Reviews of Crowne Plaza London - Ealing by IHG
Really useful location for Central Middlesex Hospital. We stayed in the suite, which was okay, but but not as advertised and could have benefited from some air conditioning (even in October!). The food was really nice, especially the buffet breakfast. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the club lounge - no TV remotes, computers were painfully slow, canapes were disappointing and soft drinks only available for a short time.
Our stay at the Crowne Plaza London Ealing was truly delightful! From the moment we arrived, the staff across all departments—reception, housekeeping, restaurant, and bar—were exceptionally helpful and accommodating.
We stayed here in July
A special mention goes to Devansh from the restaurant team, who went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Even though the breakfast buffet didn’t have a specific dish we were craving, he took the extra effort to arrange it for us. This level of personalized service is rare and greatly appreciated!
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was welcoming and pleasant. We would highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service and dedication to guest satisfaction. Looking forward to staying here again!
I had the pleasure of dealing with Ammi who is an absolute diamond. A caring and thoughtful manager who genuinely cares about her guest’s will be recommending this hotel for years as long as she’s around. Very clean hotel and respectful staff. Highly recommended
During my recent business trip to Crowne Plaza London Ealing, I had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional service and dining. The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from Hanger Lane Underground Station, providing easy access to central London.
The W5 Restaurant offers a diverse menu with a variety of seafood options. The dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients, showcasing the chef’s commitment to quality and flavor. The restaurant’s ambiance is both welcoming and professional, making it an ideal setting for business meals.
I would like to commend Dev from the restaurant for his attentive and professional service. His knowledge of the menu and dedication to guest satisfaction enhanced my dining experience.
Additionally, Shaheen at the hotel reception provided outstanding assistance. Her friendly demeanor and efficiency made the check-in process seamless and set a positive tone for my stay.
Overall, my visit to Crowne Plaza London Ealing was highly satisfactory, and I look forward to returning in the future.
One of the best Crowne Plaza I ever stayed in Uk, it’s so nice and beautiful inside, the staff are super friendly, the room is massive and comfortable, definitely will be one of my favourite ones
The hotel offers spacious, clean rooms that are perfect for a relaxing stay. The hotel bar is a pleasant spot to unwind, with reasonably priced drinks. A major plus is the hotel's convenient location, right next to the tube station, making it easy to explore London.
Unfortunately, the service was a bit impersonal, with staff appearing disinterested. A warmer welcome would significantly enhance the guest experience.
Overall, a decent choice for accommodation with comfortable rooms and a great location, but the service could be improved.
From the moment I arrived I was welcomed by the very lovely Sujata who took care of me from start of stay till the end. Helped me find a room suitable for my needs and was so understanding and genuinely caring. Also very hard working front desk helpers Shahin and Tanash. So beautiful and kind and I highly recommend the hotel solely for the service and appreciation of their customer service. The food in restaurant is nice and all the staff actually make an effort to take care of their guests there is security out front and an amazing lounge and coffee machine. I will be extending and coming back for sure! Thankyou again tanesh and Shahim for your long hours at reception! you’re star employees
Slightly vintage vibe, very spacious, decent breakfast. A bit difficult to find though, I got turned around after getting off the tube but got there in the end. Would stay again.
This is a very pleasant hotel. Rooms are quite spacious, clean and can be serviced daily (your choice). Location is adjacent to Hanger Lane underground. There is parking (at a price). The restaurant is good but a bit pricey. Breakfast is buffet style covering all tastes. Service is very good. A good IHG hotel.
Everything was amazing during our stay. Great service, cleanliness, quietness and the location were perfect. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Thank to all, specially to Tamannah:)
I stayed from the 13/10 -14/10/24, great service from Shamim and Liki from the late/night shift. Only one negative which is I was informed on check in that I would be eligible for 50% off f&b (as entitled to as an employee) including my breakfast. However, when it was time to check out the two lady’s just processed the pre-auth and when I asked for an invoice I saw that my discount had not been applied and I was told this is not something offered and it was left at that. They didn't even seem like they wanted to try and resolve the situation. I find this strange both because I’m an employee and a manager and my hotel but also because I have stayed at several other IHG establishments including other crowne plaza’s and I have been able to use my employee discounts. So maybe in the future please communicate more clearly between staff in order to avoid miscommunication and issues like this.
A great choice to stay in "central" London at a very affordable rate and in a more than decent lodging. Spacious room, clean and big beds, clean bathroom; all in Crowne Plaza standards.
