I stayed with my grandson. Great location just around the corner from High Street Kensington tube station. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Plenty of choice at the buffet breakfast, all lovely except for the sausages. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The only negative is a twin room is very small but really if you are in London you only need it to shower and sleep in. Good value for money would definitely stay again

The beds are amazing. Great sleep. Small bathrooms. Sufficient bedrooms. Phone system was down. Long lines for front desk. Had an issue with my card being deactivated for my room then tho I had late checkout.

Great experience at this Holiday Inn. I arrived pretty early knowing my room would not be ready however was able to leave my luggage in their holding room until it was, leaving me to explore hands free. The hotel staff are very helpful. I couldn't find my hand sanitiser in my bags and the gentleman that took my bags also came back with hand sanitiser I hand not asked him for, which I thought was very generous of him. The hotel was nicely decorated for this time of year. Quick check in. Although there are two lifts, they are small. The rooms were clean complete with sitting area, fridge, bath/shower, iron/ironing board and hair dryer.

I stayed at this hotel for 8 days. In that time:
1. The bar options, food, and drinks were great.
2. The breakfast is amazing. I actually miss it right now. …

It was good because I was with my partner, but the experience was a bit disappointing. The biggest issue is the leisure access, only swimming pool available (and only half of it as the other half they use for swimming lessons for the kids), and steam room that is inside the changing room (so you can’t enjoy it with your partner). Jacuzzi and spa out of order, and from the other comments I assume has been a while since are not working. I called the same day to the reception to confirm everything and nobody informed me of that, also is not provided that info while booking. The room was smaller than described and the restaurant for dinner was closed so they use the pub/bar area with very uncomfortable seats to eat. The breakfast for instance was in the restaurant area, buffet, and quite satisfactory. The staff is nice too, however I don’t think I will be coming back.

Stayed here on a Saturday night, it was very busy but the staff dealt with the reception queue extremely efficiently. Room was compact but very comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for exploring Kensington and Knightsbridge and …

Nice and central! High St Kensington - small London sized rooms! But lovely and clean…bumped into soccer clubs training, fight crews coming and going!
You could sit in the lobby and watch people ALL day! Starbucks is AMAZING! I know that is not why we travel! But it HELPS. Recommended for anyone who likes to come downstairs from the room and find hustle and bustle! It really works. They have big conference rooms and a fabulous gum! Walk to transport and Sloane Square for eats and parties and shopping!

Hotel is situated in a good spot and easy to reach from tube station. This stay we reported a issue with the TV as a 3rd of the screen was missing. As like before on our stay when a bulb was flickering in the bathroom over the mirror this …

Just off Kensington high street so close to shops. We got good value for money, the room was clean and fresh, the window was open when we arrived. Showers were nice and hot and powerful. The friendly staff were always on hand to offer help and assisted me with a computer problem( phew) they helped with cases etc. The pool was clean but the hot tub was off for cleaning and the sauna was off too the steam room was very nice though. The hotel also has a costa down stairs too.

The only downside of my stay were the pillows. Requested specific pillows during check in as I know I can't sleep with hard pillows. However they were never delivered. Had an awful first night. However, they were quickly brought to my room …

Fantastic hotel.
Some people are out off staying in a holiday inn because of the brand (at least in the North anyway) but this is a brilliant hotel in a fantastic location. You get what you pay for - great facilities, nice rooms, good views (if you get lucky like us!) and I will absolutely be staying again.

An IHG hotel which lives up to expectations. Well located, close to Kensington high street and the tube, it made it easy for us to get out and about. The hotel pool was the highlight - best hotel pool I’ve been to in a long time! …

Although rooms are a bit small, at least their clean and have what you need, you can’t beat the location.
One of the best parts of my stays is getting my coffee severed by the cheeriest, happy person employed by Holiday Inn. Ali is truly one of the best in the hotel, It’s such a joy to start my day off with a coffee, croissant and a great smile and a little conversation with Ali in the mornings. Although most of the staff at the hotel are helpful, Ali by far exceeds just your normal customer service. See you on my next trip.

Visited twice now. Nice clean rooms. Enjoyable buffet breakfast. More than helpful staff. The front desk man who was there throughout the night made our stay so much more welcoming due to his kindness and service. The only fault was the dinner. Had to wait hours for simple dishes. A 7year old child was forced to eat at 11pm after waiting over 3 hours for food. 2 out of 3 of the pizza’s ordered were burnt.

