Although unfortunately I can't comment on the accommodation or the hotel itself due to not being able to make it with a combination of the storm and unforeseen events. I am giving a 5 star simply due to the amazing customer service I received from the reservations guys. You have been brilliant from handling my requests to allowing me to switch my date of stay over (even though in the end I still couldn't make it), complete with a message of welcoming really added something. You guys are a star and if the rest of the team are so great with their customer service then they can help to make a stay special. Thank you so much and although I didn't get to stay here in the end I am still left happy to of received such excellent customer service, which makes it an easier pill to swallow.

Lovely room with city rooftop views. Breakfast was a shambles in the general breakfast lounge and the cereal bowls were polystyrene with paper cups. The club lounge ran out of items repeatedly: coffee, eggs, white bread, cereal.
Great for underground and reception were really helpful. No charge to keep our luggage after checkout which was really helpful.

Very good location. Decent value too. The reception and foyer look very good but that doesn't extend to the rooms, which appear to be tired judging from my room and are no more than 3* quality. The comfy beds definitely help push up the rating in this regard.
Rooms are only cleaned if you're staying more than three days and you have to let reception know on the day that you want it cleaning. I did and everything had been cleaned with fresh linen, bedding and towels provided.
Breakfast options were decent.

The room was nice but I had 2milks that were off in my room, 2 were fine so half right. It would be worth requesting a room at the front of the hotel as the trains were quite loud through the night from my room. Luckily my ear plugs worked a treat 🙂 Breakfast and the staff were brilliant

Reception is average. Pot luck who you get first time lady was helpful second time lady had poor English and no smile. Also under staffed.. rooms are better the higher the floor. Room is ok. Nothing special with doubles 2 singles put together.
Overall location is excellent.. no water in room.. cleanliness OK.. but its an average hotel so no bells and whistles but for getting places and for comfort again it's OK.
Lack of security asking guests to wear masks but then again they were not bothering so set a poor example.

I have been inside to meet someone a few times sitting at the recipient and I was once in room to visit. Its really nice clean hotel and even the rooms are nice a clean but not very big nice and small enough for one person.I had one day a lunch there very good food taste I had a lunch pasta polonaise and a drink very taste the price I didn't pay my mate paid but he said to me different from the outside shops because its a hotel as guess in the hotel for people there it might be cheaper they ford the hotel so the same the food affordable. The hotel he said cheaper olmost half from what he was paying before a year a go. So good hotel and nice food affordable.

The price for the room is excellent in this location compared to other hotels in the area. The size of the rooms is good especially for London. The breakfast is good but needs some more items. Pavan is excellent at the breakfast buffet, very helpful and clean.

Breakfast is very very good except that it is the same each day. I have been staying here for 15 days so a little bored with the same kind of food. The hotel should change it often. The staff is excellent and extremely helpful. They took care of each n every needs of ours. Best wishes

I would recommend this hotel
1. Perfect location, it’s in the center of everything, you want anything in town you just walk ..
2. The service is incredible, the employees are very friendly and helpful.
3. The food is my number one ☝🏽.. starting from the breakfast to the menu ..
to be honest I had to add some days so that I can enjoy the food 😊😊
Big up to the team

I'm not staying at this hotel I'm just on a coarse there . Hotel it's self is very nice staff will tell you where to go. Clean tidy and very quiet I would stay there if I could. Rooms about 130 per night not bad.

Check in was easy through web check in. Room was neat and clean upon arrival. Nearest tube station (High Street Kensington) is only 10 minutes walking distance. Taxi is just around the corner next to the hotel.

This hotel is in a good location for London, is clean and functional with mostly friendly staff, providing excellent value for money accommodation.
I know this hotel is not what it was, but it is still decent.
Some refurbishment of bedrooms may be in order, but they are still very functional.
All five rooms I booked were occupied by people who would stay again and would all recommend

Great stay, lovely and clean, efficient service and the staff are very friendly and helpful. In particular, Thiago did a great job as concierge and will always put a smile on your face. Looking forward to staying again in the future

Overall I would give it a four, two of the staff literally took a star away. One was from the reception, another one was a cleaning lady. Reception was abrupt and was not a nice encounter when i phoned. The cleaning lady was just rude to me yesterday, the card to my room doesn’t work for me today so I looked at her. She shrugged and looked away, kept talking on the phone. That, was, the rudest encounter I’ve ever had with a hotel staff. Found a mouse underneath eh fridge at the lobby, cockroach at the dining place. However, I didn’t expect much with hygiene here in London. Bed was comfy, location was great.

I really loved Scrabble egg and pork sausage in the breakfast. Overall had a nice cozy, healthy breakfast to ease my thoughts. Madan from hospitality did really nice job helping me have good time during my stay in the breakfast.

Decent hotel. Can't really complain. Some dishes on the menu are good while some not so much. The service in the restaurants is very good. Special mention goes to Pavan, the server, is always on hand to help.

Stayed here for a weekend break nice hotel, room are a little tired but clean and comfy. Nice buffet breakfast with lots of choices. Karthiga our waitress was very helpful. Worth a visit.

Nice hotel, friendly staff especially the concierge Thiago very knowledgeable employee helped me a lot with my stay. Definitely made the hotel a 5 star stay for me. Hope to come back again soon especially with the excellent costumer service starting at the front door :)

Beautiful hotel, amazing views from room, super room service, room made up each day, breakfast and evening meals all very good. Would definitely recommend.

Location of this hotel can't be beat! Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are dated but large for London and if you're not spending a lot of time in your room, not an issue. The only hang up was cleanliness which could have been improved. Our room had a great deal of obvious water damage along most walls and tables/switches weren't wiped down and cleaned from previous occupants- Housekeeping every few days was great with fresh linens and towels. Overall, would stay here again and hope for cleanliness to be improved upon. Location, price point and size of the room all together great!

Our stay at this hotel was amazing. From the atmosphere to the service. The staff at the breakfast bar where very helpful and kind. Pavan was very friendly. We will definitely be returning.

I had an amazing stay. Everyone was helpful. It was my husbands birthday surprise and they surprised him with a birthday cake. I was very grateful. The breakfast was amazing. Only reason why I did not give it 5* is because we had to wait 1 hour for hour afternoon tea to arrive as there was no staff if the tea room and other people where waiting. Other than that when the food arrived it was lovely 😍
W. E.
The general atmosphere was nice. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast included all the main and fresh components. All in all, I had a good stay in Copthorne Tara Hotel.
l.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were polite, helpful and understanding, especially with the room problems I had, and the breakfast was filling and varied with a selection of hot and cold to choose from. It was also within walking distance to the event I was attending so the location was a major factor in choosing this hotel. However, as mentioned, there was a small issue where my original room's door wasn't able to be closed properly and the change in the key card caused some problems with the lifts. But the staff were able to solve the problems and help me have a safe stay
N. T.
On entry there were security and the reception area was clean and staff friendly. The room was very clean and well maintained. Bed was very comfortable we had a great nights sleep and the linen and towels were soft. It was overall a great weekend. We had breakfast twice. It was constantly restocked with hot fresh food. The staff in the restaurant were happy, helpful
and friendly. I would recommend this hotel. Great value for money. I took my mum for a 70th weekend surprise and we both had a great time. Brilliant location 5 minutes walk from High Street Kensington. Taxi to the theatres £30 we a great view of London on the wall. Thank you we will return again.

Was gonna give this hotel a three because even though its sold as a four star it is a bit dated but everything that we have done here has been good the breakfast was delicious and the staff are super helpful and friendly. One problem was the weekend we stayed was you can not purchase like a bottle of water or a can of coke there are no bending machine in the building you are not close to a shop outside the building to go and get one and the coffee shop that sells soft drinks in the hotel we found out when we asked does not open until Monday. It is a nice place and I would come back it's just got a few glitches.
D. L.
A good location and the rooms were clean and of a decent standard. Four lifts seemed to cope well but the performance of your room key to get you to the right floor was haphazard to say the least. Breakfast was good and varied although the very tasty cooked food was only luke warm. Very busy at 9:00 but the queues moved quickly. Car park is small and has very tight bays which don't seem to be allocated.
P. W.
I stayed at the hotel for five nights in October, for a solo break in London.
The room decor was a bit worn and tired, but that is the only reason the hotel does not get five stars from me. The staff were helpful, the room comfortable and well equipped - I particularly appreciated the fridge. And it could not be better situated for shops, buses and the tube. Excellent value
R. K.
I really like the hotel. It had parking, 3 mins from the tube station and nicely lit up from the outside with lights. The receprion area was clean and big with seating. The welcome bear 🐻 was a cute toxh fir my grandson. The bedrooms are functional with comfy beds. All the staff were helpful but the staff at breakfast were really friendly and kind especially Karthiga, who went over and beyond to help me. Sathish and Pavan also deserves a special mention. The breakfast was goo too. I also found the location convenient and will differently be stay there again. Thank you.
I. F.
The executive lounge is very well-kept. It is clean, tidy and very cosy. Special thanks to Pragma, very nice and welcoming, she went above and beyond to make sure that we started each day with a smile and a fluffy omelette.!

