Very pleasant stay here. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, bathroom facilities were all in perfect working order.
The hotel is not offering dining facilities yet, but does have a bar which offers hot drinks too.
There is secure parking on site which is chargeable by the hour, or 24 hour period.
I would stay here again, and found it good value for money.

Requested a well-lit big room for my wife who is visually impaired and they were very accommodating, our party also needed a room to get changed in and allowed us to check in early. Lovely room and colour scheme, shower was amazing! Would stay here again 👍 :) x

I really enjoyed my stay here, honestly wanted to stay longer than the 4 days I stayed. The hotel has a good location - it's close to the bus station, restaurants and a big Sainsburys which is a few minutes walk from it.
The hotel provides parking although I did not need it. I booked a room with a double bed and it comes with a TV as well. The room was quaint and neat, lots of towels provided, and it had air conditioning which was crucial for the hot weather. The bathroom was a very good size, honestly I think it was my favourite part of the room. I loved the design and colour of the room, I suppose it has something to do with the history of the area (as an aspiring architect, I enjoy these little details).
I think the interior of the hotel is wonderfully decorated and contrasts with the exterior though. From the outside, you'd think something completely different, however when you go in, it's decent. Within the hotel, a vending machine for bottled water and snacks is provided. There was also a microwave located in the lobby of the reception which I wished I knew earlier (so take note in case you're on a budget and don't want to spend lots of money on takeout).
The service I received was great - I lost my oyster card on the hotel premises, and the reception called me when it had been found. They were also willing to keep my luggage for me after I checked out. If I ever need to come back to London, I will be looking to stay here again.

The Hotel was convenient and clean there was a wait to check in and we had to wait an hour for our room as it was not ready. It was hard to get information from staff, but we put this down to them being busy. Room was very clean with no issues. The window was unable to be opened, but there was Air-Con which worked well. Breakfast was a grab and go bag which had sandwiches apple orange juice and pastries in and a blueberry muffin. There is a car park, but we didn’t make use of it.

This hotel unfortunately is not up to scratch. The first room I had was dusty and had a broken bed, the second hadn't been cleaned properly with half eaten pizza boxes left by the door inside the room. There were works underway when I visited and no attempt was being made to ensure dust from this wasn't spreading around the hotel as the doors were propped open into the adjoining corridor. Each morning I left for work I had dust on my uniform from the stairs. The staff who I spoke to were helpful though.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable plus had AC and a smart TV, free WiFi, ample parking, great location.
There are ongoing building works but they had no affect on our stay.
Would definitely come back.

Unsure of other customers comments about parking, yes it's tight nd I first come first serve but what do you expect in London? I think these comments are unfair. Rooms are always clean and comfy. Yes they are small but again this is reflected in the value. I've always been happy with my stays I've stayed alot over the last tow years. Bathrooms are cleans. Decors lovely. Staff are always very friendly. Breakfast is great too. I think some people expect unrealistic things from this hotel and should take into account how cheap it is to stay here before they slate it.
F. B.
Bathroom is very crammed, towels worn, TV remote didn't work, WiFi was rubbish, double bed had a sink in it, single bed could feel the springs.
Overall the room was clean and had just been refurbished. The reception staff were very helpful and polite. The two different security guards were also very polite and friendly
B. T.
Decent hotel for our purposes of a concert at Crystal Palace. Clean, fresh and spacious room and good service from Zohail on reception despite our room being ready late. Comfy bed and decent shower. Very good!
M. J.
Small but decently equipped bedroom and en-suite. Big TV, possibly too big for room. Take slippers as vinyl flooring was very cold. Only hotel I have stayed in recently that provided a couple of microwaves in lobby for guests, as restaurants not able to be open due to Covid. Would return
H. A. K.
Although the stressful time in being evacuated due to the decision taken by the owners of the hotel,
A special mention to Manuela and staff who were incredibly supportive! You guys are awesome!

Overall a good clean hotel was a very good stay the bed was so comfortable the room was very nice with great value for money although we had a superior room for the night as it was a super spontaneous last minute booking so only need one bed and got three but was amazing value for money but decided to pay for a late checkout which was an extra £10 an hour which total to £30 but didn’t mind as was able to lay in but was woken by someone from reception asking to do some checks in the room and that it won’t take long I then explained that i paid for a later checkout and if he could come back later which he agreed to but annoying that there was a lack of communication between the colleagues.
D. E.
I found out that the higher your room number is the worst the room will be, I was in room 710 and it was not nice at all, shower hardly worked either rlly warm or rlly cold, toilet lock broken, curtains that cover 60% of the window I only stayed because I had a concert at Crystal place park, and that’s why I’m rating it 3 stars for pure convenience, but you might get lucky and have a good room
B. G.
We booked three twin rooms at late notice on the same night. They were clean and comfortable. We had tiny flies in one of the rooms, but after killing them all it was fine. It was lovely to have tea/coffee making facilities and shower gel, as we were not expected to stay overnight. Good value for money and will be booking to stay there next month and will choose BW for future visits. Thank you 😊
L. W.
It was fine. Check in was painless. Room was basic but clean. Shower was very good. Not bad for £60 for a twin room.
M. J.
Not as bad as other reviews make out. Large spacious clean room with excellent air conditioning. I would stay again and at £40 a bargain.