Excellent hotel! The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is great with a lot of options. Swimming pool and gym are great. The room was a bit small but clean, silent and comfy. The bed was great. The location is excellent. Nothing negative to point out, only positives.
M. A.
Greeted by a very friendly staff member, which help with bags. The ambiance of the hotel was inviting to the guests. I could notice the Covid measures implemented by the hotel. A pleasant visit.
A. C.
Since COVID end have lost their service and understanding of what hospitality is. Shame that top management forget that also. Have stayed here many times before Covid and since then twice. Now will be booking another hotel. For my next stays in London.

A fairly modest hotel in an ideal location just off Kensington High Street. I'd however manage ones expectations of the standard of quality within the hotel rooms. A point to highlight the most is the 'double' beds as advertised online are actually 2 single beds put together. Worse off the bed mattress themselves are not firm at all and let your body sink right through them. So a good night's sleep is near impossible. Coupled with a few 'noisy neighbours' in the surrounding rooms that added to a "peaceful night's sleep" (caution user experience may very depending if you go during a busy holiday season or quiet period). If however you can get through that, then everything else going for the double room we stayed in was satisfactory.
There is a swimming pool and gym, however both are managed separately from Holiday Inn, which was a surprise as it was advertised online that these amenities come included with any hotel room selection. The gym is free to access whereas the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi cost £10 a day per person.
I would caution other visitors that this Holiday Inn branch is not a '4-star hotel' as portrayed from the average Google reviews. So if you do plan to stay here, be mindful and adjust your expectations. Otherwise you may come up heavily disappointed.

Pros: Clean room and friendly staff, good location and nice breakfast.
Cons: Pool was dirty, moss growing on the floor and wall inside the pool and had way too much chlorine in it, jacuzzi was out of service due to “cleaning”.
Out of all the lifts in the building they only had 2 working on a very busy weekend so queues in the staircase and for the lifts throughout the day!
C.
Steff was one of thee most accommodating front desk hosts I've ever worked with. Rooms were a little small, but got the job done for providing a roof while staying in London. Overall, great experience.
A. B.
Nice hotel and easy to get to from underground station. Lobby and dining area very well presented, and great breakfast. Only reason I haven't left 5 stars is because I asked at the bar for some water to take back to the room. I was charged £4.65 for it. I think after spending nearly £300 to stay at the hotel, then being charged nearly £5 for water is a little bit nighty.

I would like to thank Harriet on reception. And joanna in house keeping . My family stayed at the hotel just before Christmas to celebrate our daughters birthday. Wen we left she realised she had left a bag of presents in the room. I phoned straight away and spoke to Harriet who contacted joanna in house keeping and the bag was found . Luckily my parents are staying at the hotel so the bag was given to them and will be returned to my daughter. So a big thanks to you lady's for your help and honesty . Many thanks x

Went as a group all put on the 8th floor . View was awful looking through a filthy window dirty net curtain that didn't fit the window.single bed was very small and uncomfortable so we're the pillows. 1 tea bag had to ask for more . Not enough lifts. Staff on reception were not organised and some down right miserable. Breakfast good lots of choice and the staff were lovely . Not a lot of face covering and not challenged if not wearing one. Loved our trip to London but won't stay there again.

Clean room, everything you could expect. However communal areas don't ever really get cleaned, been here 3 days and items I have seen laying on the floor in hallways are still there - including a small baggie...
Just went down to the bar to get a drink and Richard the manager behind downstairs bar is belittling employees infront of customers and dismissing another employee that needed help. The floor staff look miserable as they're trying to console customers

The hotel was in a brilliant location for all tourist attractions and bars and restaurants. It was clean and the staff were helpful. We didn't eat in the hotel as we only stayed one night, but the restaurant looked good. Lovely little cafe in Wright Street for breakfast. Would re visit and recommend
f.
Room and bathroom was very clean, comfy bed and hot shower. Overall a little bit on the small side but that's to be expected in a city centre. Helpful and kind staff, and also handy that it's down the road from the Tube.
However, food service was terrible, over an hour wait to be served for tea. Most of the lifts are out of order so it's a nightmare trying to get anywhere, and the room cleaning isn't great.
A. R.
Room was tiny but great facilities and really clean! Staff was really friendly and nice décor, tube is right outside hotel and also Kensington high-street.
B. J.
Pretty good 4-star hotel. Excellent location and quite clean.
Super busy during check-in/check-out hours. If you need the lift during this time, especially to/from the parking, be ready to wait 15 minutes or so!

The staff are nice. The guy in starbox in lobby is fantastic. The pool is dirty and was full of kids. I guess there was a class going on.
The room was too small. No laundry bag.
Breakfast was ok but coffee is beyond bad. A sip of pond water is more drinkable.
Location is the best with no doubt!
Overall not too bad for London!