We had a very comfortable stay in this hotel. Our room was very clean and spacious. The room was quiet. The hotel is in a very convenient location within walking distance to the high street where all the shops and restaurants are and close to the tube stations and easy access to the bus stops. It’s not far from Kensington Palace.
The buffet breakfast was adequate with a good selection.
We will definitely come back to this hotel again and will recommend it to anyone.
R. C.
The hotel is amazing and so centrally located. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I specially enjoyed the coffee at the cafe served by Pavan. We enjoyed our stay at the Copthorne Tara Hotel.
T. B.
Travelling to visit London all you need in a hotel is a clean bed, decent showering facilities and breakfast to start you off on the right step, although being close to a tube is also something to look out for, and for me the Tara Copthorn has it all, so the rooms need a little updating? Yes possibly but I'll be honest with you I don't spend a great deal of time in them so therefore it's not going to worry me to much, although some air-conditioning would be beneficial, I did find it a little on the warm side but not enough to hinder sleep. The room was clean the sheets and towels fresh. The Breakfast a range of option s from Cereal to Cooked as with all hotel breakfast it can become a bit samey if staying for an extended period, but as I was here for 2 nights it set me up for a day exploring London. The staff I encountered were friendly always wished us a good morning, evening or night. I will say English doesn't seem to be their first language so some patience may be needed if you are trying to get to the bottom of any issues you may have, but remember people BE Kind (so many people are to quick to scorn!)
As for location with Kensington highstreet just a stones throw away and a tube line less then a 5 minute walk what more could you want, this isn't my first stay here and always my go to when in London.
Would definitely recommend.
K. M.
Overall I enjoyed our 3-night stay at this hotel. I felt safe and comfortable. I would consider staying here again.
There are many places to get a coffee or a meal on site, or alternatively loads of options just a 5-minute walk away, which is also where the nearest tube station is located.
Speaking of the tube, our side of the hotel was up against the tube line, but we didn't hear the trains going by because they've double up the windows. So that was no worry.
There were a lot of staff working, including a front doorman for security. The hotel was completely booked... which meant on Saturday night it was very noisy with a lot of parties going on. We were there for work and found the noise a bother, but I bring ear plugs along anyways when I travel for work, just in case of situations like that.
All in all, a pleasant stay with very welcoming and friendly staff.
The rooms are a bit outdated... but it's still a steal for it's location and safety of the area.
By the way, one of the random things that made me book this place, was the fact that I was able to leave my luggage with the concierge on the last day, go shopping for a few hours, and get my luggage before heading out of London. It's a small thing like that which this hotel has available to customers, which makes a huge difference!
♿️ 6 Lifts/Elevators and Accessible Rooms available. Wheelchair easy access entering with auto sliding doors.

A very beautiful hotel and environment. The staff specially jasmine at dining hall was outstanding with service. The breakfast was a smash

Clean hotel. Past its heyday. Friendly staff. Decent amenities and breakfast. Good location. Nowhere to buy bottled water on site? Staff never pick up the phone. Told me 3 separate times I didn’t pay for the room, though I did pay for it in advance.
M. S.
I made an error with my booking. The hotel rebooked me to the correct day without any issues. The room was clean and quite and the bed comfortable. Fantastic location just a short walk from High Street Kensington and accessible from the side entrance of High Street Kensington Tube Station.

Just bought a latte at the Express Cafe. Coffee was good especially served by Madhan. Good service and very polite. Anyone who is staying at Copthorne Tara Hotel should go try the coffee there.

I only went to a Christmas bazaar today, didn't stay in any of the rooms.. but would still write a review of the parts I saw.
Entrance, reception hall and the ground floor hall where the bazaar was held shows how good the hotel is.
Very clean, well organised and staff was polite and helpful when asked to show the way.

Location great, just a couple of minutes from Kensington High Street tube. Huge hotel, that is looking tired and needs some maintenance. Reception staff excellent. Room tired, bed uncomfortable, great views though! Went to the bar and given tatty drinks menu - why not laminate the paper to make it look better? Lack of staff meant a lengthy wait, so we went elsewhere, returned after dinner and had a drink, which was fine.
We could not get the TV to work, nor the kettle in the room. A maintenance man came fairly swiftly and sorted the television, saying he had to do maybe 20 a shift in the same way! He also replaced the kettle. An uncomfortable night's sleep. Bathroom was really tired, but the shower worked well.
We decided to breakfast elsewhere, even though it was included in our rate, the experience in the bar and seeing the breakfast area just wasn't enticing enough.
Reception ladies were the highlight of this stay. Friendly and accommodating and a great first impression of the Hotel. It was sad to see a number of guests giving them a hard time for issues that weren't of their making and actually being quite rude to the poor girls. Yet they still smiled and were welcoming for the next guest. We didn't envy them their job!
Although we hadn't been to London for a few years, we have stayed at this chain before elsewhere in London and this wasn't the experience we have had previously and are unlikely to return to this Hotel.
We don't mean to be entirely negative, just trying to give honest feedback.

We were not staying in the hotel but went in for a drink and birthday celebration. We had a cake and the staff were very helpful giving us plates and cutlery to use. Cannot comment on the accommodation as was not staying in hotel.

Hotel location is excellent with a very short walk to the High Street Kensington tube station, perfect for getting to the Chelsea Flower Show.
I would encourage the hotel to read messages via Booking.com and have better communication on their reception as unable to get through prior to our visit which was not reassuring. However, staff very helpful when we arrived. There was a good choice at breakfast which seemed to run smoothly. Check out was simple. Would stay again as very good for exploring that part of London and comfortable beds.
R.
Rooms are definetely dated but location-price wise it's a good deal. We didnt use any breakfast or room service but staff was helpful and friendly
Z. E.
Pavan took excellent care of us during breakfast service.
The hotel is of a good standard and kept clean and warm.
Would recommend.

I had an extremely pleasant stay and the team were extremely helpful and courteous.
I have only a couple of points to mention and that was the availability of the lifts. Out of all the lifts at one point there was only 1 lift operating and we could not find the stairs to be able to just walk down. The other point is that it would have been nice to have had the option of purchasing a smaller breakfast as we had an older person in our party that just would not have been able to tackle a full breakfast and she would have preferred the option to have the choice of a cheaper breakfast.
We arrived back in the Hotel about 11:00pm and would have been nice to have the opportunity to purchase drinks and sit in a lounge for about an hour.
G. N.
We booked an accessible room, reception service very quick.going to room corridors had pushchairs and wheelchairs in which made it difficult to get down with disability aid. Room was small which is why disability aids in corridors. No shower seats which caused difficulty in showering. TV did not have any sound. On coming back from sight seeing in London door card key would not work, went to reception 5 times to change key but still not working, they called a technician who sorted it out. Beds were very comfy but air conditioning was loud.Breakfast was great
M. H.
Basically we were quite happy with the hotel overall but the service to the room was disappointing - nobody came to clean the room despite there being a "please clean" sign on the door, and the towels were too small. Then we were woken up before check-out on our last day by someone trying to clean the room. The experience could have been much improved by simply having the room cleaned when we asked.
E. A.
So far this is my first day I really enjoyed the breakfast and especially at the executive club lounge and the staff MANAL was very helpful and good image with a nice welcoming smile and great attitude. Thank you for this great welcoming.
A. J.
Was there for work. Breakfast was good. Karthika was very prompt at the breakfast service. She was individually attending to most of us seated. Excellent.
N. m.
Was here on work. Excellent stay as always. Can't get better in terms of proximity to the city. Madhan served at the Breakfast hours - great hospitality!
S. L.
Room and hotel are nice enough.
Certainly an older hotel, the air con unit is something museums dream of but the bed was cosy, the room was clean and the hotel facilities are more than adequate. Perfect location, central and wide variety of breakfast. I was a little disappointed that the travel cot had not been wiped clean.
J. W.
We stayed here before and the reception staff recognised us and made us feel very welcome. When she heard it was my birthday, she offered us complimentary parking and some drinks vouchers. Very kind staff. The breakfast is a decent self serve buffet style with eggs, bacon/sausage, mushrooms, pastries, etc...The beds in the room are on the (very) firm side but that's down to personal preference.

