Reviews of Holiday Inn Express London Chingford-Nth Circular, an IHG Hotel
I know it's a Holiday Inn but they gave us 5 Star treatment. A really special thanks to the receptionist LIBIN!!! Who helped us pull off a surprise, we could not have done any of it without her, she went over and beyond, was also really quick and efficient when we discovered a problem with our room a true professional. The hotel itself is in a prime location close to all amenities. The room was comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised that breakfast was so good with a small but great selection to choose from including vegetarian/vegan sausages! An all round comfortable stay. Highly recommended
Nice hotel close to Excel but not stupidly priced, right next to supermarket. The room was clean and food good. But the staff were excellent very friendly and helpful an very nice stay, Thanks
Our room was beautiful and clean and provided everything you could need for an overnight stay.
Soft drinks were very expensive at the bar - best to use the shop next door!
Double check any times you are given at check in as we didn’t and ended up missing out on the breakfast that was included in the cost of our ur stay.
Some staff go above and beyond.
Warm and pleasant reception with prompt service. Aside a little difficulty in finding a parking space, the room was clean with the linen smelling fresh. Altogether made a comfortable stay .
Handy hotel for visiting my brother in Enfield and for travelling into central London next day. Secure safe free car park. Nice staff comfortable room and good breakfast.
Reception was as expected on arrival and room conveniently allocated on Ground Floor. However, room cleanliness was not up to usual standard with sweet paper on the floor and the shower / Toilet not properly cleaned. Breakfast spoiled by long wait for bacon and staff somewhat disinterested, e.g. delay in clearing tables.
Holiday Inn is my first choice of hotel, but on this occassion I was unhappy there was no eggs available on the breakfast menu. There was an insufficient amount of condiments in the room, luckily the chambermaid was in the hallway and gave us more from her trolley.
Night time staff need to cheer up and improve their customer service skills. A young lady (Binule?) at breakfast was extremely helpful
5 🌟🌟🌟🌟 wen done the check in ,in September 5 months later I'm still here because absolutely loved the place ,all you need to just ask for and they really do that extra mile every single time for the guest Very friendly staff from one end too another but in special some of them like Cris ,Konrad ,Libin,Selin,Sham,Idris, they are on my top off the list for me they never disappoint me again 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 don't have enough stars for this lot I think it's the best hotel in the area if I will work on the area again I will definitely stay on this place with pleasure hope I will 🤞thank you very much everybody hope I wil see you soon keep doing what you know the best you doing great job 👍👍👍👍👍 thanks
Clean, comfortable room. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.
The hotel is in a great location although is a little dated. Good parking availability.
The bar doesn’t have many drinks available, but again staff are helpful.
As usual I really enjoyed my stay at this Holiday Inn Express. The only thing was that the dishwasher broke down and the first day that this happened, it was a bit chaotic at breakfast, with only wooden cutlery available initially. By the …
Reception service is quick and effective
Rooms are neat and clean with access to a fully functional TV and coffee/tea. Very comfy bed
Good breakfast options in the morning : Full English + continental
The premises on which the hotel is located is clean and safe with ample parking. I loved the drinks on display in the reception too. Bar is open till 2am for the guests.
Around 10 mins car ride from Walthamstow station. Busy traffic though at Peak Hours. I did struggle to get an Uber at 8.30 in the morning
Coming into Walthamstow by bus you could miss the Holiday Inn Express but that would mean that you would have missed the best hotel in the area. It is within an easy walk from the bus stop opposite the Walthamstow Greyhound Stadium(now …
The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean as was my room. Covid rules were adhered to in dining room and breakfast was adequate and plenty of it. Housekeeping have done an excellent job here in this difficult pandemic.
Lovely comfy bed with good quality bedding. Room was very clean, there was a broken facia below the TV but it must be very difficult to get things sorted when they don't know if they are open or closed with the lockdowns, and are on reduced staffing.
Generally great place, very clean and tidy. Helpful staff and friendly atmosphere. The cleaner was lovely aswell. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because the breakfast was rubbish!
Be warned pool closes for kids at peak times so 12-2 and after 5 is forbidden. Kids and only swim 9-12 2-5. Wish they would say that in prominent place on website. Other than that good food in restaurant. Still using covid guidelines for breakfast and is poor quality.