We stayed for 1 night and it was very pleasant. Staff were accommodating and welcoming. I do think that the Spa facilities should be included in the price of the room. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here for 1 night for an awards ceremony with work. Room was small, but had everything I needed. Check-in was slow, but it was a Friday evening. Room was clean, but starting to look a little tatty round the edges with a few stains on the carpet. Good location though with friendly staff.
S.
Exceptionally clean room, friendly helpful staff and an overall great experience. Check in and out was a breeze, food was really good and the leisure facilities were a bonus too. All in all, a much needed relaxing break.

I was a bit worried after reading reviews but we had no issues check in was 15 mins but we were lucky with timing as queue was huge after that, breakfast was lovely.
Perfect location.
Room bit on the small side but clean nicely presented and value for money. I would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel, not bad, not great.
Rooms are OK, breakfast good.
Indoor pool always too busy to use, had to go at 6:30am to guarantee entry.
Didn't use the bar as it was so bland and had no outdoor area, instead went around the corner to the Devonshire pub, which I recommend.
As I said, not bad but not somewhere I'd revisit.
W. A.
The hotel was fine, but the bed was uncomfortable and that's a big one. Their only breakfast was a very expensive "buffet". We often had to wait for service and there was no coffee supplied for the coffee maker in the room. And, we paid quite bit for our room. We were not impressed. It was clean and convenient to where we needed to go so that was a plus
H.
The hotel room was nice and a decent size. The bedding was absolutely amazing. I slept so well and the bed was the comfiest hotel bed I’ve slept in for a long time!
A. A.
I usually stay at a holiday inn no matter where I go because the service and rooms are consistent. Unfortunately this hotel was far under par. Many broken things (elevators/hot tub), very small rooms, price/quality didn’t line up at all, and reception was constantly too busy
C. G.
The hotel was clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the heating in the room so they moved us to another room.
L. M.
Good location. Nice room. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Short staffed. No housekeeping on our stay but didn't bother us. Good breakfast. Swimming pool. Would stay again.

Bought a Groupon promo for 2 days 1 night, came with free late checkout which was very handy for us. Hotel was large and clean, baggage storage service was excellent. Breakfast buffet had a nice selection and large spacious eating area. Did not get to use the pool and gym, it was quite busy and we didn't felt too comfortable in times of a pandemic of such. The only 'complain' if I have to come up with one, is that there isnt any nearby stores like Tesco Express or Sainsbury to grab some snacks or drinks at night. The lift was quite small and sometimes stop at every single floor. Otherwise, pleasant experience.
Z.

Upsides: Location, hotel facilities and hotel staff.
Downsides: Small room and lack of variety in the breakfast.
Overall: Very good

Check in experience was terrible, had to wait 30 mins to be seen (one person on the desk) and even then the card keys for the room didn’t work which required two trips down so may have even been 45 minutes just to get to our room!
Luckily though everything else was perfect after that, would love to visit again as the stay was nice but I can’t bring myself to go through that queue at check in again.

This was my return visit to this hotel after the first visit, was not as expected, which I brought to the management's attention, it was on the first weekend after Covid restrictions were lifted so the hotel deserved some slack, the management asked me to give them a second chance to right the various wrongs so I agreed to write my review after my 2nd visit. WELL they had Certainly made changes to the good and listened to its customers, the check in was still a bit slow, but was greatly improved. Lifts were all working, and the breakfast was good and plentiful, worth the money if you can eat a large breakfast. The staff were smiling and very helpful, especially Ali, who works in Costa, he is a credit to the hotel. Overall I had a good 2nd visit and based on this I would return, enjoyed the Spa greatly, very relaxing. Due to the changes I would highly recommend this hotel however I would encourage them to work on the check in process,. hence 4 stars.A big thank you to Nathan., keep up the good work.
D. C.
The room was great with a very comfortable bed but the bathroom had no soap which especially in Covid times is a bit weird. Checking in went well too and the staff is friendly. We had two incidents though and sadly, other guests had the same experience in the past and present:
1. In our first night, the firealarm in our room went off twice - randomly, out of nowhere.
2. On the day of us leaving, the room service tried to enter even though we could clearly be heard talking in the room.
In the lobby we encountered many people who had various complaints here and there on quite different different things. It makes you wonder what's going on there? As with many places, clearer communication what to expect would sort out most of the problems.
M. K.
Very nice hotel. Entrance for disabled customers is to right of main door and has a buzzer connected to reception to alert them to open the door.
Very bright and spacious. All services have all but returned to normal now. Bar, restaurant, spa and pool are all open. As is,I suspect the gym. The spa and pool has a £5 charge to use.
This hotel also allows deliveries of food from the likes of just-eat.
Guests will have to scan a £50 deposit against further charges on the account. Refunded if not utilised
Staff very friendly.
