Great hotel, pretty reasonable price for the location and quality. We were relieved to get two rooms here when our flight was cancelled and we were stranded in London for a couple of days. The rooms were very comfortable and well-appointed for a mid-priced hotel. The bathrooms were fine, but the shower doors were odd; a sort of innovative design that maybe should be reconsidered. No big issue.
The in-house restaurants seemed pretty pricey based on a quick glance at the menus, so we didn't try them out. The staff in the lobby was very helpful.

This is one of my favourite hotels in the city. The rooms are well appointed and always clean. The standard of the bathrooms is also very good. The location is excellent, only a short walk to the west end theatres, St Paul's and Borough Market. We'll worth a look for a weekend away.

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of days during Feb’20.
Great location👍🏻
The hotel is located right at the central part, the touristic places are placed very close to the hotel.
The rooms are good and comfortable, with all the necessities.
The hotel staff are quite friendly. The room service is quite good, and prompt. The food is pretty bland, as per the Indian standards- but would suffice other nationals.
The breakfast is good, with wide range of options avaialble.
The price is on the higher side, but the location calls out for the price.
Overall it was a good stay.

Extremely welcoming, great quality & fantastic location!
I was in town for business & found the hotel to be a great location as it is opposite Blackfriars station which has access to both train & tube.
The staff were extremely welcoming & friendly. My room was spacious & well equipped, making my stay very comfortable. The food at the bar & lounge was also delicious!
I had a great stay & would recommend.

One of the best guest experiences I have had if not the best. The staff here takes great care of you before you even arrive. The personal touches guest services provides from start to finish are top notch. Rooms are nice with more space than you will typically get in London and I was upgraded to a spacious room. The location is great as well in Central London. Easy access to wherever you might want to go. You get treated like royalty here. Great for work or personal travel.

Such a great hotel! From entering the hotel, you are greeted with their magnificent lobby which has a bar and sitting area. Reception was one of the best and friendliest I've encountered. I was able to upgrade my room at a very reasonable rate also I was given early check in which was a lifesaver! I recommend double checking about breakfast because it states breakfast is free but they tried to charge us. Overall I absolutely loved the hotel. Very close to shops and right across from blackfriars station! literally a five minute walk so you can't beat that!

Peace and Tranquility surrounds you
Creative vibes all around
We stay at this hotel every time we are in central London, the location is amazing as it’s very close to the embankment and Covent Garden. The staff and service are always amazing. The hotel rooms are spacious clean and very comfortable.
We enjoy using the bar area to relax or work, very good facilities for those like us who work off there laptop.
Highly recommended.

Only stayed one night but what an impressive looking foyer and what great staff that work there. At check in I had wake up call and taxi booked for morning without any issue.
Room was well stocked and complimentary water is always a bonus.
Comfortable bed and clean bathroom, what else do you need.

In one word "Excellent". One of the best concierge experiences I have had. Before my arrival i tried emailing concierge for some early arrival requests and man they delivered. Lee and his team went above and beyond for us. Got us a room upgrade and small room amenities which was such a great gesture from them.
I highly recommend them and would definitely will be back.

The building itself was absolutely stunning. There are also two restaurants in the building (one Italian, one Chinese) which was ideal. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel offered to hold our languages after checkout. Our room was however slightly outdated but mostly we were just next to services doors which made sleeping after 7am close to impossible.

I had a really top notch experience here with my family. We stayed for 5 days and they had the most helpful concierge we found, they were so helpful in acclimating us in a city we had never been to before. Rooms were clean and water pressure was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Love is hotel in the heart of Downtown London. Parking is little bit tough here but paid parking is always available. Hotel is very comfy and spacious. Rooms are very good and cleaning staff is very efficient. We love our stay here.

I only visited the sports bar as I live nearby, so I would not need to use the hotel. And I had a great time at their cozy and friendly sports bar. The staff was very friendly, the drinks were reasonably prices and overall the ambiance was excellent. This bar is very well located in the middle of London near Saint Paul's Cathedral, highly recommended.

As an IHG Loyalty Member at a high level, I believed that this hotel did not respond honorably in respect to a cancellation charge. However, management ultimately came thru. To that end, I am thankful. However, I hope management both educates and empowers the front line staff to make customer service decisions which are ultimately sensible and pragmatic, with the realization that such education and empowerment will likely have a long-run positive impact of potential repeat visits and positive reviews. With that said, I found the hotel best due to it's location for both business and tourism. The rooms are a bit worn, but comfortable. I have to especially commend the cleaning staff who were exceptionally friendly, flexible and effective in servicing the room. In fact, I wonder if they shouldn't be considered for front desk opportunities! Hats off to the House Cleaning manager. So, due to the location and the servicing of the room, and ultimately management coming thru, I give the hotel 3 stars...it would have been 4 if my issue had been resolved immediately by the front desk or if I didn't have the issue at all. However, it would have been a 1 if the issue was not ultimately resolved. Would consider staying here on my next business trip to London. If you plan to use the underground repeatedly to get around London, this is a great location.

