Had the pleasure in visiting the bar of this lovely hotel this week, and I was ever so impressed with everything. The service from the two ladies working at the bar was absolutely outstanding. They were ever so attentive, helpful, kind and knowledgeable about the products on the menu. We only came for a drink or two and some snacks, but the menu was very impressive, so we had to try some of them dishes. The pork belly with cabbage and broccoli was absolutely mouth watering and I cannot recommend it enough.

The first night was very relaxing nice comfortable but i think we were so tired we just crashed out second night was a different story the beds very uncomfortable you could feel the spring digging in your side as you twisted & turned trying to find a good spot. Real shame as the staff were very polite & helpful. The bar area was very nice & relaxing spot to chill & have a drink or bite to eat. Rooms very clean. Just them dam! Mattress.

Lovely place situated near London transport to easily get you into the city. Lively comfortable room great nights sleep, reasonable bar prices. Breakfast has so much to choose from. Will book again

Great hotel with lovely rooms. Best breakfast ever! Staff friendly and helpful. Super good food at great prices in the bar and restaurant. Will definitely come back here.

Stayed in this hotel for one night as a surprise gift for my Nephews birthday. I called the hotel a week in advance asking if they could arrange some type of banners etc to be put up in the room ready for when we arrived. I was told they will try to.
When we arrived we walked into a room with a banner wishing happy birthday on the door, balloons on the bed, a helium happy birthday balloon, and a bag of gifts paired with a birthday card which had been signed by all the hotel staff! Not just a standard card but one with the age of my nephew on it. All of this was organised from a simple 2 minute call!
Can't thank the staff enough, walking around the hotel all the staff were aware and wished him a happy birthday. Goes to show how the hotel really cares about ensuring we had a great stay and my nephew already wants to go back!

Staff were so polite and friendly, such amazing service! The room and views were so beautiful, really enjoyed our stay! 10/10 staff, will definitely recommend!

This hotel is in a fabulous location to cycle London safely. The reception staff were wonderfully accommodating to sourcing safe bicycle storage. I felt a sense of calm in the hotel, suggesting all staff knew their roles confidently, providing a very peaceful stay. The proximity to London city airport is not an issue in terms of sound, we couldn't hear any planes from our room, due to quadruple glazing. Obviously the room and facilities were spotless, and the bed is so comfy and spacious. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay and relaxing experience.

Front of house staff were very helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy. The restaurant staff need better communication between each other. Parents need to keep their children under control in the restaurant as it's not a play area.

Really nice clean rooms, view of the water is lovely, can see all the buildings in Canary Wharf lighten up, currently staying here for 2 nights, great breakfast.

The Hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the DLR Prince Regent station, and a 10 minutes bus ride from London City Airport. The hotel is definitely up to the high standard I have come to expect from Hilton. I was appreciated as a diamond member and received a warm welcome from Courtney at reception. On check in I was given the signature cookie and 2 bottles of water.
As a Diamond Member I received an upgrade to a suite, with the most wonderful views. It was equipped with A/C, 2 TV's, a coffee machine, Kettle for tea & coffee. The bathroom had a really great rain shower and seperate hand shower, with the little touches like bathrobe and slippers, Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries. The Bedroom room was spotlessly clean and the bed exsteemly comfortable, Breakfast is a buffet service with hot and cold food, and a chef on duty to prepare omelettes etc. the coffee is excellent. The wifi in my room was good and more than adequate for emails etc. I was certainly made to feel at home and very much a valued guest. The Hotels location is excellent, and is certainly excellent value for money.

Excellent stay, staff helpful as always and doing there best to work through covid restrictions and make the stay as easy as possible. Bernadette is a huge reason that we keep coming back to the Hotel and Sergio and his staff in the bar are fantastic and we will be returning again soon!

Spent a great weekend at the hotel
A good selection of hot and cold food at breakfast. Hotel bar prices were reasonable. Bed very comfortable and all staff made us feel welcomed. Special thanks to the bar staff, great vodka martini. Took about 40 mins to get to central london on the underground but worth it as the Dockland area was peaceful. We will be returning.

Really lovely welcome from the friendly, helpful reception and restaurant staff. Clean and comfortable bedroom, plenty of hot water and good pressure in the shower. Small but varied menu for restaurant, bar area and room service. Cl

The room with the view is fantastic, great landscape shot of London from the window. Room itself is top notch. Only docks points because there was no fridge. Everything else is premium tier. Lovely stay in general.

We had a very comfortable, lovely and clean room in this well located hotel near the city airport. Ample parking spaces for hotel guests and a DLR station nearby
It’s so conveniently located to walk around the pier area or cross over the dockside with the footbridge.
The staff are very friendly and helpful during our breakfast and dinner.
Food is delicious and well prepared and service is excellent from Mr Sergio and his team during the evening in the cafe bar area. We truly enjoyed our 2 nights stay and for sure would visit again

Pleasant staff, the hotel was extremely busy and as such highlighted some of the issues, particularly with breakfast I wasn't able to get any breakfast breakfast my duration due to the length of ques an slow service. However as I mentioned previously the staff were very polite and accommodating. The room was slightly tatty and worn due to age and also the aircon has to be switched of by the reception desk.

We stayed here for our 11th anniversary, and glad we did. The place is amazingly clean, staff friendly and helpful, food really good and room was great, would have been nice to get a dock view, but for what we paid I'm more than happy. I will definitely be back again, Thank You
H. A.
Friendly staff, decent size rooms with nice decor would definitely use this hotel again. Cheap parking right outside the hotel which was a bonus

Holiday Inn is better. Double Tree needs to improve everything. The only good thing you get is the free cookie you get when you check in.

This hotel was a pleasure to stay at, the food was fantastic and the rooms and service were incredible, I will be coming here again.

Staff are friendly and professional, room was nice size with good shower and bed. The hotel is very clean.

Wonderful one night stay, Mr Din and Mr Mao were very welcoming. Although it very late at night when we checked in. They were caring. Thanks to the ladies too at the reception, who were very caring. Definitely, will come again. We'll done all! Thanks a million for your kind hospitality. Mr and Mrs Hussein
N. B.
Thank you to the team for your hospitality during our visit, our room was clean and there was special attention paid to Covid protocols in these times. The front desk team is great humoured, friendly, and really went above and beyond to accommodate our requests, we'd love to come back again

I selected this rating because of the fantastic customer care the staff provided. From the start of us checking in, Navid ( the Hotel Manager) showed us respect and made us feel welcomed. Throughout the evening, we met Mohammed, and he was friendly and highly professional. In the morning at breakfast, the supervisor Aga was so hospitable with our requests and made my friends Birthday special. Thank you for making our stay so peaceful.

