Took my mum for a birthday lunch and it was really nice to enjoy old fashioned white table clothes in a lovely room with bay windows and a view of newalk. The service from ‘I think his name was- Roberto’ he was from Romania was excellent. From when we arrived and had coffee we asked where we could sit and he said wherever we liked and he placed a reserved sign on a table we had chosen. He even bought my mum out a lovely happy birthday plate of sweet treats after lunch.

Great hotel with great service, great location at a great price. The staff were great and very helpful. Thank you for making our trip to Leicester perfect. Good for reunion or family event. Quiet location too.

We had our friends and family meal there. I really like the staff nothing seemed too much trouble. The young lad was busy waiting on people but made time to get extra gravy for our table and made it seem effortless. All the waiters and waitresses were very genuine people. All serviced one table at a time over looked by a gentlemen, who was keeping the house in check . I spoke to the bar staff and was very impressed with the banter. The young girl engaged me in a conversation and we found we had a similar taste and the young male engaging with good eye contact. It’s really nice to have gregarious staff, it makes all the differences in the service. Would highly recommend.

My absolute favourite hotel. Cute boutique, with staff that couldn't do more to make your stay as lovely as possible. On this visit my husband and I took advantage of the 'date night' offer, which included afternoon tea on arrival, delicious 3 course dinner which we had in our room (suite), it was so nice we had breakfast in our room too.
It really was all lovely, the perfect date night. We highly recommend even if you've been married 30 years.

Staffs in Belmont hotel are polite and very accommodating. My auntie celebrated her 66th Birthday there last night and we coudn't fault the hotel itself and the staffs. The receptionist greeted us with warmness and a lovely smile. The kitchen crew who served us the courses were gracious and polite. And btw, our food was the bomb, my husband doesn't eat desserts but he particularly can't compliment enough the lemon tart! My Auntie for breakfast - the next day enjoyed her meal! I will definitely recommend Belmont hotel to anyone. And before I forget, the room is amazing, huge bed and super clean.. If we could give 6 stars, we would! Cheers!

Very nice, clean hotel. Really friendly staff who made my stay nice. Keep safe and well. Thank you for a great day at the Rose Room.

Really nice, clean room. Huge bath. The bed was very comfortable. The shoe shine machine in the corridor is a lovely touch

Great hotel, the room was really nice super-king bed so plenty of sleeping space, they supply extra heaters incase you get cold despite the heating being on, nice staff Oliver was very friendly would definitely stay here again, if i had to give something negative, the parking is very tight and the restaurant menu is not great, very limited items available, however your virtually in the city centre so plenty of places of eat.

Quaint Hotel that doesn't pretend to be something that it isn't. Very easy check in and out process with a couple of sociable female staff members. Good restaurant recommendation for Thursday! Many Thanks.
Room was a bit dated but functional with a good size TV, usual tea etc. and a decent bathroom with a good shower.
Breakfast cooked to order which I always think is a nice touch.
Very good location with plenty of things to do nearby.

Brilliant service room is just what we wanted looks are definitely deceiving with this hotel. Full breakfast was nice apart from the poached eggs which tastes like vinegar, other than that amazing stay...

We married here 15 years ago and returned this week for our anniversary. We stayed in a double room and it was lovely, overlooking New walk. We had a meal in Jamie's bar which was lovely. Very clean and staff helpful, breakfast was lovely

Just had 1 night at The Belmont, would have been vert happy to stay longer. Chose it because of it's proximity to The De Montford Hall. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Only downside to the room was there was no usb sockets to charge our phone, we didn't think to take an adapter plug. If we were staying longer we would have asked at reception for assistance on this.
Returned to the hotel for a nightcap after our evening at De Montford Hall to find the bar was closed, it was 22.20pm. Spoke with reception & they kindly opened the bar, which was then also enjoyed by other guests.
Good choice at breakfast, we had the full English was very good.
Found all staff to be very friendly, polite & respectful. Will certainly stay here again.

