This hotel is absolutely fine but also instantly forgettable, maybe that’s a good thing. I can’t say anything is bad but equally nothing is great. The rooms fine, the bar and reception, fine, everything’s fine. Actually the staff are really good, that’s worth a mention. So basically this is definitely quite good.

This is quite a new Village Hotel close to, but not in, Glasgow City Centre. It is priced at the top end of the Village price range, so you will rarely manage to find a deal priced at the advertised ticket amount at this particular Village Hotel. It has a good gym and pool and the bar and grill/restaurant are pretty good too. Quite frankly, they need to be, as there is nothing else nearby (unless you count the Premier Inn bar/restaurant a cross the road - and the Village beats it hands down).
Despite its relatively young age, there are signs of wear and tear (broken locks, bathroom mould, badly marked carpets). It obviously is well used so it is at the stage of the rooms needing a level of refresh.
In general, staff are friendly and helpful but the service in the restaurant can be variable, breakfast is just okay (although much improved from last year, just after it reopened after lockdown - it was truly awful then). The orange juice is cheap, watery concentrate and the coffee is in no danger of competing with the in-house Starbucks). Best to go for breakfast early if you want a pain-au-chocolat.
Not a bad hotel, with some good facilities and some good value deals but could do better.

I had to stay over two weeks in the hotel, and I did enjoy the stay. The rooms were clean, the staff was super friendly. I very much appreciated availability of various essentials in the room, such as an ironing board, an iron, a kettle and some instant coffees with cream, and enough coat hangers. It was also great to be able to use the gym/swimming pool.
I would recommend staying there, but there are a couple of things I think should definitely improve:
-breakfast - it'd be great if it were open until 10.00; simple stuff like raisins or nuts for cereals would be great, the variety of cereals should include a good muesli, and it'd be great if these were not in single-packed boxes to help avoid unnecessary extra packages and rubbish;
-bar - it'd be great if it were open until 00:00 or even 01:00, the closing time of the bar at 23:00 was really unfortunate, as usually that's the time where one'd be done with dinner elsewhere, and the possibility of having a drink after being back at the hotel would be much appreciated.
-mini bar - it would have been great to have a little mini bar in the room, just to keep a couple of things cool, like some snacks/ drinks.

Is not easy to rate the hotel as some experiences were good, while other were quite disappointing. I stayed 3 weeks there and the hotel is not prepared for such long stays. The rooms are small and there is no enough space to hang clothes. The voluntary service from some of the staff in reception provided some extra hangers, although there was still not enough space for clothes. The rooms have no fridges of any kind and I needed one to keep some medicines during my stay. Thanks to the concern from the manager Jamie Stevens, he organizes a small fridge for my room, that was delivered some days later. In between, I was provided with some cooling gel to keep the medicines cold. Once the fridge arrives, the next day, the housekeeper unplugged it, losing my medicines the cold chain for almost 8 hours. Again, thanks to Jamie, he took care and got new medicines for me. He is quite oriented in client satisfaction and being sure that everything runs good.
Bed was very comfy and I love the big pool downstairs. The atmosphere in the lobby was more of a club rather than a hotel, being a relaxed place after work and a cool concept for a city hotel. I was quite disappointed with the food quality. Breakfast was either full of fast sugars and carbohydrates or fatty British one. Food ordered at the restaurant was served in amazing 2 minutes, doubting of it was really fresh made or simply fast food.
From all staff, I have to remark the excellent service, kindness, happiness and willingness to help clients of the Spanish girl at the breakfast service (unfortunately I forgot her name). She make every morning to be a better one. And also, the staff at the gym/pool were very attentive.
Unfortunately, on the last day I have a quite disappointed issue. Although I have booked a taxi days in advance for my departure midday to the station, the taxi never appeared. I know this was not an issue of the hotel, but the receptionist was not very helpful in trying to call a taxi from any company. He repeated “sorry about that” leaving me waiting for half an hour for a taxi that never came. Fortunately, a colleague of mine, whose taxi arrived on time, offered me to use hers (she was still having plenty of time to depart). The taxi drivers was so cool that she makes me arriving to the station one minute before departure.
Definetively, there are things to improve at the hotel, but I’m sure the manager is in the right direction to offer a better service.

Very much enjoyed my 10 day stay in the Village Hotel in Glasgow. Staff was very friendly. The room was clean, and I slept very well in the bed which had two types of pillows The restaurant/bar also is recommendable. Loved the heated pool and also enjoyed the gym including spinning classes.
Overall very recommendable!!

Stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of December. Room was clean but small. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Busy hotel.
Had dinner the first night within the hotel and was disappointed as my main course was cold and had to be returned to be reheated. Typical chain pub grub food, nothing special. The staff within the restaurant were polite and friendly.

Really nice hotel. Friendly, welcoming staff. Comfortable, well equipped rooms. Brilliant bar / restaurant area with a good menu and very tasty food. Excellent location for the Hydro.
G. M.
Great staff and overall a great hotel. Quiet and comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast , wants not to like . Thanks to Russell and his team for a fantastic stay
N. H.
Overall pretty good and very clean. Just is too busy in the lobby and gym if you are staying a long time. Bar gets too crowded for some reason. The bugers are all burned and taste like hockey pucks. The rest of the menu is OK but limited and way over priced.
s. H.
The hotel and facilities are great. Rooms good size, modern and clean. Pool area good and well organised. Bar area is good size and nicely decorated and location is great for what we wanted, however I was very disappointed in the choice of food in the restaurant. It really let down our stay.
S. S.
Great room very clean and tidy,
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Leisure facilities are excellent swimming pool, sauna ,steam room, jacuzzi.
B. G.
Hotel was brilliant, the pool and spa was also excellent. Room was perfect and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was very tasty and quick service
C. R.
Was there last weekend. The place is very clean and well presented. The staff can't do enough for you . We had evening meal and it was superb. Only gripe was queue on Sunday morning for breakfast. Other than that our stay was superb.
S. n.
Great sized rooms. We had a double for one night. There is a restaurant, gym, pool and a Starbucks on the ground floor. Breakfast is available and includes cooked and cool options. The rooms have the standard tv etc, but were well sized and the bathroom was not one of those plastic pod bathrooms you get in some cheaper hotels. Staff were friendly and plenty of sanitizer stations around. When rooms are cleaned there is a sticker placed across the door showing that it's now sealed since being cleaned.

Tried a few hotels over the last couple of years and having used a village hotel in London I thought I'd give the one in Glasgow a try.
Checked in rather late on Monday night after a nightmare journey and was met by a smiling happy staff member who checked me in quickly and asked if I was looking for something to eat whether I would prefer it brought upto my room where I could relax for the evening.
Brilliant I thought so food ordered I went upto my room.
Well proportioned immaculately clean and the bed was comfortable.
What more could you ask for.
Room service arrived and the food was superb.
Breakfast was well presented and delicious too.
Stayed a couple of nights and checking out was also simple and quick.
Very happy with my couple of days at the village so decided to book a few more for my next trip this time with family in about a month.
D. C.
Rooms clean, nice amenities and decor. Restaurant has gone down hill. Don't expect anything more than reheated pub grub (which many many others do better). Prices remain high though (far too high for quality).