Had a fantastic clean room over looking the river, a nice and well organised hotel and the staff are very professional and polite. Check in was fast and easy and we were also given free home cooked 🍪 cookies.
A fantastic touch.
Thank you to all the management and staff at hilton double tree Excel for a warm welcome and a clean room and lovely stay.
I'm definitely coming back next month for my birthday.
Warmest Regards

From Room 529 31/08/21 I just want to say i have really enjoyed my stay at this Hotel the staff have been very helpful and pleasant at all times and happy, which makes a big difference to the atmosphere, the rooms are great you have to expect some sort of noise there are other people here too and it's not on a secluded Island so some noise is to be expected like in all Hotels, i was booked in here by my company for a short stay of 3 days i haven't wanted for anything and all my needs have been met with from very helpful staff who really do try make your stay a stay worth while, my room was great and really didn't expect it to be the Ritz as it's to sleep then work and it's a short stay, the food was fantastic and i enjoyed all the meals i had form the Menu and the Breakfast there was always plenty there and to choose from, so a big thumbs up from me if you're looking to stay here anytime I'd recommend it they're are great views across the Thames to City of London and looks great at night, and i have to say all the people i have met in London have been so happy i wish we had the same in Bristol maybe Bristol need more people from London to move there. Thank you DoubleTree Hilton Hotel London ExceL

Seemed like the only place that had any atmos after hard day of work at Excel. Some very good staff and some very bad staff experiences. Also seem to have a beer supply issue as most taps were out and fridge stock was low. Not sure if this was a lorry driver issue. When it was good it was good. Just a bit hit and miss
E.
The service received was as expected. Thanks guys. Highly recommended and will be back next time I visit the city of London.

The staff were pleasant and professional, the rooms were not as described on the website and were dated and patched up. The hotel was situated in an accessible area for transport in to London. The cost of the room was expensive for what you received.

Lovely hotel staff friendly and courteous, room clean as is the rest of the hotel. Would highly recommend

Nice hotel a little farout from center of london

This is a wonderful hotel. Beautiful inside and outside. If u are a Hilton member assign yourself a room facing the Dock, wow its a lovely view. The only thing that's missing at the hotel it's a small bar fridge, for short stay it might not be an issue for not having a fridge but for long stay I feel it is a requirement.

When it comes to a hotel with a view this one doesn't go wrong. By a waterfront snd London city airport breathtaking views galore literally. Free parking for guests around the hotel which is a bonus. As we walked in to check in we were greeted with 2 warm welcome cookies that went down the palette very well, and given information about breakfast and the facilities around the hotel. They upgraded our room to Queen Deluxe room with a view as it was my boyfriend's birthday which was really nice for free as well. The hotel is clean and kept really well, we were on floor 5 and what l loved about the rooms was before you walked in you could see that from the time the room was cleaned and sanitised noone else had been in there after as you had to break a seal when you got into your room as the firs person back in there after the cleaner. This showed us how strongly they are adhering to covid restrictions and rules and made us feel more comfortable and safe. The room was huge amazing size bed as you can imagine with a draw lace curtain snd curtain opening up to a mini terrace and a view out of this world. It was an amazing sight. We booked our stay through groupon and it gave us a dinner spend on maim course in the evening and included breakfast the next day too which was convenient. For dinner we had salmon for me and a burger for my boyfriend. The next morning we won't up to go for breakfast and was utterly spoilt for choice. So much variety and things on offer you don't know what yo do with yourself. I went to the gym about 45 mins after breakfast and it was again highly sanitised only 2 people at a time in each session of an hour each. After checking out l checked out the bar whilst waiting for my boyfriend to come and pick me up as he had gone off to a meeting. The waiting area was so comfort with beautiful furniture and decor that just inspires you to redecorate when you get back home.

Fantastic spacious room, great breakfast, good lobby to have meetings and get some work done. Thank You Hilton DoubleTree EXCEL

The Hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the DLR Prince Regent station, and 10 minutes from London city airport. The hotel is definitely up to the standard I have come to expect from Hilton.
I was really appreciated as a diamond member and received a warm welcome from reception at check in and given a room upgrade to an exquisite suite.
My room was beautifully appointed with fabulous views. It was equipped with A/C, TV, Coffee machine and a Kettle for tea & coffee. The bathroom had both bath & shower and the little touches such as bath robes, slippers, and luxury toiletries. The bedroom was clean, nicely furnished and the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast is a buffet service with hot and cold food, and a chef on duty to prepare omelettes etc. The coffee at breakfast was excellent. The Wi-Fi in my room was good and quite fast. All the staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive, and certainly go the extra mile to make guests welcome and feel at home. The Hotels location is excellent for the Ex cell and certainly excellent value for money
R. B.
Overall enjoyed my stay. The staff was very helpful and attentive, making all the difference. The room accomodation was adequate even though it was only a double bed and no dressing gown supplied. The food available is very limited and breakfast experience was spoilt by covid compliant rules.
T.
The staff was pleasant and the room was clean and well presentable a few minutes walk to the DLR and always lovely cookies from the Double tree hotels

Really clean hotel and the bed was super comfy. Fantastic breakfast and the staff were very friendly and polite.

The best hotel in Excel
one of my favourite hotel. Stayed in Doubletree by hilton ExCeL, very friendly and cooperative staff. Front office has helped us a lot. The manager Navid is just outstanding at his service. Housekeeping and restaurant both are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is at very good location, near the city airport and Excel exhibition centre. Restaurant manager and bar staffs are very friendly

Love this place. Parking facilities there. Staffs are really good. Great place for staying and meeting. Close to city airport

Very comfortable rooms, great ExCel location and friendly staff throughout.

Always a pleasure. Would like Pina Coloda added to cocktail menu

Great location )only minutes walk from the Excel centre with car parking and good routes into the city, the hotel was very cosy had many different places to relax in the lobby area including cafe, bar and a restaurant. The breakfast was well worth the money, I had a vegetarian and tried the veg sausages for the first time which was very tasty, the rooms were very clean, ours did not have a water view (it was quiet at night) but from the end of the corridor we could see the marina and planes taking off/ landing at the London airport. The staff were pleasant and we had a good banter with them once we got to know them a little, but the absolutely best thing about our stay (in Feb 2020) was the warm cookies the guys at the reception desk gave us the first night we arrive (also the second night but they had ran out of them on the third night).
Although it was a business trip, these little things made a big impact, so much so that I am writing this review in September 2020 as I sit here ready to book another stay at the Hilton.

The staff were great. The food was good. The air handling unit kept us awake most of the night with noise. No openning windows made the room stuffy
L. C.
Amazing hotel, the views over London were brilliant. The food delicious and the staff very helpful

We came to visit with the kids, the receptionist (gentleman) was very kind and helpful, the room was lovely and breakfast was exceptional.
M. M.
So its a good location, really friendly staff and away enough from the hustle and bustle to be good for families. Rooms are smaller than average and could do with modernising
E. H.
Ideally located Hotel to stay at while attending a conference at the Excel and a short walk from the DLR & London City Airport
V. S.
Despite Corona restrictions, they managed to make our stay very comfortable. Staff is great and very helpful. I think we will be continuing to stay in this hotel when staying in London.

The service received was as expected. Thanks guys. Highly recommended and will be back next time I visit the city of London.

