Friendly and attentive staff. They really made the visit for us and we're really helpful and kind.
Definitely get the breakfast included if you stay here, it's a continental breakfast and the number of options are amazing! The on-site restaurant (Natural Kitchen) is great too and the food was truly excellent. Nice selection of cocktails and they do happy hour!
Don't forget your own toiletries, the standard hotel provided ones are not good but the bathroom was clean and the shower easy to use. We stayed in a standard queen room and the room was clean but nothing particularly exciting about it. The television channels were very limited and I couldn't connect my phone (I have a Google pixel). There was an iron, kettle and hairdryer in the room (hairdryer is not good, would recommend taking your own if you have space in your luggage). Beds are comfy but very firm so be mindful if you like a squishier mattress. There was a nice selection of tea and coffee available in the room on arrival and water bottles had been provided too.
There aren't any stairs unless you use the fire exit so waiting for the lifts was sometimes a bit lengthy but lots of people shared lifts with face masks on so it wasn't a problem.
Overall, a very nice hotel located really conveniently near Tower Hill underground station. Lots of food and drink options nearby and easy to grab a taxi from there to larger stations. Great view of the Tower of London too.

Initially had an issue with checkout but then, I had the great luck of running into Lee Mills at the counter before I departed. In high tourist areas, some hotels tend to brush off guest issues because of high foot traffic but Mr. Mills was an attentive listener and he was able to resolve my issue in a mutually calm and respectful manner. I chose this location for its price and location. Great value and the breakfast was great. I would recommend it. Extremely close to major train lines that can take you inside and out of the city. I'm also a fan of the robes that are included in the room and the cookies upon entry. One of my favorite snacks. I've been around the world and I can recommend this hotel for any type of traveler. Hopefully you run into Lee Mills.

We use this hotel quite a bit. It is a good location, next to Tower Hill, Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Savage Gardens rooftop bar gives good views of iconic London, a good way to end a day in London. Hotel coped well with covid and restrictions. Plenty of places close by to eat and drink. Will use again without doubt.

The Hotel is located in the heart of the City; about 5 minutes walk from Tower Hill underground station the hotel is definitely up to the standard I have come to expect from Hilton.
I was greeted as a diamond member and received a warm welcome at reception for check in. Despite the fact the hotel was extremely busy they were most helpful, and made to feel a really appreciated as a valued guest.
I received a room upgrade to an exquisite suite with excellent views of Tower Bridge.
The suite was beautifully appointed, with a spacious and comfortable lounge, and was fully equipped with A/C, TV, refrigerator and a Kettle for tea & coffee. The bathroom had both bath & shower and the little touches such as bath robes, and luxury toiletries made me feel very much at home. The bedroom was nicely furnished with its own TV and the bed extremely comfortable.
As a Diamond member I had access to the executive lounge, which is open throughout the day for soft drinks tea and coffee and between 6pm to 8pm for alcoholic drinks and canapés. Susanna makes sure everything is perfect, and the most wonderful hostess even at the busiest of times. Breakfast is a buffet service with hot and cold food, coffee at breakfast was excellent. The wifi in my room was good and quite fast. All the staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive, and certainly go the extra mile to make guests welcome and feel at home, Jordan at the concierge went the extra mile to assist me.
The Hotels location is excellent for most of London’s tourist attractions and certainly offers excellent value for money.

Ideal location, very close to the Tower Hill underground and famous landmarks. Good breakfast with lots of choice and you didn't feel rushed.
Service varied though, some staff were very helpful and attentive while others were not helpful at all. Also some of the services weren't what we expected from a high-end hotel... we were told that room service wasn't available even though it said online it was 24-hour, the ice machines weren't working and check in took nearly 30 mins.
Might stay again if we were visiting the area again but would also consider cheaper hotels.

I stayed here for a week and I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the fact that on 2 occasions they did not replenish the coffee and they only left decaf. The executive lounge is nice with a good selection of wine however there is only Budweiser on tap so a better selection would also be nice. But overall very nice. Breakfast is also good.
P. B.
Decent doubletree. Executive rooms on top two floors, try to get one with a view of Tower of London, 1048 is my favourite room.
Lounge is small and a little depressing but there's a really good selection of wine and beer on draft.
P. N.
Nice enough place, ideally placed for the tower of London and other city landmarks. The only problem was that the bed was way too hard, almost solid, which made sleep difficult. We were given a discount when management were informed but I'd rather have a good night's sleep.
It was a shame, as when I think about the hotel, the first thing I remember is the hard bed.

Friendly staff, good location for financial centre and Tower of London area tourist attractions. 2 minute walk around the corner to District line.
Knocking a star off as rooms feel cheap considering the price.

Lovely very clean rooms and we really appreciated the amenities such as fridge and iron & ironing board. TV was great and you could cast your phone to the screen for netflix etc. We had a couple of issues with the lifts but nothing too major was just inconvenient.

The hotel is very well placed near the Tower of London. It is very clean, the service is very good and efficient. Breakfast is a buffet with a large variety of choices. Especially good was the checkout service which is FastTrack if you choose to take that option. All in all I would recommend the hotel as a place to stay.

Staff were great, and we upgraded to a king suite. The room (917) had an obstructed view of the Gurkin with offices in the foreground. There was a large amount of green algae like growth on the outside on the window which was unpleasant. The door of the shower enclosure was dirty at the bottom. There was a hanger missing off the wall, however the fixtures were still there. Unfortunately there was a dog one room down from us that persisted to bark all day on 10.02.22, which was extremely frustrating. Breakfast and executive lounge access was very nice.

Nice hotel, restaurant was great for evening meal. Used the sky bar and lounge but the executive lounge was too packed. I think the only thing I would have picked up was Covid. So left and went to another lounge. Rooms are nice but basic. Close to city/tower bridge/tower of London obviously.

I am currently at the Hotel. Well the staff are great and the main floor and other facilities are modern and nice. What is need is need on the room floors is a renovation carpets are stained and smell. Rooms are sized small. I was put on executive floor as a gold member told its a great room when I got there I had a wall outside my window 10 feet away. They moved me to another room on other floor with street view. Thank you front desk staff. Still waiting for my room up grade I requested I am staying 3 weeks. Should get something right?
L.
Rooms not ready and it was a 6pm check in. No teaspoons in room for making tea. Asked barman to make a hot chocolate who started to make it with skimmed milk, asked politely if he could swap it to full milk and he tutted., one of the cups of chocolate was very short of a proper drink serving ,.
Sadly the final straw was asking if a taxi could be called/ booked for us as timing tight to get where we were going for evening , to be told there are always taxis outside. Fair comment except x 8 other couples waiting so we were an hour late for our evening booking, which was upsetting. Not the level of service I expect for a 4* hotel. Whilst I accept this is ‘ window dressing’ a 4* hotel should be above these basic errors.
D. F.
Room was a bit tired looking. Stain on the carpet hidden by the bed. Apart from that room was OK. View from the room was uninspiring just the back of buildings. Overall location of the hotel was great. Breakfast was good lots of options.

Excellent service, friendly staff, beautiful and clean amenities, comfortable room… I had a great stay there. Big hotel but personal care. It was my birthday that week and I found a lovely card on my desk when I got in the room. The elevators are always packed. It takes a while to go up and down there.

1st time at this hotel and I was really impressed. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Room was spotless with such a nice view. I will be visiting again soon
M. S.
Nice, clean, modern hotel. Great location. Rooms are comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was the breakfast. It's a buffet style with lots of choice but the eggs were cold. Hopefully this was a blip. I would stay here again.
M.
Stayed here for my birthday and had the most amazing time, I was upgraded to executive suite, which meant I was able to enjoy free drinks and canapés with friends for a couple of hours. It truly did make my night. The breakfast was also very impressive compared to other doubletrees. Will be attending again.

We had a dual-twin room. The beds were essentially rollaway beds, and about as comfortable as that (they were literally on rollers, and rolled easily when trying to get into bed). The pillows were flat as pancakes, though we did get some better ones when we asked at the front desk (we tried calling the careline several times, but it was never answered). The only food options were the breakfast restaurant (only open until 10:30 AM) and the front bar. The food at the front bar was TERRIBLE, and the hours seemed inconsistent. Housekeeping was inconsistent - sometimes they showed up as early as 9:30 AM, others we were gone all day only to find the rooms had not been tidied. There was no laundry service, which had not been communicated either at booking or at check-in. Overall, I would expect much more from a hotel that is supposedly 4-stars. I would call this a 3-star hotel at best. I've stayed in Best Westerns that were more comfortable, to be honest. I will say that the front desk staff were all responsive, friendly, and helpful. There is also a nice sized TV in the room, with Bluetooth connectivity, so you can screen share from your phone or laptop, and stream your own movies.

We were very happy with our stay. The location and rooftops bar is unbelievable. The staff, Irina at the front desk was awesome. The hostesses at the breakfast were wonderful and very accommodating . They remembered us every day!! They all made our trip from Chicago to Pepys dinner. Wonderful.

Great location. Poor service.
We were looking forward to our stay. The hotel has a great location. Staff are polite, helpful when engaged. However I have had to exhaust a lot of energy to get my room cleaned and refreshed. And promises made by staff are not kept.
For example, staff asked to clean our room at an inconvenient time, and reassured us they would return an hour later, only for our room to be in the same state we left it.
I do not think this is intentional, but I think management need to reflect on how the service can be improved without customers needing to exhaust so much time or energy for the most basic service of any hotel. Also improved recall systems to ensure staff don't forget to refresh rooms.
Otherwise its a good location, with friendly and helpful staff. They need to tighten up on some of their processes to ensure a smooth service
I have stayed in numerous hotels, I would say my service experience has been poor in contrast to other hotel stays.
Otherwise I would have given 4 stars in the absence of suboptimal service.
A. S.
Good hotel to stay near tower bridge. I did not get dental kit and water bottles in the room, may be I have to ask for it. Rooms are neat and clean.
J. W.
Very nice breakfast, and an even nicer staff! Overall really wonderful staff members - one of the receptionists spent over an hour looking for a package that had arrived for me, even though it wasn't her responsibility at all! Extra things like that really make this a wonderful place to stay, I highly recommend!
B. B.
Clean and comfortable, drinks ridiculously expensive in rooftop bar especially as views are better at the sky garden 5 minutes walk away and that is free. Nice location Reception very slow and seem to make mountain out of every single task Premier Inn have better customer service arrangements
D. B.
Stayed for one night for theatre night out ..nice smart hotel in good location area to fenchurch st station .
Rooms quite bland ,soleless , and business like for the money but comfortable for one night .
No access to lovely roof bar advertisied unless a pre booked table ,shame, very elitest as dictated by the motionless male hotel steward in pigeon English guarding the only lift up to roof with Guestlist .
Foyer bar area nice but quite chaotic behind the bar area to order a drink .
Very cramed with young loud people , coming in to use a bar , no masks or distancing practiced there or in most of hotel .
Breakfast was average for the Hilton, had much better elsewhere with more choice, but adequate , would try other hotels in area next time .
A. A.
Good breakfast.
Friendly & helpful staff
Clean rooms .
Comfortable bed .
WiFi coverage is good.
Location wise it's good also. Scenery from rooftop bar is very nice.
D. C.
Very good location and excellent staff. Savage Garden, the rooftop bar is a total rip off and only takes cards where all drinks include a 12.5% service charge. Avoid it like the plague.