Our room was not services properly and I had to call for it to be done, and then had to call back to get housekeeping to come back.
The bed was small and quite uncomfortable for the 2 of us. Though the rest of the room was very spacious, a larger bed could easily be there.
On a plus side the breakfast buffet had a good selection of food.
k. c.
Great location, nice and central with fantastic access to the tube network.
Spent a few days here with my wife and had such a friendly reception, nice touches like an upgrade to a suite and complimentary bottle of wine delivered to our room once we had arrived.
We enjoyed the Lord Mayors parade as it passes strait past the hotels front doors.
Breakfast was really good, quality ingredients and very attentive service.
R. Y.
It's a clean and spacious hotel with convenient accent to tube. It has bathtub and breakfast included. Overall great hotel. However I have to say there are some areas that should be improved. (the Max number of devices connected to WiFi is 2. This should be at least 3 or 4. Breakfast is good, but not the best. Especially tea. It was sad to find out that they serve tea with tea bag not leaf.... )
S. S.
Came to the hotel lobby for a coffee and to meet someone. It was nice and quiet despite being seconds from the river, with friendly staff and they did a fantastic Mocha. The tiny brownie was awesome too. Very happy with the couple of hours I spent there.

I am not a Crowne guy, but I stayed here during a weekend layover in between meetings in Europe. The hotel is amazing! The rooms are terrific, the beds are comfy, the executive lounge...yup there’s a lounge at the Crowne was good. Not the best executive lounge—-the food needed work, and the service sucked, but it’s better than no lounge. I can’t wait to return! It’s across the street from Blackfriars tube, and a 15 minute walk to Borough Market.
R. T.
Great location, incredibly friendly staff at this location. Rooms are somewhat dated and in need of a refresh. Carpets are visibly dirty and the air conditioner was struggling to keep the room cool on days that were simply not that hot. I can not say enough about the friendliness of the staff, on several.occasions the staff surprised us with generosity and kindness! This is a solid hotel that is well managed, just in need of a simple refurb! Also, elite members do re eived recognition and premium attention and upgrades.
E. C.
A high quality hotel. The rooms are fitted out to a high standard. I can particularly recommend upgrading to a Club room as this also gives exclusive access to the Club Lounge. The service in this lounge was outstanding and much enjoyed. At all times my wife and I were looked after incredibly well by all the staff we encountered. The staff are a credit to the hotel. Being so close to Blackfriars Station is a bonus for traveling around London.
S. A.
Before we entered, we were greeted by staff and offered help with our luggage. There was a bit of confusion at check-in, but was resolved quickly as the staff tried their best to assist us. At one point we were asked about our satisfaction of housekeeping in a door-to-door survey to ensure that we were getting the best experience possible and that they did the best job possible.
L. S.
Great place to stay in London. Close to trains, buses and taxis. Breakfast was always great and the hostess were there to assist. Omelets were always fresh and made to your liking. Rooms were always clean and ready .
Z. E.
Had all the facilities I required and as a good member I was given access to the lounge which was well stocked and provided a nice extra to my trip. Location was great right opposite the train station and had a reasonably priced car park close by. Staff were friendly and resolved my mini bar issue swiftly and politely. Would stay again
S. (.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is pretty decent with some good pubs close by (Blackfriars just across the road, both the pub and train station).
Breakfast buffet downstairs was simple enough.
Also be aware that the mini fridges have a scanner, so if you take stuff out to put your own food and drinks in, they will automatically be charged. We just mentioned to the front desk, and they sorted it out quickly.
T. M.
Location is great for exploring. Rooms were a good size and very comfortable. Plenty of toiletries and fluffy dressing gownsall the niceties were there, iron, tea maker and biscuits etc. The staff on reception were exceptionally helpful and polite. Customer service of the year award goes to Pece at the Crowne Plaza love this hotel.
L. u.
Lovely hotel, conveniently located near Blackfriars station. Clean and smart. Wait staff aren't very friendly and kept removing our plates before we completed meals. Otherwise a good venue for conferences and workshops
M. P.
We booked a table for 8 on a Saturday night 45 mins before eating. They accommodated with a big table in the corner. Food was really good - standard hotel offerings but done well. The pizza really hit the spot. Calamari not oily at all. Ravioli, excellent. Pork belly was a little too salty though. Service was impeccable. Pleasantly surprised and well recommended.
R. M.
Excellent location near Black Friars station and London red buses just near the entrance. I liked the running tracks map near the entrance to lifts on Ground Floor. The employees at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is awesome with a lot of nice yummy selection.
E. a. R. H.
We were completely satisfied with the service. The room was very comfortable and the staff so helpful. We even had help fixing our flat tire, above and beyond the call of duty. Also, we enjoyed speaking with everyone especially the young lady from Milan who served us in Restaurant 19. Thank you.
A. G. B.
I really liked the hotel, excellent location, very nice crew, the waiters in the bar as nice as they could be, iron in the room (this should be mandatory by law), complimentary still and sparkling water bottles, they changed the bathrobe in a few hours after I showered in the afternoon and returned from dinner...that really made me feel well attended. I was invited so I don't know the price...might be better...