Staff were very welcoming and the hot chocolate cookie was a nice touch. Lovely, clean and spacious rooms. Bathroom was fine, although sometimes the drain made a strange noise, but that's hardly worth mentioning. We had a nice view on the airport, but even though it was very close, we didn't have a problem with the noise. The window in our room was quite small, maybe to minimize the noise of the planes? Breakfast was perfectly fine.

Great Stay - Good size room, tasty breakfast, great value room service, great rate, close to DLR - what more could you ask for :-)

Brilliant, lovely stay as always at another Doubletree, I love them and always enjoy the free cookie!

just now on Google
Hotel was absolutely lovely, room was beautiful. Let us check in one hour and a half early and nice check out time of 12. However, when I left I was charged £5.50 on my card , when I called I asked what for they said it was for two bottles of water, when we did not drink the water. Had to pay £50 deposit which we don’t get back until 7 working days after we leave which I believe is bad as not knowing you had to pay £50 then all of a sudden not having it for over a week is hard especially as it’s Christmas. When I called up to ask about the money coming out and another time about the deposit money coming back the staff were rude and short with me on the phone. So although the hotel was lovely and service was good face to face, over the phone was no good and initially tried to charge for something I didn’t use.

Staff always very helpful I have been visiting regularly for past 4yrs always a good visit, good breskfast.
Great location for DLR & Excel.

Totally overwhelmed by how amazing this hotel was. I know everyone's experience won't be the same but for us, it could not have been better. From arrival to leaving, everything went beyond expectations. When we arrived I quickly popped in to find out where to park, I expected to be vaguely told by a hand gesture but we were actually accompanied out and guided to a space. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and the room was just amazing, views over the river and could see the planes coming in to land (can happily report we heard no noise during the night from the airport). The room was very clean and stocked with toiletries and towels. Everyone was so friendly, saying hello as we passed. The bar was welcoming and had every gin I could want to try! Breakfast, there was a short queue but they were ever so apologetic. Breakfast was brilliant, despite being busy, all food was kept fresh and filled. I highly recommend this hotel, and we will definitely be back - it made it very easy to get into London (tube a 5 min walk).
T. M.
I gave the maximum rating here in relation to the simple needs of our stay. Great location with the DLR service to the city and being next to the river Thames. Very happy staff who kept giving out free cookies in reception! Lovely room and nice breakfast in a great breakfast room. We really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed at the Doubletree Hotel prior to flying out from London City Airport.
I found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. When I say all the staff I am of course including the staff that we do not see without whom the Hotel would not run so smoothly.
The room that I had was nice and spacious. You can see the Airport and also Canary Wharf.
I had sandwiches in the bar and they were delicious.
I will definitely be staying here again next time I am flying out of London City Airport.
P.
Located closer to the Excel London, and the city airport. The hotel has nice view of the river and places around it.
You can talk a walk along the river bank, morning or evening there are lot to see. Breakfast is good, services too.
Not high end or classy rooms for regulars prices but worth what you pay. Clean and complementary stuffs for the Honors members. I liked it.
I. D. A.
Room are small, but if you get a view of the Thames that will worth.
Staff are very welcoming and professional. Was a work visit but enjoyable
R. T.
Very nice stay great breakfast
G. O.
Great place just outside the hecticness of the City but close enough to jump on a train to get into the centre. Rooms are clean and more than adequate. Reception staff were friendly. As were the waiting staff in the restaurant for breakfast. Brilliant selection for breakfast and nice service from staff. Check out was at a good time for us, at 12, having done Victoria Dock parkrun it made it a more pleasant stay knowing we didn't have to rush. We'd definitely go back.
H. D.
Stayed during lockdown for work. Very clean, good selection of food available on room service and helpful welcoming staff. Can’t speak for the other facilities as due to COVID restrictions nothing was open.
A. K.
Nice place for a small vacation parking is hazzle if u r driving otherwise all gud...
K. C.
Massively over priced, but they can due to location. The main entrance looks like a tradesman entrance, the room was small and breakfast didn't start until an unusually late time, almost med holiday venue times, but supposed to be a business hotel.
Having said all this, the location is ideal for city airport and Excel. Reception and bar staff were friendly, room was clean. My door was locked preventing me from getting a good view of the docks from the balcony. I am sure the hotel would have sorted that had I of asked.
R. H.
Could have been a 5 star review, was almost a 3 star. Clean, modern, very friendly staff. The food in the restaurant was excellent but, on my first night at least, service was soul destroyingly slow and on my first morning, I was seated and promptly forgotten. Heading for 3 stars at that point but, on the second night, the service was excellent and we had a fantastic meal. Very comfortable bed too, slept like a log.
G. T.
Excellent hotel located near the Excel Centre and docklands. Enjoyed the cookie on arrival. My room was a decent size, clean and comfortable with en-suite shower room (as I requested) and beautiful views towards London City Airport. Ordered room service for my evening meal which was delicious and the waiter was very helpful. I pre-booked the buffet breakfast in the dining room which again was delicious with a wide variety of choice. The gentleman on reception was also very helpful and professional.
S. S.
5 min walk from the station, Prince Regent. Walkable distance to London city airport. Good location for the excel and central London.
Negatives are - I went during/for an event at the Excel which meant the hotel was rather busy. I had a room which faced the water, on the 4th floor. The room was nice enough but with very limited spaces for storage of clothes. To the extent that I had to put them on the desk.
Had a 10 min wait to be seated for breakfast - the food was nice but not amazing, standard buffet breakfast. - second morning was better, no wait.
Had no hot water on the first night - and only tepid water on the second. When telling the receptionist they just said “yes we have a problem” offering no solution or apology. I logged a complaint via Hilton online, to which internal management where alerted who sent up complimentary bottle of wine and some snacks. But no solution to the shower. - just saying it as it is - you can judge the situation as it is. But I don’t think a bottle of wine makes up for a lack of shower.
Could not open window - not a massive deal, but room could get quite stuffy.
Ordered a duck salad for lunch it was below average. Would not recommend.
Would recommend to hotel overall, as it was reasonable quality, and a few bad things which could happen anywhere. I just think I went at a busy time and the staff were over worked. Despite this, I was not happy with the way issues where dealt with. I will be following this up with management.
H. M.
We had a room on 6th floor, very spacious and the bed was not dirty like other places. Staff were welcoming and we got it at a right bargain! Can't go wrong especially with that lovely warm cookie they give at check-in!!!
A. G.
Staff were helpful and friendly, food was great. Room clean and tidy but no big light! I have to say this is by far the best hotel I have stayed In, in London. Missed out on 5stars as there was only 2 milk in the room but noodles of choose for tea and coffee, more milk please. Really good sleep and stay.
L. H.
Nice hotel a little farout from center of london
W. C.
Decent hotel trapped in slightly dated building. Rooms are decent enough, the top floor suite is quite nice and spacious. The breakfast is decent and it's relatively close to the station.
They give you a warm chocolate cookie when you check in, which is a lovely touch. The staff are warm and helpful too.
D. T.
Great space. Wasn't too sure about breakfast
E. M.
Loved the place. You can easily reach it with public transport. Our room did has a very nice view on the river below. The restaurant is nice, I had a delicious lamb shepherd pie. The buffet breakfast presents a good sweet / savory choice. Kind staff and clean room.
O. F.
At the reception we were treated to a very warm welcome even though we weren't staying. My wife and I were dropping her mom off. We received a very fresh, tasty, chocolatey and sweet treat! The hotel and room were really neat and tidy with very friendly staff. I'd recommend the place.
N. D.
Considering its four star, I didn't rate it as much as the four star holiday inn that has a far superior breakfast buffet. Also no fridge in room. ( only one down in luggage room). But it was nice and clean and staff polite and courteous.
N. A.
Good hotel, staff are friendly! Parking is good and nice dock views. Only downside is the aircraft's taking off from city airport, they make a nice rumble. But can't default on stars because of the location and the rooms blocks most the noise out
E. A.
Really loved my stay there.
I booked a room for my friend's birthday celebration. The staff were so sweet and really helped out to plan the surprise. Room service was on time. Communication was very good. Great room.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars
N. F.
Came to stay last weekend and the staff were very friendly. Took us a while to find out how the electric worked and it turned out you had to put your key in a slot on the wall. Very different lol. The rooms are very modern and have very comfortable beds. Went down to the restaurant for food and the food was delicious but just a bit pricey, but expected that with it being London. The restaurant had great views out of the window, especially when planes come in and out of City Airport. The breakfasts are well prepared and absolutely delicious. I lost my wallet on the Saturday and as soon as we checked into the room, there was a call to say a wallet had been handed in so whoever handed in a wallet last Saturday, THANK YOU! Check out was very simple and really good links to the DLR. Would happily stay again if I travel to London again! 5 stars!
C. H.
The stars are for the reception staff and the location only. Rooms are little run down. Bar staff totally non attentive. Housekeeping staff do not (or pretend to not) speak English and find it ok to walk into room when do not disturb sign on door on regular basis and become rude when you challenge them on it. Would not stay again even though we were upgraded to a suite which was appreciated at time of check in. Gym was good though and breakfast choices nice. We stayed when new menu just arrived in restaurant and seemed a good change.
B. L.
The hotel was nice enough but the bathroom was in poor condition as shown in pictures below. We also found phone and ecig chargers in our room obviously from the previous guests (doesn't fill me with hope the room was thoroughly clean) the staff were super friendly though - we also got some amazing warm cookies upon arrival and leaving which was a nice touch. I do feel £175 was a bit much for our stay here though and probably will not return
a. m.
Room was ok, usual features ac and kettle, bed was comfortable only think that let the room down was the dated bathroom. Breakfast was great and lots of selection. Great thing is the free cookie at front desk when you come in especially when they are fresh
J. B. W. T.
Fantastic stay, friendly service and clean and tidy
A. G.
It was a nice hotel during my stay in london. The facility was very clean and presentable always. The staff was friendly and helpful despite. The breakfast offered a large variety to choose from and was delicious.
H. M.
Lovely hotel! Brilliantly located. Easy to get to the O2 and Central London. Rooms were big and clean. Staff were friendly and amazing as always. The views from the window were pretty nice too.
K. K.
Great location of hotel for where we needed to be. Transport links are good to the rest of the city. Staff were extremely helpful. The hotel was spotless. Great food, equally good bar service. Our room was very clean, good size and a very comfy bed.
M. W.
Rooms are spacious, could have a few side tables with draws. Bathroom needs a walk in shower, rather than over the bath; hence the 4/5. Breakfast is fresh, with a good selection to be had. The staff very helpful and friendly.
N. R.
Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Made for a great night's sleep! And close proximity to the Prince Regent DLR, so the connectivity is good. Bar and lounge had a good selection of food, particularly the cheese platter and fish and chips were very good.
T. M.
An Ok hotel, I really expected more from a hotel with Hilton in the name. It's troubling when you have to ask for water 5 times as the waiter never brings it. The bed was also not very comfortable. It was convenient and the staff tried to be friendly. The food was also I consistent though. Should be charging less for what you actually get.
C. B.
Got a fantastic deal here for a nights stay. Myself and my girlfriend were going out in East London for the night and so wanted somewhere not so central that had free parking.
The room itself was nice although had a couple of minor decor issues... Loose light fitting being one of them.
We'd stay again though.
Anyone wishing to stay here before or after a flight from London City Airport would find themselves only a short distance from the airport itself.