Great hotel with a good sports bar..... enjoyed my time watching the big fight 'Kell Brook v Amir Khan', Staff were friendly and the place had a good atmosphere
G. R.
Great hotel, great location for some who opted to walk daily to the SEC.
The team was spectacular and even when there where some short comings e.g They had charged me for 2 pcs dry clean suit by error they apologized and rectified the error.
Positive things,
Tea, coffee and water cooker, ironing board and iron and hair dryer where available and ready for use.
Some tips for improvement
Especially during the cold season, turn on the heaters in the bathroom so one can have an option of reusing the towel for few more days and avoid daily change.
If possible, the fitted sheets and the pillow cases change every 3 days will be a welcome idea.
Incase another opportunity arises of hosting delegates who will be staying for a longer period, investigate the option investing in having small refrigerators in the rooms.
If possible, avoid the payment weekly reminders shoved under the door if you already know that your client has still several days in the hotel before checkout. Maybe their account is open as they might add another item on the same bill or prefer to have all transactions in 1 bill and avoid extra charges from their banks. A reminder 1 day prior to checkout date is much more welcome
Otherwise, perfect team, perfect service

Fairly serious leak in the bar/restaurant which hasn't been fixed for at least two days. Food in the restaurant is pretty limited and the majority of the "hot breakfast" was cold. Room is spacious and clean.
D. O.
It was awesome the rooms were always clean and well kept and they have very friendly staff. Always ready to assist any time.
R. B.
Very good overnight stay. Lovely breakfast.Would recommend
m. c.
3 Night stay, very pleasant, limited menu but good food on there
B. P.
Modern, clean, plenty of car park spaces and a gym, close enough to the city centre if you want to go out to eat but without the noise you get when staying in the city centre
S. B.
Staff ultra helpful and very welcoming. Personally I do not think football colours should be allowed in the restaurant hence 1 star off.
b.
Had lovely wee night away dinner bed n breakfast full use facillaties well enjoyed defo go again lovely rooms n super comfy beds
S. O.
Location was great- very close to tourist spots. Free parking, clean, spacious, hotel with lobby, gym, bar and outdoor sitting options. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable bed and the facilities were great.
Self-check in was cool- I did all by myself, including creating a card for the room entry.
Check out was easy, too.
Would book again for sure. Loved it.
B. M.
Typical Village stay, every one exactly the same wherever you are, clean rooms but awful beds. What makes them a reasonable place to stay is the staff, the staff as always were brilliant. Freindly, helpfull and do mostly go above and beyond.
P. C.
I wasn't confident at first having had a previous bad experience, this time I can honestly say it was a pleasure and an amazing journey from start to finish. At reception the staff member went through the check in procedure making me feel covid safe and relaxed. Everything was explained to me and the check in was smooth, great start. The rooms were spacious, modern and very clean and tidy, the cotton sheets were first class compared to cheaper hotels, makes a difference. The pool was a welcome extra which came with the club room, staff again first class and pool well run and spotless. We tried the bar, the euros were on and it was very busy, didn't have to wait long to get served considering and the service was polite and friendly, not bad prices either. Breakfast was a feast, again smooth operation which made you feel relaxed. Check out friendly and made us want to return again soon.
CAN'T FAULT IT FOR A FUN RELAXING EXPERIENCE

Great night spent here enjoyed the gym and bar
will definitely be back again soon

Loved this overnight stay. Had a peaceful evening, great sleep. Staff were helpful and friendly. Facilities were also great.
G. M.
Great boutique type hotel, bright clean and good selection from menu.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
M. M.
Food very nice, handy to go before a show at hydro
t. b.
Nice rooms, friendly staff and great pool and gym facilities
M. P.
Food is fine. Though it would be very expensive for what it is without the membership discount.

Lovely one night stay. Bed really comfy, breakfast lovely

Have stayed at the Village in Glasgow a few times prior to Covid. Always enjoyed our visits. On this occasion we were a bit disappointed. On arrival Darren at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. However firstly in our Club room, it was unusual to find no Glasses, only teacups. When we used the bar facilities we were shocked to be charged £15.90 for a beer and large wine.£11.00 for a wine!!! Unfortunately the breakfast was well below par. I would like to return to the Village but they need to up their game in places to compete with other hotels.
D. E.
Great hotel and service would use again if I was in the area.
A. K.
It has all the right facilities. However, the quality of rooms and breakfast needs improvement.
Update 05-Mar-2022:
Stayed here again. Rooms still need improvement. Didn't have breakfast here as I was seriously put off the last time. Facilities are still good.
A. L.
The hotel is situated in a good area not far from anywhere. Food in the restaurant was tasty and fresh. We booked two rooms and both were nice clean and fairly new with aircon/ heating and a nice view from the window. I'm giving 4 stars because our rooms were not cleaned for 3 days and I don't think that this is ok. However, we will be back should we need too stay in a hotel.
J. M.
Hotel room was clean and bed was comfortable. Thought it would have more of a New York loft feel from website photos.. ok for business stayover. Very corporate.. nothing special..
Pleasant staff and breakfast was lovely.. very nice staff working the buffet. Reception on check in and out were efficient and friendly. Self check in was ok if not slightly confusing as it asks for code for carpark but means registration. You also have to put blank card on a machine for the door key but it wouldn't work..
J. P.
Hotel very good in general! Great big beds with two pillows! Swimming pool and extra facilities +++. Staff nice. Unfortunately, windows were very dirty and our carpet looks like it wasn’t hoover properly, so one star less for it, but recommend in general.
S. L.
Went to stay for business purposes for 3 nights. It was really nice. Good sized room and facilities. Food was lovely and drinks were reasonably priced. Never used gym or spa so couldn't comment on that.
N. D.
What a lovely massage, spa area beautiful ,spa staff Amazing very attentive and good at what they do. Other staff need a little work ... Per example the gym reception not very welcoming considering it was our first time here and didn't have a clue what we were doing or where anything was. Would return though as the facilities are great, little busy though.
A. F.
Had a great night would definitely recommend it xx
R. Y.
Popped in for a beer, busy but service is good
Y. F.
Room clean, but no usable outlet in bathroom and barely any light in the bathroom. No full body mirror. No plugs next to the bed to charge phones, really inconvenient. No refrigerator or basic amenities in the room. Closet has no door, very basic rooms. The beds slide all around the place because they are on wheels. Breakfast not very good because the eggs and meat were always undercooked. Croissants were good. Overall friendly staff. Gym was the best part of this hotel. We will probably not stay here again.
M. S.
Friendly, rooms are well equipped and fairly modern. Nice to have a pool and a well equipped gym. Breakfast was OK over all but the scrambled egg was rubbish, don't think it had ever seen a real egg! Also the rooms could do with having better lighting. Was a bit dark.
K. P.
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Not sure why guests need to pay for parking when all the gym members appeared not to pay. In addition to the shampoo and shower gel...some body lotion would have been nice...as well as a small selection of herbal teas. Breakfast can be added at a very good price. Overall, considering the above points, hotel was a lot more expensive compared to other brands for the same night. I only stayed here because of an event in the hotel.
E. P.
Just attended one of the many Christmas party nights of the festive season.....professional reception staff guiding guests to the event....food, hot, and well prepared and tasted great, served by efficient staff. bar staff worked well to cater for large orders, DJ gave a good mix of music to suit every taste. I would recommend this hotel for a Christmas Night Out. Thanks to all staff for a great evening. Will book again for next year.
J. C.
Comfy rooms good leisure facilities
J. M.
Starbucks in here is good and although small has all the usual drinks, cakes and snacks from any Starbucks. Staff are friendly. I am usually here on matchdays but even with that in mind there are always seats about. The pub section can get busy but the food there is great and do some great offers. Never stayed in the hotel but everywhere looks clean and well kept
M. A.
Used the car park for a gig at the hydro. Good variety of food too!
D. D.
Amazing hotel, with a modern design and many facilities such as a swimming pool, gym and sauna. pretty easy to get to, you can get to, there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. There's a really nice bar and the food was excellent (Recommend the sirloin). Overall really happy with the experience.
S. N.
Amazing gym! Amazing staff and the best part is the Starbucks!💥💥
E. J.
Absolutely great. Nothing to complain about. Food accommodation and facilities were all fab. Would recommend this hotel to everybody. Loved it. Great sleep. Swimming great steam room was fab I don't do sauna's but my husband does and complaints. Try it out for yourself it will be worth it.

