B. T.Perfect location. People - girl, at checkin was so nice!! Nice hotel. They even made us EARLY CHECK-IN!! Ita was perfect!! But, Nothing special room. In first floor, by the elevator is WAS SOOO laud. Poor quality of noise protection. AND EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY: You hear every step above your room, and YOU CAN'T sleep 😕 ANNOYING!!!Breakfast was OK. Miss out some salami and cheese. Or I did not found it. But: When we were at reception, to inform them that we are leaving at 3:30am, and ask them to prepare something for Breakfast-to-Go, the workers who was at reception, was NOT NICE TO US!! THEY just say: We don't have that, and we won't do that. I said we have Breakfast paid already, they just turn away. That, was so annoying. Also the noise of the room. So, that are two reasons, that next time, we would definitely use different hotel.

Other reviews have commented on the size of the rooms, but I'm not sure how much bigger they need to be to sleep and wash in for a few nights. The view from my room wasn't amazing, but I wasn't in London to gaze out of my hotel window.
I'd definitely stay here again if I was planning a weekend in London.
M. P.Stayed here for 1 night on Saturday for my birthday. Decor upon entry is really pleasant and some nice seating area. The lady on reception was very friendly. Got to the room and although quite small, was pleasant as we were here to be tourists, not stay in a room!
We only have a few frustrations:
The biggest one was that shower really needed some work. Loads of filler around the shower hole and tiles really wasn’t pleasant to look at. The pole that holds the shower was actually loose, so it kept coming off which was annoying.
The lamps next to the bed was covered in dust and clear they hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. This was frustrating especially as they are so close to your head. This also applies to the top of the curtains. This indicates lazy cleaning and it’s worth mentioning (I wouldn’t if it was minimal but it was a lot)
There was no waters in the room which wasn’t a big issue but I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a hotel where there wasn’t complimentary water?
Apart from this, it was an overall good experience and I would stay again, but the shower was the thing that stood out for me as a let down. I think my partner got a deal on the stay but if paying £100 for 1 night, I would have requested a different room.

I. J. T.Lovely hotel in a quiet and relax area, 2 min walking distance from underground, also 2min from HydePark beatifull entrance.
Breakfast is a must at this place, don't miss it.
Everything was just perfect, the room, the lobby area and the bar...very special front office team, led by Jesus (Junior) who were very wellcoming and really kind.
Next time in London, there is no doubt we will repeat at Mornington.

w. w.This was not one of the best "Best Western" hotels I have stayed in and I have stayed in 30 here and the USA. Front desk information and communication left a lot to be desired. For example we were not informed about issues with room housekeeping ie towels and bedding not tidied, something you expect in a hotel. We were told, after I complained, was a request that we had to make. However I did give a higher star award as breakfast was of a standard and quality we expected from "Best Western" hotels.
A.Pleasant enough 3-night stay at this hotel. Hot shower, comfortable bed and clean, spacious executive double room. Would be critical of the limited cold breakfast options and lack of housekeeping service. However, this was rectified by the lovely members of staff working front-of-house. Decent value, but I would be reluctant to fully recommend until the COVID policy comes to an end.

The 2 women that served us upon check out and check in were very kind and looked after our luggage after we had checked out so we could still enjoy the day we had left.
Hotel is in an amazing location, easy access to Paddington station and a literal minute walk from one of the entrances to Hyde park. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Prices were good for what you get.
h. X.For the past month I have stayed in a few hotels in London. And having stayed here the longest amount of time during my stay in England I cannot fault the hotel.
Location: Brilliant! Next to a few stations, Hyde park is a stones throw away. Laundrette and cafes are seconds away. There is a 24 hour Waitrose a minute away too, for essentials.
Service: specifically Daniel, was beyond accommodating. From taking care of my luggage hours before check in to upgrading my room - twice! Considerate and incredibly respectful.
Rooms were large in comparison to what you get for your money in London, nice towels and due to corona, room service is limited.
I really enjoyed my stay and I would return if I ever needed a hotel in London again.

Silvija on reception and Chingee in the restaurant are great asset to the company and the hotel. Definitely will be choosing Mornington for a next visit to London.

On street parking on the doorstep and metro around the corner. Hotel manager, Dovile, and her colleague Eduardo always offer excellent hospitality and serive. Really good breakfast.