Very comfortable and attractive hotel. The bar was lovely with very low lighting and a great atmosphere. There was a great choice of food for breakfast and it was served until 11.30 which ideal for us on a Sunday! A short walk away are the ski lifts over the Thames. We then got the boat into central London.
C. V. L.
Great, quiet room with a comfortable bed. Friendly personnel and the free cookie on arrival is always nice. It's to bad that the breakfast area is too small. I had to wait on line for 15 minutes before I was able to get a seat.
L. B.
Location is good, 500 metres from a metro station tops. On the other side of the channel is the London City Airport, which makes it a nice view for planelovers like me. The hotel looks pretty nice at first sight, and that only gets confirmed when entering the room. I'm staying in a room for 2, but with a sofa that turns into a bed there's actually place for 4 people. The room comes with a safe, coffee and thee with a water boiler, a tv and some nice furniture. The bathroom is big enough and looks modern. Towels, soap and a hair dryer are included. The only downside to my room is the view (I'm looking right into the rooms at the other side of the hotel, instead of having a view of the water) and the window that doesn't open. All together a really nice experience!

Recently stayed at this hotel during a visit for an exhibition close by. The facilities are of very good standard, the staff pleasant and the service overall satisfactory as expected by DoubleTree.
The hotel is great for a business trip and rooms are facilitated with everything required to make your stay comfortable to work and relax.
Being close by the EcCel is a great advantage.
C. G.
Had a great one night stay here in a room on the 5th floor looking over London City airport and yet there was no noise. My room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Warm cookies on arrival and exceptionally friendly staff. Would stay again and happy to recommend.
M. D.
Excellent hotel! I stayed there many times and always leave happy! Beds are very comfy giving good night sleep. Rooms always clean - can’t expect anything else- end of the day it is doubletree. Very good service quick check in and out. Food very good quality! Fast room service, good choice of breakfast as well.
Would recommend!!!