S. C.
Lots of improvements happening, luck of the draw which room you get! Perhaps stay in a lower number? Had room 716, needed a refresh and then room 018, very nice
c. w.
Excellent hotel. Room was clean and large with spotless bedding. Staff were very friendly and the front desk reception was very helpful and obliging. Full English breakfast at £8.65 was a bargain with lots of choice and no limit on what was available. Limited parking at £10 per day was excellent considering the amount of traffic in the area and scarcity of other parking areas close at hand
K. L.
Stayed here for 4 nights and had no issues. The receptionists dealing with us were very friendly. Room was small but cozy and clean. Water pressure in shower wasn't fantastic but we were still able to shower. We didn't check out the bar or restaurant. Overall a pleasant stay and we'll probably stay again if in the area.
A. M.
Good hotel in a good location but rooms need some attention not checked properly we had to change rooms. The reception and manager was helpful and quick resolve our issues.
P. L.
For this price it's well worth it, rooms are a bit small and booking system not the most convenient from website, location is far from centre with avarage public transport connection, but again for this price I can overlook all those points.
D. M.
Room was set up for 1,1 cup and 1 big towel, AC seemed louder than normal but the bed was comfortable and did sleep well, the hotel has a special meaning to us and we will be back in the not to distant future
T. M.
The hotel location is very nice it is on a hill and you can see london from it and it is near to city center about 40 mins by bus. The room is small but it is ok for one person but you need to bring with you slippers, toothbrush and tooth …
C.
I had a double room, it was very clean & comfortable although a little bit on the small side, if you like space do not share I did with a friend, room was modern. The reception was under some sort of renovation which should have mentioned prior to booking but it wasn't big deal. The reception staff were friendly & it was easy to check in & out. I drove to hotel & was a little worried about parking from previous reviews, however I parked across the road in a free bay for the night. There are shops 5 mins down the road with convenient stores & restaurants.
M. M. (.
This Hotel is very nice. The employees were very kind and helpful. One of them even changed our euros in pounds without any loss, thid was very nice. 5 minutes from the Hotel there is a big store, where you can get anything you want. There is also a bank. 10 Minutes from the Hotel there are two metro stations, from which you can drive easily to the city. Next to the Hotel is a beautiful park where we Used to picnic in the morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel
M. D. R.
The room is smaller than what was advertised, and there is no window. They don't change the mugs everyday, so we have to wash our own cups despite having nothing to do so. The receptionist was not smiling, and didn't offer us a map of the city. Else, the room is very clean, the neighborhood is nice, and the shower is hot enough!
K. P.
Hotel lovely and rooms very well furnished. The only bad points were wooden floors which mean you hear everyone moving up above you. And you need more staff, checking in took a long time and there is always a queue at reception. Other than that. Lovely place to stay
a. A.
Loved this Hotel. Reception staff friendly. We had the remodelled rooms. They were much nicer than we expected. We will definitely be staying there again.
M. L.
Not a bad hotel from the outside and reception. But rooms in the basement are not great, and had a nasty smell. Parking is very limited and £10 a night which is not to bad for London. They also apparently failed to cancel a booking dispute confirming they did to the 3rd party booking company. Not the usual best western experience unfortunately.
M. U.
Nice hotel, clean rooms. We had family room for 4 person and it was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff is quite nice but some are not very helpful because they didn't know f.ex. how to give directions to natural history museum. In general I have positive opinion on that place but DON'T buy breakfast it is not worth any money and in neighbourhood you have different restaurants and cafes with good food
G. B.
The hotel is nice, the room was large, spacious and clean with a decent size bathroom and shower.
There was a choice breakfasts on offer, being, grab and go, continental and full english at varying prices to suit your preference.
The full english includes the standard options and gives access to anything available. However, if you require vegetarian or gluten free options you need to request these from the waiting staff. The gf option seemed to be isolated to bread which seemed defrosted from the freezer so warm and served.
The hotel layout is a little obscure and the direction from the reception staff could be improved.
The reason i have given three stars and not four is because;
- on check in (0030hrs) the front desk operative was not very friendly and came across in a rude manner.
- on checkout day, (check out is at 1100hrs) the door to the room was knocked twice prior to 1100hrs to see why we hadn't left yet.
- parking is chargeable at £10 per day which we paid but on check out we had a notice on the car stating we have a £200 fine for not paying. Now, i wouldn't mind if we hadn't paid but we had and the carpark is also controlled entry so the hotel staff let us into the car park and the security guy checked against our room number on arrival that we had paid.
After speaking with Loredana (i think that's the correct spelling) at the front desk she just told us to forget about it and took the notice from us and said we would not be charged.
M. H.
Very nice hotel and quite reasonably priced too. The refurbished rooms look amazing! Very fresh and modern. The rooms are well sound proofed compared to other places I've been. The staff are friendly and the location is ideal for transport links. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
D. P.
Work in progress.. at present, It's still a bit of a work zone.
Fire alarm got us up at 12:30. That coincided with our phone going kaput which never was fixed. The manager said the alarm was from somebody's hot shower tripping the smoke alarm when they opened the bathroom door.
The TV is from some digital service that craps out pretty much about the time you've found something to watch. Supposed to to be just our room. You can't have a wash cloth, not even if you go to the front desk and ask.
The upper floors give a Black Mirror vibe.. Dim or off hallway lighting until you're actually under them and carpets installed by guys that don't do that for a living just say "creepy".