Not a bad place, parking can be hard and road need level as i have scratched my car few times at the bottom.
For meetings it has enough spaces and bar staff are really courtious.
Only draw back the hotel needs a face lift as it feels super out dated in the main meeting rooms and hall way.
Plus point your only 2mins away from resturants and shops. Railway station is only across the road too

Nice independent hotel, unfortunately our room was incredibly hot, apart from that everything was clean an tidy. The breakfast was a highlight, all cooked well and nicely presented. I did feel it was a little mean to charge a £3.50 supplement to have the avocado on toast instead of a full English (my partner refused on principle)

My daughter had her wedding reception here last friday and it was absolutely perfect. The service and food was fantastic.
Thankyou so much for making it the perfect day for us all.
Lovely rooms and great breakfast too.
P. S.
Excellent spacious room with good facilities. Very helpful staff arranged an early check-in. Great cooked to order breakfast. 100% all round.
J. B.
The staff were very welcoming and polite. The food is outstanding. The reason I'm giving this hotel a 4 is because the WiFi connection in my room was so poor. I ended up using my phone as a hotspot to get onto my laptop. Also there is a public footpath next to the hotel which in the evening had groups of teenagers loitering playing music. The bed was comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. The negatives wouldn't put me off staying again.

Absolutely wonderful weekend held hete for my son's wedding.
Fantastic room (213) overlooking New Walk. Very quiet.
Great service from the staff too and a lovely breakfast. Thankyou!
M. C.
Extremely helpful ,food was lovely .Very kind when a situation arose and we had to stay longer .

A well run clean hotel close to the town centre museums university and rail station. Well priced with a good level of service.

Excellent customer service, room was very clean and breakfast was perfect. Could have not asked for better stay.

Good venue for hosting events. Great staff and food.

Despite covid a great and friendly place. Great quality and service and very well recommended and extremely clean and stocked in the room

We had afternoon tea at their restaurant and really enjoyed the food and service was delightful and very professional.

Nice building, food average. Could do small changes to give this place the wow factor.

just had a great meal at the Belmont. Lovely place and lovely staff - definitely come back again.
J. H.
A lovely afternoon tea today and a catch up with my daughter and granddaughter. Fresh scones and cake always a pleasure to visit. A tranquil and calm haven.
J. P.
good place for a meeting. Wi-Fi a bit week but felt very safe. 🌝
K. S.
Lovely hotel. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. We'll appointed. Good bar area with extensive menu. Substantial breakfast. Staff excellent. Easy parking.
R. C.
I really enjoyed the cream tea and the mini cakes, especially the macaroons filled with raspberry jam, Tasty finger sandwiches and scones with jam and butter. We would like to know why cream was not included with the scones, but won't hold it against your amazing services. And the free prosecco was a nice touch. 😊

We was visiting The Belmont Hotel for our nieces wedding and the staff there worked really hard, they did a great job making sure the venue was ready for the wedding ceremony then the same room was cleared and prepared for the meal and then again preparing the same room for the evening disco, brilliant job thanks guys.
K. B.
Great staff nothing too much trouble. Good rooms and decor. Food nice, breakfast very good.

Lovely hotel close to the centre of Leicester. Staff very friendly room large and clean. Will stay again. Breakfast lovely

Have a real connection to this wonderful place...used to sit with my partner and read chapters from Great expectations ! Very romantic I know...
Went there this evening to reminisce! Due to COVID sadly the books were put away, however lovely evening all the same...and helpful bar man too!
Support these beautiful old venues....keep them hoing! And pop in !

Went here for a Christmas party, we had really nice time. The room was very neat and tidy, fully stocked. The elevator was a little startling, but that's just because it's old. Breakfast was a buffet and was just OK. The bacon had just been shown the pan, pastries were a little soggy. Not terrible but not amazing either. The Christmas night was good, the meal was very tasty, but portions were small. The music in the room we had booked was way too loud for the room and everyone ended up leaving and sitting at the bar only going back in to dance.
S. H.
Have just spent Christmas there with my family and it was a lovely experience. The staff are friendly, helpful and give excellent service and the food was great quality. Nice touches in the room - Christmas gift and bottled water, made this a really comfortable stay. Great rooms, clean and a unique hotel. Tremendous value for money. - thanks for making Christmas so enjoyable.