Fantastic room, great and friendly service. Can’t speak for the fitness facilities, as I had a back injury and couldn’t try them 😅. Social distancing measures and cleaning are top-notch. Stayed here twice in the last few weeks.
A.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was lovely, though the soup was cold. Great entertainment and drinks staff were particularly friendly with a good helpful attitude. O lyrics criticism was the cash machine was out of service, so I had to use my card all night which I don't like to do. I think someone should be checking it regularly to ensure its working.
S. F.
Comfortable, quiet, very clean, modern. Efficient, helpful staff. Quite decent food if you want to stay in, and the hotel app for ordering was excellent. Don't come for the breakfast though, really nothing special, but not a deal breaker. I would definitely stay again.
G. S.
Such a lovely hotel in a great location. The style of the hotel is amazing. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. I love the décor. I didn't eat in the restaurant but the food was lovely in from the bar.
The spa was lovely to use. Grabbing a swim and relaxing in the facilities after a long drive.
I would recommend staying at this hotel.
A. v. W.
Clean room and nice layout. Nice vibe in the lobby and super helpful staff. Loved the fitness centre!! The pool is at least 20m wide with dedicated lap lanes and really nice facilities including sauna and steam room. Good breakfast with variety and convenient on site Starbucks. Very close to the Science Centre and the SSE Arena.
G. G.
This is a good hotel and great value. For anyone visiting the SSE Hydro or the Science Centre (and Cineworld IMAX) the location is brilliant too. The food was good, and the room was spotless too. The main reason for the 3 stars is that they seemed very understaffed (this is post-Covid reopening) and the App it advises you to download to speak to members of staff for assistance doesn't work properly. No chat option for one thing. Couldn't get reception to pick up when using the in-room phone either as the staff all seemed to be doing 10 jobs at once. It'll get better I'm sure, and I would stay again.
M. S.
Love, love, love it. I Don't stay anywhere else when I go to see a show at the Hydro. The rooms are spacious and spotless. Love the rain shower and the toiletries smell amazing and the beds are so comfy. Bar is good for food and a drink post show always good deals on. Haven't used the spa but maybe one day. Short walk to the Hydro over the river. The staff are so friendly and even remembered I had stayed 6 months previously. Definitely worth a visit.
D. S.
A great hotel to stay, check in was easy, room was modern and clean, didn't have view from our window but didn't spend too much time there. Food was good, they also have a Costa on site. Be aware of all the extras you have to pay for ( breakfast, dinner, use of gym) they were always asking if I wanted to upgrade( costing more not free) lots of parking next to hotel.
J. C.
Good room sizes, comfortable bed and good food in the bar/grill means that there's very little to not like about the hotel. I can't speak about the quality of the gym and pool facilities but they seem to have a decent amount of traffic to them so can only assume they're of a good quality.
S. H.
This Village Hotel actually had the room ready with the requested allergy free bedding when others have failed. The staff are really friendly , professional and really are prepared to help. Breakfast was a good choice and good quality. Staff were very good and attentive asking if everything was alright, checking if i needed more soys milk too. Had a very enjoyable stay. Husband enjoyed the sauna
M. T.
Used to belong to the gym there but was also able to use the place as an office space, as there was good internet, a starbucks, their own restaurant and bar and comfrotable seating or more office style seating. Staff are always friendly and willing to chat and help.
F. D.
The rooms here are awesome. Don't like their automatic check in and out system. We had booked a night and then added another on separately, the staff said it would be no problem and we could keep our room but the automatic system must have not liked it as it kept locking us out our room.
N. M.
Good modern hotel. Costa, restaurant, bar just what you would expect from a modern, contemporary hotel.
Good selection of beer and food. Sport bar with TVs and quite slightly more formal restaurant, although it is not stuffy or rigid.
Cheap during mid-week but price humped up and nearly tripled for the same room at a weekend (minus 1 star)
s. d.
Their chef made a chicken burger even though it was not on the menu! Bed was so comfortable that I wanted to take a picture of their mattress and buy one for home. Breakfast was good. This hotel is not too far from the conference centre, £4-£6 cab ride or, you can walk. Highly recommended.
N. C.
Really nice hotel, stayed with my son. The room was very big for a standard double with nice en-suite and very clean.
We enjoyed the using the swimming pool and spa area.
All the staff we encountered were very friendly & helpful.
The location is excellent, we drove.
We ate in hotel restaurant at night & although expensive the food was very nice.
Was very disappointed in the breakfast though. Even the coffee was nasty.
overall we enjoyed our stay.
S. W.
Excellent hotel. Lovely modern vibe. Excellent staff. Spacious rooms. Excellent pool and fitness suite. I have stayed multiple times and have always enjoyed it. Both business and pleasure visits. Very good food. Free parking. Quiet area of Glasgow great links to airport, science center and city centre.
A. M.
Looks great from outside. Really modern and chic. Inside its looking a little worn already with marks on the walls and carpets looking dirty. My hotel room wasn't cleaned well before I stayed, with marks left in the toilet bowl and obvious urine staining on the toilet roll (why keep the spare roll so close behind the toilet? Men spill sometimes!) Also the air con fan doesn't really have a quiet mode, if you want to sleep I'd recommend switching it off! In addition the USB wall charger buzzes continually unless it's charging. Had good service and a nice meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was nice with cooked selection available. There is also a gym, spa and Starbucks on site.
D. C.
Great place, excellent food and kind friendly staff. Our waiter for the night was fantastic, pleasant, chatty but not hovering over us and never tried to rush us out once we had finished our meal. Lovely place to stay and the Sunday night deal is excellent. If booking look on their own website before committing to book off a comparison website, they seem to have some deals that do not show up on the comparison websites.
C. R.
Stayed here twice, standard rooms seem on the crampt side. Good location to walk into city though. Absolute faff not having kettles anymore but staff happy to help when go down for a drink.
L. A.
Great day out with my daughter who took me for some pampering at their Spa. (First time I've been to one ) Felt great after it and an nice surprise of a light lunch was included. Defoe recommend it. Staff were very nice and plesant
C. S.
Good place. Only going for the gym and for the spa ,which is getting quite down and dirty with the years . Also the parking is not free anymore, even with the membership . Restaurant is expensive for what it is . However the staff is amazing . Don't know about the hotel. In summary, it's good but need some.effort to be great
C. O.
Friendly and helpful staff within a great location. The food was constantly good and the only reason this isn't a 5 star is because my room was a little dusty in some areas and one of my plug sockets didn't work. Other than that, I had 4 very pleasant nights at the village hotel Glasgow.
J. W.
Very convenient location. Very pleasant reception staff. Breakfast food quality could be improved.
S. C.
Really nice hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious with very good leisure facilities (including a pool). The on-site Starbucks and bar are both good places to get food, drinks however I do find the layout of the hotels restaurant to be a bit "school dining room" like.
D. V. (. G.
I was here for work training and I stayed overnight. The hotel looks stunning, rooms are nice and comfy, the food was great and the business/conference room we used was very functional with a projector, speakers system and dimmable lighting. The service was amazing, the staff very nice and friendly. Overall a very pleasant experience
L. W. (.
Really nice hotel, everything is still new and beds are really comfortable. Food in the pub was great but alcohol was expensive (£9 for 2 drinks).
Staff weren't very friendly and didn't speak to us. The coffee in our room was all decaf so we asked if we could have some more regular coffee. Waited ages to ask with no apology for the wait and were given their standard coffee rather than the Starbucks via coffee we should have got in the room. There was also no Bose speaker dock as advertised.
I understand the hotel isn't in the most scenic location but the view from the back of the hotel is horrendous (and we had paid extra for an upperdeck room). I imagine the front facing rooms on the higher levels would have been okay.
Waited twenty minutes to check out with no apology again. Staff could really do with being more friendly but the guys in the Starbucks are lovely.
J. M.
Nice place. No kettle or fridge in room which let it down. Very clean in all areas, nice coffee area and bar. Food normal pub grub. Excellent position for arena and centre. Would go again
S. B.
Decent hotel for the price, but found the room was quite dirty (noticed half eaten lollipops under the bed) and no response to a housekeeping request made through the app...

