Reviews of Ramada Encore by Wyndham Leicester City Centre
Clean tidy rooms, freezing but once we turned heating on room warmed up reasonably quickly. Shower soap dryed out my skin which is unusual for me so use sparingly! Breakfast very good, good selection, good produce. Included in price good value for city centre. Overnight parking in ncp carpark over the road, validate and pay in hotel it's a better price we did and paid £15.00.
This place helped out with a commercial booking and saved the day at short notice. Very reasonable and accommodating, friendly and a nice conference room. Big thanks to the the team
Clean and comfortable room with plenty of space. Staff are all very friendly and professional. Breakfast was very nice. Bar area is lovely and the drinks are reasonably priced as well. Would definitely stay again.
Great hotel! I've stayed here numerous times and have never been disappointed in service, and breakfast is always good! Highly recommend for a quick short break!
I only spent one night with my wife there but I have to say that it was very nice. Situated in the heart of the city centre and local to most shops. I found it an enjoyable experience and one I would recommend to my family and friends. It is only a 3star hotel but the rooms professionism of the staff and the bistro feels more like a 4 star. It was a very warm and friendly environment. It actually costs less to stay in here than the Premier Inn which I found shocking. Great value for money.
Spent 1 night here for the Leicester Fake Festival. Reception staff were very polite and informative. We were able to get our room early, 11am which was a bonus. Room was very clean with a comfortable double bed. Tea and coffee making facilities and an iron/board were available in the room. A/C also available. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Also, a great selection of food for the breakfast.
Good, well priced and central hotel. Decent if quite basic rooms, nice enough breakfast and a very positive and friendly welcome from the staff. Nice hotel bar too.
Great location, really close to everything that Leicester has to offer.
Liked the bar area downstairs with a small amount of space to sit outside which was perfect for watching the world go by.
Entrance to the lifts is by key card, for added security.
Our room was really nice, a large window made it light and bright.
The bed was extremely comfy and loved the pillows
We were on the 4th floor and it was very quiet, so slept well.
Parking was at an ncp car park approx 5 mins walk away
Great location would stay here again
Ramada Encore by Wyndham is a lovely relaxing hotel. Clean! Staff were very approachable and welcoming. Also breakfast was delicious. The location is fantastic all in the way of shops and restaurants. I'll diffenatly go back again.🙂👍🏾
Late review but the BEST ! Fabulous hotel ❤ the most friendliest staff EVER Kerry your amazing including
the other amazing receptionists and the bar staff at night where amazing attention to detail and night requests were honoured with a smile 😊 most friendliest. As for the wedding party you were out most of the day and arrived very late because we seen you and the night staff were mist helpful to you !!
😚
The location of the hotel is very nice. The employees are very friendly. However, there is no carpet in the rooms. This is so interesting. The rooms are clean. Breakfast is nice.
Fantastic hotel! All staff we spoke with were very helpful and friendly, food was delicious and the room was lovely, clean and has everything you need. Location is great as based in the town centre so lots of shops and places to eat everywhere, all within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent location. Friendly and very helpful staff. Perfect option for a city centre hotel with good amenities.
Nice rooms with plenty of space. The food, particularly breakfast, was very very good and is not worth missing. The main stair case was new and original. It was situated in a good area, with a shop directly opposite. The only draw back was that the noise of the city life at night was very loud and made it hard to go to sleep
Hotel is in a good city centre location. Parking is close by thought tricky to find. Our room was good but in the middle of renovation so the bathroom had one rough wall (room 301). Staff member was a little slow to attend at start, looking at mobile phone. Generally though a good hotel at a reasonable price.
Basic, but clean hotel. No storage in rooms for clothes etc, but for an overnight stay it is fine. Staff were very good and obliging. I would use it again for overnight stays.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Rooms were clean and adequate. Breakfast was hot, plentiful and of a high quality. We did not use the restaurant for the evening as we were visiting family. 2min walk to the Clock Tower.
The biggest problem we found was parking, the hotel has limited onsite parking which is £25 Per day. Best to park in the NCP carpark across the road and you get a discount from the hotel.
No t.v in first room, was moved rooms without hesitation. Was very clean, and well presented, however the 7th floor was extremely cold, noisy and suffered from very annoying wind rattling the vent during the night. Gym was small but had enough for a nice workout, breakfast was a disaster however. We understood it would be table service, due to covid etc, but food was cold first, warmish 2nd time round, the staff member serving us had quite bad poor hygiene and wasn't pleasant at all.
I would think about staying again, if the breakfast was promised to be hot at least. Nice location, good value for money.
Not the best breakfast I ever had, but great bed, great shower and airco, very friendly and helpful staff. Small rooms but have all the basics. I was alone and I think with two people it's a challenge to stay more than 2 nights I recon
Book here once a year for our annual reunion.
Usually everything is always 5 star but unfortunately this year it will have to be 3.
We ordered food from the diner and it came put cold. We did complain and the manager was really apologetic and said that she would ensure that we wouldn't have to pay for any of the food.
She probably forget to tell the morning manager as she was quite stressed as a number of her staff didnt turn up so the bill was still there.
But saying all that we will probably still come back next year as it is always clean and staff are always friendly and helpful.
Excellent. A really first class hotel in a city-centre location. Clean, light, well looked after, a good restaurant open until 10 PM, excellent buffet breakfast and the staff were exceptional - Can't speak highly enough of them. They also knew how to make a decent pot of tea using tea-leaves. Congratulations!
