Wonderful hotel!! We had such an amazing stay! The only thing is it’s so lovely you don’t want to leave the hotel which is a shame when you’re in London it’s a very special place. Absolutely love the the lounge when there is food all day. Nothing is too much trouble. Such a relaxing stay.

A surprise trip away to this beautifully unique and exclusive hotel was a real treat when celebrating a birthday. From the moment we were greeted by the taxi and our bags taken in, through to the staff at the front desk or in the executive lounge, the service never failed to impress. We stayed in the Conservatory Suite which had such an amazing glass roof providing a view to the stars. The room was very spacious and well set out - it was difficult to justify leaving it but when we did venture into the executive lounge we were met by a team of staff who couldn’t do enough to help us celebrate the occasion. Breakfast the following morning was delicious and although sad to go, I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of Hotel 41. Definitely a stay I won’t forget. Thank you all.

Having just returned from a long weekend break celebrating joint 60th Birthdays and 45 years of friendship, we can honestly say that our stay with you has been absolutely Amazing. The Hotel, the decor, the friendly staff, the personal touches in the room, everything was exceptional, we were made to feel special from the moment we entered the front door. Hotel 41 a Red Carnation Hotel is the #1 boutique hotel in London in my humble opinion. The location is the finest location in London just across from Buckingham Palace. Simply no other hotels in London have such close proximity to Buckingham Palace. Together with their wonderful next-door sister hotel, The Rubens, you are opposite Her Majesty The Queen’s illustrious residence. The location is uniquely vibrant!! This is a magnificent decreet hotel with a front entrance door that leads you to the warm, smiling staff that greet guests and encourage them to relax on the sumptuous leather-bound armchairs with a glass of Champagne before checking in – everything about the hotel says elegance and private exclusivity. Hotel 41 is strictly a residents only hotel. I feel at home and safe as a solo traveler. Hotel 41 is a family of dedicated people, managed by the finest GM I have ever met, Malcom Hendry, Lauren, the Resident Mgr and the team are passionate about everything they do. The beloved team always creates enriching and unforgettable experiences for me. That’s why I choose to stay with them again and again – and why they have been voted TripAdvisor’s number one hotel in the UK for ten consecutive years, as well as being awarded a Forbes Five Star. Hotel 41 is absolutely my home away from my home in the US. I am passionate about the team and I call them my family.

This is not a cheap hotel, but it is seriously worth every penny. If you want a really nice treat go for it. We will be back. Just loved our stay.

What an amazing stay we had last week! The staff are what makes this hotel, they are so nice & helpful & nothing is a problem. Check in was so smooth, a glass of Champagne on arrival and what was so nice is they message prior to arrival to ask your eta so there are no strict check in times etc which is perfect. We stayed in an Executive King Room which was a great size for two. The bed was SO comfortable, in fact we didn’t want to get out of it! We had canapés in the evening and next time we come we aren’t going to bother going out we will just sit in the Lounge, drink cocktails, eat canapés and talk to Stephen! The turn down service with the chocolates were extra special, you feel like royalty from the minute you step into this hotel. They will call taxis for you and book tables in restaurants. Plunder pantry is perfect for those who don’t want to eat after the theatre & the ice cream was lovely. After sleeping so well we went for breakfast, again what’s nice is nothing is rushed it’s served till late. A great choice on the menu & food was perfect. The smell in the hotel is amazing and you can purchase the fragrance which I did. We can’t wait to come again, this time it will be for two nights. Best hotel ever!

If I could give a 6-star review here, I would. Hotel 41 is most certainly among the top boutique hotels I've stayed in in the world. The staff were always so helpful and friendly. The location is excellent, and the hotel itself is in great form. I love it!

My stay at Hotel 41 was absolutely fantastic. It is a small, very quiet, elegant hotel. My husband and I had the large, 2 floor suite with a half bath and fireplace on the lower level. The upstairs bedroom has a magnificent glass skylight that covers a huge portion of the ceiling. You can have it visible or closed when you want to sleep. It was amazing to be able to look up and see the beautiful sky and stars while you are in your scrumptuous, king size bed. The service is spectacular, as well as the food. Even though, your view is pretty much the back of the Buckingham Palace Mews, you will certainly feel like a queen or king when staying at Hotel 41. Yes, it is pricey but it is certainly worth it. The perfect hotel for a honeymoon!