===Context===
Stayed here for 3 nights during a conference at SEC
===Pros===
Really nice room. Small but well appointed.
Nice bathroom.
Comfortable bed -- slept really well.
Plenty of power sockets.
Good wifi.
Friendly check-in staff.
Convenient for SEC.
===Cons===
Ate at the restaurant two nights. Food arrived suspiciously quickly after ordering. Tasted fine; not great, but fine.
Self-service check-in; I'm not a fan
===Other===
Starbucks in lobby. Overpriced and unfriendly staff.
Breakfast fine.
Gym looked good but didn't get a chance to use it.
===Conclusion===
Would be very happy to stay here again.
P. M.
Hotel is nice but attended a wedding and setup was strange. Hotel bar had a better stock of drinks and did cocktails yet you couldn't take them through to the function room. Not to mention the price difference in the 2 bars although that wasn't the issue, it was more the different and better selection of drinks.
M. L.
I am disappointed I could not give this hotel a 5* raining, I really wanted too. It has a great spa and health club, a trademark of the brand I believe. It had good staff and rooms. It was let down however by food and cleanliness.
Breakfast was limited although nice, not Scottish offering in a Scottish hotel is unusual for a chain and I was looking forward to haggis, tattie scones and scrambled egg (the most amazing breakfast... seriously try it it’s awesome) but it was not to be. Cleanliness wise my shower base was brown and discoloured and I did not feel comfortable using it, so I went down to the spa and used theirs instead.
The food from the restaurant may be good but none of us went there as it was so overpriced... even for a major city.. it was cheaper for us to get a taxi into town and back and eat there.
It is a good hotel but it could be better please make the restaurant cheaper, scottify your breakfast and bleach your shower bases... if you do you will probably get 5* next time.
D. H.
Contemporary hotel in a great location for the SECC and The Hydro. Very helpful and efficient staff and good social distancing arrangements.
J. D.
Great staff very friendly food in the evening was good but a bit pricey for what it is the breakfast in the morning was a disaster and cold no fried eggs only to order so buy the time you get your egg cooked you have finished your cold food also as the hotel is in Scotland no black pudding on the self service prity disappointed with the breakfast but the staff made our stay . Just another small thing no biscuits with the tea / coffee in the rooms the rooms were very clean and warm we were at the back of the hotel and it was very quiet
M. A.
Overall nice place with a nice walk from the river. However, the breakfast really lacked alot that other places seem to offer like a more select menu, that includes things like actually nice Vegetarian sausages and a taster food selection.
The room is nice and the ends were comfortable and staff were nice but overall the breakfast really let down the stay.
s. m.
I attended an event at The Village Hotel, and my partner has a membership to the gym there. Haven't stayed overnight. The gym is apparently quite good, and the staff that served the bar and meal while I attended the event were very professional. Bar prices as you would expect for a hotel. Seems quite new and chic.
Y. C.
Great location for events. Nice relaxed contemporary design throughout. Our room had an Echo dot, large TV and nice walk in rainfall shower. Bar food expensive and not a massive range of alcohol available but it's comfy and relaxed. Check in and out was a quick smooth process.
R. B.
Twice i've visited this hotel while down for training and honestly cannot fault the service especially on my most recent stay. Russell was so helpful getting me checked in and making sure I knew where I was going and what time I had to come down for breakfast and such. Again while I was checking me out he was a huge help as I'd left somthing in the room and I had a lovely chat with him while he got another key made up for me to go get my things. Would highly recommend this hotel and fully intend on staying here whenever i'm down in glasgow. 10 out of 10, well done guys!
Also special mention to the servers in the restaurant who were so friendly and helpful.
s. a.
Very nice hotel. Lovely rooms, nice and clean. Coffee and tea in the rooms. Good service. Sweet staff, very helpful. Great bar where you can get some food to. They could stay open a bit longer though. But cozy place where you can watch some football. Also lovely spa. Near the bus stop. Very close to see hydro if you are going to a concert.
J. W.
Great staff, good social distancing rules. Great food, rooms clean and good size. Great position in city to get out and about.

Went for the day in the leisure center area. Swimming pool was heated a small very spacious, the steam room and sauce were both good however I feel the sauna could have been a bit hotter. The jacuzzi was nice and I like the fact they only have specific times children are allowed in the pool. Makes for a more relaxing experience
D. H.
A really nice hotel with a nice modern room. The staff here were really nice and helpful. The shower was really good. Good parking which happened to be free but I think this was a one off.
A. I.
Friendly, helpful staff. Decent food in the bar, with a choice of burgers and ribs if you don't want anything fancy. Good portions. A swimming pool and gym to work it all off, too. Room was large with air conditioning that went down to 17C, which is ok if you prefer to sleep in a cooler room. This particular room had two double beds in, which I suppose is useful if you need to share to keep costs down. Ironing board comes with with room. Free internet, that seemed a decent speed and good location. For reference, perhaps 4 minutes from BBC Scotland office. Breakfast in the morning was quite nice, and a buffet. However, they will cook you eggs from scratch if you'd prefer not to have the scrambled eggs in display e.g. if you'd prefer poached or fried. Would stay there again. Facilities were good and no current building work, like the Premier Inn across the road. The downsides for me were the mirror in the bedroom which was really dusty and the cushions they placed on the bed looked nice, but were stuffed with feathers. I always check bed pillows, but it didn't occur to me to check the cushions. By the morning I was having an allergic reaction. This is such a serious oversight that I've knocked off an extra star. A pity. Otherwise this would have rated highly for me.

An amazing weekend boogie bingo is the future hotel was very accommodating changed our room straight away when we had a problem with the heating and were helpful to everybody when the fire alarm went off!! Would definitely recommend it
G. W.
Go regular as a meeting point, very friendly staff. Gym is fantastic very clean good classes pool is spotless. Never stayed in the hotel, but I'm sure that would be first class aswell
P. P.
Good room, though there are larger rooms available at the same cost if you have a superior room... Those looking north are much bigger. Rooms are generally really nice though with a decent bathroom.
Great gym and spa facility as part of the superior room cost.
Food is not the best. We has some poor pub menu meals and some really poor grill service, food was a bit better in the grill. Breakfast is not as good as a premier inn; croissants were stale and food sometimes a little on the underdone side, cooked but could do with more time.
O. O.
> Please like helpful reviews < Nice hotel with simple, automated check in. Comfortable rooms, clean and good facilities. Unfortunately, I paid extra to stay here for the pool and was only told the pool was out of order after I'd paid even more on arrival to use it! Very upsetting as it had been out of order since before I booked. I complained about the situation and nothing was done to resolve it. Shame as a great hotel stay was soured by poor customer service.

Similar to other Village hotels.
Double room was nice.
Bed was comfy.
Although the air conditioning/ heating made it difficult to keep the room quiet and warm.
Facilities were good.
Pool, sauna etc were decent.
Bar is nice although pricy.
Breakfast was good.

Brill hotel chain. Easy access through Glasgow with ample free parking not the usual £8-£12 a night rubbish. Check in simple. Lovely room with chance to upgrade available. Our deal came with food 1st night, breakfast both mornings and all the glasgy patter you can ask for. Very friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend.