M. M.The Hotel has an amazing location and the treatment during the stay is amazing. The receptionist was very kind and gave us free drinks since the room we were staying had no views at all. Once thing that I want to mention is that I think even if you are paying with an offer online if there are more rooms available it would be better to offer a room with a window facing the street, our window had no light and you could just see a wall, that’s very inconvenient but I can understand. The other thing is from the 4 emails I had before arriving, each person responding told me a different thing about the breakfast and opening times, that’s quite bad . The room was quite clean but it had a strange smell, I’m sure it was because of the no ventilation. And lastly the breakfast : there is no buffet anymore due to COVID-19. There is a menu available and they have just one person dealing with everything. This amazing lady was taking orders for 8 people and cooking everything by herself with no help of other staff so in order to get your breakfast you need to wait A LOT, she is a star though and it’s not her fault, food is okay ( I would say 2 stars) but the quality overall is a let down since the location is supposed to be high standard. I payed the same for locations in small cities and the experience felt on a MUCH more higher level than this place .

You could hear the noises coming from the corridor, but there were only three rooms along this corridor so not a lot of doors banging. Bed was fairly comfortable, nice fluffy towels in the bathroom. The room was tidy, bathroom seemed fairly new. Good breakfast, close to a tube station. I would recommend this hotel.
V. N.The bad......This was the tiniest hotel room ever overlooking a terrible view. The bed was crammed up against two walls with a small space to get to the far side. The hairdryer was in the closet in front of the doorway. No overhead light so it was very difficult to dry/style hair.
The good....very nice modern bathroom with walk-in shower. Bed was comfy and everything was very clean. Breakfast was very good in a nice area in the basement. One block away from Hyde Park and easy to pick up the Big Bus Hop On Hop Off. Beware though that the maps provided show a stop 31 close to the hotel that is no longer used.
The neutral....no tap beer at bar. Sitting areas were very small. Nice bar and eating place around the corner named The Swan.
J. L.Great experience over 4 nights! The staff was incredibly nice and accessible. I had a problem with my room and they fixed it, no problem. The rooms are kind of small but it's in London so you can't expect much more. It is located right in front of Hyde Park a really beautiful one. And it's surrounded by many restaurants where you can have lunch and dinner if you want so. Although it didn't have much variety the breakfast was great, they're buffet was pretty good.
w. l.The sound insulation between rooms needs to improve. I can hear the room next to mine blowing hair and using the bathroom. I can also hear people staying above my room walking around their room when they wake up in the morning. Overall, the room is clean and tidy. I am satisfied with the bathroom as it really clean and bright. The staff will clean my room everyday.
I have asked the reception staff to help me arrange transport from hotel to the airport. The staff was supposed to call me to confirm on the price, however she failed to call me back. Despite confirming the price with the hotel staff 2-3 times, the driver still insist to charge us 69 pounds (which is 10 pounds more than the price as confirmed by the reception staff). In the end, I had no choice but to pay 10 pounds more so i could leave the vehicle. I feel really disappointed due to the dishonesty of the driver. I hope Best Western Mornington Hotel could give me an explanation on this.
C. M.Great location. Hotel was less than 5 minute walk from Lancaster gate tube. Easy to access to hyde park and 10 minute walk from a shopping street. Room was a nice size, clean and had an iron and a decent hair dryer, reception rang 10 minutes after check in to make sure everything was okay in the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were offered to store luggage even after check out. Breakfast had a great selection of english and continental, this was a buffet so you could have as much as you like. Some of the tables were a bit close which staff were apologising for, but we were lucky with where we sat. Tea and coffee offered on arrival for breakfast and again staff very willing to help.
The only down side to the hotel is the noise, could hear the guests above, guests walking down our corridor and room doors closing not to bad during the day but a problem at night.
Overall the staff make this hotel reception, bar, catering and house keeping staff were all very polite and happy to help.
S. R.If I evaluated the hotel based on the politeness of the staff I would give 5 stars. But based on their effectiveness I'll give 3 stars. The shower pressure was too little in our room and it took way too long to take a shower. We mentioned that and they promised to fix it but nothing was done. Maybe they did something but with poor results. At least it couldn't be noticed. The breakfast was fine and the staff there was kind. The location was great. Just next to Hyde Park and Paddington station where Heathrow Express departs was very close too. The ventilation system in the bathroom was a bit noisy and probably could disturb someone who is more sensitive to noise. It didn't bother us when we closed the door but was still heard.

C. C.London is expensive (especially when your dollar is worth half theirs), and I forgot. So when I booked one of the cheapest rooms I failed to realise that it wouldn't be what I was used to getting for that kind of money. I was in the basement! Not really what I was looking for after 17 and a half hours of flying but oh well. The rooms were nice enough, clean and tidy. I did have to fix my shower head at one point as it had come loose, but no biggie. The breakfast was the best part of the hotel, not too much variety but enough for even fussy eaters to find something :) Staff were very friendly and professional. Overall, I'd just recommend not getting the cheapest option if you stay there, but otherwise it was pretty good :)

Great location, well communicated but they have things to improve: not much wardrobe space or place to leave the clothes for a week stay, no good illumination by the bed if you want to read BUT comfortable bed and pillows. Pity there's too much carpet for me.

