I spent the afternoon at this hotel with clients, such a lovely place. All the staff are very happy and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful and clean to a high standard. From reception to waiting staff are all very helpful.
Thank u.

Recently had a delightful lunch here with friends, though wasn't staying as a guest this time as I live local. Beautiful surroundings and warm and friendly staff. Food was great and we had a lovely time. Look forward to coming again soon.

A lovely place to stay with period features and helpful staff. Room cleanliness as you'd expect. Breakfast as part off a package is good though questionable value if a light eater. Lovely space over looking common makes for a great start to the day. Housekeeping needs a touch more attention - empty soap dispenser and nonworking bath plug, but overall well kept. Would stay again.

There's a brilliant bar, here, with wonderful views of the resplendent ceiling and staircase. The service is exceptional, and it's also positive that the staff are masked. I firmly rate the bar 5/5.

4 of us went for a celebration lunch in November. Lovely view from glass atrium. Unfortunately car park no longer validated for free parking despite spending considerable money there for lunch, which in my opinion as a local resident, unnecessarily stingy! Did put us off to return. Penny wise pound foolish of Hotel du Vin and will cost them loss of local regulars.

The hotel is on a fantastic location near Wimbledon Common. It is not the best hotel if you do not have a car though. The restaurant is very nice with view over a nice green. Room rates are very reasonable for the quality!

Grand country house hotel next to Wimbedon Common. We enjoyed a Fabulous Friday break which included dinner and some fizz. Room shown was an upgrade! Smaller rooms are perfectly adequate and well appointed.

The Hotel recently hosted my Sons wedding celebrations, absolutely fantastic from start to finish nothing was to much trouble,a big thank you to Sone & team

The hotel is beautiful, the foyer and dining area in particular. The rooms are also very comfortable, attractive and cosy, but the thing tha showed me these staff go the EXTRA MILE was when I left my watch at the hotel. Long story, short, it had dropped into my Deliveroo bag and it wasn't until lunch time, when I had already checked out and was working at my site when I called the reception to tell them I think it may have dropped in there the night before. To my absolute amazement and sheer delight, the staff had gone through the rubbish to find it!!! Not only this, but as my room was one of the first to be cleaned, the bin bags from my room were at the bottom, so they had to remove all of those to look for my particular bag!!
I can't thank them enough for the incredible effort they went to. This is one of the nicest things anyone has done for me. I certainly don't think the wife would look through rubbish to find my watch!
If the management read these reviews, please give DEBORAH, KEVIN and ANNA the credit they deserve for this stellar effort. I am so, so grateful!

2nd time we stayed here, very friendly and accommodating staff. Great full English breakfast. We will definitely return.

Good but no where near the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club which was the purpose of my search.

Small private wedding reception under covid rules was perfectly handled by this venue. Spotlessly clean. Friendly unobtrusive staff catering for our every need.
Would highly recommend.

Always a joy to stay in Hotel du Vin. Lovely staff and comfortable accomodation.

We haven't stay at the Cannizaro hotel yet but I just wanted to review the excellent service I have received from the reservation team. Anna and Leanne have both been exceptional in their help and advice. Their friendly, supportive attitude has been very much appreciated during these Covid days. I have no doubt that the hotel will live up to their high standard of customer service.

We used HdV frequently but our first visit to Wimbledon. Friendly and attentive staff. They have an Italian themed menu which is both good and unusual for HdV where they usually follow their French themed food offerings. Close to Wimbledon village and common. Would recommend a stay here.

Popped in for a coffee and lunchtime drink with the family. Really excellent service. Couldn't have been more accommodating.

Didn't go in. We met for a coffee in Cannizaro Park where the hotel sells (excellent) coffee from a van. The park is lovely. Its the former gardens of the big house which is now the hotel. As a bonus, the public toilets have just reopened.

Took my sister for a birthday surprise. We stayed in the Oak room suite with the most comfortable bed! The luxurious sleigh bath was a delight! Excellent dinner and breakfast. The reception staff are very good. Thanks for a brilliant stay!

The hotel is beautiful inside and out, with stunning views and gardens. However the carpets need a good clean in the hallways and the rooms. And the breakfast situation was not ideal - not enough tables in the restaurant so make shift tables given in the bar, service was slow, I think they couldn't cope. The server who brought up room service was grumpy. The reception staff were lovely however.
In summary: looks-wise 5stars. overall - OK.

Stayed 14 June 2021 during lockdown. Booked a classic room not checking first whether it had a separate shower. It did not ... which in my case - recovering from operation - caused a need to request a move to a more appropriate room. It was done promptly in a most courteous manner. The beds are heavenly and the rooms superbly clean. The restaurant menu although during lockdown slightly restricted offered very interesting dishes - the rissoto nero was to die for.
Will I be back ? Most certainly.