There were good things, not so good and bad things about our visit to this hotel. Good thing was we only paid £79 for two of us for B&B. Good thing we knew the location would be convenient for our visit to London.
Our check in was efficient but impersonal and without any other additional information as to where we could find our room, where and when the breakfast was to be served, where we could find the bar/restaurant for the evening etc.
The room was a decent size but tired. The furniture was dated and worn out, the upholstered chair was quite badly stained on the seat, all the light fittings were really dusty which made me check the picture tops which were also dusty. I didn't look any further. The bathroom was clean, basic, white fluffy towels and some basic toiletries. The room, being on the 9th floor was reasonably quiet and the curtains had a very good black out lining.
We had a drink in the bar - very old fashioned and lacking any atmosphere. A gin and tonic was served in an uninspiring tumbler instead of the more fashionable Copa. We didn't eat in but went to a local restaurant.
We had breakfast downstairs in the restaurant. The two members of staff on the front desk were more concerned with flirting with each other than explaining how the buffet system worked or showing us where we could sit. The food quality was reasonable but not memorable with a fair selection of cooked items, yogurts, basic cereals etc. The coffee was dreadful. Undrinkable. However, the hygiene level I think should have been better considering the times we live in. There were tongs etc. but I noticed some guests weren't using them when selecting bakery items. Food spillages from the hot buffet weren't being cleaned up by the staff regularly. The tables we sticky and needed a good clean down. The plates for the hot food were cold. The staff clearing the tables were slow meaning you were sat with all sorts of plates/bowls etc. long after you'd finished with them. The service was impersonal to the point of being rude. We were glad we were only staying one night.
All things considered, taking into account how much we paid I shouldn't complain too much but definitely more attention needs to be paid to hygiene and cleanliness. An update of the dining rooms and the rooms are hopefully on the cards. We were probably given an older room because of the rate we paid. Would I visit again - probably not unless it was a real bargain and only for one night.

Super value for money, beautiful breakfast, great staff.. would definitely book again.. fully recommend.
Good Service by madan

Pretty good value room we thought for our stay in London to see a show, very handy for Albert hall and breakfast was again good value at this price

Excellent service, it was my birthday and they organised a cake to be brought out! Ramya was lovely and very attentive and kind! Thank you all for lovely food and service!

The hotel is situated right in the middle of where I wanted to go. Short walk to either High Street Kensington or Earls Court tube stations. I love the area, and I have stayed at the hotel three times now. Easy access to taxi`s outside.

Nice area, car park available at extra costs, room was very good.

Had good experience at hotel and the staff Madhan was so helpful and polite 🥰🌹 enjoyed the breakfast and there was slot of variety food selection. Highly recommended ✨💫🌹

This is a lovely Hotel a little dated in places but still a grand place to stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a good night's sleep throughout our stay. On the downside breakfast although delicious wasn't hot enough for us.
P. S.
Entrance is nice, but the hotel feels like it needs a bit of an update decoratively. This goes for the rooms as well.
It is clean and tidy though...
The hotel is centrally based, and very near some attractions, good for the underground as well.
I'm not sure if breakfast is worth £13/person though, so didn't have breakfast in the hotel. Kensington High Street is a short walk away, and there r breakfast places there - more Vegi choice, and variety (not any cheaper though, unless you just want toast and tea)
Parking is EXPENSIVE, and limited. It's on a first come first serve basis, and is very small and tight in term of space. IF you find a space, make sure u have someone helping you to get into the space, fold your mirrors in as well...cost £15 for 2hours, £39 for 24hours (£29 if you staying at the hotel). We 'bit the bullet' and parked up the car for 3days and used the underground.
The staff seem nice enough as well.
Family room is two adjoining rooms which is great 👍🏽
R. S.
Tired decor, musty smell to rooms and a bit soulless but good location and competitive price compared to other hotels nearby. Convenient for our purpose and generally okay
R. K.
location is great, you will get everything in minutes distance. However other services are quite poor. the reception will never pick your phone no matter how many times you call. you will get house keeping every after 2 days which is very bad in my perspective.
T. V.
Great location to London parks and easy to catch everything even
the Theatre part of London.
Rooms are clean, some might need a little upgrade.
Breakfast wasn't the best part of our stay, need at least a proper coffee machine and some continental selection..
S. C.
Nice hotel. Great location. Short walk from the natural history museum and the VandA. Tube station just around the corner. Kensington gardens only ten minute walk. Buffet breakfast included has a good range of options and the quality is good.
K. R. N.
We had Amazing Party in a private banquet. The good and all the arrangements were perfect and it was taken care with minute details .
Sathish, Karthiga And Jasmine were taking care of us amazingly and managed by Nilesh .
Thanks once again .
A. D.
Staff polite and helpful. Stayed for a week. Good convenient location for family holidays. We didn't have any major issues. Just be aware of the train tracks at the back of the hotel which might disrupt your sleep if you are a light sleeper. Also you might hear a lot of noise from other rooms (I was woken up at 2pm by a screaming child and loud voices). Not the hotel's fault I suppose.
s.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. We were able to check in early which was a bonus. The facilities in the hotel were good. A 5 min walk from South Kensington tube station. The only minor point - the hotel exterior, particularly the cladding needs a face-lift.
L. C.
Friendly and efficient reception staff. Clean room and common spaces. Dated and lack-lustre decor. Rooms uninviting.
Book a room high up and away form the trains.
I won't be staying again as I want to stay somewhere that feels more luxurious and where the bed is made every day by housekeeping (policy is every 3 days here). Be aware that the parking is on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved.
K. G.
Great value for the price we paid, rooms comfortable and clean, chromecastable tv so we could watch what we wanted. Cooked breakfast was great, and of course all the other breakfast offerings were okay too. A few guests had issues when we checked in but we didn't have any issues ourselves so all good.
L. B.
Stayed in a family room (two connected rooms). The two single beds had been pushed together & made into a double. Spoke to reception who informed me there was no housekeeping available so she was going to arrange for the single bedlinen to be left in our room to make the beds ourselves. This was fine with us as two teenage children did not want to share a bed. When we came back from dinner the beds had been made for us. Excellent service. Hotel is a little dated but still very comfortable. Breakfast had a really good choice of food available & they prepared a vegetarian breakfast for my daughter.
M. S.
Breakfast was fabulous and welcoming staff is very kind.
Thank you sathish for great commitment to get me satisfied when it's reguired during busy time.
M. S.
Room was comfy and plenty room. A good nights sleep.
Milks in tea and coffee container had not been checked. Covered in coffee and one had been used. Only two teabags which was a bit mean.
Breakfast was not nice, limited choice and yet more of those milk containers for your tea. No fresh milk? That is really poor.
Overall a good stay, just disappointing about the milk containers.
W. C.
Breakfast was so good. Pavan, our host really was nice and made sure we had everything we needed.
H. T.
Check in was quick and easy, staff really friendly and communal areas super clean. The room was clean but a little tired, especially the bathroom. The biggest drawback was that it was noisy and walls were thinner than expected. The air con was good, and facilities such as tea and coffee and hairdryer were all quality. Would stay here again, overall value for money is good.
S. S.
The hotel is situated right in the middle of where I wanted to go. Short walk to either High Street Kensington or Earls Court tube stations. I love the area, and I have stayed at the hotel three times now. Easy access to taxi`s outside.

The reception was clean, tidy and nice. Very polite gentleman checked us in. Went to our room and we had to physically throw ourselves against it to get the door open. Same for shutting it when we were inside. Twice my husband didn't close the door fully as it hadn't shut properly behind him as we entered. We had to lean on it to get it shut.
Same for the bathroom door. Clearly some movement in the building has occurred. Bathroom door wouldn't shut. The bathroom door also have a large (albeit repaired) hole on the inside. Clearly been kicked at some point and repaired. I understand the repairing...…but how about painting the door??
Just a few suggestions.
Thanks.

Very mediocre. Considering its meant to be a 4* star hotel, I was tempted to award less. Its clean but dated. The complimentary toiletries was one bar of soap, so don't forget to pack your own. Of the 4 restaurants, only one is open, the food is average and the staff need more training. We came back to get a late drink and it closed at 9.30. Don't get me wrong its not a bad place, but not what you expect from a West London 4*.
The Manager said (and you know its coming....) Its due to Covid.
Well, we are all getting back out again so they need to up their gain, get more staff (there are loads of redundant needing a job surely), and provide the 4* experience we have paid for.
L. C.
Hotel is very nice with exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast/restaurant facilities. Superior double room spacious with good shower but air con badly indeed of updating. Room unbearably hot during this heatwave. Hairdryer a bit of an antique, heavy and unmanagable. Would have given 5* but for the poor air con system.
R. W.
Pretty good value room we thought for our stay in London to see a show, very handy for Albert hall and breakfast was again good value at this price
J. R.
Bed side light switch is by the door!
Fridge not working and quickky soaked stuff put in the cupboard next it.
One drawer, 3 ins. deep containing underwear belonging to someone else.
No chest of drawers.
Breakfast table clearing very slow at Sunday breakfast.
Cold plates.
Bar closed very early.
Sheets had no tuck-in
The lifts have a mind of their own and were not very cooperative
But, slept well. Shower was efficient and it is mightily convenient. Can overlook most things if these three factors are in place.

