We stayed in the suite. Could have been a lovely room but the finishing touches were missing. Flaking paint on ceiling, cobwebs up corners, duvet too small for the cover it was in. Tap on bath loose and shower end detached in bath so shot water out on the hole when knob knocked. Room is very noisy on the main road at front of the pub. The carpark is locked early w8th large iron gates leaving visitors to the pub crashing on the gates shouting at 1am closing. Happened approx 11pm too when someone wanted too leave ...the gates being crashed shook our room along with the shouting.
Plus points....large tv, working WiFi, comfy bed, bath in the room was lovely ....very small though.
Pub doesn't sell food but the location is brilliant, lots of pubs and takeaways on the same road, corner shop too. Only mins from the NEC and half hr from centre of Birmingham. Domestic staff very helpful. Manager very accommodating of us and pleasant to deal with.

The room was lovely, good size and comfortable bed, the bathroom unfortunately had no shower gel much to my dismay, as I was looking forward to a shower after a long drive from The West Country, I arrived with a decent greeting and to be fair the beer was cheap as chips costing only 10 odd for three pints of good beer which normally would cost twice the amount here where I live so hats for that, the bar itself was nice if not a little cold I think the heating was off, anyway there was a party going when I stayed, the town itself was great with a good curry house up the road and various neet looking pubs and houses around the area, what let this place down was the lack of coffee when I approached a staff member the day after I was told.they had no coffee, and I must admit this was a slight letdown, so there is two things, and the gate was locked too, I sm giving a three star rating because to be fair whilst it was noisy the whole night, no shower gel, and no coffee, the beer was cheap, the staff members were ok, the place reminded me of an old hotel local to me.

Popped in for a beer. I had a Guinness at £2.80 a pint. Excellent value and a descent pint. Only one lady servicing who was rushed off her feet but kept smiling. The bar is in need of a good refurbishment. Looks a little like a back Street pub in Dudley not a hotel. Besides that I enjoyed my beer and staff ( single Lady ) was friendly and busy.

Awesome hotel staff so friendly and make you feel at home. Great party atmosphere at the weekends so if you ever in Birmingham get booked in you will love it guaranteed.

The room was nice, but needed some cleaning, there was a lot of cobwebs in the shower/WC area. The bed was very comfortable but the room was cold. Staff where very friendly and tried to sort the heating problem. Was offered a different room. Would recommend as a nice place to stay

We went on a Friday night...very loud very busy in the bar area. We sat in the lounge area , was ok for a drink and a chat. If anything the seats could do with a clean and the table felt a little sticky. When it was the end of the night a guy abruptly entered from outside and shouted...were closed can you all leave ! He was quite rude. If you want people out at a stated time ask politely to finish drinks and no need to shout!

Fantastic customer service! My husband had an accident at the weekend which means he is having to move around on crutches and using a wheelchair. I phoned to ask the hotel if they could move us to a ground floor room and they were so helpful and friendly. The room was clean, warm and well equipped. Thank You to everyone at The Coach Hotel! Would definitely recommend.

Great value for money. yes its over a pub but it was all quiet by 22:45 and the rooms were pretty comfortable and newly fitted out. Only 10 mins drive from the NEC so ideal if you are exhibiting there. Would recommend

Only stayed here for a night and for good reason. The owners were nice people who I can't fault for how they were towards me. However their was some fairly big and small problems.
First up is the rooms which are compact with standard neutral colours and furnishings. My room did have a radiator but no matter what I did it refused to provide any warmth. This wouldn't usually be a problem, if the windows weren't single pane windows.
The main part of the room was clean but the bathroom had garbage in the cupboard. The sink had not been washed out either so I was left looking at someone else's beard stubble and toothpaste spittings.
Finally in the listing for this room it specified WiFi was available. However I feel this is only available in the bar area not in the rooms.
It is an OK place to stay for one maybe two nights but I wouldn't go here for a leisure trip. Ideal for a stop over.

The bathroom was just renovated. The room is basic, single comfortable bed and a small wardrobe. Wifi router was juston the door, so very good. There is parking lot, or you can on the street. There is a pub downstairs and good offer of food and shops nearby. And that's it.
No breakfast or restaurant. And the pub is very loud. If you have difficult to fall sleep, avoid it. No table or coach in the room. Not proper to work.
OK for a short stay.

Okay fairly basic rooms dated . Couldn't connect to Wi-Fi which was a pain. None of the staff were able to help. The food was a bit rough, if I have to stay again, I'll eat out. Okay for one night if nothing else available.

Booked this hotel just for a cheap basic room. Had low expectations. Very surprised as the room is great, nice and clean, modern decor. Ideal stay for close to the NEC. Lack of biscuits in the room. Nothing to dunk in tetley tea!

Not the prettiest boozer in the world, BUT good beer, helpful and polite staff, and an Old Skool crowd of local drinkers, not silly posers!! Gets MY vote 😁⚽️

(Translated) Small room and bathroom clean. Music until late at night, because the rooms are situated above a pub.