This hotel is ideally centrally located in a clean area, a pretty decent place. The beds were fairly comfortable, close to city centre and the local amenities.
No car parking and one of the staff was a little bit rude other than that everything else was ok.
Nice hotel for a weekend stay. Location is great. Shame no on site parking but the ncp is literally a stone's throw away. And you get a discounted rate.
Lovely rooms. Had the twin room with 2 single beds.
Only 2 things that stop this being a 5 star review. The beds were way too soft! Felt like I was sleeping on jelly and the noise outside can be quite loud inside. Even though we were on the 6th floor (1 below the top) and the window was closed.
Breakfast was really good with all branded items. Only thing that let it down was the cranberry juice. Tasted more like cranberry cordial and was really watery.
Great hotel for access to city . Great for walking to Curve theatre. Staff where great but not enough staff .
Was attending a 2 day trade show. - Didn't dine at the Hotel - But the staff were helpfull and attended to us on our return to the hotel and served us after midnight to the early morning..
nice clean rooms. great staff very helpful. it has a gym witch is open from from 6am so very good for people who want to keep in shape, whilst on a buisness trip. very close to the town centre and has a great atmosphere. sadly the food is bad. like really bad. I orderd almost everything on the menu during my stay. and most of the food is frozen and microwaved and is obvious it is the taste. If you are staying here then do yourself a favour and eat out.
Great location, absolutely polite staff and looked after us well
The pullout bed was not fit for the 3rd person, however when I raised this issue with the reception staff she took care of it and sorted it out and despite paying a few bucks more it was well worth it and great sleeping.
Comfortable room, walking shower in bathroom. Meals a bit on the pricey side. Can have noisy guests!
Made a last minute booking. Staff very friendly on arrival. Nice clean rooms and hotel felt safe. Excellent.
Couple stayed here one night and the location was great for good food and drink nearby. All the workers were kind and welcoming. The walls were pretty thin which is the only detail I didn’t enjoy
Good hotel and services, slow service on arrival due to being busy and low on staff. Good buffet breakfast. Comfy beds and good sized bathroom. Noise from the city centre wasn't blocked out by the Windows, so slightly louder night than expected. Expensive hotel bar, but always expected in the city centre.
Nice room, comfy bed, friendly staff, what more could you wish for?
Bed was a bit lumpy, and room had a strange odour to it. Was quite noisy til late. It was clean and breakfast was good.
Nice hotel woth good price for the quality.
Rooms could use some renovation but I found my room well cleaned and overall pleasant
Good value for money.
Staff were friendly, the beds were comfortable, the location is good.
There was some street noise audible from the room and light creeping in round the curtains but overall I was happy with our stay.
If driving put the NCP carpark in your sat nav instead of the hotel and don't forget to get validate your parking ticket a reception, will save you about £14 for a days parking
Quite basic considering the price, bed was very comfy and shower good. Advertised as having parking, but they just validate at the NCP which still costs £15 for overnight
Stayed on a hen party, the room was lovely and clean. The beds were super comfy, my friend wanted to take it home. Breakfast was very tasty.
The receptionists are very kind. There are quite a few facilities in the room, but there are no slippers. The location is nice.
Great location, smart clean rooms and friendly and professional staff. Modern decor with great facilities .
Parking is discounted at halford street multi storey car park which is very close by . Just ask at reception to get your ticket validated . Breakfast is of very high quality and an extensive range of options, catering for all tastes .
Very enjoyable stay , I would highly recommend staying here .
Clean room but, no safe or fridge. Check out time is 11am and they charge £20 to extend! Breakfast was good and staff were friendly.
Clean, Well located, excellent service, nice straightforward breakfast. In my opinion all you could ask for a hotel. Will always stay here when In Leicester I give it a 10 out of 10. Very well managed accommodation!
Overall, it was a good experience. The food was fantastic. Rooms were just what you wanted on a couples night out. The location was right next door to where we were visiting.
Location is good for all things Leicester. Hotel and room was very clean but lacking in maintenance our room was suffering with loose floor tiles in bathroom and dresser unit is ready to fall apart. No evening meal facilities when we stayed and drinks prices seemed excessive in my opinion!
I have mobility difficulties. From the moment I arrived every member of staff offered help, courtesy and kindness at all times. Exceptional.
Careful leaving your car in the NCP car park advised, our car was broken into during our stay.
Hotel was clean, staff welcoming and approachable, family friendly.
They were fully booked upon arrival on an extra late Tuesday night from London.
Luke was most humble and offered to call around other hotels which was most gracious of him. He went above and beyond and made calls for a rough duration of thirty minutes and never gave up once until he got myself a room for the night. Absolutely remarkable.
Friendly staff and clean room, comfortable bed, be careful of the Rutland NCP car park lifts one had a man sleeping in the lift and the other lift there was liquid on the floor that i didn't even want to guess as to what it was.
The breakfast was nice with staff willing to help you if needed. I just wish i was able to park in the hotel car park as i had a lot of stuff to carry and i get joint pains. i also got stuck in a oneway system and didn't know how to get to the hotel car park. Looking back i should of tried to call the hotel for directions to their car park. Besides that i managed to get a good nights sleep. For me the room was comfortable and quiet. The only suggestion i would make is when checking in that the staff advises what time breakfast is and the check out time. I would stay there again as the hotel itself is really lovely.
