Reviews of Great St Helen Hotel | London Liverpool Street
Absolutely perfect for a short stay in London. Rooms are small, however they provided needed comfort (wardrobe, big comfy bed, smart tv, big shower). Very reasonable price for the standard taking into account its location.
A lovely Hotel in a fabulous location with very friendly and efficient staff ... I will return
Good for an overnight on business. Great location! Close to Liverpool Street station. The rooms are small but well designed and sufficient for one or perhaps two people. The hotel is clean, well maintained and well appointed. Staff are polite and knowledgeable. checkout is 10.30. no restaurant on site so a bit of a walk for food on the evening.
Reception is good. Room is tiny but clean. Great shower. Only downside is the bed, which is placed in a corner and with no room for a normal person (I am 176cm tall and had to sleep in diagonal). Location is great.
Lovely hotel very basic rooms, no breakfast available and very small. But does the job and from the outside looks lovely.
Restaurants nearby but nothing close. Great to explore another part of London though. Worth a stay.
Very friendly staff, great location, clean and modern hotel. Only downside was the room was tiny, couldn't hang anything in the cupboard at it was too short (i couldn't even hang a tshirt in it). It's good for a single person or a one-two night stay. But this being said the room was air conditioned, which was a great bonus
Possibility the smallest room I've ever stayed in, even in London. It's smart and tidy but this is a place you stay when you've got to be right at that location. Lots of building works happening next door and constant road noise from my room but hey, this is the City and there aren't many choices here. If you need somewhere to stay, this is tidy. Nice shower and plenty of free biscuits!
This is a nice hotel. The rooms are small but considering the time spent in them it wasn't a problem. All mod cons and spotlessly clean. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from Liverpool Station and so easy access to theatre land. I particularly want to give great praise for MONICA on reception who was just so helpful to myself and my sister. We will be returning more so because of her. Thank you Monica and looking forward to seeing you next year.
Awesome Hotel!
It was our first visit in London and we really enjoyed it. The Hotel is in the centre of the city of London and not that far from the Tower Bridge, the Sky Garden and Restaurants like Jamies Italian. The hotel room was very comfortable and clean. The personal was very kind and polite. All in all there is no negative aspect about this Hotel.
Greetings from Germany!
A very compact hotel bedroom and ensuite. Modern interior. Surprisingly quiet area at night. Good location only 400 yards from Liverpool St train station and literally 50 yards from gherkin.
Helpful reception staff and convenient location, for instance for late-night arrivals from Stansted, as the hotel is only a few minutes' walk from Liverpool Street Station. St. Helen's Church nearby is worth a visit if you find it open.
The room had some design flaws too common in Britain: flashy materials but a loose tile on the bathroom floor and the shower tray didn't fully drain, so the shower head a mild smell of mould. There were no drinking glasses in the room on arrival. Notes that as of September 2019 a large construction project generates noise near the hotel.
Uber driver dropped us off at the wrong spot. Google maps was finding it difficult to locate. Walked straight past it. Not the easiest place to find. Great for being in City of London. Near the gherkin. Room small but great for our short stay.
The most sensible choice of hotel for the City of London
It was OK for 1 night but any more the room was too small could not move around easily
Lovely hotel, great staff and they are very welcoming!
Unusual hotel, no frills small rooms, barely big enough bathrooms, but clean and functional. Great for one evening while just passing through for those on a budget
Lovely rooms, friendly staff, good value for money, the only small downside is that the shower leaked across the bathroom floor and there was only one bathmat
OK and lovely place to stay overnight. Nice staff
Cozy room, very modern and stylish. Close to Liverpool Street Station which is convenient. I enjoyed our room and stay :)
This hotel is very well situated, not expensive and has its touch. Rooms are simple small yet comfortable.
Tiny rooms, small old towels . Average experience, but single advantage- in the heart of the City . Ok for biz traveling
Best point would be the location. Good beds for a properly rest and an unbeatanable location is the perfect mix for visitors.
Double Rooom was small, but well provisioned and very clean. Location for Liverpool Street is brilliant (5 minute walk). Staff were friendly and service swift. Very competitive pricing. Would recommend.
Great location. Lovely rooms and very friendly staff.
Great service, nice noise isolation in the room, convenient location for business stays
Perfect for that stay in London. Close to Liverpool and Fenchurch Street mainline stations, the Underground and Spitalfields and Borough Markets
Good clean rooms. Small though, and breakfast is not an option.
Rooms clean and helpful staff
Nice little hotel.
Great place, super location, reasonable price, clean and comfortable
Nice, clean and modern. Rooms are small though.
Very beautiful blonde at the desk. Stole my heart.💎
Fantastic location and perfect spot if you're just in the city for a day or two.
I had accompanied my husband on a work trip and we decided to stay an extra day, which is when we chose this hotel to stay our last night. It was March and extremely cold outside, and our room was just the perfect amount of warm. We got a room located in the basement - an extremely tiny room and a super small bed. Just perfect for two people actually. The staff at the reception were so friendly. They had mentioned that if you need any food/snack, it's available any time of the day and night. I ordered something to munch on late at night and the guy showed up at the door with two baskets full and said please take anything you want. This is what I call GREAT SERVICE!!! Overall, we found the hotel room to be very cozy and comfortable.
Very convenient location, comfortable warm room
Room was a bit on the small side but it was a last minute booking
Average but fine for one night
Comfy bed great shower nice room
Nice hotel and rooms. No breakfast.
This little hotel is in a good position, between Liverpool and Monument.
Great place, unexpected quite for the area
Great
Good location
Cool place
Room was quite small, but clean, modern and comfortable. Perfect for a simple business overnight stay
(Translated) Small but nice, both the hotel and the rooms 😁 BUT who knows London, also knows the terrible hotels. This is a class better than the rest in this price range, plus it is excellent. Just a pint in the pub, quickly to the metro, Liverpool station around the corner, plus a couple of Tescos, what more could you want? It's also quiet 👍🏿

