M. B.Great location, literally a 2 minute walk from the Excel centre, about 5 mins away from City Airport and on the Royal Docks. Has plenty of free parking which is a huge benefit and bonus and probably worth a single night rate alone given it's location in London!
Staff are friendly, check-in was a breeze.
Hotel is a true 3 star so don't expect the world. Having said this, room are clean, spacious given the style and age of the hotel and beds are comfy.
I thought noise from the airport would be an issue but nothing disturbed me during the night.
My room (no. 11) had an AC unit (a must in summer) and a heater, hairdryer, and a safe.
Hotel has a large beer garden and lots of indoor eating space. It does classic pub food such as burger and chips, pie and chips, salads etc. And all at reasonable prices. I only tried the apple pie. It's huge and tasty. But far too much for one person.
Overall a thumbs up for this hotel!

D.Our first room the bed was under the window and could feel a strong draft over our head we called to inform the staff and the sorted it out very swiftly and changed our room, we were happy about that. Bathroom had a little damp and shower leaked a little when used but nothing major. Overall a decent hotel clean room good bedding, towels and helpful staff.
T. K. B.The hotel was very nice, especially considering its location, although it seems to be geared more towards being a pub/restaurant than a hotel: whilst the staff were friendly and helpful, a phone call to reception took three attempts as everyone was working the bar.
There's no lift and most of the rooms are upstairs so it's not great if you have mobility issues or lots of luggage.
The room itself was comfortable, though slightly musty smelling and I had to request a towel as there were none in the shower room.
Dinner was great, and unusually there was no extra charge for room service. Breakfast was reasonably priced and satisfying.
I'd consider this hotel again if work brought me to the same area.
G. H.Room was clean, and the bed was very comfy. Decent price as well. Was worried about noise that close to city airport bit didn't need to. The sound proofing was good and it was very quiet and plenty of parking.Only minor downside was the size of the bathroom in my room. Functional but very cramped ( toilet squashed between shower and wall). Didn't eat there as was out with friends but the food smelt good.
D. J.Attended the BETT show and the hotel was in easy walking distance, took us less than 5 minutes. Hotel itself was clean, room were spacious. Bathroom was small and only had a shower but again it was clean and functional. This hotel is an old listed building and had plenty if character. Food was ok not an extensive menu but even had a couple of gluten free options. Best though the price of a pint was only 4.40 I nearly fell over at how cheap it was
A. P.Nice hotel with a lively restaurant. Limited menu but very nice food. The rooms are clean and modern with comfy beds and air con. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.
M. B.The staff is very friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. You can reach the DLR Station Prince Regent in less than 5 minutes. From there you are in the city center in less than 30 minutes.
The pub has a nice selection of beers. The food is alright but not great. The a la carte breakfast is not included in the room price, but it's reasonably cheap.
Overall a good experience. We would definitely stay here again.
R. M.A reasonable place if you get a good deal, so with more modern hotels being built very close by you might get a low price. A large bar, with plenty of food options for evening meal and well-priced breakfast. No lifts to rooms so three floors up the stairs might not suit some people. My room was clean, if a little lacking in maintenance, with tea/coffee and toiletries supplied, air con worked but smelled pretty bad in use. Comfy bed and free Wi-Fi too.
A. B.Affordable accommodation in Docklands London. Lively bar popular with sports fans. Burgers served here are delicious. The only criticism would be that the menu could do with a few more choices. Staff are friendly and helpful.
B. S.Great venue for the Excel, very short flat walk, parking included in price which made it cheaper than the Premier inn and we wanted the choice of where to go for breakfast. We were on the second floor and there was no lift and the beds were an average double rather than the larger ones you get at the competition hence the 4 stars.

M. D.Bijou accommodation (stayed in standard room, no.10). Floor, ceiling, furniture clean apart from small gap between cabinet and shower, and between glass door and edging of shower (euch). Walls in bathroom need coat of paint. Nice pub/restaurant downstairs

N. B.The staff are wonderful! But the rooms are very small, the beds are a small double, the air conditioner did not work, the toilet didnt flush and you can hear what everyone is doing in the room next door.

Chambre confortable et propre. Personnel très accueillant. Petit-déjeuner très bon, et excellent rapport qualité/prix. Pas de permanence 24/24 mais possibilité d'entrer et sortir via porte arrière. Suffisamment de prises électriques. Wi-Fi parfois instable. Difficulté à avoir de l'eau chaude pour la douche, il faut ouvrir presque à fond. Fenêtre faiblement isolée, surtout en terme de bruit (aéroport proche).

Trotz des Flughafens in der Nähe gut zu empfehlen. Sauber und neu! Frühstück hätte etwas reichhaltiger seien können. Ein kostenloses Babybett stand bereit. Für zwei Tage gut ausreichend. Der Weg zur Metrostation ist ok und die Verbindung nach Tower Gateway war recht gut. Wir würden wieder buchen.