Rooms- Faultless. Super clean traditional British setting. All amenities provided. Air conditioning in excellent working condition. Bathrooms had all kinds of toiletries you could possibly want including sets of bathrobes/slippers. Ambience- Lovely hotel scent as soon as you enter the hotel and throughout. Executive lounge was comfortable and felt super relaxing. Well spaced out, candlelight and soft lighting was the perfect combination with mahogany furniture for an intimate mood. Complimentary Perks- Chocolates, ice-cream, protein snacks, nuts all provided complimentary throughout the day. Champagne and drinks of choice on offer all day. Has a rooftop setting with a small rooftop bar. Cinema room seating could have been much more comfortable. Complimentary slice of the nicest birthday cake upon arrival. Staff- The jewel of the hotel. Staff was polite, courteous and exceptionally attentive to individual requests. The evening changeover in the rooms was an unexpected pleasant surprise. Breakfast- Spoilt for choice. Excellent service and taste. Overall the hotel in itself was a great experience to celebrate something special. The hotel promised a memobrable experience and I am pleased to say they delivered and in some aspects exceeded expectations.

We stayed 2 nights at Hotel 41 and it was everything we could have asked for - from the warm greeting with Champagne through to the check-out - it's hard to think of a more seamless customer service experience. Our room was well appointed and the hotel had a lovely, "old world" character, with a fabulous common room where you can eat, drink and unwind. For us, it was the small touches that made the difference, from a hot water-bottle being placed in our bed to the complimentary cookies/chocolates served with our tea. All the staff were wonderful, generous and warm – they were really there to help at any stage. We rarely write reviews but this warranted one. We hope to be back again soon.

What an incredible hotel. From arrival to departure the staff were welcoming and attentive. The hotel sits just a short walk from Buckingham Palace and suits the location perfectly. Its interior and styling is classic, but with all the features you'd expect from a five star hotel. The 'Plunder the Pantry' experience is unlike anything I've seen before, each day there is a changing menu of complimentary snacks (self service is restricted due to COVID), which can be eaten in the lounge or at room. Stayed on my honeymoon. Fantastic hotel definitely would recommend if in your price range (it is obviously pricey). The staff were all incredible and the hotel had thought of everything to make you feel as comfortable and welcomed as possible. The only thing I would caution against - do not stay if you have an allergy or are sensitive to strong scents. The hotel smells great but is highly perfumed, so this may be an issue. It was not an problem for me, though, and I would love to stay here again!

This review comes a year later than our stay. We stayed at Hotel 41 for 5 nights in June 2018 and I can’t say enough about how amazing our stay was. When we stepped into our room, we were greeted with a personalized welcome note and handmade candy in the room. Every amenity you can imagine was at our disposal in the opulent room. The ambiance of the hotel and the amazing staff made our stay the most memorable. Anything that we needed was met immediately with a friendly attitude. Their Lounge, which also is used for breakfast, lunch and casual snacks was always open for us, and we ate some of our evening meals here. The dining room staff was always accommodating, as they packed us lunch for our various daily excursions through London and out in the countryside. Oh, the hand made ice cream was amazing. Location of the hotel was within walking distance to all of London’s main attractions and also close to the train station. It’s directly across from Buckingham Palace and our room overlooked the Palace. The entire staff made us feel as if we were family and it was a wonderful trip. I would highly recommend Hotel 41 to anyone wanting a truly 5 star experience without the stuffiness you might receive elsewhere. Thank you Hotel 41. We hope to return someday.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had an amazing experience. The room was so clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable and the breakfast is absolutely to die for. Great options for all! Also, an amazing location just a few minute walk to Victoria station and Buckingham Palace. I have to say though what really made our experience 5 star was the staff, especially Andrew! The people that work here you can tell love what they do and genuinely were happy we were staying there. They helped with a reservation issue we had, gave recommendations for places to eat, and provided transportation directions. They really do make sure you feel so comfortable and happy. It is so worth the money to stay here. Don't miss out!

This hotel was amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay at the hotel is exemplary. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience and they are super friendly. They were glad to listen to myself and my wife talk about our tour for the day and eagerly questioned if we needed help with anything. We had an evening where we went to see Hamilton at Victoria Theatre and they had a small momento left in our room when we returned. Just small details that make for an excellent experience is what this hotel and staff are about.

