If you're looking for an economically friendly and clean place to stay in a good location, I would recommend this place. Carlos at the front desk was great and very helpful! Check in was smooth and the room was neat, tidy and cozy.The bed was also very comfortable despite it being a smaller bed. I enjoyed my stay!

I was really impressed with this hotel. It was all very clean, other than a few carpet stains. The room was overall up to a high standard, other than the thin pillows and broken springs on one side of the mattress (my side was comfy but my partner got springs in his back). Shampoo and soap were included. Lovely view out onto the nice street and the little gardens opposite. Staff were polite and friendly. Check in and out was very quick and easy. Unfortunately we were kept awake by noisey people in the room next door, but obviously that's not the hotels fault. One of the best hotels I've stayed in in London for overall value.

Stayed here for one night last night, lovely little hotel and we had a nice quiet room out the back. The staff and breakfast we're very good and it's not to far from Bayswater Tube, would consider staying again the next time we are in London.

Nice hotel and helpful staff. Only a few minutes walk away from Kensington Gardens too which is worth exploring. The bedroom was pleasant, it was funny when we were even greeted by 2 pigeons that had entered the room from the open window, but no issues. They're dealing well with the Covid situation, unfortunately breakfast was delivered in paper bags to the room rather than using the breakfast room, but understandably and we're glad they catered for this. Thanks Garden Court Hotel.

It was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is super comfy clean and pretty. The location is perfect. Staff are very friendly. I had trouble carrying the luggage by myself there was no bellman at check in or check out. Overall its a pleasant stay compared to a three stars hotel.

It's difficult for me to be impartial in reviewing this hotel. I stayed here 25 years ago when it as "family" owned and operated. London has changed a lot in those 25 years and many of the locally owned hotels are now part of chains, as is this one. So how does one move on from what one knew to what one knows now, when one loved the "old" hotel so much... Well, some things are still the same. The old Victorian townhouse has been maintained in good condition. The view of the little square park and rows of similar townhouses out front facing windows is identical. The location is still fantastic, close to an amazing selection of ethnic restaurants, 2 tube stations, bus routes, all manner of stores, and Hyde Park. But once one goes inside, there are a lot of changes. The guest sitting rooms and bar where we spent many happy hours in the past are gone. The rooms are VERY small. No separation between the twin beds, open shelving in place of dressers or closets, no luggage racks. And for a woman the size of Queen Victoria, the tiny showers are a bit problematic. There was constant noise from construction next door over which I am sure the landlords had no control. The spacious basement dining room has been replaced by a small, overcrowded space and the full breakfast has given way to continental. The receptionist was very helpful with directions and addressing one minor maintenance issue. Breakfast was adequate if not hot. The room temperature was comfortable and the beds slept well. The new decor is very modern and obviously fairly new. The room and common areas were clean and tidy. The price is very reasonable for a well located hotel in London. Sigh! I am certain I would like this hotel more if there wasn't a "then" clouding the picture...

Very good location. Several convenient bus lines around the corner, as well as a good choice of restaurants. Tried Khan's - good, but not as impressive as the reviews. Lebanese Al Waha was very good, Hayden as well - relaxed an very friendly service. The hotel is clean and basic. I had a single room (603) on the ground floor with double doors behind a curtain hiding the junk in the back yard. Hard to understand why they don't clean it up. Smallest bathroom I have ever seen - charming, really, and a model for the tiny home wave out there. Comfy beds. Continental breakfast with the typical and sad square toasts, and eggs boiled solid at least the previous day. Attentive breakfast staff.

I've been to London eight times and this will now be my go to hotel. Amazing value for money! This hotel is perfectly situated a few mins walk from 3 tube stations. It's on a cute and quiet street, veyy picturesque. But also right off a main street with shops, restaurants, etc. The hotel itself is very nice. 24/7 front desk, charming lobby, very clean and not noisy at all. The rooms aren't huge but they're not closets either. They have everything you need - modern, comfortable and nice. You can definitely feel at home here. It doesn't feel like a budget hotel at all even though the price is quite budget friendly for central London. Bonus: breakfast is included! And it's very tasty with more options than your regular continental breakfast. Wifi works great, water pressure in shower is great, room temps were good (we were there in Jan). Would highly recommend!

Excellent hotel! It is close to two underground stations plus many bus routes. It is tucked away from the busy areas so it is nice and quiet but a quick walk to all the shops and eateries near by. The breakfast was simple but exactly what we needed first thing in the morning; if you are expecting a full English breakfast, there are plenty of pubs in the area for it. The room was fabulous, very clean and modern, including the bathroom. We've stayed in many hotels in London over the years and I am happy to have finally found one that we can return to again and again.

