Really comfortable stay, and a nice breakfast. Staff were all lovely. The room was clean and cosy. Only thing it got really hot at night and cold In the morning due to the windows not being doubled glazed I assume ? No expert possibly could of just been a cold day.
G. M.
Place was more like a hostel, however, own double bed and shower, very small but convenient. Maybe a wee desk could have been good as I was working .
Staff was very warm and welcoming, breakfast was plenty.
Great location.

Liked:
- Pleased with our stay at this hotel! Starting from the location; Goodge Street tube station can be reached within 5-7 minutes walk and then explore the whole of London via tube.
- Staf was helpful at any ocassion we needed assistance. Breakfast was plentiful.
- Room was of a good size for the three of us, beds comfortable enough, there was a desk available for laptops (good wifi speed), telly had a good range of channels, kettle with loads of coffee, tea and biscuits available.
- Good hygiene throughout, clean toilet.
Disliked:
- To order english breakfast or separate elements, we had to complete and forward our orders in some tiny sheets to waitresses each morning. This was fine, but we waited at our table with no one approaching for 10 or more minutes. So twice, one of us had to go and meet them at kitchen entrance. We feel they must come at every table upon guests arrival and take orders immediately, since kitchen only stays open until 08:50am.
- The room temperature was set to 22 degrees and couldn't be adjusted. This was too hot for us to sleep well at night and staff must sort this and allow guests to adjust as desired.
- There was no lift available, albeit our room was just at the first floor.

Small but perfectly adequate single room. Really liked the included breakfast.. - good range of cereals toast etc, tick box menu for cooked items, eggs and bacon cooked to perfection and a real tomato
T. E.
Room is clean, staff are very nice and location is great but it is overpriced - breakfast is mediocre, breakfast room is small for a hotel that size (can't physically be changed but a time system or room service could be offered to avoid crowding) simple things like net curtain in window was dirty and had a hole in it, old phone in room that wasn't plugged in but not removed, bed was 'made' poorly. It is hard to change everything in an old building but at that price, it's just not quite good enough.
I. S.
Slightly smaller than expected rooms but no complaints otherwise. Great breakfast, great service, would stay again

This was my first time on a trip to London and first time at a hotel solo. I did not realise at how good the location was until I arrived. Perfect for tourists or locals. I even had the "lower-class" type room, but I was impressed. Bathrooms and bedroom clean, WIFI, staff nice. Check-out easy and even had breakfast included.
C. L.
Amazing stay. I told them when booking that it was our anniversary and we arrived to find a big box of ferrero rochers on our bed with a lovely note. So thoughtful and unexpected! The hotel is a great location & walking distance for Soho / Oxford St, and great connection to other parts of London on tube or bus. Clean and safe. Really good value for money. Would stay again.

Great hotel. Stayed here for 6 nights. Lovely room, shower is great. I want one in my home! Room is small but what do you expect in London. And it is only to sleep in. The only thing I missed is a fridge. Staff is amazing. Very friendly and helpful! And location is amazing! Thanks guys. I’ll be back someday.
R. K.
Lovely hotel in a fantastic location. The double room was ample size and good value would happily book again.
P. N.
Arrived and was greeted by a lovely helpful you lady, made me feel at home straight away. Only took three minutes to book in, single room was small but very comfortable, more than does the job.
D. M.
Me and my family only stand one night and it was lovely. The room had lots of space and was very clean. Breakfast in morning was hot and fresh
T. S.
Great value little hotel. Basic, but that's reflected in the price. Lovely staff and breakfast spot-on. Will definitely stay here again
c. -.
Nice hotel and polite helpful reception staff. But lost my order for my breakfast order I only had cereal and toast had to wait 30 minutes. Then one of the staff that serves breakfast had a attitude trying make it my fault they lost my order
R.
Stayed here Sept 2020, typical place to stay if you want a "getaway." It's not posh posh, but it's good enough. Breakfast was OK. Receptionist was lovely though!