Food and views were lovely. We came for a birthday and were not happy with the service. We were one of maybe four tables, service was slow. When food arrived we were expected to clear space for the tea on our table. We had empty water glasses sitting on our table with no offer of tap water until we asked. Were not checked on once even with three staff walking around the dining rooms, cleaning the windows, sorting cups, felt completely ignored. Then when the check came, the server took ages to make sense why we didn’t want to pay the full service. We were not offered to take the leftover items from our tea. Overall wouldn’t go back. Better afternoon teas at the same price where they make you feel like they want you there!

Stay was nice. I don’t get away much so it was a treat to stay in such a beautiful hotel. Reception staff were excellent, particularly Elaine who helped me figure out transport into the city. Reason for three stars is the dining experience. We opted for the bar food which was okay but staff were so aloof and inattentive. No smiles or chat or apology when the order came out wrong and at completely different times. And it was only us and one other table there so them being busy wasn’t an excuse. Also the fire wasn’t lit which was a pity as we stayed on a cold and stormy night but maybe there are health and safety reasons for this? I’m generally an easy customer and am very slow to complain but I would seriously recommend that you do some bar staff training in customer service. Sometimes a smile is all it takes!

We were greeted by a warm welcome from the gentleman at the reception who was very friendly and professional.
He had told us we had the best room in the house, The Lombard room.
The room boasted a marble like bath overseeing the beautiful common. With champagne at the ready.
Breakfast service was then delivered by very polite and professional staff.
I would recommend this hotel if you are a local or are a couple / individual looking to get away but not too far away, since the hotel allows you to feel as if you are far in the country.
A. G.
Stayed here for remote working purpose (key worker status). Social Distance procedures are well organised and staff members polite, experienced and professional. Hotel in beautiful setting on the edge of the Common as well as its own grounds. An ideal place to feel just outside the smoke of the city but close enough to gain access to central London.
The area is a walkers, runners paradise with plenty of routes to get your steps in without tredding tarmac or roadside paths. Being Wimbledon, plenty of other entertainment and restaurant facilities, when they open from lock down.
S. N.
Lovely position in the village, decent rooms and public areas. Whole thing doesn't seem to gel together well in regard of service which lets the experience down. Nice people but something doesn't quite work and it'll be something different each time that's not right. It's not enough to not go but wish all aspects of this 4star hotel were up to scratch all times.
p. T.
Always hard to judge a place during a national lock down, as menus are all limited. You receive a warm and friendly welcome, staff are attentive, room are clean and well presented. The food although limited was nice and well presented, only small moan is the pastries are over cooked and bite size, so ensure you order other parts of the breakfast to make a meal. Very nice building would recommend.

Treated by my fiance for my Birthday as a surprise night away and trip to the theatre !! Lovely room with a very comfortable grand looking bed. There were also ample tea and coffee making facilities. Nice size flat screen TV with multiple free view channels. It is not often I can stay in a hotel and have a great night's sleep with plenty of room in the bed. We are used to a super king size bed at home that's very comfortable but no complaints from me! There was also a little note in the room wishing me happy birthday with a lovely little cake and happy birthday in icing hand written on the plate. I thought that was a very nice touch. A good sized bathroom with double basins and illuminated mirrors. The Shower was nice and powerful and well thought out design wise. Heated floor in the bathroom was also a lovely feature. The room was air conditioned and I set the temperature nice and cool, that also helped for a great nights sleep! The room could also be heated to whatever temperature required.Breakfast was also very good with english and continental options avalible, I had the English breakfast and thought it was very nice. It was very well cooked with good quality ingredients. Breakfast was located in the orangery over looking the grounds in a great setting, I could of sat there for hours just watching people walking with their dogs and coming and going. A very nice stay and would happily recommend !!

Fantastic my daughter had her wedding there and it was a very special day....

Lovely hotel set in absolutely stunning surroundings. The amenities in our suite were just simply luxurious and absolutely faultless. The staff who work in this hotel however can be a bit hit or miss. The dinner staff during our stay (second time in a year) were very friendly, but not the breakfast staff including managers - most of whom seemed grumpy, a bit reluctant to smile and not very welcoming!!! The French sounding lady at the reception was friendly but the English lady with a slightly Irish accent seemed a bit strange and curt when we checked out. Instead of asking us if everything was fine with our stay, she gave us the receipt and then just handed us the tripadvisor card asking us to leave a review?!? Very odd and as mentioned before, curt!
C. B.
Went for a breakfast meet up. The house is lovely and the conservatory area where you dine is lovely with views of the park. The service initially was prompt and the food excellent. For some reason we were ignored for a substantial time, and ordering a second cup or coffee or getting the bill was tedious and the waitress seemed to be [pt out by this request. Will go back as generally the service is excellent.
Y. O.
I went here for afternoon tea and I was quite disappointed. While the setting is lovely and the service was good, the food did not match expectations nor the standards which are presented by the surroundings. Visually everything was appealing, but the scones were tiny and only one of the deserts was appetising. Worst of all, I left feeling hungry. I wouldn't recommend the afternoon tea as they need to up their game, but I have been here previously for a wedding which was nice.