2 night stay for London Triathlon. Great location for the Excel and on the water front. Very helpful staff. Just managed to get a free parking space at the front of the hotel but i understand they were accommodating in directing guests to alternatives. As i was there for the London Triathlon, i had my bike, which i was allowed to keep in my room (by signing a liability form, understandably). We were on the first floor but there were 2 lifts available.
Room was clean and modern. Twin beds were massive and really comfortable. Took my amazon fire stick but it wouldn't work in the TV for some reason. Only 1 bedside table which was on my side rather than in the middle and the bedside lights were linked so there was no way to have one side on and one off. The reading lamp also didn't work independently so was pointless. Fed this back to the hotel. As we were right next to the airport and DLR we were concerned about noise but we couldn't hear a thing with the window shut. Air con was very good so didn't need the window open.
Bar area was spacious and relaxing. They have happy hour with half price cocktails, beers and soft drinks. They also serve food in the bar until late.
Breakfast had a large variety of hot and cold foods and was really good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Peak time seemed to be about 9am.
I left my firestick, which i didn't realise until getting home. Once i was albe to get through to reception, the hotel were really helpful and arranged to post it to me the following day (at my expense, obviously).
Overall, a very positive experience. Thank you.
K. F.
A pleasant hotel, very good food, rooms clean and fresh. Good location, helpful staff.
P. B.
Very attentive staff, nice rooms and decor. Lost a star because there was no mini fridge in the room and the hotel breakfast did not have many options for non pork eaters plus the eggs were super runny at the buffet.
P. J.
Great location for Excel but not much else. Clean and comfortable though the air con was a little noisy. Not the most characterful hotel in the chain but does what it should. Food is good, service friendly. Note this is the East end of Excel - use Prince Regent DLR station which is 5 mins walk.
S. C.
Nice hotel, practically next door to the London ExCel Centre and London City Airport. Prince Albert DLR station is about a 5 minute walk, so good links into the City. Check-in and out was simple and front desk staff very friendly. Restaurant was busy, but service fast and the food was OK. Rooms clean and tidy. A little bit of noise from planes taking off from London City, but not too noticeable. Nice path along the river for walks / runs right next to the hotel.
J. P.
Convenient for the Excel and the DLR this hotel has great views and friendly, attentive staff. We were upgraded to a suite which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is average hotel buffet-fare, but they are happy to cater to specific dietary requirements (vegetarian etc) with notice.
M. L.
A nice hotel, ideal for the ExCel London, only being a 5 minute walk away. Easy links to central London on the DLR with it being only 20 minutes from Tower Hill.
Rooms are comfortable, modern and clean with good heating/air conditioning. Got a bit of a frosty welcome from reception on my arrival, and when eating in the restaurant from the restaurant manager, but overall the staff were very pleasant.
Breakfast was quiet in the mornings during the week, but was much busier at the weekend and later in the morning (8am onwards).
If you are fond of airplanes, get a waterfront view to watch them on take off or landing into London City airport. Not an issue for noise at night though as they stop around 9pm. Would definitely stay again!
A. C.
Luxurious rooms, great views, friendly and professional staff, lovely food. Would recommend and stay here again.
V. L.
Location was great because of the London city airport. However because we were driving to London, it was the best hotel to park and take the dlr into the city. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food wasn't the best and they could have done better. The rooms were clean and appropriately sized.
M. C.
Wonderful views. All staff very helpful. Room was very comfortable, as was the bed . Spotlessly clean everywhere and the buffet breakfast is worth every penny ! .A lovely relaxing bar too. Will definitely go back .
M. M.
It was a good stay. Good quality on the rooms, bed, cleaning etc. Personnel (except one) seemed a bit distanced and not quite that friendly, smiling face I expect on a hotel. But besides that a good hotel for when visiting the ExCeL.
T. S.
Good location coming from the airport (there is a pedestrian bridge under the bigger one on the left in hotel direction). Very nice staff. Room quite old, cleaned, bed comfortable enough. Breakfast in a big room at ground floor, not many kind of dishes but quite good.
J. C.
Stayed here for 2 nights, absolutely fantastic location five minutes walk to DLR Station 15 mins tube to central London. The room we stayed in was immaculate with all the facilities needed, the breakfast was very good with a great selection on offer, staff were very helpful. They only issue we had was the air conditioning was noisy in our room but our friends were staying in another room and had no problem with their air con. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again. Also we saved £300.00 by not staying central
S. M.
Very nice, as far as Hilton rooms go. Got one without a tub, but that's probably a good incentive to read what you're booking for the next time. Shower looks great, although the immovable doors cover only half of it. There will be some serious splashing :-)
There's a space for the mini-fridge, but it's nowhere to be found. I'm 50/50 on storming through them so I don't know how that makes me feel exactly. I probably shouldn't, anyway, so let's call it a good thing.
The odd thing is the absence of a pile of towels, I counted "only" 6, but I'm sure they'll give me 10 more if I ever need them.
Among other good things, the view is great! Although I generally look through the window only when I arrive and settle in. Also, the receptionists in Hilton never cease to amaze with their niceness. If it wasn't a word already, I'm making it one now :-)
She even told me I can have as make DoubleTree cookies as I wanted! She probably shouldn't have, as I'm likely to take her up on that offer :-)
G. B.
Such a lovely hotel. I slept comfortably without any noise disturbance. Breakfast was delicious with variety of choices. My room has an amazing view. I would definitely recommend this hotel for other travellers.
N. M.
An excellent stay - a really good room, service, and food (both at breakfast and in room service).
J. V.
The hotel was nice. But the noise from the nearby city airport can be heard pretty loudly. So if you expect a quiet stay then this is not for you. I had no issues sleeping but people that sleep lightly could have issues
A. H.
Nice hotel in a nice waterfront location, comfy beds and room's.
We ordered a large glass of rose and were served with a Horrendous rose blush that we likened to paint stripper and at £9.25 a glass was strangely dearer than pinot grigio by £2
Food in the restaurant was sadly poor, burger and half roast chicken were both dry and the garlic chicken didn't taste of garlic??
Breakfast was very busy but the array of food was very good and the total opposite of the evening food.
Small car park for the size of the hotel, although there's a pay and display car park on the other side of the hotel but £12 for 8 hours seemed a bit pricey
T. D.
From arrival to departure the visit was brilliant. The rooms are large and spacious and the breakfast and evening meals really good.
The staff are superb and will help find a solution to any issues you come across and the work zone / bar is a brilliant relaxed area to get work done.
My one negative experience was on the second evening there was a slight smell of marijuana on my floor when walking between the elevator and room, when I woke up in the morning this smell was extremely strong even in my room to which I had to open a window.
T. M.
Modern Doubletree with very comfortable rooms and great sound insulation so you'd not realise City Airport was under half a mile away. Staff very friendly and upgraded us to a suite. Good value stay. For us this was an ideal location …
A. M.
Location is great for the ExCel arena but this is not close to central London by any means. Hotel is nice, free warm cookie on arrival. Water in the room is charged at a premium. Rooms are very nice. Our view was not of the pictures attached to this review, rather of a carpark. The pictures were taken from the front of the hotel on the 2nd floor. Worth asking for a river facing room.
A. W.
A comfy bed, lovely food and friendly welcome; not forgetting the Double Tree Cookie awaits. Fifteen minutes walk from London City Airport and five minutes walk from Excel and Prince Regent DLR this comfortable retreat served us well. We had two nights and was our second visit.
L. H.
Excellent room and environment, great bar, great staff, could go on. Only gripes were lack of biscuits in the room! Everything else was perfect, really enjoyed our stay. Be sure to take the cable car into central London, excellent!
C. W.
The staff were absolutely amazing, so helpful and friendly. The room was lovely with great views from various places in the hotel. Did all they could to cater for gluten and dairy free dinner too :)
T. F.
Fantastic food and great service. Highly recommend
J. G.
Great location and brilliant accommodation and food, would come again
F. D.
Stayed here when we went to the O2. The welcome cookie is fabulous. Don't know about breakfast, we had to go to work before they started serving. Lovely bed though!
A. K.
DoubleTree Hilton doesn’t immediately come to mind when considering a five-star experience, but this hotel really exceeds expectations. From reception to housekeeping, restaurants and bars, to the business centre and fitness gym, everything ran like clockwork. The service is fantastic and the staff are extremely accommodating. We got a great room on level 9 with beautiful views, despite booking via Agoda and planning on passing through. Thanks Nina at reception and check-in. We ended up staying full five nights just because everything really works well. Guests are mainly here for the exhibition centre or looking for proximity to Canary Wharf. Found the place relaxing and peaceful. Can’t say enough good things about the staff, attention to detail, personalised service, and overall cleanliness and efficiency. Thanks to Peter at be restaurant. The closest station is the Prince Regent DLR. Very happy stay; will definitely stay here again if we’re in East London.
