Amazing hotel. We stayed in a deluxe family room and it was excellent. Good size room for our family to spread out in. 2 TVs was an added bonus. Staff were really helpful and catered for all our needs. Hotel is in a good location for exploring that part of London and with 2 tube stations a couple of minutes away if you want to go further afield. Definitely recommend it.

After a hiatus of some years (through no fault of Apex) we booked a recent offer on travelzoo and spent two wonderful nights here. The hotel is as smart, friendly, welcoming, comfortable, intimate and relaxing as it always has been. It’s a hidden gem; off the beaten track and away from the chaos of London but so well connected by tube, rail and foot that it makes it an excellent place to stay in London. We won’t leave it so long till the next time!

Nice and clean rooms.
Staff was very helpful. Since we got there early we were able to do the Checkin right away (although the rooms weren’t available yet) and storage our luggage.
After a day of exploring the city we quickly got our keys and luggage and went straight to our rooms.

A splendid hotel in a quote neighborhood.
The rooms are large and comfortable, the showers are also large and clean. The service was good for my two nights stay.
The bar made some amazing cocktails. WiFi is very fast.
The only small issue I have was being asked to leave the restaurant area after 1am-ish, but I guess that's acceptable.
Overall a very good stay!

Lovely hotel but lacked amenities in the room. We had no tea or coffee making facilities and the room was quite small

Extremely nice boutique hotel. The room I had was spacious and nicely appointed. The complimentary snacks were a nice surprise and other snacks were available for purchase. The food from the restaurant was delicious. And to top it off, a cute rubber duck to take home. The Tower of London is super close as is the Tower tube station and the financial district is a short walk away, making it convenient for business trips.

Upgraded me free of charge and included a £10 voucher to spend during my stay. Room was clean and tidy, service was friendly and helpful. Location is also absolutely perfect for business and tourists. Please note though, that the hotel does have a corporate business feel to it.

Very nice, clean and quiet hotel! Amazing food from the restaurant. Not a downside, but there is a Church adjacent to the hotel that can be a little loud with the bells. But they stop I think by 8:00pm. It only adds to the experience though!! Also front desk staff are super helpful and friendly!! I highly recommend!!

A hotel located near to the Tower Hill tube station, modern designed, looking really good, the room was great I had a big queen sized bed that was really comfortable. It was really quiet and I could sleep really well. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The breakfast was great and I was full and satisfied until after lunch time. I would love to have vegetables for breakfast that was missing.

First time visiting this hotel and it is extremely nice. Staff is super friendly and ensures that you are taken care off. If you visit the bar area, every couple of months they come up with some extremely good drinks that you won't find anywhere else. Biggest debate is and it's still not solved, if Carlo or Riccardo (Ricky) makes better beverages. I would definitely visit again.

Excellent location and the standard of the rooms are excellent... however, just triple check you get what you reserved. We had reserved a room that was listed as having a sofa... we needed one as bringing a 4 year old so we were going to be sitting in every night. Checked with hotel that room had a seating area/sofa and had it confirmed. Got to the hotel and no... no seating area and the picture in my reservation that showed a sofa was just "a room." Pretty disappointed but hotel was fully booked so we had to make it work.

lovely hotel and staff, breakfast was superb. will stay here again for sure.

Bit of a false start at this hotel, being woken early hours by mistaken wake up calls, and noise from other guests. Rooms are not well soundproofed and not helped by significant building work taking place next to the hotel (there was no mention of this at the time of booking).
Reception area is straight in off the street and nothing special. Likewise the checking in process. Having said that I got moved on the second night to a better room, beautifully quiet, and good facilities so customer service is good. Food is fine, usual hotel prices.

My recent stay at the Apex City of London was AWESOME!! The proximity to Tower of London and Tower Bridge was cool as these were the highlights of my trip. Customer service was excellent. W hen staff member rush to help you carry your luggage up the five steps to reception the moment you walk in, I knew I was going to be all right. The room was large and comfy. Although there was a bit of noise, it didn’t last all night. Breakfast was okay, but I think it could be much better for the price. Dinner was okay. Overall, a very relaxing stay. And love adding Edwin to my family.

Great location right near the London Tower and Tower Bridge. The ambiance of the hotel is quite nice, but the room interior is not as nice. There's nothing wrong with it, but it could use a paint coat and perhaps some refinishing for the sinks and tubs. Despite the great location, our room has no real view of anything other than any office building. The hotel staff has been nice and they've been quick to accommodate any requests we've had (namely for extra towels).

Generally a clean and nice hotel. Fairly close to public transportation. But they were a little disorganized. We were there 3 or 4 days. Our package included breakfast. They did not have it in their system. And it continued to be an issue till the last day. Everyday at breakfast they would have to verify. Got a little annoying. Rooms are clean and comfortable, nothing to brag about. Our room had been freshly painted and the paint and thinner smell was extremely strong. Toilet flush did not work well, had to be pushed very hard to flush which is something kids could not do. So all in all an average experience. Redeeming quality, nice staff. Nice waiters in the restaurant.