Comparing to London- the location is perfect and the price is affordable. This place doesn't suffer from noise pollution, public transportation is available and close. The staff is very nice and professional. No elevator. Single room bed- great shower (5/5); comfortable bed (5/5); great TV (4/5); heater/aircon- 4/5, does the job perfectly fine; bed- big enough and comfortable (5/5). The room wasn't big but is very convenient for single travelers, small families and travelers who like to walk but need a place just to sleep. The hotel isn't good enough for disabled, elderly and big families.
Breakfast is severed every morning and the staff do a great job in housekeeping.
To sum up- very recommended!
J. K.
I had read some really negative reviews of this place before staying here so, needless to say, I was worried! I needn’t have been! The room was small, but big enough for just me, it was clean and the bathroom was small but well appointed. At first I couldn’t find the TV remote, but finally figured out that the button under the TV was the remote! The safe didn’t work, but that wasn’t a massive problem for myself. There was tea and coffee, clean towels and plenty of plug sockets for charging, etc. It’s convenient for the theatre district, Soho and Camden, all of which I enjoyed visiting. A cheap place to stay with a decent enough breakfast, as long as you’re not expecting a 5-star experience!
S. C.
Picked this hotel based on price and location. Any negatives I know about up front i.e- no lift, older building, small breakfast area. That being said, my only complaint would be one small coffeemaker in breakfast area- poor girl gas to refill and start another pot continuously in the first hour in the morning. Otherwise- great housekeeping, clean room, kettle and stuff for tea and coffee in room. Great stay- thank you!
A. B.
You get what you pay for! I must admit I read the reviews and though it was a very mixed bag. However for London the hotel is fairly priced and in a GREAT location. However the room was quite small and my bed wasn't comfortable. You could also hear creaking when people went up the stairs, but this may just be my specific room. Overall I think I would recommend the hotel, it fit my purpose as just a place to rest!
F. H.
I don't get why people rate this hotel to be a one star hotel. I found this place great! Close to the subway, it's affordable even with a limited budget, the beds are better than I expected, the bathrooms are fresh and feels really new and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are not the biggest I've seen but that's perfectly fine. When you go to London you don't go there just to sit in your hotel room all day long. YES, I will definitely return!
E. J.
Room tiny but what do you expect for the excellent price considering everything else was perfect. Breakfast included in price and was delicious!! Location fantastic very close to UCL and British museum, tea making things in room with little shortbread biscuits, a lovely touch, little ensuite bathroom clean with mini shower gel /shampoo, great value for money in London.
B. C.
The accommodations are quite dated but the breakfast was actually decent. Might want to avoid in the heat of summer since air conditioning isn't a thing (at least in most rooms) but it's with walking distance of multiple attractions, bus and tube stations and parks. I had rated this one star but upon reflection bumped it up to three because I have good memories of the trip and the Bloomsbury was a big part of it
B. K.
Me and my boyfriends stayed there in January for 5 days. It was a very nice hotel really close to Oxford Street (5 min. walk). We had read in reviews that people said the rooms were really small but our was pretty big, or just average size and really nice.
The man in the reception was also very nice, and when we asked for new batteries in the safe that was in the room, he was quick to get it and fix it for us.
I recommend this hotel for this kind of price! I would go there again.
M. H.
Price and location was good, single room was very small but perfectly adequate. Bed was comfortable and the room was acceptably clean. Rain head shower in the ensuite was a nice touch.
T.
I booked the hotel and later I read about the comments here. It got me scared, but I had a very good experience. I stayed there for five nights. The bed was good, long enough (I am 1.92m and fitted), the room is very small, but complete. Wifi was fine all the time, tv worked perfect, temperature in the room was ok. Hotel room was cleaned every day, and also the public areas were clean. Breakfast fills you up for at least half a day; I never had to wait. Staff is very friendly. They provided me with drinking water and electricity converter during my entire stay.
On the second floor the traffic noise was very doable, as all windows have double-glass. Sensitive guests should bring earplugs. This is the cost for staying in the center of London. Location is excellent, and very safe, also at night. Supermarkets, shops, restaurants nearby.
Summarized: high value for money compared to other hotels in London this is really a good option.
a. l.
Rooms are very good, clean and good size. Close to euston ideal for business trips. Breakfast a bit questionable though. Very small breakfast room and cramped. My order took and age and then turned up cold. Minor detail given cheap rate.
M. S.
Excellent staff, Paula and Muhammed were extremely helful and friendly, they did their very best to help resolve a mistake my travel agent had made. They also helped me receive my lost suitcase after I had checked out, Thanks guys! . The hotel is OK for the price and location but if you go for a single room do make sure it meets your needs as it's really tiny with no desk or space to put a suitcase.
M. H.
Room for single person was small but as only stopping 2 nights was fine, very limited hanging space (2 coat hangers). Room was situated at the front near road so was very noisy at times. Didn't effect me as the beer allows me to sleep through anything! Great location and good breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, clean and tidy. If I used again would request a room at the back.
S. S.
Smallest room I've ever been in, it's like I'm in Harry Potter's closet under the staircase. That being said, this place is just what you need for a short, short-notice trip to Central London on a budget (my room was £75). Breakfast is also included, and it's a pretty good one too (full English), so that's another £5-10 value right there.
Regarding my particular room, it DID have an en suite bathroom, but it was so small that I could barely turn in the bathroom. My room was on the first floor, at the back, with a direct door to the garden (!), so it was relatively quiet. However, the room is right next to the stairs to the breakfast area, so in the morning there was noise, and the room smelled of food in the morning.
M. P.
Great place right in the city, and value for money. I had a double 'compact room, but it met my needs adequately. It is modern and clean and there was even a fold out desk, which was an essential for me to work. Free WiFi, which is faster than alot of hotels. There is a surprising amount of complimentary items inc bottled water (in the fridge), peanuts, 2 packs biscuits, a muffin and tea making facilities; personal hygiene items too. The shower was excellent, big overhead deluge rose, and hand held rose too; instant hot water. I gave it 5* based on what you get for the money, if it was more expensive that would go to 4*. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