Right in the beautiful Canizaro park, we loved staying here. I can see that the hotel made an effort to control track and trace, sanitised all aroubd the hotel in this covid time, and I felt safe stying here. All the staffs were friendly and the food was good. It's been 10 years since I stayed in a Hotel du Vin last. I am glad that it kept the quality I remembered.
C. M.
Well positioned, hidden gem with a lovely garden. The venue is really beautiful but it’s only a 3 stars for me as the food is definitely below average for a place like that! what a pity, it could be easily be a 5 star :-) if they cared a bit more for ingredients quality and menu. Needs improvements and it could be the perfect place for a small wedding or similar occasion as the style is very romantic

Spent a lovely evening in this hotel. The staff are great and the hotel is in a lovely place you wouldn't even know you were in London.

I invited my parents for afternoon tea to Hotel du Vin in Wimbledon because I like the setting of the restaurant. We enjoyed the sandwiches and cakes but the experience wasn’t great after all due to the poor service. The staff were nice but not attentive at all - they seemed to be busy setting up for a dinner service. Disappointing as this was a crucial part of the whole afternoon tea experience.
L. L.
Great location and grounds. Attentive staff. I went for cream tea with my daughter on Sunday afternoon and although it was the end of a very busy lunch service and afternoon tea being served we were welcomed and served well.. The scones were on the small side but delicious. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and a walk around the gardens rounded off a happy Sunday afternoon.

What can I say? Wow. If arriving here is impressive (which it clearly is - beautiful setting and an even more beautiful building) then so too is the customer service. I was met with a smile and provided with a free upgrade to my room. Service was impeccable even at 11 PM when I arrived.

Had an awesome stay here, the staff were really welcoming and helpful. Our suite was amazing and perfect for us. Lovely relaxing bar/lounge and beautiful views and grounds. The traditional breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend and would love to visit again!

Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and our dog. Lovely setting, and nice amenities. We hope to return soon.

We visited the takeout van and had great pepperoni pizza and hot chocolate for the kids, beautiful gardens and free parking on the common. Highly recommend heading into Cannizaro park after a visit to the common, great place for a walk, lots of benches and designated foot paths.

Had a lovely evening at the Hotel du vin in Wimbledon.
Heard mixed reviews about the restaurant but I must say I thought the staff and food were superb.
We were celebrating my wife's birthday so arrived at the bar for around 7pm. It was very busy and the bar staff did a fantastic job. A,Ingrid sure we all had drinks (10 people). The cocktails were lovely, a good size and very well presented. The restaurant staff were brilliant. Really helpful suggesting wines etc and with 2 vegans in our party everyone had great choices. I had the xmas menu with the duck liver starter, the turkey main and the pavlova desert, all of which were lovely. Not one complaint on the food.
Well done to everyone at Hotel Du Vin........see you soon x

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Pleasant bar and restaurant. The room was fairly grand, if a little old. All dark furniture and old-fashioned style. A good 20 minute walk from Wimbledon station but only a few minutes across the common to the village. Would go back

Really love this place. The atmosphere is magic.

Was here for afternoon tea. The hotel and grounds are beautiful despite it being a typical grey winter day. As for the rest of the experience it was decidedly average. We had made a booking but this had not been added to the diary - fine because the restaurant was virtually empty. The menu made the afternoon tea sound fabulous but it didn't live up to the description. I liked the variety of savouries presented, but preparation should be better. Everything was fridge cold, croissant was doughy, egg mayo bland, and quiche tasted as though it was made with a sweet pastry. The sweets were a big disappointment. The doughnut was very dark, cold and cloying, the tea-cake tasty but very chewy marshmallow, and lemon meringue lacking any zing. We asked for more tea - and just had more hot water added to the pot so 2nd cup was ruined by over extraction of the lame teabag. The scones were delightfully fluffy and served with oodles of clotted cream and the homemade gin & tonic sundae shot utterly sublime! We had about half a dozen different servers during the afternoon- some very engaging and some who shouldn't work in hospitality.
L. M.
My husband and I were taken there for a sunday brunch by dear friends, the food was good although the pepper sauce with the steak was not thick and creamy. Unfortunately there was an incident where we were waiting for soup of the day and the waitress who brought it out of the kitchen did not know which table to take it to and offered it to every table accept ours. It seemed obvious that because we were the only black people there she did not come near us and we were seated in the middle of the restaurant. I felt embarrassed for our friends. The rest of staff were very attentive.

