My grandson and I were stranded in London during Storm Eunice after the trains were cancelled. We checked in at this hotel and loved it.
The reception staff were so welcoming and helpful, and provided a warm cookie on arrival.
The room was spacious and comfortable with a super bathroom and shower.
The beds...amazing.
We had a relaxed evening, with a meal delivered to our room; a delicious macaroni cheese. We watched TV and slept well.
A special mention; Rita in the breakfast room was helpful and friendly and accommodated our needs. A big thank you...she is lovely.
In all a lovely stay and I would definitely stay here again if I needed to.

Great location, some nice restaurants in the neighborhood. The duplex king suite was quiet and clean, but a bit old fashioned (except bathroom, which was renewed recently obviously) and run down. TV and wifi worked fine. The staff was friendly and committed. Check in and out was quick and professional. The service in the breakfast room was friendly and dedicated.

A lovely stay, all the staff were kind courteous helpful from the start and throughout From the first moment we entered the hotel, our receptionist Mintin especially, who called our room after an hour to check we were settling in OK. The bar staff, breakfast crew, the maintenance guy we shared a lift with; all were cheerful and attentive, also. Room service was quicker than they promised.
Well done Hilton crew!! I give you an 11 out of 10. I would choose you again!

Central located city hotel with the obvious standard for a Hilton brand. The rooms are old fashioned, but clean and bright.
We visited the hotel in a local vacation period, this led to a fully overcrowded breakfast area with lots of „gaps“ in the buffet and a long waiting time. We used from day 2 the lounge, reduced offer, but always immediately a seat and for some specials, we organized this from the open buffet.
The team is eager to serve, always with a smile and full of good recommendations. In front of the hotel is the underground station Gloucester Road, easy to use for nearly all relevant tourist attractions.
All in all, all good and for the brand everything was ok, 3 nights in the center of London and we will come back..

Very nice hotel, very clean and staff very helpful. Room was great with tv and tea/coffee. Bathroom was a good size too. Excellent breakfast. Only about 15 minute walk to Albert Hall.
B. C.
Brilliant location, so close to Green Park tube station and a short walk to all the museum's. Very friendly staff who were happy to help and a good breakfast in the morning. Basic, clean room but we were happy with it. Just be aware there is some traffic noise if you want a quiet stay. I would definitely stay here again when visiting London!

We have returned to this hotel after a break due to Covid. It is our first choice whenever we travel to London. The garden is a real bonus, the hotel has not lost any of its personal attention to guests needs. We will be back. Keep up with the great work and let's get through the pandemic and enjoy travel again.

Lovely hotel. Great location to walk to all the best museums, Royal Albert Hall and enjoyable restaurants. The members of staff at this Hilton are amazing, attentive and really nice. A special mention for Syed who looked after us on our most recent visit. Amazing client service from Syed.
M. G.
Amazing afternoon tea! The domes are really nice and gives you that perfect privacy to go with your party. What absolutely melted my heart was the fact that they have a commemorative garden dedicated to Grenfell 💚
J. L.
Great staff. Lunches are lovely with options for a lite bite or proper lunch. We have our monthly meetings in this hotel. In the summer it even has a man made beach in the garden
O. I.
Great location and amazing staff. But unfortunately only one of the lifts was working during my stay which was abit inconvenient. But enjoyed my stay and the cookies at check in did not disappoint as usual.

Location was excellent, and the staff was fantastic! Especially Frankie at the front desk, and Ash in the restaurant. Both were very professional and accommodating. The whole staff was great though. We stayed 7 nights in the king suite, and were very happy with the comfort of the bed and room. My only 2 mild complaints: the room is starting to look a bit dated, and the internet was spotty. Especially on our final 2 days there, we struggled to get on Hilton Honors frequently. We were not alone. We heard others complaining about it at the front desk. Fix those 2 issues and it is a fabulous place to stay!

Great stay. Fantastic location, right next to tube station and museums. Stayed with a 2 year old and 4 year old and the hotel made sure the sofa bed and cot bed were all made up ready. Stayed in the duplex suite and it was spot on. Very clean and everything there we needed. Staff were excellent and really helpful. Able to check our bags in early which was really helpful. Would stay again!