Nice, comfy room. Service good as ever. Stayed a number of times now, usually a reliable place tool stay. Great location a few minutes walk from town centre so plenty of choice for evening meals etc. Parking over the road is plentiful but charged at £10 overnight, which is discounted by the hotel.
Hotel was great staff was great , there is no parking and you have to park in a NCP parking place which casts an arm and a leg which made my stay a lot more expensive. If you want to stay here make sure you are loaded if not and you are on a tight budget go somewhere else with parking. I paid £71 for my room thinking it was the cheapest add £11 for parking and it's not so cheap anymore.
Lovely stay at this hotel. Very pleasant helpful staff.
Good location in city centre, great for shopping
Perfectly functional town centre hotel. Nothing special or stand out about it. Staff not particularly engaging or energetic. Directions to their car park are next to useless. Bar prices pretty high. Breakfast very good.
Great hotel perfect for what we needed great beds and shower high quality service would stay there again …. Parking was expensive across the road but city hotels are like that…. Restaurants and bars out front of hotel would recommend it to anyone looking to stay In Leicester staff wer always very helpful and went out there way to help
I love6it. It was an wonderful night. Tidy and nice bedroom with an top double bed. Very nice breakfast. And the staff very helpful and always ready to help. If there is any hotel to choose.. this is the one. Will definitely come back.
Clean, big rooms. Have had better food in other hotels but not bad. All of the staff though, are brilliant, very helpful and very kind.
Overall best customer service by Sahil, nice hot drinks place for weekend i am coming here for drinks from 2018 would reccomend everyone to give a try.....and also the place has good ambience located in city centre.
Stayed for one week on business from the 29th September 2019. Conveniently located for business. Obtaining information prior to stay not to convenient e.g. parking information. Despite several phone calls to their number (which disconnects after 2-3 rings) and being transferred to an international number, I was no more wiser. For this particular hotel it doesn't have onsite parking, it utilises the NCP adjacent to the hotel at a discounted rate of £11 per 24hrs. The member of staff who checked me in was not very welcoming, however remaining staff were very attentive and welcoming (despite stealing my marmite at breakfast one morning!!) Overall the stay was pleasant. The room was clean and refreshed everyday. I would stay again only on business if there were no alternative available.
*Update*
Apparently they asked me how my stay was when I checked out, no they did not! So now I'm lying?
And the manager did not come out to me or the other guys who experienced racial comments from another guest. This is even on camera. I spoke to two other employees and they told me the manager was in the back. I understand and appreciate they spoke to the guest however would have been nice to reassure us and speak to the manager. One of the staff (he knows who he is) kept coming to my room to talk to me it's on camera. Yet they be unfair to other staff and indirectly tell them they are no longer needed to work there, as they favouritise other employees. What an example the manager is setting ey??
Bull****
First time staying at Ramada in Leicester for work. Clean and spacious rooms, very comfortable. Clean bathroom. The only concern I have is that when I made a complaint about a guest who was being rude towards me (along with other guests who made complaints about his racist comments), nothing was mentioned to us, no apologies whatsoever. Even though the Manager was sitting in the back. Could have come out and discussed the matter but nope. Unprofessional. Let's hope Rikesh the can make people see sense.
Yuvraj Rikesh and Ann-Marie were very helpful and bubbly.
It would have been nice if the staff who were on shift this morning asked how my stay was when I checked out. I've stayed at other hotels which include breakfast. These charges £10 and there's no parking
Exceptional service provided by Sahil and Antra. They made my friend's stay enjoyable, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The entire team showed outstanding hospitality, making us feel truly valued and cared for. Super grateful for their efforts.
Good city centre hotel, all modern rooms and reasonably priced. Staff more attentive and friendly than in a lot of hotels. Organised a cot for our little one in less thab 5mins. Would not hesitate to recommend. Also, staff happy to serve you a beer at 0130 when a lot of hotels wouldn't bother or would find any excuse not to!
Really nice hotel never stayed in an Encore before. Room was large & clean. Even had a mirror with a plug by it! Only negative for me was my room backed on to the cultureral quarter & it was Freshers week so very noisy at 3:30 am! Would stay again & hope that the students have spent all of their money.Great central location. There is a Prets & a Tesco just down the road.
Convenient location. Great service. Rooms ok
Lovely room and the guy on reception was really friendly and helpful, and had a good sense of humour. Dinner was amazing! Really really good. Bud light on tap, what more could you want?!
Popped in today because my mate was having a meeting in the lounge area on the ground floor. She saw me passing by through the window. I didn't use any of the facilities in the hotel, so I can't really review the place as such, but it was lovely to see my mate, so I'm going to give the place an "I like it!" rating. That's how this thing works, yeah?
Wait, I also really like the big spiral staircase. I have never used it, but I can see it from my desk in the building opposite. So that's two reasons to give it a thumbs up 👍🏻
Very good location .. nice service and really nice lobby . My favourite place to stay in city centre. Only 5 min walk to shopping centre and many restaurants. NCP Car park is just 1 min away .
Decor a bit tired, but bed comfortable. Breakfast OK. Reception staff OK but not particularly happy in their work. Breakfast staff friendly and helpful.
Great location if you're going to the curve theatre and not too pricey for a city centre. Rooms just above basic but comfy beds
I found the hotel location ideal, a couple of minutes walk to the town centre and shopping centres, also a 10 mins walk to train station.
the rooms were clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The only complaint I would have would be the prices of food and limited options but the food itself was excellent.