Enjoyable stay in perfect surroundings. Room is probabley the best i've ever stayed in with comfy bed and excellent shower. Lack of menu choice was alittle disappointing BUT i maybe being harsh as this was one of the few hotels serving meals post covid 19.
A. L.
Food was lovely for a Saturday afternoon tea, service was absolutely dreadful. We waited a long time to be seated (despite having a reservation) and then an even longer time to order. Our food took longer than the table next to us who ordered after us. We ordered a second glass of champagne and the waitress said "in a minute" but never came back. We asked for the bill three times. All I can say is shame on them for adding a service charge to the bill. We have been to hotel Du vin in York and Bristol where the service you pay good money for was a lot better, but this one was just a total fail.
D. R.
We were made very welcome on arrival after parking our car in the outdoor parking area. The location was very nice and nearby the Wimbledon common and merton park and paramount in our needs.
The traditional hot breakfast were very good and excellent and its the main party of our stay
M. S. L.
Came for afternoon tea... good scones, sandwiches and tea - but the cakes were disappointing (too dry despite only being 2pm). Service was reasonable but my teacup was slightly chipped in a few places and one of the supposedly new jam jars on the table was already used...
L. F.
Location is nice and out the way, although for public transport its slightly awkward but not a big one. The bar staff and catering crew were fantastic. Food was good the right amounts of everything. Toilets were very clean and conveniently placed between the bar and where we were eating.

It pains me to write this review as I love this hotel and the grounds are a very special place I've been coming to for the last 15 years or so. The building itself is gorgeous and standards are pretty high throughout. Most of the rooms (I've probably stayed in 7 or 8) are great with the only real issue being that some of them have patchy wi-fi, which will be an issue if you're needing to work from there. The front desk staff are also great - really helpful and pleasant. The sole reason I'm marking the hotel down is the restaurant, specifically during breakfast hours - something is fundamentally broken in there. I've literally not had a single meal where something didn't go wrong. Typical issues are:
1) You'll often just be left to wander around to find someone to seat you. There's rarely been someone at the station and staff just walk past you without any acknowledgement. If you try to sit down if your own accord it seems to create confusion.
2) Orders are frequently wrong. On my most recent trip this reached a farcical level. My order was completely wrong but the server just stared at me blankly and tried to keep giving me the plate. The woman next to me (who was already there when I arrived) had to ask repeatedly where her food was. After about 45 minutes she just gave up and left, and another 15 minutes after that they delivered her food to an empty table and left it there. Several other people also appeared to have their food delivered to the wrong table.
3) About 80% of the times I've been there it has taken the best part of an hour for food to arrive, regardless of how busy the restaurant is.
As I say, I actually love this hotel and plan to keep staying there. I'll just be heading down the hill to Pret to eat breakfast. For transparency I've never eaten dinner there so I have no idea if the situation is better at night, but as far as mornings are concerned there's clearly something wrong with the system.

Ok, where do I start...
Great looking building from the outside and in. Very quirky lay out inside, with most rooms following the same design but completely different layout. On entrance the bar area and the view into The Orangery were amazing. However, just one issue here, and its the smell of the carpets. I understand that the building is old, but this needs to be addressed. The beds were extra comfortable and clean, as well as the bathroom. Both facilities are well maintained.
There needed to be more signs to the stairwell taking guests to the 2nd floor as the building is like mase. This is needed as the one lift seen is very slow and obviously used frequently by guests and staff members.
The Orangery restaurant is gorgeous, and gives a beautiful view of the grounds, but was let down by service and I would say the attitude of some staff members. Breakfast took ages to arrive and when it did, it was all wrong. The only time when we received what we requested is when a young gentleman intervened. With dinner and breakfast they didn't seem to really cater for vegans and seem to add pork in a lot of their meals.
Shortage of staff seemed a massive issue, as well as knowledge of what was available in the kitchen. The dinning experience was questionable and is why i couldn't give 5 stars.
Terrible WiFi connection, and unable to use my mobile data and/or make calls 🤔. I had to walk to the car park 90% of the time to speak to family.
Last but not least, unhappy that I had to pay an additional £13 for breakfast, when I waited nearly 40mins and it was wrong. Prior to eating I had spoken with the lady at reception about having my room rate changed to breakfast included. All I kept getting back is "we always ask at checkin, whether guests would like breakfast". I think she said this 4 times. Maybe I should have complained after the event...
Hotel du Vin, is a hidden gem. But don't forget that in the hospitality industry, excellent service is a must. I will return because, it is a beautiful place. So, please work on service it's a must.
R. D.
Beautiful restaurant, outstanding service and a soothing ambience. Richard and his professional service team made our birthday evening especially memorable. I would highly recommend the du Vin restaurant with its exquisite menu. Thank you all for making this place so homely and welcoming.
P. D.
A lovely hotel in the most beautiful of settings. Our suite had wonderful facilities and the most sumptuous of beds that sent me to sleep upon contact. The staff at the hotel are friendly and attentive. The local pubs are warm and welcoming and just a moments walk away. Wimbledon village is also just a five minute walk across the common (keep your eyes open for the odd Womble).
L. S.
Not quite what we was expecting. Room mirror covered in dust, lights not working, glasses filthy & a used towel hung back on the towel rail again. Which I think is sub standard considering the cost of the room at 140 per night and no breakfast either extra 18.00.
W. C.
Hotel very nice, great view of the park in the restaurant.
Unfortunately car was broken into in the car park to steal a jacket left in the boot. Seems unlikely to be a crime of opportunity in my opinion due to the location of the car park and furthermore our car within it. Thief apparently peered through tinted glass at night time and saw a black jacket they wanted...
Staff were helpful in reporting it to police in our absence but refused to so much as confirm whether they had CCTV of the incident which came off as unnecessarily obstructionist. They claimed break-ins rarely happened but having a brief check of the car park the next morning showed smashed glass in a lot of the empty spaces I could see, so I think it must be at least semi-regular.
So, nice hotel, but learn from us and don’t leave valuables in your car. 👍🏼