We had a lovely stay here for our wedding anniversary. As it was a special occasion they upgraded our room and surprised us with a cake. The level of customer service is excellent and the rooms very tastefully furnished. The refreshments on offer in the lounge area are very good quality and it was a very nice place to chill out after a busy day in London.

Outstanding service from the moment you make a reservation to when you walk in the door staff try to make you feel welcome and accommodate your every need. It's a smallish hotel (40 rooms) and no real signage on the exterior. They keep a receptionist in the lobby to direct you to the upper floors where rooms are and check in occurs. There is an executive suite available for guests to access a light breakfast, quick snacks and water, coffee or tea during the day (tea and small canapes are offered early evening as well). The location is right accross from Buckingham Palace, St James park and several restaurants.

Our stay at hotel 41 was incredible. We stayed in the monarch suite for a few nights. The suite was smart, charming, and have us a view inside a part of Buckingham. We LOVED dining and stopping by the executive lounge for breakfast or tea on our way out. By far the best part of our stay was the staff and the service. It felt like we always had our own private help whenever we needed it, and they went above and beyond with thoughtful gifts, directions, and arrangements for our trip to London. This Hotel's impeccable service and attention to detail is on a First Class Royal level. When we arrived, the Doorman was nice enough to open our Taxi door and carried our bags in. The absolute epitome of quiet perfection. The service is impeccable and unobtrusive. The rooms are lovely and well appointed. But it is the quiet, professional, elegant service that is beyond compare. I have stayed at the Four Seasons - Park Lane, the Chesterfield - Mayfair, etc. and all were nice enough but they lacked the ever present yet invisible, attentive, care that was demonstrated in every interaction at 41. Had I the means I would move in tomorrow and never leave or want for anything again.

The little bits that the staff share of themselves reaffirm that the world is still a good place. Don't come here if you dislike great food, great service and a comfortable bed. The snack buffet is amazing and varied with healthy options. The managers are top-notch and graciously offered to put the World Cup on for the sports lovers. It was great fun gathering around and cheering for England in this typically hushed library setting. Doorman Max from San Francisco was a special favorite. Hotel 41, don't change a thing.

I stayed down the street (literally) in a lesser hotel and was not pleased with that hotel. While wandering up towards Buckingham Palace, I spied Hotel 41 on the other side of the street and made a mental note to drop by on my way back. I entered the luxury, courtesy of the duly appointed door man, to find a warm and inviting presence like I had never felt before in a hotel. Staff whom I encountered treated me royally, despite my status as a non-guest. I told them I was not staying there, but that I would return for breakfast in the morning. Wow, is all I can say. My breakfast was impeccably served by the lovely Antonia and I left walking on cloud 9. I told the staff I would be back again the next morning for breakfast and only wished I had booked Hotel 41 for a room, but alas, my plan was laid. I intend to return as a guest of Hotel 41 within the next few months and look forward to it being my home in London.

What a wonderful hotel and a wonderful experience! The service at this hotel is outstanding, even exemplary! I have never been treated so well and been made to feel like a valued guest in any hotel anywhere. I was most surprised that the staff actually gets to know you and how well they anticipate your needs. I was also surprised that each day we came back to our room after turn down we were delighted by some simple but brilliant touches. The complimentary pantry is fantastic for a late night bite and a night cap. This beautiful hotel is located near Victoria Station. It has excellent transit access, and is within walking distance of a few prominent London attractions. I read a few negative reviews on another site and my sense is that these reviews were made by people who haven't experienced this type and level of service (which isn't for everyone). This is an old hotel and it has the quirks of one. You can't expect perfection in the surroundings because of its age but if you appreciate beautiful old buildings you'll find it wonderful. It's extremely well kept up. Service here is uncompromising and personal - which some may feel is intrusive especially compared to the lack of attention afforded in most American hotels. If you prefer to be an anonymous guest, the staff is very respectful but you'll never be treated like a number here. This place is old school (in the very best way). I wouldn't dock points for this hotel because of these things, it's being itself - just know what you're in for when you book.

Always a pleasure to return to. The location of 41 (essentially next to the Queen's rear garden) made exploring the city very easy. The entire resort is spotlessly clean. All in all a good hotel in a good location with great transport connections. Location is good too as we walk to most places for touristy visits.

We stayed here in the Monarch suite for an anniversary and had a wonderful night. All the staff were very attentive and the hotel is in a great location. Very tasty room service and a nice evening buffet supplied by the hotel. Highly recommended if you want to stay in London.
