I stayed here last weekend. The room was comfortable but I just didn’t feel relaxed.
My stay was ruined few minutes after I checked in.
I checked in, then I went up to my room. About 3-5minutes later, the same lady who checked me in knocked on my door and said she just wanted to check if anyone is in the room.
I just don’t understand why when she only just checked me in minutes earlier.
I just feel like all through out my stay that somebody will knock on my door anytime or they want to try to come in.
I travel to Leicester to work in a hospital on the weekends so after a day of work I would have liked to relax. But it was just ruined.
I don’t think I will be back.
The breakfast was nice.

Lovely hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. Got a great deal for a family of 4, with a lovely breakfast included and free parking. Hotel right outside Leicester football club. Staff were very polite and helpful. 😊

This is the best holiday inn express I have been too. The staff are so friendly and offer excellent service. …

It's ok, the rooms are clean and in reasonable condition but the lack of anywhere to get an evening meal every day without a 10 minute walk is disappointing. There is somewhere close by but it is only open sometimes. The breakfast in the hotel is really not up to much of a standard. Something that sort of looks like bacon, the scrambled (eggs I think) is a pale mess and the sausages more or less pass as such. I'm not even sure if it's coffee from the machines. It could be so much better. On a plus the staff are all friendly.

Staff brilliant, nothing too much for them , pity there was some odd people staying. Not right as I am paying and they get it free. Get a effing job . Back to hotel would recommend staying.

Staff were warm & welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel was clean & the location was ideal next to the King Power Stadium. Everything was not too far away. The best thing about it was the bed l slept like a baby. This hotel was not like anything we usually stay at but the staff & sleep made it all worthwhile.

Staff were friendly and very professional on arrival. Room clean and breakfast for the 2 mornings was great. Bar closed early on one night and was blocked off which was surprising and the pipes in the building were making a constant banging noise in the early hours which affected my sleep for 2 mornings.
S.
Great hotel and location right next to football stadium, friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, nice and quiet.
Slight smell of drains in bathroom but overall clean. Would be nice to have more …

Nice place to stop. Comfy beds. Only had 2 issues 1 the room was really cold and with the heating on full didn't get warm and 2 shared a twin room no where near enough tea and coffee or milk. Shame really would have been 5 stars.

Ideally placed for football fanatics. Rooms adequate although the pillows were far too hard for my likes. Breakfast was a scrum. Hot food ran out and not topped up very quickly. Same for cutlery and large plates. Needs more attention. Otherwise staff v pleasant and helpful.

We stayed last weekend, beds were comfortable, no remote control as previous guests had stolen. Breakfast was awful - served on side plates, long periods without certain hot foods so hard to piece together a meal and no ketchup!! The 2 …

I've stayed in many IHG hotels down the years but this is the worst that I've stayed in. Staff were friendly and courteous but the hotel condition was very poor with threadbare carpets and wallpaper peeling off. The shower rail fell off the …

Great staffs especially at reception who try to go above & beyond to ensure the customer requirements are met. Parking is not as big and due to location the hotel can be very busy at times. Would recommend for the stay.
C.
I stay here regularly it’s a fantastic location and staff are friendly and helpful. Only down sides are the limited breakfast choices which you get in any express and the air conditioning is not very good. Everything else though is great so alway have a comfortable stay
J. K.
Correct stay breakfast ok hotel staff wonderful cleaning ladies lovely
reception staff approx
but one critical remark about a blonde (Polish girl, I think) had on the pouch, "Marta ??? ,, I'm not sure, She is very unkind, rude, especially to the cleaning staff who she thinks she is, to the Queen her far away, housekipping did everything to make this hotel function normally
K. M.
The room was clean, bed comfortable. Air conditioning could not be set below 19, room was quite warm. No hand sanitizer anywhere in the building apart from reception. Otherwise worth stay in and good view of King Power Stadium

One of the worst IHG hotels I've ever stayed in. Faultless customer service but hotel needs refurbishing. It has threadbare carpets, wallpaper peeling off walls, no restaurant service apart from breakfast which was less than inspirational. Room was comfy albeit very hot and aircon very noisy. Bathroom shower rail fell off the wall at 1st touch! Excellent Wi-Fi though.

Hotel very clean with fresh towels. Visited here on one of the hottest weekends of the year and the hotel does not have sufficient air con. Rooms very hot and humid. Also booked to have evening meal and breakfast but they dont have a restaurant on sight so menu was very limited to two choices at dinner. We ended up having to order out for our son.

Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly. Only negative was coffee machine not working and breakfast was only just warm.
P.
Pretty drab hotel. All carpets are worn through and looking tired. Vending machines empty. Rooms pretty miserable. You have to use a tiny depressing ironing room instead of an ironing board in the room, the ironing board covers were worn right through and stained. Overall bad experience, staff were nice though!
N. H.
Nice room and easy to find. Friendly night staff who helped us. Breakfast was a let down tough as we were served raw vegan sausages which were not cooked. Eggs smelled rotten. Apple Juice was just water. Sorry to say but really let down by the breakfast service.
S.
The location of the hotel is perfect! The majority of the hotel was also fine. However the rooms were ridiculously hot, even with the air con on. I stayed for two nights and both nights hardly slept due to the heat. My room also wasn’t …

Chef and reception staff were amazing!
Large group booked in for training with work- shift patterns were changed last minute but the hotel staff were able to accommodate and provide meals out of hours at short notice.

We had a good stay here. Good, comfortable hotel. However, the air con did not seem to work. …

Average hotel, in a wasteland kind of area. Nothing to write about as such. Parking was secure, breakfast was low quality, you have a pretty ok sports bar next door for evening meals.
20 minutes walk from city centre, go through university then head through the old gates to the city. Overall stay was ok.
A.
Hotel is in a great location . But it is tired and in need of a facelift .
The fixtures and fittings in my room were all wobbly , loose and didn’t feel safe at all . Compared to other locations it is a little more pricey . Good points …

Free parking a bonus. Breakfast spread was ok. Bathroom was relatively clean. Next to the stadium for visiting. Will stay again.

Both mornings we had to use small tea plates for our cooked breakfast as there were no larger ones, I asked but was told that’s all there was, I began to wonder if it was to prevent you eating too much?! One morning we had to share the last …

Good stay - location is excellent. Free parking. Breakfast was good. Staff are fantastic in particular Jerry. Had great conversations with the staff. Be aware that when you book a room and pick either twin or double, it is not guaranteed. I …

The hotel is convenient for Leicester City Centre and the Universities. Close to the Leicester City football ground for those interested in the beautiful game. There is a functional and pleasant feel to the hotel and the breakfast was enjoyable
h.
The room was pleasant and clean. It's hard to do a buffet breakfast with Covid restrictions but the staff did their best. Breakfast would have been a smoother process if there had been more staff available. Not all choices were available.
C.
I was here for 3 nights for work purposes. The staff went above and beyond for me. Highly recommended. Would have liked a little more option on the breakfast but as this was just after restrictions lifted again I put it down to that. I …

Overall, very good stay. The staff were very friendly, especially, Natasha at the Front desk.
The only problem was A/C was not working in the bedroom and it had been reported …

Great stay! The staff are amazing (especially the night time staff) Rob, Shahzad and Tom really did help make our stay perfect. Great location and comfortable rooms
A. S.
Our stay was ok, right off the bat the staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. The first floor corridor smelt quite bad - not pleasent and needs to be fixed. Room was clean but warm! Not the hotel's fault but down to the heat wave but the 'air con' was very loud and didn't do anything to cool the room down. Breakfast was tasty but as it's assisted service for the hot food the guy Manning it disappeared a few times long enough for me not to bother with the hot food. Location is good for the stadium, could not be closer, free parking was a bonus and some food places walking distance away. City center to far to walk. Overall very good value for the price and issues mentioned would not put me off staying again
K.
Ok in general. No help to charge foreignt phones, and my room was not cleaned when I arrived… i was offered a free beverage as an apology… I feel thats kind of cheap really.
D.
This hotel is great if you are going to the King Power stadium. Breakfast needs more attention to detail and not allowing football fans to park in the hotel car park
V. G.
It is an okay hotel in terms of rooms etc. It has a big plus due to it’s location and the fact that the breakfast is included. Breakfast is reasonable as well.
X.
Greta hotel to stay at idf you are in town for the football 50 meters from the Foxes shop. Staff very helpful, great breakfast choices, The sports bar next door is a must visit try the RIBS.
S.
It was a great hotel but as we don’t drive it was a bit further from the town centre than we anticipated. Also the drinks at the bar were very expensive. But it was comfortable, clean, spacious and the staff were friendly and approachable.
B.
Had a very relaxing stay at the hotel. Staff were very polite and helpful. Room was comfortable as was the bed. …

Came to Leicester to visit my children. The staff at the hotel made the boys have the best time. As Leicester fans they made sure we had a room facing the ground. …

Good location and plenty of parking which is free. The hotel is very nice, simple and clean, but good size rooms and clean facilities. The team there are great, very polite and extremely helpful, stayed a few days and always had a pleasant chat both with day and night teams. Highly recommend, good value for money and a decent location.