Absolutely brilliant. Amazing afternoon tea - best scones. The staff were wonderful + attentive. Cosy + warm inside. Definitely recommend. Thank you all.

Exceptional service. Helpful staff. You are welcomed with a warm cookie. We arrived early. The staff where happy to store our luggage for us to enjoy London. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Great location! 1 minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station.
K. O.
Great location and staff provide an excellent service. Breakfast service was excellent, especially for the kids. Pancake maker helped set them up for the day ahead!

Spending a weekend in London doing tourist things and this hotel was a great base with Gloucester Road tube station across the street it was well connected to the West End and other tourist areas. Our room was spacious and quiet with a beautiful view over the gardens to the back. The price offered good value and I would definitely look to stay here the next time I'm am spending a weekend in London.

Stayed here for 3 nights, and it's easily the nicest stay I've ever had!
The king suite was spacious, clean and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Any slight issues were dealt with immediately - and the only issue I had was booking for the "Ken's Diner" restaurant, so I'd recommend booking in advance.
Bags can be stored before check-in and after checkout times, so there's no need to worry about getting there too early or checking out too early and having to take your bags around London.
I can't recommend this place enough, it's the comfiest bed I've slept in in ages, the nicest breakfast I've had in months, and some of the nicest staff I've ever met!
E. O.
Check the bill before checking out and get a receipt. The contact telephone number - no-one answers; customer services at Hilton (USA) could not get a response. I’ve made a complaint which was acknowledged but not dealt with! I’m now going to have to pursue it through my credit card company.
The location of the hotel and accessibility of the hotel is good. The room was clean and tidy, be mindful that the room service is NOT a daily event.
A. R.
Very clean, modern hotel. Good room size and comfortable, excellent location justba few underground stops away from central London.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Good breakfast, although it was a little crammed with so many guests and not enough room in the restaurant.
Only disappointment was the bar closing very early, we arrived back from a long day out in London by 22:30 and headed to the bar for a night cap but were informed they were already closed. Other than that it's a highly recommended hotel from us and we would stay there again (2 Adults & 2 Children)
S. J.
Nice room but a lot of repairs needing done to it. 12.5% gratuity on anything bought in the bar or restaurant.
Breakfast choice very basic and not good quality.
Not to the level of the Hilton brand we have previously stayed in
N. G.
Everything here its great!
From the service team, the food, and also
The rooms.
Very clean, very hot water everytime u want a good shower.
Close to a train station and also
near to good restaurants.
Very recommend hotel! Enjoy it 😉
M. C.
Hotel is well placed for the Albert Hall. Rooms are very comfortable and quite.
Breakfast was a buffet. With toast, pancakes, ceral and english breakfast. Hor and call drinks. Would stay again.
J. B.
Minting is an excellent ambassador for the hotel. Made us very welcome on arrival and was very apologetic on our departure that the hotel charges £5 per item for
storage, even a carrier bag
attached to the case. Resolved by only charging £5 which is still unacceptable.
J. B.
A very average stay at this London hotel, unfortunately will not rebook at this hotel. Some pointers include the following:
Negatives
- Run down furniture, etc some damaged chairs need replacing
- No waste bags included and inattention to complimentary drinks replenisment
- Breakfast service can be messy and cleanliness was not so good
- Requests from front desk staff not actioned as they are so busy
Positives
- Polite manner of staff at front desks
- Breakfast food tasted good, except the lack of milk in coffee machines
- Reception area nicely decorated
- Has included use of the gym
M. M.
Location good, hotel good, however well under staffed. When we arrived got into room ac didn’t work, reported and was waiting on for an hour to get another room so ac didn’t work in a few rooms.
Breakfast very basic, coffee machine kept on breaking. Room access cards did not work so were given 4 cards.
Unfortunately will not return to this Hilton, holiday inn across the road looked much better option.
J. C.
We have stayed in this same hotel and room before, but when it was a Crown Plaza.
The room was not as tidy and well kept as last time, also bed linen was nowhere near expected quality and the pillows where unbearable.
Breakfast was a terrible experience rammed with people even though we went there at different times to try and miss this, with not a lot of selection if you didn't want a cooked breakfast.
D.
Very comfortable room, pleasant attractive hotel. Well cooked and plenty of choices for breakfast. Ideally located to get around London. Great service by the staff, highly recommended.
K. D.
Had an initial issue with my room and the aircon not working. Roxana from the reception team was very helpful and professional, she gave us free drinks voucher while sorting out another room for us. We had initially considered changing hotel, however she gave is the reassuring we needed and we had a great stay.
S. A.
Nice location close to the museums. We had problems with the tv not working which didn't get resolved. I would recommend going to breakfast before 9am at the weekend as it was chaos afterwards.
R. B.
Great Hotel, fantastic location for tube, museums, and Kensington Palace.
Great family atmosphere, the secret beach and pods looked amazing...
Don't be put off by negative comments, the welcome cookies went down at bit too well. Look forward to returning again soon.
V. L.
The reception staff were warm and friendly. The room was clean but bathroom could have been cleaner which made me uncomfortable. The location is great for accessing public transport. More consideration should be made for wheel chair access.