Lovely hotel with great amenities and in the middle of London. Very friendly and helpful staff which makes the stay a delight. The only flaw would be the early bar shutting time with no flexibility for residents to order a drink unless this is directly to the room however a minor detail in the grand scheme of things! Would stay again.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at the Apex City of London hotel. Fantastic room lots of lovely extras, including a "welcome back" note and some treats in our room on arrival.
Booked direct so a drink voucher too. Excellent breakfast, attentive staff, just a perfect stay. Special thanks to Carla who checked us in and out.

First impression is class and professionalism. As you approach the building, before you’ve even reached it... staff members are approaching to help. That style of courtesy is continued at reception, as they go out of their way to accommodate you, with whatever needs to be done, such as early check-in, free room upgrades when available. The lobby and lounge is got a chill vibe. I love the shower and it has decent water pressure, and amazing hot water 🚿 . WiFi is good and strong and I love that you just press connect and don’t need to log in with user name and password.

Second time visiting and the hotel was again a very pleasant experience. Staff is incredibly friendly and willing to help with anything. Very personal service. Rooms are nice and modern. I recommend eating breakfast at the hotel at least once!
J. B.
Nice hotel with a really good breakfast. Spent two nights here and it was really nice. The rooms are a little small but that's fine. Just a word of caution: nothing happens in this area on the weekends. Like it is truly dead. There are only like two restaurants open within a 10 minute walk. Other than that, it was a pretty good stay.
S. N.
Great hotel, within walking distance to the tower of London and Tower Bridge, staff are really friendly.

I've stayed in the other Apex hotels in London and I'm glad to say that this location maintains the excellence that I've come to expect.
Lovely staff, good location (for tourism this side of London - 5 mins walk from the circle/district line), great rooms and service and plenty of amenities. The attached bar & restaurant compliments the hotel by being equally brilliant.
It's a bit on the quiet side (city on weekends tends to be) and isn't surrounded by shopping (this side of London you aren't), but it's a massive step up from my experience in another hotel I stayed in this side of London about 6 weeks prior.
Overall no complaints and nothing but praise for this hotel. (Another review mentioned chargeable snacks not being clear. As of at least 17/05/19 there is a clear menu detailing complimentary snacks and prices for chargeables.)
H. A.
This is my first time in this hotel, Apex London city hotel , was really nice and clean room with all facilities we needed, friendly staff, and the location was good , a few minutes walk to tower bridge London. Would definitely come back.
Thank you 🙂👍
H. M.
Good and clean hotel. Rooms are big compared to other hotels in London. Bathroom has a bathtube and a shower. Good location if you do business in the city. Since one year the room rates have spiked and the value for money is no longer given.
V. W.
Very nice stay, a small issue but very professionaly resolved by manager on front desk. Lovely room, we've stayed in another Apex in London and we feel it is worth the slightly higher price bracket. Lovely rooms beautiful toiletries, clean, coffee and tea tray is well stocked and a little special. Oh and the duck theme...... Love it such a quirky idea. Off to Bath next we think.
J. L. D.
I spent 9 nights here. Rooms are clean and nice. I stayed in the regular room and the deluxe (which is awesome). The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is very good and the gym is better than your standard hotel gym. As for the location, it's near Tower Hill so it gets very quiet at night but it's very close to the tube station so you can get anywhere. I was here for business so it was nice to be able to walk to work. I find the beds to be very comfortable and I love the pillows!
R. T.
Outstanding customer service, can't think when I last encountered staff as friendly, efficient and keen to help/please. This level of service is what sets this place apart. The hotel is lovely, very clean comfortable and contemporary. Great location, just moments from the tube, the tower of London and tower bridge. Highly recommended hotel !

What an amazing hotel. We stayed here for our 4 days in London and would come back here on our next visit. We thought the location was great close to a lot of the attractions and close to the metro to make it an easy commute to those that were a bit longer to get to. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean which is the main thing for us. The rooms are not huge, but they are comfortable, clean and provide amazing service.
G. A.
Walking distance from Tower Hill metro station with Circle and District lines which made transport from LHR airport simple.
Twin room was comfortable and affordable considering the location.
It's so close to the Tower Bridge that we ended up visiting multiple times to appreciate it with different lighting 😎.
Staff was super friendly and allowed us to do a late check-out.
N. M.
Absolutely amazing hotel and we were kindly upgraded and were told any additional charges from items in the mini bar would be charged for (as usual in any hotel). We have stayed at Apex hotels several times now and there are snacks in the room with no costs associated to them (along with drinks such as tea, coffee etc.) and we were charged for snacks that were sat outside of the mini bar (no where near in fact). It would be helpful if there was a sign to show additional charges for items outside of the minibar so future guests don't leave with a sour taste in their mouth. The costs in our case we're not clear, or advertised. We had a lovely stay but we absolutely didn't expect to have additional charges from touching items away from the mini bar, all chargeable items should be kept together.
B. L.
Really friendly service. Great rooms, very clean and spacious. The free wifi was also very fast! I also had breakfast here and the food was delicious. Very close to a tube station and various tourist spots. I would absolutely stay here again.
R. K.
Near tube stations for easy transport all round London. Had lunch in hotel bar one day and it was really tasty. Staff very friendly everything very clean and smart. Very comfy beds and quiet rooms that were a good size. Fantastic shower. If im back in London i will stay here again.