D. H.I would have only given three stars for this hotel, as the room is incredibly small, as was the elevator. But they have a Handy Phone on each room, which is already set up for local data and wifi. Use this room phone for calls home, tickets, where to eat, just like your own phone, but you don't use your data or minutes. Very handy for getting around town. The accommodations are comfortable, just a very tight for for luggage and wide bodies. 😝

The hotel staff were very helpful and professional with good recommendations of the local area.
The room we were in was originally an executive double room which was upgraded to an executive suite which spanned two levels. The interior was amazing with only a few minor faults; the electrics/lighting and fridge cupboard. The shower was pleasant but the fixed overhead shower was to far forward and low down. The tea tray was standard quality.

S. C.Booked for a short stay in London and the location is perfect, just around the corner is Hyde Park and up the road a tube station. If your looking for just a base in which to explore London this is a great choice. The staff are lovely and friendly and we could drop our bags to continue the site seeing right up to the last minute. The location of the hotel helped as well because its set back from the normal hustle and bussel of London so you can get a good nights sleep.

Our room was just next to the elevator so it was pretty noisy when people used the elevator (basicall all night / early morning). The beds were not the most comfortable and the bathrooms didn't feel too clean, but for the price we paid it was still a pretty good experience.
R. M.Very good hotel for a short or longer stay. The rooms and building are very clean, darn near immaculate. Beds are good sized, and decent closet, but most rooms have a desk but they do not have dressers for clothing. Staff is very helpful, pleasant to deal with and always doing a little extra(umbrella, free newspapers to read, storing our luggage before check in). Has a nice little bar/library with finger food. Equipped with a small gym with a few machines. Rooms both single and doubles are not tiny but they are small. Same for the bathrooms and no baths just showers and they are 1 person and narrow. The bathrooms are not spacious, they are not tiny but they are tight.
You are just a few minutes by walking from Hyde park and about a 15 minute tube ride to Harrods. Lancaster gate(central line) tube Stn is a short walk and about 25 minutes to Westminster abbey and most of the main attractions(Buckingham palace, parliament, Churchill museum, London eye).
2 elevators(they are small) but in excellent condition. Also the breakfast buffet is very good, nice room with pleasant staff, good variety but it is extra not included in the room, it is a separate fee of 10 pounds per person. Also has free wifi with a good speed.
Altogether a very good mid priced hotel to stay at. I will be booking here again. I would have given them 5 stars but the lack of clothing dressers, small rooms and bathrooms mean I can’t. But if you are looking for near excellent rooms to visit London in a very good location this is a great choice. Btw get the London oyster contactless visitor pass it is definitely worth it just to use in buses and trains. Fast and safe.
A. L.The hotel is well located, the room was spacious, and the breakfast was good. We did have problems booking a taxi through reception who told us to come back and ask 10 minutes before we wanted to leave. In the end we waited 30 minutes and nothing turned up so we booked an Uber ourselves.

No fresh food meals served in the evening. The barmam offered us a microwave meal or the chance to order from a pizza delivery.
We did pi zza, it arrived in 20 mins piping hot and delicious. We were told we could eat it sitting at the bar, in the lounge or our room.. All in all a great overall experience.

One of the towels was stained but I used the other one so it was ok. I didn't find personnel particularly friendly but I enjoyed my stay there.
s. R.The longer,I stayed here(5-nights),the more annoyed,I became. Come on,at roughly $200.00 per-night,for a tiny rooom;they should at least-include,their buffet breakfast. Instead,they charge £15.additional,for breakfast. And common-sense,is that hotel housekeeping,should automatically;replace soiled looking and/or wet towels. As an informed hotel-guest,I placed all towels,that needed to be replaced-on the shower floor. To my unpleasant suprise,I noticed,a very wet and soiled towel,just back on the rack. As soon as looked at it,I saw how dirty,it was.

M. M.Nice adequate hotel, with nice friendly staff. The room was about half of what you'd expect typically in the US, which could use a little TLC but not shabby nor dirty. Lancaster Gate subway station is minutes away on foot, Paddington train and subway stations about 10 minutes. Paddington offers both regular and express service to Heathrow airport, so this was convenient.
There was a AC plug adapter provided, iron and board, hair drier and a safe. Unfortunately the latter was locked, refrigerator might have been nice, along with alarm clock with USB. TV needed some filtering as noise in the line cause jumps in both picture and sound. Being one block in from Hyde Park reduced traffic noise from the busy Bayswater Road to almost nothing, but found the sound of doors closing in the hotel and working housekeepers annoying at times.
I would almost say good value for money but I found that the high in my daily cost 235% from the lowest. I might stay again depending on the price.