We went last Saturday 3 of us ladies for afternoon tea. Was excellent! Am gluten free and nothing was too much trouble food and service Excellent 👍⭐ Thankyou

I stayed at The Belmont last summer, this visit in January was my 2nd time there and it was just as good as I remember it. Last time I stayed in a deluxe room with a sofa bed, this time I had a standard double. The room was much much smaller, even a bit cramped, but the rooms are very quiet and the beds are very comfortable and there was lots of hot water for showers so it was perfectly adequate. The hotel is on a very quiet street and the rooms are very sound proofed, so you can get a good nights sleep without being disturbed by the city or other guests. The waitress at breakfast was the same lady as I had before and she was just as friendly and welcoming. I really like staying at this hotel for my trips to Leicester and will definitely stay there again.
M. R. J.
A relaxing, comfortable, non-corporate and traditional hotel.
Rooms are pleasant and range in size and amenity.
Car parking is FREE, something of an increasing rarity.
Breakfast is excellent and of good value.
The bar is lively and well stocked. Bar food is very good. There is also a pricier restaurant with a good menu.
Discount is available for a repeat stay.
We love the place and have stayed many times, with more stays to come, we intend: it is SO handily close to De Montfort Hall!
"The Walk" , outside the door, is a delight, straight into Leicester Centre... Wonderful

An amazing day and evening at my nephew's wedding.Room very clean and comfortable. Thank you.
O. J.
Only been here for a meeting with work using the conference rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful, the conference rooms are suitable, clean and bright. The little kitchen area is well equipped, big variety of drinks to choose from, always well stocked. There’s biscuits and cakes left over from lunchtime. The carrot cake was gorgeous! Had lunch in the bar a couple of times, food was good, as expected.
M. C.
Excellent experience good food and service lovely hotel
C. Z.
Friendly staff, super clean and comfy rooms.. Located on a really pretty walk into the city. Really reasonably priced. We had a junior suite for 2 adults and 2 children and we had plenty of space... And a great bathroom. Definitely recommend it.
P. N.
We booked for my husbands birthday on 31st January whilst we attended a performance at De Monfort Hall. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable, the bed was soo comfy. As a little treat they even had a birthday card waiting for him, with chocolates. A lovely thought. Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly. A great place to stay, we will definitely book again. Thank you all.
S. S.
The wedding package here is really good. We first visited this place in August 2018 and decided this would be the one for us! So we had our wedding ceremony (not official one since we got married in Las Vegas earlier) in August 2019. Carolann, our wedding planner is wonderful. She organized almost everything for us. The day can be stressful but everything just went so well. The room we got is also huge. We love the space and the look inside. Definitely a day we won't forget.
J. S.
Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, we were made to feel very welcome. Rooms were very comfy but maybe a tiny bit tired. Breakfast was very good, buffet or cooked to order depending on how many guests were staying. Dinner was good, bit on the expensive side. Would stay again.

Had an excellent stay at the Belmont Hotel.
First of all it was a short walk from the railway station. The location was on a delightful, leafy traffic free walk into the city making for a very quiet room and therefore a good nights sleep. The staff were the friendliest I have ever met in an English hotel and with a traditional, warm atmosphere it was a perfect place for me and my friend.
J. D.
Friendly hotel within walking distance of Leicester railway station. A little dated, but comfortable, in premises probably renovated 15-20 years ago. Lift available for upper floors, but very few rooms would be suitable if you have difficulty navigating at least one step. Floor levels vary throughout hotel. Pleasant, albeit fairly average, cooked breakfast with helpful staff.
R. S.
We stayed here for 2 nights for the wedding of my brother. The staff were amongst the friendliest I have ever come across at a hotel from the receptionist to the bar staff to the cleaners who all made us feel exceptionally welcome. The rooms were clean and large in size giving myself, my wife and 2 small children more than enough room to relax. Additionally the food was delicious.