Excellent customer service at the Double Tree Hilton in London Kensington!
I had dinner in their beautiful and calm garden on Wednesday. After 30 minutes I politely asked the waiter to check my order as it wasn't busy. A complimentary large glass of wine and snacks turned up out of the blue with the promise that my grilled salmon would arrive in six minutes. I didn't complain, threaten or demand. It just turned up. That is what customer service should be like.
G. M.
Probably the worst Doubletree I have stayed at in London. Its a big old building and we were given a pokey room on the top floor overlooking the air-conditioning units. Not a blade of grass or tree in sight and a locked window. Temperature in our room was high as air conditioning was not working
We spoke to maintenance who said they would come back and take a look but nothing was done. The phone was also not working so we had to go down to reception everytime we needed something. The room was so small we couldn't fully open the mini fridge because the bed was blocking it.
Would not recommend.

Well, we were a group of ten and went for a dinner in the London secret garden. The atmosphere is really nice, the staff is kind but we didn't like the food and the service was not excellent. Wouldn't go again comparing the price with the food.
H. F.
The staff go over and above at every stage of your stay. They made the first night of our honeymoon so special. I would highly recommend this hotel its central to everything and a 10 minute walk to Kensington Palace.
G. R.
Whilst the rooms are a little out-dated, the service was excellent, and we received an upgrade to a duplex room. Breakfast was good also. Great location as easy access to Gloucester road tube station.
K. A.
Very comfortable stay, nice and friendly staff..great breakfast with plenty of choice..definitely would choice again..
A. W.
Convienient location for hotel. Breakfast ordinary for a Hilton if a little underwhelming. Reception staff and bar staff friendly. Room not thoroughly cleaned to the standard expected due to COVID but not uncomfortably so.
L. K.
Nice but things not as I would have imagined. Not enough toilet rolls for a family room of 4, no handsoap (we bought one ourselves), we were a towel short, no normal coffee sachets, milk tubs = one already half open! Breakfast was claustrophobic and no-one was wearing masks to get up or get buffet breakfast. Was not enough servings of hot breakfast for the amount of people that it kept running out within minutes. Also the croissants etc....and people were using their hands not the tongs.... Needless to say didn't bother going down 2nd day! A glass of wine and a bottle of peroni £15+.
A premier Inn or such like would have been better quality and hygiene.
N. F.
Was my pleasure to Facepaint at a birthday party in the venue of this hotel , high recommend, staff very helpful and friendly, clean and good size venue
W. C.
This hotel is well situated for convenience and location being next to the Underground and also bus routes. A clean modern hotel with good facilities and a welcoming atmosphere.
M. B.
I have been there 4 times now & feel like every rime I've been its never been like the 1st time. I think its gone down hill. Hope to have to not go back for a loooong time.
P. B.
Good location for the museum but had issues yet again with a hilton stay. This time 2 days without a TV and problems with the digital key in the lift
F. R.
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Convenient location right next to a tubs station. Quiet room - from which my son was delighted to spot a squirrel
D.
Great little hotel, lots to offer, very reasonably priced and in a great location to get to most places. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Highly recommended!!
K. C.
Absolutely stunning. Lovely evening to end our weekend in London. Lovely food too.
Y. Y.
Staff were help, location was excellent, but the quality of room was only so so, doesn't feel like a four-star hotel run by Hilton.
A. H.