I live just around the corner so I don't think I'll ever have to stay in the hotel, but the gym is fantastic and I LOVE how they sample the water from pool & spa bath regularly, also checking the sauna and steam equipment several times in an hour. These things are super important to me.
As for the changing areas, despite the ungracefulness of most customers, the staff is doing an amazing job to keep the area tidy and hygenic around the clock!
I'm a big fan of the premises!
J. R.
Nice modern facilities. Good size pool that has a steam room sauna and Jacuzzi. Bar has good food and plenty of televisions for watching the football. Used a Groupon voucher that gives 10 uses of the pool or gym for £22 (you have 5 weeks to use the voucher one you activate it) there is also a Starbucks on site .
M. G.
I've never used it as a hotel BUT it has great gym facilities if maybe a little expensive. The food is ok ish but I wouldn't run out and eat here again any time soon. If you eat here before a show though you get free parking for the Hydro, Secc and Amarillo which is handy.
J. G.
Young, urban, noisy hotel that's a bit like an e-bay warehouse with comfy chairs. Maybe I'm getting old but the place is alive, and the bar staff are superb - they serve the best Bloody Mary I've had in a long time. An exceptionally comfortable bed too with a spacious room.
K. C. G.
This is such a stylish boutique hotel. Also my local coffee house with the Starbucks and a cool pub and a gym. It's kinda a local hub. The rooms are decent enough. Standard size but with a trendy decor that goes with the styling of the whole place really. Def worth a stay. Well located for the secc complex 👍🏽
E. D.
Big and stylish room. Cheery, helpful staff but missing some hotel-y touches: basic toiletries in pump dispensers, not enough pillows, no tissues, housekeeping at a minimum. Tea at breakfast involved being presented with a mug of hot water from a flask. Feels like it can't decide whether to be fancy or budget.
N. H.
Nice hotel and good location, great facilities, room is clean and spacious, however the hardest bed ever slept on in a hotel and walls are thin so not a good night's sleep unfortunately, would have been 5 stars if not for that. Room 207
M. w.
Great to be back after a year got to meet friends from last visit Rebecca, Fiona, Martin, Alaina, Lynette, Aaron, Sammie, it was just the same as pre lock down with a few of the extras not there but it made no difference everyone was still helpful we will be visiting again soon I hope and so should you hotel and staff FANTASTIC.
J. G.
Was here for a spa day. Had full use of the facilities and 2 25 minute treatments. The pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were all very nice and clean. The treatments at the spa also couldn't be faulted. Very nice
R. G.
Very friendly staff, bright comfortable rooms, super spa area although the spa pool was not working (my favourite part), spotlessly clean and great, fresh food. Our second visit and we will most certainly return.
J. M.
Lovely hotel, would recommend to anyone staying here
P. H.
Very nice hotel. My room was great, and I liked the decor of the whole hotel. Breakfast could be slightly better. Better quality tea, bread and bacon would be nice. The staff were all amazingly helpful and cheerful.
D. W.
Was ok to stay a day or two but I was there a week. Not happy with the rooms. Could hear the couple in the room next to us. And on the other side, which was a connecting door. A woman was on her speaker phone for hours. We could hear everything pretty clearly. I understand this happens in hotels but seems walls are way too thin here.
S. E.
Good bar... nice clean rooms.... lovely staff (super lovely) but a lacking the details (no conditioner, moisturiser ...fridge... pen....) and the decor choices are a bit off.... that pic that looks like mould .. is the non slip stuff in the shower it's there on purpose
T. H.
Really well equipped gym, excellent staff. Pool with jacuzzi, sauna and stream room is excellent too! Bar is quite nice and there's a Starbucks built into lobby area.
D. A.
I like how quirky this hotel is, has a really friendly vibe and the decor is great. The checking in/out is so quick and simple. Nice bar area and the food is pretty good too. Perfect venue if you're going to see something at the arena
H. Y.
Probably best hotel in the area. It’s got a huge gym with good selection of equipment. Restaurant is ok, not great. Rooms are small but accommodating. It has a Starbucks inside the hotel which is useful as there’s no restaurants or cafes in the area.
r. a.
My daughters burger was very dry and had grissle in it, my dad had the chickpea curry and said it was pretty bad, my son had the kids chicken strips and he said one was disgusting, I tried it and it tasted like fish?! Possibly fried in old oil?? the others were OK, my chicken was lovely however and my sisters BLT was massive and she said it was yum! The kids dessert took ages, it was only a Brownie and some ice cream!! So a rather mixed bag, don't think we will be back :(
g. g.
Quirky boutique hotel. Fab spa sauna and pool for just £5 entry (if not in your booking). Superb room service menu - best meal I've had in ages. Starbucks on site downstairs. 5* fantastic!
S. N.
Loved this place, its on its own island and the decor is modern fresh and beautiful. Very welcoming to the visitor BUT the staff have to work long long hours I noted seeing the same person late night and early the next morning. Nice bar and restaurant facilities very basic breakfast but sufficient.
K. R.
This is the best Village I have stayed in (and I've stayed in several ).
Unlike many others, there is no problem with either the phone signal or the WiFi signal. There's also good conditioning.
The gym is excellent.
My room was clean and spacious
J. R.
We had a great 3nights stay. We loved it here! Staff very friendly & helpful, always cheery. It's a happy place to stay and we've booked to visit again....can't wait!!
t. c.
Hotel was very cool. Very clean rooms, modern, very clean modern looking bathrooms. The corridors were a bit old looking, and elevator felt rickety. Front desk reception wasnt as friendly but for the most part I was pretty satisfied.
W. T.
Really nice place, very modern. Room was a good size, but I think I will upgrade my room next time for a bit more space.
Checkin was painless, a few ipads at the front desk, enter your details and you are good to go.
Breakfast was pretty much what you expect, not the biggest buffet but covers the basics, croissants, sausages, eggs, Greek yoghurt fruit compote. All very tasty.
C. B.
I was attending Village Hotel for an event called Anatomy Lab Live. The menu was provided before we attended and unfortunately there was no choice. I didn't really enjoy my dinner, neither did my partner. I don't order chicken at the best of times and this was on the bone. I mostly ate the vegetables. My partner didn't like the vegetables so thankfully got his. The potato was strange as was like cauliflower cheese but with potato. I didn't enjoy the pudding either but tried it. I'm not usually a fussy person but one meal option is not going to be to everyone's taste. The function was enjoyable although there were lots of problems with the sound. I had to use the disabled toilet and it was covered in thick layers of dust!! I don't know if the disabled toilet is an after thought so doesn't get cleaned or if the other toilets were like this too. Very disappointed
p.
Lovely stay, clean and comfortable.
A. M.
Was a lovely hotel but couldn't have brought my kids here as it was very expensive for food and drink. I paid extra for a bigger room and a coffee machine. Wouldn't like to see the other room as it wasn't huge and our coffee machine was filthy so couldn't use it.
K. C.
Very nice stay at the Village Hotel Club in Glasgow. Managed to get a deal where it was £99 for two nights at the weekend so snapped it up. The day before I was emailed and offered an upgrade to a club room which was £18 extra. Took this offer and used the bus network to the hotel. The bus stop is literally 200 metres from the hotel which is helpful.
Check in was easy enough using the self check in iPads on the front desk. Hotel has a bar, restaurant, gym, pool and Starbucks in the lobby.
The club room was a disappointment if I'm being honest as although it was welcoming and cosy it was a small room, like smaller than your average Premier Inn room. The extras seemed to be a coffee machine (incredibly loud and miniscule offering of two coffee pods) and sky TV which gave a no signal being received message every five minutes. The room was clean and the bed was comfy however.
That aside the stay was grand. Very friendly and helpful staff. Useful transport links close by and things to do such as the Clydeside Distillery.
The food in the restaurant was delicious albeit a little overpriced.
Would stay again but only if it was for a deal like I got as the rooms for one night at the weekend could reach £150.
N. C.
Hotel is good. Need to pay an extra £5 to use the gym, which is a bit ridiculous. It's got everything in the gym, even a punch bag and lots of mirrors so people can watch themselves texting whilst doing very little. Modern world I suppose
D. D.
Had a day using the gym and leisure facilities. The gum is well equipped and up to date although more floor space for free weights would be good. The pool, jacuzzi and steam room were great to relax after a workout.
p. w.
Nice hotel. Bit expensive for what it is and the firm 3pm check in is a little late (my US colleagues mean 3pm is call time!). WiFi was sporadic and breakfast wasn't included. Handy for the media village but not much in the way of food options without a walk over the bridge some would be considered a captured food market which keeps costs high. Bit sparse on this side of the water.
P. C.
I was part of the hen night on Saturday night at the Buble tribute and had a fabulous time. The food was amazing and loved the chicken lollipops main course was a little dry but very good altogether. Loved the layout and look of the hotel and would definately stay her for a treat. The entertainment on Saturday was brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed the buble guy, great voice very powerful and sang all my favourites. He had a tough crowd as they were more interested in getting the disco started. The staff were brilliant especially the security woman think she was South African very attentive and could not help enough. Wonderful evening will be back.
K.
Busy, convenient, comfortable, clean
J. M.
Rooms are clean & well equipped, staff are friendly. You can download an app so that checking in etc can be done without telling to someone as your phone acts as a room key, but remember you need to have charge on your phone to get in at the end of a good night out lol
D. S.
Welll located Hotel with excellent conference facilities. Backed up by good coffee & snacks during the breaks and a great lunch. Popular venue so parking can become a bit limited.
M. N.
Rooms nice & clean, good bar, breakfast ok (ran out of bacon & scrambled eggs on 1st morning ), great position for nearby arenas.
S. M.
Nice hotel, good breakfast, but double beds. Really? Just because I'm married to her, doesn't mean I want know she is in the same bed as me during sleepy time. Super king size people, super king.
S. M.
Very comfortable. Nice modern room, good food. Great for company meetings and personal travel.
T. O.
I visited Village Hotel Glasgow to attend a business event in a conference room midweek in the evening. The hotel was very clean and stylish and the facilities were very good. Afterwards we went to the bar for a drink. I ordered a double gin and tonic (schweppes and tanquary, nothing special), and was charged £12.55! I said "ouch" when the barman and got a very rude "yeah well we are a four star hotel". Sorry but I've been to much nicer hotels for much nicer gin and tonics and charged half the price. The bar itself was a bit scruffy and the football playing on the huge TVs didn't seem very ""four star hotel"" to me. If you like paying lots of money for a mediocre drink in a below average bar then great for you.
M. M.
I attended the Jersey Boys tribute night tonight, after calling to check what time we had to be there I was told sitting for 7pm dinner served at 7.30. Diner did not start service until 8.30 and instead of the waiting staff taking different sides of the room, or being allocated certain tables to serve the food they all started on the one side and our table was the last of 12 tables to be served with every course, the food was lovely, but as two of us chose the vegetarian option we were very disappointed with 6 tiny pieces of pasta in tomato sauce which does not constitute a main course. It was 9.40 before we were served with our sweet, however, and I was left very hungry. Very loud dance music was played throughout the whole meal and we had to shout over it to have a conversation. Background music would have been much better. I have attended tribute nights in other establishments and they were far better organised than this one. The tribute act were superb, though not on stage for long enough.
C. K.
A warm welcome. Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast staff very cheery and helpful and a good selection for breakfast.
N. M.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, right from checking in on iPad's until the time it came to check out. Would 100% stay here again! Staff were very friendly and helpful to me and my wife. At the time we stayed here we had a 3 month old baby and they couldn't have done more to make sure our stay was as good as it could possibly be.
P. A.
Modern trendy hotel with a friendly vibe. Food in grill and resturant were both times really very good. Spa staff were lovely and treatments fab. All staff friendly and welcoming. Would return.
V. M.
Last year, breakfast had yogurt with berries, ham, cheese and, right now, whenever I've ask for those, the answer was the same: sorry, I'm afraid we don't have that.
The rooms are as nice as before, it's a good place.
R. M.
Definitely deserving of its 4 star rating, comfortable and feels safe while also looking good. Is a little expensive but worth it if you don't like the more uncomfortable feel of a lot of the more budget range hotels in Glasgow.
L. C.
Lovely hotel .staff are very helpful .meal in grill.bar gorgeous. Bedroom comfy and large definitely could recommend. Nice breakfast buffet style
M. J.
Super relaxed and friendly hotel right next to the BBC and across from the Sse hydro. Nice Starbucks and bar and I believe the gym is good albeit I didn't use it. Plenty of car parking and friendly staff.
T. A.
Nice hotel but parking was an initial problem. Would not eat in the bar expensive for what you get. Overall good for an overnight stay .