The break fast was good and cooked well and the service was excellent and I hope that they could add French toast over all everything was fine madhan helped me with the breakfast

This was about my 5th stay at this hotel. It is very well situated and is not a bad hotel in and of itself. This trip being the first since the Pandemic was not without incident because of changed protocols. Infrequent room servicing (I had to request the 2nd one twice because they neglected to service it and when they finally did forgot to place toilet paper. I guess we are all adjusting. The Wifi and the lights in my room were also a bit wonky.
I wont give it my best rating but because of the reasons first given I would stay here again!
K. M.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, rooms are spacious and clean and tidy - perfect for a weekend in London. Only downside is the Draft Guinness on offer in the Bar - avoid at all costs!
b. b.
decent quality hotel in excellent location.Parking underneath hotel is very convenient although slightly pricey.Excellent breakfast.Staff ok but not the friendliest, maybe just tired and overstretched when we were there.
C. L.
Good location and great value. The only thing that could be improved is the heating system in the room. Impossible to turn off .
L. A.
Rooms are clean and generally in good order. In our room the ,TV didn't work and there was no kettle. Only found this out in the the morning. It's a good location. Pillows are like cardboard, ask for more.

Food was absolutely normal for an international hotel. Nothing special but also nothing one could take offence at despite cultural or religious backgrounds. My friend is Jewish, we talked with several Muslim guests, and we were served by a charming Irish(?) woman. My friends accommodation was clean and fresh, albeit perhaps a trifle tired.
A. T.
Every time I come to London I stay in your beautiful hotel with plenty of satisfaction and I will do it again in my next trip. Staff is friendly and professional, rooms are great and well equipped.
I know that due to the pandemic now the cleaning service is only every 3 nights (if the stay is more than 4 nights) and upon request, but I disagree with this matter, because it's not enough to keep a minimum of hygienic standard. This time in addition we had troubles to obtain the cleaning in our two cleaning days (we stayed for 8 nights). In the day 3 we asked twice to the reception (morning and early afternoon) but they had not enough staff to do it (so, cleaning delayed on the next day). On the day 7 we asked twice to the reception (morning and early afternoon), but they simply forgot to do it (so, cleaning delayed to the next day). We were offered of two drink voucher and a breakfast as compensation and we appreciate it so much, but I think the organization has to improve and the usually smart cleaning standard of Tara (every day) has to come again to ensure high level hygiene inside and outside the rooms. The corridors were full of bags and waste in the afternoon and I did not appreciate it.
The rooms are cleaned up without the guest so every contact is avoided.
A. R.
Very short of expectations based on the booking.com listing:
- 'Double' bed was two singles pushed together
- 'City view' was the back side of another hotel.
- There were signs of not-very-complete cleaning before our arrival
- (Liquid spills dried onto multiple surfaces)
- No cleaning took place during our 4-night stay
Staff were pleasant, location good, and the room more or less served its purpose for us, but it was disappointing overall.
A. C.
The location, comfort and cost of the hotel is very good. Whilst we understand that you are short staffed due to the pandemic, the staff you did have were very rude and abrupt. For example, when I checked in, the staff member stood and stared at me until I spoke first, there was no can I help you or welcome to the hotel. When I asked if I could check in he reply was yep! The bar staff were doing their best but were in dire need of some very basic bar training. Another area that we didn't like was the fact that there was no housekeeping for a stay of three nights. If you need to do this due to staff shortages then make sure rooms are adequately stocked with toilet rolls and tea bags etc. Leaving rubbish outside the room for hours on end awaiting collection was not very pleasant either.
S. C.
Good Hotel. I suggest to choose top floors. The down floors were not hygienic. Reception and the staff were good especially the security in the reception
J. J.
The breakfast we had and the stay overall was great and pleasant. Will definitely recommend it to family and friends.
M. p.
Service at Front desk excellent, although no Children experience package available.
Breakfast was fantastic.
We slept well,
On arrival to bedroom the door to the Double room was locked, We at 1st thought that maybe an error had occurred on booking and was worried that maybe we would not all have somewhere to sleep. Not great at 4 o'clock in the afternoon with then the evening planned events on hold, this was resolved after about 20 mins.
The room seemed ok, But my 6 year old son bought an almost used bottle of fanta fizzy drinks bottle to me from his fridge in his room which must have been from a previous guest, this made me question given that the fridge had obviously not been cleaned out, had the room had a Hoover put around once, and the furniture even been cleaned, This was not great given the current circumstances and the fact that trying to get back to some normality that even housekeeping seemed to not be doing the basic fundamentals of there job.
I did not raise this issue at the Hotel as they probably or you could say obviously don't seem to bothered.
On checking out / collecting our bags we came aware of another guest unsatisfied of the same issue of lack of cleanliness in there room.
It seems that house keeping are not doing there job properly or not being given adequate time to carry out there tasks.
Given that we did not raise this issue, it is now only on arriving home and being asked for feed back that this issue has come to light to yourself.
On reflection I probably should have mentioned this at the Hotel desk, but then given that we have booked a short break and we had a tight schedule with 2 children to also get ready, time spent at the Desk was not a choice especially given that we had already had confusion with the family room.
Any how given the issue was with House keeping what was we set to achieve??
I hope that on me giving this feed back you may also take the time to also respond to myself.
My email address is
Many thanks.

The perssonel are very welcoming, smiling,
I like to start my day with them
I see Jasmine evey day with high energy and smile all the time , I appreciate all the people work and hospitality