Very uncomfortable two nights. Bed was awful, sooo soft that my wife and I rolled into the middle of the bed. Parking is so much cheaper and more secure elsewhere. Only gave 3 stars because the breakfast was great.
Have stayed at this hotel several times and never disappointed. Extremely friendly staff and always happy to help. Good selection of Breakfast and Dinner choices and Wi-Fi is decent. Hotel is surrounded by plenty of places to eat.
Nice modern hotel, nice clean rooms, simple decor but cosy. The reception staff very friendly and efficient and if you park in the ncp car park opposite you get a 50% off the standard rate. Would recommend to others 👍👍
not too bad but not great either... shower just floods the whole bathroom as it's all one level and no separation. really dissapointed that the bar didn't show the football... this just should be a given in all bars and hotels now. stop being tight and get sky and BT sport football is our national pass time. won't stay here again simply for that reason
Not amazing but not an outright no either as you might like it. Beds were too soft for my liking and the food isn't amazing however for a quick fix it did the job. Gym was good looks like a recent refurb and dumbbells go up to 20's
Lovely hotel other than Staff talking at reception instead of serving and room didn't seem to have soundproof windows! Beds very comfy and tea and coffee provided.
Very friendly staff. Very lovely hotel. I booked an accessible room as I am a wheelchair user & am disabled. Room was fantastic and genuinely lovely! Would definitely stay again!
Great location. Parking very close by in a multi storey. Get your ticket validated for £11 for 24hrs parking (normally £25). Rooms are a good size, only a shower though in the bathroom
In a very good location. They couldn’t find my booking immediately, however when I contacted Trip they were able to resolve my problem after some time. Room on the top floor was clean.
Decent room and comfy bed.
The staff were friendly and check-in / check-out was quick.
Would happily stay here again.
Friendly, clean and convenient location to where we needed to go
Perfectly fine chain hotel. Friendly enough, clean enough although the room was a little shabby. Great location.
Hi. It was my first time I booked there. They where very friendly.. Aftr I sprained my ankle I had to get a room service for 2 nights. Sybil, ali and another girl on the reception was very kind, helpfull. And attentive to, also the chef was really good sorted my meal out. ... Thanx again, will visit again. Ayesha x
Lovely place NCP Car park very near To the Ramada Hotel . Great location. Value for money. Nice and clean room tea/coffee iron and ironing board in room everything you need . I had room service at night from the bar. Friendly welcoming but very professional Breakfast lovely great choice from traditional to fresh fruit i will definitely stay there again and would recommend to others thankyou xx
A great centrally located hotel that has friendly staff and clean throughout. The breakfast was good but parking an issue.
One lady from reciption staff were not helpful and act bad behaving at the end of my stay. Reciption staff are the address of any hotel or company, they should represent their hotel or company as good as they can, otherwise customers will not come again!!
Very central hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable well worth a visit for business or pleasure.
So close to the venue we were going to
Good hotel located inn short distance to communication (bus station) , shopping (like Highcross) but also tourist attractions. Rooms are spotless, however breakfast is ok but in ny opinion a little bit too expensive. But very friendly and helpful staff.
We visited the Ramada Encore for a drink during a day out in Leicester. Very friendly welcoming staff. Inside the bar was clean and tidy, very clean well looked after toilet facilities. Outside the seating area was a bit messy with cigarette ends on the floor and sparse furniture which was a shame as everything else was fantastic.
Room was excellent, bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful, however the fro t of house reception staff were very unfriendly and less than helpful. Not a good reflection on the rest of my stay yo be honest
Amazing hotel!! Absolutely loved it! Amazing all you can eat breakfast 😋 and very lovely and supportive customer service 😀 thank you 😊
Great location can't complain about the service or room
Room was clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Bar was decent and a good selection. Breakfast was great.
Ramada Encore is a decent hotel with good services. The rooms are big enough but the toilets are tiny and do not offer all the toletries. Breakfast was good and had adequate options.
The food wasn't bad, rooms were quite nice, shower is amazing! There was a really friendly waiter who did a top job and joined some of the jokes I'm not 100% but I think he's name was Stephen or something with an s
Stayed a few weeks ago for work, room was ok, walk in shower was the highlight of my 'upgrade' everything else was pretty basic.
Bar was closed in the late evening even tho I was told it was 24/7 which was very disappointing.
Nice hotel. Awkward location if you come by car. Staff ok. Rooms are big, but do not have a cosy feeling like you would expect from a hotel. Maybe due to the fact that they don't have carpets.
Not the best service provided by the staff. The rooms were decent but I wouldn't recommend this hotel considering its more expensive than the rest. Other hotels offer much more for cheaper
Hotel was clean n tidy. Also ideal location.iwas dissatisfied with wifi. It failed alot. Ended up using my data. Staff were friendly, on the whole a reasonably good hotel. I my return in the future..
Surprisingly lovely for the price, breakfast was exactly what you'd want, really enjoyed my stay.
Loves this hotel. Location is brilliant. Was so clean and spacious. Would defo stay again! Super value for money and lady at check in couldn't help enough.
Great location. Room was clean and nice. Good shower pressure. Staff were very helpful .