Friendly 24hour reception, well equipped, spacious rooms with complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and snacks. Bathroom could benefit from some minor improvements and air con a little noisy at night. Over all very good over but no less than I would have expected In that price bracket.

We were stuck in London after our connecting flight to Barcelona was cancelled, so we didn't stay in London or the hotel long. The time we did stay was fantastic! The place was beautiful. The beds were perfect and the bath tub was a nice touch. There is a pub at the corner with cheap, good beer and awesome fish and chips.
B. L.
Only on day 1 of my stay, but this survey is forcing me to answer early. Room is nice, though bed is on the harder side which is common for hotels. Service was excellent. I was a to drop off my bag early and they took care of everything and called me when my room was available. Everything so far has gone great.
C. O.
This hotel is nice with a great location just 3 mins to the underground station (circle and district line), and 10 mins walk for a central line. And only 5 mins walk to reach the Tower of London. In term of service is excellent and friendly staff. Recommend for all to stay here. Breakfast also good as well.
J. M.
I stayed in the new wing (to the right of reception) and the room had a lounge area, large bathroom and bedroom. Well appointed and nothing was a problem for the staff. Gym was well equipped and clean. I forgot my toothbrush and reception brought one up within 15 mins.
H. C.
A very nice hotel with lovely staff. All the staff very friendly, and it is very well located for the tower of London. The bar is very nice, and has a suitable selection of drinks. There is a very nice All Bar One over the road that offers breakfast with a shot of smarties. Overall a nice place to stay!
A. B.
The common areas look a bit dated and so does their lift, but other than that, this hotel is really nice. I used to pay top dollar to the double tree next door. While their common areas are clean and rooms are decent, Apex scores well in terms of size of rooms, a large screen proper TV with great channels! They also have a decent breakfast. Decently priced and good amenities. Tip: ask for room facing the street. I stayed in room 201 and it was too quiet to my liking and no view really.
J. K.
First time staying in this hotel and it was a fantastic experience throughout. Staff were very friendly and went the extra mile. I can't wait to book this hotel again for my next trip to London.
T. M.
Excellent hotel ideally situated for Tower Bridge and Tower of London. Rooms are not very big but nothing is missing. Didn't have breakfast in hotel as we didn't want to be tied to any schedule. The staff were friendly and helpful on check-in and throughout our stay. Would highly recommend.
A. P.
This is a great Hotel in a wonderful location. Good sized rooms, super clean and nice staff for a reasonable price. I don't eat in British Hotels but I'm sure it's fine. Pleasant bar a bit pricey but with a voucher, the first beer is on the house.
T. M.
The rooms are fitted out and equipped in a modern ***ner. We arrived very early (10am) and to our surprise our room was ready. Breakfast was lovely too and we had a drink in the bar with a drink voucher that the reception staff gave us. Very much appreciated gesture.
E. P.
We spent two nights in this hotel. Hotel has a good location really close to Tower and City. Underground station is also just around the corner. The room was big enough and comfortable. There were couple of small negative things like the noise from the ventilation system outside or outdated bathroom, but it's not that dramatic. Special thanks for a big bed with one mattress and one big blanket!:)
P. P.
Good location near tube. Currently having the restaurant updated but no noise from that. Some noise from work on the new hotel over the road though. Great staff lovely rooms. just wish they had lighter duvets in the summer as even with the aircon on at night its easy to overheat in bed.
A. R.
Clean and tidy, nothing too flash but conveniently located for what we were doing. Paid for an upgraded room through expedia which I'm not sure we got despite asking. If we did get the upgrade it was really not worth it!
T. M.
We received a very warm welcome when we arrived. Upon arrival at the hotel we received a complimentary upgrade to a Superior room. Breakfast was very good as I had the possibility to order included in the price. We would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in London.
M.
A place to comeback. At this hotel you are really getting what you paid for and a bit more. The reception when checking in was already perfect: friendly, helpful and cheerful. Felt good instantly. Every interaction with staff was like that.
The room was elegant and modern. Very nice bathroom. Curtesy water bottles were offered daily. Room maintenance as you would expect. The WiFi was excellent, better than at home;-).
The restaurant served very good food with equally friendly service. Glad I had one dinner here.
The location is a few minutes from Tower Hill tube. Nice when you are getting back later at night.
-- UPDATE 17.11.2018
I have been here before and that's why I came back. Due to my high expectations from that first experience, I got a little bit disappointed. It is still a good hotel, and if I came back for work I would definitively stay here again. For leisure, I took bus or the Underground to get here. It is conveniently situated in the business district. This means on weekends the neighbour is on the quiet side and many places not open for a snack.
Probably I was lucky the first time because this time the room was a bit less glamorous, although it was nice enough and everything is there - complementary water bottles - a nice gesture. And what bothered me was that the A/C did not regulate the temperature - I found the room too cool for winter. I should have asked, but was already too tired ;-).