Clean hotel in the center of the City. Small and very useful room
For work reasons in that area, I found this hotel, which is very new and functional. The reception is open 24 hours a day, and they are very friendly. The room has a minibar with water, some pastries, cookies for breakfast in the room itself (there is a coffee/tea maker). Everything in the minibar is included in the price. If you want to have breakfast outside the room you have to go outside, there are several places less than 1 minute walk away (for example, Pret a Manger).
The price is high for what they offer if compared to hotels in Spain, but in London and due to the location and dates it was the best there was in the area.
Small rooms, lots of work and clearly audible in the room. Own drinks and food allowed, no breakfast possible
Local hotel, 18 rooms on 3 floors with an elevator, each with a bathroom. Nice service, unfortunately no breakfast.
(Translated) A small hotel but with good rooms, the area in which I loved it and at a good price

Un hotel pequeño pero con buenas habitaciones, la zona en la que está me encantó y a un buen precio
Great place. Small rooms but very nice. Good bed, good shower.
Very well located, with metro nearby. The rooms are small but well equipped.
The room is very comfortable, clean and they also provide snacks.
I liked everything, I just don't give it 5* because they don't have breakfast service.
(Translated) Good hotel in the center of the city. Very nice people and good advice.

Bon hotel au centre de la city. Personnels très sympa et de bon conseil.
Extremely modern and stylish rooms in the hotel with plenty of space. Excellent location of the property being very close to Tower Bridge. Great price too for the capital.
Good location and good service, but the room size is tiny.
Very classy, clean and well located for a very reasonable price in this area.
Very decent room, very well located
Convenient location, clean, rooms a little small.
Charming British-style hotel in the Liverpool Street area, affordable
Great hotel in the center.
Lovely and beauty place
Great hotel. Especially the price for the centre of the city. Could not believe we could find a hotel so cheap for the centre of the city. For a weekend away, I would strongly recommend
Good location. Rooms are small but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Clean, comfortable and quiet.
Comfy bed, spotless room and bathroom. Friendly, helpful staff
Nice hotel...clean and near all landmarks ..near Liverpool tube.