Clean place but very poor and limited breakfast. Bed was too soft for me but location is really good. Parking costs £11 per night
Great Hotel in the Heart of Leicesters Cultural Quarter, was previously a very dated 70s Building occupied by Norwich Union but Following a Absolutely Amazing Refurbishment of this Grand Old Lady, we now have one of the More Stunning Ramada Encores in the Country, Great Facilities and Stunning Rooms and Brilliant Staff!! Plus they are now ahead of the Game as Leicester is Having one Huge Hotel Boom at the Moment, so along with the 4 new, 4 ****+ Hotels Being Built and all the other Hotels which have just been Completed as well as a Number of Hotels which have been in Leicester for 10+ years, this Hotel is Definitely one of the Best!!!!
First time staying at this hotel...have to say the staff are the friendliest I've ever come across..extremely helpful.....
Found it surprising that check in was at 2:00.No water available to make your coffee/tea unless you purchase it (first hotel I’ve been to like this)No toothbrush/toothpaste/combThe hairdryer didn’t work (they aren’t checking their utilities I suppose)The toilet smelled like a sewer constantlyLocation goodRoom overall was nice apart from the smell from the toilet/shower
Not at all worth the fee. The hotel was very cold, the bed was very uncomfortable, and just generally not at all worth the fee they expect.
Room adequate, clean, staff helpful. I would stay here again. As average hotel, reasonably priced, no complaints
Decent hotel, good price. Very much mid range. The food was a disappointment, pretty basic, and wasn't keen on the floors in the room either. Otherwise as expected really for. This price range!
Spent a night at this fabulous hotel situated in the city centre of Leicester.
Very comfortable rooms, lovely bar with friendly staff and great ambience
Good cosy rooms for a night's stay. Floors are also quiet which is very good in such a busy location.
The breakfast was very nice, the service and staff was great. It was really comfortable and cozy.
I liked this hotel, central Leicester. But can't guarantee calm rest as hotel is very big and have many guests. Clean and tidy! Friendly staff!
Perfect stay. Warm and friendly reception staff. Excellent all around
Met a colleague in the public area; very comfortable and staff were really nice. Made to feel very welcome; assuming the hotel is a pleasant experience too.
Swift and professional check in, rooms clean and exactly as advertised. No issues what so ever and a great location. Efficient and friendly staf
The room was a hit tired and needs a refresh. Bed was very comfortable
Nice and pleasant place to stay would recommend nice clean rooms in the city centre so easy access to shops etc
Hotel is right in the centre, so a bit of a pain to get to with roadworks and closures, lots of noise from outside in the early hours but if you want to be right in town near to bars and restaurants then it's a good location,
Hotel is a little tired in places, but overall was clean.
Staff were polite, friendly and professional.
The room and bed was a good size as was the bathroom.
Parking is 2 minutes away, with a small discount if you validate your ticket at reception.
Breakfast was fine with continental and cooked options
It was good value overall for the price I paid on a corporate rate, and would use the hotel again
Very pleasant stay. Breakfast was very nice, a good choice of different foods. Very spacious room for the price. Would visit again.
3 Stars hotel which deserves A 5 Shining Stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Perfect Customer Care Supeb Hospitality! It was a 3 nights stay which extended to a week 🥰 Not to mention the location is in the heart of the city center.
Because of the work I do I spent a lot of time in hotels this one is one of my least favorites as none of the rooms have carpet perhaps it's just me but I hate wooden floors
Amazing absolutely amazing , I came with my partner and the staff were so lovley , the room was perfect , the bed was so comfy and we didn't want to leave , we sat downstairs that night just watching the world go by and everyone was enjoying themself it was nice to see we work eveyday so it was nice to have just a break so we stayed here the night and we will be definitely going back soon !!!
very good location, lovely hotel, nice breakfast and kind staff
The food in the restaurant is the best I've had from a hotel in a very very long time. The staff are very friendly and helpful when I told them that the air con had broken they said they would try to fix it or bring a fan for the room as they were not able to give me another room due to being fully booked
Regular standard service
Morning breakfast not up to mark for Asian mostly for Bangladeshi or Indian.
Most important things is this is close to City center which is too good.
Totally perfect hotel shower was amazing all staff polite hard working the young member of staff assisting with breakfast was a breath of fresh air polite kind couldn't fault him will return soon.
Great location, comfy beds, reception team were friendly. Overall, very good
Fantastic location. Very clean, friendly staff and a really nice buffet breakfast.
Not much else to add really. 🤷♂️👍
Stayed here for a work event, good central location and really comfortable and clean rooms.
Brilliant stay, lovely room just prefer carpet and it was laminate perfect location with disabled parking over the road.
Everything was good. Location was two blocks from Athena where we were attending a wedding. The only complaint is that the breakfast wasn't very good.
Just stopped for a hot chocolate, coffee and pot of tea with friends. All freshly made and reasonably priced
Best check in and all the information we required to enjoy our stay.
Really nice clean Hotel which excels by the attitude by all the Staff who work there.
Rooms Functional and Clean.
I was on the 5th Floor but could still hear people at Street level.
Food so so nothing brilliant AND NO ROOM SERVICE!
Major issue is that English is an optional extra as most of what I asked about or for was lost in translation with the staff with lots of (on my part) sorry please say that again or pointing at things on menus, etc...
Good location, didn't eat here but heard the breakfast was ok beside the orange juice! Room was clean, bed was I little old but ok.
The girl reception was so friendly and upbeat. Right in the middle of town, so great location. Only downfall was the bed was rather soft!
Had an excellent stay here, right in a convenient spot in town, friendly staff. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because the rooms are a little dated and need a deep clean and modernizing more. Other than that an excellent stay.