Personally what pulled my rating down was mostly the price, which I found a bit pricey. The big plus is the restaurant The Lampery where you get a good breakfast and great dinners.
果.
We stayed here for two nights whilst in London to celebrate my friends 30th birthday. The hotel was first class from beginning to end. The reception staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, the rooms were great and very comfortable (most comfortable pillows ever!) and to top it off they left a plate of cakes in the room to say Happy...
E. F.
Had trouble finding it and was virtually standing outside but no signage visible from that direction. Went in to ask directions only to find it was the Apex.
Once in, we received lovely welcome, and an upgrade :). We were in the new wing so everything band new. Rooms very tastefully decorated. Bathroom well equipped with large shower unit and a bath. Coffee machine (nespresso) and tea and coffee making facilities. Bed and pillows (feather) extremely comfy.
Lovely view of the (very near) neighbouring office block so no privacy but as we were only in town for a concert it did not present a problem but with baring in mind if you're there during the working week.
All in all a very pleasant stay. Thank you.
M. P.
Hotel is very well situated in the City and close to the Tower of London. We stayed during the week into a weekend and the vibe changed from a hardcore business hotel during the week to a more laid back tourist friendly hotel on Saturday/Sunday.
Check-in was a bit crazy but the staff were efficient. One of our party hung out in the lobby while waiting for the other to complete a meeting and was made at home by the staff.
Only real issue was with the bar. Tried to go after a theatre show on a Saturday night and was told at about 11 that "we couldn't sit down because they were closing soon", when in actuality the staff didn't want to open the other section. We passed on sitting on top of the other two couples there and grabbed a bottle of wine and went back to the room. Small miss on an otherwise solid stay.
B. D.
Nice and comfortable, rooms are small but clean and efficient. Little noise around the hotel as well. Has a nice breakfast/bar area in the lobby, and 24hr room service. One awesome thing is that you can usually get a room checking in early, which is amazing for traveling on business.
T.
Amazing hotel. We stayed in room 710 which was a suite with a balcony. Overall hotel and staff are good however we had a terrible experience for breakfast. After waiting over 35minutes for our food we decided to up and leave. Staff didn't give any confidence that the food would arrive anytime soon so we decided to cut our losses and go somewhere local.
L. H.
Gotta love it when you get upgraded to a junior suite. They had a lovely view of the Tower of London. Close to the tube for quick traveling around London. The breakfast was great and my wife loved the chocolate croissant's. Staff was quick with coming to pickup luggage and parking was cheaper.
H. M.
Words cannot describe the experience the staff gave us! Clean rooms, the best staff, absolutely amazing!!! Would definitely recommend! Would definitely stay here again! I wish I could give a higher rating!
J. A.
Great stay, wonderful reception, the room was clean, spacious. we went for the deluxe room. Everything was perfect to be fair. Room service was great breakfast too.
R. S.
Great hotel for the price even better. London is expensive and hotels in particular. So it was for us a surprise that for the price we paid we got a superb room and the location was also great. Staff is also friendly and supporting. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will come again!
G. S.
Although the breakfast service can be a little bit frantic, the hotel staff is great about getting you what you need. It is in the business district of London, so for tourists it is a little bit of a walk, but it is great for a peaceful nights sleep. There are some Parks and a few different restaurants with in a few minutes walking distance and at least 2 Tube stations nearby.
R. S.
Nice hotel, but not with a warm ambiance. Rooms and lobby are functional and modern. Received an upgrade, which is always welcomed. Bathroom and amenities are good. Loved the room service!
V. J.
Could not fault this hotel. Staff friendly and give great advice on places to visit. Room clean, and wonderful sleep. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Would recommend
A. P.
Being near the City this is a business hotel but we stayed on a Saturday night after a party. It was very quiet. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the restaurant but the rest of the hotel was great. It was warm, quiet, clean and smart. Considering it's in central London where a Travelodge is well over £100 this was perfect for us.
S. S.
This is a well placed hotel, within 5 minutes of Tower Hill Tube station and 10 minutes from the Tower of London.
The rooms are large and spacious with a huge soft bed and desk/couch/tv.
The bathroom is beautiful with a lovely deep tub and amazing showers.
Well priced, it is luxury - without the usual London price tag.
D. P.
Very nice hotel - clean well designed room. Restaurant was good for evening meal and breakfast was good too. Very good location close to Tower Bridge, and a few minutes walk from Tower Hill tube station. Polite and helpful staff.
A. P. B.
Loved it! Vicky and team really made my stay welcome. I was given a wheelchair ♿ accessible room. I noticed that there was only one mirror but it's not wheelchair ♿ height. Surely people who use wheelchairs also want to see if they look ok? It's not very inclusive. That said it was clean and welcoming for non wheelchair users. Excellent Onsite restaurant too.
I. A.
