This would be 5 stars because the location is great, the receptionist was great, the family room with bunk beds was great... However it was far too noisy. The walls were paper thin and it made it difficult for us to sleep in the evening. Then we got banged on the walls when we were up early the next morning. All we were doing was watching TV and getting ready to leave but it left me feeling anxious.

Good budget hotel, rooms have had an update in comparison to reception area so are more modernised, try to get higher floor so less noise from above as usual with hotels. Facilities such as kettle and tea/coffee in room and the room was clean. Would stay again.

There were a lot of highlights but we felt it was not quite as described in the descriptions online. The room was clean, the workers were friendly and helpful, and we felt safe in our area even though the park across the street was shady. Now the downside. We were in a room with three twin beds, in the pictures online it looks like there is at least some room to move around the room but in reality there was barely room to stand in between the beds. We could have dealt with it easier if the room wasn't a constant 85 degrees and humid while we were there. No AC sadly, we had the window open as far as it could be and one small fan going our entire stay but it did not provide relief. Also we would recommend that you try to get a room on a lower level of the hotel. We were put on Level 3 which is actually 4 flights up, again it wouldn't be as bad if it was just the steps to worry about, but when the hallway gets hot and muggy it makes it a lot worse. Also us being at the top level of the hotel is part of the reason why the heat was so hard to control. The five pound per person breakfast was all right, but since there are so many other options just around the corner for breakfast that are cheaper we went and opted out after the first day's breakfast.

Pretty great for the price and what it is. Rooms were very clean, were cleaned everday along with fresh towels. There is only one washroom and it is on the third floor, I was also on the third floor so this didn't bother me, but I could see it being annoying. The only other problem I had was that the rooms were very hot at night, making for an uncomfortable sleep. The hotel is right beside Kings Cross station which makes for easy travel into the city and surrounding areas.

Best thing is definitely the location, which was perfect. You can get a train basically anywhere in London a 5 minute walk away. Hotel itself was clean and functional, but only 2 toilets for all of the rooms and we could hear the flush of water down the pipes in our room every time. Decent for the price.

Room was small and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms (at least on the 3rd floor) were external to the rooms, shared and narrow. Warning: no elevator! Location is excellent, very close to bus stops, undergrounds, and 2 major rail stations, and plenty of small sit-down places to eat. There's also a Big Bus hop on/hop off stop nearby. Wireless access was mostly serviceable, flaky the first night but solid the next two. If you're OK with steps like we were, this place is a great value for a stay in London.

It is a very small room, but well appointed with new fixtures, a very nice staff and well located. Literally across the street from King Cross Station. I had to catch a 10:30 train, very convenient. Perfect for an overnighter. Will stay again when needing Kings Cross....

Great cozy little motel at a low price. The rooms are clean and tidy, the staff helpful and nice, and the hotel is clearly prepared for guests at any time. Located close to Kings Cross and offering little things like usb wall ports and extra pillows included in the room, it's a great place to stay. One and only downside is the lack of a lift.

I was a single traveler during my stay at Hotel Meridiana so my needs, wants and expectations are less. The hotel met my basic needs like having a nice soft bed, a good working heater (my stay was during December), warm running water in the shower, working lights and a clean room! It may not have the WOW factor of a hotel room compared to upscale hotels. Being it's my first ever visit to London, I was very comfortable with the place. I didn't travel to London to experience it only being in a mega-luxury hotel. I visited for the culture. I don't get entertained as much being in a luxury hotel and surrounded by amenities so I didn't have to stay in such a hotel. Meridiana is simple, unique as a British hospitality experience all because they are run by simple people. And they are great people with charm! As I mentioned before my needs are basic. And the hotel met those needs of mine. The staff gets a 5 star because they were nice enough to stay up late in the evening for me because my flight to Heathrow arrived late. I made pre-arrangements prior to my departure from the US with the hotel staff and they were happy to oblige. The breakfast offered is similar in choices to like a Clarion or Holiday Inn where you pick your breakfast items, heat your own waffles/pancakes and such along with fruits to take. I'll come back to stay here when I return to London. It is a 5 minute walk to St Pancras train station, about 15-20 minute walk to the British Museum. I enjoyed my three-day stay in the Meridian. Thank you folks for making this American feel 'at home'.

For the price you pay for this hotel being so close to Kings Cross train station I can't complain. Free WiFi, a terrible set of stairs to get up to the top level (I suggest to pack light in this instance). staff are friendly and willing to assist you to store your bags while you wait for check in and check out. The biggest downfall of this location was the shower and toilet or in separate rooms outside your liveable dwelling. during the heatwave it would have been better to have a sheep than a doona. Overall if you're looking at staying somewhere Central to your public transport or to other attractions this place is a good.

Unbeatable location with all of public transport a stone throw away. The area is vibrant 24/7 with restaurants shops and bars but the hotel itself lies on a quiet street. Upon arrival we were struck by the extreme cleanliness of the room (to the detriment of the rumors about the British) which was then done day by day ... the room is not very big but it is very nice and very affordable for what it costs. I recommend the superior double which is a bit larger than the one with separate single beds. There are extra blankets and pillows in the closet. The staff is very kind and willing to give directions, some of them also speak Italian, which is convenient for those unfamiliar with the language. We were very pleased especially by the location that allowed us to move everywhere on all metro and bus lines within walking distance, we will probably be guests again if we return to London! (Original) Io e la mia famiglia abbiamo preso die stanze per tre notti alla Meridiana. All'arrivo siamo rimasti colpiti dall'estrema pulizia della stanza (a discapito delle dicerie sugli inglesi) che poi è stata fatta di giorno in giorno... la stanza non è molto grande ma è molto carina e molto conveniente per quello che costa. Consiglio la matrimoniale superior che è un po più grandicella di quella coi lettini singoli separati. Nell'armadio ci sono coperte e cuscini in più. Il personale è gentilissimo e disponibile a dare indicazioni, alcuni di loro parlano anche italiano, il che è comodo per chi non è pratico con la lingua. Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti soprattutto dalla posizione che ci ha permesso di spostarci ovunque su tutte le linee della metro e dei bus a due passi, probabilmente saremo nuovamente ospiti se dovessimo tornare a Londra!