I went to the restaurant at Cannizaro House to enjoy a three course set meal, as part of their "Christmas In Style" programme.
On the plus side, the service and the ambience were very good.
On the minus side, the food was a bit hit and miss with the main meal "daube of beef provencale" being a bit dry and tough and the roast potatoes instead being more like new potatoes. My experience was mirrored by the other person at the table who also ordered the beef.
Maybe we were unlucky, but at £39.95 per person this did not meet expectations, and as a result has reduced the rating to three stars.
A. R.
Attended for a work event. Service was attentive, food was very good. The building and grounds itself are highly attractive. The room provided was next to the restaurant so suffered a little from sound coming through, and it got a little warm in there, but this is a minor quibble - overall experience was good.
J. N.
You can sit outside the restaurant and look out into the park over a hedgerow of lavender - perfect on a sunny day. The service is quite bad outside though, no one ever came out to take our order after 30 mins. Great if you want to enjoy the view in the sun without spending any money, not so great if you actually want a drink. You can always order at the bar and carry it out yourself if you're desperate.
B. C.
You wouldn't believe you are in London at this hotel, the surrounds are quiet and relaxing.
Booked in and was taken to my room by the front desk and shown around.
The room was fantastic and quite spacious considering it was probably one of their smaller rooms. I fell in love with the bath as it was a full size and very deep.
Had dinner at the hotel and that was very tasty (if you don't like alot of tomatoes, dont have the sausage, tomato and onion salad for a starter as I could easily have had at least 3 different types of tomatoes).
Good nights sleep, the only downside was that some light came in and so if you need a dark room, bring an eye mask.
Breakfast was great, you could choose from a continental or cooked, if you are having breakfast and is not part of your room cost, book the night before as you can get it £2 cheaper.
I was only staying for 1 night (business), but overall a great stay which was very relaxing and comfortable
P. D.
The hotel is 8 minutes in a car from Wimbledon and has a lovely garden. We had afternoon tea in the Orangerie. The food was top class but the service was very dissapointing. The staff were quite junior and although friendly they were not attentive. We asked for a bottle of Prosecco to be ssrved with the food.Instead of bringing a wine list to the table the waiter brought a bottle and poured immediatedly by which time it was too late to change our mindsor to enquire about the price. 4 of us ordered different types of tea and were dissapoited to be served tea bags rather than loose leaf tea. When I went to pay the bill out of earshot of the friends whos birthdsy we were celebrating I was somewhat surprised to find that the Prosecco was £38 and the service charge had been added to the bill although was supposed to be discretionary!!
c. a.
We ate in the restaurant this evening as the orangery was being used for an event. Our waitress was truly outstanding and passionate about what she does. The sharing sea bass was wonderful !
P. S.
We had a family lunch in the Orangarie at Cannizaro House this weekend. The quality of food was exceptional and the atmosphere delightful. The service was decent throughout however they were quite short staffed yet always had a smile and gave us attention when we needed anything. We'd highly recommend.
B. A.
My parents stayed at the hotel a couple of years ago and were generally full of praise. However visiting the restaurant and 'orangerie' in recent months we have become increasingly disappointed with the service and the general attitude of the servers. We had numerous issues at our lunch today but to make just a couple of comments: we found that the servers were unhelpful and disinterested over the queries we had over the menu, the food was average, and we had to walk the length of the place twice to request the bill and then request the card machine afterwards. Beautiful setting and gardens, what a shame.
D. P.
Wonderful Hotel 🏩, fantastic service, staff are very attentive, grounds are beautiful.
A. H.
Nice ambience and nice menu and nice views from the orangery.
But the quality of some of the service and some of the food let it down. So did the long wait for the food to be cooked - when it really wasn't busy
R. B.
One first visit this place really let itself down, I was invited back to stay and I was glad to see that it had really improved and that feedback had been taken on board.
A fantastic location, close to the common and the food is very good, whilst the grounds offer a lovely walk.
A. H.
The restaurant is in a beautiful conservatory overlooking the park, which makes it a great experience. The staff has been very helpful and welcoming since they reopened. I highly recommend this place.
M. G.
Took our mother there for a big birthday. The staff could not do enough for us and we had a fantastic time. Then we relaxed ( with dog friends) with coffee. No pressure. Very relaxing
T. F.
Excellent hotel, perfect even under Covid, very friendly and helpful staff, especially Lynne and Anne. Would definitely stay there again.
F.
Beautiful grounds, beautiful hotel near the park in Wimbledon. Excellent food too. Only thing is ease of getting in and out if you want to use the train but even that might not be a bad thing as it's quiet and away from the crowds of London.
G. C.
Great atmosphere and a lovely view. Slightly disappointed with the food choices with not many vegetarian breakfast options. Staff were friendly and helpful but the overall experience was a little lacking.
J. P.
We went here for Sunday Brunch and it was soo good I am still telling everyone about the salmon I had from the buffet. Our waiter Janos was great and I'm definitely coming again.
I'd advise against ordering the omelette, steak frites is what they are known for!
C. W.
If you're going to Wimbledon, this is an excellent location with just a short distance to the grounds and a well-stocked bar for your return (or the night before, like us). However, the decor, rooms, beds, window treatments and service in Reception is like stepping back into the 90's. E.g. the blinds in the window go either up or down...there's no way to have them so that we can see out but no one can see in and you MUST walk past the window when getting ready after showering due to the layout of the bed/dressing table, while all the drivers of taxis, limos, etc., are situated right outside said window all day awaiting guests going to Wimbledon. If you lower the blind, there's no light in the room to see yourself in the only mirror where you can dry your hair. The girl who led us to our room got lost and didn't seem to know much about the hotel layout. Breakfast took a really long time - at one point I thought we'd have to leave without having any so we could make our taxi time. I asked for eggs scrambled and not fiddled with too much (i.e. cream added like they do in some hotels) and they arrived in a tiny pile, all dried up and tasteless. Surely there's somewhere in the middle? They had some great photo of the tennis players in mounts in reception. I saw one I liked and the receptionist had me call the 'artist' who sells them (there aren't any prices on them). He said 300 quid each! HA! I think I can print them off the internet and have them mounted for a fraction of the cost. A very average hotel which is in dire need of a renovation but a great bar area with super live music the night we were there.
R. G.
We had our wedding reception here in May 2014 and we had the most amazing day. Beautiful venue, incredibly helpful and attentive staff and the food was amazing! We still get compliments from our guests! We had a perfect day.
J. B.
The set menu was excellent value for money and this is one of the best settings for lunch. Such a shame that the staff in the restaurant do not interact or even look happy in their work. A smile costs nothing but goes a long way! 😀
M. L.
Magnificent hotel in a beautiful setting, delicious Afternoon Tea, and great service. Was a little sad the Lunch and mouthwatering French Market spread couldn’t be broken down to less than 4 courses for a lighter lunch.