Great hotel - conveniently situated. No onsite parking, however discounted NCP nearby
Chef P and Oanna and the entire dining and front desk staff made all the difference. They helped ensure we had a wonderful stay. Thank you !
I try to cancel it like more then 24 hours earlier I book it accidentally a day later I send Tham email for Chang the date or refund abut that reject it twice so definitely not recommended that hotel and that trip.com absolutely waist of money
Laminate flooring in the rooms mean neighbouring room noise is easily transferred. Hotel is in hood central location.
I did not stay in this hotel 🏨 overnight but, had friends & family members who stayed there.
Had a shower 🚿 yesterday & the room was spotless ✨
Had drinks & great English 🏴 tea ☕️ was very good quality. Oana who is a service manager at reception centre served me together with Manav..
They were welcoming, friendly, polite and experienced.
I was served by Oana twice to get drinks to the table.. She’s excellent at serving customers.
Taken these pictures yesterday & the lounge was hygienic with high standards.
The hotel is absolutely fine. No issues with the rooms and the lobby is lovely. The issue I have is with the clientele coming back at all hours of the night screaming and shouting. Then arguing outside of my room until 5am. If you want to stay somewhere that is central and cheap, but don't mind being woken up at all hours then this is the place for you.
Overall a great hotel and definitely worth a stay.
Check in and out were both really quick and easy, thanks to the excellent staff. I was offered a room upgrade which was amazing, though even at the regular price for a standard room it's great value for money. The beds are so comfortable!
It's 10 minutes walk from the train station and about the same from the coach station, so that's handy if you have cases. It's also right on the edge of the city centre so you have easy access and a quiet location in one.
Great hotel in the centre of Leicester. The room was comfortable and clean but the TV was terrible, only about 4 channels worked. It's a shame that it doesn't have it's own carpark. The NCP carpark is close by and only a few minutes walk. Good hotel ,I would stay here again.
The service is very good, friendly staff and the food is fine. The rooms need painting, skirting boards etc are old and tired. Not much investment is needed to bring them to a better standard. Biggest issue I faced was parking, £15 overnight and it’s a nightmare to find. You’re right in the centre so constant stream of people outside your window but wasn’t too bad. Basic, but acceptable.
Clean & relatively new. Pleasant atmosphere in a central location. Friendly staff, breakfast not bad either.
I’d match this hotel to Premier Inn. You know what you’re getting. The team were lovely and fast service. The room had coffee/tea. The window opened and it was relatively clean. Air con worked so I could keep warm in the night. Would definitely stay again.
Comfortable rooms and welcoming staff. Nice tasty English breakfast. Unfortunately a local Indian restaurant has decided to create a late-night nightclub nearby which meant that, although we were fine on Friday night, we had to change rooms at Midnight on Saturday. I believe they have registered an objection but, in the meantime, it's worth asking for a quiet room.
Great location. Very clean room and well appointed. Great bar and breakfast. Very professional and polite staff. NCP car park is 2 minutes away so parking is dead easy.
Overall a very good experience, great location in the cultural quarter, my room was very clean and comfortable, most amenities were well-kept and it felt modern. Bar/restaurant area was nice with plenty of seats and although I didn't try the food, the beer selection was impressive for a hotel chain. Hard to fault for the price I paid.
Rude staff and uncomfortable room with loose floor ties and horrible beds, and it is laking in most common amenities.Would not stay hear again
Very good. Near. City center near tesco. Sensubery and. Lot of. Takeaway
Excellent service. The room we had booked into had a broken window latch, so it would not close. Staff were extremely efficient in moving us to a new room.
Our room was clean and tidy, good facilities.
All our interactions with the staff were friendly and professional.
Definitely stay here again, only next time I'll make sure I have a breakfast! (It looked lush, we sadly had to leave early).
Thank you all for a very pleasant stay.
Stayed for 3 nights, was pretty expensive (same as a 3 night stay in Spain with flights) but hey ho. There was an event there to attend.
Staff were friendly and attentive but not in the way, or bothersome.
Location is great for city centre.
Comfy beds and room layout but would be tight for two people as there's not much room for storage (no wardrobe/dresser) just a low shelf unit with a few hangers.
Noise was fair, you can here people entering their rooms in corridor and you can also hear the annoying racing morons in the streets. The laminated flooring makes it possible to hear people walking around in the next room too, which was the most annoying part of the stay.
We paid for breakfast... The food was ok but not consistent, as a former chef of 8 years I suppose this is subjective.
The drains in my room also stunk, but not in my mum's next door so again maybe this was isolated to the room.
Overall I didn't dislike my stay and it served it's purpose but I wouldn't pay what I paid to stay there again.
A special mention about Kunal at the reception for being so helpful during my car accident . And going all out to make our stay comfortable.
English breakfast buffet was great every morning as we stayed almost a week.
Staff friendly and accommodating.
overall the hotelnis nice but it's beginning to look tired, especially the rooms. otherwise ok
Location: 12 mins walk from train station. In close proximity to City Centre, Highcross, retails and food. Hotel: efficient check in and check out process. Room size is decent for a budget hotel. Basic amenities but clean. Faulty elevator and skipped floors so I had to take my luggage all the way down when check out.
Stayed here for a community meetup & it was the ideal place! More importantly , Claire made it such a warm welcome stay and her help and assistance ahead of the visit made it a smooth process. Would highly recommend anyone stay here if going to Leicester and hope you get lucky enough to have Claire look after you. Thanks you guys it was a great weekend.