R. A.
Really nice hotel for its amenities and location. Staff super friendly and breakfast is OK+. It has a gym and a bar downstairs.
Room was nice but bed mattress was super hard.
L. L.
I had a wonderful experience at this Crowne Plaza. I was there 2 nights for work and ended up having to stay an additional night. Frederick Gerday from Guest Relations went above and beyond, giving me free breakfast, drink vouchers, and had a handwritten note with chocolate waiting in my room. The next morning he personally thanked me upon check out and assisted in printing some documents for me. Overall, this is great location and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
C. C.
The stay was fantastic! Upon arrival with my points card we were offered a drink from the bar, where their bartenders whipped us up delicious drinks. Watching him making it was truly something special. This was also the night of the London Bridge incident and the hotel welcomed people into the lobby that had no where to stay and security there were very attentive as well. Great job!
T. M.
In despite of this this is an excellent hotel with good service. The staff was very friendly and help us to find the different club and activities we were looking for. The food we had in the Club Room was great and we had a great night's sleep after a wonderful night out in London. It's the perfect hotel for a London trip.
T. M.
The welcome from the staff was very friendly and was given an upgrade to a Club Room with access to the Club Lounge. Highlight was the attentive service of the team at breakfast. Room was good if a little dated but very clean and had everything we needed. A superb hotel.
T. M.
We stayed here for a few days in September for a holiday and really loved the hotel and staff. The room was large and had all the facilities you could wish for. I think the hotel is perfectly placed for exploring. Definitely worth the extra to start the evening celebrations off on the right footing.
R. H.
Had a nice lunch and a drink. Good social distancing here and very plesent staff. Ordering via an app was strange at first but all worked well scanning the QR code etc.
A. P.
I attended a Seminar sponsored by the firm I'm working for and was extremely pleased with the premises, its central location and the excellent quality of service provided by the staff. So were the attendees.
The only minus I can think of is that some assistance to load the materials for the event on the trolley on arrival would have been appreciated.
E. K.
Convenient location when you are in London for business. Very near many transport options and great restaurants in the neighborhood. The staff are courteous and were always available when needed. In house dining is pretty decent as well - I tried the Chinese restaurant in the hotel and it was okay.
A. B.
Nice room, very comfy bed and generally quiet. Good facilities and service. Good breakfast. Only odd thing was that there was only one plug socket in the whole room (unless I unplugged the mini bar).
T. C. (.
The staff, particularly concierge, is excellent, attention to every detail and always so helpful. Our room (for 4) was specious and clean, very comfortable. Breakfast was great, many quality choices.
C. D.
Friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed, great location. This is typical Crowne Plaza, you know exactly what you're getting. Well priced for the area and quality of the experience.
T. M.
The hotel is located perfectly for the business community although it is not far from ***y of the London attractions. Service was enthusiastic however my wife's request for a couple of decaf teabags for our room seemed to be beyond the …
S. A.
A great Hotel part of the IHG group that is well located near the Thames by Blackfriars Station. The rooms are generous and we'll laid out with ironing facilities and trouser press provided. The restaurant and bar options are also of a great standard for a city Hotel. The staff are very professional and make every effort to accommodate your needs.
J. B.
Overall good. A couple of glitches included getting the wrong type of room for our boys (we asked for separate beds when booking and they assigned incorrectly) which they corrected right away. Front desk person was nice.
The bigger issue was asking for an adapter for my wife's hair straightener, and they instead gave us a converter, which fried the unit. The guys had assured us it was the right thing to use in spite of our doubts. Other employees, including the manager, were very helpful in rectifying the situation and assuring us we would get covered for the loss.
A. K.
Lovely hotel with a good location. Staff are friendly. Great rooms with luxury touches. My only small gripe was that I hoped to have sockets near the bed but they were on the other side of the room.
T. M.
The upper rooms are best and if you get an executive room then lounge access is complimentary. I booked late and it only cost £179 for bed and breakfast which I thought was excellent value over all. The tube is less then a block away for easy transportation. I would recommend this hotel.
Z. H.
Location by the river is great, but there are things to be desired. There is only one available power plug, they only give you three hangers, and not a single wash cloth. They do have a really good breakfast.
G. P.
An excellent hotel. The service was exceptional and friendly. Room was clean with modern decor and a comfy bed. TV had the ability to cast which was great for the morning lay in.
K. S.
Firstly, the hotel is located right in Central London. The nearest Underground station is Black Friars. The hotel rooms are very spacious and the ambience is very good. Didn't get to try the breakfast but I hear it is very good. This meets the IHG standards for a Crowne Plaza. Very happy with the stay.
T. M.
The hotel is opposite Blackfriar tube and railway station is in a good location for the city and embankment. The room was spacious and larger than I expected for a London hotel room. I got to my room and the staff had decorated my room with …