J. D.
Excellent base if you are travelling and site seeing. Very useful having a large carpark. Comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Lovely food, it is worth paying the extra for the buffet breakfasts as they really set you up for the day (did not have to spend much on lunches afterwards!!) I would highly recommend The Village as a warm, friendly and convenient place to stay. Well done.
J. H.
The view from our 4th floor room was lovely, not noisy and nicely decorated.
The bathroom was dirty (see photos), one of the glasses still had someone's lipstick and sticky handprint, I asked the housekeeper for new ones and she offered to clean them for me?! The bath had a non-stick coating in the bottom with every past visitors feet skin caught in it and there's black mould round the shower screen. As well as that my 6ft 2 husband couldn't stand under the shower. The cooked breakfast was poor, the bacon barely cooked and sausages grilled on one side only. I asked for poached eggs that were served on a side plate still swimming in vinegar water, at least they were cooked fresh, even if I had to dry them myself. The coffee is the cheapest of cheap and is a grey colour, just buy your own from the Starbucks before you go for breakfast!
E. G.
Great stay here recently. Staff really polite and helpful, checking in and out was a breeze and rooms were comfortable and very clean.
D. J.
Nice hotel, friendly staff. My only issue is the bedside shelves/tables. They're at an awkward height. I managed to bang my face off it in the middle of the night.
a. a.
Always go for village hotels it's really a five star but there is no punch bag ... yeah really rooms great staff friendly etc all good .. did I mention there is no punch bag . There is a great gym though just...
N. S.
Good staff and clean environment.
D. S.
Lunch menu was reasonable and service fairly quick and friendly. Food is good and there's a good range of drink. Friday night you can grab a £1 burger which is surprisingly good value.
S. F.
It's a fresh modern hotel but the exposed ceiling showing fire alarm cabling, electric cables, air con etc. It might be the in thin, but it just smacks of lazy architecture. Food and drink is excellent and the spa looks fab. Small pool for swimming and winding down. There's a Starbucks at the door too which takes contactless payment.
C. W.
Room was fine
Food was adequate at best
Paid for breakfast 3 morning but only had it once as it was poor
I. P.
I attend the Village Hotel regularly to use one of the studios for a Krav Maga class. Staff are always friendly and gorgeous and the facilities clean. They seem to offer a range of entertainment going by the posters, and the gym/fitness area is impressive.
P. J.
I like this hotel, it has good rooms and some of them have SKY. All the people there are nice. The access to the gym was a huge plus, they have a very good gym with pool and saunas. The bar is very nice but quite expensive.
M. F. (.
Was here for a conference and really liked the look of the place. Modern and clean with plenty of parking. The restaurant looked great however sadly didn't get a chance to stop in, did however manage to grab a coffee from the on site Costa 😃
P. C.
Great hotel with friendly staff. Gym facilities are good. As it is a relatively smaller room if there is a lot of people it may be difficult to set up your workout corner. If you're going for the gym and leaving soon I recommend taking snacks with you to avoid the overpriced Starbucks
C. W.
Stayed one night direct through hotels website cheaper than any other plus a 10 pounds credit for food or drinks allocated an accessible room didn't need it but was really well accommodated for many different disabilities for example a pad under pillow for hard of healing all support rails in shower area see photos etc.. Food and service was good evening meal and breakfast although be down before 9.30am
S. N.
Nice hotel with busy lounge and nice rooms. Not see keen on the computer check-in. I get that's Citizen M style and USP but in general I think hospitality should be a human facing role not a robot.
B. H.
Hi nice hotel room fine bar prices very steep 4.90p bottle bud 3.80p for glass coke shocking.
OTHERE wise All fine
R. A.
Clean tidy and comfortable room. Huge HD TV (was a little bit fiddly to use). Great food (I had one of the speciality burgers in the pub). Checking in and out was easy too.
S. M.
Modern hotel with amazing rooms and service. Stunning views of the river if your room faces the front. Breakfast was the best we've had in a while. Will definitely be back.
M. Y.
Fantastic hotel with a fantastic comfortable room. Breakfast and evening meals were extremely yummy.
Plenty of free parking and excellent wifi.
I will definitely be staying here again
L. M.
Lovely spa facilities. Food was good. Very expensive though. Beer and gnt was £13! I would recommend but maybe check hunt out a deal first.
S. S.
Price was good for location as had concert at the Hydro. 5 min walk. Breakfast was poor not much cooked options and constantly ran out. Room was ok bottom of bath a bit dirty. Same with carpets.
H. H.
Service really good, location half an hour walk from main shops. Room was quite cold and shower base was badly stained. Would come again and recommend to a friend.
C. A.
I deliver to the Starbucks located whitin the hotel. The hotel is always buzzing with people and is in a great location for going to the SSE Hydro or Science centre. I don't know about the rooms but the reception staff are friendly and likewise with the Starbucks lot too.
D. M.
Great location for SECC or Glasgow centre. Extremely well equipped gym and really good bar/restaurant with excellent food and drink options. Large free car park. Starbucks coffee inside too.
S. M.
Stayed overnight with wife and my son as attending event at sse hydro. Excellent distance from hydro and many other venues also only 20 to 30min walk to city centre. Hotel room spacious and beds very comfortable as always as not first stay. Only had small snacks this time as ate at event but food was good and had a great meal in restaurant stay before. Staff always friendly and informative when we needed a little information. Recomend hotel as weve always had a great stay and will use agaim when staying overnight in glasgow.
K. L.
Second trip to the Village Hotel, would go back again and again. Lovely rooms, friendly staff and great facilities in general. Location is great for attending any events, only a 5 minute walk to the SSE Hydro.
C. W.
Stylish, clean, comfortable. One of the best hotels I've stayed in. The staff were so lovely and helpful too
F. M.
Pretty hotel . Good food there is also vegan food. As you can see from the picture very clean rooms. There is also an air conditioner that is also an heater so you can have fresh airs or hot hairs. It's also lovely the nite and depends on which roo. You are you can get the view of the Glasgow science centre that is lovely in the nite to see.
K. W.
Not bad,gym and pool.resturant and bar.hotel above!good for gigs at the hydro,2 mins away.foods a bit pricey but hay ho!
O.
Amazing room and shower! Great customer service and great access to the city and facilities available at the hotel.
M. R.
Gym & pool are very good. Breakfast is below average, pretty disappointing. Room is basic but modern. Staff all very friendly & helpful
J. A.
Great stay. Beds are so comfy. Shutters on the windows keep out the sunlight. Staff very friendly and helpful and the hotel as a whole really cheap.
T. K.
Things can go wrong. It's how these wrong things are put right that make the difference. For my birthday my wife had us treated to two 80 min massages. Unfortunately when we arrived we were informed that they had tried to call us in the morning as two therapists had called in sick. Clearly upset (we had babysitters organised, taken a taxi in as we had lunch booked for later on in the day elsewhere) and stuck for a few hours, the kind staff organised a swimsuit for my wife to use the spa facilites (I had my swim wear) and still managed to supply us with two complimentry, but shorter, massges on the house with their reduced staff. Very impressed indeed.
a. t.
Handy when attending events at the SEC, food is inexpensive and of standard pub quality. Drinks are on the expensive side however if you are a member of the gym you receive a discount on food and drink. There is outside seating and live music on occasionally.
J. C.
Great massage at the spa! Nice lunch in the bar afterwards, though quite expensive. Would go again for an offer but wouldn't pay full prices.
G. R.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is new, so all facilities are in excellent condition. Food is of a good standard, with free parking (at the moment)
R. T.
Brilliant modern hotel with quiet rooms. Good price to boot near the airport with free parking if you have a hire car
J. R.
Excellent spa and swim facilities - lovely food and good entertainment all under the one roof. Hav'nt yet experienced an overnight stay, however delighted with everything on offer - highly recommend.
D. T.
Lovely hotel, reasonably priced, helpful staff, great service. Well placed and conveniently situated. This modern hotel is both comfortable and of a high standard.
N. E.
Drinks are a bit expensive, but the £1 burger on a Friday definitely made up for that. Nice atmosphere, although was quite busy in the bar area. Guess that's maybe normal for a Friday night.
I. A.
The upper deck room was small but very nicely furnished in a modern style. The food in the bar /restaurant was varied and to a high standard.
K. S.
Had a great pregnancy massage today was so relaxing. Just what i needed as i am 6 months pregnant. Place is so lovely and new and modern.
J. B.
They have reopening spot on I loved our stay here pity pool area was closed after it reopened but that's covid19 for you keep us distance and wear a mask
T. S.
Excellent hotel great bar atmosphere and friendly staff rooms are always very clean and beds are so comfy.
C. H.
Hotel very nice, however no one answers the phone though for room service, tried 3 times so gave up ! Rooms comfortable and clean so other than the room service issue very good.
J.
Brilliant spot for the secc and hydro only 2 mins walk away and a Nice easy 15 mins walk into the city centre also. Has its own Starbucks and sports bar on site with really tasty pub grub . All in all a brilliant weekend
A. B.
I go to the gym here, it's a nice pool, usually not too busy and has a nice sauna and steam Room. The staff are friendly
L. R.
Nice hotel, modern, but the tassimo coffee machine had a dirty water tank. Hotel cleaned out but if you didn't know you would have had mouldy water.
M. G.
Enjoyed our stay at Village hotel. Pool facilities are modern and clean. Breakfast was excellent and staff very helpful.
R. C.
Had a great stay - room clean and comfortable. Had a snack and drinks in bar which was nice. Great breakfast selection in the morning
T. C.
Venue itself was great, very spacious and easy to find. Food wasn't perfect but wasn't bad by any means. Accommodated any dietary requirements too which was nice.
J. C.
Freindly and welcoming hotel, accomodating people of all abilities. Spa, Bar and Restaurant. Well staffed and good food. Rooms very clean and tidy and modern finished en-suites. Will be back soon
A. w.
Went for spa day. Lovely surroundings and good treatments. Facial and back massage. Went for food in bar, not a great selection but food we had was good enough.
J. M.
Gym and pool are great, both really clean. Friendly staff. Carvery on a Sunday great value.
C. R.
Really enjoyex our stay. Nice room, comfortable bed and good shower. We would stay there again.
K. F.
Spa was ok. Pool very loud with awuafit class on. Took away from the relaxation. No slippers provided.
G. W.
Hotel only - A fairly basic build with little interesting design or layout features. Averagely appointed and service model feels cheap. Rooms basic, nothing in the way of frills.
Restaurant overpriced for what was fairly basic grub, not designed for the buffet breakfast.
Z. S.
1st time here on a seminar. Looks very good. Has gym and swimming pool. Conference room was spot on.
D. F.
WENT TO THE VILLAGE HOTEL IN NEWCASTLE FOR MY BIRTHDAY AND A FEW DAYS OFF RELAXING WITH THE SPA AND ALL THE FACILITY, BUT ON ARRIVAL WE FOUND OUT THAT IT HAD A FREE OPEN WEEK END TO ALL THE FACILITIES THAT WE HAD PAID FOR, SO WE CALLED THEM AND THEY WANTED OUR COMPLAINT AND INFO ABOUT OUR STAY, ETC /AND THEY GOT BACK TO ME WITH A APOLOGIES FOR THE WEEKEND, AND GAVE ME A CHOICE OF ANY OF THER VILLAGE HOTEL ACCOMMODATION AND THE USE OF THE SPA FACILITIES, SO I DID AND I WENT TO THE VILLAGE HOTEL IN GLASGOW FOR MY BIRTHDAY, THAT WAS THE YEAR BEFORE, AND I WAS SO RELAXED WITH MY STAY I'M BOOKED FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS THER AGAIN AND REALY LOOKING FORWARD BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR, TO MY STAY 😊//THIS WAS POSTED BY MISS A PRYDE,
G. F.
Attended a function night. Food was very average, bar prices reasonable. Toilets very clean, dance floor was too small for the number there.
A. D. D.
Village Hotel is a very nice hotel having stayed there in the past and have visited the Sunday carvery quite a few times which the food isfabulous its very clean and well run the swimming pool is also very good would stay and eat here a lot its a nice hotel and would recommend to my friends we ate there today at the carvery and again standard was very high staff are friendly and very polite
A. M.
The Village hotel is located within walking distance of many of the main attractions of Glasgow. It is a 5 minute walk to the Hydro & the SECC. Due to the popularity of the hotel parking can be scarce. The upper deck rooms are the ones to book
A. G.
I went to the Village Hotel complex to use the gym. Ive been member and have been for a year. It has everything i want and i am extremely impressed with the service. Everything is very clean and kept so.
P. s.
Great gym. Friendly staff. Used the brand lots travelling with work. A great dynamic between gym, bar, restaurant, bar and rooms
A. M.
The hotel was really good. Very good in all aspects and almost American in its design (that's certainly not a bad thing!) Would certainly stay again
C. H.
Great hotel, great facilities, its a shame that everything came at additional cost. Use of gym and pool was £5 extra per use.
M. A.
Hotel bar visit as there is nothing else around. Staff are friendly enough although they could do with spotting who is waiting at the bar. When sat at the bar you shouldn't have to stand up and join a queue to get service.
M. M.
Great weekend at Village Hotel for my Daughter's wedding. Venue is brilliant and Staff were great from Bar Manager to Rebecca that helped with all wedding arrangements. Thankyou all
C. S. C.