Friendly staff, good location for financial centre and Tower of London area tourist attractions. 2 minute walk around the corner to District line.
Knocking a star off as rooms feel cheap considering the price.

Absolutely loved it, by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in, luxury at its finest, Every part of the room was clean and sanitised as expected and staff were very helpful and on hand for anything I needed, would definitely stay again
C. O.
Rooms are a bit dated, overall hotel could do with a revamp. Also, who still charges for wifi? Come on guys it's 2021!
Reception staff openly complained about mgmt in front of customers. Screaming kids in front bar after 9pm. Location was good.
H. W.
Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Communal areas kept clean. The only criticism was that the hotel wasn't serving food so be aware if you were expecting to dine in on your stay. There is a restaurant connected to the hotel but plenty of restaurants near by. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
G. L.
What fabulously warm, friendly and helpful staff you have in this hotel. Coupled with the great location, we loved every minute of our stay..and WILL be back. Thank you.
k. a. A.
Amazing place! Clean very friendly staff and a good breakfast! Only problem was our room was loud from people partying but all in all nice hotel.
R. H.
Lovely, warm hotel with helpful and friendly staff who are eager to make you feel special. Big thank you to Henry in reception, whom thought I looked lonely waiting for friends and appeared before me with a cookie! Give that man a raise for his observation skills and kind heart!
A. J.
Lovely clean room and the hotel is really nice. The staff are really friendly and great drinks at the hotel bar. Only thing that stopped me giving this place five stars was one of the staff rudely coming in when I was getting dressed despite me telling her I was doing so after she knocked so please can she wait a minute. But for the most part it is a great hotel otherwise and I would definitely stay here again if I was in London.
C. M.
First class stay and location. We would definitely go again on our next London trip. Don't use the ATM at the lifts though. Was doing what every other ATM in the world does til it didn't. No cash from the machine but it was taken from my bank account. NOT the Hotels fault but the fault of the ATM company. Otherwise first class stay.

Pro's
•Great location 2 min from Tower Hill underground station
•Nice friendly staff with good service
•Room ok size for two .
•Nice bar area in reception
Con's
•In need of a refurb. Furniture worn and scruffy in reception bar area.Room carpet was a bit dirty.
Noisy aircon in room

Fantastic stay. The rooms were brilliant but I have to say, Savage Garden (the hotel bar) is an absolute gem in the City. Great views, great cocktails. Will definitely return.
A. B.
My hotel room is was a little bit dated and the shower pipe leaked when the shower was on. I was offered another room when I reported this, but there were no replacement rooms immediately available, so I stayed another night with the room I had. The staff were very nice and friendly, and the location is perfect for anyone travelling to the City of London.
T. S.
Lovely hotel for events. Food was lovely for lunch and tea breaks. Wish more of my events are held here.
Staff were spot on and very welcoming.
Atmosphere was lovely as you can view their green wall which is a nice backdrop and view from 1st floor.
H. C.
We were sat in the Lobby Bar (Number 7) and a brilliant bar tender called Rahul offered the most amazing customer service!!! Very friendly and chatty, took so much time over making the drinks and showed a genuine interest. The cocktials are also INCREDIBLE.
Overall all staff have been brilliant, but espeically Rahul!
C. B.
Nice and clean. Bed OK, bit uncomfortable but managed to sleep. Bathroom and bedrooms clean and tidy. Tea and coffee facilities in the room along with some complimentary toiletries.
Great location near Tower of London and great transport links.
For the price, would have expected a bit more from the hotel if I am honest.
We couldn't get up to the roof terrace to look out as you needed a booking... Would know this again for future reference :) overall pleasant stay.
C. L.
A it older. Room was not as clean as I would think k from covid, had to ask the staff to clean the air vent in the bathroom (plugged with mold), walls clearly marked up in room. Bed a bit... stiff. But it's quiet, and the free breakfast served in the AM is very good. Staff very friendly (and got on issues I reported very quick)
A. W.
The hotel is situated in a very convenient location. A couple of minutes from Tower Hill Station which gives you access to the circle and district lines. We had breakfast included and it was buffet style with an excellent range of choices. Hot, cold, cereals, pastries, fruit , yohurt , toast etc. Also a coffee machine if you want to grab something and go. Rooms are well appointed with all the amenities including tea making and bathroom toiletries. The in room safe is always a bonus.
We were on the 8th floor and the lifts were quick with no delays during our stay. All staff were professional and friendly.
D.
The location was great. And they had staff 24/7 to help.
M. R.
It was extremely busy during covid, no one wore masks, no safety protocols in place for covid, they gave my room away because I got their late due to new covid restrictions and having to get a test before going.
K. E.
Our first trip to London has just started and has been nothing but the best so far and we owe a lot of that to the staff at the bar in the lobby. They have fast service and an even more amazing staff! They let us know great places to go in London as first timers! Thank you to the three men who served us!!!
J. H.
God knows why it’s under Hilton, it’s like saying primark by Ralph Lauren. Carpets stained in hallway, walls showing signs of damp in hallways and in main lobby area.no usb charging points anywhere in the rooms. The bedroom has nothing different to a premier inn. And in my room tv randomly turns itself off, sometimes after 30 mins sometimes after 1 minute. No one answering phones to report and when I told them as we were going out they said no maintenance here now so could change your room.we were dressed up for a night out!, that’s why we tried ringing to report earlier!,no room service due to covid?lifts were 10mm the cue, so bad that we were gonna walk to 5th floor but there are no stairs to walk up!the only thing good is the location but if this were a premier inn here it would be better

Aside from getting stuck in a lift (not for long!) This was a really trip. My Mum was in a wheelchair and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and supportive, taking us to the staff lift, or providing a chair for moments when she was waiting around on her crutches. Breakfast great, loved the pancake machine and a good choice of quality food. Room nice, bed comfy. Telly wasn't great quality (blurry screen) but I'm being VERY picky there as you don't go to a hotel to watch telly. Nice touch with the biscuit on arrival and in the rooms. Roof top bar also good but cocktails all a bit eclectic for my taste.
T. S.
meh ok hotel. Abit worse than I expected. Got a room with a really strange arrangement facing the courtyard side. Maybe it’s just the architect’s side of me being very picky, but the room was pretty horrible. Dirty corners and carpet as well. Waited for 30mins with a horrible queue when we were checking in.
S. S. (.
It's OK. Not the nicest Hilton in London but the rooftop bar is great and it's well located. Not having room service operating during my stay was a big flaw.
J. M.
Unable to attend to due COVID.
Contacted hotel five times and on hold for an hour each time.
No call back, no return of email and charged full rate.
Would welcome a call back and a refund!
T. L.
Wonderfully situated location, very close to Tower Hill tube station and the park. Comfy rooms with good views and access to the very cool roof large top bar and the small gym. Wonderful breakfast and very cool digital room key. The hotel bar is a beautiful space and has a good range of drinks.
J. D.
In all honesty, the location was fantastic, the views from savage garden were awesome, the assistance from staff made the stay worth while. The stay itself was substandard but the overall feeling towards the staff would be 5 stars.
My room however, was not in the best condition, which was unexpected as I have stayed in numerous hiltons and double tree hiltons around the country and always found them to be to my liking. After contacting to discuss my dissatisfaction, Mary and her team went above and beyond to remedy the situation.
Thank you for the speedy resolution.
J. G.
Staff friendly and relaxing atmosphere. If you want veggie sausages for breakfast ask when first arriving as they are cooked to order
R. N.
Position is great, but the rooms are lacking any imagination. Plus as a resident we still had to book for a table in the roof top bar unless we waited for a free table. Breakfast was good and overall the hotel is worth it for the potion alone.
D. J.
This is an incredible hotel in a convenient, central location. The rooftop bar Savage Garden was a hit, will definitely go again! The only issues - check-in was unusually slow (about 20 mins) and so was queuing for breakfast.
a. p.
Brilliantly situated Hotel, very friendly staff. Nice room too, lovely decor. The breakfast was delicious and a great array of options.
H. M.
Room was left open all day by the cleaning staff on our second day. Night manager was not very helpful nor were the day manager. Neither came across as sincere.
We also had to move rooms due to a faulty light in the shower unit which could have caused either an electrical fire or electrocuted me whilst using the shower.
Not a pleasent or enjoyable stay at all.
S. H.
Nice hotel. Natural Kitchen restaurant has lovely menu. 12th floor Skybar is amazing. Breakfast choice is fantastic too and delicious. Only downside is there's just not enough lifts for size of hotel. Especially when 1 of them is a priority lift for the skybar in evening. We often had to queue for the lift and on the day we left there was a very long queue on ground floor. I would have used stairs but other than the fire escapes, there are no staircases to use.
A. S.
Very close to Tower Hill Tube. Exceptionally busy at check in desk. Was quite annoying as the check it then took a good 30 to 45 minutes. Was a shame as this put a bit of a downer on the experience. Rooms were quite compact. Bar was reasonably priced. The views from the Savage garden however were breathtaking. Staff were exceptionally helpful.
Not sure about visiting again. Will.have to see.
J. L.
Lobby and the room were lovely staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the floor we stayed on had a very musky smell and paper towels dumped in wads on the carpet to absorb something, also the carpet was very stained. Not quiet what you expect from a Hilton Hotel.
S. G.
My and my other half want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Doubletree, me and my girlfriend came down for the weekend for our anniversary and we couldn't be happier either our stay, the people there as so nice it's unreal, nothing was too much hassle for them and for the whole weekend me and my girlfriend felt like royalty, the breakfast is amazing, the cleanliness top notch, the service impeccable, I really can't describe to you, how amazing this hotel is, it just needs to be seen, thank you so much everyone at Doubletree, we can't wait to come back
P.
My Husband called to cancel this hotel , which the receptionist said was fully refundable however the hotel still took the money from our credit card. I then struggled to get through to the hotel calling them with no answer. We had to call Hilton central reservations and open a claim - Totally waisting our time. As a Silver card holder I will not be using Hilton again and report it to my credit card company.