The hotel is lovely and the bar/breakfast was very good. The room are in need of an update and decorating but had nice complementary touches. Overall I would say this was a very high 3 star hotel or a low 4 star as it does need redecorating in the rooms
D. H.
Fab location, great parking, clean, great food, lovely staff
D. C.
Hotel is a collection of terrace houses renovated into a single property. Positives - staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is located close to Leicester University and Railway Station. Negatives - small room (booked a twin bed), mattresses very soft and sinks, bathroom facilities not well maintained (control for shower came out) and second floor had too many stairs. Breakfast is decent.
u. a.
Nice hotel, pleasant staff. Unfortunately the plumbing is not what one would expect. No mixer taps so you either scald or freeze when washing hands. Don't need any plugs either in basin or bath as the water doesn't drain. The shower is nice but be prepared for the noise it makes!
N. J.
This venue offers impressive service with excellent staff who are professional. Also the conference manager Nathan is an integral part of the service who strives to meet customer needs in operating conferences. The reception staff are kind and personable and the house keeping staff go that extra mile. The food at the Belmont is impressive and satisfying.
J. W.
Good hotel with friendly staff, great bar and breakfast. Stayed for a business trip. The quality of the rooms was average, but for the price £100 I guess was ok. The floor in the rooms and halls were creaky so you hear a lot of people walking outside. Parking is limited and couldn't be reserved, which around this area I felt was needed, especially for later check-ins
D. H.
Great place to start your Tigers day out with drinks and food
C. M.
We held our Civil Ceremony at the Belmont Hotel back in June. Caroline and her team were first class in ensuring that our day went smoothly and exceeded our expectations. We had many dietary requirements which were all taken care of, the food standard was excellent and all our guests commented on how comfortable the clean the rooms were. We would like to thank the Belmont staff for making our day so special. I will always recommend family and friends to stay there in future.
M. R.
Went to the Belmont hotel for a Christmas party. Food was good but courses could have come out a bit quicker. Staff were nice and friendly. Got a complimentary bottle of wine because there was some problem with the meals. DJ was the same run of the mill DJ, not recommended for the younger generation.
R. N.
Stayed at the Belmont for 2 nights while seeing friends. It's in a great location with private car park, near town and the train station but still quiet as it's just off the New Walk promenade. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, if not a slightly dated bathroom but everything worked no no biggy. When we had breakfast the staff were quick to seat us and the food was nice in the full English I had. Overall a nice stay.
P. A.
Really nice hotel, very polite staff, food in the restaurant was superb and the waiting staff very knowledgable. We had a superior double room and it was great, massive bed, good selection of tea and coffee in the room, nice bathroom with plenty of towels and toiletries and a decent mirror.
We also had a safe, iron, ironing board a couple of nice chairs and a writing table. We very much enjoyed our stay.
S. L.
Stayed at this hotel some weeks ago, it's ok for the price, the building is obviously old and I noticed no aircon in the rooms. It's fairly central and close to many amenities.
P. G.
Nice hotel, great location and friendly staff. The rooms are clean, but the british style sinks, the draughty windows, the alternating hot/cold water of the shower and the lack of a wardrobe means I can't rate it higher than 4 out of 5. It offers a real and abundant breakfast but that is the norm for a 4+ star hotel.
C. H.
Staff were polite and friendly. Room was clean and tidy and spacious. The hotel itself had a classic feel and look to it so the rooms followed the same suit so don't expect it to be modern. Overall i would 100% come back if need be.
J. E.
The Belmont is an absolutely wonderful hotel in every way. I have stayed at different times in several rooms there and all the rooms have been extremely comfortable. The staff are friendly and very professional and the entire ambience of the hotel is excellent. The food is great too. I highly recommend the Belmont.
I wrote and posted the above review a while ago and and on February 4 2019 the Belmont hosted the funeral reception for my late brother and accommodated several guests, including myself. The whole experience of staying at the Belmont and having the funeral reception there was, despite the great sadness of this period, very comforting, with the Belmont staff being helpful, sympathetic and friendly. My high opinion of the Belmont is now even higher.
S. W.
Booked an executive room to stay in after a wedding. Room itself was large and well-furnished; staff were friendly and accommodating. The food served at the reception was absolutely fantastic - from the canapés to the dinner.
N. S.
I went for a work Christmas party. We all had a free drink and were then taken to our table. The tables were set and decorated beautifully and the name cards were a lovely addition. It was great to see our dinner choice noted on the card as a reminder of what I ordered (we booked a few months ago). The atmosphere was great and our group had a great time.
A. S.
Amazingly relaxing and quality stay. Nice clean room and good facilities. Liked the breakfast. I do business trips all over the world and It was one of the best hotel I stayed in. Many thanks.
S. C.
Attended for a talk. Staff friendly and the hotel itself is beautiful. Only criticism is that the room we were in backed onto the bar so when staff were using the coffee machine I could barely hear the speaker! Although, it smelt good!
P. H.
Only stayed one night (visiting the excellent Richard III Visitor Centre). Room was excellent with huge ensuite bathroom. Shame the bedside lights were old-fashioned fluorescent economy bulbs rather than LED, but that's all I can grumble about. Enjoyed an outstanding meal in the restaurant (chateaubriand done to perfection), and the staff were as friendly and helpful as any we have ever come across. Unhesitating recommendation.
A. G.
Festive Afternoon Tea
Great afternoon tea as a festive alternative to a Christmas Meal. Good selection of cakes and drinks included in the price (per volume, tea is the best option as you get a pot!). Only downside was the sandwich selection presented as not to everyone's taste but more than enough food for this not to be a problem. Good service and friendly staff too makes for a very relaxing environment.
F. B.
An old hotel but nicely furnished inside and clean. The restaurant was lovely but we went down to eat at 8am and would have expected the food to be hot but only lukewarm Nice food and well presented but really need to find a way of keeping food warmer.
D. L.
Really enjoyed our stay and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Clean and fresh room, building has character and the area it's in is close to the city center and train station. The local taxi company they use are called QUEENS TAXIS and they are that good that I also left them a review. Well done Belmont hotel you have teamed up with some great people in Leicester. A++++++++++++
A. W.
Very good location - quiet, but only about a 423 second walk away from Leicester railway station. Room - in annex on ground floor - was a little small, offering limited storage, whilst the bathroom facilities need updating. Breakfast was generally okay, although the orange juice consistently had a strange after taste.
50/50 whether I'd stay again.
L. M.
A very well kept hotel with big, warm rooms and friendly staff. Rooms were cleaned excellently and the location was great. Room even came with a free smartphone! It was designed so you could take it out as a tourist to use in the local area, with free calls and free data. Not enormously useful in Leicester, which isn't exactly a tourist hotspot, but novel nonetheless!
D. C. M.
Easy walk from railway station, turn left (south) onto A6 London Rd. Fast, friendly check-in. Clean, spacious room. Quiet. Useful mid-point between station and university. Do they allow dogs? Well, see my photos and decide ...
k. b.
Nice room, well laid out and clean hotel and the food was really nice. However staff could have been friendlier. I attended a work xmas event and the staff were very strict, right down to telling some of us to leave the dance floor because we wernt allowed to dance yet (there was a DJ playing at the time).
L. F. W.
I've been in a really small Room, but that was so cute and had everything I needed, even something to iron clothes. Plus a good bed and a hot big shower. Furthermore there were an impressive arrangement for having Breakfast.
R. P.
Great location, lovely staff and nicely presented. No air con and this was needed in the middle of the heat wave but they did provide a fan. Breakfast was nice, included with the room although the poached eggs were overdone. Would stay again.
V. B.
The room we had was brilliant and very spacious and quite moden. The service from the reception staff was very welcoming and they actually went out of their way upon arrival to help us. Location is great, in the city centre, well just a short walk away and plenty of restaurants and bars nearby
J. W.
This is a nice hotel and it wasn't as warm as the first time I stayed. The breakfasts are really filling and the only thing I would say is that it's a slightly noisy location due to the party-goers that go along New Walk on Friday and Saturday nights.
K. H.
Loved this hotel! Room was fantastic, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the bar had a good selection. Great location for walking to De Montford Hall and the city centre. Recommended
C. A.
We visited to attend a wedding fair they were holding. The rooms were laid out nicely to see each stand with plenty of room. The rooms, including the suits we saw were lovely and the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.
R.
Went in for Afternoon Tea for my husband's birthday. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The Afternoon tea was nice, I would definitely recommend Belmont Hotel
M. P.
Love the combination of oldie world meets contemporary. Great atmosphere here, professional helpful Staff. Lovely place for a peaceful midday snack away from the city, even if you are not a resident. Also had Christmas Day dinner here which was lovely
r. w.
What a refreshing change. An hotel that puts patrons first. Only stayed one night whilst visiting Grandson,. Reception staff friendly and proficient. Room clean, well furnished, comfortable, welcoming. Will use again,R.W.W.