Lovely hotel, very helpful staff. Room was extremely clean and tidy. I'd recommend staying here.
M. Z.
It was the Chinese restaurant by a strange name of Chinese Cricket Clib that was recommended to us. We didn't stay in the hotel. But the restaurant and the food I would thoroughly recommend. It was delicious, from starters to the deserts, drinks and wine selection. We allowed the manager to choose our feast. I am glad we did, crispy duck, calamari and other bits for starters were to die for. Then the main event was the chicken, also sizzling beef, another dish of monkfish and wood funghi. Delicious. Do go if you get a chance. I genuinely was not expecting it to be this good.
A. M.
Overall a pleasant experience. I'd give it five stars, if it wasn't for the fact that when I tried to ask front desk for anything, I had to have the concierge translate. Normally I'm not picky about languages, but I do expect the staff at a London hotel to speak English.
K. K.
This is an amazing excellent hotel - superb location, 2 min walk from the tube, in the heart of the business center. The quality of the hotel would easily rival 5-star counterparts and is better than its other chain locations. Absolutely recommended for business or leisure l.
T. M.
The location was brilliant. On top of that, it's right outside the Blackfriars subway station so quick to get around from the hotel. Nice bar and general surroundings. I would highly recommend this venue to all as it was a delight and I will definitely be back again before Christmas AMAZING.
V. M.
Stayed overnight on a business trip. The location is great as is the welcome . The rooms are bright, clean and well appointed. The staff are friendly and helpful making this one of the better Crowne Plaza hotels I've experienced.
R. D.
Internet is a big problem in many rooms. Staff is helpful though. Overall a decent hotel with clean rooms.
Breakfast was quite good but the cutlery wasn't clean on 2 of the 5 days.
a.
Overpriced hotel. Old and does not justify the price. Small but functional gym. They give you some discount vouchers for drinks and food at checkin which is nice. Overall, would recommend to look at other hotels.
M. R. S.
Went there for dinner at the restaurant Diccenove. The food was great and service very professional. After that We decided to have some drinks at the lounge and We were serviced faultless by Fernanda a very friendly Brazilian girl. We would go back there for sure.
M. R.
The beds are soo good. I literally made it my hobby to make my bed, fall down on it, then make it again just to fall down again. It was so soft, i've never had anything like this. Also the full English breakfast was great. Really enjoyed my stay.
T. M.
A lovely Hotel whch is ideal if you are going to the Excel or the O. Location was not quite as busy as areas such as Euston which led to a good nights sleep. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The hotel is ideally situated for the Shard which is about a mile away and is easilly walkable.
M. O.
Good location across the road from blackfriars station and subway. Room services was good and loved the triple cooked chips. Bed was comfy and sufficient power points and usb outlets. Quiet. Shower was good once I figured out how to make it work.... pull the leaver up to divert the water to the shower head BEFORE turning the water on. Secondary lock on the door was a piece of chain that looked really cheap and not exactly practical. Water savings on the toilet cistern has been taken a bit too far to the point that you had to sometimes flush twice to get a tissue to go down regardless of which button you pressed....seems to defeat the intent of the savings.
S. B.
The hotel is in the city, close to the business area and easily reachable with the tube. Covent Garden is just behind the corner with all the theaters, restaurants and bar. For the price I would have expected more, the internet connection barely works and when I was there the air conditioning wasn't working properly (and it was extremely warm). The breakfast buffet is really good and the fitness area has everything you need.
G. P.
Hotel located just opposite to Blackfriars tube station is very convenient if you are visiting for work purpose in and around Victoria Embankment. I had series of issues with the rooms allocated to me - leaky bathroom, shower without hot water supply etc etc. In total during stay of 4 days / 3 nights changed 3 rooms !! It was quite poor experience never expected at such high-end and expensive hotel. Luckily the hotel staff and duty manager were extremely apologetic about all the inconveniences caused to me and fully helped during room changes.
I will still stay at this hotel the next time am around but this time will check my room / shower etc completely before settling for it!
J. E.
Clean rooms, convenient chinese restaurant on property, centrally located and very close to blackfriars station. Only bad thing is you have to constantly ask to have one of the cards reactivated to open the door or elevator. Otherwise, perfect stay.
E. R.
Great hotel. Very fresh and vibrant. Chinese cricket club does awesome food and accepts tastecard. Guest Relation Manager is friendly and very attentive. One of our first choices for stays in London.
J. K.
The staff is 5/5.
The Good
Impeccable service. The staff is consummately professional, courteous, and competent. Perfect location in central London. Black Friars underground is across the street. The vibe is understated and professional.
The Bad
Many facilities are not maintained. On the 7th floor, showers turned into baths because the bathtub drained too slowly. Toilet pressure in the room was too low, requiring several flushes; the low water pressure took more than 5 minutes to refill the tank enough to flush. Wifi in the room consistently tested at <1 mbps, even using guest-only login.
No electrical outlets were accessible from the bed.
Expect the hotel to place holds on your card totaling $250 without notice, which will drop off approximately 2 weeks after you check out. It's an increasingly common practice in the industry, but not a certainty. Crowne Plaza's staff neglects to notify its guests of this practice, which could be an issue. I'm documenting it as a courtesy to potential guests.
The Bottom Line
This is a prime location in central London. Poor facilities are no fault of the excellent staff. Ownership should contribute to this property's value instead of allowing maintenance issues to make life harder for staff and guests.
Recommend.
R. A.
Great hotel with lovely views. Such friendly staff and only a stones throw from Blackfriars train station and tube station. Ideal if you are looking for a place to stay coming from Gatwick as you can get the Thames Link service no change.
V. M. C.
My son stayed there for his 18th, apart from getting stuck in a lift for 2 hours, was everything he could have expected, my only gripe I emaild them to say it was his 18 and could they do anything special for him. Didnt bother to reply considering how much I spent would have been nice.
A. F.
Great room, good placement relative to the tube (1 min away) and other landmarks. The breakfast is expensive but we haven't tried it, and one major problem with our specific room is that the bathroom door does not lock, at all. Otherwise great service.
T. M.
The hotel is conveniently located near the Blackfriars tube station. Georgia Gordon-Martin, Executive Assistant to the GM, is always delightful and the entire staff is always delighted to assist. The receptionist checked my card and then …