Staff in reception are really nice and attentive (shout out to Sujata, she helped us all the way during our check-in, thank you!). It's right next to a subway stop in Central Line, 30 mins away from Oxford Street. And, again, not as ridiculously expensive as 90% of the hotels in the city of London.
My second stay in the hotel and it did not disappoint. Very helpful reception team throughout my stay - helped me with some incoming parcels.
Wonderful bar and restaurant staff, so pleasant do talk to, very attentive and happy to help. Breakfast team super nice , welcomed me every morning with a smile and a nice conversation. I felt welcomed at all times ! Breakfast buffet was always kept full and tables clean.
Well done on the new dinner menu! I was so happy to see it changed since old menu was just a typical hotel food. New menu is unique, not standard and interesting. I had 3 dinners in the hotel and all dishes were very tasty!
Another surprise - ground floor bedroom. I expected for room to be noisy, as most of ground floor rooms are, but was surprised by how quiet it was.
I’m sure I’ll return. Thank you
I stayed here on 16th/17th. I have to say that i was checked in by a lady by the name of Shahin, she was extremely helpful and very polite, she is a real credit to the hotel. Often we complain aboiut service but do not recognised good service. I want to say that this lady was truely very helpful and was a pleasure to checkin with her. Thank you for a great stay.
Quick note of thanks to Sujata @ Reception who went out of her way to help with my stay at Crowne Plaza .
I had documents to print and Taxis needed nothing as a problem . Keep up the good work .

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean and very comfy bed. Meals in the restaurant were nice and restaurant staff very helpul.
Staff sounded experienced but when push comes to shove could not handle simple queries when asked the night manager in specific boasted about all the hotels he’s worked at but failed to acknowledge about IHG’s policies regarding recognition of being a member he was also unsure about what the rooms fully entailed unfortunately the lady next to him wasn’t too great also shifted me over to her so she could check me in and had clearly thought she was better at handling questions but unfortunately I would not agree. IHG’s policies may need to be retrained for these colleagues thanks
Our family stayed here for few days and it was a comfortable and lovely stay. Hotel is close to public transport and staff is very friendly. We were always attended well at breakfast table by Harsh. Rooms are spacious. Overall our family enjoyed the time!
Booked two months in advanced, booked a "Twin" room.
Turned up and was given a double room, asked staff and was told i booked a "standard room"
Double room was cheaper than the "twin" when i was booking.
Had to ask for spare blanket and duvet, two duvets where delivered to the room.
When arriving there was a single member of staff on the front desk. This staff member quickly abandoned the front desk in order to help a checking out guest with luggage storage.
After helping said guest the front desk was left unattended while a queue of guests waiting to book in grew out of the front doors.
Besides the bed situation, the room itself wasnt very appealing. Strange off yellow drips on the walls, what looked like mild mold by the vents, cupboard doors looking like they where dragged down the road, large scratch in the mirror and the bedside lamps looked like someone had punched them. Due to this my companion had anxiety over cleanliness of the bed and the security of the room
Staff where friendly during direct interactions, but often left the front desk unattended with no way to politely gain staffs attention.
Cleaning staff where lovely, polite and chatty
Breakfast. I didnt order it when i booked or arrived, but decided in the morning we would get some. Was told one price for breakfast but was charged double at the time. There was also a lack of selection and confusion on type of service with some aspects being self serve others being waited.
The pastries during breakfast where both cold and stale having been left out to open air and only covered with a light napkin
Externally the building and lobby where well kept, but due to temporary fencing access for vehicles was very limited.
The hotel is classy and a lovely place to stay. The rooms very comfortable and clean. Location perfect. I do stay a lot at this hotel and last year around 3 months of the year and the downfall is the food menu is minimal and the portions have gone smaller and the prices higher.
Other than the food variety and prices everything else 10/10
We had an enjoyable and comfortable stay at the Crowne Plaza, our room was spacious, well appointed and well lit with a well maintained bathroom. Definitely recommended!
I've attended a meeting here and after, we have decided to have some dinner. I can tell that the service from Ioana, the bar attendee ( not quite sure if this was her name) was at the top. Also the waitress was very attentive. I eat a Vegan Curry, which was delicious and I saw my colleagues have finished their food also, so definitely was delicious. I recommend the restaurant from this hotel.
One of the worst hotels in IHG group. Access cards doesn’t work, employees lack motivation, poor breakfast quality, cleanliness is of low standard. Clear instruction given to release pre-authorisation after I did the payment but still pending to be released. I regret my decision to stay here
We booked last minute, but the staff were so friendly and did their best to make everything ready for us. The hotel and our room were so beautiful, and we loved it! I would’ve just loved if we had seperate quilts. Because we asked for this in the middle of the night, one of us had to sleep with a duvet cover, and not a quilt. Other than that, everything was amazing!