Pleasant stay here.
Staff very friendly and efficient.
Business room with king bed was light, airy and spacious. Could have done with a little luck of paint here and there, otherwise fine.
Good breakfast and service.
Location was excellent for city centre, parking and train.
The rooms are a little tired, but the staff are first class, and the location is good.
Every staff member was polite, professional, and motivated to offer a good service.
Breakfast was fine, good selection of English and continental, We stayed for the Grand Prix and the amount of people who came down at the same time the staff did a great job of catering for the demand.
Poor wifi
Poor soundproofing on windows.
Okay breakfast.
Friendly helpful staff.
The carpark is hard to get to and is actually a pay and display down the road
Perfect location for the city centre. We stayed as a couple and the room was a perfect size. Shower was warm and really powerful. We also used the gym facilities which was small but quiet and had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay again.
Great stay. Nothing to complain about!
For what you pay it’s good for the location but bring ear plugs as I did not get any sleep. There was not one moment in the night where there wasn’t someone banging doors or being loud in the corridors and you can hear everything on the streets too.
City centre location. Stayed on fifth floor. Rooms were immaculate and such a comfy bed. Scored 4 for the room due to the double glazing not quite doing its job. Cold coming in and loud outside and in a city centre location needs to be better. Parking for 24 hours available less than a minutes walk away also was great.
Great location, and a clean hotel. quite tired and basic, but you get what you pay for!
Turned up at 4pm and the bed wasn’t made and was told it would be done while we were out. Bed was really small and lumpy. At night all you can hear is the water through the pipes in the bathroom so constant noise. Website said £11 for 24hr parking validation but had to pay £15. Poor service all round really. Wouldn’t stay here again.
Great place to stay, staff were great and very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable although a little on the small size. The food was very nice and all cooked fresh.
Cracking hotel with outstanding staff. Easy check in process after our long 4 minute walk from the train station! Clean, comfortable and modern rooms. Friendly bar staff and very reasonably priced drinks. Hotel is a few minute walk from the market place and loads of places to eat and drink. We would definitely return here
I enjoyed every bit of my stay lovely staff. The rooms were clean and it was peaceful. Lovely for a getaway.
The staff here are really friendly and helpful.
A good spacious room, which was clean and as you would expect.
I wasn’t a massive fan of their air conditioning which is centrally controlled so if you’re feeling a little hot and they’re not then tough.
Its in a really handy location for the city centre.
I paid a little extra for the breakfast which was good quality and there was plenty of it. But they were a little slow refreshing items which ran out.
The discounted NCP rate was an added bonus and made the room rate even better value.
I’ll happily stay here again next time I visit Leicester.
Can see why their a 3-star hotel. Hotel is nice and in a good location. Room is good and cosy. Bathroom was dirty and drain in shower was blocked causing the bathroom to flood. Was offered a laundry service Friday afternoon, did not have laundry bags had to use shopping bags. Let them know I was leaving Sunday and they took my stuff, called Saturday to follow up no update. Called Sunday morning before check out and get a sorry we don’t do laundry on the weekend, we will bring back up your dirty clothes. Now I have no clothes as travelling, could have done it myself. Very disappointing as a hotel you don’t have weekends you operate 365 days a year.
Great Location, modern, clean and helpful/friendly staff. Great bar in the lobby fairly priced. Car park is 1 min walk from hotel & Parking is discounted by hotel to £15 for 24hours which would be the only downside to this hotel for me but this is due to such a central location & I guess that’s the price you pay. Didn’t have breakfast but lots of places close by so if you choose not to have breakfast with your room, plenty of choices close by.
Excellent Customer Service and Convenient Accom Ramada Encore Leicester
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ramada Encore Leicester, and I must say that my experience was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the hotel staff, particularly Madan Rathore, the Managing Director, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and convenient.
One aspect that impressed me was the hotel's commitment to providing parking facilities. While there was no big parking space available on the premises, Madan Rathore personally assisted me in arranging onsite parking which was really helpful. This level of support and dedication to customer satisfaction was truly commendable.
Furthermore, I appreciated the flexibility and convenience offered in terms of meal arrangements. Madan inform me that they are able to accommodate my dietary preferences and any special requests I had for my meals. This attention to detail and willingness to cater to individual needs made a significant difference in my overall experience.
The room itself was clean, modern, and well-appointed. The comfortable bed and amenities provided a relaxing atmosphere, allowing me to unwind after a busy day. The hotel's location was also convenient, with easy access to local attractions and amenities.
Throughout my stay, I found the staff at Ramada Encore Leicester to be friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. Whether it was providing recommendations for local dining options or arranging transportation, their knowledge and helpfulness were top-notch.
In conclusion, my stay at Ramada Encore Leicester was nothing short of exceptional. The outstanding customer service provided by Madan Rathore and the entire hotel staff, along with the convenient accommodations and flexible meal arrangements, made for a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Leicester and looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay.
Service Quality, Food Quality is exceptional!! Especially Sahil was a great help throughout my stay. This Ramada also has a great chef P. Highly recommend
Very disappointed. Hair dryer did not work. Plug on iron was brocken. Could not get the air conditioner to work. Apparently you have to ring reception and they do it for you.No information pack. Breakfast finishes at 9.30am ridiculous.
