Lovely hotel, room was spotlessly clean, positively gleaming. Staff very friendly and give the impression they enjoy their jobs. We had a couple of minor issues in the room that were sorted very rapidly. Breakfast was great too. Check your room thermostat if your room is too warm, ours was set at 27C. No parking at hotel.

Fantastic spot to rest, quiet and staff were all amazing, even though they were stretched with absences due to Covid. Dinner was also great, service was spot on, and the baked cheese with honey was simply sublime.

Very nice pub, pricey but standard for this area. Long wait at the bar to order drinks, then longer wait for cocktail. The barman did say that the were short staffed.
K.
A country pub in London, has log fires, lovely warm vibe and attentive staff. We had a variety of wine, cocktails and baby Guinness. We had our dog with us who was very welcome. A great evening for couples or a group of friends

Nice food nice staff, brilliant atmosphere. But was like watching the tennis and football on a postage stamp, small tv’s ?
J. B.
Had Christmas lunch here- Fantastic service and lovely lunch. Not cheap but that's ok for what was very well done. Would defo revisit. Looks a nice pub area too...

Lovely venu but the Sunday roast was overpriced for what you got. The beef was tough and clearly undercooked. The gravy was runnier than Usain Bolt on laxatives.

Always enjoy The Dog and Fox with Guitar Clients and locals alike, friendly bar staff and located as central as you could ask in the Village.
A favoured haunt to say the least.

Excellent range of draft beers and a good selection of food on the menu. We had their chicken and leek pie and changed out the mashed potato for fries. Meal was absolutely delicious with tasty broccoli and peas accompanying the great non-greasy fries. The pie was simply one of the best we have tasted. Crisp and thin pastry and wonderful sauce around lots of chicken and leek filling. Exceptionally good and at a reasonable price considering it is Wimbledon!

I luv it here, I live close by. Coffee is Amazing. I enjoy coming for Breakfast, Roast or just some drinks💜Great Service💜Lovely Staff😍

Great place had a drinks on Xmas day here. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Great selection of drinks. :-)

Hotel was lovely, rooms were very nice, staff were friendly.
Restaurant was nice and had good food. Service was good during the morning when it was quiet.
During the evening the place was bouncing with people and the staff looked to be stretched thin. Repeatedly had issues ordering drinks (waited 45 mins for the first round!) and ordering at the bar, though it felt good to stand at a bar for the first time since March 2020, took ages and again the staff got it wrong every time I ordered.
They did correct their mistakes though after a second visit to the bar and some were given for free to make up for it so fair play.
All in all a good experience and would recommend this venue to my friends.

Excellent value. A beautiful room with luxury fixtures and fittings. Very helpful staff. Excellent location.
P. F.
Food and drink plus atmosphere is fantastic, surrounded by nice folks and always great service
w. h.
Tasty food with wonderful atmosphere

Lovely venue to meet up with friends we were in the library and it was quite enough it was a pity there is no table service
M. N.
Nice pub, good food but I bit too noisy. It was hard to hear each other at the table.

My favourite pub here in Wimbledon. Every time i go up towards the village i try to make a stop here. They have amazing sandwiches that i have tried several times on a warm day with a cold draft beer. The outside area is not as nice as it id directly next to the main road and roundabout but i find inside very cosy with large booths and plenty of space.

We enjoyed a delicious Christmas eve dinner!! Nice atmosphere and attentive staff

I had to cancel my pub booking and Barbara refunded my deposit an hour after I sent her a message about this. Very efficient and great customer service. The bar has always been somewhere I enjoyed…. Even when I was barred 20 years ago.

Popped in to the Dog & Fox on a drizzly Wednesday and boy, what a treat. The pub itself is lovely (beautifully decorated, especially the new patio and bar), the food was fantastic but it was the service that left the biggest impression on us. The staff were warm and friendly and made us feel like guests, not customers. A huge thank you to Ben, Ollie, Erik and all the wonderful staff who looked after us; we couldn’t have had a better experience.
J. L.
I couldn’t believe how lovely the rooms are here. Centrally located in the village, we don’t want to leave. Highly recommend!

5 stars, with two small snags. There was an old gal aged in her late 80’s on the table next to us. Legend has it that she was 17 years old when she rocked up for din dins and is still waiting for her starter. Also... the parsnip soup was a little heavy on the parsnip.....
Seriously though, when the food did come it was lovely. Meat cooked to perfection and portions were just the right amount. The waiters and waitresses were super friendly, very welcoming and accommodating. You have a great team working the floor. Would definitely come back.
Cheers!

My friend and I visited for drinks and lunch on 19/08. Ben, Alex, Eric and the rest of the team looked after us very well. The service was exceptional, the food was great quality and arrived in great time considering they were busy (Eat out to Help out). Table service all round and a wonderful afternoon!
S. W.
I love the place is doggy friendly. The staff are friendly and service is wonderful. The only bad points was the food. My sister said her food could have been hotter. I had a roast and had the worst yorkshire pudding I have ever eaten. Burnt and crispy. The chicken was tasty. The price is overly expensive for the quality to be honest. I've had nicer food in cheaper pubs. I think your just paying a higher price for the area. There a lot nicer places to eat in wimbledon village for the price. Id go for a drink but I wouldnt eat here again.