Stayed for one night on business. Got a good deal that included car parking however the car park is tiny and it was difficult to squeeze my car in.
Location is excellent for Kensington, and just two minutes walk from the tube station.
My room decor was tired looking but clean. Walls were very thin so a lot of the night was spent listening to the family in the next door room with children that refused to sleep.
The hotel itself could do with a revamp but under current Covid circumstances, it felt clean and safe.
Staff were helpful but not especially friendly.
Breakfast was average.
I would stay here again on business because of the excellent price and its location (£70 city break offer including car parking £25 food and drink), however even if you're paying a higher room rate, don't expect a luxurious stay.
K. H.
Slowest reception staff! Lifts are a complete pain in the a**. It's a half way hotel for party people. We came in at 12.30am and someone had been sick out on the lobby floor. Staff put a sign next to it and it was left there hours. Really off putting. More security needed outside as it gave off an unsafe vibe.
In a nutshell the lobby and internal building has beautiful decor and rooms were basic but clean.
M. S.
Booked the room at 9:30am, checked in and upgraded at 11:30 with no wait. Reduced parking fee downstairs and very convenient. Close to Kensington High Street attractions. Friendly and helpful staff on reception. We will be back soon.
R. L.
Great location. Rooms are a little tired. Buffet breakfast is plentiful but dull. Hot plates would help as food is never hot.
L. P.
Didn't stay in the hotel but good for parking in Kensington. Booked via an app and read only £6 for a couple of hours. Chapter than just turning up at hotel.
E. F.
Had a lovely 2 night stay, comfy, clean rooms. Great location for exploring London. Only downside was fridge not working and no satellite channels available on the TV.
D. L.
Hotel location is good - walking distance to underground station.
Rooms fine - clean and beds comfortable.
A couple of issues (probably related to Covid restrictions):
Limited bar service - we were asked for last orders at 9.40pm. Coffee bought at the bar was £3.50 for small cup. Rooms not cleaned for the duration of our stay (2 nights).
P. B.
NOT a 4* hotel! The first room they gave us was so very poor. The furniture might have come from a clearance sale & been beaten up in transit. Very long queues of disgruntled customers at reception.
The food at breakfast was plentiful and varied...but devoid of taste. Presumably it all came from the freezer.
A very disappointing stay.
S. A.
A great location and comfortable beds. The hotel is showing its age and is in need of a solid revamp. Good value though in London central and clean and neat overall.
T. H.
We stayed a couple of times previously although not for 5 or 6 years and since we always enjoyed our stay before we did not hesitate to book again especially at the low price on offer. We arrived at midday and as expected the room wasn't ready so we dropped the bags, changed in the toilets and headed in to town. We returned back at 10pm to find few staff on reception and a huge queue of people wanting reception for check in and other questions. The first room we were given had a stale stench of cigarette smoke. The room was changed without any difficulty. In the second room, the fridge wasn't working although since it was so late we never reported it. The breakfast was of especially poor standard a lot of it cold even though it was supposedly being kept hot. Due to our disappointment, we will go somewhere else next time we are in London.
F. T.
Reception was chaotic, far too few staff to deal with the number of customers. We has to wait for our room to be ready beyond the check-in time. Breakfast was adequate but with little choice of juices or cereals. Executive Lounge was shut which was a disappointment as the hotel bar was dreary
R. W.
The hotel is well located, front of house staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, if a little dated and the wall paper was drab to say the least. The ladies toilers near the tea room were very tired with a broken seat in one of the cubicles. However the most disappointing thing was the breakfast. The hot food looked overcooked,
And when we tasted it, it was tepid at best, we came to breakfast at 8.30am so not late. The pastries were also overcooked, most of all the breakfast looked uncared for! The worst hotel breakfast my husband and I have had ever!
O. T.
Check-in was smooth and easy.
Tea was inexcusably late, but good when if finally arrived.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Phone system was down, so one had to go down to reception for evrything.
But staff were friendly and helpful.
A. G.
Previously stayed here in the past and
very happy with hotel hence rebooked. Stayed for 3 days as Birthday treat. Noisy ineffectual heating on room. Damp smell in corridor and in room. Cleaning standard not what I would expect. No room cleaning service for 3 days. Breakfast quality not what it has been in past. Staff in reception very busy but kund and helpful. No housekeeping to resolve issues, reception staff trying their best.
All blamed on Covid but not so sure....must do better. Only redeeming feature was low cost compared to the past.
S.
Beautiful hotel. Lovely and clean. We were near the top of the hotel and had a wonderful view over London. Breakfast was good , with plenty of choices. Would definitely go back again.
S. T.
Brilliant location, good value for money, comfortable stay, good breakfast, would definately stay here again.
K. C.
Andrei Ticau and team were extremely kind, welcoming and made us feel at home! I made an enquiry with Copthorne Tara Kensington on the telephone and then Andrei called me back and booked rooms for my family and sorted everything out for our visit to London!
Andrei and team were extremely friendly and went out of their way to welcome me and my family.
They also made the occasion extra special by providing a birthday cake for both of my parents who's 60th birthday it was!
The hotel was great value for money and the hotel was very clean, tidy and looked great! Breakfast was very good, tasty and had lots of options - they even catered for veg/vegans! Great experience all round!
I will ALWAYS recommend staying at the Copthorne Tara Hotel Kensington to anybody visiting London!
Thank you so much! You made the whole experience a magical memory for my family and we will never forget it!
L. P.
Staff all across the hotel were very friendly , from reception to the chambermaids , breakfast was very enjoyable and again staff there working hard to keep things running smoothly . Was there with my partner this week and we hope to stay there again
N. A.
Breakfast is good and decent. But a lil bit of variety doesn't hurt. Service is good and waiters are polite and helpful.
A. R. M.
Overall stay was ok but a few annoying things.
1) Toilet seat was loose in one of the rooms and despite someone coming to 'fix' it, they didn't really make much difference.
2) No lift from car park to reception and bedrooms. The stairs were also not well located and very poorly signposted.
3) Rooms were not cleaned during our stay citing a clean every 3 days due to Covid. I don't think this is a policy adhered to by all hotels and as a result had to phone and ask for body wash, shampoo etc to be able to take showers.
4) I booked the hotel because it had car parking but after making the booking I was told parking was not guaranteed and that it was first come, first served. This was disappointing although we did manage to get a space.
H. G.
Lovely reception team special thanks to Anita for all her support! :-)
Everything went well from check in until check out
Friendly and professional team at front desk
Clean and comfy bedroom.
Amazing location.
Ps : our daughter loves the copthorne teddy bear thank you again!
We would definitely come back again
Thank you
F. H.
Good hotel, with lots of positives e.g. reception staff, LOCATION... however a little bit tired e.g. shower sealant worn, extractor fan should be fitted in bathroom, oversized and noisy air con, sheets a little tatty.
Overall paid for the location and did not disappoint. The check in staff were extremely helpful and welcoming.
The bar staff were quite inexperienced and we waited a fair time for some drinks. Lots of staff not doing a great deal. Ordered two beers before a man ordered two coffees, and the bar staff prioritised the coffees instead of the beers, unfortunately.
T. T.
Rooms were good size and air-con worked well. Bathroom tap/shower combination unit was leaking and faulty (run bath and shower runs too and vice versa!!). Also rust on bath handles.
Hotel is a busy hotel so expect the usual early morning noise from next door room etc.
Location is excellent.
As a side, I booked room via booking.com; however when completing the booking and clicking Finish, the room cost had risen by over 10%!
I did contact booking.com (phoned) and they did say they would refund the difference after my stay! Although alot of hassle making calls, etc for this. Very poor of Hotel to change rate "on the fly" (which apparently they can and do do!!)
S. A.
Great stay. Very useful to be able to park at the hotel and take public transport to explore London. Staff very helpful and good English breakfast. Rooms and bathrooma dated but good sized and functional.
D. S. C.
Enjoyed an excellent stay whilst in London for a concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
Great room on the 11th Floor. Ate a good lunch in the Brasserie and enjoyed the buffet breakfast.
D. S.
The copthorne hotel isn't a bad hotel. However there is lots of improvements to be made. Firstly the rooms are quite small and so have two single beds and a pull out bed in the room makes no time for moving around. Also the bathrooms are old and shabby and need updating.
Due to covid there was no cleaning of the room however, this meant everytime something was needed you had to go all the way to the front desk to grab something and that meant getting all the way back in line. Something should be put in place like putting fresh water, towels, teas outside the room in a basket for guests in the morning.
The lobby area was nice and spacious breakfast was kind of monotonous. There should be more options and it should be hot and the hash browns were extremely dry.
When I went in the room there was hairs in the bathroom area.
M.
I am living in London but I had to stay in that hotel for one week because we had a construction at our home.
Th most important things about them : Dog friendly
The stuff:
they are friendly and hepful. A guy was at the door and helped us a lot. A girl working in the restaurant find out that we can bring our dog into the breakfast hall.
The location: is perfect, as it is one of the most popular places in London so perfect for the tourists. However, have this in mind that the area is one of the most expensive even in London.
The room service: very good. A lady was coming to your door everyday and ask you if you need any thing.
The internet: as I was working in the room all the day I can confirm their internet is very good and stable so you can count on the internet and work there too.
C. B.
Fantastic hotel, let down by bedroom.
. Check-in: Smooth and prompt.
. Location: Fantastic! Smack bang in the middle of everything! Kensington/Hyde Park, Knights Bridge, Buckingham Palace... All walking distance.
. Restaurant: Delicious food, fantastic staff and brilliant chefs combine to provide a joyous experience.
. On the flip side, the bedroom felt tired. Windows are understandably sealed for guest security, however, the air conditioning was an absolute hoax. I can blow cooler air out of my nostrils! The privy needed a master class in a firm yet delicate flushing technique, and there are stains on the wall that could do with a spritz.
That said, we shall surely return. The staff make this hotel feel like home, and the view of London's skyline at night is to die for.
s. j.
Why don't they answer phones? Reservations and general number on their website unanswered. Expedia no better- text message of confirmation came from a number, which when called was answered by an automated computer which made no sense. Had tried calling several times over previous 3 days re parking (the key reason for choice). Still, following my complaint on check in I was "upgraded". Room was clean and comfortable and staff willing and charming.
N. V.
Breakfast is good but people are better especially Madhan Murugan he was very polite friendly and an amazing host...
J. K.
Wonderful staff, great accommodations and location. Pavan and the rest of the dining staff provided great service.