Good location close to Natural History Museum and Gloucester Road tube station. Family Room 328 was at the back and very quiet. Comfy beds. Plenty of hot water. Breakfast was pretty good, just lacking Weetabix and pancakes. We'd stay again.
S. K.
Great location with excellent public transport services at your doorstep. Supermarkets, restaurants, post office, ATMS all conveniently nearby.
Rooms were well kept, clean. Service level is not the same as other Hilton properties but much better than others!
My room overlooked the back garden and the silence would make it hard to believe your room was in the heart of the city.
Would stay in again for sure.
M. A.
The room are missing Air condition since July 2021 the AC still not repaired, if you would like to stay in this hotel avoid Summer season.
Y. K.
I had been to the restaurant last weekend. I was pleased with the service and the food was delicious. Amazing place to spend time in summers on the artificial beach. They also have these pods outdoor which make it very comfortable on a cold day. Also had a talk with the restaurant manager guy and got to know it has recently been taken over by Double tree Hilton. I am very happy with the service and would definitely recommend.
W. W.
Great hotel would return upgraded as room wasn't ready staff very friendly and helpful one of the best hiltons I've stayed at
J. B.
Very nice hotel, clean rooms, good breakfast and rooms away from Cromwell Street are very quiet.
p. b.
Ideally placed for the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Palace and Wimbledon. The hotel is situated in the town centre close to all the local amenities. The bar, restaurant and beach, yes I said beach are well presented and certainly add to the overall attraction of the hotel.
We had an issue with the servicing of our room or lack thereof. The explanation was that the hotel was struggling to find staff for many of its functions including chamber service. We actually saw this issue replayed in other businesses in the area who had closed due to staff shortages - an obvious side effect of Brexit. Fortunately the issues that we had were dealt with expertly by a member of staff at the check-in desk who were clearly trying to do their best with the cards that they had been dealt.
We would definitely stay again and hope the hotel staff shortages are remedied soon.
H. R. N.
Friendly staff, great prices, excellent location and just few metres away from the underground. Visited in 20 July 2021, the room was hot , turned on the air conditioning but not that efficient. They will have to improve their air conditioning and the cooling systems.
R. s.
Perfect stay! Amazing friendly and helpful staff. Clean, fabulous breakfast. Location spot on for underground access with lots of shops, and places to eat. Will definitely be returning when we next return to London
C. P.
Formally crowne plaza Kensington now Double Tree Hilton. You can still see some old branding but overall most things changed over.
The room was nice and everything as you would expect from a Hilton Hotel. Booked through Expedia which always seems to give you the worst of the rooms. However room was fine with a smallish bed compared to what I am used to.
Room has controllable air conditioning standard TV and coffee/ tea facilities
Reception was friendly and welcoming, no issues with checking in.
Breakfast was again as you would expect with a buffet style/ coffee machine and most juices on offer.
B. H.
Great experience. Friendly staff. Family friendly hotel. Would stay again.

Such a beautiful hotel. Staff were absolutely lovely and very accommodating.
D. B.
Great location, good hotel and staff. Some attention to minor details would go a long way.
S. A.
The room was amazing (duplex) which I hadn't seen in London before.
A few teaching problems:
* Aircon was down in the room.
* The room key lock didn't work so they had to let me into the room each time.
D. M.
Good location, tidy and well kept throughout, quality breakfast. 👍
R. S.
So far everything is OK . The staff can't do enough for you. Its our first night here booked for 2 nights