Went to the Dog and Fox for lunch today. Visiting from Australia, and it had a wonderful cost feel about it. There was a fire burning in the main area, people were everywhere celebrating birthdays, and it was a great vibe. We had a selection of mains, and they were all nice. Good sized meals, catering for adults and children. Prices were in keeping with meals, not cheap, but hearty meals.
G. D.
We had a great Christmas drinks with my friend there. Huge selection, spacious place, really nice atmosphere - they even had a live music! Could see few dogs around so that's a big plus too. Special thanks and greeting to an amazing bartender Gabriel, who offered an exceptional service for us and prepared my favorite drink Old Fashioned at the highest level. Wow, you are really, really good! Thank you for a great time and Merry Christmas to the whole team!

I stayed in the Hound Suite with my partner and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The room itself was very well decorated with lots of character. The bathroom was clean and all of the expected amenities were available.
I enjoyed the stay, particularly as the staff were very friendly in catering to our needs.
J. S.
Excellent rooms staff and service. Highly recommended
S. M. S.
A nice pub but hit and miss service depending on the day.
B. H.
The Dog and Fox have done really well in making dining safe and enjoyable during the pandemic. Its a theme for Young's Pubs, helped in large part by the "Young's on tap" app. Lots of room. Happy staff and good seats to watch Wimbledon Village life go by.
M. T.
lovely place to eat and drink. Food good and not expensive
J. F.
Went as a group for a pub dinner in the restaurant. We were easily able to book a table for 6 of us by calling late in the afternoon with no issues. The food was delicious - it was a Sunday so lots of options for traditional Sunday roasts. Good range of drinks. Everyone left satisfied and happy.
J. C.
Pleasant surroundings and comfortable outdoor seating. Service was very slow for a cup of tea and a cup of.
O. P.
Friday night and the service at the bar was frustratingly slow. It wasn’t just me, people around me couldn’t believe it took so long just to get drinks. The bar did settle down and became quicker, the beers are great and atmosphere is good fun. The new extension also looks amazing! Maybe 3 stars is a little mean but it was frustrating.
K. S.
Extremely impressive food. We had the scotch egg and the bread with the dip. Sounds simple but was astonishingly delicious. Almost relieved we didn't make a reservation at the restaurant we had planned for.
S. B.
Me and my mum came for breakfast today. I just wanted to say Thank you for a lovely morning after having a horrible start to the day we came to you and you made our day, All of you are lovely and very friendly. Alexander was especially lovely. This pub is the best we have ever been to just wished we lived closer. The food was AMAZING.
A. D.
Always have an enjoyable evening in here. Great atmosphere.
L. P.
A very rural old English style pub with ample seating outside and beautiful upholstery inside. Drinks are expensive (11 pounds for 2 pints) but the lively atmosphere and enchanting decor more than make up for it. Would recommend it if you're trying to impress someone with how much money you have.
D. R.
Nice food very accommodating with changing things out. Only issue is £6.25 for a pint is extortionate price
G. B.
Not overly impressed with the service this time. Was a busy Saturday evening, but was impossible to get served without literally sticking your hand in the staffs face. If you are planning on having events then you really need to make sure you have adequate cover. Also not sure allowing children in after seven is a great idea on a weekend either!
A. T.
Hi Ben, thanks for your reply, sadly everytime I go in there (before covid) the staff were more interested in talking amongst themselves and incredibly inefficient service. Contrast this with the Alex which always has impeccable service, no matter how busy it is.
Will to give it another shot when we're allowed back, but remain sceptical
B. M.
Beautiful decor. Dog friendly and there were lots there! All well behaved. Great wine list. Delicious food. Amazing atmosphere. Incredible staff who paid attention to detail and we're very attentive.
Loved it. Would definitely recommend and come again.
S. C.
The bar was very spacious and well air conditioned, and the staff were very friendly. We sat in the small outdoor area and the benches and tables were large and comfortable. A great choice of beer on offer too! Would definitely visit again!
S. N.
A family gathering on a busy Sunday lunchtime - very crowded but we didn't wait long before a table became free. It took longer for the table to be cleared despite the fact that staff had to replenish cutlery from the bureau next to us. I ordered the vegetarian option of puff pastry strudel - Mary Berry would not have been impressed with the soggy bottom nor the soggy top! The vegetables inside were tasty though! Two people had the ploughman's lunch to share which was supposed to come with bread - they had to wait till the very end when everyone - including them, had finished their meal despite repeated requests for it! But my grandson enjoyed his fish and chips! It was demolished in no time!
The atmosphere was vibrant and buzzing but the service spoilt our visit. A busy day - surely more staff to cope?
M. I.
My local with amazing drinks and fantastic people. Really wide selection of good drinks and lots of snacks to go down with it.
Did is also great and service time is really quick.
Friendly bar staff and sometimes lets the little dogs in.
Very comfy interior with leather sofas and a great dining area and outside tables for summer
A. N.
