s. 9.Been there twice for breakfast and both times I was disappointed about their pastries. It doesn't taste and feel fresh at all! So I definitely won't have it again. Otherwise, the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. The restrooms definitely need much more attention!

Olivia was patient, friendly, professional and accommodating to a fault. We were very well looked after.
The chicken grilled dumplings (Gyoza) and pumpkin croquette tapas were delicious and the kitchen were able to accommodate a food allergy.

W. R.Good place if you want something simple and where to sleep. The rooms at the front are very noisy because of the cars and there is a lot of light that comes into the room through the blinds. But if you sleep like a rock this should be a bother lol
M. B.Booked this pretty last minute as a base for a concert and day out the next day. Didn’t expect it to have a really decent Japanese restaurant attached to it. Food was very reasonably priced and loads of food served. Proper nice and recommended in its own right.
The staff explained they’d used the facilities to house homeless during the pandemic and this was their first night back open to the public, and while they’d done a spruce up and inspection of the rooms just to give them a shout if anything was remiss. It wasn’t it was all fine.
The rooms have a basic sudo-industrial vibe that’s basically cheaper than kitting a room out properly but I’m alright with that vibe. You feel more like you’re washing / showering in an old school changing rooms and sleeping in the locker room, but the beds are comfy and the rooms were quiet. We were in a family suite with private bathroom so can’t comment on the shared facilities. I’d stay again.

The bar was closed when we got back from our gig but that looked cool too.
3 mins from the underground. Our room at the back had some street noise but to be expected and didn't bother me.
Bustling area near by with cafe, bars etc. Handy for Ally Pally.

J. S.Lovely chilled out place in Wood Green (believe it) that serves top class Japanese food. We had ramen and tempura and all was so fresh, straight out the kitchen. Lovely staff brought us more food when they made a small mistake. Ramen was deep and complex and nutritious with various noodles, pickled veg and tasty tofu chunks. Cheap too. Highly recommend for somewhere off the beaten track.
D. G.I’m so glad that on Valentine’s Day, a day in which every place was fully booked, I stumbled into Green Rooms. And what a happy coincidence!
The food was priced well, and tasted amazing. There was a long wait for the food but I was well informed this would be the case, and in the end it was well worth the wait.
The great food was also accompanied by good customer service. Overall very happy with my service.
M. B.What you see is what you get. For the price it's good enough, rooms aren't small and basic. Bed was comfortable. Shower and restrooms are separate, hostel style. It was clean but when you shower the water doesn't keep flowing, you have to keep pushing. I booked a room including breakfast but they said it wasn't included. Confusing as I've read comments from other people experiencing the same problem. The bar area is nice and modern, love their style. Breakfast menu has plenty of choice. Good connection to the tube, only a 5 min walk. Would stay again if I have to be in the area.

o.I have never stayed in the hotel as i live in the area, however i come here to indulge their Japanese food or have a drink. Their ice coffee is delicious. The staff friendly, atmosphere lovely i feel like im In New York when i go here. I did once though have a not very nice meal, only the once and i have eaten here a lot, however they rectified it right away, it did not put me off going back due to how they handled the situation. Normally i would not return but like i said, we are not perfect mistakes happened and they dealt with it very professionally which highly impressed me. I love this place its like a little get away from the craziness of Wood Green.They have cosy seats to sit in and have a drink a bevy and mingle. I know they have event nights but i have not been to any i will though one day. I highly recommend this little gem in the heart of Wood Green. If people are coming from out of town, then its a good place to stay as the Tube station it 2 minutes away, all amenities around and night bus 29 is a regular bus runs from WG to Camden to Tragalgar Square so its a good base. Tube ride is like 25 minutes into the west end and heathrow airport is on the piccadilly line so its super easy to get to this place. Lots of local Turkish food and Alexander Palace which is up the road and has great views of the City night line, a lovely park and has lots of activities going on up there.