K. F.
Staff was helpful that spoke english. Sadly, many of the staff had less experience with the English language then you would expect Restaurant service was very slow. Lee the concierge was fantastic and extremely helpful.
C. R.
Nice hotel located in a great, easily accessible location and beyond friendly staff.
We chose this hotel because they were one of the few hotels that offered a room with two double beds and was close to the center of the city. Not to mention, it was even a little cheaper than certain other hotels further away.
One thing that stood out was the staff, they were very friendly and accommodating, which is why I raised the rating up to four stars. Everything we needed, they went above and beyond to accommodate.
The room was spacious, nice and clean, the beds were very comfortable and plenty of outlet room to use. They even include a charging dock for the iPhone 30pin, iPhone lightning, and micro-usb ports. The bathroom was large, with the shower-tub standing pretty tall, so you have to be extra careful getting in and out so that you don't sleep. Something I don't understand (must be a European thing) is how short the shower door is, where pretty much most of the water would splash out of the tub and onto the floor, and making it a higher risk to slip.
The hotel itself is nice, with a two or three restaurants on premises and a nice bar downstairs. You can expect hotel pricing on these restaurants (more expensive), but the food wasn't too bad.
Another big plus is the location of the hotel. You're right across the street from the Blackfriars Tube station, about a mile from the London Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Parliament. Short walk to St. Pauls Cathedral and quick bus ride to the Tower of London and a 10 minute taxi ride to the St. Pancras train station.
When we come back to London, we will more than likely be staying at this hotel again.
B. P.
Good hotel. Expensive but not more than you would expect in the area. Staff is smiling and happy. Gym is open 24/7 and a lounge is available.
N. H.
Suite room was very roomy. Lounge is comfortable to work in, canapes were nice. Central location, easy to get anywhere in London. Staff was very friendly.
S. M.
The most luxurious around! We spent a week so at the end we were fed up with the same breakfast every day. But again all hotels repeat the same menu for breakfast.
L. L.
Stayed here over a weekend a few weeks ago when i was travelling over to see some friends. Nice clean rooms and nice service. Would stay again.
K. F.
The hotel was nothing special. Not horrible by any means but nothing that made it stand out. The nicest thing was the pillows, amazing pillows. But as far as anything else went, it was mediocre and could have been a cheaper chain hotel.
R. L.
Staff is wonderfully attentive, Voltaire is fabulous! Room efficient and beds slept great. Lived the location in Blackfriar too, a working community with no shortage of pubs. Short walk to Tate museum and other river view venues. Don't miss Burrough Market nearby on Saturday.
D. D.
Excellent service. Very well located. Large and comfortable rooms. Small but well equipped gym. Excellent breakfast and restaurant on site.
K. A.
One of the few great hotels in London.
Room size are relativity big
Modern building
Clean
Staff are not so helpful as I feel they kind of lake on empowerment.
The hotel is kind away from the tourist attraction in London.
The underground is 15mn to 20mn walk which considered far. Yet, there are few bus stops across the street.
B.
I didn't use the hotel but attended a training course being held there. The hotel was very clean, had a pleasant atmosphere and really nice, personable staff. Would recommend as a venue for similar events.
J. D.
Good place for conferences, was a tad cold though with the AC on, but maybe they didn't want us to sleep. Pastries and cakes were good , didn't get to sample the lunch. But good pub opposite for that.
D. H.
Excellently located in the City. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Staff is very efficient and friendly. Can be pricy but still a very good choice for a business or leisure trip.
B. A.
I can't fault this place at all. Fantastic hotel with fantastic service. Easily accessible from many London train stations. Features in the hotel are sophisticated. Ideal place for various events. I was there for an MBA event.
A. B.
Really friendly staff. Excellent comfortable beds. Chinese restaurant was great. Varied menu and really delicious. Cocktail bar has an excellent selection. Thoroughly recommend
H. M.
Stayed a couple of nights, was great service by the staff. Friendly on arrival and departure and any time we had a question.
The location isn't fantastic for things to do but that's why there's Uber! 👏
C. P.
We had an enjoyable stay there . Close to rail station. Great breakfast there. Kind staff. Yes I agree though the rooms a bit tight.
C. H.
Would highly recommend Crowne Plaza The City, in particular The City Lounge where I had an amazing evening. The staff there is really pleasant and makes you feel welcomed whether you're in town for business or just passing by.
Kudos
D. L.
This is my favorite hotel in London! Everyone is extremely helpful and it is located in the middle of the city which makes it easy to get to any location. Stayed here at least 5 times over the years. Always a delightful stay!
J. P.
Amazing weekend staying at this hotel the staff were excellent and the food was delightful definitely recommend. Frederick the manager was one of the best we have ever met.
K. J. W.
Elisa in the Club Lounge is a doll! Super accommodating, lovely smile, hard worker and takes care of you like family. Crowne Plaza needs to promote her to whatever she wants because she's going far! Thanks Elisa for taking care of our American selves at all the worst timing :)
T. M.
Main reason for staying here is that it's right around the corner from my office. Staff was wonderful, free water and snacks in the room ( in addition to the for-pay mini bar) and apples and water in the lobby. Several options of activities/where to go close by, London eye, aquarium, Tate, etc.
M. D.
Crowne plaza was once a favourite ... Now a little bit less style ... Good coffee and orange juice (second cup/glass when you hunt down staff) (adding comment) Hunting staff STILL an issue. Food was slow 40 minutes for bangers and mash. And served only when we approached waitresses. Polite but ... SLOW
T. M.
Seconds from Blackfriars tube 10 min walk to saint Pauls. Right next to the Black-fair underground station so it was very convenient to go to all the sights. Staff were lovely upon arrival and departure. We would gladly stay here again in the future and try out more of the in house amenities if we had more time.
T. M.
Stay here regularly for work. Across the road from transport links. Unfortunately at £21.95 I decided to miss breakfast and was very happy to sample the delights of a local café for a fraction of the cost. Upon arrival, Fredrico the Night ***ager took care of all of my needs and was amazing.
P. F.
Very nice comfy rooms, good dinner. Clean, very close to all the cool places on the Embankment.
T. M.
We were at the back of the hotel so room was quiet. We were just a 10 minute walk from Covent Garden and Theatre land. Every morning we had an argument at breakfast because we were told that we had to pay for breakfast although breakfast was clearly included in our rate.