A popular pub in Wimbledon village. Staff are friendly and fast. good spot for an after-work pint. Nice big traditional sofas inside which are nice to just sink into. The place has plenty of space around do you don't feel squished into the corner
V. C.
Very nice establishment serving decent food and great cocktails. We went there for a late lunch on a Saturday, so it was not too busy, we sat at a table within minutes and the service was pretty quick. Would definitely return, especially during warm days to fully enjoy the beer garden.
S. V. N.
Very popular. Service and food were good. Dogs are welcome, even saw two Amazon greens (birds) joining their owners. Was a bit busy and noisy for me (not the animals) but OK. Not for people who want a quiet romantic type atmosphere. Sunday roasts are nice.
C. B.
I love the pub itself... but I always feel a little bit let down by the food quality, considering the competition around it I would have expected better with food, but with that said.... it is a great pub, in the summer it's FANTASTIC and over Wimbledon time you can imagine it's nuts. The staff are all nice!! And living literally a stone's throw away it's a great place to hang out night or day, weekday or weekend. Xx
R. S. (.
Amazing food and even better cocktails! Such good vibes in this pub. It's my go to pub as I'm always guaranteed a good fun evening with my friends. I always land up walking away with new friends after a day at D&F 🍻🎊
c. o.
This is a great pub in a great location! On a summers day if you are lucky enough to get a seat outside you can sit for hours which seem like minutes. We have eaten here on many occasions and the food has always been good to excellent for pub grub. Good selections of wine and beers to compliment, however, stay away for the Wimbledon tennis tournament unless you are happy waiting for 20 mins for a drink. Victim of its own success and location but highly recommended.
J. S.
One of my favourite pubs, by a long shot. Totally dog friendly, dog even allowed in the dining room which is very unusual for a pub. Absolutely fantastic food, and the building itself is incredible. Can’t recommend enough!
J. A.
Very busy, nice atmosphere.
M. T.
Really lovely pub with great staff.
S. H.
It's ok. Some random dude singing covers... Makes it difficult to have a conversation. Either be a music pub or not... Don't be a confused both. An area booked for an engagement celebration next to an oasis wannabe... Not ideal. Great location, therefore higher prices than your average bar. It's a go to if you have to place.
O. A.
Very heartwarming pub in a great location. Brilliant selection on tap and food is brilliant. Staff are amazingly friendly and always willing to help! Highly recommend this pub for all occasions.
W. F.
Can't speak to the hotel but only to the bar: a gigantic affair with a seriously wide selection of beers and spirits (the wine selection is less impressive)!
The staff's friendliness ebbs and flows, however, and tends to decrease as the night draws to an end and the patrons become more rowdy. Somewhat understandable, but a shame for the occasional late, sober and polite customer.
C. T.
Pretty adequate large gastro pub. It had a strange sort of atmosphere and blasted 90s hits through the Sunday evening. Food was tasty and a pretty good selection of beers quite reliant on meantime. The strange atmosphere (or lack of) let it down. 2.5/5
H. S.
High-class pub grub. Great food, good atmosphere but you can expect your food to take a while. Previous experiences suggest a long wait, even when the restaurant section is near-empty. Service is fine, though again, simple things like bringing you the bill can take an age. It's worth a visit for the food!
A. H.
Lovely pub - we had a large ground of 12 dad's out for a Friday night drink, found a table to accommodate us all! Great selection of beers and other drinks, lovely location. Can't fault it really!
S. S. B.
A lovely not-so-little gastropub offering up a deliciously original menu, great selection of beers & really friendly staff in the heart of the village. The recent makeover ensures it looks great & that the space is nicely divided up with lots of stylish rooms. The good news is it works for most occasions, whether out with friends or after a more intimate atmosphere. The only slight downside is that you need to pay a little bit extra for the privilege. But, hey, it's Wimbledon Village. What were you expecting?!
L. G.
Cozy rooms, with good beds and nice little shaving/showering packs. Well placed in Wimbledon. A lot of little shops and things to do in the area.
The restaurant is also really good. Some good vegan options including a delicious mushroom burger which is definitely worth a try. Fairly priced for the area as well. Good atmosphere. Nice comfy corner booths.
Friendly hotel staff and waiters.
M. N.
Nice beer selection. Very difficult to get served. Bar tell you to sit down and someone will be over. Sit down and no one comes over. End up going back to bar behind people who arrive later...only had two drinks , but bill had 6..that was of course corrected with no fuss.
S. D.
Had a fantastic time at dog and fox this evening met with family for drinks and a meal the food was incredible. Beautiful pub/restaurant always extremely clean and friendly staff are chatty and helpful special thank you to Mikey who paid us special attention and made sure our visit was memorable!!
A. G.
I love the dog n fox. It's a great place, really nice old building. Lovely bar area, inside and out. The food is very good and they have a decent selection of beers, largers and ciders. The one thing that gets me though is the mark up on beers and bar snacks. One beer, three packets of crisps and some nuts cost £23.. that's just too much.
S. F.