Decor needs some serious TLC. Paint was chipped and broken, skirting board coming away from wall. Scuffs and scrapes everywhere.
King bed made up of two divans, can you call it a king bed when the two halves move away from each other in the night? Extremely stiff and uncomfortable mattress. Slept for about 3 hours.
Room was hot and although we had the AC on the lowest setting it didn't do much.
The room was not very clean, considering the constant messages around the place to reassure you of its cleanliness including patches on the carpet, scuffs and finger prints on mirrors, fluids on tiles in the bathroom and hairs and bits found in bedding.
The bathroom vent didn't seem to be working so the bathroom was full of condensation as soon as the shower was used once and didn't dry out at all. Mould on the ceiling.
The mini fridge stank! An absolutely horrendous smell as soon as you opened it.
The ice bucket had mouldy tongs so i had to clean it out before using it. There was no ice machine so we were told to go to the lobby bar for ice but it wasn't open until later that evening.
There was a lot of airborne dust and something that set off an allergic reaction as our eyes became very itchy in the night.
Be prepared to queue for a lift to your room due to two of the lifts being dedicated to the rooftop bar after a certain time. Never in my life have I, as a paying guest at a hotel, had to queue for a lift to get to my room because the hotel is prioritising drunk people getting to a bar. What a shambles.
No room service was available.
Ultimately we paid hilton hotel prices for a poor bed and breakfast.

Stayed here for my first trip to London. There were conferences ongoing so the hotel was fairly busy. We were on the 5th floor and our room was spacious and no complaints. The checkin queue could be very long at times, but the staff were friendly, direct, and as efficient as possible with a crowd. They stored our luggage, retrieved our packages, and were pleasant despite being busy. We did not have a free breakfast, so did not eat in the hotel which worked out well as the queues were long with conference attendees. We also did not have an opportunity to go to the rooftop bar/lounge. When we checked in, we asked for housekeeping to empty trash and replace towels every 2nd day (of 5) and this was done twice. We enjoyed the location being very close to Tower Hill and Aldgate. The price and location were good and I would stay here again.
S. M.
We loved it, we upgraded our room to include late checkout and use of the exec lounge. Staff were very friendly and Harry the concierge was really helpful and friendly 🙂

Great for working remotely:
- I worked remotely from the hotel room/lobby for 5 days, the wifi was excellent with no down time. I hosted video calls, social media, internet browsing, and multiple devices.
- Internet speed test at the time of writing review: 13 MBPS download, 22.5 MBPS upload speeds
- Our room had a desk, comfy chair, and multiple outlets
- Overall great experience, helpful staff, comfortable rooms
- Only downfall is that being in the business district most of the immediate shops and restaurants close at either 5pm, or 10pm. You will have to venture out further for real nightlife.
M. Y.
awful property, for the price I paid for 2 rooms I could have rented a beautiful 2 bed apartment for the night in the same location. The fixtured and furniture in the hotel rooms are worse than Ikea ones and I basically an extra £80 to upgrade the room to an executive suite which I learned was no different to a regular room and was left looking at a wall out of my window. weekend ruined by this low quality, high price room, the only good part was the service of the waiting staff at breakfast who are probably paid the least out of all the staff.
J. v.
The 4th floor corridor smells awful. Bathroom wasn't very clean grout needs a good scrub. Breakfast was ok but definitely not great. Despite having a photograph of eggs benedict on the website it wasn't available.
k. R.
Good location, good staff.(francesco, simona, henry) Stayed here for a night for my birthday, paid a little extra for executive room (1042) but worth it for the breakfast, use of executive lounge and good view of tower bridge. Restaurant/bar not open everyday so check first.
K. B.
This was a special holiday for us to celebrate the 50th birthday. The Staff was friendly, composed and polite. Lovely welcome. Our rooms were nice and clean, all amenities spot on. All Covid protocols were followed very well and we felt safe. Breakfast was great. We look forward to returning. Excellent time in the hotel

A Second stay.
Ideal location for tourists, close to The Tower of London. Tower Pier ,buses and underground for travel around London .
Good value for money.
Great breakfasts.
S. G.
Great stay at this Doubletree Hilton, Mary was very helpful, she rectified some issues very quickly. The bar is great and also be sure to check out the sky bar on the 12th floor, amazing view of London Bridge. Will Stay again.
M. S.
Would of gave 5 stars, the room was very stuffy especially the bathroom, the reason for this was the air con was set to a certain temperature, I tried telling reception they said the temp was set , I tried to cool down the room by opening the main door, no windows either, I need a cool room , so probably won’t stay again it’s a shame
c. c.
Overpriced. Other cheaper hotels in the area much better. Location ia the only advantage. Sevice shocking - customers not informed how hotel functions, fridge in the room was not working, problems watching Netflix (on original TV few useless programmes, was told - 'well if you can you can connect your laptop yourself, we cannot help). Coffee and tea very simple, small kettle in the room and some glasses. It has nothing of the luxury portrayed by the website. Worst hotel I have ever been to. Avoid at all cost.
J. B.
Great location. Lovely clean and Covid safe hotel. All staff were friendly. Had a great room after being upgraded to s suite which I'd recommend. Would happily stay here again.
C.
Very nice hotel. Clean well appointed rooms. Breakfast very nice and offered as best as can be under present circumstances. All the staff I met were so pleasant and very helpful. Nothing too much trouble for them. Thank you very much!

Large room, comfy bed, great rooftop bar. Hotel is only 5min or so walk from Aldgate tube and a 10-15min walk from spitlefields market. highly recommend.
d. h.
Check in was quick but they gave no information about facilties or breakfast. Room was basic and furniture looks tired. Bed was comfy. Room was dirty on arrival biscuit crumbs clearly on carpet. Despite asking for it to be cleaned and someonf trying again some crumbs remained. Breakfast was good if not fantastic. We booked the rooftop bar on 1 night only certain areas have a good view the drinks are overpriced and getting there took 15 minutes as you need to go to ground floor first which was nof explained. In general the lifts had a mind of their own. Overall the hotel was not up to standard for the price paid.
A. D.
Our stay was great great location rooms are ok! But do need checking before allocating our room had no kettle or tea plus table lamp had a smashed bulb still in the holder nice and clean though breakfast is standard fare but over priced as are the bar prices but saying that would stay again also yes check out is long winded
c. h.
Booked a hotel for my husband birthday treat/ stay in London. Central location, close to the station and tube. Hotel staff very polite and accomodating. A bit disappointed with room though, paid for Executive Kings size room, but it was much smaller to what I have expected.
s. w.
Amazing location, great value for money. This our 5th or 6th time staying here. Breakfast was on point. Staff are polite and care about your stay. We will definitely be returning here again. Thank you
N. H.
Staff were fantastic. Breakfast staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we wanted. Definitely my favourite place to stay in London!
S. Y.
Terrible. Dirty dirty dirty rooms. Cups with lipstick stains on them, makeup on the towels, nothing had been cleaned or changed, the bed had been made and there was no point because the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Worst hotel stay I’ve had, would not recommend! Paid for two nights, left after one.
A. H.
Very strange booking in having everyone queue up from 3pm. never experienced this before and created a lot of frustration with many guests.
The bar whilst good is also very slow to get a drink and at times there is a queue of 10 people and if you get a few ordering cocktails it takes forever.
Lifts are also a problem with heavy queuing and many people looking for stairs that no one could find. Many people including us frustrated by this too.
Breakfasts were good quality.
Rooms all ok.
Overall ok
S. S.
A really poor example of a Hilton, poor reception on arrival, room lacking basic maintenance (see cracked and holes in blackout blind in bedroom and atrium washroom images).
However, fantastic F&B staff including Abdul and others. There’s plenty of other options nearby in better shape and with more traditional hospitality.
A. M.
Kindest hotel staff and nice stay on the 10th floor. From my knowledge some of the other floors were not as updated if that is important to you.
M. H.
Average hotel in a good location but very pricey
Staff very friendly, rooms bang average and probably woudnt stay there again for the lack of value
Not what you expect from DoubleTree
L. P.
Great location, comfortable beds, and nice views. Warning: Be sure to ask for a luggage tag if you need to store your bags for any reason.
Y. A.
Very nicely situated hotel staff polite and we were checked in quite quickly. Room was adequate would stay again . Only gripes I have are the hotel needs some tlc in places and the roof top bar is not worth the money .
M. W.
room was OK,breakfast could have been better and hotter but most of all we were double charged for are 2 nights there with two different reasons why we were double charged
T. B.
Currently staying in this hotel on holiday. Real problem with house keeping. Warning signs when room wasn’t ready at check in. Had to repeatedly ask for fresh towels ,toilet paper etc.
Came to clean room after we had been out all day and I asked if they could come back in an hour. They didn’t.
E. l.
Comfortable rooms, and in a great location right by Tower Hill (Circle and District lines) and Tower Gateway (DLR) stations, less than 5 minutes walk from the Tower of London, meaning you can easily get to the Tower early whilst it's quiet. Food was of a high quality and the staff were all friendly and welcoming
R.
Nice hotel with amazing rooftop cocktail bar, but very busy on the weekends and understaffed. Not enough lifts so you have to wait for everyone to use them.
S. D.
We loved the welcome cookie 🍪
Room is a decent size and was also sanitised. Enjoyed the breakfast!
F. E.
Great clean and modern hotel in a great convenient location for the area and city. Great service. Decent breakfast. Will definitely return.
M.
Extremely nice staff. The location is great and the roof top is amazing. There's a little restaurant that serves drinks and happy hour.
A. H.
The Hotel was very nice situated in the busy Tower Bridge... The cookies upon arriva were amazing, yummy.. The drinks in the bar are very expensive.. The hospitality and service is very good, but they do need to clean the rooms more often.
S. E.
Very smart hotel, great location and welcoming atmosphere. Great views from the rooftop bar but need a bank loan to drink there!
o. k.
We chose this, based on years of great experiences at this hotel, as the venue to celebrate our son's 18th birthday. Sadly, this was the worst stay we have ever had here.
B. M.
Very nice place to stay. Reception team are very kind nice and helpful. Rooms are comfy.
N. S.
Air conditioning broke several times in our room, and the shower was leaking. We contacted reception and they were quick to try fix the issue. However unfortunately issue with the AC persisted and we had to move rooms. Thankfully the second room we had was perfect and had a great view and working AC.
Overall the hotel is good! However some rooms are definitely a bit hit or miss
p. k.
Location of the hotel was excellent for what we had planned over the weekend, the savage garden bar is definitely worth a visit but you need to book as tables are limited, it's a shame no room service was on, the executive lounge if you qualify is a bonus with canapés and drinks provided, would rebook and stay again but make sure to request a room with a bigger bed.
j. p.
Bad experience here my suit I paid for was given away then got downgrade to a small room! Service was absolutely shocking. Food was ok not the best all in all not the best for a first time visit to London and the hotel
F. E.
We enjoyed our stay, comfortable beds and lovely soft pillows, it was also very quiet in the rooms, we would definitely stay here again.
M. C.
Location was great (close to Tower Bridge, National Train Liverpool Station and also city centre). Room was a bit small, but fair enough for the price.
S. W.
Nice hotel, good location for the City of London, London East, friendly staff, good buffet breakfast. Room comfortable and mattress very comfortable too.
D. L.
Comfortable rooms, good facilities, great breakfast all in the perfect location to easily get around the city.
h.
Lovely hotel very clean comfortable beds good showers breakfast was very good my only complaint I booked this hotel for roof top bar for the view is amazing but when I got here was told u have to pre book on line to go up there I was fuming 😀 its also hired out for wedding meeting so on I did complaint a little so the lovely staff did manage to let me go up for a drink so keep in mind if it's the view your looking for when booking because you can't just go up there has you want
B. L.
Views were only really good if you were on the 10th floor. Be careful if you are booking to try the rooftop bar as it was closed for a conference when I was at the hotel and wasn't told when we booked.
J. M.
Was not as clean in the corridor as usual hoover sat there for best part of 2 days. Breakfast was lovely and great view from rooftop
K. C.
Terrible service, very dirty, avoid at all costs. The folks at the reception are hapless, young trainees who are completely inexperienced and lack supervision. They refused to issue an invoice after I paid and I now cannot get reimbursement from my company. Impossible to find an adult to sort problems out. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
L. C.
Very good location, very clean rooms. Colleague moved from dockland working at reception is very helpful.
N. G.
Disappointing. Poor service. Rooftop too noisy for my liking, Great if you like clubbing. WiFi not free in rooms
J. L.
lovely place to stay. Treat yourself to a cocktail or two! on the sky view terrace. Great views of the London skyline
H. F.
Great location, the staff were friendly and affordable! Also it was clean, and nice interior!
j. v.
Lovely hotel good location amazing staff. Well done to all of you. Cant wait to return.
F. P.
The hotel is in a great location and is kept very clean but the bed was as equally hard as the floor. We booked “King Executive” room and honestly wasn’t very executive.
If I was to stay here again I would genuinely want the price to lower..
D. K.
Toilet door did not close,Pillows so uncomfortable, drinks too expensive. We were there celebrating a special occasion our honeymoon not even a free bottle of water was offered to us even though hotel knew about it.The room had no view just surrounded by concrete blocks.
P. L.
Excellent location in the business Market area of London. The rooms are extremely clean and the reception service was first class.
L. R.
Had a lovely stay here close to tube staff friendly and helpful will come back
M.
Lovely hotel, beautiful setting. Room was pretty basic and not all towels were as clean as they should be. Shower mat was very dirty, couldn't use these.
Staff were very professional, polite and friendly.
R.
Lovely hotel. Lovely area. Stayed in Kind Exec room. Lounge is fine, busy & stocked well with the drinks. Canapés need slightly more attention.
Breakfast is a bit chaotic at the moment, not entirely sure its, down to Covid measures. Drinks take a lifetime to arrive at table. 3 request & a whole breakfast later I got a pot of tea.
Rooms clean & well presented.
Lots of bars & restaurants around the hotel area.
p. m.
A nice hotel, but a bit too busy to be enjoyable. And a late night fire alarm did not help
S. B.
I wouldn’t stay here again. The recent reviews are very accurate. The hotel queue for check in was stupidly deep. And they insisted on handing out cookies rather than helping and opening another desk, which is what everyone wanted. Restaurant was shut, with no prior warning. Service at the front desk wasn’t good, again they focussed on the cookie which wasn’t the point.
The room also needed a lot of attention, scuff marks all over, carpet in certain places had been worn down and the bathroom is actually really small.
I would prefer to stay at a Travelodge at least you get what you pay for.
This isn’t what I would expect from a Hilton Doubletree
E. G.
Sorry not our cup of tea. Don’t know where the staircase was in the place people waiting ages for the lifts no signs saying we’re the fire exit or stairs we’re and when your 7 floors up you really need to know I also paid for an upgrade but don’t think I got it. Stained carpet and lots of hens and stags on our floor. McDonald’s rubbish everywhere in lobby. Also had to wait ages for lifts. Savage garden booked a table for something to eat when we got up there no food really disappointed had to try and find somewhere for food. Not good.