J. “. B.I wasn’t expecting a great deal from this hotel. It was cheap and we needed somewhere to stay. I really enjoyed my stay here, I think this place offers really good value for money.
We stayed in a family room with its own bathroom. The room was clean with everything you could need. The beds were super comfortable and there wasn’t any noise keeping you awake late at night.
There is a bar attached to the hotel, serving a good selection of beers and spirits, and a restaurant. We only ate breakfast but it was delicious.
The whole place has an arty, cool vibe with vintage furniture and trendy light fittings.
If you’re going to Alexandra Palace or similar you can do a lot worse than stay here.

O. Z.The best place to stay on budget, beautifully designed lobby, I stayed in a single room, which was lovely, with vintage furniture and comfortable bed. The shared toilets were clean and accessible. The location is perfect, right across the road from the tube station, Piccadilly line. Great stay! It's a pity they were fully booked so I stayed only one night.
J. A.Very basic rooms but a very good price for the area. Shower facilities aren't very modern, its some type of pump action shower in which you keeo pressing a button to keep the water going.
Restaurant/bar downstairs is very nice, good place to relax during the day to do a little work and have a drink/food on the evening. We paid £87 for two nights and would not definitely stay again for that price.
n. p.The green rooms are shabby chic with nice atmosphere comfy seating, Ihaven't tried the hotel so I can only talk about the main area on the ground floor. worth stopping in and trying it for yourself. Two coffees cost £4.70p
G. P.Our stay there was short but really fun! It's a cosy place with, it's true, bad insonorisation but it didn't bother us at all! Our second breakfast was cancelled due to a private event, that's not a problem, we wanted to go eat outside. But it would've been great to know it a bit earlier... Whatever I got refunded in a sec! J. T.Amazing place to stay inbetween a hotel and a hostel I'd say. Staff are really friendly, rooms very clean. Has a really chilled vibe about it hipsterish I'd say. The food there was really good and so was the coffee. Comfortable seating area at the front too. They also have pop up restaurants every now and then, they had a Japanese one when I was there. Events such as art expeditions too . Definitely would stay again if in the area
N. P.Great local business. Stones throw from wood green Station. A work vibe in the cafe during the day. The bar is decent.. They are currently serving Nigerian food on their menu which is refreshing for this hostel. However, I ordered 5 dishes from the menu and it is far from authentic. I understand it's been tailored for western pallet but even so, it's low on seasoning. It's a shame because Nigerian cuisine is full of taste and delicious. But do try yourself. Just understand that you will not be getting a taste of Nigeria.
M. D. R.Loooved it. The common room is super cost and we were able to stay, eat some food we bought and have a chat with some other guests late at night. Bathrooms are OK, there's not that many showers but we had no trouble getting in so I guess they were enough. The bunk beds are comfortable and spacious and some more privacy than with regular ones. They all have a mirror and a lamp with plugs. The towels are complimentary. Only thing I missed was a decent kitchen to cook, there's just a fridge and a microwave in the corridor and not cutlery.

It would have been good to have bins emptied, toiletries replaced and towels changed. Other than that, no complaints. Very lovely people and good prices. Very convenient location too

c.Been here a couple of times. The first time was a meeting, loved the place. The 2nd time was drinks and grub with my sister. The food was impressive. We had a chicken curry and it was way better than expected. When I'm in Wood Green. This place has become my first choice.

T. B.By far my favourite place in Wood Green. They always have a great menu with what seems an independent pop up restaurant/chef in the kitchen, and they change the menu usually every 3 months which keeps it interesting. Ive tried the Greek and the Japanese menu and they’re fairly priced and fantastic quality. You’ll often see self employed business starts ups coming in for a coffee and cracking out some work. It has a wonderful vibe about the place. They don’t have a TV so no sports, but it wouldn’t suit the place anyways...there’s other pubs in Wood Green for that. It’s my go to bar to chill, get some work done or have a few beers with friends.

H. C.I haven't stayed in the hotel, but the Japanese restaurant at the Green Rooms is very good indeed. Casual, modern atmosphere, great music and excellent ramen. There are not many vegetarian options, but the ones we tried were really tasty.