Fantastic pub, demonstrated by how full it is all the time. It's only negative is that it's always busy but when you get a table, you're happy to settle in for the foreseeable. Good drinks and even better food.
L. A.
I found this place perfect for a warm brunch on my own. Spacious interior with a cozy multi-purpose feel, but clearly way better food than a typical pub. Lots of inventive brunch options and a buzzing bar. I had this Brioche with mushrooms in a garlic/parsley sauce + poached egg, and it was perfect! Especially at £7... there are also long high tables for groups drinking, more traditional tables, and cozy couch benches under the windows. I think I'll hang out a while :)
S. F.
Came and had a roast here last year which was amazing. Today we returned and it was not the same - the Yorkshire pudding was much smaller, the meat was not pink and a bit tough, the portions weren't what we would have expected for £21 (2 roast potatoes!). Not a bad meal but nowhere near how good it used to be, don't know what has happened...? Fair enough we came late in the afternoon so maybe the best food was already gone but what a shame.
C. G.
I went because it said that it was a pub but I think the word that fits better it's restaurant. If you go to the terrace it's nice and informal, but inside it's more formal. Didn't like the music + it was so loud that I couldn't chat with my friends. All in all, I'd say that it's a good place to go for a date or a meeting with just one friend but not for groups of more than 3 people.
M. D.
Very nicely presented boutique hotel attached to a very busy and fashionable pub. The only serious issue was a function on the Saturday night with music which caused the floor in my daughter"s room to bounce. The main problem was that she was sharing the room with my 10-year old grandson who was feeling under the weather. When asked, the bass boom was turned down, and the noise did stop by 2300 as promised.
A. M.
A great pub, large nice seating, with Rugby on the telly, fire places, Sunday roast. Kid friendly and dog friendly perfect after a walk on Wimbledon common. Even family room, highly recommended.
A. M.
The location of the hotel is nice and it's right in the centre of Wimbledon village. The food choices are good and the quality & quantity are generous. However, the service could have been much better. Having been three times already, the service levels were still not up to the mark.
C. L.
Fab pub in Wimbledon village with a nice buzz. Went here for Sunday roast, which in the past has been excellent, but fell a little short this time - vegetables tasted vinegary, which tainted the whole plate. It was also super busy, and the waiting staff were polite but clearly overwhelmed.
R.
Have visited twice now and have really enjoyed our time here. The food was delicious and there are a lot of vegetarian options. Service was efficient and friendly and the decor and feel of the place is very welcoming. One of our visits was when the whole dining area had been booked out for a Christmas party but the staff were unflustered, service was great and we did not have to wait too long for our food.
J. G.
Nice pub friendly staff. Unfortunately the acoustics could use improvement as it lacks any soft furnishings; this makes it very noisy as everybody raises their voices to be heard and the sound has nowhere to go.
M. C.
Beautiful building with a really nice atmosphere inside. Dog friendly, and the stag were really accommodating for the dog and in general. The roast was delicious but two potatoes was a bit tight! Good experience overall and I would definitely go back
S. R.
One of my favourite hotels. Beautiful boutique rooms. Tried the luxurious fox suite once. It's massive with a four poster bed and a bath tub in the bedroom to relax in. even the dog suites are comfortable and Great for a few nights sleep after the busy days in London. Great service and awesome breakfast.
P. M.
After a long walk around the Common we headed there for a much needed lunch. Food excellent and very welcoming to dogs. Helpful staff. The sticky toffee pudding is to die for!!
G. S.
Nice pub. Good function room.
Terrible app to order food and drink.
X. L.
The food was OK, had a confit dock burger, not memorable although there's nothing wrong, the duck was tougher than I expected what confit should be, although the sweet potato fries were good, very crispy on the outside. The service was moderate, friendly but felt slightly slow. Mediocre experience
T. P.
Essex chav crowd and expensive drinks & crisps.
It's in a great spot in Wimbledon Village which is a gorgeous and pretty classy area, so I am always disappointed with the punters. The crowd often seems to be overly dressed Essex chav types who are too loud, pretentious and rude for my liking. That's not a fault of the pub though but I never enjoy it there as much as I could for this reason. Also I think £13+ for a beer and wine and £1.30 for a packet of crisps is too expensive. Just because someone will pay it doesn't mean you should charge it. If the crowds and expense don't bother you though it is a nice pub.
S. C.
Great food, nice atmosphere.... gets busy on a Sunday but we managed to gab a table quite quickly. Decent sized roasts and bloody Mary's.
R. C.
Decent food albeit outrageously priced for a pub. Ample seating and great location / atmosphere. Frequently suffers from lengthy serving times at the bar.
K. R.
Trying very hard to be a better restaurant than it is. Should pair down the extensive menu and do a few things really well rather than lots of great sounding dishes that are sub par. Shame as you can see the potential.
D. W.
We went here to watch the Wimbledon men's final and the atmosphere was awesome. Plenty of bars and screens to watch the game. Didn't get to try the food as the restaurant was fully booked.
I. P.
Loved the space, was able to work here after lunch, so nice to have a meal without meat or carbs that was so yummy!