O. G.
Absolutely perfect location to explore the city, many destinations are within walking distance . Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but clean and well-kept, they are very authentic for such a house. And the price is simply unbeatable. P.S. Insider tip for all Sherlock fans: think of "Speedy's Sandwich Bar & Cafe", its address is Gower Street 187. And not Baker Street ... 😜
D. F.
More than adequate for a nights stay in London. Beds were comfy, staff were friendly and the breakfast was more than expected with fast service. The bathroom was also more modern than expected from such a quaint building. The only down point was a dusty and grimy remote for the TV, but that's just harsh criticism.
V. D.
If I would've to rate the room alone, I would've given it 3 Stars, but the Service made it worth 4.
We got a room in the lower level, our window looked out on a dirty back alley, and the wall with the window let in so much cold, we had to up the heat to the max. Other than that, the room was fine and clean.
The Service alone deserves 5 Stars. We asked for an AC-Adapter, the Receptionist gave it to us without extra charge. We asked if we could print coach tickets, also no charge (although we didn't print, because we couldnt buy the tickets online, but still, his offer was nice enough). The Breakfast was OK, I expected a buffet, but there were only a couple of cereals, tea, coffee and spreads. You have to wait for the Service to bring you the english breakfast. You can choose between scrambled and sunny side up, and with the engl. breakfast you also get a couple of slices of toasted white bread.
All in all OK for 1 night.
C. H. S.
Very very small room, next to busy road so can get quite noisy at night when trying to sleep. However good location and easily walkable to many places. Very clean, ensuite bathroom has everything you need. Friendly staff with 24hr reception. Reliable, strong and very fast WiFi, which is rare! Great value for overnight stay.
M. W.
I went to visit my family visiting town. The receptionist was lovely to me, even I was not a guest. Could wait in the reception for them and use toilet. I would recommend this place to other visitors as its location is realy good and the rooms and facilities look good too! Has a garden inside and offers breackfast
C. M.
I will make this short because my experience can be summed up in a few sentences for both good and bad. GOOD: Greeted by very friendly ladies at the reception area, she explains everything including WiFi and breakfast times. Heaps to choose from for breakfast and super close to the tourist attraction via walking (1hr to Tower of London, 30mins to Westminster Abbey / St Pauls Church / London Eye & Buckingham Palace). Only 1hr drive to London Airport. BAD: We were in a double room whose bed was so short I literally had feet hanging over from my ankles and Im only 170cm tall. Also, I would like to stress that the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on in my entire life. Bathroom is tiny and shower had me bending down as my head hit the roof if I didnt... I ordered the full English breakfast and you could tell it had been just microwaved upon order as bacon was so overcooked you could snap it in half with a tap of the finger. Eggs were stone cold. Toast was soggy. I mean it is not that hard to cook eggs, bacon and toast. Anyway, for the odd £200 I paid for this room, I could have chosen a million other options. I feel bad for saying it but Ive been thinking about how to word this review since 3am this morning because the thermostat didnt work, I was shivering in bed and could hear next doors conversations as the walls are paper thin. Beware.
S. h.
The room was small, simple and mainly clean (although the net curtain was very dirty at the bottom and there was a little mould on the window). Breakfast comes with two rashers of bacon and one sausage plus beens and egg (scrambled or fried, but not both). Toast brought to the table on the side. All in all it would be hard to complain for the price of £85 for a double room.
G. S.
It wasn’t the disaster I feared. Room (306) was a little rough round the edges but large (with an extra single bed I hadn’t asked for) and bathroom was new-ish and clean if a little small.
Decent enough for a night or two on a budget and close to several tube lines.
P.s. the receptionist is a bonus :p
A. L. S.
Other than the size of the room, which was tiny and the sofa bed most uncomfortable, the gentlemen at the Front Desk was very friendly and helpful. Acceptable for 1 night stay.
M. C.
I stayed on Sunday night for one night very small room but clean bathroom was small but nice. Great staff and nice breakfast for 55 pounds a night with food can't complain really I will stay again.
M. F.
The rooms where quite small, which was expected. Air con didn't work at all, and there was no fridge which was pretty weird. Apart from that everything else was decent. Brekkie wasn't too bad either.
J. C.
Room was lovely except no bin in rm kettle dirty and half full of water cleaning was ok and reception staff very friendly .breakfast rm tinny and staff very uninviting no conversation we sat there ages before someone plonked toast on the table without speaking or asking if we wanted any and definately no browm or white option then asked if we wanted full English the time breakfast arrived toast was stone cold . No one explained the set up .coffee had run out then was cold when we received 1 this area let's the place down and for the price we paid it wasn't cheap they need to get this spot on .tourists or not as if it's good u will rtn
L. T.
Was great for what we wanted however breakfast seemed to confuse staff. Take a slip off you with table number and order on and bring you someone else food or give your food to someone else. Saw this happen to others also mutilple times. Stuck to cereal and toast. Eggs gross and mushrooms smelt like vinegar. Toast cold and more bread than toast.
e.
Excellent location, friendly staff and good breakfast. The rooms are fine. A success, we will stay again on our next trip.
S. J.
It was an ‘okay’ stay but the size of the bedrooms were decievingly small compared with the pictures online. The toilet space was so cramped that it wasn’t properly usable.
L. J.
Staff friendly, room small but clean, power point hard to access. Room very warm so you have to leave the window open, then the traffic was very loud..
S. R.
a tiny hotel with a good location though. Hurry up to breakfast as there is not enough place for everybody in dining room! :)
V. M.
Clean room, good location, friendly staff. Could do with some refurbishment. Odd placement of TV too (next to your head by the bed)
B. O.
Room very small and (my room) not as secure as you might hope. But staff friendly and the location is excellent for both business and leisure
J. H.
Nice hotel with a good location for the theatres in that are in the area
Room and shower room very clean only down side was we were at the front of the hotel and the road is busy so we heard the traffic but it didn t keep us awake The breakfast was plentifull and delicous

