I have been using Ibis hotel on frequent basis I regularly book the ibis hotel London City Shoreditch. The Staff are great they never fail to keep me happy . I use the day use always when I like to work away from home and also like to have a me time to myself. The rooms I get are wonderful. Coming from experience hotel industry I can say ibis is the best. As I used to work for serviced apartments and its been a dream of mine to work in a place I regularly use I suggest to all to book ibis hotel London City Shoreditch the staff are the best

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Good location, clean, modern. BUT how can there be no room for left luggage? I have stayed in *many* Accor hotels and this is the only one that couldn't store luggage. Having to leave it at (e.g.) a train station is not at all handy.

Had a fantastic stay! The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was wonderful and there was a lot to choose from and would suit anyone's palate. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Good location, next to underground. Good price with good breakfast. Suitable for travellers who like to explore UK /London and not stay inside hotel rooms all day long. Reception staff warm and welcoming.

My friend and I stayed in this hotel for a week and we never had any problems, the staff is very kind and helpful.
ps: the breakfast is very good
unfortunately we left at night and we could not say goodbye to some of the staff with whom we had exchanged a few words this week. if i return to london i would definitely choose this hotel again

A great hotel in a superb location, ideal for a short city break! Literally 30 seconds away from Aldgate East tube station, as well as many bus stops. Easy walking and public transport distance to lots of attractions around the city. 🚶🏼♂️🚇🚍
The hotel itself is clean, tidy, minimalistic, and modern, with the main lobby featuring large open spaces and a bar/restaurant next to reception. Staff are on hand 24/7, and food and drink can be purchased round the clock too. An all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet is provided in the mornings (for an additional cost if you haven't added it during your booking) which is certainly worth the money as lots of British and Continental food and drinks are on offer for consumption! 🤤
The rooms are clean and tidy, and quite spacious too, and are well presented to guests upon arrival. The bathroom/toilet/shower was clean and was stocked with a few wash soaps for use in the shower which was a convenience! The bed was comfy, and allowed for a great nights sleep! The view from our particular room was great, especially at sunset, and featured views of of London's financial district and subsequent buildings within it! 😍🌇
We love an ibis, and always generally stay in them on our trips away, as they are clean, tidy, have everything we need, and are certainly worth the money! This particular hotel was no different to any others we have visited! 💯

This is a very Standard breakfast as any other ibis, however thanks to the team smiles and their obvious good team work our morning went from good to great!
We have a delightful time with
Sara, Diyan, Merhawit, they are absolutely good at what they do !
We never have to ask for anything as all was ready and replenish in time,
We also hear about the incredible hard work from, Alex and Eva in the kitchen
A massive thank you for all of them !!!

I have to say that it's a good hotel as train station is very close and price is reasonable.Staffs are very polite and happy to help with smile. I would have loved the hotel if room was cleaned properly before check-in as after check-in no housekeeping will enter your room because of this covid situation and the tray cups spoons etc were really dirty and I had to washed those. I stayed 3 nights with my Hubby and my kid but no room cleaning at all. Breakfast was good and reasonable price but got bored as it was same for continuous 3 days. Room was small but would have been OK if they would have given a proper closet and bedside drawers.

Expectations surpassed for a budget hotel ...clean comfortable, great staff and customer service. Superb breakfast cant fault it will defo use this as a default place to stay in London.BZ to you 👍

Ladies and Gentlemen, GOOD NEWS! Found an extremely good hotel that was worth every single penny spent on it. I am traveling from far so I needed to be sure that everything will go smoothly and with no tricky news and requirements related to the CO*** situation. Elizaveta was wonderful, so charismatic, and helpful. I specially requested for a wake-up call and she didn't hesitate to help. ( By the way, there is no phone in the rooms so she was calling me on whatsup!). I would definitely say that the service in this hotel is on the top! Recommend to all positive and good people! Warm Regards, Val!

All staff were nice. Room was clean. Only pizza available in the hotel in an evening which is disappointing and had run out of some toppings. Breakfast starts at 7 which meant I had to miss it. Tesco express next door which is handy but with homeless sleeping outside. Bed was okay and water pressure on the shower could be a bit better. All in all visit was okay.
A. M.
Staff very friendly and couldn't do enough to help if needed, Olga went out of her way to be helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, (although no need to change towel after one night, this would help the environment)!. Hotel in a great position with buses and tube so close for everything. All in all a very pleasant stay!
R. M.
Had some issues with a toilets not working in the rooms. However, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and changing rooms was no problem. Rooms typical Ibis, so clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.
M. B.
EDIT
After the below review I asked the reception if it was possible to clean the room and add all the missing items such as soap.
They did and afterwards we had a wonderful stay.
....
Lots of people standing inside the lobby while waiting for the bus. Creates an unsafe environment.
Also reception is really mixed, sometimes really helpful, sometimes realty unclear.
No ventilation in the bathroom, so time your shower & bathroom breaks when you're a couple :,)
Dirty sink & empty soap pumps when walked in the room.
But most worrisome, the very dirty bed furniture. The linnens look great, but when I look to the side the fabric of the furniture is super dirty. As is the floor next to the bed.
L. P.
Good size room & clean, helpful & friendly staff. Bar service a little slow, but always with a smile & polite. Decent breakfast with plenty of choice & dietary options. Good tramsport links. Did not eat here other than b'fast.
M. T.
Lovely set up of the hotel room, very clean, comfortable bed, quiet place for a good night sleep, to rejuvenate and do some work, I like that there's an option of connecting your device to the TV via casting, all staff were welcoming at the reception, bar area and breakfast, breakfast buffet offers plenty of choices.
M. V.
Great comfortable beds, but no chilling in room and a bit to noisy outside to keep window open. Nice staff breakfast was good. Great location to get around.