A bit of a trek from the station but plenty of shops, bars, cafes on the way. Hotel staff very pleasant at check in and out. Room nice and warm on what was a cold wet night. Only a short walk to centre and market
We had stayed here last minute as our original holiday apartment got cancelled, must stay they just overturned our messed holiday back in full form. We arrived pass midnight with little kids , they have been constantly helpful and great service from staff team .
A very good value for money , the breakfast options needs commented.
Rooms were well cleaned and kept in good form,
No job was big to the staff, and the manger considered our reservation and was helpful in getting the refund for the room which we didn't use.
Few people have commented about the wifi, bathroom, showers.
Must bear in mind this is a very ecomnomical hotel but serves better than premier inn or Travelodge in my opinion.
Not a bad hotel, in the middle of town. Parking a little steep for night. Rooms weren't as clean as expected. Toilet especially. Sort your cleaning out. Floor was sticky, use a mop maybe? Bed was comfortable.
Ideal for the city centre.
Rooms look tired and smelt of mould.
Check in / out was very slow.
Food was okay.
Superb service from all staff, unfortunately let down by lack of maintenance within the room.
Staff very attentive and prompt, food very good and as mentioned the room was the let down.
Location was great for the Curve Theatre and bars. Disappointed at breakfast with lack of attention given. Eg. Not shown to the table or told routine of getting breakfast as to where things were. No bread asked for some and a whole loaf was put in front of me still in its bag. Not displayed on bread tray provided. Later on another member of staff did it. Hot food not very hot just warm. On checking out the man on the desk was very kind and polite.
I wanted to love this place - good value, the staff were all charming, the room was spotless and the breakfast was hot and plentiful. But the first floor "family" room wasn't fit for purpose - just a sagging sofa bed squashed next to the double. The sofa bed couldn't accommodate my children, aged 9 and 6, comfortably - it was too small and dipped in the middle so they kept waking each other up. And the Saturday night street noise was horrific. I'm aware you're going to end up with a bit of traffic in a city centre location but we all woke up multiple times between 11pm-4am with revellers, racing cars and sirens going off every few minutes. All in all a terrible night.
The hotel is central. It is walking distance to the the main shopping area approximately 3 minutes and 9 minutes from the train station.
I have stayed a few times. One of the rooms, I stayed in the bathroom had a musty smell.
Another room the bathroom sink was blocked and there was left over papers from the previous people. I did report the issues on both occasions to the front desk and they said they will look into it.
All in all it is good value for money, you will get a good night's sleep. The staff are welcoming and helpful.
Wonderful staff, excellent location - let down by the quality of the rooms.
Calling the rooms Spartan would reflect badly on Spartans. But it does the job.
Staff are fantastic - fantastically helpful and friendly. And the location - slap bang in the city centre - cannot be beaten!
Hotel was decent - close walk from train station, town centre and coach station.. room was good size and clean! Friendly staff too..
*Negative* the side my room was on was direct to the town - I could hear loud drunk people and loud music all night and couldn’t sleep!
Stayed one night, the bed was incredibly comfortable and room very clean, however the bathroom was tired with blown lightbulbs and cracked shower fittings. We used a conference room on arrival and service was very underwhelming, once lunch was eaten we were forgotten about with a relatively small group rapidly running out of clean cups, biscuits etc. Shame really as the staff we met were lovely
We stayed for 5 nights confident in our stay having used this hotel before. Apart from a minor issue, which was resolved to our complete satisfaction with expediency, our time here proved perfect. The staff, without exception, were polite & courteous whilst observing all Covid-related protocols.
The hotel was clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast comprised a reasonable selection of hot and cold buffet items, with replenishments occurring frequently.
We would not hesitate to return.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting City Center (CC).
We stayed in a double room on the 3rd floor. Lovely room, was very big and airy. Bed was so comfy. Nice big bathroom as well. Have to be careful when stepping from bathroom into the bedroom as floor very slippy when wet. Will definitely stay again. Staff very friendly
Great location, comfortable hotel, friendly efficient staff, nice buffet breakfast. Not stayed anywhere in else in Leicester as I came here once, liked it, found no reason to stay anywhere else.
The room is relatively large. The sofa is very comfortable. The wind power of the air conditioner is not ideal. The most commendable is the bathroom. The water temperature and pressure are comfortable. The frustrating thing is that the wireless network is too slow, and I even have to use my own 5g network.
Nice ideal prime central location. Clean rooms friendly staff. And cosy bed. Good size 27mqs room. Large tv
Great location next to the NCP which is discounted for hotel guests.
Nice walk into the town with lots of restaurants and coffee shops. The shopping centre is also very close by.
I stayed on my own and felt very safe and secure throughout the hotel.
The room was a great size with everything you need for a quick stop over.
Decent hotel in a good spot in Leicester. The rooms are alright and I've stayed here often for work related purposes.
My only complaints are that the food and drink prices are quite high and the servers are extremely slow. I'll order something like a pizza at 18:30 and will still be waiting at 19:00 and the I have to wait again at least another 30 minutes for my dessert.
In regard to prices, an example is that a Guinness is around £6.30 and it's not even on draught, it's one of those surge cans which is a bit of a rip off in my opinion, a better alternative is the Wetherspoons 5 minutes down the road as there's more food and drink options at a cheaper price, Guinness is also on draught 😂.
Overall, if I were to stay here outside of work purposes, I would only do so for the location. Apart from that I wouldn't.