Beautifully styled, super friendly staff and great coffee (a good sign!). Best of all their 'incubator' restaurant is great for local chefs but fantastic for customers who can try and different menu every so often.
I had the most delicious Colombian food last weekend and took my friends back the next day.

J. G.Just got married at the green rooms on Saturday, was the most amazing day! The staff went above and beyond, I couldn’t have asked for more. The gallery where we had our reception is such an amazing space, all of our guests commented on how lovely the hotel is. It’s amazing value for money for what you get! The people are lovely and I couldn’t recommend it more highly! If you are looking to have a party, a wedding reception in north london this is the place to go! Thank you green rooms for helping make our special day go down so well! Violette you are an absolute star!
E. A.Fantastic location and price on a transit hub, but hard to get a good night's sleep.
For perspective, I was traveling for work, and when that was over I had to switch hotels. I wanted something cheap (basically a place to keep my stuff safe while I hit the sites) that was reasonably close to the city. On that front it fit the bill. However, it did come with serious downsides.
Pros:
Right on the metro
Bus hub is right outside
Price
Courteous staff
Restaurant and bar downstairs
Tons of restaurants, grocery stores and shops nearby
Cons:
Constant loud noise:
- Buses from hub run all night and are loud
- Floors creak so loud you hear all your neighbors as they come and go
- A party on the third floor went until midnight and my room on the first floor was shaking
- the hotel is flanked by two bars so there were several drunk fights outside my window from 1-3 am
Rooms were very hot. The only way to cool it was to open the window, which just made the noise worse
Some of the rooms didn't have toilets and showers in them. I must've missed that on the booking site. Wasn't expecting that. It's not a factor in my rating because this is probably my oversight, but this is your notice.
Sleep is important to me, so that's why this gets a 3.
O. B.Second time I've come in here and been told they're not serving food today (on two different days of the week). Admittedly they were different food pop ups, but I can't see anywhere on your current one that it say no food on Mondays...please at least put this somewhere obvious on the menu.
Food itself, when I have managed to get it, was decent. Staff aren't the best (seem to not know how to make fairly popular cocktails), when I asked if someone could please bring my drink over as I had my stuff in a seat already, I just received a vacant stare and was told I had to pay first...

The rooms are nice, comfortable and we'll designed, but with communal bathrooms, which are unusual in the UK.

Whilst a cheap room for the night it was so noisy outside ALL night that sleeping was difficult, beds comfy. Breakfast was a bit odd and staff member was not particularly helpful.

R.For a Japanese Resturant it foesnt appear to be very atmospheric, and the food was meh nothing special but still nothing terrible or unedible. Staff couldve been a bit more polite but other than that it was a fairly dead average resturant.
L. G.This has been my fourth stay at the green rooms, and it just gets better all the time. I sometimes like to travel to London to see the galleries and in his hotel I feel comfortable by myself.Just opposite the Woodgreen tube station and lots of local shops. I can chill out in the hotel bar with a book in one of the lovely retro armchairs..and a glass of wine of course. The choice of breakfasts is amazing; each breakfast relates to an art movement..ha ha. I went for the 'classic' British fry up this time, bit hey what..may try the surrealist one next time. The Green rooms is always a highlight in my London visits.