It's definitely not up to Best Western standards & I'm being generous with a 3 star. They'll get it right eventually.. 🤔 The staff does seem pretty good
M. S.
A very decent hotel with a decent breakfast. Rooms are clean and well kept. Pleased with our stay!
H. W.
After my original plan for accommodation fell through, this place was my back up plan. I arrived late at night, tired and harassed after booking online at the very last minute. I was given the key to a double room at the very bottom of the hotel. It's a pleasant enough room albeit a bit of a nightmare to get to with bags and no lift access. There are lifts throughout the hotel though.
G. M.
Great location for a family visit. Check in was a bit slow but friendly staff. 87 year old was given a ground floor room which was excellent; our twin room was fine but oddly configured. But the best thing was the price - really good value for money.
C. R.
Just been refurbished and looking really good. Secure parking clean rooms and good bar with very well priced food. Great hotel
E. S.
Great building, extremely helpful staff, very clean rooms, comfy beds, and great prices. Excellent little stay for cheap. Right next to a great selection of diverse resturants. Has a great breakfast bar for cheap. Offers continental and full English. Tea and coffee provided, and has a few shops nearby.
J. A.
Overall nice experience. The hotel is being updated and the new updates look great. The older rooms are small and a little musty. But reasonable for the price. We paid for breakfast and dinner and both were great!
F. L. X.
It was okay, the new rooms were nice, but the hotel still has alot of rooms to do up. The bar was very limited. Nice staff, very helpful. Would stay again.
S. C.
Only stayed here due to great location as family lived nearby. Good transport. Beds are uncomfortable. 2 levels are below ground floor with no windows and small clostiphobia rooms. Breakfast costs too much, save ur money n go to local cafe. U get better breakfast far cheaper. Wifi never works. Parking cost £10 and ur not guaranteed a spot. Most spaces are taken up by Van's and hotel. Hotel is 4/10 parking -100/10 but location is 10/10.
Z. H.
For the price, it’s honestly really good. The rooms were clean and tidy. Staff were super friendly. The hotel itself is modern. Only downside was that we got a room -2 below ground with a tiny window that didn’t let in any sun. You may be able to avoid this if you ask front desk, we didn’t. The neighborhood is all suburb and pleasant during the day but I would recommend avoiding being out late at night. The closesT underground station is Brixton and it takes about 40min-1hr to get into central London. Buses are always around which was great. Uber costs around 17 pounds to get to Brixton station which is quite costly so the best way to go is public transport.
A.
Really cheap but the room was a decent size and clean, the air conditioning worked well, the bathroom was also large and clean. Didn't have breakfast but there are several reasonably priced options.
The windows do not open. Not even a crack.
E. T.
Had an absolutely lovely stay at this hotel, lady on reception was super friendly, our room was stunning and the bed was really comfy! It was a beautiful place and amazing value for money, would totally recommend!
S. H.
Memorable Stay helpful Staff
Really enjoyed our stay and staff were really helpful. First room was far from reception but staff immediately sorted it out. Room was clean with nice view from top. Thanks to the housekeeping for keeping our room tidy.
R. S.
It's a bog standard hotel. Needs some touch ups but it's fine for something cheap and clean. Would stay here again if I was in the area and on a budget.
N. K.
Very clean. Small rooms and sub standard cooked breakfast. Only choice for cooked breakfast is full English. Fried eggs hard, bacon tough and mushrooms must be tinned ( they would be better if they were tasteless).
P. H.
Good, cheap hotel, clean room but room was a little dated. Nice breakfast, friendly staff.
C. S.
amazing room if as long as you ask for one of the new rooms. Really good value for money and excellent service from the staff especially the dinning staff
S. M.
Stayed for a couple of nights. Works were going on when we entered the hotel and the room setup was confusing with rooms moved for refurbishment. The room we got was a refurbished one which was incredible if a little small. Very comfortable bed and a beautiful air conditioner. Breakfast was very nice and staff were friendly.
M. W.
Very basic but good value for money, just right for a quick stopover for Crystal Palace or south of London area.
G. S.
Hotel recommended by Travel Agent and was excellent. Breakfast selection very varied and staff attentive. Did not use most of facilities but overall appearance leads me to believe quality would be good.-Y.S
P. O.
Really liked it here. We had one of the remodelled rooms and it was lovely. Breakfast was excellent as were the staff. Will definitely return.
S. R.
We stayed here for 2 nights, the hotel is obviously undergoing renovations, the entrance and hallways are a little outdated but our room was very comfortable and clean with a lovely bathroom! The staff were helpful and we slept really well, and the travelling to and from (once we knew where we were going) was fine!
Really great value for money and would definitely stay again!
D. W.
This hotel is in the middle of a refurb. Our room had been recently updated with pleasant decor and a decent bed. The room was also very clean and quiet. Only bad point was the shower was pretty feeble. There is secure parking at the back of the hotel which will be easier on the eye once the refurbishment is complete (currently a load of rubbish piled up there). Overall a good stay and at a great price!
L. C.
Was ok. Rooms very.small and most without windows so can feel quite closed in, but clean. Reception staff friendly and polite. Parking and security staff not so. Probably wouldn't stay again but leave to your discretion
K. K.
Having read some of the reviews of this hotel I wasn't sure what to expect. I was attending an event in the area and this hotel was perfect .Great rates, very clean and comfortable room, staff efficient and friendly. I would definitely recommend as a base to visit London. Crystal Palce is a lovely area also.