From the minute we drove into the car park to the minute we left, we felt safe from the pandemic. There were signs all around the hotel relating to social distancing, hand sanitiser was available, lifts were signed for single occupancy …

Cleanliness is important at this time. My room 522 was a good size and comfortable during the night for the most part, but come morning, I noticed the walls had muck all over it, the window was filthy and the carpet was littered with …

Very convenient hotel for Leicester City FC, up to usual Holiday Inn standards. Good breakfast too!
J.
I arranged an event at the hotel for one of my clients. Everything went ran like clockwork. The staff couldnt do enough for us. The food was great and the service was fantastic, the couldnt do anything more for us. The bedrooms were very clean and everything you expect from a hotel.
G.
Clean fresh rooms and bathrooms. Excellent staff 20 minutes walk to city centre plenty of parking
H.
Only criticisms from me would be the vegetarian breakfast which was out and room could do with a bigger TV screen. Other than that it was lovely.
V. P.
Lockdown had its consequences. Two years ago it was great. Now they don't even care about social distancing. Worst breakfast in a holiday Inn ever. Burnt bacon both days, everything in shortage stuff running like crazy doing all. No eggs! You wait in queues to get horrible Scrabble eggs and then everyone has touched bread and everything else before you. Rooms start to look like they need upgrading.
The WiFi was really good even in the room. Nice spot near Leicester and the stadium, and easy parking, but...

On arrival the hotel staff fully explained the situation regarding covid and what is in place.
No evening meal but told I could order a takeaway through them. Room clean and …

The staff I interacted with were lovely and welcoming. They spent time talking to us and were willing to answer any inquiries we had. The hotel room was clean and the perfect place to lay your head for the weekend.
C.
Lovely hotel, plenty of eating options in the local area, used the hotel as a stop of from a long weekend of camping and car show,
Just wished we would of had a bath in the room, after a long weekend camping, I was ready for a soak
G. N.
When we arrived, the duty Manager went over and above to make my family welcome, rom with a view and my 7 year old was acknowledged and treated like a valued guest. Keep up the good work folks.
A.
Almost perfect, like I mentioned in the title the shower room smell urine, so I need to rinse it with shower gel. Then a bubble underneath the bed side table. I hope they keep on eye or check it properly to make sure shower room is clean etc. Hope when we come back there is already improvement.
U. E. P.
Actual view of the room!! View superb if you are a football fan.
Room outdated, no socket next to the bed. No aircon, windows can’t be opened much.
Nice breakfast and walkable distance to Morrison’s, Nando’s, bingo hall etc.

Lovely staff all round, fresh abc clean.
Great restaurant right next door and the manager Glen was very accommodating and …
F.
Use the hotel mainly for midweek stays. Always receive a friendly welcome and have a comfortable stay. Convenient for the football as well.
A. H.
Great price and breakfast was great. Only improvement would be to have EV chargers installed. At the moment there arent many places to charge in Leicester.
P.
As expected from HI Express.
Great location with view of the stadium. Plenty of easy free parking.
d.
The staff were friendly and very accommodating, I am gluten free and they said they had bread and cereal which was really nice.
J.
I stop out each week for work, indeed all over the Country.
I can honestly say that I along with the rest of my staff rate the staff and the Hotel as the best in the Country. …

This is the third time we have stayed at this particular hotel and the first time we did not a stadium view which was a disappointment. Fully appreciate that not all rooms do but could there be a way to make a request for this, would not …
S.
Great Price and comfortable hotel. Customer Care was fantastic and very attentive.
Will definitely book again for my trips to Leicester.
D.
Friendly staff and welcoming. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious with comfortable pillows. I had a good night sleep.
K.
Friendly staff, a clean and comfortable room and a typical chain hotel breakfast were similar to several hotels we've stayed in but there were a few things that we particularly liked. The bathroom was well designed and the lighting a little …

Booked this hotel due to price, free parking and location to De Montfort University, for my daughters uni interview. If you’re a football fan, you might like to know the hotel is literally next door to the Stadium! I’m not, but I was still …

Our stay on the whole was excellent. Room super and clean. Bed comfortable. Reception staff helpful and friendly. The restaurant next door served delicious food and had excellent staff. Breakfast was delicious. …

This is a lovely hotel to stay in. It's quiet and the staff are very good.
The breakfast on our stay was poor due to the covid restrictions, but I would in no way hold that against the hotel as I know there usual breakfast is lovely. …
A.
Everything went well, I enjoyed my stay, thank you. A bit more variety for breakfast (it was the same for all 3 days) could make it a great experience, but the hotel had hot and cold breakfast options.
L.
Great stay, right next door to Stadium,.
Friendly team.
Average breakfast food.
K. K.
Reasonable place. The heater in the room was broken but was replaced, but that one didn't work perfectly either. Oh and every 30 minutes a low noise like a ship's horn would sound. We think it was the heating systems that are built in. Dunno
Beds were super comfy
l.
Good clean hotel with basics provided for.
Breakfast was decent too.
K. M.
Nothing to write home about - does exactly what it needed to.. Useful. Functional. Cost effective . Could have better planning with the service, knowing we had a big group coming and eating.
S.
This hotel was a bit further out of town than we thought, although a great location for the football ground. Room was clean but air con was a bit hit
S.
The room temp was set at 28 degrees - so took a while to cool down after adjusting the room thermostat.