The Belmont is a three-star hotel that is very good value for money for what it is. The rooms are well appointed, the common areas are well kept and the place blends traditional character with modern quality very well. The staff are friendly and attentive and well trained. It's an easy walk to the station, the town centre and the stadium. The only downside is that parking is limited and a bit awkward if you have a large car.
I. W.
Went to a family wedding at The Belmont. Staff very friendly, helpful and courteous and food was lovely.
Bar prices are typically pricey being a hotel and being a real ale fan I had a pint of Langton Brewery's Inclined Plane.
This is where the hotel let itself down - watery and tasteless and not at all as it should be (I've had it before being a local brew which is why I chose it) at hotel beer prices! I would advise sticking to wine, spirits & bottled beer if drinking there.
S. L.
Wouldn't stay here again. Booked an executive room and it was far from it, average at best. Needed to change rooms as first room was not cleaned from previous occupant and second room was just ok. What I'd expect from a two star hotel. Food was not very good either.
A.
Friendly staff, great food and pleasant surroundings. Lots of little areas to relax, have a drink, read or use a laptop around the downstairs area. I can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay.
M. D.
The food was generally lovely but I am dairy free and the dairy free option for the cream tea was much smaller than everyone else's with no savory option. I appreciate they accommodated me but I left tea hungry and I paid the same as everyone else. However everyone else loved it.
C. C.
Location, easy walking distance to town/university. Quiet location. Rooms tired and not as clean as they could be. Breakfast adequate. However £70 for a night for 2 people with breakfast and parking cant be sniffed at
K. E.
A rather old fashioned hotel in need of a bit of a refurb. Attended for a party and the bar was rather poorly stocked and the staff seemed overwhelmed. Inextricably considering it was one of the hottest days of the year, many rooms including the ladies toilets had the heating on full making it rather uncomfortable. Last orders was 1am which also seemed rather early.
A. T.
I stayed at the Belmont when I was visiting my son at Uni. The hotel is ideally situated between the Uni and the city centre with free parking which is very handy. My single room was a very good size, smart and comfortable. I will almost certainly stay there again.
S. C.
I Didn't stay, but had a lovely afternoon tea. I am celiac and the scones, sandwiches and cakes were amazing 😁 I would highly recommend and would visit the hotel again.
E. B.
I attended the Belmont Hotel for lunch with colleagues. The café was quiet and relaxing. Service was slightly stilted but friendly and no problems. WiFi was reliable. I had a salmon, avocado and mango salsa sandwich which was really tasty.
C. B.
Went for afternoon tea. We were a little disappointed that we got 4 small sandwiches each on plate rather than having them on a stand. Everything was very nice but we did have to ask for more drinks rather than being offered them. We were the only ones in the restaurant at the time so no excuse really for not being attentive!
D. D.
Room and bathroom was very clean. Comfy bed. Had a lovely breakfast. Staff in restaurant were helpful and friendly. Great location.
S. E.
Very nice location. Clean spacious rooms with all facilities you need. A charged mobile phone for your use. Good breakfast.
C. C.
Went to an event at the Belmont organised by myself and others for around 100 people, and everyone had a wonderful evening. Lovely location on London Road, the staff were very helpful, the food was lovely, prices reasonable compared to other such venues in the city, and the hotel made a gorgeous venue for our guests.
K. B.
Staff were excellent, room was clean with nice toiletries/drinks etc. Overall a good experience, but over priced for size of room/quality of food in restaurant. Could also do with a freshen up with regards to decor.
M. S.
Great location for local attractions and music venues. Food was good. Staff as friendly and helpful. Car parking is a issue. Overall a good stay. Cheers.
P. R.
lovely rooms, food ok but a wee bit pricey, plenty of excellent food outlets nearby. Absolute daylight robbery for a lime and soda though - £2!! didn't drink anymore after that.
p. v.
Lovely function room and great food. They presented lovely veggie food that was order to my diet requirements. Easy access. Bar and rooms to stay.
T. A.
The Belmont Hotel is a fabulous 4* hotel which is located in a lovely area near to Leicester City centre. The rooms are immaculate and the staff very professional but friendly. Jamie's bar is great for light meals. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!
M. H.
Great Hotel, nice room..
Great location for center & restaurants
j. w.
Beautiful hotel and great staff, however, i paid premium rate for upgraded room and it was tiny! Didn't stop us enjoying our weekend though.
P. L.
Came to the hotel last night for a hen night, we were made most welcome by the wonderful staff and my compliments to the chef for the excellent meal we received. All in all a lovely hotel, which I would recommend for any special event l !!