R. L.
I enjoyed a comfortable night's sleep whilst at the hotel. A good selection of rooms available and the staff were helpful and friendly.
B. H.
Very safe, very clean and very quiet. A great couple of nights rest after looking after a baby for a couple of days.
T. S.
Lovely lounge. Polite fornt desk staff. High level security and good drive park
V. J.
the hotel is pretty well maintained. I like the setting itself, which is very common here. Although for many years the hotel looks quite nice.the room has everything you need including an air conditioner bed TV. In general, for such an amount from I think it is pretty cheap.I really like it and maybe I will come here again
J. K.
This is a very nice hotel. Just some rooms are really small. So double check what room you're given.
F. B.
We are a family of 6 and we spend a very nice time. We really enjoyed our stay because all of the staff were very freindly answered highly professional(especially the chef). We are looking to return again big well done to the chef.
From your friend layla
J. B.
Was put in a brand new room so no complaints, the whole place is being refurbished and the staff including security all were very friendly
C. C.
Staff were really helpful, parking is priced OK. The rooms have air con, which in the summer is a must! The cooked breakfast was OK, but expensive for what it is, but the continental breakfast had good choice and was good quality. If i was to make a bad comment about something, it is that the room doors slam shut, very loudly. Would love to stay here again!
A. A.
Nice hotel for busy visit. But without free wifi service in the room in these era of ages really inconvenient.
L. S.
I had a nice time staying in this hotel, pretty close to some bus stops and train stops as well so it's not hard to reach it and any time of the day or the night! We had some problems with an item in the room and after we told them they changed it fast. Overall i would recommend it.
K. J.
Hotel is being upgraded however nice clean rooms limited parking and a bit pricey but over all ok.
T. A.
Great value, friendly helpful staff. Great location for attractions, cafés and restaurants around Crystal Palace.
K. B.
I've been there a lot of times and I really can recommend this place. Rooms are clean and staff is very friendly. (They also have very good pizza)
C. L.
Room was nice and clean. Cold at first took a while to figure out the heating unit. Not enough parking. Gentleman sat near the door very rude didn't acknowledge me properly just told me to park on the road.
L. A.
Very good and clean room , but small toilet, good breakfast and friendly staff.
M.
Good hotel. Been refurbished now so is much better
L. B.
The ambience and character of the old non renovated hotel is missing from the place now, still a nice place to stay, just not got that certain air about the place
T. A.
You can see that the hotel was once very prominent, but something happened along the way. Now it's cheap and now very well maintained, but good for short stays if you are not very picky.
J. 1.
A good hotel, great value for money.
Rahmen (I hope it's spelt correctly) on the front desk was very helpful and made the stay much easier by helping find a cot and a room with enough space for a pram. Very polite.
Difficult in getting in and out with a pram whilst work was going on, hopefully this will be rectified and easier access in future. Would stay again.
V. A.
We liked the hotel very much, and we will stay there again.
G. A.
Sparkling clean, quick check in, accessable to public transport, car parking available for 10 pound a day, slightly far from the major tourist attractions and very reasonable pricing for quality of the hotel.
A. Z.
I read the reviews before I booked this place. I had a feeling it wasn't going to be a great place but for the price I thought I would give it ago. Customer service is not great but other than that; the room was big with Ok beds, it was clean and had both a fan as you can see on the picture and a heating system on the wall. Overall its not even 3 star hotel but not bad for the cheap price. Don't believe in what others write, see it yourself.
J. M.
Was what I needed at the time, wasn't thr for hotel experience just needed somewhere to sleep after a night out of town. Had what i needed no complaints from me
B. #.
Great room service good people respectable but be careful where you place your belongings especially while leaving do not leave any precious belongings to you or technology as it may be stolen
D. P.
beautifull room very confotly quied cordiality staff clean perfetto. very nice
D. W.
Nice clean rooms, and professional friendly service. Very big hotel with many visitors. Inside it's a bloody maze but the rooms are a good size and the en-suite bathroom was very clean. Great stay and a good night sleep.
F. M.
We had a great stay at this Hotel..With its lovely Friendly Staff , we enjoyed a really great breakfast with fresh fruit and warm croissants..
Our room was modern and the bathroom stylish ,blackout curtains and wifi ,flat screen tv..tissues toiletries, lovely soft pillows and plush towels,
All cleaned to a high standard ..every day..loved the stylish decor of the reception ...but the Staff team are it's best feature...
L. B.
The first room we were assigned was not very nice so we went to speak with reception and the reassigned us to another room which was a lot better than but other than that it's was a very pleasant stay would have again
S. Q.
Currently being refurbished/renovated. So it's a construction sight.
But the rooms are very nice.
A. F.
Good for a budget stay. I was in a room meant to be a double but had to climb over furniture to get to the bathroom. It was also several flights of stairs down with no lift not great with a suitcase
M. F.
Very pleasant but for such a big hotel could do with a better bar very basic bottled beer
C. M.
Better than expected. Room was clean and comfy if small. Bathroom tap wasn't working very well but wasn't really a problem. Only weird thing is that checkout is at 11am but overnight parking expires at 10am.
t. w.
nice hotel staff very good clean and well kept .the bar let it down no one there to serve us and when the staff did turn up they had no white wine so I asked for a gin and tonic and she served it with no lemon or lime in it and served in a hurry and not very friendly we felt like we were being a pain to her
S. L.
Comfortable rooms breakfast not so good but cheap
F. L. X.
It was okay, the new rooms were nice, but the hotel still has alot of rooms to do up. The bar was very limited. Nice staff, very helpful. Would stay again.
s. B. (. b.