Had a wonderful event hosted by Tamsin today. A real buzz about the place. I found every member of staff very hospitable and accommodating.
I've been to many other establishments and found my food intolerances hard to cater for. This was no problem to Tamsin and the crew.
I would seriously consider having another event there and so would recommend.
J. P.
Great central location with excellent rooms (on the club floors, at least) and decent amenities. Staff is super accommodating, points off for a very mediocre breakfast. Would happily stay again or recommend.
T. H. C.
I absolutely loved this place, I came here for a wedding which was my cousins, the venue was unbelievably amazing and I will definitely be back, the service was absolutely perfect and if there is a place you want to go which ticks all your boxes, this is the place...!! I'm still here and dont want to go home...!! I'm in Awe still...!!
S.
This hotel is in a great location. You are just across the street from the tube. Within walking distance to many things. Great staff as well.
R. D.
Lovely hotel with professional and helpful staff. Good public transport. Well equipped meeting rooms.
G. M.
Located within a few minutes of Blackfriers Station, the Crowne Plaza offers a fairly high standard of accommodation. Suited for both business and family stays. Friendly service and good facilities.
N. W. X.
Went there for a professional event. Staff were nice but not proactive. Place itself was tastefully decorated. Conference rooms are brightly lit and of great quality.
W. T.
Only stayed one night but what an impressive looking foyer and what great staff that work there. At check in I had wake up call and taxi booked for morning without any issue.
Room was well stocked and complimentary water is always a bonus.
Comfortable bed and clean bathroom, what else do you need.
T. M.
On returning from the show, as we crossed over from the tube station we were amazed to see an urban fox crossing the road. The Thames is but a short walk from the hotel and has a lovely walk ***** the embankment. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Crowne Plaza.
L. B.
Nice rooms but booked a meal to turn and have them say it was being renovated. Got no prior warning and as we had based our day around it spoiled it as we were only there for 2 days
A. A.
Clean and modern rooms. Coffee and tea on the room. Complementary sparkling water and free wifi. Grat hotel with three restaurants and a bar at a cenzral spot in the city. Close to Tate Modern, St. Pauls and lots of bars and restaurants all around
P. B.
Very friendly and efficient staff; the Club Lounge gets busy at weekends. The milk left in the room for tea and coffee was off, the only downside.
R. U.
Nice clean hotel in a great spot with easy tube access. Wide selection of food for breakfast although we did have to request hot drinks twice.
S. C.
Right across from London Blackfriars station with a direct line to and from Gatwick Airport. Close to St Paul’s Cathedral and Tate Modern which you can take a slow walk to through the Millennium Bridge. There’s a Tesco to the left, a Sainsbury’s and a pub right across if you’re feeling thirsty.
Spacious and clean room, but bed and pillows are of the softer type.
B. H.
Catered for all our needs, with very helpful staff. Excellent city centre location, right across the road from Blackfriars tube, with other amenities close by. Would definitely go again.
J. M.
Absolutely lovely. The location is one of its best features, right next to the Blackfriars station and bridge. Housekeeping was quick and pleasant.
The room was big and comfortable.
E. R.
Broken toilet seat. Four large screws in the wall for no reason (assume a mirror or painting removed). Wall paper in the bathroom was bubbling and should be removed. View was looking into an office building full of workers 30 feet away so curtains were always closed.
C. M.
Went to there for a cream tea. The bar was nice & Relaxed. The lounging area delightful with huge comfy chairs. Cream tea was nice & the young woman that served us was cheery & nice
T. B.
Great hotel in the heart of London. Stayed there a couple weeks ago. The complimentary breakfast was great and the special room with free open bar in the evening was a welcome addition.
O. G.
Breakfast was ok. Ham was dry and beans were kind of glued together when you were too late. Rooms clean and the staff was friendly. So I would call it an average experience.
V. F.
Great place and great location. All the food in the hotel was great. Room was very comfortable.
M. S.
Great place to stay. Amazing staff. Across the street from a tube station, plus walking distance from many shops and restaurants . Also walking distance to St. Paul's cathedral.
J. R.
Concierge and front desk are very helpful. The rooms are larger than expected for europe and nicely furnished. Breakfast is a traditional English breakfast.
E. C.