I have had a lovely few days at the Copthorne Tara. Renata checked me in and she explained everything I needed to know about the lifts etc I asked if it was at all possible to be allocated a quiet room and was given a lovely room on Floor 8. The TV in my room was broken so I reported this to reception and the TV was replaced very quickly.
I have stayed at Copthorne Tara quite a few times over the last 15 years and I love the location of the hotel. All the staff I have encountered have been friendly, efficient and polite.
I do have a problem with sleeping and I always ask for a quiet room. The soundproofing between the rooms isn't terribly good but the room I was allocated was very quiet. I only encountered loud noise on the first night of my stay when a couple in the next room were having a very loud argument. I was a single occupant of the room next door and I was so concerned, I almost rang security. I love staying at Copthorne Tara and the only thing I would reccomend to be changed is that some of the rooms be soundproofed and reserved for residents requesting a quiet room.
The hotel has undergone some renervations since my last visit which was about 5 years ago and it remains my favourite place to stay in London. This is the first time I have stayed in a Superior Room - in the past I have stayed in Standard Rooms. I enjoyed being on a higher floor and will book a Superior Room for my next visit which will hopefully be very soon.
Renata was on reception when I checked out and she asked me if everything had been ok. She was very pleasant and polite.
I have had a most enjoyable stay at Copthorne Tara. Thank you to all the lovely, hard working staff. Hope to see you all soon.
K. S.
Really pleasant hotel within a short walking distance of High Street Kensington Tube. Large entrance hall. Efficient reception staff - friendly and welcoming. Coffee area in the foyer. Well stocked bar. Function rooms spacious. Good breakfast. Large well appointed bedrooms. Very Covid secure - good signage and sanitising stations throughout. Felt really safe. Good price as well. Would definitely recommend.
A. J.
Hotel is located in a position to get around easily. We pre-booked parking but unfortunately there is no control on parking, totally overbooked - you have to be happy to bounce up a kerb if you can find a piece of waste land or a space on double yellow lines, your vehicle is at risk. The queue to check had no control and limited staff, 15 people in the queue at 3pm. From check-in, the queue for a lift was equally as long ! The rooms were clean but the corridors had rubbish and used teabags dotted around waiting to be cleared. This hotel is advertised as 4 stars but unfortunately this is for location only. It’s is tired, understaffed and poor facilities. You have to have all the time in the world and a lot of patience to stay here. Needs some serious attention.
T. M.
Nice hotel, although outdated but well kept. Enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was great.
D. W.
Great location. Hotel rooms rather dated and need attention. Breakfast restaurant chaotic and messy. Breakfast food ok. Would stay here again because of the location.
J. M.
Very good quality hotel. We loved the breakfast. Lots of choices.
C. U.
This was our first stay here, but I won’t be out last. A great base for exploring London. Staff were friendly, the room was ideal having a fridge to keep snacks in. 5 minutes from Kensington underground.
D. D. M.
As a lifelong Kensinfgon resident who's been staying July August twice weekly at the Copthorne Tara (my home is having major work)
- I know all the hotels in Ken & Chelsea.
This is the best for high quality good value rooms, impeccable courtesy and help from Ben and all the staff.
Highly recommended, an easy 10/10 .
G. B.
Excellent service, it was my birthday and they organised a cake to be brought out! Ramya was lovely and very attentive and kind! Thank you all for lovely food and service!
M. A.
Took us 30 minutes to check in after taking me 15 minutes to find a parking place, cafe was closed so couldn't get a coffee while queuing to check in..... not a pleasant arrival experience!
We entered the restaurant/brasserie area at 20.45 on Saturday, to be greeted by a waitress advising me the kitchen was closed, despite the fact it says the restaurant/brasserie serves food until 10PM (I believe).
we decided to stay and have a drink, the waitress said she would serve us, after waiting 15 minutes decided to go to the bar myself, the service at the bar was awful, I waited 20 minutes to get a drink, not the barman's fault as he was working alone with no assistance. Had one expensive drink then went up to our room!
S. P.
Had midweek break with my wife, we both enjoyed our stay. Room was very clean and tidy with a very comfy bed. All staff were friendly and helpful
A. K.
A bit disappointed the London City Break deal I booked with a Club Room was downgraded to a 'Superior' Room. The rate was lowered but with the Club Room deal I would have had £25 F&B credit so effectively I paid the same amount of money for a lesser room.
TV in room was frustratingly slow to react to any buttons pressed
S. W.
Tired looking room. Toilet struggled to flush. Some lifts not working. But room did have charging points and a good shower. Breakfast good and a great location.
P. C.
Lovely hotel but needs more staff at the front desk and more organised at breakfast times. People not adhering to rules for the lift!! No masks either 😱
d. t.
Central location, staff friendly not bad priced for a 4 start hotel but very basic, would need a revamp
P. P.
Very good hotel and helpful staff.
A. L.
Blonde receptionist no good. Security guards nice.
H. S.
Good location, good value for money, have car park - payed £29 for 24hours, room electric plug very low on floor unable to connect laptop plug ,carpet and furniture look very old .
S. H.
Great place to stay. Great warm breakfast.
A. D.
Staff polite and helpful. Stayed for a week. Good convenient location for family holidays. We didn't have any major issues. Just be aware of the train tracks at the back of the hotel which might disrupt your sleep if you are a light …
c. l.
Staff at reception were efficent and pleasant. Nice room. Overall a lovely experience. We will be back.
A. G.
Nice hotel..Breakfast was so good & tasty...
E. C.
Hotel decor was tired but had everything needed. Clean and comfortable
N. M.
Wonderful hotel. Great service. Helpful people. Polash is a great guy and very helpful person. Thanks everyone for being so nice.
I highly recommend Tara hotel. My kids are very very happy because Polash having fun and nice with my kids . We will come back again
M. R.
With Covid rules the hotel had a very good one way system. We stayed in a club room and the one thing we did miss was happy hour in the club room although we do understand why it was not open. It would of been nice to have some drink vouchers instead and we did check with reception on this. We do love this hotel and although the hotel was not as busy as usual we still have a great time and the staff were very helpful
T. H.
The welcome and service from the staff at the front desk was excellent. My husband who is mask exempt was told he cannot get a drink from the bar but because he insisted, he was allowed so only the 1 drink was purchased otherwise we may have stayed for a few more. I also thought the 1 family in the lift policy was ridiculous as the que for the lift was at times right back past the reception desk. the room was very average and tired looking but as our stay was so cheap I did not expect a top of the range room. the hotel was excellent value for money for the location. also something was wrong with the TV, when looking at the menu to see what was on, it was all mucked up so we had no idea what was on just had to slowly flick through every channel until we found something.
c. l.
Staff at reception were efficent and pleasant. Nice room. Overall a lovely experience. We will be back.
J. H.
I chose this hotel as it is about a 15 minute walk along the the main road to the Royal Albert Hall. Also minutes away from Kensington High Street Tube Station and restaurants/shops. Great Location!
H. L.
We stay there just to go to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. Perfect location, we just had little 25 minutes walk to get to the Park.
Nice room and very testy breakfast!
g. l.
Refunded money even I didn’t stay there last time . Excellent location, v busy , friendly reception, outdoor space guess how much tonight room Saturday 325£ (!)
A. M.
Decor of the rooms was a little dated and the bathroom needed an extractor fan. But the staff and the breakfast were great.
A. H.
Staff Ramya, karan and sathish are working good. Good breakfast.. coffee needs to be changed.
C. S.
Great location, staff friendly and helpful, room was fine and clean. Breakfast was poor and did not use bar as they do not do cocktails
S. p.
Decent enough place to sleep, if all you need is a place to sleep. Could do with a refurb and freshen up.
J. M.
Very comfortable beds and pillows, staff very helpful and friendly, excellant breakfast, everyone in masks, convenient location
k. w.
All good. Helpful staff, convenient parking, good location for Royal Albert Hall. Good breakfast, will be staying again.
T. H.
We had a great time here. The staff were very helpful and the room was lovely. The only down side was the breakfast was cold but I understand with the current situation they are doing everything can to make guest have a great time. Will most definitely come back.
b. p.
Very good stay, very well located hotel, copious breakfast but room not cleaned due to our stay.
M. H.
Stayed multiple times, a go to if staying in London, amazing location
Beds are comfy and nice to have a room with aircon
Rooms are a little dated but do well
Would stay again
L. T.
Check in was friendly and efficient. Stayed in a club room, clean but rather dated and nothing special. Corridors were full of rubbish but the hotel cannot be blamed for this. Breakfast was truly awful. Shown to our table without a word of explanation on the self service. The cooked breakfast was stone cold, it could actually have come from a fridge and the milk curdled. Completely inedible.
F. S.
Wonderful place to stay, and very reasonably priced. The window view was great in the morning.
y. g.
Pawan served us hot and delicious breakfast. Everything was fresh and had a wonderful time. Thanks.
m. m.
Good hotel needs a bit of maintenance on the electrics and heating... Food not bad need more menu allergies worth a return visit
A. S.
Brilliant location, very close to Kensington High Street and transport links. We have a few issues with the TVs in the room but hotel management was quick to rectify this. Overall great stay and would recommend for the price!
A.
Very well located. The tube station is very close by. Hotel is decent, restrictions due Covid are ON as of now so not all the services are available.
P. I.
Have stayed in this hotel a number of times over the years since the mid-1970s. It is now has a rather old and worn appearance compared with earlier stays.
The ground floor front-of-house staff were cheerful and helpful, and our room had an excellent view.
However, I don't think it's really acceptable for a club room to have only a double bed. We were expecting at least a queen, if not a king, for our wedding anniversary night.
Amenities: only one pair of slippers was provided, and one of the robes looked as if it had already been worn by someone else so we did not use either of them. The lighting console on the desk was completely non-functional — we had to control the lighting from the other side of the bed or from the entrance hall. One lightbulb was not working at all. The faux-leather armchair had a stain that had not been cleaned, and the desk chair was torn and worn. In the bathroom, there were uncleaned threads from a previous occupant on the ledge above the bathroom, and the earth wire on the radiator was hanging loose and could have scratched an unwary guest. We were also not impressed with the quality of the facial soap (no bath soap was provided).
The last time we stayed, we had breakfast in the Singapore room (now the Bugis Street). This time that room was not open and we were in the brasserie, which had a notable absence of healthy options if you did not want the full cooked breakfast. The room seemed understaffed. We had to wait at reception for several minutes before someone came to sign us in (although it seemed we could have just walked in without anyone noticing). Food and beverage replenishment was not on the mark, and there was just one person clearing and cleaning tables between guests. Our table was sticky and had clearly not been properly cleaned, just wiped.
On leaving, our elevator kept telling us it had a fault and would not operate. It was not possible to call another one while this one was stuck on our floor. Eventually we persuaded it to take us down to the ground floor.
So, on the whole, "faded glory" was the overarching impression. A shame for what had once been an excellent place to stay.
E. C.
Hotel decor was tired but had everything needed. Clean and comfortable
Y. A.
Top service at breakfast. Thank you so much madhan for looking after me so caringly.
I’ll definitely recommend you look for the gentleman in the restaurant
E. K.
The breakfast was excellent! The staff were really friendly and the variety was great!
L. S.
Great location, good rooms all you really need for night stay in a city. Comfortable bed and AC which in London in the summer is a must! Had a slight problem with the first room as the AC wasn't working but was switched straight away, staff very helpful.
n. r.
Breakfast was light and delicious to start my day. Satish was very helpful at the counter.
T. E.
Staff v pleasant and helpful. Lots of food rubbish left by bins by lift and in corridors, some of it for 24 hours. Room noisy as next to tube line, but other noises in the room - fridge, and heaven knows what else. The lights by the bed need to be more subtle. "Universal Lanuage" Art PV arranged be Gabriel Fine Arts, some really great Artwork and very varied in style! The room for the PV was spacious and luxurious I had a pleasant night there!