My stay at Ibis London City Shoreditch was 🤩 and utmost relaxing..
The reception was exceptionally welcoming towards me with bright smiles and energy!😄
the bar staff were very very amiable🤝🍻 good vibes as well as caring when it came to serving my drinks and dinner🍕 during the evening.
When I entered my hotel room the temperatures were perfect considering how overly 🥶 it was in London during the time I checked in, the room was very nice-looking🤩, pristinely neat and tidy✨, there was a pretty sized tv right in front of the bed conveniently which I used to watch movies through movie streaming apps🎬 such as Prime and Netflix during the night by pairing the Tv with my phone via hyper fast hotel Wi-Fi👍🏼.
The bed was unimaginably cozy, satisfying as well spacious, I literally sank into it😮💨.
The buffet breakfast was mouthwatering🤤 and flavoursome, the chefs are top notch! and the attending staff in the lobby were outstanding and service focused👌
I most definitely recommend staying in this hotel if you’re looking to treat yourself to an out of the norm relaxing🌌 and good vibes experience🌟✨

So lovely. Asked if possible to add some speacial touches for our anniversary. Room was so very cute! Thankyou so much! We will be back x

Lovely hotel in the best location for sightseeing.
The staff is amazing and very welcoming! The sweet bed and breakfast definetely made the difference betwen other hotels 🙂
N.
Very good hotel with helpful staff. Well located, comfy rooms and delicious breakfast as well. Would definitely come back

Booked to stay overnight whilst away with work. Great location right on the main road in Shoreditch and Aldgate Station is minutes away. There are lots of shops, bars and restaurants close by to choose from so you're spoilt for choice.
I stayed in a double sweet room which was modern and clean and spacious enough for me. Bed was comfty and I slept well.
No complaints about the staff. All were friendly and helpful.
The only downside was they don't have a luggage store so when I arrived early before check-in and asked if I could leave my bag whilst I attended my conference, they could only offer me an early check-in so I could leave my bag in my room which cost me £10.
J. J.
Beautiful hotel and great location. Staff very friendly and the rooms are clean! We had a fabulous stay.
H. V. D. H.
Pleasant rooms and a very friendly staff. Good breakfast. The underground station is just around the corner.
J.
Overall, I had a great experience; staff were incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect location for a quick trip to London.
A. P.
Rooms are great, service is great, awesome helpful staff
Special mention about the bigger than usual smart tv in the room and adequate wifi
Only thing if I were to be nitpicking is no luggage storage given London is a tourist hub, and may be a couple bottles of water in every room couldn't hurt
S. D.
Check in was quick and easy and pleasantly the hotel had met my pre check in requests which was great, given a room high up with a city view. The room however had some issues and so I was asked to relocate and given a couple of rooms to choose from which was very accommodating by the check in staff.
All staff in hotel friendly. My only complaint was I asked the cleaner to remove some rubbish from my room and she asked me to do this myself, not sure if this was a 'lost in translation' moment or the cleaner was having a bad day, however that is my only complaint.
The hotel does look a bit tired in places and some rooms could do with a paint refresh. The 2 rooms I did use did need additional cleaning as I found dust on shelves and on lamps and some places not thoroughly hoovered in the room, so gave a once over with some dettol wipes , but feedback to housekeeping would to check such places between room changes.
Overall a good place to stay, close to Aldgate East tube station and Liverpool Street station. I stayed here for business and will most likely stay here again on my next business trip to London.

Great staff, everyone very friendly. Room was spotless. Good selection at breakfast

Excellent! Ideal location close to the underground and very helful and kind service. The rooms are comfy and very clean.

Very good. Nice room easy check in. The reception staff (one was Helga I think) superb.
Recommended.

Staff very attentive, made me feel special during my stay.
Close to the station, breakfast excellent!

Loved this hotel. Very convenient location and welcoming staff. It was a very lovely stay with my family.
M. Z.
Clean and tidy, friendly staff. Bit overpriced for a budget hotel but it's London. Everything is much more expensive.
B. H.
Great budget hotel, perfectly comfortable and clean, no suprised. As you would hope for a convenient simple stay. Note; need to bring your own toiletries as there is only 1 all purpose liquid sop provided which would do the job but not great as a shampoo.
N. K.
Really great hotel, clean, friendly, good location and has everything you need. We will certainly stay again
k. c.
Very clean hotel room, spacious, the only downside is the amount of traffic noise from outside and the lack of tea/coffee available in the rooms.
L. H.
Clean and comfortable, nice quiet room, had a good night's sleep. Choice at breakfast was brilliant. Good location for east Central London.

Hotel 3 star
Staff 5 star
Food 5 star
Simple as that. 10minute walk to Liverpool Street and quite safe and calm streets in the area. Not much noise, except ambulances.
N. S.
Lovely staff, the hotel was clean, and it is in a convenient location. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
L. P.
Great staff always keen to help, rooms kept clean and good breakfast.
A. F.
The hotel was clean and nice. you are also allowed early check in and later check out depending on availability for only £10 each which is a good price.
One thing which could make the hotel better is near by parking but overall 9/10
T.
I stayed here for a birthday celebration and was grateful for the staff who looked after us.
N. C.
amazing team, treated like royalty, the staff are really helpful and have thought of everything to make your stay an a* stay
5 stars deserved no doubt
G. B.
Amazing. Very nice and clean room. Kind staff. Near Aldgate station. Definitely recommend it
O. K.
Great experience. Needed a last minute room after missing my train out of London from Liverpool street. Paula at the front desk was ever so helplful and friendly. Really impressed by the service and assistance. Would definitely come back. The room was clean and tidy. Good breakfast too!
R. C.
Got moved here as the Ibis Whitechapel had been closed. Booked a twin room. Nice hotel. Comfortable but small single beds. Good wifi. Had an iron, ironing board and hairdryer in the room. Bathroom is a bit like one you get on a ferry but the shower was a good size and had decent shower pressure. Had body wash and shampoo supplied. Wasn't impressed with the bath towels. Very rough and not very big. Didn't like the step up into the bathroom either. Reception staff very friendly. Very convenient for Aldgate East tube. Would stay again.
A. C.
One of the best hotels with a safe and calm atmosphere and pleasant ambiance.
A. O.
Brilliant staff and the breakfast is excellent (full English and buffet style)
s. M.
Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, easy check in/out
K. A.
I liked this hotel it was clean with nice decor. The staff were polite and seemed organized. For one night it cost us 65 pounds which was great for a Saturday night. The bedroom was a good size with hairdryer and ironing board. The bathroom was very basic but with a powerful shower. It would have been nice if they had soya milk options instead of cow's milk for the tea and coffee in the morning. The bed was very comfortable however the pillows seemed really thick. Overall a great stay and will definitely stay here again
L. I. w. s.
Nice room good service just a walk a 5 minute down to the dlr station
A. K.
Same as any other budget hotel in the city. Close to metro and lots of food in the very next street especially turkish
C. H.
Staff were extremely polite and helpful, and the hotel/room were clean, tidy and pleasant to be in.
W.
Very very good staff, breakfast good as long as you catch it fresh, the meat etc got tough/hard on second day (must have been me just going for it thinking would be fine, If you find so complain), lesson learned, was brill other days (not been sitting there 30 mins), staff again very good, room was a little small, but would recommend!