Conveniently located across the street from Blackfriars Station. We took the train from Gatwick and arrived across from the hotel. About a 15 minute walk to Tate Modern and Shakespeare Globe. The rooms offer two real double beds which is great for families with two kids.
A. S.
Brilliant service, couldn't not fault the staff and rooms where lovely, clean and well presented Club lounge is a lovely feature and makes breakfast simple and easy
J. I.
I only stayed few hours there using a dayroom. Perfect location, standard room fairly priced.
Nice hotel.
J. L.
Our third visit we'll situated friendly helpful staff. Enjoying the Club Area rooms are excellent a good night's sleep
E. I.
The food, service and facilities were amazing. We were looked after with great care. my only complaint was the quality of the WiFi
M. S.
Attended here for a work event. Half way through the fire alarm went off which I can't argue with them following procedure. Only filtered coffee and tea were available, espressos were an extra which I found surprising
n. t.
What a fantastic service and excellent room..
Am a Crowne Plaza Club member and would totally recommend to anyone to join too....
D. B.
Great hotel, great staff. Small problem with our run but the way the staff handled it was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again!
J. R.
The vaults are perfect little chill spots, technically outdoor so you can make the most of the cigar menu and heated so still useable in winter.
P. M.
Great hotel and location at a very fair price. It is right across the street from Blackfriars Station, so you always have the choice of walking or taking the tube for daily excursions.
A. H.
I came here for a work conference rather than used their accommodation. The facilities seemed good, modern and clean. Professional.
A. M.
Not bad, not bad. Can’t best the Mondrian but still a pretty decent choice. Nothing to complain really: the place was clean, the service welcoming and the room nice.
h. s.
Had a great night in this hotel, staff are friendly and the bar was relaxing, would have stayed on for a few more hours if I didn’t have work in the morning!
S. B.
I stay here quite a lot for work.
Most of the staff are great and friendly.
Unfortunately for me the gym facilities need working on.
H. R.
Great hotel. Staff are great, service is great. Sadly breakfast let them down on this trip. Apart from that lovely
E. V.
Great hotel, very modern, the rooms are huge and the bed is super confortable. Service is excellent. Convenient location at 2 minutes walk to Victoria station.
B. b. M.
Sadly we had a room with a window facing into the middle of the building so there was no way to get any fresh air into the room but the room itself was very confortable.
O. A.
My best choice in london,
Good value of money
Perfect cleanliness
Perfect food.
Amazing hospitality
No delays in checking in and out.
Thanks to the amazing staff.
C. P.
Lovely hotel with a good breakfast. Quiet at the weekends. Large beds in a good size room. A short walk away from Somerset House.
R. V.
A great place to hold an even in the bridewell suite. Only thing is no phone signal as it is downstairs but ask a staff member for the hotel wifi which is free.. Highly recommended
D. H.
To be honest, Google surveys is asking me to rate this hotel. I only went in while a friend went to his room to change, but the Lobby was very nice.
S.
Great Hotel in a good location with perfect restaurants and a very good service. Highly recommendable.
S. C.
Staying overnight for a few nights for London marathon. Rooms are great, great service, they even put on early breakfast and coach to the start of the marathon for the runners
B. S.
Very convenient location, everything you need is near by. Good place to stay if you want to experience London by foot.
Internet very slow, other than that a good, if not very good hotel.
K. B.
Well located. Decor is slightly wacky with large pictures of people on the walls. Overall stay was good though!
M. L.
Ok hotel near Blackfriars. A bit impersonal, but staff were trying their best. Good location for the City. Rooms are fine.
S. 3.
I visited a year ago and the best hotel if ever been to and I've been to some in Dubai and believe me they were excellent but rooms nice and comfy and breakfasts were excellent.
P. H.
Very nice Hotel in the heart of London, the rooms are cozy and the Chinese restaurant on ground floor is excellent . The personnel is very nice
c. m.
Being first day of check in.. Hotel is appearing very good.. Right in front of Metro station.. Walking distance for London Eye.. Free WiFi available.. Courteous staff..
R. L.
Clean, well kept. Staff was perfect. Restaurant surprisingly good. Very good value in heart of London.
M. T. T.
Great find, have stayed in many IHG hotels but this one is great, location just outside tube and walking distance to Borough Market, one of the best foodie markets in London
A. N.
Lovely hotel & fantastic service. Great location too
Y. P.
Great hotel on a good location. My only complaint is that I have been trying to reach their help desk for weeks but no one answers.
P. S.