Nice rooms. Great gym and swimming pool. Breakfast ok, but not continental. A bit loud at the rooms first floor (parties at weekend)
P. C.
I stay away on business every week residing in many parts of the UK. I stayed here last week and Laura on reception demonstrated excellent first class customer service skills.
S. D.
Excellent hotel with great location and a Starbucks.
S. K.
Lovely room size, great staff and great bar on site. Scrambled eggs at breakfast are to be avoided but everything else is great.
C. M.
Great hotel with exceptional facilities. The service from Stuart in the bar and grill was 10/10. Highly recommend this hotel.
C. R.
Was in for lunch, new menu is good but it's nothing fancy, just burgers, pizzas and sandwiches. Good quality though and prompt service.
S. C.
Nice interior and food, but there were only wall sockets for one of the beds in our room, and I would have liked more closets
J. W.
Clean and tidy rooms with all the conveniences you need for business travel, a great gym and a quick check in process, very nice. Iron and hair dryer in the room as standard
C. M.
Stayed there for a gig at the hydro, good transport links buses just outside hotel that go to Glasgow Central, hydro just a 3 min walk across the road and over a walking bridge, nice modern hotel shower, kettle, big tv in rooms, iron ironing board, room service (extra charge), modern gym and spa swimming pool, Costa coffee on inside hotel, hotel rooms theme nights so always check, close to rangers fc football ground 15 mins walk,
S. A.
A really nice hotel, great cleanliness and room setup, good showers, good beds, friendly staff, what more can you ask for?
M. A.
A trendy hotel with a decent proximity to the SEC Glasgow venue. The standard is decent enough, though cleanliness (particularly the shower) and room lighting could be better.
K. G.
Lots of parking....easy to find...very simple check-in. Nice room, clean, pleasant staff who are happy to help.
Great place👍
K. D.
I came for lunch and was very pleased with the quick service. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was to a good standard and met expectations.
P. S.
Staff were amazing & lovely hotel. Only critique the lighting in rooms not great for ladies putting on their make up
B. D.
Nice burger and beer but slow service: problems in the kitchen. It was a Friday evening and it was busy. Staff were friendly and they did sort it out.
j. h.
Lovely hotel Staff brilliant fully fitted gym, swimming pool and sauna and jacuzzi 😊
I. D.
Attended staff Christmas party in this hotel, the atmosphere and music was great, food lovely, the only downside was drinks - so so expensive, think it was like £4.50 for shot of vodka which is ridiculous.
S. M.
Good friendly hotel. Staff always go the extra mile to help you. Service can be a bit slow but was extremely busy the day I was in.
J. R.
Rooms High Standard Great location Great Restaurant’s plus gym swimming pool sauna Starbucks 😊 and a pub were all the sky sports games are on plus a restaurant Best Hotel this side of Glasgow