Good service and comfortable room. Breakfast staff very friendly.

It's a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. My room was not cleaned and I had to go down and get toilet paper from reception but the taff were otherwise helpful and professional. WiFi was also a bit week.
K. D.
Great location and tidy rooms.
Some reviewers on Google wondered why it has four stars as some of the equipment is fairly dated, including temperamental light switches, hit and miss heating and creaking old refrigerators in two rooms we stayed in. I think it was very modern at the time it was built (late 80's?) so some things no longer match 4 star experience, but when you combine that with a 5 star staff I feel a 4 star rating is still there.

You cannot fault value for money for such a convenient location in London. Perfect for getting out and about in the city and right by High Street Kensington underground station.
My only fault' is that the hotel itself is in need of a little tlc as the rooms are tired and dated. But, you get what you pay for and we will stay here again.
Z. Y.
Train noise from below the window was significant (we stayed at the 11th floor, windows were closed).
The parking fee is not mentioned on the website, nor on the phone call we had to verify the parking availability. We were dissappointed to learn about it on site.
We booked a three nights stay online with a promotion (1 night free), and then had to change the dates over the phone. The representative did not bother to move the promotion to the new dates. The representative on site "did us a favor" by "excepationally" grant us 1 night for free.
Other than these issues, the hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained and we did not miss anything.
K. G.
All members of staff I met were great during my stay apart from one who had a go at me at reception when I went down to ask for my child bed to be done even though I was dealing with another member of staff he just stood up and rush to us and said why did we give this paper you need to read it giving us a kind of a lesson. I just couldn't believe it I told my wife I can't happen in such respectable place unfortunately.

The breakfast is great with lots of variety but a special mention to Madhan and the other breakfast staff for their attentive service 🙏
D. C. A.
Great Location, Very Nice Staff as well as top facilities....Nice guy "Madhan" at coffee Post by d entrance and "Thiago" the Concierge is great too.......
J. J.
Great service, awesome staff, the coffe shop have a friendly environment, Madhan is a great guy and a fantastic barrister, for sure Ill return...
S. M.
The ambience and the service is great. Just what you need to start your day. Great.
A. H. C.
The hotel staff are friendly. The room was dated and had wallpaper hanging off the wall in the bathroom. Fridge did not work in the room.
Paid for breakfast for both days of our stay. We got breakfast on the first day only . Both breakfasts in a cardboard box with 1 set of plastic cutlery.
Would I go back ? ... only if there was nothing else available.
We understand that there were restrictions in place but there was no way to get any late night food in house as there was no room service to the door even..
It's a good thing Uber exists for food deliveries.
Car parking was expensive too.
A. M.
Everything it nice
And I recommend any people to try this beak fast
And if you need any help you can ask for the great man @sathish from breakfast reception 👍
D. B. S.

Basic decor but all the facilities. Stayed in family room needs updating but only paid basic price so got what I paid for. Location was very good for kensington tube not so good that the picadilly line was closed 😕
J. S.
Nice hotel but don't appreciate the cleaners or who ever it was coming in my room at 9am asking when im leaving, tell them not to do that again
J. H.
The air conditioning in the room was very hard to regulate. At night it was either too hot or too cold. Found it hard to sleep. Room very out dated. On the plus side, staff were all very friendly, the room was spotless. Fantastic Location and good breakfast.
A. W.
Always been a big breakfast fan and this place never fails to impress. Very happy & Madhan really looked after me
I. V.
The location of the Hotel is very convenient, just a few minutes walk from the Tube Station.
The rooms are a bit tired looking but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast that was delivered to the room was very good.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, this was one of the reasons why I chose to return to this hotel.

It was our Diamond Wedding year so I booked a Suite as a treat but when I arrived I was told that our Suite had been given to another guest who had "issues". Instead we were offered a smaller room with a reduction but if we wanted more space we could have 2 rooms interconnected. It seems to me the guest with issues should have been given this option as we had already booked and paid for the Suite. The Tara Hotel demonstrated a willful disregard for our booking which was made first and I have an "issue" with this decision as Diamond Weddings are a once a lifetime events. They could have phoned us before but no that would have meant showing consideration and checking if our need was greater. We reluctantly accepted the 2 rooms but there is little point in having 2 identical rooms with 2 beds, 2 fridges, t TV's, 2 bathrooms etc but no comfy sofa. The hotel is well situated for the Royal Albert Hall and the buffet breakfast very good and is value for money. However they spoilt my treat for a special occasion.
A. S.
Great place, friendly staff, good food for breakfast, Madhan at the restaurant was quite attentive
K. H. F.
London is at last open for foreigners and we have been to Copthorne TARA in Kensington earlier and it was a great pleasure to be back!
The breakfast was so good and the plates are warm!
Staff are welcoming and the location is perfect.
Buses and underground from High Street Kensington is four minutes away.
Relaxing when free Holland Park and Kensington Gardens are five minutes away by foot.
Hardly any people in London now it is not crowded so take the opportunity to visit Copthorne Tara asap!
I told my husband here in Oslo so we will go back in three days!!!!!
Hurrah!!!!!!
A. H.
I went for a Pinoy do it was really nice ball room. Door was OK bit pricy for what it was but fun.
s. m.
I bought my husband to Tara Capthorn as I used to come with friends and always had an enjoyable experience, however we opened up out bed to find a long strand of hair, breakfast was really basic not like it used to be and overall I was disappointed if I'm honest.

Had such a good time. It was my birthday and the hotel staff helped my daughter with a surprise breakfast with cake and flowers. Everyone was extremely friendly, the room was super clean. Want to thank the staff for everything! 😊

I really enjoyed my stay here. Lovely hotel and amazing staff! The breakfast is delicious and Mr. Gulzar Ahmad was wonderful by looking after us. Highly recommended!