J. I.What a little piece of coolness and style in what is Wood Green! Toilets are very grim and unkempt though. Unisex toilets, although inclusive are not practical when only one is working. There should be 3 - M, F and U. Whilst the bar was stylish with great arty décor, a relaxed energy with lovely staff, I can only compare the toilets to a those found in a sticky floored, cheap drink, student club. When toilets are dirty like they were I struggle to eat in a place that also serves food and this menu looked very tempting.
M. F.Trendy cafe by today with delicious coffees, trendy bar at night with Popup kitchen which lasts a few months. The ambience is relaxing and modern and the forniture mid century. The food we tried was delicious and the staff is very friendly. Finally a place like this in Wood Green. J.I visited for the first time yesterday and sampled the Columbian belly pork and cassava chips....Yummylicious......It's a wonderful trendy place with random leather settees and bookcase , so lovely and wood green is truly blessed to have this unique venue. The young lady on reception was very friendly and spent over 20 minutes giving me information about the hotel and also info on new year's Eve in London. She was a Look chick and had me in stitches.....So yes..This is the place to go even if it's just to view the art works on the walls there..... Wonderful
J. S.The rooms were basic (no tv) but clean and modern. The canadadian lady on the bar and reception was lovely. The guy with glasses and long hair stopped it been 5 star. He was quite rude and hopeless
M. D.I chose Green Rooms as I was going to an event at the nearby Alexandra Palace, but it's pretty well located for visiting central London too - it's about 20 mins from King's Cross on the tube. Wood Green is a lively area, with bars, restaurants, cinema etc nearby, plus parks & a weekend farmers' market. Rooms are tasteful but simple, with vintage furniture and wood flooring. No TV or radio, but good (free) wifi. Not all rooms have en suite bathrooms, though mine did - it was clean, spacious and well designed, with that rarest of things, a decent shelf in the shower stall to put your shampoo etc on! All those wood floors, plus the ground floor bar, mean it's not the quietest, but I didn't find that a huge issue (and anyway I always pack earplugs for city hotels!)

A. C.Large, quirky, relaxed bar with easy chairs, sofas and books. Ok prices (for London). The vibe is more Dalston than Wood Green, but with fewer beards. Quiet on a Saturday night when there are no live events. I expect it's a lot busier when they have live music, DJ sets, stand up etc.

Only criticism is when we visited on the weekend evening, the music was excessively loud, and a group of 6 of us had to leave due to headaches - even after asking the bar staff/DJ to turn it down several times.

A. G.Needs some brighter Carpeting or something like that on the floor. I liked the serenity I liked the lower lighting. Good customer service and attention (namastai Sheila) the whole place was very good. An oasis of calm and collectedness, in the centre of the bustle of Wood Green. It would be very useful for the customer... To maybe have a tfl BusStops relay. Ti let us know if there might be a bus on the way... If we are caught up in a Restful Wayz of peaceful location and focus on the internal. I thought so.
Might not be in keeping with the ethos of the places.
Otherwise overall good luck place, London*~ it's worth a pilgrimage to visit this lovely Japanese inspired Teahse/Cafe/Restaurant.

P. J.Has ornately decorated rooms for meetings. Unfortunately the toilets on the second floor are peculiar. In both senses of the word. They are unisex-nothing unusual about that. But, inside the toilet there are two toilet cubicles-one male and one female. With glass doors and a gap in the adjoining wall at the top between the two. There are more traditional loos on the first floor. I would've taken a photo but if caught what explanation could I give?

N. L.I would have given this place five stars but how can you be so perfect and not have a descent WiFi connection? This place has amazing food, coffee, Persian carpets, rocking chairs, large wooden tables with desk work lamps which makes it so perfect and cosy for those of us who like to work from coffee shops, but the WiFi connection is so slow that I had to leave on two occasions because I just had to get my work done. The menu changes every week and you get new chefs promoting their cuisine from their kitchen and I happened to visit when there was Nigerian food.... Oh my oh my... The chicken was so full of taste and it had a kick to it even though it wasn't slathered in any sauce. How the hell did you do that? The plantains were good, a bit mushy but good and the jelof rice was ok, not great. It was very, very dry and like it had been sitting out for 4 hours before it got served to us. The mocha was out of this world and I liked their little cake with the sesame seeds on top. Unfortunately, I won't be going back until they improve their internet connection - that has to be sorted ASAP, esp for a place with such big tables and work lamps.
M. P.The reception area is also a bar and restaurant. The current restaurant theme is Japanese style tapas and light meals. The bar is well stocked and there is a mixture of seating.

Makes it extremely unique and had a lovely atmosphere as we enjoyed an arts quiz by Cassie and fabulous singing by " SOOZ " and some great Chicago dancing by another female performer called Margo Marshall.