That's was my first time and I m sure I'll go back soon...the venue is very nice and the restaurant room very bright and spacious..my friend and I had a very good time. The food was tasty and well presented and the staff very friendly especially Matteo who was very helpful and professional.
M. M.
Went for afternoon tea. Lovely setting and really imaginative food. Selection of teas left something to desire for people that like good teas rather than fruit flavoured ones though.
A. S.
Beautiful setting, hotel decor lovely, Charlotte the duty manager had promptly resolved a issue we had, she had great customer service.
A asset to the hotel.
We spent 2 nights and would return to the hotel.
J. E.
Room was nice enough, plenty of space and a comfortable bed. However the service left something to be desired. The staff were great, I can't fault them, but there simply wasn't enough of them considering the hotel was full.
R. C.
Food good, service good, coffee bad.
I.
Great place great price will be back. The rooms are gorgeous and well worth the money compared to other areas around or near London. The fact there is plenty of parking and great walks gives this place a 10 out of 10 for me
R. V.
Lovely hotel. Well organised in these difficult covid times. Breakfast was very nice and a lovely view of the park. The staff was very welcoming.
j. p.
A very peaceful luxurious stay in parkland setting.
Lovely staff.
M. G.
Great looking place, good food. But incredibly slow service, very messy, uncooked food sent back never came back, took ages to get the bill. However, they were kind enough to offer a discount, so you could tell they had good intentions.
k. k.
Nice hotel interestingly names rooms instead of room numbers. Staff are lovely and friendly.Food is pretty good, but not mind blowing for the price. Heated floors in bathroom is a pleasant surprise. All in all a good stay and good food.