Love Wayne so much
He saved our seat so funny
Love him
Wayne <33333
M. N. B.
Very good location, friendly and clean. Rooftop bar is expensive but you do get a very nice view of Tower Bridge and london
L. T. A.
Overall ok. Getting hold of anybody while in your room, is a complete nightmare and before arriving!! Drinks could still be available especially after long meetings all day.. Long drive and not in the mode to drive or walk to shops. Just want to get hotel be in your zone with all amenities their...
M. C.
Staff are friendly and rooms are clean.
Location is good for The Tower Bridge Area.
This hotel is underwhelming and could deliver so much more.
J. P.
Currently staying here right now. The room is very basic and not what I have come to expect from a Hilton hotel stay.
No water bottles, no Nespresso pods, 2 glasses on the table despite there being three of us.
No complimentary snacks.
Mini bar is empty. Having spoken to front desk and complained they stated it was out of their control and it depends on who you book with as to whether or not you get the full hilton experience or not.
Not happy, usually a very good chain to go with and have always been very good with customers.
Hilton double tree, you have let yourselves down and made me realise that not all holiday inns are the same.
T. R.
Great time. Rahul at the seven bar mixed me up a perfect drink for the evening and was polite and attentive.
M. S. J.
The staff are super friendly. The location is fantastic: Tower Hill tube station is a 5 minute walk away, Tower of London is about a 10 minute walk away, and the London Bridge is about a 12 minute walk away.
There are lots of great restaurant choices around, with a lot of good non-touristy options. The breakfast buffet is a standard line-up of eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit, etc.
The hotel itself feels rather outdated, though. It feels dark and a bit dreary inside the hallways. The beds and pillows were so-so. They were not the most comfortable I’ve slept in at a Hilton property.
J. V.
Excellent service. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.
J. B.
Lovely room, very comfortable stay. Check-in was lengthy, I presume due to Covid regulations and queues for the lifts due to restrictions, but I suppose these are the small compensations for opening up safely. Staff doing their best.
D. G.
Great hotel, great location, comfortable bed, and wide choice fir breakfast.
Y. S.
Excellent staff! Superb rooms, excellent location and extensive choices for breakfast!!!
R. M.
Furniture. Common areas needs some care. Food kind of boring and if course prices a bit high for quality of rooms
P. M.
Very inconsistent. Stayed here a number of times recently for various medical appointments. The most recent one was disappointing. We're diamond members so are quite used to a warm welcome. However this time no mention of status, no upgrade. Got to the room and no water bottles. Shower thermostat valve must be failing as temperature varied wildly to the point of scalding. Power socket not screwed to desk properly. USB charging ports by bed were dead.
We have stayed before and it was fine but this time was a disaster.
J. S.
Good location hotel was let down by restaurant staff lack knowledge of allergy and bar service was poor.
J. M.
Great hotel. Friendly staff and killing garden view bar on the 12th floor.
R. H.
Booked accessible queen room, bed was unsecure and moved across the room as I transferred from my chair.
No slip mats in bathroom
Door to the bathroom was front heavy and wouldn't stay open without securing.
Glass door in shower inadequate amount of handrails
Poor room service blood sugars were low, refused a drink as the bar was closed no vending machine or assistance from reception.
C. C.
The Hotel is located in the heart of the City; about 5 minutes walk from Tower Hill underground station, and is definitely up to the standard I have come to expect from Hilton.
I was greeted as a diamond member and received a warm welcome from Tanya at reception for check in. Despite the fact the hotel was extremely busy she was most helpful, and was made to feel a really appreciated as a valued guest. I was given a room upgrade to an exquisite suite.
The suite was beautifully appointed with a spacious and comfortable lounge, and was fully equipped with A/C, TV, refrigerator and a Kettle for tea & coffee. Breakfast is a buffet service with hot and cold food. The coffee at breakfast was excellent. The Wi-Fi in my room was good and quite fast. All the staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive, and certainly go the extra mile to make guests welcome and feel at home. The Hotels location is excellent for most of London’s tourist attractions and certainly excellent value for money.
V. D.
Rooms are well appointed with all the amenities including tea making and bathroom toiletries.