Perfectly pleasant hotel and nice staff. Shame the meeting rooms are pretty much all in windowless basement rooms
M. I.
Excellent service! Dedicated and friendly staff. Very clean and nice surroundings as well as an overground/underground station (Blackfriar) 3 minutes away.
L. G.
Solid hotel with good interior design, can't be faulted. The location just opposite the metro is great.
M. S.
Good size room. Not too expensive. Reception staff were great. Highly recommend.
T. M. S.
Attended a corporate event there for The Sporting Wine Company in a section of the Chinese Cricket Club restaurant only for it to be marred by some very noisy and rude diners so I wouldn't in my events manager capacity ever use this setup myself.
A. U.
Nice hotel with helpful personnel. It's good location and reasonable room prices makes it perfect for business purposes.
M. W.
Attended a conference in the downstairs conference room. Facilities were nice, but doom was very warm and got uncomfortable. Food and service was good.
A. K.
Nice hotel, biggish rooms considering its in central London. But way too expensive. Not worth the money.
S. P.
Nice, clean, Central location. Complimentary wifi provided, albeit at 1 Mbs (for perspective, my tour bus was 4 Mbs).
J. M.
Nice venue for a conference on the other side of the road from Blackfriars railway station. It couldn't have been more conveniently located.
V. V.
The facilities I have visited and saw were very good. I have not stayed a night so I can't comment on the rooms or service.
H. B.

C. B.
Very helpful staff.
Good rooms, although some are smoking rooms.
Good location for tourist sites.
A. W.
More like a 3 star than a 4 star hotel. The service isn’t great, and the facilities are old.
D. A.
I stay here for work often. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, staff is amazing, and the cocktail bar is a hidden gem!
J. S.
Great location, bar across the road as well as on site restaurants, bath plug wouldn't stick open however