We've been here before when it was Cannizaro house, everything back then was first rate. We visited one Sunday morning in October to have tea and pastries and see if it was worth coming back for a meal or a stay. Oh dear...there was a wedding or some type of event on and it was obvious that the managment had hit their end stops.
Just after our waiter had served us; various members of managment started dragging chairs and tables through all of the downstairs rooms. This all looked very panicky and last minute. The Hoover was yanked by us four times looking like a frantic dog walker on speed. Then two circular tables were rolled through our lounge causing the door to slam into my chair. This wasn't all that bad as it did look like a comedy sketch. Our waiter Dominic was fast and professional in ability and attitude and the other waiting staff looked immaculate as they efficiently prepped the large event in the Orangery..which looked stunning. The house and grounds are still beautiful. It just felt we were in the way. We will probably go back for an afternoon tea if not just to see middle management do the 'Faulty Towers' comedy chair dance. This is a wonderful venue but for these prices I don't expect something that resembles the bungling 'Bingham.'

Nice room en vertrouwen clean. only when you order something in the bar, make sure you have plenty of time... 1 beer and 1 sparkling water: 24 minutes! when you leave the table, trust me, they're vertrek fast tot make sure who they have to bill it to...
M. M.
Food is a little overpriced for what you get but the views and venue are lovely
L. A.
Didn't find it very friendly when we went for coffee. We were told we had to sit outside, because the tables were set for lunch. Then was expected to carry the tray out. Not the standard we have been used to after twenty five years are using the hotel.
M. C.
Nice rooms even if they are not sound proof. The gate system to leave the hotel is very inefficient and it took 10 minutes to leave the hotel. Reception staff refused to help and where slightly rude.
c.
Had a full afternoon tea here at the hotel. We were lucky and had a great waiter and an overall great experience, but I could see from the attitude of some of the other wait staff why other customers might have had a different experience.
A. T.
Third time here. Scenery is with the visit. Food is undoubtedly decent. Service on this occasion was poor as the restaurant team were clearly understaffed, hopefully easy for management to fix.
T. T.
Lovely hotel with welcoming staff. Beautiful quiet room. Delicious breakfast included with booking. The spa treatment we also booked was so rejuvenating.
D. Y.
Lovely but a bit noisy. It's an old building so the floors creak. We were staying with our 10 month old who was woken repeatedly by people passing by - other than that, a great place.
C. B.
Beautiful views over Wimbledon common from the orangery restaurant. Lovely for a Sunday lunch or special occasion. Hotel rooms are beautiful and clean, excellent professional service throughout.
H. A.
I had the pleasure of photographing weddings at this amazing hotel.
It's blessed with huge grounds, wonderful garden areas and a beautiful interior. From a photography perspective it has everything to accommodate the pictures expected on a wedding day - in a truly stunning setting.

Service was excellent. We were greeted with drinks on arrival and they were able to cater for my daughter too. Food was delicious and big portions.
R. K.
Exalent service very good. They charge for parking your car.
T. “. M.
Just popped in for a drink and a walk around the park. The setting is very nice and i believe the bar/restaurant is often used as a wedding recption venue. A lot of different wines available, varying from reasonable price to very expensive.
M. J.
Lovely hotel and restaurant only let down by breakfast service. Location is great, right on Wimbledon Common. Hotel and grounds are lovely and well kept. Generally all staff are great and very helpful only let down by very slow and unattentive breakfast staff. Food at dinner and breakfast was fantastic.
M. C.
Great place to stay. Set in beautiful grounds which are well worth checking out. Rooms are far bigger than your average hotel. Would highly recommend
M. F.
Mum's 90th birthday party couldn't have been better organized by David Morris. His communication skills are exceptional. Each and every guest commented on the beautiful location , the choice of dishes selected were cooked very well.Thank you HDV for making it a memorable occasion
B. O.
Afternoon tea in lovely setting. Premium price. However service pretty poor; sofas dirty; crockery chipped. Sandwiches average. Not really meeting expectations for the price.
A. M.
Cannizaro House is my home from home... I always conduct business meetings here whenever I can as the ambience is elegant and calm, the food and drink always delicious, and the service very good and attentive. And now with the brand new Orangerie, a whole new menu with stunning views over the park land.
J. P.
Had a great afternoon tea. Staff were accommodating and the service was good. The food is excellent, especially the dessert/cakes.
S. I.
It was ok. Liked it but didn't love it. Great location. Easy access to Wimbledon Common and some lovely local pubs, like the Crooked Billet.
B. H.
Grab a friend and add the following elements: the Hotel du Vin garden, a bottle of something white and cold, and hot summer sunshine. You need nothing else to have a great afternoon. Enjoy!
J.
Great service by staff and a lovely evening by a fireplace that is open... That's such a perk.. but recommend staff tend to it more to msximuse it's value over winter. A lovely evening in all though for a drink and cozy surrounding
A. C.
Stayed here the night before and night of our wedding - beautiful hotel and room was lovely - but music on at 8am really loud and we were above it wasn’t that relaxing - and not a great front of house arrival
H. H.
Lovely hotel, heated bath room floor, fresh milk in room fridge, all this little things made a big difference.
Enjoy my stay here very much.
M.
Great location, very up market, not cheap, but they do offer room and dining options which is what we did. The meal choices were OK, the service was both good and bad, the delivery of our order was slow, part's of the meal was cold and the rib eye steak was terribly, but the fillet was excellent. I hope this helps you.
R. T.
The new extension is fantastic and a great addition to the area.
Food and service are xcellent.
It is a muddy walk from the station - so a cab might be good.
A hidden treasure in London.
A. R.
Nice hotel, great location. Dog friendly with a good restaurant. There were a few issues, such as the broken coffee machine, but otherwise a great stay.
J. Y.
Went for a meeting in the business rooms. Great service and very nice food offered for lunch. Sandwiches and chips and a veggie option.
M. P.
Just celebrated our Golden Anniversary of leaving school at this venue in a large luxurious private room with a great meal, attentive service and plenty of wine. Ideal for special occasions
B. L.
Nice hotel. Wedding event was ok but limited. Location a bit out away from transport but has a car park if you wanted to drive in instead.
T. R.
I visited the hotel for the first time on Saturday. The food was fantastic, the ambience and atmosphere was great. I will definitely visit again. Maybe on mothers day!
D. J. M.
Lovely big rooms, friendly staff and great breakfast.
G. S.
Stayed here for a weekend on the 18th of July
From the time we arrived everything and everyone was perfect
Would definitely recommend to anyone
Garry and Debbie Stevens