(Translated) The price-performance ratio for London is absolutely great! But you can not expect any luxury. The rooms are very small and the breakfast is English standard. For me it was fine, because I was traveling as a backpacker and I have used the location only to stay. Unfortunately, the topic of cleanliness is not written that big here. So if you are a bit more prone, you should look for something different. The staff at the front desk are very nice and helpful. All in all, from my side thoroughly recommended. I booked 4 nights
(Original)

(Translated) We chose this this hotel for its proximity Alka Euston Station, the hotel is very small, but cozy. It is located in a central area, but quiet, with very close metro.
Good breakfast
The modern room, quite large, with three comfortable beds.
The bathroom is very small, but new and in the room.
The only "critical" that I can do the check in time, the 14 seems really late.

Buona prima colazione

Il bagno molto piccolo, ma nuovo ed in camera.
L'unica "critica" che mi sento di fare l'orario del check in, le 14 mi sembra davvero tardi.

(Translated) Whether it is 4stars opinabile..ma depends on the needs. We, for example, there were three guys and we were always around ... so what we cared about was the location which was really great, very central. Near the GOODGE STREET metro station. A little neglected and breakfast to review .. but overall it is acceptable.

Noi ad esempio eravamo in tre e ragazzi...eravamo sempre in giro per cui ciò che a noi interessava era la posizione che era davvero ottima, molto centrale. (Translated) This is more of a BB than a hotel. It's small and listening between the walls. The room and bed were just fine. The bathroom was small but ok. Breakfast consists of a small buffet with yoghurt and cereal. In addition, a mediocre English breakfast is served at the table. Nice service.

(Translated) Excellent hotel for business visits, mini rooms for one person, but enough for an overnight stay, clean, equipped with a kettle, tea / coffee. The hotel offers a delicious British-style breakfast.
Excellent location for sightseeing in the center, within easy walking distance, one street from the hotel boulevard full of British pubs. I would probably choose the hotel for an individual sightseeing holiday.