American traveling to London for the first time. This is a wonderful hotel and I highly recommend it. It's well priced, clean, comfortable, and in a prime location to the tube and sightseeing. Everything "touristy" was a quick and easy ride on the District or Central line. A few things I thought I'd share: There is no AC in the room (there is heat). Apparently this is very common in London (according to one of the bartenders we chatted with at a pub within walking distance). The good news is you can open the window a few inches to freshen the air. We were there in March and the temperature outside averaged in the low and mid 40s. The room was always comfortable. The bathroom is like a cruise ship bathroom (capsule type plastic room), but with a larger shower (the water pressure was fantastic). Only room for one when getting ready. There is no small fridge or microwave, so keep that in mind if planning to keep some drinks or snacks cool, or want to make some popcorn. The room is small. There is enough room to walk comfortably around the bed. There is room on a stand for one suitcase, and if you don't want to sit at the desk you can use it for the other. The closet is not really a closet. You can hang garments in it... Probably 5-10. There is no phone in the room, but if you need assistance you can text a number (or walk downstairs). Again, a fantastic place to stay and I highly recommend!
A. H.
Great location for a weekend away, walking distance to several attractions. Hotel excellent value and staff are most obliging.

very pleasant! Staff friendly, location just perfect, close to the station! Will be back.

Great stay, rooms nice and clean, friendly staff

Smart, clean and friendly... really good brekkie too! Thank you

Straight off the high street, near the under ground 5 minutes away.
Rooms very clean and staff friendly.Breakfast is good

Was only there for a night, however the service was exceptional, especially from the receptionist Shofique who was super helpful and saved our night!

Staff are so friendly and I think that’s Ibis diferencial among other hotels. The rooms are clean, breakfast is fresh, I have nothing to complain. During my 11 days stay at Ibis (while I was in London for work) Ferdinando looked after me making me special machine coffees which made me feel special :) Thank you! I’d just like to complement saying that my stay would had been even better if I had a safe and a small fridge in the room, as well as variety in the breakfast. After so many days it feels a little the same. But that comment aside, great stay!
R. E.
Inexpensive, good location (three tube lines run through Aldgate East) and comfy beds. Would stay again.
d. d.
Friendly staff, the room was really nice and clean.