H. B.
We had a comfortable room with the usual amenities. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel is close to a DLR station with good links to the centre of London and all the sights, but is cheaper than staying in the centre.
J. S.
A good sized room and was comfortable. The bathroom was good too. The usual double tree welcome with cookie etc. The nearest DLR station was about 5 minutes walk. Pleasant stroll around the Victoria Dock was a highlight. I would stay here again when I want to do parkrun at Victoria or Beckton.
R. T.
Nice sized room but a needs a little updating
K. P.
Food at the bar/restaurant is good. Elevators are tiny. Rooms are a little small but not too cramped. Hotel is pretty clean overall. Gotta love the cookies. Would stay here again.
M. K. S.
The room was clean and spacious, but I thought for a 4 star they'd have slippers and bath robe available in the room. Also the AC was very noisy and there was no way to turn it off. Service was friendly and a good selection for breaky.
I. S.
This hotel it's better than Double Tree in Luxembourg, nice personnel at the reception, satisfactory breakfast. But someone must explain me why the bathroom have been designed in such unpractical way.... Water spills everywhere! Plus, there's no airport shuttle with any of London airports, despite being close to the London City one.
M. N.
Stayed here a few years ago, back when it was Ramada, as part of the first leg of our honeymoon. Wow. What a great hotel. Was a bit out of the way with it being on the docklands but was nice and peaceful and the DLR was just around the corner to get into London. We had to reduce our stay by one night and they were more than happy to let us arrive a day late. Upon arrival we was told that we'd been upgraded to a suite, not sure why but we accepted and it was amazing. Massive bedroom, bathroom and living room with kitchen area and table. Two TVs and great views from huge windows. All in all it was a real shame we had one night less than we'd booked, and we wished booked a couple of days more to make the most of it as two nights really wasn't enough. The restaurant was very nice too. We didn't eat an evening meal there, just breakfast but the food was great and the service excellent. The staff couldn't be more accomodating. The room service was also very good, not the largest menu, but they never are, and quite pricey, which they always are, but it was hot and tasty and quick, and eating it while in the living room was much nicer than being sat on the bed like usual. Great hotel, highly recommended.
D. D.
Nice hotel overlooking the river.
T. G.
Good value. Great breakfast. Accomodated our baby very well. No fridges in the rooms but kept milk in their fridges for me. Only downside is it's a little tricky to reach on foot. Especially in the dark with a pram
A. M.
Lovely friendly staff when we checked in and housekeeper. Nice touch to be given a warm cookie on arrival and checkout. Room very comfortable. We had a separate living room with sofa bed for children and mini kitchen incl all mod cons.
G. T.
Decent hotel and good price. the rooms are spacious although a little dark. the bed wasn't great as it slanted down at the edges. woke up with a backache. but the staff were friendly and its nice and clean.
N. H.
Nice hotel with clean rooms slightly on the small side but comfortable and functional and have baths. Some rooms have views of city airport runway which is a short walk away. Not much places to eat around and weak internet signal in the room. Ideally located for excel and city airport.
B. L.
Actually quite nice compared to the other hotels near ExCeL. Had an absolutely lovely view of the river and my room was very comfortable. The room service is quite limited and the bed is a fraction too hard.
T. M.
Very spacious for a doubletree hotel. The room for had on the cruise hits floor and as really spacious. The location was great for the excel and the tube. We usually stay at a nearby hotel but due to the huge price difference decided to take a risk with this hotel.
D. V. N.
Friendly welcome with a free cookie, the room was big and comfy, especially the beds. The bar offered a wide variety of drinks for a good price. The traditional London breakfast was extensive and tasty. The WiFi was very good.
S. B.
Well, the rooms are nice but pretty small. They have some delicious gooey chocolate chip cookies when you check in though.
Also, parking is a bit of a pain (they run out of free spots) but what do you expect, it's Europe.
F. A.
First of all I would like to say the staff were very nice and room always clean. There was nothing standout about this hotel that would make it a 4*. The room was average nothing spectacular. The location is a little far out. There were no amenities near by. When staying somewhere during the summer you want the luxury of going out in the evening and being close to a nightlife. I found the location a little out. The windows let in the noise of the nearby aeroplanes. To visit London and it's sights next time I would look for a more central location.
There was a nearby station. The Prince Regent is about 3/4 minutes away. There was ample paying parking next to the side of the hotel that belongs to the Excel centre. I can't remember the prices. If your lucky enough you might be able to get free parking at the front of the hotel. Be careful thoigh if you move your car you lose your place. As we did when going out to get a bite to eat. Nothing on the menu was interesting. Would also have have cost an arm and a leg for 3 people. The hotel was fairly cheap to book. Don't pay more than £110 per night. The breakfast was ok. Could do with offering cakes and biscuits with the tea. The staff at breakfast time were nice. 5* staff 3* hotel.
L. L.
It fulfills the standard requirements for a hotel, a good bed, bathroom, excellent TV service, functioning wifi. The food in the restaurant has few options but good enough. Location is kinda bad unless you're going to the convention: takes long time to reach the central. Service is good and helpful. However during my stay I heard a tinnitus similar sound that I had to put a pillow on my head to not hear.
G. h.
I had a comfortable stay. Check in was great! Front Desk staffs were very helpful.
Super hotel, clean room, great breakfast, friendly staff.
G. t. t. P. b. J. C.
Love this Hotel - pricey but perfect for London City and Business Meetings. Great breakfast here too, service for which was perfect and the support the staff give was exemplary. Not a great area but improving.
T. M.
There was a curved balcony to the suite but we were disappointed that the doors were locked, presumably for safety reasons. The service was a bit slow on the evening meal but nothing that would put you off. I found the hotel very close to the airport which was convenient for my trip. Suitable for most business travellers.
T. G.
The rooms are spacious and clean. Bathrooms are nice with soap etc provided. Shower has good pressure and no delay on the hot water. Bed is very comfy with both firm and soft pillows provided.
j. r.
So helpful and welcoming! The front of house staff were all excellent! The food is also of a very high standard, the only thing that let it down was the experience we had once back at the bar in the late evening. I found the two members of staff to be rude and unhelpful. The rest of the stay was that good that it won't stop me staying at a double tree again!!
R. L.
Good hotel with comfortable bed and great shower. I paid £100 a night but I hear it gets considerably more expensive when events are on at Excel. Can be a good place to stop if going to the O2 for a concert. You can take the gondola across the river and your there.
S. C.
A lovely hotel that has nice rooms, a great bar and restaurant and friendly and helpful staff. The only thing that stopped it getting a 5 is that there were some maintainence issues such as only one working lift in a key part of the hotel and a huge crack on the glass in our bedroom window. That aside, the real star here is the food. You have good selection and can order restaurant food in the bar as well which further increases your choice. The prices are between £10-20 for a main course depending on your choice. This might sound costly but when you consider that the club sandwich or a pizza is big enough for the average couple to share, then the prices, especially for London, are fair. I rarely say this, my complinents to the chefs. Be warned though during peak times the wait can be lengthy. The breakfast is also pricey when bought as an add on but the choice is good and the food is once again nice. I would definately stay here again and would encourage others to consider it also.
T. M.
What an excellent place to stay to do London from a different direction rather than just going straight to Victoria & using the tubes. Our room rate included breakfast which was lovely and a good choice. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the DLR station Prince Regent, which brings you straight into town.
G. M.
Clean. Convenient. Friendly staff. Breakfast was top class - full cooked options including black pudding. So good in fact that I went so hard on the bacon, sausage and black pudding that I had no room left for breakfast dessert. My own fault clearly, but you live and learn. I'd avoid the bar, I paid £23 for two double gin and tonics! That left a bitter taste. Metaphorically I mean, the tonic is supposed to be bitter.
M.
Stayed here when it was still a Ramada & also when it became a double tree.. Good experience on each stay and good brekkie too
S. K.
Friendly staff providing a great service value for money
M. D.
The service was great, the room was what I had hoped for and I will definitely use the hotel again in the future. They have also been great about the feedback I gave them after my visit.
W. P.