Great hotel! Clean rooms, excellent staff, and fantastic location (just a 5 minute walk from the Bayswater Tube station) make this a great option in central London. The staff are also very helpful and were happy to answer questions I had about nearby restaurants. The price, however, seals the deal. Will absolutely be booking here next time I'm in the Capital. Updated review Dec. 2019: The hotel is still in good shape, and they have completed renovating all of their guest rooms. While the rooms are on the small side, they are clean and all the rooms I've stayed in are quiet. Staff continue to be warm and helpful, and are always available to help.

Had a 2 night stay in July for my daughters graduation the hotel is in a great location central for all the sights, set in a lovely street. The hotel room was lovely very modern, clean and ample space with tea and coffee available. Breakfast was nice choice of cereal, toast and fruit and plenty of tea and coffee. Staff were welcoming helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

I had a lovely overnight stay, and was surprised by just how welcoming the staff were. The location is ideal - just a 5 minute walk from Bayswater underground, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Honestly, i can't speak highly enough of the cleanliness, which is super important to me (self confessed clean freak). The bedsheets were freshly white, the toilet, basin and shower were spotless. I have no complaints other than that they need to replace the buttons in the elevator which appear to have worn out over time, but this is a minor cosmetic issue in the grand scheme of things and will likely be resolved shortly.

I must give five stars to the young man at the reception. He was amazingly helpful. Please keep it up. The hotel itself is a small lovely and clean one. I think the facilities are good for the price. It is central and close to lots of interesting places. Lots of restaurants near by, you should be spoilt for choice. It is not air conditioned but fans are provided.

The location of the hotel is super. The hotel is nice as well as the staff. Breakfast is included in the price and is simple but good, imo. I requested a single room. The size of the room was perfect for me, it was equipped with basic but functional accessories and furnishings. I didn't enjoy two things. First, my room was downstairs on the corridor to the breakfast room. This meant no chance to sleep starting from 7:30. Second, the bathroom was basically a cabin very tiny, not proper for a 180-cm-woman. Very difficult to move, no plug for hairdryer, rusty toilet paper holder...to name a few cons. The overall experience has been ok but not completely satisfying.

Hotel was in a good location. 5 minute walk from the underground station. Walking distances to dozens of restaurants. Staff was very friendly. They serve free tea and coffee in the lobby. Great location. We were able to walk to most places in London. And it's fairly close to the station. They prohibit people from taking breakfast outside their dining room, which I thought was a bit too strict. We got our room for pretty cheap. But it was also the tiniest room we've stayed in. It worked for us because we barely stayed in the room, but just a caption to those who want to do what we did. The bathroom door was tricky to open because it almost touched the bed, and would also block the "hallway".

Good budget hotel and good value for the price. It was a clean, well laid out room (despite being small), and walking distance to the metro. A three star hotel for sure, but not in a bad way. Some downsides for our stay would be the uncomfortable bed and thin walls (lacking sound proofing).

You Get What You Pay For Given the price of lodging in London, a cheap price per night does not give you much. Place was clean. My single room was tiny. Just keep saying; "I'm saving money." Location is good. Easy connection to Paddington Station (Heathrow Express) via the Royal Oak tube station. Two other tube stations close as is Kennsington Garden. Local shopping streets in either direction from the hotel. I like that in a hotel location. Basic uninspired continental breakfast in yes a small breakfast room. I had no problem with noise.

Great location, quiet, very clean, but a tiny single bed room with separate bathroom. Admittedly, I ordered a single bed room but didn't expect to go down the stairs. But the price of £55 (room only) is fair enough. It's near Bayswater (District and Circle line) and Queensway (Central line) tube stations. I'd certainly come back here.

Looks brilliant after its refurbishment. A great base to explore London. A few little points, TV didn't work on check in and no rooms to swap into that wouldn't mean swapping again, rooms were boiling, this was mid February and we had to have our sash window literally all the way open all night. The staff were lovely throughout with the exception of the older man who checked us out, he was rude, ignored me when I spoke to him and wouldn't even look at me. We would stay again.

We were lucky enough to have the first two days an Italian Receptionist who helped us a lot and advised what to visit. Pluspunkte sind absolut die Sauberkeit und Ordnung im Hotel. Auch die Ausstattung war okey. Ein Minuspunkt war zu einem gewissen Teil das Personal. Besonders ein älterer Herr/Besitzer? War sehr unfreundlich. Nicht wirklich gegrüßt nichtmal gelächelt. Man kann schon etwas gastgeberischer sein. Aber wichtig ist zu schließen das dieses Hotel empfehlenswert ist man kann hier definitiv hin !!