Lovely Hotel, good location. The staff are excellent. I enjoyed my stay. I loved the room and had a great rest after the days work. Only thing i was dissapointed with were sausages and eggs at breakfast. I just didn't like the taste. Hope they add more cheese's. All in all excellent hotel to stay while in London.
M. H.
Great stay. Friendly and helpful team. Close to everything in London
D. P.
Great location. Hotel room was Ok, I say ok as there were a few issues of which we didn't have time to complain about. Firstly areas of the room were not the cleanest - attention to detail edges of bed, around the sink & shower. Then there was the issue of smell, it smelt like a very bad body odour smell. We left the window open the whole evening until we returned. It had eased but we left the window open all night & it was tolerable. We simply did not have time to complain as we were staying in London for a function.
Shame I've never had problems with Ibis hotels before. It won't deter me from staying in them again.
O. P.
Good value for money, especially for business travellers. Close to the city centre, metro station is within 2 minutes walk. Small grocery store is located next door.
Modern express check in, which is really impressive.
Rooms are clean and up to date. Bed - comfortable.
Breakfast - good, but the same choice of food every day, so, if you stay here for a week, you are bored with the lack of variety.
L. G.
Friendly hotel staff, room clean and tidy, breakfast the next day was very tasty and hotel less then 10 min walk from Tower Bridge, good location
N. C.
Me and my mother stayed here from the 14-18 of February and had a great stay. The staff was friendly and very quick on their feet to help out with any issues. The breakfast was complete and the staff was quick with the refills of the buffet. The coffee was great as well. The room is clean, but very compact. All the necessities are available, but you should not expect a lot of space in the sweet rooms. The walls are a bit thin, so it could be a bit noisy at times but this was not too disruptive. The neighbourhood (Aldgate/Shoreditch/Whitechapel) is beautiful with many things to see and amazing spots to grab some food. There is a metro station, Aldgate East station, right around the corner of the hotel (not even a two-minute walk)You should definitely check out the Korean joint right across from the hotel, and the Sunday markets in Shoreditch.
Because we arrived on Valentine’s Day, a family member had emailed the hotel asking if they would be able to have some flowers, chocolates and a card ready in the room when we arrived. The hotel did not answer the email; however, when we arrived in our room we were welcomed with all of the requested items.
All in all, we had a very pleasant stay at the Ibis London City Shoreditch
G. K.
We got to the hotel at about 8 pm and we didn’t have to walk far as it is right around the corner from the underground. There was just a desk at the entrance with lots of people around it and it turned out that this was the lobby and check in area. Check in was fast as I had checked in online and we got room 1003.
The tiny elevator took us to the 10th floor the hall leading to the room showed that this is a hotel that tries to be hip and trendy. The room was not bad in size (considering that this is London) and the floor had a brownish/red carpet while the walls were greyish. There was a small flat screen TV mounted on the wall, a small desk and chair and a “wardrobe” in the corner that contained a few hangers and iron and ironing board. The desk did contain a water boiler with the option of making tea and coffee but there was no small minibar and there were no safe. The wifi was easy to connect to and gave a 10 Mbps line. The bed is not gigantic, but the matrass was not bad at all, but the pillows were a bit on the hard side.
The toilet and shower seemed to be a module that was just placed in the room and it is small. As usually there were not enough hooks to hang stuff like toiletry bags and towels. There were no amenities and shower gel and hand soap are just from dispensers. The shower was good, but the towels were a bit worn out and had a distinct smell of bleach. There is not very good ventilation in the bathroom, so the bathroom gets very steamy once you take a shower.
Breakfast was served on ground floor and on the first morning we came early and there was a nice selection of scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, bread etc. The next day we came a bit later and the breakfast area was very very busy. So, it does not seem like the breakfast restaurant is big enough to deal with number of guest in peak periods. I would have enjoyed seeing oats in the breakfast selection but that is just me.
The neighborhood contains restaurants, shops and it is a 2 minute walk to the subway station. It is a short walk to old Spitafields market and there are lots and lots of restaurants in the Shoreditch area.
Conclusion: a nice modern room in a budget hotel but it would have been great with a bit more space and hooks. The area is good for eating out and it is easy to get around as there is subway station next door. I would not mind staying here again.
J.
Very nice hotel with good location. Delicious breakfast and helpful staff.
R. F.
My in-laws had a fabulous time !!! Such an amazing experience
D. H.
The best thing was the speedy check in and check out. The room was clean and comfortable with everything I needed (including tea and coffee facilities, iron and hairdryer in the room). Breakfast was good although only vegetarian options were available - no problem though as the pastries were good. Relaxed atmosphere and easy access to tube stations (Circle and District lines). The location isn't the best but it was handy for me as I was there on business in Fenchurch Street.
J. H.
We had a very good stay at ibis in Shoreditch! The hotel is just around the corner from a subway station and in the area there's a lot of good restaurants, also Brick Lane is just next by. The rooms where clean, quiet and new as well as the rest of the facilities. It would have been great to have a mini fridge and a safety box in the room. We did not eat the hotel breakfast as it was a bit expensive and you might as well have it in any of the excellent cafes in the area. Also we had an incident with someone working at the hotel banging on our door at 9am, waking us up only to ask if we where checking out today.
That aside it's a very good hotel in a nice area and we would definetly come back!
M. D.
Rooms are extremely small. Staff is very friendly. The breakfast is worth the extra few bucks you pay when booking a room (the croissants are excellent). Just wish the washroom had some room where you can get out of the shower without hitting the toilet on the way out.
M. G.
I gave this hotel 3 stars because it was fine, but not great. Everything was clean (which is very important to me) but the linens on the bed and in the bathroom all smelled like wet sheep to both me and my husband every day we were there. That was the biggest issue for us. The staff was very polite and helpful whenever we interacted with them. Their breakfast we had one day, and it wasn’t worth their price. There were plenty of other breakfast places in the same price range close to the hotel which tasted much better!
W. H.
Superb location, and the whole experience from walking into a clean spacious modern lobby with no check in desk and friendly staff to the innovative ways to order food via Whatsapp or get help in 15 min for anything makes it highly recommended.
The 24 hr bar makes it welcoming to come back to after a night out and the breakfast is very good and caters to many tastes.
Exceeded expectations by far.
S. F.
Excellent staff and great location. Bed was superb
M. G.
A summary would be. Clean comfortable budget hotel for a short stay with overnight baggage, which is very convenient for the tube and a short walk into the city. The breakfast on an inclusive deal was great.
It's an Ibis. One of the economy Accor brands. What you get is the brand. Well implemented.
They warn you that breakfast will be busy at peak times. So avoid peak times.
There is no air conditioning. So open the window.
There are no toiletries other than soap. If you want more there is a grocery next door.
The bathroom is prefabricated. Everything in in worked.
Only two slightly negative comments.
The bath towels looked grubby but were clean. Maybe someone just picked a grubby colour!
And you are right on the borderline between the affluence of the city and the east end. The last block before you get into an altogether more interesting neighborhood.
M. M.
Nice budget accommodation place with also option for day room rate. The location is just off central London but still easy walking distance. Rooms are quiet and up to date with furniture and basic amenities. Nothing fancy but nothing really missing either. Friendly and very quick check in which is nice when you are tired. Definitely would stay again.
F. T.
Check-in was simple and efficient and our room was ready when we arrived. The room is basic but clean and sufficient for our stay, only down side being no hand towels? We thought it was an oversight but asked the room steward who could only provide bath towels and a shower mat! The hotel in general was fresh and modern and had a quiet ambience for such a busy area. We had arranged a late checkout which suited our travel plans perfectly. All in all we were very happy and would use again - but maybe we should consider bringing our own hand towels.
T. P.
The hotel is nice and clean. The service is very ok with friendly staff.
The rooms a small with no refrigerator, but with a good bed.
Internet connection is poor and can't be used for work.
Transportation to city center is perfect.
Breakfast is fair.
T. P.
We stayed here for 5 days and we liked it very much. The room was clean and spacious, we had everything we needed, hair dryer, ironing board and so on. Breakfast was varied and everything was very good. I recommend!
T. S.
It was nice stay for us. Hotel is on very good location not only for business travelers but also for tourists which was our case. Hotel seems to be renovated or newly refurbished. Reception and lobby looks very modern and nice. Staff were very welcoming and easy to communicate. Room was very nice as well. Nicely decorated and looks new and modern which I liked. Size of the room was nice surprise for me as I was expecting smaller room but this was good. Bed was very comfy. Bathroom and especially shower was not so small as it is usual which pleasured me and I enjoyed it. Room was also very clean which is important to me. All in all we have very nice stay at hotel and would stay again with no hesitation.
L. M.
Friendly staff, good location, clean rooms.
I. M.
Great locatoin and staf but the room is small and Air Conditioning isn't work well
A. M.
The hotel I come to whenever I have a trip to London.
Very welcoming, and everything is close by.
Any place in London is reachable from here as this location is where 5 different underground train lines meet...
K. B.
Needed a hotel near to Barbican. Have stayed in several Ibis hotels, mainly in France and Germany but not in UK. Was very impressed. Check in wad very efficient with the staff using smartphones to bring up my reservation. Quickly up to my room and was immediately impressed with the overall sensation. Was very pleased to have tea/coffee making facilities which I've not had before at an Ibis. Nice comfy bed ensured a good night's sleep. Great extensive breakfast choices in the morning rounded off a most pleasant stay. Well done to all at the hotel.
M. G. F.
Great rooms and location just steps away from the tube station. Very clean. Breakfast is a bit chaotic, the dining room is very small and it takes them a long time to clear up tables with the result you end up eating surrounded by dirty crockery. The food quality is otherwise good.
D. P.
Best hotel in London! Thanks for your hospitality 😀😀
F. S.
Small feeling rooms with airplane plastic feel. TV was so small I think my tablet has a bigger screen! But it was clean, staff were ok and the location is handy for trendy bars. Few homeless people outside but it feels safe enough inside. I would say that they seem to take security seriously which is a god thing in today's climate.
M. M.
Comfortable stay in a very good location..!
Very friendly staff. Very good restaurant too even though they had limited items in their menu.
Good location.
Communication within the hotel is via. whatsapp.
Breakfast buffet was good.
Limited number of items on main food menu in the restaurant.
Had some problem with the bathroom drainage.
S. W.
I stayed here for 2 nights due to work. The check-in staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy with plenty of space including hanging space plus a desk. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was also good (although the whole bathroom is a plastic pod fitted into the room). There was a wide selection of food for breakfast, all self-service with machines for coffee.
The hotel is in a good location, only 15 minutes walk from Tower Bridge and right next to Aldegate East underground station.
C. M.
Very simple and clean hotel, located right next to Aldgate East tube station. There was a major issue checking in, still unsure where the fault lay for that one. The first assistant was very dismissive, but the 2 who followed we're incredibly helpful and they were finally able to locate our booking after 30 minutes. I was pleased to read we had one of the new Sweetbed suites, which they rave about, however the 'amazing' new bed (which, they say, helps you sleep like a rock star...) left me bemused. It was extremely hard and not comfortable at all. If they hadn't made a song and dance about their new beds, I would have thought nothing of it. But I was genuinely confused as to why they thought these beds were so great :s Anyway, locality was great and rooms were clean. If you've long hair and want a shower, take your own conditioner. Stated for 2 nights and I'm pleased to say they replenished the mini tea and coffee stand in the room (this is one of my measures) though I bought my own tea and coffee anyway, because I am never satisfied :p Interior design was nothing out of the ordinary, bar was expensive (I thought) but then, it is London. I would stay here again, though I'm not sure there's too much difference between a standard and Sweetbed double room.