Food was really nice. The welcome at reception was perfect. Hpwever, the aor condiotioning is the noisiest I've ever heard in a hotel. Slept really badly as the room was so hot and was impossible to change temperature. Had to call out help at 3 in the morning. Staff were trying to be helpful.
A. M.
Spent 4 nights here. Excellent hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Very clean with some fantastic views from our room on the 4th floor. 12 minutes walk from London City Airport and about 5 minutes to the DLR. We would definately go back.
C. C.
Great hotel, great location, great staff! What more can I say?
Don't miss the obligatory welcome cookie while you're here. With the Hilton quality of service guaranteed! Served by 2 DLR stations - Prince Regent and Royal Albert. Bus stop also at Prince Regent. So good connection to public transport
G. B.
Really enjoyed staying here. Nice hotel, good location etc but mainly it was the service - everyone from the front desk to the bar to the breakfast servers were lovely and went out of their way to make sure we were happy and give us little extras to make our stay that little bit more enjoyable.
D. N.
Nice hotel if you are at a event @ London Excel. The breakfast was delicious, the service OK. The room was spacious but with very small windows which you cannot open.
M. J.
3 nights stay was a banger, had all the necessities for a modern hotel chain, won't name them all, but things like an ironing board, a fine selection of twinings, etc.
Window view was pants because I was facing away from docks, so couldn't watch boats and planes and stuff, didn't mind that much though. By the way, the frequent aeroplanes at London City Airport were almost inaudible from my room, so I take my hat off to the insulation team when constructing this establishment. 👏
TV has a menu to view full hotel amenities, restaurant menu, and other details, which I thought was cool and prevents usage of trees printing those "welcome" booklets.
Bathroom was a good'n, but unfortunately is also one of the reasons of a lost star in my review. When you enter, on the side wall at eye level is a small circular mirror, which looked to have built in lights around the circumference. Excitedly, I pressed the switch on said mirror, and was not graced with its glorious illumination. This was extremely disappointing. Each morning I had to only guess how bad my complection truly was if under the correct circumstances (assuming 800 lumens+ ?)
The other reason was I couldn't open my windows, not even a little bit. It was very misleading as both windows had them opening handles, they must have been locked. Access to an outside draught is important for either cooling down purposes, or just simply some fresh oxygen flowing through the lungs.
Shower was awesome and obeyed my temperature commands fantastically via the adjustment knob.
All staff were spiffing. But a special shout-out to the evening restaurant staff, it was a busy weekend, they were stressed, but still dealt with everyone individually with attention and care. 👌
As a whole, had a lovely 3 nights kip in this Hilton, I recommend.
d. a.
Really good hotel located just a short, pleasant walk along the waterfront from the ExCEL exhibition centre. It's well serviced with a good bar and decent restaurant. I try to stay here when I am at exhibitions as the rates can be reasonable if you plan in advance.
Hotel is service by the DLR and you can get off at either of the closest stops as the walk isn't too bad from either and if it's a nice day, thewalk along the Thames can be a joy in itself.
Downside is that there isn't much to do or places to go nearby and if you don'twant to eat in the hotel, then it's a brisk walk to the nearest decent restaurant, although there are places that will deliver and in my experience, Hilton's are always ok with getting food in from the outside. Good place, recommended.
T. M.
Good location close to the Excel & DLR. Near to the airport but we neither saw nor heard a plane. Received upgrade to my room as gold hhonors member and enjoyed tasty cookies on check in. Maid service was excellent. Unfortunately the bed was really squeaky and every time I rolled over I was awoken by the noise of the bed.
D. W.
This should have been 5 but they claimed they couldn't find my keys as the cleaned the room. Only, I then found them as soon as I returned within 2 seconds and they had not cleaned the room. Apart from this, the hotel was excellent but I can't give them 5 stars.
S. M.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed. Recently refurbished rooms have good furniture, the bathrooms weren't touched sadly - still the weakness of the place. That said, my go to hotel in London.
T. M.
Hotel is conveniently located for commuters and you are not restricted in terms of what time you can comfortably get back to the hotel. Great views over the water. I enjoyed running on it and seeing the sights very much. Very close by to Prince Regent tube station via the DLR.
R. M.
Perfect hotel for me and partner. Staff were helpful and kind. Breakfast was very nice and is practically on the doorstep of the ExCel which we needed
P. S.
Excellent overall experience!
This hotel in east London really showed it charm with the excellent pre booking communications, check in process, restaurant & bar on site, and great room.
We stayed 4 days and found this place just exceeded my expectations.
It is a bit out of the way to stay in London (Zone 3 tube stop), but when you have a rental car, you look for places that:
1. Offer free guest parking
2. Easy close access to the Underground (Tube) via DLR overground
3. Avoid the congestion fee staying in Zone 1 London central.
I loved this hotel because they even held a parking space for me on the day of arrival.
Even though we were late, they still held the parking spot!
The front desk staff is super friendly and very professional. They genuinely made you feel welcome and helped with currency conversion when we first got there.
The restaurant and bar are excellent - food is top notch, fresh and served with waitstaff who are willing to go the extra mile.
Rooms are beautiful, clean and very quiet. Did not even hear one plane.
Location is perfect if you are travelling into central London as well as attending events at the Excel Centre or O2 arena.
There are some nearby restaurants within a mile (near the Royal Victoria DLR).
What a lovely place to stay and I would definitely return again!
D. E.
This hotel features a decent restaurant with a small but excellent wine selection. It is located a few feet away from the exCel London convention centre, which hosts major events throughout the year. The surrounding area is rather drab and unattractive, but the property is nice.
A. A.
We arrived in London goes earlier than our check in but we parked at the hotel and were allowed to check in because there was a room free. The hotel was great, staff were friendly and the breakfast was quick and tasty. Would go back.
J. B.
Friendly staff, good room service menu, lovely room and very clean.
Z. R.
Breakfast was splendid, so much choice and super tasty. Free parking area was too small. Room size was good, staff pleasant and
overall a nice place to stay. Definitely be back.
n. s.
Hotel is nice, staff friendly, rooms are decent size. It's just a bit too far out for seeing the sights. Fine if going to the excel or o2, but a real pain for central London.
K. D.
Nice hotel, good breakfast options. About a 10 minute walk from the dlr which is fine in the daytime but can be quiet around there at night so stay safe.
M. J.
Thank you to the wonderful team at Double Tree Excel for looking after us superbly. They allowed us to check in early with a simple room move, left cake as it was my other Half's birthday and made sure we had all the instructions we needed to get to and from the O2 in time for the tennis.
C. K. o. D.
Overall a very nice hotel. The only problem is that it takes a good 20 to 25 minutes ti get to central London. I also recommend using Royal Albert DLR Station and not Prince Regent, as there are no sidewalks to the later, and it only takes a maximum of 2 minutes longer.
P.S. The planes wont bother you
M. G.
The restaurant at the doubletree is fine. Better than others in the area. The menu had a good selection of meals the prices were mid range with a few lower cost options. About the only thing that could be marked down was the fact the waiting staff left us without taking a drinks order for ten minutes.
J. B.
We used the bar for a larger work do. Food was quite expensive for what it was, but alright. Drinks were great, consumed several types of cocktails. Service was slow at times but well trained. Enjoyed our time there.
M. T.
Really lovely place to stay for events at the excel. The staff were great. Though food and drink were rather pricey. Upon check out the person doing the check outs was rather slow so there was quite a queue to leave.
M. W.
Great place to stay on business. Working out of Canary Wharf for the week, and have to pick from a pre determined Hogg Robinson list of hotels. Originally picked the Travelodge Docklands, but with it being summer, and the lack of air-conditioning, wifi or from service, I moved here the next day. Once I arrived, realised I stayed here privately last year when it was a Ramada. Staff are lovely, nothing is too much, and happy to chat. Free shuttle to the office for my employer which is handy. Room service and the restaurant were rather good, highlight being the steak which was the best I've eaten in a hotel in years, but avoid the chicken tikka masala, which was tasteless, had overcooked chicken, a soggy naan and cold rice!
Breakfast is lovely, kept will stocked, and never struggled for a seat even at what are typically challenging times.
If you're working on the Wharf or need a place to stay near the airport (which is another point to mention, the sound proofing is that good you can barely hear the planes over the gentle hum of the aircon) you'd do well to pick this place.
n.
Rooms are great.
Service 2*
Food is terrible, avoid it!
K. K.
Very clean and comfortable. Gentle staff. But had a lot of bad dreams about being in other hotels and staff losing my car. Weird. Didn't even bring my car.
J. A.
Why a 4? Because 5 out of 6 lifts not working due to mainenance and we were on 5th floor... rant over.
Everything else just fine, from front desk reception to the bar staff and even cleaning crew.
Lots of parking (free) which was great.