After booking this day for a very special occasion, it was my best friends wedding anniversary. My partner and I decided to book A room to join them so we could go out in the evening to a London restaurant.
I had spoken to the hotel and made them completely aware this was a special occasion and although I am a Hilton diamond Honors members, all I asked was that one of the rooms was in a famous 10th floor which has stunning views for the couple.
So far the hotel staff was lovely and I can only thank the professionalism attached to Lee, Alfredo, lady lady’s name beginning with H! This unfortunately is where the good review stops.
Unfortunately I had to cancel my room due to work commitments and instructed the hotel to do so. I phoned up the morning of the check-in and spoke to a lovely gentleman called Lee, who took payment from my card which was registered on my Hilton membership so that when the couple arrived, they would be surprised with our anniversary present.
The couple arrived I was greeted by an Asian/ Chinese gentleman he was rude upon arrival and insinuated to the couple that they shouldn’t be staying because I had booked a room and it was against the Hilton membership rules. The couple was concerned that the booking was going to be cancelled and left the reception desk feeling terrible. I got a message from a couple and I spoke to them to reassure them that everything was going to be okay, they was absolutely distraught.
When I did speak to the front desk manager who I believe is the duty manager called Christina, This lady made up a pathetic excuse for the intolerable behaviour experience by the couple and then iPhone for explains, if you was in their shoes how would you feel. Christina refused to take on board my concerns and her lack of experience shows.
So I contacted Hilton guest assistance and they agreed that this level of service is in acceptable and eventually I managed to speak to the general manager of this hotel. Whilst this general manager appeared to be lovely, i’m still wondering if it was a genuine or put on phone voice.
I would advise everyone staying here to also doublecheck their bank statements as I was charged yesterday for the stay, this morning I woke up and saw another charge from Hotel meaning that they took a duplicate payment. The general manager assured me that all charges was wavered which slightly left me confused this morning.
To put it into perspective, I stay in probably over 20 to 30 different hotels a year and whilst I’m very fortunate enough to do this, I experience for good and the bad. I will end this review by saying that there are some exceptional team members who work in this hotel but there is also some unexceptional team members, like Christina and Ning (the Asian receptionist). One thing to also bear in mind is that this hotel is considerably understaffed and if you wish to contact this hotel you have to try at least 10 times to get through and like I did several times, I called HILTON RESERVATIONS to put me through to a designated number which they use.
Location of hotel, 5 stars. Attitude of hotel 2star!
G. T.
First let me say that the staff were lovely and tried their best under difficult circumstances.
On arriving to the hotel we were greeted by a 20 min/30 metre queue for the front desk. Okay, I accept that sometimes can be busier than others, but it reoccurred every time we were passing through.
The worst part was the lifts situation. I've never experienced such a terrible muddle in any hotel. Half the time at least one lift was out of order, and there was a 10-20 min wait for the lifts. Quite often, despite pressing the button, the lifts would miss our floor leading to longer waits.
I use a stick to walk and we got stranded in the sky bar and had to use the service lift to return to our room on the 10th floor. The lift took us to an area we couldn't get out and we had to return to the lobby. We had to use the service stairs to get back to our room.
On other occasions the lift screen would "beep" and display a windows error screen before moving off again. It is a wonder we didn't get stuck in one.
We had paid for a coffee machine in our room and didn't get one, the bed was literally as hard as the floor and the "executive" lounge was not very "executive".
Only the basic Nespresso coffee machine was working in the lounge with the other one not plumbed in, there was no notice, so everyone wanting a proper coffee would try the disabled one before walking out.
Finally, the clientele was very TOWIE. Whenever the executive bar opened, the chavvy orange individuals would take all the wine bottles for themselves and get loud, and obnoxiously drunk. Maybe I'm getting old but I found the white striped tracksuits and orange women with their Areola on show, escaping from almost non-existent clothing, a tad jarring.
I won't be going back.
C. B.
Worst lifts I've ever experienced. They seem to be out of sequence and you can be left waiting for over 20 minutes. The room was an excetive room. The curtains were tired and bad holes in them. The room was clean. The excetive lounge is ok for a quick coffee or a drink. It is not someplace you would sit relaxing for the evening.
R. I.
Staff very good. Long queues for the lifts and the hotel needs updating!
M. E.
Very accessible to most tourist locations like the London Tower.. good ambiance.
R. R.
Loved it great friendly staff, nice size twin room, lovely breakfast great
location 5mins walk to Tower Bridge, Shops and restaurants.
D. D.
The hotel is lovely and some of the rooms have fantastic views. Value was reasonable although that may be due to the current COVID pressure. The staff were very helpful in allocating me a room close to the lift upon request. Overall a nice stay
F. P.
Reception at night not polite at all, questions not answered properly, it looks like they were annoyed by the 1st question we asked, we are not from London and were just asking about bar, restaurants and the services available on the hotel such as gym ,savage bar etc.. bar by the lobby was poor on service with no menus, new member that didn’t know any of the prices . Stayed for one night due to an emergency so we had plenty of suitcases with us and nobody helped us not even a minimum effort. Really bad , won’t recommend and won’t come back. And it feels bad due to I really love Hilton hotels in london . Disappointed
S.
Great location by several landmarks, shopping, and food. Everything is within walking distance. Also highly recommend the bar on 12th floor - Savage Gardens.
L. B.
Mop buckets in corridors on 10th floor, hospitality lounge ran out of food. Tried to charge me twice for car park.. bathroom tile broken. Remote control didn't work. Bar tab showed service charge even though I ordered at the bar and took them myself to the table.
R.
We had a very good experience, the hotel is clean, the staff were very polite and helpful, my only gripe is the lift system you could be waiting a while and then when it comes there's still no guarantee you can get it.
V. L.
Room was clean and big compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at in London. Location was good, staff were friendly and gym was a good size.
A. G.
Not as good as we thought it was going to be,booked a deluxe twin room was far from deluxe. Breakfast hot food was cold. On the plus side beds very comfortable and staff very helpful and friendly.
T. L.
Pathetic!!!!!! Check in was severely delayed. Came at 6pm at queue was 70 to 80 people waiting to check in by just three people when they have capacity to serve 7 at a time. Ridiculous. Delayed my birthday night out. Terrible terrible service.
F. R.
We had a pleasant stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Tower of London hotel. On arrival we were unable to receive our complementary Hilton honours upgrade, however Cristina on reception was very helpful in sorting us out an upgrade for our second and third night. Breakfast is a pre-made continental takeaway box, if breakfast is important there are some good cafes nearby. Our original room was quite basic and below the standard we would expect at the DoubleTree, however our upgraded room was very nice. Overall we had a pleasant stay but Cristina made this extra special for us and we would love her to receive recognition for her excellent customer service.
I. C.
Poor check-in service..
No information given that room service was not available..
Wrongly charged for breakfast and advised it would be refunded. Over a week later and I'm still waiting!!
T. W.
It's a very good hotel with very humble staffs around. They also has bar and restaurant.
King suit rooms are great views to spend some idle time.
A. H.
Good location, easy walk to Tower Bridge. Nice coffee shop .staff friendly
T. L.
Great hotel! As soon as you walk in, the first thing you'll notice is the smell...this hotel smells wonderful! All the staff were super helpful and there was always someone around to help. The room we had (Queen) was a good size and very clean. Good size bathroom, too. Location is very good, too. Tube station within a short walk (a few minutes walk). I'll definitely be staying here again.
M. P.
A good hotel, we stayed in a King Suite with a city view - very spacious and well appointed (if a little tired in areas). Comfortable and very clean. Well located to see this side of the City and the Tower of London / London bridge etc.
Cons: It's not clear there are any stairs you can use (?) and only having 2 people in a lift (COVID sept 2020) at a time is proper but causes a pinch point especially coming down in the morning.
Didn't try the bar, seemed busy, maybe because there was a party going on the 12th floor, which at this time seemed odd!
Signage in the lift about using your door key (even if on your phone as a digital key) could be much clearer as noone knew what they were doing...or why they weren't going up!!
We parked in the Minories car park nearby and pay £7 Saturday to Sunday and walked for 5 mins.
A. W.
The workers here were probably the best staff I have ever met! Sympathetic throughout. The lady at the check-in and I had a very lovely chat for quite some time and she and her Greek(?) coworker were always down for a good laugh. We really enjoyed talking to the staff members here. The hygiene of the hotel room was very pleasant and the room facilities were excellent.
Unfortunately they didn't tell us in advance that we would have to order the cleaning service beforehand so we were stuck with our used towels and rubbish for quite some time, but we are aware that this is only due to the current pandemic and that usually the services offered are of greater quality.
Cleaning ladies were very sweet too!
Very difficult to get a reservation at the Skybar. Additionally the prices at the "Savage bar" had us shocked. Very high-class up there I would say 😅
The price of the hotel room especially when looking at the standard prices that hotels in London provide was brilliant! The view you had from the hallway and the hotelroom were stunning too!
The very central location of the hotel next to the tower bridge and the short footpath to the underground is a huge advantage!
Would come back a thousand times!
They really managed to make my first stay in London the most perfect stay I could've imagined 😊
d. m. s.
Friendly welcome and reasonably spacious roo (for us plus 🐕) but no room service
P. P.
Website said they were serving food in one restaurant so selected that hotel and at arrival they said all closed. OK so got a deliveroo and was going to watch the 8pm game on BBC1 and the TV in the room had no signal for BBC1. Absolutely crazy to not have a signal for a free channel!! Not going there again.
R. B.
Room not ready. Smell like vomit. No supper at premises.
S. H.
Pretty standard stay, there just isn't enough elevators in the building several times we we're queuing for over 10 mins! Wether it was because of social distancing or the fact one is solely for restaurant use or it seemed one was out of order but it's a reason for us not to book again.
A. W.
Typical Double Tree Hilton, you know what you're going to get. The roof top bar is nice but service was a little slow. Very busy on the Saturday night I visited but would definitely stay again
N. R.
This was a lovely clean hotel. The rooms were a good size and the bathrooms were very clean. The staff and facilities are nice. The rooftop bar is all where it shines. Great views of London. So easy to get to as it is right by fenchurch Street station. They are doing really well to comply with everything during covid too! Will definitely stay here again.
M. C.
Stayed 2x 2 nights within 1 week (went to Wales in between). No answer EVER when calling downstairs.
M. B.
Amazing hotel. Spotlessly clean. Great food, comfortable beds and very friendly staff. Couldn't be happier
M. G.
Used the secure private underground parking. Staff very helpful, breakfast very filling
G. A.
Located near the Tower Bridge, the hotel is perfect for a tourist's point of view as you can pretty much walk to the major attractions like Tower Bridge, Thames River and the other big streets. Rooms are flawlessly clean, and well maintained.
One thing that we really didn't like was, the parking arrangement. Although we were being told that we can find parking (paid) in the hotel premises, yet we had to wait for two days to get a parking. I would come back again, but would like to know for sure that parking is available instead of having a surprise.
D. P.
Very busy at reception during check in and check out, get ready to wait around.
K. A.
Fabulous and beautiful scenery. Rooms very nicely cleaned
A. B.
Top Stay. I picked this hotel due to location, upon check in I was greeted by Crisina she was happy, and helpful and made check in easy she made me feel special right from the start. I also had additional interaction with her during my stay and she is a credit to the organisation. She was professional and genuinely interested in the customers’ needs and attaining to them. Other staff during my stay were also very good but she stood out. Room was very good, quiet location so I could sleep, and the facilities were to as high standard. Due to covid the breakfast was a takeout box which was very good. I went to top floor roof bar and the views were amazing and a must. You can from here walk to the Shard, Borough Market, Sky Garden, tower of London and it is close to the tube stations too. Looking to go back near Christmas.
D. H.
Very clean room even under bed was superb clean was impressed breakfast a good selection 👌 would stay again
B. B.
Great location, good deals to be had by booking online. Didn't get to experience the restaurant as its not open Mon-wed but otherwise a nice stay.
S. S.
The night before checkout, I got food poisoning (NOT from this hotel). The staff were so sweet and accommodating the next day when I could barely stand. Thank you again
M. S.
The Double Tree is perfectly located for the sights and sounds of old London. The staff are very friendly and polite and anyone who stays here will feel very comfortable they are being well looked after.
L. B.
Stayed recently, nice place to spend a weekend as it's close to the City. Staff were also friendly. Only issue we had was that our room overlooked a small grass patch which was full of rubbish, so the view was not good for the price of the room. Hopefully it can be maintained more often.
J. D.
Stayed at this hotel numerous times and even during COVID stays have been welcoming with great personal service. The hotel is in an amazing location. Definitely recommend.
M. M.
Ideal location by the tower bridge best part of the hotel was the natural kitchen which is the restaurant attached to the hotel I give this 5 stars for service and food
P. H.
Great location, great air conditioning, only negative the room was not cleaned for the 3 nights we were there.
D. B.
Atmosphere friendly
Rooms clean and tidy
Breakfast was fantastic
D. G.
I haven't stayed there, so I can only comment on the exterior, what I saw in the lobby, the brief look I had at my friend's room, and the rooftop bar. Exterior was impressive. Great lobby. I liked the bar section right there in front. The room I saw looked on the better side of typical hotel room, though I've no idea what kind of room it was meant to be. Rooftop bar was surprisingly awesome! Really good views all around, especially on top. I recommend.
C. M.
Clean, spacious and comfortable room with a lovely view of the Tower of London.
B. K.
Nice hotel and location, easy for Tower hill and Fenchurch stations. Tower of London ect.

Very happy with this location, the amenities, and the morning breakfast. We are Gold and Diamond members and we’re able to enjoy our London vacation away from the United States because of the Honors privileges and rewards like coffee, snacks, wine, water, etc. The room wasn’t huge, and unfortunately we weren’t able to be upgraded as the hotel was at capacity. But, we were out and about the majority of the time, so the room was perfect. Shower was great with great pressure and it didn’t leak all over the floor! Would stay here again, though do know that the location is very quiet as it’s in a business or financial area, and the area ‘rolls up.’