Fantastic location, one hundred yards from Aldgate East, smashing staff, very modern hotel. 😂
C. C.
Great location, hotel room is alright for two. Not too cramped, but not very big too. The buffet breakfast offered quiet a few choices, nothing to complain about.
Just like what you'll expect from ibis hotels.
P. H.
Firstly, the staff here are amazing. They are so incredibly helpful, hospitable and friendly and every, single, one of them went above and beyond.
WiFi is also important at any hotel and we stayed on the top floor right at the end and had a fast reliable connection.
The Room is basic but has all you need and does it’s best to feel reasonably luxurious given the price point. You get everything, from extra pillows, to a desk to a digital tv.
The location is great and right next to a tube station, Tesco, cash point and the brilliantly cosmopolitan Shoreditch.
This would be a five star stay apart from this hotel having my two pet hates! A shower fan that WILL NOT TURN OFF! It was squeaking away all night! The second is - no air con, but an air “circulator” that guess what... doesn’t turn off! ALL NIGHT!
The staff can not be to blame for these building defects but my god do they ruin an otherwise great stay!
C. B.
I stay here quite a bit with work. The hotel is well appointed, the beds are comfy and the rooms are quiet. Otherwise the room is quite basic and the bathrooms are plastic pots that are quite well worn. No irons in the room but there is an ironing room on alternating floors. 24 hour food available and the bar in reception is open till late.
M. F.
Clean and well located hotel. Helpful staff
E. B.
Good hotel with superb beds in the city centre with a metro station around the corner! Nice big shower cabins and clean rooms. There is an adapter with USB inputs in your room too. Lobby looks modern & fresh, corridors could get an uplift though (dark & gloomy) A mini fridge and extra pillow could have been helpful as well. Breakfast seemed a bit expensive so we just went to the Tesco Express next door.
J. A.
Not bad for a quick overnight business trip.
The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfy.
I ate solo in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly. The food was the only left down, I had chicken from the special menu which tasted like something frozen you'd expect from Captain Birdseye. The beer was good though.
C. O. K.
The hotel has a rather informal atmosphere, the check-in desk is not so much a separate desk as a table where the staff is ready to help you. The whole entrance floor is a big open area with check-in/out, lounge, bar, breakfast area and restaurant.
The rooms are on the small side, but not uncomfortably small, there's a one-piece built-in bathroom and air-conditioning. We stayed two people for a total of three night, spread over two different stays, with no problems. We even checked in early one day (requires a free membership) and had our luggage stored twice after checking out.
The hotel is situated very centrally, right next door to the metro line and in walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants.
I. B.
Great hotel, excellent staff. Absolutely no complaints. I was admiring a cushion they had and was then handed it as a 'Christmas present'
Rooms were clean and plenty of room. Hotel central for the large markets and underground to the city.
I would recommend this hotel without a doubt. This is my second stay here and will not be my last!!
G. G.
The hotel is really nice, the lobby, bar and restaurant are great, location couldn't be better.
I had a few issues with my room, temperature is too hot in all the rooms, windows can't be open there is no fan in the room, after taking a shower the room is hotter. The restroom has no extractor so any bad odor plus the hotness of the room no good combination. The remote control of the TV didn't work and the drainage of the shower was plugged. All are small things that can be fixed really quick and the personnel was willing to do but they shouldn't be wrong in the first place, also I just stayed two nights so at least one was not very satisfying.
The hotel could be the best deal in London if don't have this issues since there is no other with the facilities, location and price that Ibis has.
P. D.
We were very pleasantly surprised, the room was great, comfortable bed and pillows, tv at right height. The bathroom area was abit like a space pod but actually loved it, and the shower was spacious and powerful, would definitely stay again. Didn't have breakfast as it seemed expensive..
J. o.
Lovely hotel. Right next to the underground station, Check in was quick, room beautiful, with tea and coffee plus biscuit facilities. Only downside was that the bath towel was small, looked more like a hand towel and looked like it had seen better days, more of brown than white. Had a curry for dinner which was tasteless in my opinion but the evening entertainment more than made for the disappointing meal. Overall, great hotel and will go back.
M. N.
Recommendable to other traveller! It was all in all pretty good! Comfortable bed, clean shower, cleaning service was great too.
Breakfast tased good!
Only improvement: We couldnt cool down in our room, so we had to open the window, which was very loud because from the noise outside.
L. M.
Good hotel, clean and funky/modern decor and rooms. Friendly staff but very disorganised, we waited an hour to check in and then when we wanted to order food we had to get up from the tables and locate someone to take our orders. Although we only ordered sandwiches it took a good 45 minutes despite the fact that we were the only customers in the restaurant..
Also very very loud music.
I would recommend to stay but not to eat there.
J. P.
It’s a typical ibis. Clean, comfortable with polite staff. Close to the tube.
N. P.
It's a good Hotel. It was exciting to stay here and it's near to metro so convenient to travel to any place.
Rooms are good, neat and clean. Only I felt that room size is a little small. Restroom is fine.
Good WiFi
Television
Convenient to Metro
You can go by walk to Tower of London, Tower Bridge and Tower Hill. Just 10-12 mins walk.
I missed Indian Restaurants near by. It was there but 15-20 mins walk away.
Overall, it's good place to stay at the Center of London.
If you are still reading till here, don't forget to like this review.