S. K.
The Dog & Fox was my local for a few years, and it was a very nice option to have on the doorstep. My only issue with it as a local is that it's always pretty much impossible to get a seat any night of the week as there always seem to be just enough people in there to take up all the seats, and at the lions share of a fiver a pint I don't think it's unreasonable to want to site down.
That said if you want a more lively evening in the village and standing up isn't a problem for you then get down here, as the staff are friendly and there is a large selection of drinks and food.
The beer garden outside is also really nice in the sun, but again the overcrowding problem can be a real issue, to the point where it is no longer pleasant - but if you have a day off work during the week and it's sunny - get down here asap!
S. G.
Nice hotel, rooms are clean, and adorable. Very quiet place. Food is what you can expect from a pub in England. Nice place to have a drink with friends, very well located in lovely winbledon village.
J. S.
Great time, however the bartender's could not serve pints from the Camden hell's cart and a couple of peopl threw up and the bouncers didn't do anything. It was new year's tho... Oh and the DJ sucked - the song was changed every 30 seconds...
E. P.
Quiz nights here are really good - challenging without being unattainable, and well run. But on a regular evening its overly crowded and not worth the cost of drinks. They have recently done a refurb which has really opened it up, and even classed it up, but still not sure the cost is worth it...
S. B.
Not a frequent visitor, been there on wimbledon final and boi oh boi the place was packed with people. Great place to watch wimbledon and the employees were real food trying to serve as fast as they could to the packed crowd. All in all a great experience, except for Federer lost 😪
W. F.
My daughter was told today she has cancer. I said I will take you wherever you want for lunch, she said Dog and Fox Wimbledon Village and we couldn't have wished for best service. Nico Brown was amazing and really looked after us. Such an amazing young man. Thank you Nico xx
J. W.
There are good and bad days for this pub. Wimbledon season here tends to attract a different demographic, sundays too. That's when the staff gets highly stressed, the kitchen can't cope and front of house goes into overdrive. Food output suffers, like our sunday roast. They should overhaul the drinks selection.
j. m.
A pleasant space more room then most pubs, a gastro pub, great oysters, the roasted cauliflower salad was delicious as was the roast pheasant breast.
R. S.
Lovely feel in the restaurant and the menu looks lovely. However the food is achingly expensive, I would highly recommend for drinks and group meet ups as they had live music in the bar and the drinks aren't too dear.
M. C.
Nice food but limited menu. Nice bar and atmosphere. Music on a Saturday (not sure about the other evenings). Staff were nice if not the most efficient.
Z. g. R. M. 6.
Brilliant manager Lawrence does the job, bar staff easy to talk to make you feel welcome always dressed smart. The food was brilliant as well
P. J.
Great local pub with good menu and a great selection of beers. Enjoyed the roast Sunday lunch with a few friends and a couple of smelly dogs. (Or was that the other way around?)
C. W.
We had a nice wine/coffee after meeting exactly there a year ago. Mikey really ensured we were well looked after
J. L.
Decent pub, I went on Saturday night with my brother. They had some live music which was nice. It can get busy so if you want to get a table / seat then get there early.
D. Y.
Very nice pub with a chilled atmosphere. The trio Sunday Roast was top notch!
L. v. S.
During Wimbledon...busy. Had a meal and food was good. Family friendly. One of few places that that don't overcharge for a soda and cordial.
A. T.
Beautiful place to stay. Brilliant breakfast and lovely relaxing atmosphere to sit and enjoy a drink and soak in the Village. And only a stone's throw from the Common. Well worth it
S. F. T. G.
Nice and relaxing place where to have a pint. Also good looking burgers 🍔
They need to keep the outside area clean much often because looks always dirty and unpleasant
A. K.
quite a busy pub in Wimbledon Village especially on a Friday night, no seats inside but found a table outside. good crowd of people and was served quite quickly. asked for tap water and served without any issues or strange looks. very friendly bartenders.
R. E.
I've been to the pub a few times. There's always a good atmosphere and there are a good selection of food and drink on offer. It's slightly pricier than I would like though.
W. B. C.
Huge pub with great atmosphere and great food. Child friendly with very nice staff, Sunday roast well worth it by bear in mind can get busy so book if you can.
J. B.
Popped in during a minor blizzard for a bit of shelter and a pint. The staff were friendly and the general vibe was cozy. Real ale was well kept and food all looked good.
D. T.
Lovely building, large bar area and a quite grand dining room. Pleasant ambience on a delightful spring day. Attentive staff and good beer!
G. B.
Stayed one night here, and it's not expensive for such an affluent area. But it's like a rabbit warren; I wouldn't like to be caught in a fire there. The room was large and 'quaintly' decorated, but the loo was squeezed in a corner by the bath and impossible to sit comfortably on, plus the loo seat was broken. The pillows were hard, so inexpensive it might have been, but next time I'll pay more and go somewhere better.
M. F.
Great customer service and consideration. Although we did not have a reservation they allowed my mother and us to sit at a table until the guests that had booked arrived. Many thanks.
J. W.