You pay £7 continental breakfast £9 cooked breakfast but there a microwave in room so took my own £.1.99 any supermarket
M. S. J.
Nice place , good staff but same breakfast menu everyday
J. T.
Top notch hotel clean , rooms bright and airy, a most pleasant stay!⚓
M. P.
Lovely decorated, clean & furnished rooms, food great, attentive happy helpful staff. Will be going again. 👍🏾
C. S.
amazing room if as long as you ask for one of the new rooms. Really good value for money and excellent service from the staff especially the dinning staff
D. B.
Clean rooms and great service, use this hotel a lot when working on crystal palace tower
H. A. C.
It was about ten years ago when I came to London. This place was super nice. Located near the train station and many stores. The staff were extremely helpful during the check in process.
O. M.
Very nice hotel, the rooms were clean. the night rests very well. The bus station is close to the hotel. By bus number 3 leads directly to London. THANK YOU ALL STAFF
R. M.
Room and staff were nice .only thing that upset me was that if I pay for parking inside the grounds I expect to be able to come and go has I please knowing my space was there and not play move you loose.
M. G.
Brill stay nice rooms staff very nice good price also didn't notice the building works tbh
S. D.
Enjoyed our stay would love to come back Renovations are finished. Lovely old hotel
c. b.
Brought my family there twice - clean but a bit round - down - nice and helpful staff
i. l.
Really hard to park had a cheap room so very basic as working so cant compare to other rooms in hotel as right in basement alot of stairs and fair disyance from reception ok if working away and need overnight stay really busy but facilities in hotel fine
E. A.
Nice clean hotel, polite staff, however far from central
s. B. (. b.
You pay £7 continental breakfast £9 cooked breakfast but there a microwave in room so took my own £.1.99 any supermarket
P. C.
The room once I found it was clean and had a comfortable bed, breakfast was unappetizing tastes like travelodge breakfast, but coffee and pastries were good
A. H.
I stayed there for a few months during the lockdown and was impressed with all of the staff especially the housekeeping team. I would stay there again if I return to the area.
L. W.
We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfortable. There was renovation work going on when we were there. The food for breakfast was quick to arrive. Possibly it might be nice to offer decaffeinated tea as an option as not everyone is able to drink too much caffeine. The prices were very reasonable and I've already recommended the hotel to some of my friends looking for an alternative if visiting London. The staff were polite & friendly. An enjoyable stay. Will probably return . Will be interested to see what changes have been made. Prices are really good & a good distance for travelling to London by train.
J. C.
It's alright not bad room could have been better looked after. Very dusty and bathroom sink was blocked with disgusting water.
T. N.
well, superior family room under dining room very noisy! moved, 2nd room air con leaked water on luggage & floor, moved 3rd room ok mid sized.
B. M.
Nicely refurbished rooms with great value for money.
M. C.
Nice and clean! The breakfast in the hotel is terrible! And my bed was wider than my pillow...
O. O.
Excellent service clean very new suites were luxury local to railway staff helpful
C. H.
Nice and calm hotel. Small rooms at least at floor 1 where I stayed.
S. P.
Was clean bed comfortable - could do with a lick of paint here and there - room small but only needed to sleep there quite happy staff helpful --
D. Y.
The room that i got was very big and the service that I got was very good. However, the downside of this is that the whole time I stayed here I got no hot water when showering until I was about to check out.
B. H.
Place is undergoing renovations as we visited, parking is charged at £10 per night and no guarantee of a space if you move your car during your stay, bar was rather limited, felt like an afterthought wouldn't say it was comfortable, just functional.
The room we got was nice, newly refurbished, clean and modern, no complaints there.
Is a good stopping point if you visiting London like us,
Would stay here again for that purpose only
A. M. B.
Beautiful hotel all newly decorated lovely enquire room with large flat screen tv very reasonably priced
D. G.
We stayed at the hotel overnight as we needed somewhere for 1 night in the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful which was nice. We booked a double en suite room which came with a free continental breakfast. The room looked like it hadn't been decorated in about 10 years, however the room and bathroom was very clean so cannot complain too much. Online when we booked, we asked for extra pillows and an iron and hair dryer, which wasn't provided for us so we had to go ask at the reception. The continental breakfast was not too bad. You're provided with a croissant, ham and cheese, a yogurt and some tinned fruit. Then you may go and help yourself to drinks (hot and cold), toast and cereal. The restaurant area was very new and modern, and signs around the hotel indicated they were in the middle of refurbishment. Overall I'd give this a 3 star rating, but I can definitely see why it's a 2 star hotel. Also, WiFi is not provided unless you pay and 4g signal was very patchy.