I stayed at the Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington from 12th to 13th of August 2021 with my family. My daughter forgot her belongings in the room which we only discovered later in the evening. I rang the hotel at 18:53pm on Friday the 13th and spoke to someone at reception who advised to send an email or call in the morning as house keeping has closed for the day. I send an email (see copy below) and phoned the hotel 15 times on Saturday morning in an attempt to speak to someone but to no avail. I then travelled from Oxford Circus to the hotel in order to be able to get my daughter's belongings back and was made to wait for nearly 3 hours because the staff manning lost property were not available either because they were busy or had gone on lunch.
Waiting for such a lenght of time to be dealt with at Copthorne Tara Hotel meant we cannot visit some of the places we intended to visit and had to come away very disapointed and frustrated and felt that our visit to London had not been the experience we had hoped for
This is not the experience I expect from such a trusted brand

M. J.
Hi Pawan, I glad to have such a lovely breakfast with great hospitality.. Thanks
A. B.
The Copthorne was in the perfect location for our stay, near to Hyde Park, Albert Hall and other museums. The hotel is large and very busy yet the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
G. G.
It was a nice hotel but restaurant wasn't very inviting and very hectic for breakfast no one helping I get tables
L. S.
This was a high standard hotel. Our family room was amazing and the staff were great. Some services such as the room service is not back to operating since covid-19.
T. R.
Good priced hotel, a little tired looking in places but staff friendly and helpful. Good location
k. c. Y.
Good breakfast and cosy place, friend staffing and value for money.
S. D.
Breakfast is delicious 😋 Service was excellent. Good ambience.
D. T.
Scoring cleanliness down is unfair. On 6th floor one room seem to have enormous takeaway banquets in their room daily. But they then dumped the piles of rubbish at random points in the public areas. Getting from lift to my room could be like walking through a rubbish tip. Not the hotel's fault, but was an event that happened.
D. P.
Decent location, breakfast not the best but good value for price.
P. R.
Good hotel in a fine location. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
K. J.
Tidy room clean sadly could hear tube trains going past but after a busy day out in London you will not them
R. s.
Rooms a little tired and breakfast buffet a little on the cold side! Location great, very convenient.
C. H.
Fantastic stay with this great hotel brand, marked almost 5 stars for everything the only 1 thing was the mattress was 2 singles pushed together and you could feel the very hard separation down the middle of the bed, for a superior double the mattress should be the same and not 2 singles, the room was beautiful though and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
P. H.
Nice Hotel, friendly staff and close to the Tube station.
重.
The breakfast was good because there are a lot of valiation of meal.
R.
Breakfast was great. Delicious food and good quality.
N. R.
Breakfast was very nice plenty on offer very friendly staff

Our second visit to the Copthorne Tara and again a good value enjoyable stay with excellent attentive staff. Very convenient for South Kensington attractions.
H. P.
Mad Han was very welcoming and was very quick to clear our table when needed.
J. W.
Compared to our last visit in September 2020 we found the general standard was rather lax. We had to change room because the silly touch pad lights did not work properly. One or two other minor faults were noticed which points to a general lack of care and attention.
Our breakfasts were poor because they were cold. In fact we complained and cancelled the remaining breakfasts as they were poor value. Considering hotels were closed due to Covid, I would have thought Copthorne Tara would have done its best to ensure everything was right but only succeeded in putting us off future visits. I thought they were better than that. We fealt that
G. T.
Comfortable beds, rooms are pleasant and breakfast was tasty
L. L.
We had the most wonderful weekend, the food was lovely and staff were super friendly.
S. K.
Just used their's car park. Good location, close to the Embassy zone.

J. C.
It was a great breakfast,
Ramya was very helpful and servicial
M. 2.
Really good price car park I used Just park app, price in other apps was much more expensive, parking spaces were a bit small but we could manage to park our 4 wheels, but we needed to take the car seat and the baby out of the car before park the car otherwise we couldn’t take them out. You can extend your booking for £.90p an hour.
I. W.
Very “the shining” like appearance but fantastic front of house staff, the rooms are clean and mattresses great, please replace the bricks I mean pillows!
I. C. H.

Stayed overnight after watching Chelsea match - we love this hotel - everyone really helpful - rooms are great - location super - had a great time.
D. O.
The hotel was excellent for location etc. The only issue we had was that the bar closed too early so we could not have a drink before going to bed.
M. Z.
Friendly reception and service. Higher floors have a good view to the city of London which makes your room stay pleasant. Great location and lots of shops and restaurants are within few minutes walk from hotel. Also metro station is just 5 minutes away. There only items that you need to consider is that railway line is just behind the building and it makes it a bit noisy, however 2 layers glass windows stop much noises. If your room neighbours are noisy then you can easily hear them which is not good. In general I was happy with my stay.
D. M.
The room was nice and big but the room had damp smell this was due to the air con leaking and the carpet was wet.
S. M.
Lovely staff and venue, can be a little slow but very helpful once they get the chance to help you
l. b.
Excellent Buffet Breakfast,
And a special mention of Ramaya!!!
Excellent Hospitality!!!

J. K.
Nice breakfast everything is good madhan greated me with kind
J. E.
For the rate I paid this is a great hotel in a great location. Room although a bit tired was emmaculately cleaned, no dust or dirt anywhere. Even in Cv19 you can get a decent hot meal and OK box breakfast. 8/10 will stay again
G. S.
Neat and nice, cozy place to have a perfect stay.
K. J.
Stay was cozy as always …
Staff at the restaurant was quite courteous…

Just spent a night at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensington with my two daughters. Just a two minute walk to Kensington High Street and only five minutes to the beautiful Kensington Palace and Gardens. What a fabulous hotel this is and the staff went out of their way to make us welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Gave us two adjoining rooms which was more like a suite which we loved. Really clean and comfortable. Every luxury you would want from a 4 star hotel and more. Delicious breakfast in the morning and use of their car park all day after we checked out. Would highly recommend and will be returning.
P. M.
Lovely hotel with brilliant location. Higher floor have great views of the London skyline . Staff members wery helpfull / friendly. Clean rooms with good size comfortable beds also very good food . Highly recommended.!!
O. H.

D. B.
Helpful staff, excellent amenities, great location and really good value for money.
S. H.
Great place to stay. Great warm breakfast.
t. 1.
We had a nice time. Although it's in the city centre, the streets nearby are not so busy so it's not noisy. The hotel itself is a bit outdated, but we had everything we asked and paid for and we will come back definitely.
G.
I stayed here last year and always best place to park the car when you coming to London for a day or night.
They have updated the parking rates please check the picture on this review :

A. W.
Clean , nice place, close to shops,
A. A. Y. V.
The coffee shop was a great Madden doing the moca in amazing way , thanks a lot
H. A.
Needs a renovation specially inside the rooms and bathrooms. Cleaning isn’t done purposely but just for the sake of ticking a checklist.
N. S.
Nice hotel but quiet old interior, hence old furnished bathrooms and rooms. Rooms were somewhat clean but the daily cleaning services weren’t the best. Breakfast is good. Staff is helpful and friendly, however, we ordered an extra bed and when we reached the hotel there were no pillows and we were informed that they don’t have pillows left...
T. G.
The latte was too good Service was excellence..Maden did his best
T. D.
Our room wasn't made ready for 3pm so we had to wait on arrival. At 7.40am we were awoken by a knock on the door from housekeeping to see if they could get in and clean the room
s.
Nice friendly staff... very welcoming!! Not stayed for long but room was very clean and functional. Not great for parking which is limited and quite expensive so i recommend parking elsewhere and then getting an Uber to get around. All in all, was a great bargain for a room and breakfast.
P. P.
Very good hotel and helpful staff.
A. G.
Nice hotel..Breakfast was so good & tasty...
S. T.
Loved it clean and staff very helpful.plenty of car park spaces
G. D.
Decent hotel for its price, given the fact that it is located in a relatively expensive area.
E. G.
The breakfast is exellent and the service by madhan was perfect
J. B.
This was our second stay at this hotel. It is close to the High Street Kensington tube station and convenient for the Royal Albert Hall and the museums. We paid for an upgrade on arrival to get the Executive Club benefits. We had a quiet room on Floor 11 at the front of the hotel. The room was comfortable but a little dated in its furniture and fittings. Cleaning could have been better. The buffet breakfast was fine but could have a wider selection available. For example no porridge, poached eggs or hash browns. Staff are pleasant and helpful. We will probably use this hotel again when we next visit London.
C. G.
Good value for money, spacious rooms, good breakfast but after a while it becomes quite unpleasant to eat same things every morning (for stays longer than 1 wk)
R. R.
Great car park, very close to Kensington high Street. Spent a whole day there.
T. W.
Breakfast was excellent! Paban took care of us
H.
Nice place to recharge batteries while being in London. With no doubt it is always my first option.
F. P.
2nd visit to this hotel. Good location for many amenities and a handy tube station. Rooms are comfortable and clean and no complaints about the helpful and friendly staff. Breakfasts offer something for everyone and the bar meals are very reasonably priced. A new addition to the hotel is a coffee shop in the Lobby with a good selection of snacks, cake and nice coffee. Definitely planning more visits.
D. E.
Nice hotel but a bit tired, could be much better.
Our room was very noisy, we found it difficult to relax or sleep, other than that the bed was comfy and the room spacious.
We were given no information at the reception when we checked in, neither was there any information in the room. We had to ask at reception to find out where and when breakfast was.
The most recent email from the hotel via Expedia, said they had put together a little welcome pack with regards to our stay. Cannot image what it was, because we didn't see anything.
M. S. S. a.
The breakfast is so good.Jasmine and Pawan is the best
G. G.
Perfect location, lovely staff and great value for money. Highly recommended