Fairly good facility in a quite peaceful location. Quite satisfactory except some staff serving breakfast. There obviously were some very kind staff and looked professional but most of them seemed to mess around everything they do especially when they clean other tables. It was very noisy and distracting, so disappointing, which should be very much improved.

Awesome front office staff, English breakfast great. Just be aware parking is only free from 1730 to 0930. You can't prepay. Also, be sure to ask for a room opposite of metro tracks.

Great place, staff friendly and helpful. Good room service, nice food. Prices on par for London best hotel I have stopped in so far in London. A big thanks to all the staff.

Spent a few nights with the Mrs at this hotel. Beyond everything the service from staff was impeccable.
Nothing short of beautiful in regards to the room we had

Staff are helpful and efficient, the guests are generally quiet, the rooms are of great quality with many amenities provided. Restaurant is a little expensive but the food is good, especially breakfast. The hotel is close to the ExCeL with adequate parking for guests.

Decent hotel, great location and fantastic staff. Room was very well appointed and we got a South-facing room which was nice.

Good location right next to Excel, but also good for access to DLR - Prince Regent station is about 400yds away. Room was fine, but didn't have a fridge which I've come to expect from Hiltons. Menu and food was good. Room wasn't as clean as it should be - jellie babies left under my son's sofa bed which a younger child could have eaten - what if they were tablets? Overall happy just a few things let it down.

Always stayed here would recommend this Hilton doubletree to anyone thinking of staying near excel nice and discreet

Good room, comfy ish bed, my mother's bed was too hard and because we got a complimentary dinner! View was lovely, just of the river, and the food was, a bit slow at time, still lovely.

Location is only great if you are visiting excel otherwise it's out of the way but...great hotel with staff that upgraded me to a suite without saying anything, free drinks voucher and a great breakfast with good service. Recommended highly.

if arriving on foot get off the DLR at prince regent station. walk through the outside part of the excel building to a car park lift.
receptionist was lovely and her chocolate cookie, the room was for hilton members and was to a high standard.
breakfast very nice, bar expensive but I rate it all 5 star.

Excellent customer service, upgraded our room for my girlfriends birthday which was much appreciated and were very helpful. Room itself was spotless and contained everything needed for a painless stay.

Ok but not great, was expecting much more.
There was no hot water in the shower, it was snowing outside and the heating wasn't hot at all.
Parking was terrible even on a subday and to top it off there was only 21 channels on the tv!
Not sure I'd visit again, I do hope they improve on this feed back tho .

Good location, a short walk from excel and DLR. Great bed and nice size room. Aircon is a little noisy and IPTV system lacks all the free view channels and has no TV guide.

Great for access to the ExCel centre. The staff were great and the hotel was too. Very modern rooms with great food at the restaurant. Everyone there was very professional

Spacious and comfy rooms, great condition, polite staff, nice bar, plenty of choice at breakfast. If you can get a deal on this hotel for a London trip you won't be disappointed.

Lovely stay...could not hear planes and trains that were nearby..great breakfast and very friendly receptionists and the young man who was training in the restaurant who went out of his way to get decaf tea bags.

Awesome customer service.
Rooms are great! Restaurant food is scrumptious and filling with good service.
The waiter doesn't even need to write down your order! #EpicMemory

We had a great stay here, free parking which is quite rare in London, fabulous breakfast with every option under the sun and the rooms had good soundproofing.