This ibis was clean, well priced, and in a great location. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The bar was modern and had a good selection including and crafted cocktails. This was our first ever ibis stay! We loved it so much, we booked an ibis for our Paris break too. Will be staying again on our next weekend London short break.
E. B.
The members of the staff were nice and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was very good in general, even if the section for cheese and ham didn't have variation. Food was well cooked and tasty. The location was very convenient, just next to the tube.
M. R.
Nice stuff, beds are comfortable. Rooms are Clean and tidy. Bathroom was neat and clean. I just feel home in my short stay. Overall I would suggest my friends and family.
D. M.
We enjoyed a 2 day stay in stylish rooms with nice views of some London landmarks close by. The Hotel is very fashionable and stylish, the breakfasts are served until 12 at weekends which is great for visitors enjoying the London nightlife and the breakfast spread was impressive. I would have liked to have seen more hot choice at breakfast with perhaps mushrooms and tomatoes added for a healthy balance. The bathroom 'pods' are certainly unusual and the doors sills slippy but easy to use and ample hot water. The check in service was very casual, quick and easy and the bar in the hotel open late and offered a decent choice. Some craft beers on draught or in cans/bottles would be a great addition however.
C. D.
Was not impressed with the room. It smelt like a smokers room. Was very old fashioned and a high price. However it was clean, but I would choose Travel Lodge over Ibis next time purely as a far cheaper option. Good location for Aldgate tube.
S. C.
Good hotel in a great location. The reception needs a desk, but the bar is Confiteor enough, the food is fine and the is plenty of other food in the area. The rooms are spacious and the shower is plenty strong and hot enough. Would stay again.
M. -. S. C. T.
Good hotel, comfy beds, clean room and bathroom, 24 concierge and a nice hotel bar. Very quiet room. I've dropped a star becaue the bath towels were very thin other that no complaints and I would recomend this hotel so those looking for a quiet, safe comfortable hotel within walking distance to shoreditch and brick lane nightlife.
K. W.
The rooms were "cozy" but doable since the prices where cheaper than other hotels. Splurge on buying breakfast because they have a large selection of breakfast times. I could even get a full English Breakfast! Hotel is right around the corner from the Tube which was excellent. Plus, a mini grocery store was right next door. However, lots of homelessness in the area and the streets tend to be a little dirty but great hotel. Staff were very helpful and so kind.
O. M.
The heating in the room was minimal. Basic toiletries missing in the room. The view was not great either.
Liveable, but I expected more. The same breakfast everyday gets a bit monotonous.
R. V.
That was really really lovely. I have chosen this particular hotel for my FBB and could hardly been satisfied as a guest more!!
The reception team was really efficient, so welcoming and very polite even though the queue of group was waiting to check in and the lobby area got immediately very busy.
I have been staying in 5 different IBIS standard hotels before and this one was absolutely the best.
At the very beginning we were given the room which turned out having some maintenance issue, so I called the reception. The phone was picked up within one signal! The lady apologised for inconvenience and immediately offered herself to simply change the room which was for our surprise - even better - with beautiful view to London's famous skyscrapers etc.. I could hardly expect that given what I saw before in other standard IBIS hotels and the experience of my colleagues going elsewhere for FBB... It was nice to be treated nicely, really...
The second day we came downstairs to the restaurant to have some lunch, ordered food and asked if there is a chance to get some tap water. Some places simply refuse to give it as they sell bottled water but the lady at the bar was incredible. She was doing her job and just asked: would you like me to slice some lemon for you in it?
That was really good manners. I would hardly imagine someone offering you to slice some lemon if you order just tap water!
Food was lovely served, beautiful and the rest met the standard what you could actually expect going to any other IBIS Standard hotel.
Location is also a plus.
But the service you receive there is incredibly outstanding and amazing. I would really advise anybody to go there - you will definitely not regret!
E. M.
Very nice hotel and comfortable rooms.
a. c.
Stayed here for 2 nights, and the staff were awesome. Flora and Sara, took into consideration my situation, and went out of their way to help me. I will definitely stay here again.
E. M.
The hotel is indeed bright as they claim, and conveniently located next to Aldgate stations and at walking distance from the City. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Rooms are standard Ibis ones as you will find anywhere else. The problem with our room is that it was not really clean (crumbs around, some hair in the bed, not maintained carpets...). Overall Ok for the price
S. W.
Modern, but basic hotel in easy walking distance of the city. Reception staff insisted on checking availability, despite me having a reservation and they then bizarrely offered me a room more expensive than the one I had reserved. However, once that was resolved, the room was fine. Standard IBIS format, but fine for a nights stay. Kettle for tea and coffee, and iron, hair dryer, TV etc. Very quiet on the floor I was on, both inside out outside hotel.
A. M.
Nice an clean place to stay and staff are friendly. I'm just not a fan of bathroom pods. They're great for modular construction, not so much to use. Plenty of choice for breakfast.
D. G.
The staff informed me of a free upgrade in a better room between the 8th and the 10th floor, but the final result was that we had a 6th floor room (concretely, room number 657). Sincerely, we think that the room wasn't the room we expected (the web photographs showed better rooms and better bathrooms in sweet rooms).
Moreover, we found the breakfast few varied (all the days were the same) and sometimes too much crowded (without enough room and cutlery).
The bed was awesome and the staff were so professional and close. We think that the air conditioner didn't worked properly. The towel's size were little and one day there weren't any towels in the room.
G. S.
Very nice hotel, but pillows have had mouth smell of other guests, what make sleeping on it not easy. And also the were made of bricks, so hard. We got room with windows in Courtyard so it was very very quiet.
A. B.
Good value for money. Very quiet rooms. All the necessary for a good night sleep. Staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast perfect with selection of pastries, bread, cereals, fruit, savoury slices etc. Close to underground.
G. O.
I was meant to write this review a while ago, but life!
My friend and I come to this hotel very regularly to use the dining area. In all of our time of going ANDREA has been the BEST member of staff that we've come across. Very kind and professional. She deserves a raise as she provides such excellent service. We wish you all the best Andrea!
H. G.