Good overall experience. Staff is warm, restaurant is nice. Location is very good. Service could improve in breakfast restaurant and checkout counter. Staff needed two reminders to get me an omelette. The lady at the checkout got my room no. Wrong even though I told her and gave room key. Anyways, the manager stepped in and sorter out the issues. Housekeeping staff is mostly foreigners from CEE countries and their English is not great. So, a challenge to explain to deal with them. Their work is good though.

We have just stayed here, the rooms were nice, staff were lovely and plenty of choice at breakfast.
A. U.
Very clean and great breakfast ,sausage are great

Expected the view ,
But they gave me a soo small room on he first floor - unfortunately

Love The Savage bar on the 12th floor
Staff were very friendly and helpful
K.
The room was adequate and they need to improve on checking in and out. Savage, the rooftop bar makes it all worthwhile.

With all of the luxuries one would expect of the DoubleTree hotel group, this hotel does not fail to disappoint.
A few meters from the Metro, wonderful eateries and some popular tourist attractions within London.
Bed and bathroom facilities are exceptional!
The concierge team is fantastic and extremely good natured and helpful.
Highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and relaxed experience.
K. R.
Awesome hotel and super friendly staff. During our visit - hotel and staff exceeded our expectations, took care of our family needs. Super friendly and helpful staff. This hotel is trying to UP the game from good to Great! Definitely will stay here again. Being Hilton Gold also added great full-breakfast for us - much 'more' valuable to us -- especially on a holiday trip with full-day of activities planned!
S. M.
Friendly staff members nice hotel
D. K.
Located close to the tower hill tube station and literally 2-3min walk and just 5-6min walk access to the St Mary Axe (the Gherkin) and Scalpel area.
A. E.
Lovely new hotel. Helpfull staff, clean and conveniently situated if you want to explore Tower Bridge area.
S.
Hotel room was lovely and quiet, comfy bed, nice shower. Iron was rubbish, took forever to iron a shirt.
Lobby spaces/bar was nice place to spend some time. Staff were all lovely.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing, the room was so boiling I was sweating whilst I ate and the coffee was really awful.
Would come back but not at the price paid.
P. G.
It was a great stay. Hotel staff was top-notch and so very friendly. Rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Roof top bar was a blast. Breakfast was delicious! Location perfect.
M. P.
Nice enough, not much bar seating and gargantuan queues for breakfast
S. P.
I loved my stay at this hotel. Had a slight issue with the AC clicking on and off but they gladly switched my room. The executive lounge was great to have access to as well. Had breakfast in the morning and small plates/drinks in the evening. The atmosphere of the hotel was very enjoyable and it's location is close to many day spots. The evenings, not so much though. They do have a cool bar on the roof though!
J. J.
Amazing cookies which the desk kindly provided as a welcome gift and also throughout the stay. Clean rooms with lovely views. Called for concierge which we had to remind desk about but came eventually. Friendly staff. Thanks for the great service.
L. H.
Great hotel in a spectacular location looking over tower bridge
M. C.
Staff helpful. Unfortunately we got an unrequested upgrade which gave us a queen bed when we had requested a king size.....staff sorted it for our second night but first night not so good. Location good for the city. Plenty of eateries around and close to choice of tube lines. Rooms pleasant with windows that open and air con.
O. S.
4 star hotel is worth 4 stars. They don't disappoint in the lobby, but the bar is awkward with no stools and a kitchen that chooses early.
The rooms are okay. Functional and clean. The bathroom is very European (read: "cramped") and the bed is kind of stiff, but the staff...well, they care, are helpful and accommodating. I couldn't ask more from the staff!
S. W.
The 12th floor is the location of Savage Garden Roof Terrace which we visited for drinks.
N. J.
Great location, clean hotel, friendly staff.
B. B.
Stayed here numerous times. Love it. Even the cheapest rooms come with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing board, iron, hair dryer and air con. Staff are excellent and go out of their way to help you and are always friendly and polite. The breakfast is well worth the money... I especially love the fact they have a pancake maker, and all the toppings to make American breakfast pancakes (whipped cream, fruit, bacon etc). This is my personal go to London hotel. Excellent rooms for the money and in an excellent location in London.
L. J.
Nothing to complain about, amazing breakfast, nice spacious rooms with everything in working order.
A. V. V.
I stayed here with my boyfriend and my sister and her partner for her birthday. We really enjoyed our stay. As we booked in they gave my sister a free drink card from the bar. The breakfast was more than 5 stars amazing in every way!! Only down fall was that we found the lifts quite hard to understand. Rooms were lovely too!
D. A. F.
We stayed for a week during our visit to London.
Great service by friendly staff. Nice clean rooms, though a bit small which is to be expected in the financial district. Very clean rooms and a comfortable night's sleep.
The underground station is very convenient-just a one minute walk.
Lots of nice restaurants, cafes and pubs in the area.
Will definitely return.
O. L.
Good price for the location but that's pretty much it,the interior of the rooms and hallway look like they're stuck in the 50s,old,tarnished,the bathrooms are ok-ish,dont get me wrong ,they were clean but they just look not very inviting, the place needs a refurb asap..breakfast was ok,first morning I had asked for a coffee and the quality of it was disappointing, light coloured, just like tea,bad taste...I had to walk to the next Pret to buy myself a proper one.Overall ok for a city break because of it's location
J.
The names of the room have got nothing to do with the room sizes instead they are the sizes of bed which was very disappointing as I was with my husband and our 2 children. There was hardly any space left in the room if a visitor were to come. Thankfully we had the room for only 1 night and were more than happy to leave such a pigeonhole in the morning. The executive lounge was good with a variety of snacks and was the only saving grace of the stay. Although the staff was helping, except the concierge not many knew English! My husband was told at the time of booking that we would be given a room with a window looking out to the Shard. When we tried to check in at 15:00, we were told that room is not available as the guest has decided to extend his/her stay. The room which has been allotted to you is being cleaned now so if we can come back after an hour or so OR stay at reception until the room is cleaned. Just for information, we paid a price of £400 a night. A huge disappointment !!!.
L.
Too expensive and not well-organised. Quite disappointing. Location is good however.

Nice hotel, great location, great Sky Lounge Bar

Had a nice stay here. There wasn’t much of a view but the room was clean. Concierge staff were so pleasant, helped me to my room even gave me a voucher for a free drink. Breakfast was delicious but the city cafe room was rather small.
H. L.
Worn out rooms, moldy shower, strong smell from the cleaning products.
S. M.
I give it this review because 2 reasons. The rooms are nice and clean. You get a free 5 pound voucher if you decline room service. You get a free water bottle in the room. And if you have access to the business lounge, you can get free breakfast and water and seltzer, coffee, coke. I took one star away because I requested complimentary toiletries and they took over half an hour to come so I had to call again for them to bring them up. That took another 15 minutes. Also, my friend booked 3 rooms and they tried to separate us and put us on different floors. Overall it was a good hotel. But the service could be better.
O. E.
Fantastic hotel, clean, comfortable and attentive staff. Close to tube and boat links and a stones throw from the tower of London.
A. F. P.
Very good hotel in a great location, conveniently close to Tower Hill tube. Rooms are clean and spacious, bed is comfortable, great shower. There's a rooftop bar with great views, but if you want a more chilled vibe go to the Number 7 bar on the ground floor. Finally, breakfast is absolutely amazing! Great selection of food and excellent fresh coffee.
R. A.
Their receptionist are very welcoming and they even gave us welcome cookies! Because I am a member of Hilton hotel, i got an unexpected upgrade today! There is no additional cost, it is just because I am a member. I love the room and the facilities are high quality too. I will definitely come back and book a hotel in this chain! Love it!
The view from the hotel is amazing too!
M. H.
Fabulous staff and great location hotel is awesome too
M. S.
We were staying at the DoubleTree Tower of London and Tate managed to check us all in despite me doing it as 3 separate bookings! Our rooms were small but quiet, with good wifi and a nice view of the Shard, mostly obscured by low cloud. The Tower entrance is five minutes walk away and the underground even closer. The Exec Lounge was excellent, nice selection of canapes and always good to have somewhere to meet up and get a free cuppa. The restaurant food was delicious and there were actually plenty of healthy choices on the menu although service was a little casual. The 12th floor roof terrace views which were pretty damned impressive!
L. T. A.
Absolutely terrible service. Cancelled my booking last minute without any reasoning. leaving me to find another hotel at very short notice.
S. M.
Staff are friendly and rooms are clean.
Location is good for The Tower Bridge Area.
This hotel is underwhelming and could deliver so much more.
L. M.
Located close to the tower hill tube station and literally 2-3min walk and just 5-6min walk access to the St Mary Axe (the Gherkin) and Scalpel area.
R. B.
Clean room, quiet generally (apart from the car alarm going off in the early hours)
L. R.
Poor check-in service..
No information given that room service was not available..
Wrongly charged for breakfast and advised it would be refunded. Over a week later and I'm still waiting!!

Superb staff and wonderful all round stay.

We were only too pleased to be visiting at last having booked the hotel through booking.com who have always been excellent to book through. A week before our arrival on 22 May 2021 several emails came through from The Doubletree asking if we wanted to upgrade our booking with them and they were looking forward to greeting us on 22nd May. However upon arrival we were advised they had no booking for us at all. We advised we had received emails just that week saying they were looking forward to welcome us! A gentleman was called over to assist, examined the emails from them which confirmed our booking reference and then said they would find a room for us at the price confirmed (as if he was doing us a favour) - no apology, nothing. However the room was obviously for one occupancy but with 2 beds. Furthermore, there are 500 plus rooms in this hotel with three lifts!!!! We NEVER found the srairs we may have been able to use and everyone was complaining about the lifts. We are making booking.com aware of this complete hash and will NEVER stay there again. However, it has to be said that restaurant staff were excellent. Set up for breakfast was very well done and works extremely well to account for the present circumstamces. Food was also very good.
A. F.
I loved my room. It was really nice and tidy with all necessary amenities. The service and staff were very helpful. The food was very tasty. Room service was great. The breakfast buffet was abundant though you should prepare for some wait times around 9 a.m.
M. A.
Good location, nice facilities especially the sky bar but loses a point for the chaotic check in and slightly dated rooms, good value for the location
C. K.
Lovely room but had a dog on our floor and it didn't stop barking I wouldn't go back to a hotel that allows dogs
M.
Very clean, covid secure hotel. Room spacious with everything you need. Busy bar
S. Y.
Originally we booked another hotel but we were transferred to DoubleTree due to unforeseen problems. We were very happy with the hotel. The breakfast buffet was extensive and there was something for everyone. Our room was clean and comfortable. The sky lounge is a must see, the views are gorgeous in the evening. Wifi worked throughout our stay and the hotel location is very convenient. All and all very happy with the experience and would stay again.
J. M.
Nice location. Easy access to tubes. Lounge is a nice touch with good coffee and light breakfast for honors members.
This said, we will stay somewhere else next year. The service is well below what we have come to expect from Hilton. Despite a stay of more than a week, our room was rarely tidied up & when it was, the cleaning was shoddy. The staff made admitted errors concerning payment for the room. Ultimately a card was flagged and blocked for multiple days as a result of errors by the staff, putting a damper on the entire trip. There was no concession, accommodation, or apology. We typically book Hilton properties due to the consistency in quality. This hotel is an anomaly & we will not return. Best of luck on your trip to London.
R. C.
Great views and cocktails from roof top bar
r. p.
Great hotel nice and clean. Great location tube stop, restaurants and bars not too far away. Stayed here for work but would definitely come stay for personal use too. Spacious rooms and good breakfast buffet spread.
P. W.
OK hotel, prices could be lower considering location and conditions. OK for a quick break, when you spend little time at the hotel but focus on discovering the city. DLR very close, so public transport access is fine, walking distance from Canary Wharf.
Had issues with parking.
No entertainment for the little ones.
A. P.
Nice rooms and the service in the restaurant was great! The front desk staff, could have been a little bit more friendly. We booked breakfast for our stay but the gentleman behind the desk wouldn't believe us. It took us 15 minutes before we were checked in! Also be aware that if you order coffee or thee in the morning in the cafe that this is charged to your room, we thought it was part of breakfasts so it was a surprise.