Expensive but nice, the location is amazing if you want to visit the main attractions in London. The bed is very comfortable and the gift rubber ducky is a cute trinket that reminds me of my stay!Rooms were very clean and have every facility you may need (minus a toilet brush in the bathroom unfortunately), including shoe mitts, tea, bottled water, coffee, hot chocolate, electric kettle, clothes iron, pen & paper. The thermostat is particularly useful this time of year.
J. F.
Room excellent. Only negatives waitress poured my tea before it had brewed, and check your bill. Somehow I had been charged for two extra breakfasts.
C. L.
Really convenient to my offices, dry cleaning and pharmacy. Very spacious rooms and courteous staff. The pillows and bed were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.
T. M.
Easy to get to from Waterloo station. We arrived back at the hotel later to collect our room key and found our bags had been taken to our room ***** with a handwritten card and cakes for our anniversary which was such a lovely surprise. I very much enjoyed staying there.
G.
Excellent from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Junior suite was stunning. Couldn't believe how quiet the room was for a central London hotel.
Elemis toiletries, excellent staff and an Apex duck, what more could you ask for?
D. R.
Very smart and modern hotel with fantastic amenities, we stated for 2 nights and found the location ideal for visiting various London attractions like the tower or in a Belfast, the bar does amazing cocktails and the restaurant had a great vibe to it. With so much to do around it we never got the opportunity to visit the spa facilities, think we need another visit!
H. C.
Nice and friendly staff. We got an upgrade to a junior suite for a low extra (35£/night) which was really great. Spacious and clean. Breakfast was ok, the continental breakfast could have had more to choose from, but with a prebooked "full english breakfast" some extra bacon and eggs (some other to choose between) made it quite complete. Prebooking the breakfast was quite less expensive than buying it in the morning.
j.
nothing to worry about when you stay here. nice staff. only took a picture of the duck in the bathroom - really made me smile.
check-out was especially easy
M. B.
Well-equipped rooms and a brilliant location in the city of London. Right up against so St Olave''s church mentioned in Peyps' 1600s diary. Less than 5 min walk to Tower Hill underground. It's possible to get good prices off-peak days.
T. S.
Was an amazing experience, beautiful balcony views, professional and efficient staff, very quiet area. Was just bliss I couldn't have asked for a better room nor experience simply amazing. Bit pricy but worth the stay
T. M.
We've just returned from a fantastic stay at the Apex to celebrate a birthday weekend and have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. We were in a Junior Suite which was of excellent standars. The staff were very friendly and very …
C. B.
Check in was very smooth. My cousins luggage was misplaced and this really put a damper on our stay in London. The staff at the front desk were so helpful in trying to deal with the issue. Jesus, Kate and a third staff member were really great in trying to help us deal with this massive headache. The room is as a standard room would be, but what was really nice was that we had a door opening onto a terrace. Also our tv had so many channels and my parents who were staying down the street at the Novotel and barely had any channels. The room service was good too, had the fries and ribeye steak which I loved. Also had a bacon, lettuce and tomatoe sandwich on brown bread which I did not enjoy but because there were some things going on in the kitchen there was a limited menu for the night. The hotel staff were also able to give us an adapter as well which was great.
D. S.
Noce, clean, modern hotel. Very comfy beds
C. B.
Very comfortable, spacious and clean room. Liked the bed. Bathroom really good too, good shower and bath. Convenient location. Didn't eat here, but drinks in the bar were also good. No views though.
C. S.
The price and location are fantastic, coupled with the very high quality of the room. Huge bathroom with loads of amenities and a large bedroom with modern and comfortable features. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
M. K.
Great hotel in a great spot.
It's near the Tower of London and near the Towerbridge. Public Transport is close by as well.
The rooms are spacious and clean. The bed is wonderful.
You can have a lovely breakfast in the hotel of just at the end of the street at a Pret-a-Manger. Both options are very good.
When we'll return to London, we will definitely stay here again.
M. B.
The bath in the room was definitely the highlight of our stay here. After long days of sightseeing and walking many miles, we really enjoyed soaking in the tub while sipping tea.
L. B.
Really helpful staff, fresh looking hotel, modern rooms. The restaurant food was great. Wish there was more light but apart from that, great place
G. V.
Stayed at Apex City of London for three nights through hotwire. Great stay for the discounted price. The entire staff has been very pleasant and hardworking and the room is clean. About a block from the Tower of London on a quiet side street so the location is fantastic. Would definitely recommend the hotel.
F. C.
True 4 stars hotel. Great value for money. Staff was very kind, rooms are quite large and very clean. Excellent location close to underground station and Tower of London. I definitely recommend it although breakfast service is messy and needs to be improved.
J. O.
Worth the money. Exceptional stay on a stressful day with accommodation issues elsewhere. The food is very nice, rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped, including Sky TV. Great location too for navigating around London.
J. V.
Beautiful hotel with an amazing restaurant and really welcoming staff on the front desk. Decor and style of the hotel has a very modern day feel about the place as well as consistent design with a relaxing lobby area makes this place stand out.