A. P.
Great looking new rooms, very limited parking at hotel and £10 a day
A. F.
It's cheap, good location for where we were working and the breakfast isn't too bad either. Only down side bit it is London is paying for parking and WiFi
S. H.
Not a bad hotel overall. Located about 5 minute walk from shops. Parking is limited but there a good thing to have in that area. The staff were quick to process my check in but failed to tell me about needing to display a parking permit despite my details sheet stating my number plate. The room itself was quid good for the price I paid. I found it to be clean and well presented. I didn't spend much time there as it was just a place to stay but the room had TV with a good selection of channels and a small area to hang clothes. Overall I would say it is worth visiting if you are looking for a place to rest your head

When to meet friends here. There is a lot of work going on in this hotel. Will be lovely when its finished. Very difficult to park. And you have to pay.
K. K.
Friendly, helpful staff, clean room, well - serviced, good shower, good complimentary continental breakfast.
M. H.
Updating a lot of the hotel - huge place, always busy and seems to be well run.
S. H.
Lovely area, nice hotel breakfast had a nice selection only problem i had was we had a child and they stuck us down alot of stairs not in the least convenient with a pram
D. G.
Fantastic value very clean but damp on minus floors
C. L. H.
I’m not really one for a service station. But need to congratulate them on the choice of food in such a relatively small venue. Desperately in need of the loo, thankfully they were easy to find!!!
s. p.
Yes nice size room. Very friendly and helpful people at front desk...Average breakfast

This isnt exactly a golden find but for the money they charge you really can't go wrong.
This place is seriously cheap and more than acceptable for the price. Parking here isn't free and the WiFi (provided by Virgin/BitBuzz) is a paid service too
V. M.
Nice new rooms ... Big tv's and comfortable beds
J. Y.
Nice decor, room was also well decorated and clean. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced (booked 4 weeks in advance).
O. K.
Thanks staff be to make my room so clean and all good job from all staff.well done
S. M.
Was part of a big family group attending my brothers wedding although there was building work going on this did not interrupt our stay the staff were polite funny and welcoming we were not happy with the room we were allocated but even this was not a problem and we were moved keep up the good work can't wait to see the finished building we didn't get to do much with the wedding to attend then Sunday had to leave early as we live over 200 miles away but we ate hoping money willing to come back end of August or sometimes in September we will not hesitate to recommend thankyou for an amazing stay was my two youngest first time away with us in hotel hopefully we will see you real soon love the makins x
j. w.
Lots of contractors here when we stayed so lots of vans around .The Queens is having work done which was not a problem for us ,our room was one that needed revamping .Staff friendly and quite a few around .Hotel is close to a busy road but once inside you would not know .If in the area again would definitely stay there .
T. A.
Location was good for what I needed, you do have to pay for parking if you drive, not too expensive, the staff could be more welcoming though, everything just seems half done
M. E.
My room floor shakes and it bugs me to no end. No lift access and the easiest stairs to my room requires me to go through the restaurant. My room is nice a newly renovated though!
J. T.
Was a fairly decent hotel for the money, not the cleanest, not the prettiest of rooms but it does the job.
K. Q.
It's great, everything I could want out of a cheap hotel.
P. M.
Clean and tidy rooms good value for money
t. s.
Been there one night but they are undergoing a full renovation so the place is a working site. There was no mention of the renovation when we booked online.
K. L.
There is a bit of work going on around the reception and main entrance but the rooms are lovely, very clean and comfortable
T. C.
This hotel is very nice, good location, close to supermarket and nice restaurants. Easy Access to the bus or traum station. Rooms are high standards, clean bathroom, comfortable będzie and nice view from the top floor.
C. S.
Nice hotel which has been newly renovated. You have to pay £5 per day for parking and they only supplied us with 1 towel for a twin room.
K. B.
I stayed last night in one of there newly renovated rooms.i was surprised how nice for how cheap it is to stay there. It is a big place which there doing up at moment. The staff where very helpful, the bar is cheap to. Can be a bit of a hike to your room from reception due to size. Bit like a maze. The only thing i found can be bad is parking is on a first come first serve basis(costs £5). Once spaces are gone you have to try and find somewhere off site but you dont know till you get there if theres space.
M. D.
The staff is polite and nice ,the place is quiet and clean ,I have a complainment about the space ,rooms are small and a little uncomfortable ,and there is a problem with their site ,the booking beeing not valid most of the times and need to be redone at check-in.In conclusion ,it's a nice place ,but it can be better easly.
S. P.
Clean and comfortable. Not bad for a budget hotel.
M. C.
I'll give this 5 star for contractor's.. my room was a bit small , but clean and nicely decorated ,bed was comfortable and in room tea and coffee facilities with large tv .Shower was great nice and hot ensuite was clean.wifi £3 a strong signal They have a bar ..but at London prices ..down the rd 5 mins ..Witherspoons..cheap beer and food
L. B.
The bad reviews make this place sound much worse than it is. Its a historic building (zola stayed here, amongst others) undergoing an extensive and ambitious modernisation. When we arrived, the lifts had just.broken down, which would have been pretty unpleasant for us. However we were accommodated on a lower floor, so my experience is that the staff were both friendly and helpful. I cant give more than 3 stars as the breakfast tho copious was not very nice and wifi was expensive. Coffee was ok and again staff were friendly. Our room was large and clean and everything worked fine. I would say this place was good value for money, and is in an intersting location.
I. R.
This place has actually upgraded to West Bestern, an ennourmous upgrade in service and rooms are really lovely most have air conditionin.
B. C.
Excellent place to stay. Comfortable beds and wide choice of breakfasts. Good value for money.