J. K.We really enjoyed our stay in London, and our stay at this hotel contributed to the experience. London is a very expensive place, but this comfortable and gracious old hotel really made it special. We stayed in the larger suites on the first floor, and I think it is worth the upgrade. However, I did not see the regular rooms.
The location is convenient to the underground. Although the closest UG stations was under renovation while we were there, the Paddington and Queensway and Baywater stations were all in easy walking distance and covered the different lines easily. BTW, if you are there for more than a day, the Underground is worth learning. It is so fast and easy once you get the hang of it.
The hotel itself is quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the refrigerator and the hairdryer, and were okay with the somewhat cramped bathroom. The staff is very friendly, but not particularly knowledgeable about the vicinity. I would not rely on their guidance about local food options or entertainment. Check the internet.
We were here for a week and truly enjoyed our stay. I think you will like it too if your expectations are not a US equivalent.

T. C.Hotel would usually be in a perfect location if Lancaster Gate Station were open (opens July of this year). We had an executive room, very cosy and cute and had all the amenities you'd expect of a nice hotel. Nice proximity to Hyde Park (2 mins walk). Rooms were pretty good with some rough edges however, dangling electrics under bedside tables, loose bedside lamp fittings, couldn't dim lights despite dimmable switches.
Good hotel for the price, would recommend an executive suite for the romantics out there with a dual floored layout!

I first thought the hotel was a little of the path but turned out to be at a great location! Close to Paddington (12 min walk) which was excellent for arrival and departure using the Heathrow express, close to Hyde Park for running and with a few good pubs in the vicinity. Most major attractions as Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Westminster, Natural History Museeum etc within walking distance and close to underground for attractions further away. Staff friendly but could do with one more staff assigned at breakfast (which was very good by the way). My room was clean and comfortable,
Negative:
Poor sound insulation, lot of very sharp bangs occurring when people in the next rooms moved about and i found it difficult avoiding making the same noises so can't entirely fault the other guests, probably an issue due to how the hotel is constructed or something, cleaning occurred rather late in the days, Bit annoying to have to re-sign to wifi every 24 hours.

On the first night one of our party had to go to St Mary's emergency. She had life saving surgery the next morning. Then she had to stay in her ward until she was well enough to travel.
The hotel staff were very kind and understanding as three of us had to have accommodations during recovery time at St Mary's. Staff were so cheerful in helping us with extending our stay day after day and also in suggesting how to meet our other needs. As an American I had to ask one of the staff, "How can you be so civilized?"
Thank you, Mornington, thank you. (The patient and I married this past June. We celebrate our life together with a constant remembrance of Mornington staff's support during our completely unexpected and greatly stressful life and death event.)

P.The great virtue of the BW Mornington Hotel from our point of view is its proximity to Paddington when we are travelling to and from our home in Cornwall and also to and from Heathrow, yet additionally wish to be in London for a few days. Proximity to Lancaster Gate Underground Station and bus routes along Bayswater is also a huge advantage.
When we checked in mid-evening on 31st January , we were very warmly greeted by reception staff. This was very pleasant as we had just come from Heathrow after a 10 hour flight from Mumbai which of course meant our day was 29 and a half hours long, because of the time zone difference.
This experience, plus the comfort of our room , means we are VERY "pro" the Mornington Hotel.

I stayed there for a week while I had my vacetion in London. It is close to Lancaster Gate tube station, and paddington station. I had breakfast included with my room, and there was a nice selection for breakfast.
There was air-conditioning in my room, a flat-screen television. Free Wi-fi. I did not bring my laptop, though so I only used it on my phone, so I can not claim to know if the speed and stability is good or bad.
All in all I was pleased with my stay there, and might well choose the same hotel again.

The hotel bar / library has a large selection of drinks at good prices, there are also some reasonably priced dishes, I ate Chicken tikka masala which was very good. A hotel I have stayed at dozens of times and would love to return to.

Snabb in och utcheckning. 2 olika hissar, når alla våningsplan, inga besvärande halvtrappor. Ungefär 7 trappsteg innan entre’n.
Rummet var bra möblerat med bekväm säng, skrivbord, stor tv. Fräscht badrum med dåligt vattentryck i duschen.Utmärkt daglig städning. Stor garderob med många hängare, dåligt med lådor för kläder. Utmärkt belysning även för läsning i sängen. Vattenkokare och te, kaffe och småkakor.
Läget är bra med närhet till Lancaster Gate underground, 5 min och Paddington Station 8 min, buss 3 min. Hyde Park 200 meter. Lugn gata med lokaltrafik. Mycket stort utbud av restauranger, pubar, livsmedelsaffärer i närområdet. 10 minuters promenad till Queensway. 50 meter till närmaste pub.
I hotellets bar/bibliotek har stort urval av drycker till bra priser, finns även några prisvärda rätter, jag åt Chicken tikka masala som var mycket god. Ett hotell jag bott på tiotals gånger och gärna återvänder till.