B. N.
All in all this hotel offers good value for money.
+ friendly staff
+ modern facilities
+ good location ( close to tube and tower bridge)
+ fitness facilities
- room was very dusty (we to request additional cleaning)
- bathroom tiles on the floor loose with sharp edges
- clearaudient...we had lots of noise from other showers, walking above, etc
R. J.
Nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms are equipped well. Minor issue - had to connect the Bose Soundsystem in order to hear the TV. It was completely disconnected. This shouldn't happen in a hotel in this price category.
S. “. W.
Went for job interview - seems like a wonderful place to work
D. N.
King mattress is two twins smooshed together, no power outlets by the night stands on either side (at all). Poor TV service, walls are not all that soundproof. Overall, not a very good value.
D. W.
Very friendly and helpful staff - nothing is too much for them. Continental breakfast is lovely. Room is very comfortable and quiet.
T. M.
The British slang for something wonderful is ""corker"" and this place is wonderful. The room was very clean and neat. Every time you remove the room key the air conditioning resets to the default temperature (23 degrees) which is actually quite annoying because you only realise after the room has heated up.
S. B.
One the best hotels I've stayed in. Beautiful decorated and furnished. Staff were attentive and professional. Would stay again and highly recommend
J. S.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The room is very clean, and fastidiously kept from night to night. They will sell you a travel converter for 5 quid so take advantage of that. Good location, very quiet.
I. N.
simply the best hotel ever
congrats for everything, its the 5th time that i've been to your hotel with my daughter and i want to thank you.The room 623 was really clean and ideal for our needs. The mattress was so comfy and the 2 different pilows(soft & hard) make the difference. The 42 inch samsung with the cable tv(sky channels) was awesome.Alex-duty manager you are really good ,thanks for the surprise.
A. Ö. V.
Very good hotel with nice rooms. I love the big screen TV and sofa. Great housekeeping services. Breakfast is good but the continental buffet could be better.
P. A.
WHAT'S NOT TOO LIKE....
So pleased this will be my first review in 2017.
I'd never stayed in an Apex Hotel before so didn't have any pre-expectations.
But upon arrival, everything started well and improved from there.
I should start off by saying this was a treat purchased for me, as my Very Late Christmas Party was on that night and a friend needed to keep a discount going by purchasing a hotel room by the end of the week.
I only mention this, to let you know that it would be have been very easy to have ruined this generosity and the hotel didn't on any count.
The night's cost was £93.00 without breakfast. Whilst that may border on the steep side, it's location near the Tower Hill Tube and by definition the Tower of London should be kept in mind.
The entrance was welcoming in it's architecture (it is slightly off the beaten track on Seething Lane - so avoid Google Maps for this one and just follow a traditional map) but it was the staff that were truly superb.
No deposit on credit cards to try and reclaim later in this Hotel, here you can lay down a £25 cash-deposit that you can easily pick up at the end of your stay (less any incidentals you've charged to our room). This would garner this Hotel 4 stars alone.
But there's more. Free Wifi, should be a standard in all London Hotels but still I see some trying to charge either for a better connection or simply to get online.
But Free Sky Movies, was a genuine first for me. You're supplied with a pin with your door keycard folder which you simply enter when you find a film you like. Unlimited Sky Movies for the duration of your stay - you may not wish to leave your room.
I was only here for one night, checked in at 4pm had just enough time to ablute before rushing out at 17:00 to get to Piccadilly Circus (35 minutes away - walk to Tower Hill Tube station take District Line Tube to Embankment to change for the Bakerloo to Piccadilly Circus).
The power of the shower was perfectly adequate (though would have preferred a bit more of a blast), but the bathroom clean, the free rubber duck a lovely touch for those with families (you get to take it with you to take picture of it in strange and fun places - think about the film Amelie & The Gnome) and nicely presented and quality towel and Elemis bath products.
I discovered they offer Free Hot Chocolate as part of their Free tea & coffee offering. Again, a massive rarity in this city.
I returned in the early hour of the morning and asked the lovely receptionist (whose name sadly I didn't catch as she certainly deserves a name check here), if I could get the receipt for my cash deposit I forgot earlier and if I could get a replenish of my biscuits and chocolate having consumed mine earlier.
Not only did she get the receipt in seconds, she said she'd get a variety of packs of biscuits (chocolate, vanilla & ginger), Gourmet Jelly Beans, Pringles and the hot chocolate shortly.
She brought them herself in under 5 minutes and all complimentary.
Suddenly that £93 started to look like a real bargain.
The bed was that of a luxury rather than a mid range stay and I mentioned the FREE Sky Movies right - I wasn't rushing to get out from either the next morning.
Checking out at midday next morning was simple and efficient.
I obviously didn't have breakfast, but if it was anything like the rest of my stay I'm sure it would have been fantastic (just annoyed my friend hadn't included it - though didn't check what it would have cost as Hotel Breakfasts usually ridiculously overpriced).
If you're looking for a stay in Central London, with easy access to all the sights for budget money and a luxury stay - you won't go wrong here.
There's a reason it has 4 Stars Here!