J. W.
Good rooms, excellent sleep, good location, fantastic views.
A. V. M.
The rooms are simple and clean. The hotel is in a good location close to transport links. It has parking but the car park was full when we got there. It is way too small for the hotel. There is plenty of street parking nearby with no permit warnings or anything. I didn't have the breakfast. I think they may have some problems with the booking process because there were a remarkable amount of people queuing to check in at 12:30 am and it was taking some time to process everybody.
Wifi is not free.
K. N.
Nice comfortable and clean although room a little small. Could do with a bit of a refurb.
M. R.
the hotel room itself was lovely, newly refurbished. my biggest gripe is there was an extra charge for the WiFi - £37 for 5 days. and the WiFi would boot you off every 5 minutes, having to sign in again.
T. C.
Rooms are dated but I think they are undergoing renovation at the minute as a lot of work is being carried out. You have to pay for WiFi which is not good and the maids ignore the do not disturb sign.
s.
Really affordable especially if you book early.Easy access to bus 432 which takes you to brixton and the victoria line train. Close to supermaket and restaurants. The staff was helpfull cleaning was ok. The rooms are old some sockets did not work and because there were renovations the was a strong smell of paint which will hopefully go away soon
D. P.
Very friendly staff, we had a complaint after the first night so the manager gave us a discount on the room and a free breakfast.
N. L. N.
Breakfast wasn't included, staff kind enough, bit unlively location, cleanness ok and the best, no noises at all from other rooms
D. R.
When I arrived I was asked for photo i.d which I've not been asked before.. Serious lack of communication on bith side from them and booking. com as I didn't know and was almost turned away. 300 miles is a long distance to turn back. As fir the hotel. Looks the part from outside. Once indoors it somehow feels different. Staff are very friendly. Finding your room however is really hard. Small printed out signs which all of a sudden disappear leaving you lost in a very large place. Some stairways are narrow and steep,so if you're disabled it's a nightmare (I personally know this) The rooms are hardly anything like the photos on the website but in fairness are they anywhere! My room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was great along with a good shower. Only shame about the room is that they only provided 2 teabags! Yep 2...I had to go out and buy some. The price is rather steep for this hotel I feel as I've stopped in better for less.
t. r.
Rooms really nice but limited parking and £10 for 24 hrs if you can get the app to work
M. C.
Great value for money except for the fiver per night parking. Top tip - upgrade room the difference in really noticeable.
d.
Rooms are humid.
Car park is £10 per day, can get little pricey for longer stays
Cleaning staff are pleasant, reception could smile more
Good location
Has potential, corridors, stairways are cold, these areas of the hotel may need a revamp.
Overall presentation of the rooms are good giving it is 2 star hotel.
S. F.
Cheap but a bit disappointing. Breakfast was a miss and I usually look forward to it. We got what we paid for. :(
E. A.
Clean and comfy rooms (some of them), at the day of this post, January 23 2017, this hotel was still in renovation, and the rooms that aren't renovated yet are smelly and downright uncomfortable. Ask when booking.
a. s.
Disadv. : Very small rooms and very far from london center, adv. : Perfect price for stay with a disciplined room service.
M. O.
Good. We lived in room that look like submarine. But clean and relatively comfortable. Wifi £3 per day and equipment. Connection to the centre good.
Z. M.
Very good hotel. Staff is cooperative.
M. P.
Lovely decorated, clean & furnished rooms, food great, attentive happy helpful staff. Will be going again. 👍🏾
S. S.
3rd visit- consistent good service great. Value - No complaints
J. C.
Good for the money you pay very warm room will go again
P. m.
Got a little old and probably needs some beauty works but it is what it should be, a cheap and good hotel for visiting London
s.
It's like home from home with good sambuca Maria who runs the bar is a credit to the company made our stay very enjoyable thank you
J. H.
The hotel is ok, the only thing is no lift for underground floor and fire alarm rang on the midnight, no staff attend on the gathering field.. Hmm..
j. a.
It has a very staff
And you have your space and being to be social with the other people staying at the
Simply fantastic
A. B.
We stayed just the one night bed and breakfast Room fine as was English breakfast.
P. C.
As they say you get what you pay for 3 people for 2 nights £112 but £5 to park from 3pm to 3pm to coincede with check in and outs the room had a constant brickwork smell as they are doing major refurbishment in another part of the building bear in mind its a little further a field from the city so go to crystal palace station just under a mile walk or go to gypsy hill station it will cost you £12.30 for an all day travelcard which you can use on overground underground and the red london bus both journeys around 45 mins to victoria
G. R.
A really good hotel. Bedrooms are fair enough with the price you paid. The only negative point is the distance regarding to London.
R. H.
Lots of potential, but we only stayed the one night during a refurbishment. Did the job for our stay during the London Brighton mini run
J. S.
The first time I and my fiancé stayed we were disappointed by the construction work going on in the hotel. The floors were uneven and the carpets where non-matching and they should’ve really cut that part of for guests. However the second time we got a much nicer room very clean great amenities and for a lovely price. In conclusion it’s very hit and miss depending on what room you get. We haven’t tried the food yet. The only down fall is that you have to rent out the iron and the WiFi.
L. G. (. G.
Very clean and well kept room unfortunately there was building work going on during our stay which we was not informed about
d. t.