Extremely unhappy. I paid for the executive Queen room. What a disappointment. I was supposed to be greeted with warm cookies on arrival... didn’t get any. The room was not like the picture, it was smaller and furniture feels as though it’s on top of each other. I had hoped that maybe the room condiments would make it up but we have a kettle... and two glasses... a robe with no belt as it has ripped... I can see the thread of when one loop has fallen off. Furthermore I have no slippers which the room online states it comes with. The fire alarm went off early in the morning 6 times repeatedly with no warning but apparently it was a drill. Staff are not friendly... I don’t know if I get frowned upon because I’m young but I don’t feel comfortable being looked down on.
D. M.
Nice hotel well located friendly staff.
r. s.
Comfortable room. Rooftop bar very expensive
J. I.
Very average hotel. Very commercially minded so don't expect any niceties. Rooms are comfortable and fine without being spectacular. Position to underground/tubes and Tower Bridge and Tower of London is excellent. Staff are okay but a bit soulless. Do their job without passion. This is not a hotel to rush to, but certainly very well positioned for public transport.
B. I.
It's a beautiful and stylish hotel close to The Tower and Towerbridge. I booked an executive queen room on floor 10. Those rooms are newly furnished. I had access to the executive lounge which was to be found on ground floor.
Eye catching lobby area with bar and big glass ceiling.
The room was nicely designed and quite spacious, the shower however might cause difficulties to enter for people who are a little overweight.
New digital key system was new to me and I found it very convenient and practical. Use your mobile for access to room and facilities of the hotel.
Staff was helpful, welcoming and friendly.
J. D.
Easy so get to from underground. Lovely hotel and staff.
M. H. (.
Great location, great rooms with amazing views. We were a little early for check in and they were extremely accommodating with holding our bags until the room was ready while we went to see the city. We were also given a warm soft oatmeal chocolate cookie during the process!!
The rooftop lounge is amazing with great views and a chill vibe. The was a private function at the time so we didn't spend much time there but a quick drink in the place was great.
Excellent executive lounge with a great spread of canapes and drinks during 'happy hour'. Also a great spot when you need a quick sparkling/ still water or a cup of tea or soda.
Restaurant had a terrific breakfast buffet. Everything you would expect and much more-- omelets, smoothies, cheese etc. Plus beans for a proper English breakfast!!
The bar in the lobby was also convenient for a late Hells ale when most pubs nearby were closed.
The location was perfect. Steps from the tower of London and landmarks like Lloyd's of London the Gherkin and the Lamb pub. Sits right beside the 4 seasons.
Snapped a pic of the view from just outside the lift on the 10th floor to give some perspective.
Always enjoyed staying at the Hilton hotels and this was no exception. Very reasonable and has everything you need.
P. C.
For many hotels this would be a four or five star review, however in this case given the price point, and the premium reputation of the brand, I feel the hotel was a bit below expectations. I have spent a significant amount of time staying at Premier Inn hotels this year due to work, and I have found most Premier Inn rooms to be better maintained. The level of comfort was slightly worse also. Check in took a long time, and it felt like I was asked for a lot of personal information which was already on the booking. On the plus side rooms are very clean and tidy, the location is excellent, and the view is quite good from the higher floors.
V. O.
Beautiful stay and the rooftop bar a must visit breakfast well worth it..
J. H.
A reasonable hotel with a good bar. There are two restaurants- one by the hotel and the other from Natural Kitchen. Rooms are decent sized but bathrooms are pretty small. Location is great within walking distance to the Tower Hill Tube Station. The Executive lounge is however small and bare.
D. K.
Very central hotel. I loved the roof top restaurant with the view. The rooms are nice as well. Nice furniture, comfy beds, all clean. Breakfast we did not try. Staff was very helpful and nice. Good for business or just a city trip with sightseeing.
e. v.
The Location was fantastic. Just in heart of central London. Breakfast options were great but the waiting time (queues) during the weekend was huuuuge. Our bed was comfortable but we felt the room was very small. For the brand (Hilton), money and hype I thought a bigger and much more comfortable room would have been great. If not anything but would consider to visit again due to the location
N. L.
Just a few blocks away from the station, this hotel is tucked away on a quiet street but it’s busy inside. The restaurant attached is great, the main bar is awesome, unfortunately the rooftop was closed for construction or it would have hit 5 stars. You have direct access to the tower bridge area with plenty to do and a great spot for grabbing a water taxi. The HH lounge was nicely stocked and breakfast was HUGE! I only asked for a few things while I was here and they had it all. Concierge was very helpful as well. You will like the rooms, comfortable beds, nice TVs but be honest you will be outside more.
J. G.
My second time staying at property. First visit was amazing, second visit not so much. Staff is wonderful. However, we had to switch rooms due to faulty Hvac unit in room that made a loud clicking noise. Other room much better until...my daughter experienced bed bugs bites! I informed the front desk and emailed pictures while I was there. We left to Hotel to head back to US. Received email from hotel stating that had a pest control company inspect room 865 during the day and didn't any sightings of bed bugs. As we all know, bed bugs are nocturnal creatures. I suggested they perform inspection during evening hours and let me know findings. Meanwhile I've also asked that they refrain from allowing guests to use that room. It's been 2 days and no additional response from hotel.
P. W.
Lovely clean spacious room, lovely staff. Nice to have hairdryer and safe in room. Room was cold despite turning the thermostat up, blanket requested did help though!!! Could do with slippers as the bathroom floor is cold!!! View / cocktails in the Sky Lounge amazing
J. D.
What a location! And a smart and stylish place! Super friendly staff but s not pricey. We stayed just one night, had s wonderful night time walk , taking in tower bridge and the tower of London, as well as some nice river air... the room was small but clean and comfortable. Convenient for fenchurch st station. Worth a stay of you can stretch to the cost.
S. H.
Standard Queen room, was spacious and clean. Bed nice and firm. Mac in room that's used for tv / radio etc. Doesn't go very loud. Air con a bit odd, doesn't seem to do much and fairly noise. Sky bar was excellent, view was incredible. Service very good, drinks were expensive though. Cocktails we're £14+ each. Checking in took a while as extra security required photo-id. Staff very helpful. Would stay again, very impressed.
I. K.
Great location. Very clean. Helpful and friendly staff, especially at the concierge who found my coat! Check in was slow and it wasn't that busy - so not sure if this is standard or just bad luck. Breakfast served until 11am and has superb buffet selection. Was very very busy with queues out the door waiting to be seated 20minutes or so prior to service closing. Would happily stay here again.

Modern hotel in city of London. Near to Aldgate gate station and Tower of London. The rooms are quite big and clean. Each room has a different design and is soundproof. It looks like a new establishment so most of the things are new or like new. I tried their breakfast which has 2 options. Buffet style or hot meals by choice. If you book with breakfast option then buffet is included. You'd pay more for hot meals. The hotel is part of IHG group so you can earn and spend loyalty points while staying here. Overall a really nice hotel and reasonable option considering the other 4 star hotels. The staff was also nice and courteous. I'd return for sure in future.
T. r.
Great place. It's a big place but not big enough to hide but you didn't see anything in have up my sleeve. A bientot
E. R.
Nice reception lady, water in room, only need to find out that the room service menu is on the television, would be great at entry that the TV was on. The air condition is noisy and I requested a room with a walk-in shower, didn't expect to get a disabled room, nothing wrong with that, but to be able to stand an shower I now have to kneel and brush my teeth. Missed chance.
N. R.
A great hotel with a great location, walking distance from Tower Bridge and Tower Hill Station. The Staff was very cordial and friendly. We didn't have breakfast there though (Expensive). The on site restaurant is very good, nice food.
p. d.
Brilliant location, a few minutes walk from Tower Hill tube station. Check in was great, very friendly and chatty concierge and a warm cookie as a welcome! Rooms were a good size, shower is lovely. Signed up to the Hilton Honors scheme and so got complimentary WiFi. Seated quickly for a very nice breakfast. Cocktails were great too! We will definitely stay here again.

Don't advertise a lounge with great views if you are closing it on some nights
M. C.
A big disappointment. If you expect to have your breakfast or canapes of the lounge at the 12th floor shown in the enticing picture, forget about it. The 12th floor terrace is not managed by the hotel and guest can use it only for the full (expensive) price cocktails, lunches or dinner.
The first floor executive lounge is very small and the 5.30pm canapes have very limited food and drink choices.
Room are 9k. We were upgraded to a queen executive room of decent size. No rooms with bath tub though.
Not recommended.
D. L.
Lovely place to stay... got given a freshly baked cookie on arrival, room was so quiet and comfortable and fully equipped with everything you could want! Breakfast was amazing with masses of choice. Overall it was exactly as you'd expect from a Hilton
A. D.
Be aware of what you're booking, it's a discount hotel chain. The lobby and public spaces are well done, the rooms are clean and basic, the bathrooms are similar. The food for breakfast is ok, but not fantastic. The exec lounge afternoon snacks are good, and the cookies are awesome.
J. B.
Value for money and in the centre of eveything.
Parking. Jus1qt ask reception...easy enough during Covid but places are limited.
Breakfast is a continental concoction you collect from the Cask cafe. You can take it back to your room or eat there.
The Deluxe twin was cosy. Everthing you could need.We even got a reasonable view from the eighth floor,a request sincr it's my daughter first time in London. If you can afford it go bigger and higher.
No Yorkshire tea but there are plenty of local shops and sometimes it pays to try another brand. Bring a big mug though if you need plenty.
The Tower of London is a five minute walkaround the corner. We walked as far as Fleet street and Aldgate in a big loop.
Shakespeares Globe is within that five mile yomp. Daily exercise for Yorkshire folk on business.
H. C.
Very busy nice hotel in a very historical part of London.
J. C.
Very nice and competent staff. The digital key of the Hilton app needs some work though, I stayed twice so far and could never check in on my phone, had to stand in line for the reception each time so they "unlock" it somehow. For elevator it is also quite challenging, as it take around 10s for the app to notice I am in the elevator and by then the elevator already started moving... But I like the idea of having one card less to carry around.
s. b.
An amazing welcoming, a nice warm cookie and friendly staff. Easy to find and lovely building. Didn't get a chance to use the terrace but was advised to book as bar guests are not allowed. You have to have a table. We had a standard room. Bed was slightly hard but wasnt bad. Came with everything free water and toiletries. Apple mac with keyboard as the tv as well as to find out information. Express check out we just gave our room number and left. We would stay again and try to use more of the facilities.
M. C.
Great experience and lets all get back to a normal world now!
E. W.
Nice hotel. OK facilities. Easy access to the tube. Staff not always that attentive, but concierge are great. Gym could do with an update and clean.
A. O.
Okay so the views from Savage Garden at the top are really good and you can go to the Savage Garden regardless of being a hotel guest. The rooms are decent, my room was a standard queen and was small really but had everything I needed, was perfectly functional, well priced and spotlessly clean.
The staff here are pleasant and helpful.
Highly recommended.
M. L.
This hotel is very close to the tower bridge in London. It is a really nice hotel with some amazing views from the bar. The outdoor restaurant is also very good. The hotel lobby has a lot of chairs to sit and meetup. It's also conducive for working on your laptops etc. The area is very touristy and has some really cool restaurants.

