R. W.Unexpectedly brilliant! I was expecting the classic "hostel" but instead got a modern industrial styled hostel/hotel. Even though we paid for the most basic of rooms, it was spacious, clean and the beds were super comfy. The staff are happy, helpful and informative. All communal areas are clean & well kept. I can't believe that Selina was my "bargain" option. Would definitely stay again when in Birmingham.
J. S.This hotel was in good location for central Birmingham, only a few minutes walk. Our bedroom was very clean, spotless ensuite and very comfy bed, and seems recently refurbished. Friendly and helpful staff. Very reasonable price for the standard afforded. Would definitely stay again, and would recommend.
A. C.Great location near the Jewellery quarter staff on reception very welcoming despite being extremely busy room was of a good standard. Nice to have a bar on site with very reasonable prices. Good breakfast in the morning again with excellent staff around. Perfect stay.

J. B.We had a 3 bunked room. The room was very basic but clean. We had shared facilities which were also clean. We could have done with some clothes hooks as there was no where to hang a coat or anything else that needs hanging.
A. W.Very noisy at night due to some nightclubs in the area. The room smelled of cigarettes even though smoking isn’t allowed inside so go figure.
The toilet light didn’t work so had to use my phone flashlight, and the overhead shower wall fixing was broken.
The community bedroom was nice and the bed was comfortable and the privacy curtain was nice. Only needed it to sleep for 5 hours so a very short stay for me anyway. Comes with a reading light, storage and charging ports, which is very handy.
C. G.I think this is a great hotel in a good location in Birmingham City centre near St Paul's Square and about a 10 min walk into the main shopping centre. Room well equipped to a good standard and at a brilliant price.

Private rooms are clean and comfortable but no luxuries like TV, tea making, hair dryer or even hand soap. The pictures on the website are misleading as the room we had was small and only had a high window with no view.
Good location and definitely worth considering but make sure your expectations are realistic

B. R.PRO:Friendly, speedy checkin. They upgraded me to a private room due to COVID 19.
The bed was extremely comfortable.
CON: Not a major con but it’s about a 10 min walk to the heart of the centre, thus it feels a little as if one is missing out on the action a little.
The private bathroom I was given( due to COVID 19) did not look as if it was cleaned before my stay. I must give them the benefit of the doubt because I’m sure COVID 19 has been a strain on running a hospitality business, therefore I didn’t make an issue of it, but it’s worth noting here for the sake of transparency.
Overall, a comfortable stay. It’s quite difficult to make an informed analysis of the hostel because I was travelling during the Covid 19 “loosening up” period. Therefore, usual hostel operations were ceased or running minimally.

P. B.Took a chance on this quirky hotel and was pleasantly surprised. It was the cheapest in the area at the time of booking, so that was already a plus, and it was within walking distance of our destination. We were welcomed with a warm smile by Gloria from Bulgaria. After filling in a quick registration form, we went to our room but a cleaner told us that the lock was broken. So we went back downstairs and were profusely apologised to. The room we did have was so cute and cosy, extremely spacious and had everything we required: a large, firm but comfy bed, lots of pillows and cushions, towels, complimentary soap etc, hooks, hangers, tables, lamps, mirrors with plug sockets next to them. The only small criticism I could make was the light wasn't bright enough in the room to do make up!
Also, they offer vegan breakfast but it comes with bread that contains milk with butter! 🤦🏾♀️ They also don't offer any vegan milk options. The blonde waitress (not from Birmingham) who served us wasn't very friendly and she forgot my black tea! She also couldn't get her facts straight; first they had no vegan sausage then they did. However, the food quality and taste was on point!

The place is not the best but it is next to the metro and bus station, so this does not become a problem. There is a kitchen in the space (but it is on the top floor, where you only reach stairs), they sell some snacks and ready meals (in addition to breakfast) which are very good. The breakfast is not very complete ... but it has the advantage of having fruits (something I almost didn't see here).
Ah, each bed (even in the mixed room with 10 seats) are closed by curtains, have plugs and their own light, a drawer and a locker with key. In addition, in this room (mixed and for 10 people), there was a very spacious bathroom inside it.
To be perfect, there is only one thing missing (in my opinion): that they create the option of an exclusively female room. Anyway, would go back and recommend !!
(In this evaluation I ignored the fact that one of the windows was not closing properly because that particular day, it didn't bother me).

(Melhor cama do mundo, sério). Ambiente agradável, aconchegante e funcionários simpáticos. O lugar não é dos melhores mas fica ao lado de estação de metro e de ônibus, então isso não se torna um problema. Há cozinha no espaço (mas fica no último andar, onde só chega de escadas), vendem alguns lanches e comidas prontas (além do café da manhã) que são muito bons. O café da manha não é muito completo... mas tem a vantagem de ter frutas (coisa que quase não vi por aqui).
Ah, cada cama (mesmo no quarto misto de 10 lugares) são fechadas por cortinas, possuem tomadas e luz própria, uma gaveta e um guarda volumes com chave. Além disso, nesse quarto (misto e de 10 pessoas), havia um banheiro dentro dele bem espaçoso.
Para ser perfeito só falta uma coisa (na minha opinião): que eles criassem a opção de quarto exclusivamente feminino. De qualquer jeito, voltaria e recomendo!!
(Nessa avaliação eu ignorei o fato de uma das janelas não estarem fechando direito pq nesse dia em específico, não me incomodou).