Lovely service, great rooms, very good breakfast. Bathrooms were incredible. Not a good view out of the windows, but that didn't matter much.
F. F.
The amenities in the room were great. From coffee to hot chocolate to a tea kettle. Service was great, the staff the friendly. The location was nice for sightseeing and food.
G. R.
Nice room and friendly staff. The breakfast and 24 hour room service, while convenient, we're low on selection for the price. The location can't be beat and the front desk was very helpful. I would stay again.
R. B.
Apex City of London was great. It's about 2 blocks from the tower with plenty of shops and restaurants around. Rooms were clean and staff was extremely friendly. I don't have a single complaint about my 2 nights spent here.
P. A.
Lovely hotel. Very comfortable room , good
bed - no problems recommending the hotel at all. Would be happy to stay on next visit . Thank you
A. W.
Really spacious and comfortable room with lovely complimentary snacks, fantastic customer service and a brilliant breakfast. Lovely lounge and resteraubt decor. Had a really lovely stay
y.
We didn’t slept there. Just giving five stars because 2 receptionists helped us to find a room for a night, because our Gatwick Flight was cancelled. Appreciate it.
R. Z.
My favorite hotel in London. The room is impressive and so clean. The stuff is great and everything was just great! I highly recommend if you are in London.
J. S.
Nice accommodations yet tucked away in an alley. Beds quite uncomfortable and pillows mostly air, so struggled to get decent sleep. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
J. W.
You get what you pay for and the hotel is a bit higher than a regular hotel, but the service was outstanding! The room was clean and modern and the hotel was centrally located, literally 3 blocks from the Tower of London.
B. B.
Great hotel, extremely well priced
A. W.
Location is excelent, short walk to tube station, bus stops and the river. I even took cab from center but did not cost much.
Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful with good attitude. There was also small gym in the basement which I could refresh during my 5days stay. only a thing...tehy could have a small orientation to the room because I could not sort out how it turn on tv this time...could not bothered to call reception at late night for this. My room was modern, simple and nice and clean but a bit noise from upstaires. I could imagine what they were up to. I normally stay Apex hotel because value and design. I have stayed few times in Apex Temple Court, but I will stay here again next time.
A. B.
I stayed here for five nights and I though it was a great place. Great staff, great amenities, well decorated, clean, and has free internet. The bed was a bit hard, but that was the only complaint I had. With a underground day pass, the location was no problem.
A. L.
Friendly staff and clean rooms. Great location near Tower of London. Bathroom was small and nowhere to put things. Better breakfast options nearby rather than the hotel.
A. T.
Very nice hotel. Rooms were reasonable, clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Would stay here again.
A. H.
Very convenient and great commuting area. Staff very friendly. I felt like a celebrity in this hotel.
C. B.
Right next to Tower Hill, with plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants nearby. Good, clean rooms. Our room had a view over a church yard. Room service good but pricy. Generally would recommend for those with a good budget.
L. H.
Got a superior double room for three nights at a discounted rate on agoda. The room was modern and had a large couch and TV. The bathroom was nice and bright with a big bathtub. The location is perfect. Tower Hill station (about a 3 minute walk) is on the district and circle line so it is easy to connect to main attractions like Westminster and all that is close by. We could see the Tower of London from our window it was so close. It was nice to walk along the Thames. Borough market, Millennium Bridge, Shakespears globe, St. Pauls, and the Tate Modern are all within about a 25 minute walk. The hotel was great, at night that part of the city dies a bit though, but there are lots of restaurants nearby and a Pret a stones throw away for a light breakfast in the morning.
S. S.
Nice hotel with lovely service. A little bit out of the way if you're coming here for tourism but close to public transport. Comfortable beds.
A. L.
Good location close to the tower of london and 20 minutes walk to covent garden. The rooms are well cleaned and good. The best part is the service wich is amazing. Everyone greets you with a smile and are very helpful.
P. S.
Excellent modern hotel in a nice part of central London. It's within 5mins walk of the Tower of London, underground and DLR.
Staff are friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
R. C.
Staff are very friendly and helped us find our way around. The room was clean and bigger than what I was expecting. Will definitely stay here again!
D. F.
Place is neat and comfy. They allowed me to check in very early, what was very much appreciated as my flight arrived 4am. Great location.
T. M.
The hotel staff dealt with our little mishap very quickly and efficiently. Hotel was noticeably very clean in all areas. The Apex is extremely well located close to the Tower of London and Tower Hill tube station. Right next to the Tower of London and right next door to the tube station.
M. B.
Nice hotel, good location. Spacious, renovated and clean rooms. Make sure your invoice contains the details as requested when checking in.
B. C.
A wonderfully considered hotel with pleasant communal areas, a thirst quenching cocktail bar and a restaurant with fantastic service. Our only thought was that the vegetarian options were a little limited at dinner.
They do a free DVD service, will deliver a Bloody Mary to your bedside table and in the morning provide you with an Eggs Benedict that is not only sizeable but deliciously tasty.