Had a great stay here. Free fast internet, late checkout, comfy beds and really helpful staff. The lounge area is also very nice. The only downside was the pipework in the wall next to room was rather loud sometimes.
J. P.
On the 10th floor, a comfortable double bed in an reasonably sized very clean room. After a 5 night stay, I would happily return. An underground station is located just steps away. The breakfast was quite nice with various options available.
L. E.
Good hotel in Shoreditch. The staff was nice and the room was clean. The breakfast was okay for the additional price you had to pay.
The location is very close to the tube and there is a supermarket next to it. The hotel is very good for a short weekend trip to London.
D. M.
The hotel is very well located. Just a short walk from the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge. There is an underground station literally just around the corner. The room was very comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was excellent. The breakfast room was a bit crowded at times but we could always find a place to sit.
O. H.
I had a pleasant stay here for one night and will definitely consider staying here again in the future. The place is very convenient to get to from London City Airport with just a single connection, well located for visits to Tower of London and Tower Bridge, and plenty of pubs and restaurants around. The staff were very nice and helpful, breakfast was decent also.
P. A.
Quick, polite and friendly staff. Rooms are fine for 2 people, look similar to their competition (and that's not a bad thing) and are clean and comfortable. The resteraunt part is nice and the breakfast is both full English and continental with nice coffee(!)
Located a literal 2 mins walk from Aldgate east station you pretty much have access to the rest of London and I would recommend to anyone needing a short stay hotel in this part of London.
R.
Friendly staff and clean rooms, poor wifi signal
D. I.
Nice rooms, not very spacious, but enough for you to feel good. Great breakfast and young people working at the reception very helpful. Nice interior in the lobby. Once again, great breakfast!
K. K.
You know what you get with ibis. Were happy with most things. They didn’t have 24/7 food as advertised but there was a big football game that weekend so I’m assuming that’s the reason. The cocktails at the bar weren’t very good but apart from that we liked it. Small rooms but perfect for a city trip, very clean, super friendly staff, great location (right next to a Tesco and a tube station)
L. W.
Great place to stay when visiting London as a tourist. The tube-station is just around the corner and right next door is a Tesco Express. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. We stayed in a double room on the 10th floor and we didn't hear any noise at all during our 3-nights stay. The breakfast is OK but not included in the price. There's a lot of good restaurants and breakfast places in the area so you don't have to eat at the hotel, althought there is a fully equipped restaurant and bar available. I recommend the Breakfast Club a few minutes withing walkning distance for a trendy breakfast instead of the breakfast buffet at the hotel. I will definitely stay at Ibis London City again.
J. W.
The rooms were clean, modern and completely satisfactory.
The food was of surprising quality and therfore excellent value for money.
The real strength is the staff, they are friendly, extremely efficient and professional: a real credit to the training and ethos of the hotel.
M. P.
Well located, in the City and right next to the Aldgate tube station. Modern building with a rather simple, standard Ibis design. The rooms are plenty spacious, considering London standards, and mostly pleasant inside, aside from the odd plastic cabin bathroom, which to me looked like it could serve as a public toilethad this weird, disposable feeling.
Breakfast was standard English and mostly tasty at that. WiFi is free and worked very well, with download speeds easily in the 3-4MB/s range.
Staff was very kind and helpful, though they did have some odd issue with my colleague checking out while his stay seemed to be actually missing from the system. There was a bit of confusion around it, but they resolved it to our benefit and we could head back home.
H. B.
Nice hotel, good food and bar is open until 1am. Rooms are fine and the showers are large. No baths in room. Small tv on wall, blackout blinds, coffee and tea. Plug socket right next to bed on one side (double bed). Bed is very comfortable.
G. R.
Lovely spacious and very clean room with everything you might need. We especially appreciated the tea making facilities. Very friendly staff and easy check in and check out. Location couldn't be better, right next to the tube station and withing walking distance of Spitalfields. We are already contemplating our next stay!
D. A.
Nothing special also a little overpriced in my opinion. Great location close to nearly everything of interest in London. Would stay again only because of convenience. Cant think of anything to complain about. So good overall. Great job and keep up the good work and thank you. But just incase you looking excel just a few dlr stop away offer more at a lesser price. Shop around for a better deal.
A. S. 1. U.
A reasonably priced hotel room in a fair sized room. The noise from outside until after 3am was difficult to cope with. Our room faced the road. The bed was very comfortable. More hot drink supplies would have been helpful.
J. N.
Functional and handy little hotel near the office... I don't recommend their breakfast though, I've never been a fan of poor quality almost grey looking scrambled eggs and barely warm bacon. Plus the krypton factor test they put you through in trying to work out where the plates and cutlery all are (clue.. nowhere near the food or where you'd think or even together!) is a bit bonkers in fact the only positive thing and that is actually served hot is the coffee.
M. M.
Good comfortable rooms. Clean, green policy that the hotel follows. Refurbishment happening bang in the middle of the restaurant was terrible. Delayed service disappointed. Great location though and some great options to eat, drink around the hotel.
S. C. B.
This hotel is very well located in London (next to Aldgate East underground station, direct from St Pancras). Simple rooms but offering everything needed for a few days. Comfortable bed. Rooms with view on the courtyard are more silent. Good and full breakfasts to start the day. Third stay there and still satisfied.
A. A.
Everything was amazing. The check-in and check-out were the quickest! The room was clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast collection was nice. I'll definitely come back here when I go to London.
C. C.
This hotel is well placed to walk into the city for work. It is clean and the staff are very friendly. the quality of the rooms is excellent. The only issue I have on staying here is the WiFi is a bit dodgy in the rooms, but great in the bar.
A. U. K.
Very good hotel to stay ! Staff at this hotel are extremely welcoming ! Check in and check out all managed and sorted within seconds. A tesco express next to the hotel serves as a good breakfast option for people looking for English Breakfast.
Aldgate Station east is just around a corner.
London wall is a 15 minute walk from this place !Nice
M. S.