This is a fun pub. Very busy and loud on a Saturday evening, but plenty of seats outside. Great wine selection!
S. D.
Nestled in the middle of chocolate-box pretty Wimbledon Village, this huge pub (nicely segmented so it feels cosy) is certainly popular with locals. I wasn't very impressed with my too-sweet mulled cider, though, and they managed to mess up the food order for a medium-size table twice. The atmosphere, too, was more office party than local night out but that could be because it's near Christmas.
J. S.
We normally have a fab time here, but Mothers day was just a disaster. Waitress for orders wrong, dessert was cold. I wonder if they were just too busy.
D.
Great food service is a little slow
C.
Lovely room a bit on small side. Food okay but lukewarm. Latte almost warm. Friendly staff who are very efficient. But there were children running about uncontrollably.
W. S.
Loved the place, food was good and tge staff was even better. however quite loud inside to try talk to one another as there were loads of people and live music at one point. However still very enjoyable!
M. S.
We sat outside the dog and fox in the sun and only want inside to use the toilet but that's another story.
With food ordered and.drinks served we chatted among ourselves and came to the conclusion Wimbledon Village is ok except for the man who watched every move i made, from parking the car to putting my Blue Badge in the front screen to unpacking and using my walking frame. But i digress.
Food comes and we are not disappointed. Thr food was lish piping hot and full of cheesy macaroniness.
My wife had the cheese board, equally as tasty, whilst my step daughter and myself had mack and cheese. Half a pint of beer and 2 glasses of orange squash were consumed. And now the dissapointing bit £50 was the cause of my anxt. Was that too much?
Now back to the toilet issue.I needed the toilet as many people do, so off i goes. Sadly i notice too late there is no paper so I call my wife who asks the bar manager who, my wife says, was put out at having to get up and "allocate" toilet paper. Nothing.being subtle about this guy and in a packed restaurant said manager announces the arrival of toilet roll and suggests my wife sort it out from here. No apology or free drink or concern about a disabled customer stranded in the loo. Nuff said.nm
G. P.
Nice pub but it's too expensive. It's £5.45 for a Guinness which is just extreme. Other drinks are similarly expensive so I wouldn't recommend buying a round of drinks!
L. F.
Great Wimbledon pub for a beer or Sunday roast with family and friends! Staff are always warm and menu is well priced for what you get.
S. M.
Had our staff xmas party. Good venue but the bar counter is too busy at best of times on a Saturday. Pace and urgency was lacking. Apart from that all good.
G. G.
Excellent place to go for a night out with friends, family or loved ones. Staff is absolutely brilliant and very friendly . Highly recommended!!!
N. C.
As the central pub in Wimbledon Village, the Dog and Fox is always popular, particularly at weekend lunchtimes. You will often see people wandering forlornly, looking for seats. It is no surprise though, as they offer good food (including excellent roasts), a decent selection of Youngs beer and other drinks, rapid & professional service, some comfortable chairs (if you manage to grab one!), and the building itself feels roomy and full of character. The Dog & Fox is not cheap, but then nothing in the area is.
k.
Very good food. The fries where perfect as well as the burger. Waiters where kind but did not put the necessary condiments (ketchup, salt)
J. T.
Welcoming, stylish and contemporary pub in Wimbledon hill. The Dog & Fox serves a very wide selection of wines, beers, ales and spirits. There food is also very good, and you can choose to sit in the pub area (which is more than comfortable enough), or to eat in the restaurant area which is even more comfortable and a bit quieter. This place has a fantastic vibe, the staff are great and it's one of my favourite places to drink in Wimbledon.
J.
Lovely food but no mint sauce for roast dinner and the table was definitely a 5 seater table, not a 7 like we reserved, so we had to move table when one became available. We would attend this venue again
L. S.
Lovely little pub. Good atmosphere, good drinks and good food
s. f.
Great value great rooms great staff , just great really , Big thankyou to the young lady on hotel reception when we checked in around 13 -20 pm yesterday shes a credit to your company she looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed , so just great 👍
R. S.
Great place, excellent food & drink, friendly, polite staff with a great sense of humour.. well managed by Hannah, Alex and others.. 10/10
S. G.
Great gastro pub. Bar area can get very busy in evenings. Food is good but seriously over priced.
V. F.
Had a company Christmas lunch here today and I can say that food was great and the service was simply amazing! Really enjoyed it!
J. M.
Good pub. Spacious. Reasonable pricing. Nice outdoor areas in the summer. Great vibe on weekends and during the tennis tournament. Can be a bit busy.
W. Z.
A favourite of mine. Classic pub, great sofas and ambience. Good food and drink. Great venue for families and pub lunches.
T. O.
This place is a comfy, pretty trendy pub. They sell a few craft beers, ciders and a nice ginger beer. I was just passing through but it seemed to attract all ages and was full of life.
G. Y.
Offers a more formal restaurant area or casual pub area, with food served in both. A reasonable selection of beers. Can be difficult to get a seat on weekends.
L. P.
Friendly service and a fair priced Sunday roast though a little lighter on the meat portion than I would have liked. Would be nice if they had more ales available.
K. S.