The staff was hard to understand. Employees only spoke broken English. None were from UK. Room was not ready when we got there. Rooms were small and stuffy. Location was great for our event. Good food.
R. A.
Decent hotel, good staff and nice rooms. Very well located too
K. N.
This is a really nice hotel, just 10 min walk from Tower Bridge and Tower of London. Clean rooms, nice bathroom, super comfy beed and really good wifi. Alot of good places to eat around the corner. Short walk to the tube.
B. C.
The rooms are clean and well set up. The room service is also very prompt. Plus, its location so close to the train station in very convenient.
P. S.
If it were not the cap of a bottle left uncleaned on the floor when we checked in the room I would have given full marks. Nice room, decor and great location and services in general.
M. F.
Spacious nicely decorated rooms with both shower & bathtub in the same bathroom, stuff very helpful, room attendants keep refilling free bottles of water & snacks few times a day
J. P.
Fantastic hotel. Very clean, spacious rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Very convenient location.
D. W.
Contemporary hotel. Have stayed at their Temple Court Hotel previously which is closer to Leicester Square and the West End. However, if you enjoy walking this is still a good location or get the bus nearby.
A. M.
Clean rooms, great staff! Very nice location near the tube. Dining here was a bit pricy, though. Better places to eat.
M. C.
Your hotel is one of my preferred spots in this place for several reasons: the chill, laid back vibe, the overwhelming jukebox, the outrageous plate of french fries and 5 dipping sauces for eight bucks, ladder golf outside when weather permits, and the bartender that will hook you up with PBR pounder and a shot of Beam if you request. Some nights it's nice-lookingsilent, some nights it's packed. I've not ever had a wicked time here.
J. F.
To say the Location is phenomenal will be an understatement. But in every other regard it's lacking. Service, food room quality. Not to say that it's bad but a little improvement in those fields will make it a stellar place.
E. G.
Good business hotel with excellent service and fast Internet connection. Big bathroom, clean rooms, walking distance to the city. What more to ask for? Will stay again
N. R.
Brilliant location, friendly staff, nice big rooms. Requested a room with a bath and got one. Stayed before and will stay again.
R. B.
Great hotel tucked away but quality stay and room upgrade for booking direct within walking distance of the tower of London and the beautiful Southbank and yummy Borough market.
A. B.
Very nice hotel. We got the upgrade, bathroom was amazing but hoped the room would be bigger
H. C.
We stay at Apex regularly, the rooms are a good size, clean with a big comfy bed and usually a shower and a big separate bath.
B. “.
Really nice hotel in a very handy location, breakfast was super and the room was top notch
M. B.
Great hotel. The rooms had excellent air conditioning which can be a rare find in Britain.
S. C.
Really liked my room here. Very friendly staff and will go out of there way for you. Recommended.

The room is very confortable and the breakfast is delicious. I stayed only 1 night and did not use the spa or other services.
P. G.
Best hotel! Nice and clean rooms. I certainly came back if i return again in london.
A. J. K.
Perfect location with nice bar&restaurant. Stayed here for almost a week and our room was very tidy every day
j. c.
Although nice looking place the room was very hot and couldn't control the temperature ..and like most hotels now couldn't open a window.
M. R.
Extremely nice, clean, and with excellent facilities. The location is near the Tower Bridge and Tower Of London, on a quiet side street. The staff was exceptional.
W. S.

True 4 stars hotel. Great value for money. Staff was very kind, rooms are quite large and very clean. Excellent location close to underground station and Tower of London. I definitely recommend it although breakfast service is messy and needs to be improved.

R. J.
Nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms are equipped well. Minor issue - had to connect the Bose Soundsystem in order to hear the TV. It was completely disconnected. This shouldn't happen in a hotel in this price category.
P. J.
Wonderful staff. Very pleasant restaurant for a City hotel. Recommend breakfast.
L. C. (.
Fantastic hotel, rooms are cozy and big. Nice bath and shower. Close to tower of London and very close to the tube tower hill