Ground level rooms are too noisy . If we could choose we would 1st level rooms . Breakfast is a little poor . They want payment from bar before order a drink even you are a hotel guest . This is not acceptable .
A. G.
Nice grounds to walk around, good for picnics and to take little ones to run about. The orangry saves delicious food but is a little on the expensive side.
C. R.
Brilliant service from waitress in restaurant. Lovely room, especially bed and shower.
O. C.
Amazing hotel...but adjacent bistro is missing good customer services& speed....always running out of olives, snacks etc...surroundings are really pretty for little walks.
A. K.
Amazing location, great views but service at the bar is very slow. They always seem to be short staffed.
A. L.
Absolutely amazing food and vibe! It was for a special occasion and boy is Carlos make sure it was a special evening!! Could not recommend them enough! Thanks so much 👌👌
C. S.
Excellent weekend stay, very well run, wonderful room and communal spaces, attentive staff and fabulous food, will come again.
M. M.
Good food and wine selection. Lovely building. Service could be quicker and they seem to run out of chocolate bombs frequently.
A. S.
Lovely
Staff very helpful.
G. H.
Beautiful restaurant in magnificent grounds however service was incredibly slow lunchtime on bank holiday Monday
One meal was over cooked and the replacement took forever to arrive
R. C.
Lovely views of the park at breakfast. Comfortable room. Free parking. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast and so many options.
R. A.
Great little spot for a quick getaway, close to village amenities and a stroll across the common, stunning setting across the green for breakfast and a comfortable suite with all the essentials for a comfortable stay-over.
B. A.
Great venue. Needs to be run better. Lots of things missing. Esp versus other hotel du vins
T. R.
I used to love this hotel, I had my wedding reception here and stayed for anniversaries, but it's gradually gone down hill. It's rooms are well decorated and staff are nice but food bland and expensive.
T. F.
We had lunh there but due to weddings the service was very slow. They didn't charge service charge wich was a plus. Food was nice but not a wide selection.
A. S.
An amazing hotel, front of house were amazing as was the general vibe of the hotel, cosy, relaxed yet still with a certain elegance about it.
S. M.
Great clean room and bathroom, breakfast was good and staff were pleasant. 10/10 would stay again.
D. C.

A Beautiful welcoming hotel .
Very nice and clean
M. P.
Beautiful hotel in lush countryside but still London. Very friendly staff that went out of their way to help us during our stay.
P. S.
Better value than visiting cafe with coffee at 2.60 pence and cakes and waiter service will definitely going again will visit next Sunday for luncheon treat
R. L.
Food is good but the fabric seating area alongside the patio had a lot of dirt stains making the experience less than as intended.
A. B.
Beautiful views of the park and great customer service, especially by Elizabeth. She kindly went out of her way to help tend a scrape to my chin.
R. G.

Beautiful setting and excellent, unpretentious afternoon tea that seemed fairly priced, with good service
e. b.
I wasn't happy as the bartender said loudly you have to settle your bill when i had already paid ... the waiters didn't communicate so felt embarrassed. Not a good experience