lovely food, excellent high quality menu. staff really nice. would go again.
D. R.
Came here for drinks over the bank holiday weekend and arrived when the FA Cup Final was on. Had no problem getting served, wide range of drinks, takes cards (and contactless) - happy days!
B. I.
The food was fantastic, service was great and a good choice of beers made this a lovely lunch. Will definitely go back.
G. T.
Great, other than one rather rude member of staff who rather than politely asking us to move had a rather childish rant as we moved without being asked. One has to ask the question why work in the service sector if one doesn't have any manners?
H. Z.
A great pub with a good selection of food and drink. The restaurant staff were great at accommodating our requests for vegan and dietary requirements.
K. M.
Nice pub, there was a delay in food coming out and from their own volition the manager offered drinks as compensation which was appreciated given the hour plus wait.
M. K.
Drinks where good. Food was interesting, a level up from standard pub grub. The visiting fox was dealt with swiftly. A comfortable sofa and a great chin-wag.
J. B.
Have been to this pub on several occasions, experience is always pleasant. Can be very busy, so book ahead if you want a table.
P. L.
Nice pub, staff friendly and work hard. Good covid safe place.
M. P.
Nothing fancy , but it was such a lovely place, great service, and yummy food in the end... it doesn't have the pretentiousness of other places in the area and I think it makes a perfect destination for a Sunday brunch
C. A.
Dog Friendly pub. Food to a good standard but the care and attention to customers was not at a level that you would expect in the village area or Wimbledon.
R. C.
One of the best roast dinners in London.. But come early on a Sunday or you'll miss out. The Yorkshire puddings are the size of your head!
R. S.
What a place! Amazing food and service. Will be back soon.
T. H.
Nice location in Wimbledon Village. Service as prompt and attentive. The beef roast was delicious, if a little on the small side. Would definitely return
S.
Lovely little pub, gets very busy in summer and in ten evenings. Food is nice and service is good.
R. V.
Excellent Sunday roast with a massive Yorkshire pudding. Good selection of beers, a laid back atmosphere and friendly staff.
J. G.
Nice spacious pub located in the heart of Wimbledon village. Great for Sunday roasts. Closes too early on a Saturday though
L. G.
Lovely dog friendly pub. Did prefer it when there were cosy sofas. They had run out of ploughmans but did rectify it.
J. S.
Nice inside, bit over priced on meals and was even over charged on top. So watch how they add up your bill, mine was £2.00 more than it should have been and no explanation!
A. O.
Very good pub and hotel on Wimbledon High Street. Also, host events. If they had parking, it would have been 5 stars.
A. S.
Great pub, Sunday roast was amazing. Superb location and reasonably priced. Overall a great experience and a big thumbs up!!!
E. D.
Good pub, nice place. Staff is kind but overall not exceptional. The veggie burger I tried was very basic.
B. R.
Super pub if going for a quick pint or a meal with friends or family. Good vibe and accommodating for families
G. P.
Went for a post tennis drink. Very rowdy crowd. If you a well to do, home counties middle class and white, you will like it. If you're not from that exclusive demographic, you feel very out of place
A. T.
Friendly barman recommended us the excellent banana bread beer. Pleasant enough, though a shame it didn't offer an escape from the omnipresent televised rugby game.
P. B.
Great service and atmosphere. Drinks are pricey but that's wimbledon village for you. I'd go again and would consider it a venue for a private function.
N. C.
Really lovely lunch spot. Dog and baby friendly! Great service and food
S. B.
Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff. Didn't have food but enjoyed a nice glass of wine!
E. P.
Nice food. Expensive. One our party got their order as the rest were finishing
C.
Always a great pub. A little on the pricey side, but you can sit outside in the sunshine so what more could you want?
H. G.
I just had a fantastic evening with my friend at this place. I really appreciate the service of Mikey. Lovely and fun 🙋♀️
N. G.
Stayed at the b&b here and remembering very fondly. Best place hands down that I have stayed in while in London.
Fab staff, beautiful rooms & perfect location.
A. T.
Lots of kids and dogs so very family friendly. Lots of space and good food. Not the cheapest place, but it was worth the slightly pricier cost. A nice place.
I. B.
Actually, surprisingly good service last night, the staff really seem to be a lot better than I remember. Bravo! Also, draft Moretti and Estrella? Can't go wrong really 😀
S. J.
Pretty standard pub menu but it's huge so plenty of seating. There is a private area you can hire that looks great.
B. C.
Best pub in this area, good food, good drinks, nice fellow staff and pretty much good sports taste! I give it 5 stars.
C. J.
Good atmosphere but very expensive. If you are buying a round with a couple of glasses of wine, buy a bottle instead. Better value.
M. S.
The food was brilliant and the service was absolutely impeccable, would certainly recommend.
L. K. M.
Fantastic atmosphere, great place to eat, relax and eat
J. H.
Lovely pub in the heart of wimbledon village. The missus nearly had a heart attack when she saw the prices though
S. D.
Great place for a pint on a sunny day. Great service and outdoor seating
S. D.
Would have got 5 stars if a waiter/waitress could have bothered to take drinks orders from a privately booked room.
C.
Great food, great beer and friendly staff. What more could you want?!
K. B.
Great local pub with a good selection of drinks and food. Family friendly until evening hours.
O.