Stopped here on a number of times. Is being updated at the moment and my room is very good.
S. J.
Great location, big room will be coming back again.
L. H.
Large hotel that seems to accommodate and cater to groups such as school teenagers. Noisy and fire alarms set off many times.
J. H.
Good big room bed wasn't to good not many pillows, didn't sleep very well
S. M.
Perfect hotel with good location and price
P. M.
The room was fantastic, would definitely go there again
A. D.
Nice staff and very clean rooms :)
A. R.
Nice and cleen hotel. Near a busstop and a station.
S. K.
There was a lack of parking at the hotel, I had to leave my vehicle on a residential street a few minutes walk away. The room was fine, I was put in a newly refurbished room, the room was clean, the bedding was clean. There was a loud hum coming from the ceiling above the toilet, possibly a extractor fan of some kind, however I was that tired when I arrived this didn't stop me sleeping but I think it could be annoying for some.
k. W.
Good hotel for what we needed which was somewhere to sleep, had lots of issues with the shower though
P. L.
Good construction with confusing paths.
J. t.
Lovely clean rooms. Friendly staff
D. G.
Very basic room, fit for purpose but not much else, rooms not very soundproof at all - we could hear staff moving along the corridor late into the night
J. W.
Lovely room for a cheap price outside of London. Only a 10 minute walk to the station to. Lots of eating places situated around the place.
A. B.
I booked before reading the reviews and i was absolutely put off and frankly petrified of what i got myself into, after worrying about it for so long i felt stupid when i arrived; i enjoyed my two nights there and i plan on going back. The staff were amazing, polite and friendly. Our room was well kept and pleasent, after we went out for a short journey around town we came back to clean sheets and fresh towels which was very nice of them. The hotel itself is a short distance by a few pubs, pleasent cafés and local supermarkets.
The iffy thing il have to mention is the wifi, i should be free for booked guests but £3 isnt bad for 24 hours. But other than that the breakfast has an good selection and i look forward to going back.
I went to the London Comic Con and coming back to unwind after the days events was amazing and the days stress slipped right off me and my friends knowing we had a nice place to settle down and sleep.
M. W.
In the situation we are in (covid 19), they are doing there best as are us postman. Thank you queens hotel crystal palace...
S. J. V.
Pros:The price of the room was very cheap and the location was ok for me to access london. The hotel looks grand from outside.
Cons:Rude staff Shabby rooms Smell of bleach in toilets Noises from next rooms Bunk beds Micro size tv
A. L.
Good hotel, clean and friendly staff
V. E.
An amazingly quiet place in what they called? Crystal palace area. We took uber from London town to the hotel, it was a long ride & We were afraid we made a mistake on the booking. It was dark on arrival, the front desk ladies were
professional and attentive, the bar was full . We had great nite rest our room was small for the 3of us, but very modern & very clean.
We walked everywhere to local shops & eateries. The hotel staff could speak various languages as well. We had a very pleasant visit. Thank you.
E. J.
The food at the restaurant was great and the staff were so helpful
J. G.
Pros: Friendly staff; very clean room and toilet; comfortable bed; equipment and products in the room for us to make tea; there was a big TV in the room
Cons: You can hear everything through the walls
M.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was cosy.
Very clean
R. L.
Cheapest place to stay in the area with lots of rooms and very close to the town. If your looking for luxury however this isn't it. Power was out on the whole floor we were staying on and the staff are quite slow at getting things sorted but overall pretty good for the money paid.
M. P.
Friendly staff, rooms cleaned to perfection
D. S.
Nice place, clean and comfortable atmosphere, and not fare from the city of London. Easy to find train and bus to the central area
M. C.
Quite nice rooms with air conditioning, kettle, cups and tv. Pay wifi. Distasting food
J. T.
Top notch hotel clean , rooms bright and airy, a most pleasant stay!⚓
S. S.
What do you want from your hotel? Clean and good to sleep there. Well this is the place.
M. E.
A bit squishy, they crammed 3 beds in this tiny room with barely any room to walk between.
A. H.
Clean basics rooms, comfortable enough. Premier inn prices with out the luxury
S. U.
Friendly staff, good scenic part of London. A grand old lady of a hotel
B.
Me and my partner took a double room for one night which turns out well. Clean room , sheets and bathroom.no wired smell or stains. We have been given room 512 which has a nice view over London in the night.could even see London eye! The doors are closing loudly and check in is early in my opinion ,11am, suggestion to change it for noon. Can say nothing about dining area or breakfast as well as we have not had it.was not included in the 85£ double room price.shame really.would be expected.the man that worked at the reception when we checked in around 1 am was not to friendly and did not tell us how to get to the room, I had to ask him.
There is no night bus close by except to Cristal palace parade about 10 mins walk away and 15 mins from Cristal palace station. There is also paid wifi-should be included in the price.
N. W.
Average hotel for short stays. Rooms for every budget. Main down side is the size of the car park, too small and have to pay for it. Same with the WiFi.
K. S.
Ok price to quality ratio, but that only means it's dirt cheap and one of the worst experiences you could have. Even the services was saying "if you take the price in conaideration..."
Bad decision to come here.
G.
It is what it is. Good cheap accommodation. Beds good.
L.
Suoer comfy room at kinda cheap prices
M. Č.
Not perfect but at least clean and quite cozy. Free Wi-Fi not included.
