J. M.It needs a refurbishment . The room was smelly and the carpets where dirty and shower did not work properly. Would not recommend to anyone
J. M.Hotel has ample car parking. Pleasant staff. Great value bar and overall stay. Rooms however had many flaws. My bed in-particular was awful, lumpy sagging mattress, with a huge dip on one side, hard rise in the middle on a squeaky frame. As a result I had one rotten night. There were several flaws here and there but as a short stay, I will use again, so long as the bed itself is a sight better. 2.5 is my true rating this time. Sort the beds, mattresses at least and the 3-4 star perhaps. You can forgive a lot with any hotel so long as you are comfy and can sleep soundly. All that said, if you managed to get a decent bed, and therefore a good nights kip, then you'd likely be somewhat kinder with your reviews.

W.Fantastic Experience. we called last minute on Saturday 30th June. they readily met our accommodation needs. we arrived well before check in time suffering effects of the sweltering heat. they gave us instant access to facilities to freshen up. the room was great. well presented, very clean and fully stocked. the staff were amazingly helpful throughout our whole stay. the breakfast was great. very highly recommend these guys. you really looked after us

I have stayed here many times and I wrote a lot of one of my recent books here. The hotel is also great value for money. Highly recommended.

S. S.Here now I'm not one for reviews but after reading others it's made me want to share a post...honestly cant fault the place spacious comfy room..really friendly owners. Sensibly priced..the food was lovely and portion size was more than enough..night stop due to buisness well recommended with plenty of parking space..👍

B. I.This was a very low cost room that I stayed in during the worst part of storm Emma. All the bits that should have been clean were and everything that should have been shiny, shined. Staff were friendly, though I didn't meet the catering staff (I ate in the room stocked by a very close co-op under a minutes walk away).
Though not what you'd call salubrious, it was functional, practical even cosy. It gets 4 stars because it isn't the four seasons and any less may have looked as though I didn't like it. It was way fine.
S. T.Check in was quick, staff were friendly. The rooms and the bed were clean. The fixtures and fittings were a little dated but functional. Breakfast was very nice. A well done and generous full English.

make sure to visit Richard III and listen to all the coincidences which "can't be coincidences". Lovely in the most british sense.
A. P.Quirky and great for the price. The restaurant serves good food, and the bar is well stocked - even if you do feel like you are sat in a Victorian drawing room. A bit far out of town (it's approximately an hours walk) and there isn't much around except houses.
J. R.Came here for a work event. Staff were absolutely fantastic, exceptionally accommodating and more than patient. Food was great and the service was spot on. I was genuinely surprised by how fair the drinks prices were. Check these guys out if you get the chance!

m. s.Only visited a friend who was staying here....ended up at the bar on a really hot day. Was served by an young Asian man who told us it was his first day but he could have fooled as he knew what he was doing. A pint of carling at £3.00 and bottle of magners £4.65 was happy with the price and service. He offered us snacks but we didnt want any. But can't fault anything, drinks given, offered snacks, overall a good service so far. I'll be staying at the regency in september so lookin forward to my stay. Michelle sykes x

S. T.An oldy worldy hotel based near Oadby in Leicester, with creaking stairs and fading carpet. But it's utterly awesome and authentic. Large double beds with soft, springy mattresses - utterly comfortable.