Stayed Sat 06/10/18 such value for money Excellent evening meal in restaurant served by the most amazing young lady A real star The hotel is staffed by delightful folk in every department They should patent their methods of achieving such high standards of such pleasant service. Thank you
J. B.
Went to have afternoon tea with a group of colleges, a retirement and baby shower. Had a thoroughly good time. Service was excellent Would recommend this hotel for afternoon tea 😊😊
L. R.
Friendly, helpful staff. The rooms could do with being updated - the mattress on my twin bed was very saggy. In the heat of summer the ruins are very hot and stuffy.
j. b.
Location is good, close to shops, bars and city centre. The rooms were very hot at night with no fans available. The food served in the morning was below par for the additional 10 pounds paid for it
L. M.
Very welcoming and accommodating staff, lovely room, nice and quiet with a delicious breakfast in the morning. I would definately stay at this hotel again.
R. K.
Fantastic hotel the Belmont. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, Our room was well presented and the bed was just wonderful to sleep in and the breakfast was tasty, wholesome and very well presented and we will definitely stay there again.
M. F.
Fantastic staff very friendly beautiful hotel.
H. T.
Attended a large Xmas dinner event. Venue, food and food service were great, however bar was ridiculously understaffed at start. Same problem every year, but they don't seem to be bothered to change anything.