E. A.
My favorite pub in the area! I love this place, the atmosphere and the food is so delicious! This place is a must!
L. T.
Good food and very kind staff. It's a bit pricey but expected from the area. It can get crowded. Not very good sorting of beers, very commercial.
N. D.
Nice staff bit pricey, but had a great evening. If anyone knows the beautiful woman who was drinking Aperol, do let me know.
L. P.
Nice pub good food. Not a great choice of beers on draft though. Good for families.
B.
Lovely staff, the food was alright. A bit disappointed with the chicken caesar salad :(

Good food but the place can get very busy. The food is really worth it though and if you can try the Sunday roast.
T. D.
Ok place
K. C.
Friend staff, plenty of space, good outside seat g area. Good food and varied selection of drinks.
R. W.
Good location for bars and restaurants, stylish room and a Nespresso machine. The staff were friendly and breakfast was great.
f. c.
Grear setting, amazing service but the food wasn't up to expectations. No crackling on the pork belly roast which I find disappointing.
N. J.
Great pub! Food is yummy! Although can get very busy at times.
a.
Beautiful pub in a prime location, genuine staff, great food and a vibe for all types of clientele
D. P.
Popped in for a pub lunch, good location warm and cosy ,food disappointing cold burger ( burger and chips ) I wish I had complained but needed to move my car to avoid a ticket.
M. F.
Extremely good service.Jenny was a dream, so helpful and made our afternoon very pleasant! I highly recommend.
D. M.
Overpriced and uninspired food menu but has a nice atmosphere. Stop off for a drink or two but eat somewhere else in the village
T. B.
I had a great experience at the dog & fox, having stopped there for drinks on the way through. Thr staff were friendly and I would recommend it
D.
Excellent service. Polite, friendly, super helpful receptionists. Fantastic rooms. Clean, quirky and comfy
J. F. -. B.
Cosy, romantic, peaceful, all three words sum up the Dog & Fox, be it a quiet drink at the bar or that meal for two in their restaurant. You can do no better
K. A.
Excellent atmosphere and facilities. Lovely and attentive staff. Food and drinks reasonably priced
K. S.
Friday night at the Dog & Fox, overflowing with cheerful people so there was a happy and bustling atmosphere. Drinks and food were enjoyed by all.
D. P.
Pleasant stay in one of the unique bedrooms. Spacious. Quiet. Central location. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff.
G. M.
It's alright, average selection of beer. Sat outside which is sadly by the road but good for people watching.
M. G.
Reasonably good food, but nothing special. Somewhat expensive. Best thing is the staff, very kind.
I. L.
Good place for a drink and a quick bite. Wasn't a fan of having to order everything at the bar, but food and drinks were decent.
Y. K.
Good atmosphere, lovely staff, nice decoration and locals around. Sometimes they mix up the food order and food is not up to standards of the place, hence the 4 stars
I. a.
friendly atmosphere, good place, good food.

Very busy and popular local pub. Good outdoor seating. Dog bar :)
T. C.

The food isn't that good, but it's really good to bring your friends and family for a drink and just for some social time. Also you can bring your pets round with you.
S. B.
I love this place, I had room number 5 with skylight. Highly recommended. No so fan about the a la carte breakfast though.
D. R.
Cosy gastropub w/restaurant 🍴 in Wimbledon village, nice to go there during all the seasons, good selection of beer and good food too!
M. C.
I was a bit underwhelmed with the veggie burger but it was a nice setting to catch up with friends and the free bottle of wine for our table booking was a nice touch.
S. V.
We had a delicious Sunday roast here two weeks ago, the vegetarian roast was delicious!
N. L.

Let's clarify things a bit around here: the Dog & Fox it's a gastro pub but also a boutique hotel with 17 rooms.
Great venue, great location, no other efforts required.
S. B.