This is a short review as the overall experience was positive. Some parts of the hotel appear more refurbished than others, but those less so were still fine and I have no negative comments.
Unfortunately (when recognising the efforts of staff), I am not allowed in reviews to include any personally identifiable information, such as full names. However, if the General Manager of the hotel reads this review or wants to make contact privately, the younger of the chefs working on the morning of 10 Aug deserves special mention, as this person went above and beyond with service.
Everybody was really nice and the service was fast. The hotel was not too busy and the room was a good size. the menu was a bit lackingspecifically the drinks menu. Reception was great and breakfast was amazing
I have recently stayed in crowne plaza for business purpose. The room were okay location was not that great and payment for car park ,but the staff service were really commendable. I want to mention shahin at front desk great services.
The hotel in general was very nice and the room was very spacious, but a few points need attention. The mattress was too soft, asked reception for an extra pillow, but never got one. The room was clean, but there was stains down the toilet and under the rim.
We did have a pleasant stay and would return.
There are signs of time but that doesn’t affect my overall impression on this hotel - great location just opposite to Hanger Lane. Staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are neat and clean.
Hotel staff were pleasant. Room was clean and aesthetically nice. Hotel was located a short walk from the London subway(this worked well for us). This hotel is a 20 minute subway ride into central London.
Amanda on the front desk was amazing and extremely helpful. She went out of her way to assist with my questions and queries and made the stay easy relaxed and comfortable. Thank you very much.
Nice hotel. Good location with bus stops and underground close by. Lovely, spacious twin room. A few minor issues, stains on curtains, bathroom door not fully closing, fridge doesn't seem very cold. But a nice stay nonetheless.
Finding somewhere to staff for 5 people at short notice wasn't easy, but we found the ideal place. The hotel can be a bit awkward to get in/out when driving, but it's clean, well presented, and the staff are all friendly whilst professional. There appeared to be a lack of available parking spaces, with some fences preventing access, but a security guard did regularly patrol the grounds, so we knew our cars were being looked out for.
We accidentally left some property behind after our stay, and staff were quick to arrange it's return.
Staff were busy at reception but polite and apologetic about the delay getting through the queue.
Bar and breakfast staff were exceptional.... Particularly Ramya and Pedro. Both had an excellent 'can do' approach to my queries and with a smile too.
Lovely staff. Harsh, Umang & Devansh and the person from Goa made us feel welcome and took care to make our breakfasts enjoyable.
Convenient location even if far from city centre. The Hangar Hill a mere 10 minute walk away is a great way to start the day. Downside is the limited items on the menu and very ordinary tasting food. Room was spacious.
Thank you CP Ealing. This was such a surprise to me to find this hotel . It's position is excellent and it's services are very good especially the kind staff
I was welcomed by Amanda , Iona , Reisa and one other friendly lady at reception . They knew I was a Diamond member and immediately upgraded me to a suite room without even asking . I was so impressed at their kindness and professional manner.
Slept very well and got ready for my travels the next day . But not before a fantastic full English breakfast in the company of yet more superb staff . I spoke to Pedro , Saad , Briton and Megrin who made me feel like a star , genuinely interested in me and what I was doing in the UK . What a refreshing change from other places I've been to all over the world .
The hotel is also 50 yards from the Hangar Lane tube stop so getting into London is a breeze . This is a good London hotel for those who're looking for fair value and convenience.
Thanks again I'll be back .

The comfort of the guest rooms and kindness and attentiveness of staff are the real stars here. Pedro has superstar charm, anticipating guest needs and attending to them. Other aspects are comparable with other chain hotels. Parking has potential to be problematic, great access to Hanger Lane tube station. Great to see fish as an option for breakfast, top marks to the chef. Ordered a burger and fries to take to room, as restaurant was closing. Not usually a fan of burgers, but this was superb quality, warm and very tasty.
Lovely stay, very clean, comfortable rooms and lovely breakfast. Excellent service from Jordan on reception when had trouble checking out. Would highly recommend
Review:
I wanted to arrive by bicycle, so I called the reception beforehand to confirm if this was possible. Unfortunately, I was told that bicycles are not allowed. I’m not sure why this policy exists, but I believe you should consider allowing guests to use bicycles. It would be a great, eco-friendly option and provide more convenience for those who prefer cycling.
Updated after reply: I hope Crown Plaza will have parking for bicycles.