Staff: nice
Location: amazing
Cleanliness: good
Value for money: acceptable
Overall a comfy option if you wanna be at the heart of the city
Rooms are not exactly huge, but will do the job for a short stay in town.
C. E.
All day Board meeting in The Orange room.
All good - quiet room, reasonable WiFi, windows that opened.
Bacon rolls were cold - the bread felt as if it had just been taken out of the fridge.
M. W.
Really nice hotel, the room was lovely and clean and I had a great nights sleep! Good value for money! Only thing I struggled with was the WiFi!
K. H.
Great family space themed room and lovely shower. A few stairs to negotiate with luggage. Breakfast was fantastic
V. H.
Pleasant room, good shower, only issue was it got a little too warm for me I needed the window open constantly and there can be a lot of noise from students walking through the park.
c. d.
Went here for an afternoon tea, clean venue, good service, reasonable food, decor & some furniture was a bit tired & possibly in need of replacement but one of the few places to get an afternoon tea in Leicester.
R. W.
Comfy room, good night's sleep, friendly, well stocked bar. Very efficient reception. Great breakfast. Good location.

D. M.
Nice hotel. Conveniently located near the station, and the rooms are nice to return to after a long day. Can't comment on breakfast, but bar and food are both good.
T. B.
Lovely hotel that's like the Tardis inside. It looks like a small guest house from the front but is like a maze of rooms and hallways inside. Very friendly staff, nice food and great room service.
J. B.
Have dinner here - the chef is amazing. Never mind it's a great place to stay - easy walk to the train - great location on New Walk to walk to the city centre.
D. M.
Hotel was nice enough although the drinks were a little overpriced. Event finished at 12am and staff were quickly trying to kick people out which was a bit of a shame.
s. r.
Really enjoyed our stay, large room and bathroom, nicely decorated, only downside that toiletries were missing from the bathroom. Buffet breakfast adequate.
J. P.
Very pictures hotel situated in one of Leicesters most historical walks..

Nice meeting room and a lovely lunch, but tea in takeaway cups was a bit odd. Overall, I'd use them again for a meeting.
B. B.
Generally good but afternoon tea wasn't as high a standard as I expected.
For example, the table was laid but tea wasn't served in teapots.
A. P.
Well placed for the city centre, 5 minute walk. Great price, excellent value for money. Great breakfast
G. A.
Traditional hotel . Never stayed there, just used lounges & bars, food & service very good & free city centre parking.

N. S.
Very nice hotel, clean room, good breakfast, would definitely stay here again.
S. B.
Lovely hotel BUT don't order the cream tea - the time I was kept waiting for the scone to arrive said it all - I think the staff had nipped down the road to the Tesco express and purchased the scone, very surprised in that they must have qualified caterers on site who should be able to produce a reason, fresh 'proper scone'
S. G.
Great hotel. Good value and close to the city centre. Nice walk down New Walk past the museum.
D. W.
Decent quiet rooms and nicely sized too. Food is good at the restaurant with a decent chef.