Modern hotel with a nice buzz about it. Modern well decorated rooms. Felt it lacked a bit of the personal touch to bump it up to a five star review.
M. S.
Had a great stay at the village Glasgow after seeing kevin bridges. Bar facilities excellent. Gym and pool were the best ive used in glasgow.
L. M.
Lovely hotel featuring all the amenities you could possibly want. Knocked off a start due to having to pay £5 to make use of the pool.
L. R. G.
Great looking hotel. Sleek and very modern. I haven't stayed, just had a coffee in their Starbucks.
L. H.
Funky new hotel, very clean, wonderful shower, huge TV in room, very quiet sleep at night and delicious breakfast in the morning. Very friendly staff
J. S.
Like this hotel. Handy for city centre and plenty parking. Nice walk along Riverside and plenty to do in walking distance. Will return.
J. F.
Our stay was excellent, comfortable rooms and great service from staff. Only recommendation would be that there is 2 proper pillows for each person in the room.
A. M.
The Village Hotel has a very nice environment, however the price of alcohol is very expensive considering the location of the hotel it is not the Merchant city, when you are charged £4.20 for a Souther Comfort without a mixer you know this is an expensive place, I have stayed in a few Village hotels and they usually have promotions on when sporting events are on bit sadley the Glasgow Village Hotel does not.
G. L.
Very nice, very clean, would definitely stay there again if prompted. Good location within 10min walk into heart of the city
c. b.
Stayed here for one night. Nice clean hotel. Big rooms. Great breakfast to start the day.

S. A.
Located close to shops and takeaway restaurants, staff very helpful and made me feel very welcome, absolutely thinking about visiting this establishment again, swimming pool is a nice feature but has no deep end which disappointed me a little, steam room and sauna were top quality, and the gym is a very good addition to the hotel nice and clean spacious, very well organised.
A. M. S.
Really excellent Sunday roast I thought, and seemed pretty decent value for a 4 course carvery lunch (soup, starter, main, dessert) to me :)
L. D.

Pretty average selection at the bar
J. L.
Friendly staff. Nice look and feel for a branded hotel. Expensive food in the restaurant. Sometimes down service.

The Village Hotel has a really nice vibe about it and is a great place to conduct business meetings but beware, it has the most expensive Starbucks on the planet.

S. G.
Went for dinner only. Service was good although server was confused as to what drinks were available. Food was very expensive for what was provided. There wasn't anything wrong with it but for a premium price point you should get premium food.
A. G.
Told them it was my birthday and they said they'd arrange something but they didn't, gave a lot of wrong information, food was rubbish, didn't put through the late check out I paid extra for and we got stuck out of the room
R. S.
As always with the Village hotels, great service and rooms for a great price. Waiting staff in the restaurant were nice.
R. S.