We chose this hotel for convenience. Checking in was quick with no problems. This is when I noticed other guests walking in and out of the front door not wearing masks. There was clearly a sign at the entrance saying masks must be worn. This needs to be more rigorously enforced. The room was nice enough. There was iron and board, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. The shower was lovely. Bed was adequate. My wife didn’t sleep brilliantly. Also noisy neighbours and a dog barking during the night was annoying. There was a sodden wet carpet in our room (216) right under the air conditioning unit. Breakfast was poor. Just sausage or bacon rolls in paper bags. And cereal. I know that there we’re coming out of a pandemic. But a little more thought with regard to breakfast. I stayed in Holiday Inn Express in Brighton last month and a hot breakfast was still available. Dished up by a staff member. But still loads better. Car parking is ample. Staff were good. Would stay here again.
Also I left a pair of sunglasses in my room on check out. I contacted the hotel a couple of days later and they managed to find them for me. Thanks for that.
Was a night away with my mum for a little break and also see some family. Hotel is in the ideal place close to various places and easy to get to. Was a nice easy night
This hotel offered us a good, budget stay near my parents house where we could not stay due to COVID. We were a little bit nervous about the safety of our car as there seemed to be a number of idiots doing doughnuts in the Sainsbury’s car park right next to the hotel.
The checking in was swift and done well and the room was very clean and comfortable. Our only disappointment was that the bed, though a double as stated, was a lot smaller than we had become used to in hotels.
Breakfast was very nice with as much as you wanted and the ability to take it away if required.
Room good apart from a very noisy cistern in the bathroom. We have stayed here 3 times so other than the noise got what we expected.
Didn't stay there. Hence 4 stars.
But nice staff, friendly. Clean and tidy place to stay if you needed to.
Checked in for a local conference my stay was a comfortable one I would like to have had more of a selection with the breakfast however this never hindered my enjoyable time at this hotel
Clean spacious room
Staff were helpful at check in and at breakfast each morning. Good location walking distance to the central (20mins) and next door to a large supermarket. Room was clean. Breakfast choices included the option of plant milk and dairy free bread but otherwise very limited for vegan/dairy free. However I forgot to ask in advance and maybe there are more options if you do. Staff were very helpful checking products for us and showing us packaging. Slept very well. Good value for money. We enjoyed our stay.
It is an amazing hotel, I was highly impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel and all the amenities in the room.
Check in and check out was quick. Great value for money.
Attentive, hard working and efficient staff in all departments. I look forward to my next visit. I have been staying here for over 10 years - every visit to London
Very busy hotel. Car park fills up very quickly with badly parked vans dumped everywhere. Right next to A406 so expect some road/traffic noise. Rooms clean and tidy but missing coffee, milk and spoons when I arrived, manager didn't seem very happy I was asking for more milk and and spoons. Breakfast was a typical HIE bacon and/or sausage barm with cereal, toast and croissants. The bacon and sausage seem to vary from burnt to a crisp to rubbery and cold from day to day. Just one lift so queues built up waiting to use it. I would stay here again but only if it was very very near where I was working otherwise I would try somewhere else.
Clean room not much noise very helpful staff in the reception, i would like to praise an individual her name was ZOE, when everything went bad in the kitchen i saw her running around to make things better and more easy on my stay so well …
Welcoming arrival from receptionist and security, clean, comfortable, basic room. Breakfast ok but no order so a bit hectic trying to social distance and get food as it had been set up close to the a pillar. Parking states it’s free but received a £100 fine from Parkingeye! Hotel sorted quickly, but not nice to receive it in the post!
Returned to stay in this well connected hotel, which offers a car park, great rooms, breakfast and good service. Will stay there again when we visit London.
The staff were very helpful and polite and went out of their way to accommodate us - special mention to Al- Idris and the team for making us feel so welome
The only negative is that there seems to now be vents in the windows which allows some of the roady noise from the North Circular. Overall though for the location and value for money I am happy.
It was hot when I stayed and the duvets are 10.5 tog, there are no alternatives.
The room was clean and comfortable. …
Decent size room, good bed. Reduced breakfast but perfectly adequate.
Had issue with AC on first night. Little annoyed no-one responded to phone call that night but Nadja sorted another room for me the following morning. …
Enjoyable stay, pleasure to park my car and not to have to worry about parking tickets . Good easy to get to location. Nice, pleasant reception staff.
Bedroom could have been warmer, blankets would be great.
On the whole a nice and I would definitely stay again. I love Hiliday Inn hotels 99% of my stays have been great.
The staff were welcoming friendly and helpful. The booking in process was quick and simple. We were given a room where we had requested. The bed was very comfortable and once we worked out how to control the heating the temperature of the room was just right. The room was clean and so was the carpet. (Having previously had a bad experience of dirty carpets in another holiday Inn). The breakfast although it was a take back to your room breakfast was varied and sufficient. Overall our stay was very enjoyable.