I thought higher of Hilton.
Me and my girlfriend had an anniversary and won a one night stay there. As you can imagine our expectations were high considering it's Hilton. To be completely honest the service was perfect as the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our problem was the room and the policy they had behind it. There was no bath tub in the room which is something you would expect from a 4star hotel in central London. Hostels do not have bathtubs. The moment we realised that we called reception and asked to be moved but they told me I should have told them I wanted a bathtub from the beginning and that they don't have a room to move me to because they were fully booked. I don't believe them because the rooms seemed empty on the floors. It was very disappointing because my girlfriend was really looking forward to a bath after a long day of sightseeing and walking.
The room itself was located somewhere in a remote corner of the hotel with no view. The walls had wholes in them. The TVs volume didn't work even at 100%. Apple TV is a nice touch but the screen is too small. I liked the checkout for the speed. There was also a floor box at the reception where cables were coming out from and there was a whole in it. I nearly tripped on it. And that's where people queue for the check ins. I can only see a disaster there. Overall I am not impressed by Hilton. The adds are so much better than reality. And we did mention many times that we had an anniversary and not even one person congratulated us. Breakfast was delicious.
I'm so glad I won this stay and I didn't pay for it.
K.
The hotel itself is decent. However, there are two things that made it deserve full four stars: excellent breakfasts (and lovely breakfast crew!) and a warm chocolate cookie that they give when checking in. Yes, food is a very important factor for me. :)
a. t.
Nice location and rooftop bar is decent.
Y. C.
High price, low quality. The bedroom I had was pretty normal except for torn curtains and a computer that doubled as a TV that kept cutting out and breaking down. Robes that the hotel gave we're torn. That's not the worst part. The worst part was playing tag between front desk and the kitchen for almost a half an hour trying to find out if they would bring extra complimentary water bottles. Like no one had an answer not even when I asked if I could buy them! Super unprofessional and frustrating. Playing phone tag. As a rule water bottles should be free always and available especially if I'm paying almost 200 pounds for a upgraded room! What was nice was at check-in they give you a complimentary alcoholic beverage at the bar, but very specific low end.
S. L.
Well can I just say a huge thank you to all the staff at the hotel that made our stay so memorable. The staff here are so friendly and totally dedicated to ensuring that their guests have everything they need for a truly fantastic experience. We will definitely be staying at this Hilton again. Thank you so much to everyone.

Savage garden bar upstairs does amazing cocktails

Stayed here last night for our 10th wedding anniversary.
Room was very clean and well maintained, excellent facilities and location.
Close eight to walk into the city but far enough away so as not be disturbed by noise.
We were made to feel welcome and the room was lovely.
Would stay again.
E. J.
Very slow check in /out process. I had a group of 10 to try and sort, which proved hard work. Rooms were nice,as you would expect and was clean. The smell in the corridors was of sewage and drains which was not pleasant at all. And the lifts took forever to get to you. The rooftop bar is a nice touch, fantastic views of the cheese grater (with sky garden at the top), tower bridge and the shard. As you would expect drinks prices are sky high too.
P. S.
Comfortable but basic rooms. With a tiny bathroom !! Loved the cookie upon arrival . Great location and lovely roof top bar...... Don’t have breakfast in the restaurant connected to the hotel it’s soooo overpriced and the orange juice is awful !
t. w.
Air conditioning not working in room and roof bar not open. Only open Thursday to Sunday but at time of booking was not told this.
Car park extremely tight coming in or out
L. v. Z.
King size room expected more from Hilton. Tiny shower like would have in caravan. 2 beds pushed together as king size. No air flow in bathroom. Bed not that comfy but I liked duvet. Cookies nice touch. No plug both sides of bed only one side. Room 226 had view of reception glass ceiling. Not impressed.

Overall a great experience! Room was clean, not massive, but spacious enough and you can't beat the location. Even received a wonderful, warm choc-chip cookie on arrival. I'll definitely stay there again next time I'm in London.

Lovely jesters of free upgrade because they had the space but the walls are very thin can hear the other guests very clearly or maybe staff at 2.52 am .... not good but bed is very comfy...

Very nice hotel..one of the best in the Uk🥰

Rooms are very basic, rang reception and concierge several times and no answer. Room service food was disappointing. Corridors smell bad and are stale with no fresh air circulating. The roof top bar is nice but prices are expensive and there is a 12.5% service charge included for everything.

The location is very good. We didn't have much trouble finding the hotel. The rooms are big and clean. No sound. Employees are concerned. Reception is constantly on. Overall I was satisfied.

When arrived the woman was pretty rude to me and then told me to go to the wrong floor. Got in the room was tiny and the tall lamp didn't work jumped in the shower. Finding a male pubic hair. Roof bar staff was really nice and great service. But wouldn't stay again.

Fairly slow check in, room was basic and bleak, marks on the walls. Furniture was cheap and nasty. WiFi wasn't included which is a joke for a £200/night hotel. No water in the rooms. Breakfast was decent but won't be returning, Grange City is much better as well as being cheaper. Don't really understand how they can justify their pricing, stay elsewhere!

Lovely hotel with amazing views from the rooftop bar.

I stayed in an executive queen suite, and was very pleased. My bed was too hard for me, so when I mentioned it, they were up within minutes to add bed toppers to it. They really went above and beyond to make sure i was comfortable. Also, have g access to the executive lounge is great, with the small Buffett each evening, and free drinks all day. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in London.

Fantastic location and underground parking a great added bonus. Visited sky bar on top floor and had great views of the city. Rooms were very good and Apple Mac was a nice addition. Drinks a bit over priced in the bars but that's expected. Avoid the kitchen restaurant, we had a meal and it was neither good or value for money

Wonderful hotel. Excellent rooms, extremely comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. 2 minute walk to the tower of London and the nearest underground. Absolutely amazing and the sky lounge was great even though it was packed.

Overall a very nice stay. Rooms are comfortable, clean and tidy, though not big. There is a mac computer instead of TV in the rooms. It is OK but the volume is on some cases too low. Breakfast is good and the bar on the 12th floor is great at night with wonderful views towards Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.

I got stuck in a room with a court yard view for 1 week. The court yard view looks directly into other guest rooms and the adjacent hall way. Thus, if you want privacy you need to keep your curtains closed.
Additionally the room was cramped and I felt quite claustrophobic.
The hotel staff didn't replenish the free water bottles daily during the entire week.
The hotel staff shut down two of four elevators to service the rooftop nightclub which caused major congestion and Long elevator wait times in the evening. Also, the music at the nightclub was very loud and could be heard from inside my room on the 8th floor until very late.
The free cookie at check-in was delicious.
Overall, if you're after a free delicious cookie, then this is the hotel for you. Otherwise, just pay for the cookie and go elsewhere.

We stayed here during our recent trip to London. The location in Chelsea was convenient for attending Wimbledon, which was shared by some of the pro players. I was in tennis geek heaven seeing some of these players during breakfast; see pictures. The rooms were small but that is typical of European hotel rooms. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Because we were diamond status, we were given free vouchers for small bites at the bar, and also vouchers for coffee and drinks, which was a very nice perk that we used on several occasions. If you are a fan of tennis and are attending Wimbledon, I highly recommend staying at this hotel during the first week of the tournament for pro player watching.

Great hotel, good views from some rooms, fantastic from the rooftop bar which gets busy with non-guests in the evening.
Contemporary modern rooms, especially good in the executive floors. Try to get one at the furthest western end of the hotel as they are even larger than normal. Some have internal views to the courtyard which is pretty. Stayed here 3 times & not experienced any noise disturbance from outside.
Very short walk from Tower Hill tube.

Always liked this hotel however lately seems they always have an excuse around a room upgrade for someone who's there once a month. Also had an issue recently with a VERY strong pesticide (?) Smell that permeated my clothes and bag that I smelled at home opening my bag. Sent hotel a note and they ignored comments about the smell. The next trip was the same way although I got on another floor. This recent trip I was on a floor that smelled strongly like mildew carpet in the common area on 9 - this place really should pay attention to smells that greet their guests!! Been staying here for nearly 4 years and this is a recent development so hoping they get there act together.

Location is very handy, close to both underground and DLR stations. The rooftop bar is nice but the rooms themselves feel dated and incredibly bland. Check out can take a while from large queues same as check in, personally won’t be staying again.

This is one of my favourite hotels in London. Absolutely lovely rooms and the Thames Suite has views to die for over Tower Bridge and the Thames. Service also very good in this hotel. Literally cannot fault. This is one of my go to hotels in London (as long as it’s not too pricy as can be very, very expensive mid week)

I had made some special requests for my stay and for the service I did make extra payments which were taking out of my account. Once I arrived at the hotel and check in my room. No arrangements I had paid extra for were made. When requested once again to have the arrangements, my request was ignored. After checking out I contacted the Customer Support team who weren’t very helpful as they started negotiating with me to give me extra points for my next visit, keeping in mind they had admitted that they had made a mistake. And when I asked to receive a refund for the service I asked for and did not receive the staff decided to ignore me and make further negotiations with points and discounts.

Fantastic hotel. Staff is amazing and always smiling and don't hesitate to help. Breakfast is perfect, full of options and delicious food. Couldn't haven't been more perfect! Special thanks to Antonio, on reception; Marcus, the gentleman who takes your cases; and finally Joe, the manager.