Took them five attempts before I got what I asked for in the way of beds. One bedroom had flood, carpets were sodden.
In another bedroom, the sheets were really damp. Finally, it took five attempts …
Bad hotel all together - unwelcoming from the very start to finish. Didn’t inform us of breakfast times, if food was available when we arrived, departure time, didn’t ask if we wanted a second key for the room or asked anything about our journey for example.
The room was disappointing - very small bed, stained sink, bad walls with marks all over them, rubbish not taken from the room as we stayed two nights.
Food on the first night was very poor service - we order 2 drinks, tomato soup to start, a burger and a pizza (limited choices) and that came to £50. Waited over an hour still with no food - went to enquire and a lady came to my table with a pizza asking if that’s what we ordered - I said my partner had but we had ordered soup to start and I ordered a burger. She then told me they had run out of burgers and wasn’t aware of the soup order. So I had to have the pizza and they made another one for my partner - I then managed to get another drink although technically I was out of pocket as we had already paid for the soup and didn’t get it.
Breakfast very limited choice again
Parking was extra and for 48 hours cost £14
Overall a very disappointing hotel and visit - would not recommend.
Stayed for a couple of nights as close to a nearby essential training course.
Clean hotel. Good pandemic protocols in place. Provided with breakfast, which …
Staff very polite and helpful room was tired such as the carpet was all bubbling and looked dirty. Cleanliness of the room was good breakfast was included in the price and was adequate.
Pros - free parking, friendly helpful staff, comfortable sleep, breakfast was ok.
Cons - (literally picking at stuff here) No Samsung TV to connect phone via WiFi. There are some in other rooms so if your staying for while would request this if need be. Was not told about 24hour drink and food bar. Room cards kept playing up to give access to my room.
I fully enjoyed my stay and all staff were great. Relaxed and was able to work in peace.
The room is clean and spacious and although facing onto the traffic it was surprisingly quiet. Great mattress, pillows, quilt and linen very good. Breakfast included made this great value for money. Bacon or roll on sausage with a vegetarian option and the croissants are to die for with a great selection of cereals, yoghurt and fresh fruit i was impressed. Good parking for disabled drivers and free for all guests is a bonus in London. Right next to sainsburys for anything you need and a cheap fuel garage. Only reason I knocked off a point was because of a constant drine noise in the room which I think comes from the aircon which I didn't have on in my room but other than that it was perfect.
This is an excellent place to stay. I was made to feel very welcome. Ample parking. Easy check in. Room very clean and everything you need for a relaxing stay. I didn't eat breakfast there which was included only because both days I slept in. Im sure the food would of been ample and also of good standard.. Will definitely be staying there again.
Thankyou.
Lovely hotel. Very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay here.
I stayed at the hotel for over five weeks because my flat nearby had a water leak, which meant I couldn't stay there. During my time at the hotel, the staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating, especially the Manager who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The room was clean and had all the facilities you would expect, including an air conditioning unit, which was appreciated during the heatwave we had. The breakfast was great. You had your cooked English breakfast, range of cereals, and breads such as croissants to choose from. There was also a dinner menu with a range of different meals (ideal if you're arriving late). It was always quiet during the night. I would definitely recommend this hotel and this is coming from someone who stayed here for a considerable time, given my situation.
Really lovely staff with a warm welcome on arrival. Lots of sanitiser available. Clean quiet room. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
As ever, you know what you are getting at Holiday Inn Express. A pleasant polite welcome at reception and a clean comfortable room that you can regulate the heat in.
The bar service was good and food arrive very quickly and was hot. Breakfast is a little less efficient, as the breakfast baps do tend to be a little hard from being out in the open air a while, but the choice of hot food is good.
Great hotel amazing breakfast and customer service especially from a nice young lady Libin who went above and beyond for us and handled herself with professionalism :) despite female staff member in hoodie actively talking on the phone behind her not helping as she done the job of two people at once bar and reception.
Amazing and friendly staff. The hotel is clean and tidy and the room service is brilliant. Adding a few menu options would really make the hotel a very good option for people like myself who stay for longer periods of time.
This is the second time we have stayed here and will definitely be our regular hotel on visiting family in nearby Chingford.
Everything was made easy for someone with walking difficulties, as in blue badge parking right outside entrance door, facilities such as checkin, bar and restaurant and toilet facilities all on ground floor level. Rooms spacious and very clean as was our bathroom. Highly recommend this particular hotel.