The rooms are spacious, clean and stylishly designed. I was very comfortable during my stay here and would definitely repeat the experience. The location is excellent - a short walk away from key east London locations including Spitalfields market, Old Street, etc. Also, both Aldgate East station and Aldgate station are near the hotel. Very convenient
Y. A. R.
I’ve been to a lot of Ibis hotels but this one was hands down the best one of the lot. Clean, modern and hip rooms with a very friendly staff and shoreditch is a perfect location. A bit far from the center but rather quiet and with a lot of hidden gyms around !
t. m.
Good budget place in Whitechapel, pod type rooms and very slick reception. Check in took seconds. My room as described, basic but fine. Rubbish view but the that's London on the whole. Skipped breakfast and was told by a colleague that I had made the best choice so I will just stick with the room and location being good.
C. E.
Good hotel and good value. I do love the downstairs lounge and bar areas, fun place to meet people to sit around and have a few beers in a casual relaxed environment before going out to other restaurants or bars in the area. Close to Brick Lane and some great restaurants love the big open market down the road as well - good location all in all.
B. H.
Great location. The room was clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Had dinner in the bar area one night and the food was very nice. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel and would happily use it again if I need to be in that part of London again.
S. G.
Amazing hotel, very nice staff ready to help you when u need it.
N. A.
The room was actually quite good. Clean and tidy and functional.
I would've given a higher rating but the hotel decided to get live music for the evenings and it was very very loud. Annoying if your on business, why not leave the clubs and bars in the area to cater for the music.
G. g.
Nice hotel. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. It's basic accommodation but it's very clean and comfortable. Big choice for breakfast. Would recommend.
N. T. L. S.
The welcome at reception was great although I struggled a little to determine who was staff vs guest as there is not a traditional "desk" so lots of people milling around. Great location though and the room is really tidy. Little bit noisey in the morning as there was raped or construction work happening close-by, but otherwise it was great
D. L.
Shares same theme of decoration as other Ibis hotels. No reception desk. Rather staff with reception shirts. Not sure it is such a good idea. When busy if you don't know the system you can spend a lot of time looking for a non existent desk. More gimmick than innovation.
N. S.
Really awesome experience! Room and bathroom were clean and enough space for one person. The rooms are updated nice. Check in and check out were easy. Located right near the tube for convenience! Everything was great!
J. B.
Clean, friendly, great location! Bathroom capsules in rooms are a bit funny but really no complaints. A very solid 3 star hotel. Can only recommend.
L. P.
On arrival it was very difficult to locate the Ibis-recommended local NCP car park, and we would NEVER use that car park- it was full of drug- users detritus and we were accosted by a drug user when we entered. That NCP car park is not secure nor is there any cctv, yet the weekend rate is £36! We found for ourselves a very safe and secure car park 10 minutes away costing just £4. Despite having already completed online check-in, we had to go through the whole process again as "it does not work" , according to the Ibis Reception staff member. Our allocated room, #148 was dark due to a small window looking directly onto the nearby brick building opposite, it was a bit musty smelling upon arrival and throughout our stay there was quite a lot of noise from the street outside (despite my request for a quiet room and having been assured by the Ibis Receptionist that she had specifically allocated for us the best room for a quiet stay). In particular, the evening "Jack the Ripper" tour groups stopped right outside our window up until 9:30 pm and made a lot of noise, and when we rang Reception to ask if if they knew whether the tours went on for much longer, the staff member was aware of this problem, making us wonder why we has been allocated that room. The beds were not great for comfort, but just ok. The bathroom was fine, but we had to ask for more towels to supplement the 2 small towels in the room . The excellent good -value breakfast was definitely the high point of our stay, with plenty of choice of good-quality items . Again , despite having completed online check-out, we had to wait to go through the process again with the staff menmber before leaving the hotel.
G. B.
It's ok. Rooms are just about big enough - hard to tell as we didn't bring a cat. Check-in seemed rather haphazard but actually worked quite quickly. All seems clean enough. Haven't used the restaurant or other facilities (there's a cafe five minutes away opposite Aldgate Station that will do breakfast for a fiver).
W. B.
Good sized, clean rooms. Friendly staff and good location for Shoreditch etc
N. F.
Check in was very informal but easy. The staff use mobile phones.
Rooms clean, but compact and functional.
Breakfast has a good choice of things. Bacon eggs cereal etc.
Didn't try the bar.
Well located for Liverpool Street station.
J. E.
The rooms are good, there are not enough hangers, I booked 7days and room maid was not observant enough to notice that I have more clothes than the hangers. There should also be a small safe to keep important documents or jewelries. Rooms overall are ok, I would rate it between 8 and 9.
The breakfast are terrible, it is the same for my 7days stay. You could see that the chorizos and sausages are recooked, you can easily tell because sometimes they mix the old with the new. Sliced fruits are also recycled, you can tell that what was no consumed today will be served the next day.
I have asked if I can exchange the breakfast with dinner credits but was answered No, even I tried to negotiate say the breakfast was worth around 14GBP that I could just have 8 or 10GBP restaurant credit, but stil the answer was flat No.
In fairness, I had dinner there and 2 of the 3 time that I dined was actually good.
M. R.
In my many travels to London I've stayed here more often than any other hotels and I've seen improvements all the time. I'd argue the breakfast is the of the best I've had in London. Beds are comfy and rooms are clean, the staff are very welcoming and check-in and out could not be simpler. The restaurant food is tasty and especially welcome if your tired after a long day. The gripe is the strange "plastic" bathrooms which feel totally out of place in the hotel.
M. B.
Trendy hotel, it's clean and the beds are not rock hard as in most hotels. Unfortunately trendy comes before pratical. No real reception which feels a bit amateuristic. Instead of cupboards there are table-shelf-like-things. The electric sockets are way to far above table and ground, and there are not enough of them. It was said that the bar would be open 24h a day but it's not. And when being in the bar you have to wait very long (45min!) for a drink
K. R.
This is a clean, modern basic budget hotel with friendly staff and comfortable minimalist rooms. I particularly like the buffet breakfast, which is competitively priced for a hotel breakfast in London. Even if I'm staying in another hotel nearby I often eat breakfast here. It's a very convenient location for both Aldgate and Aldgate East stations and an easy walk to Spitalfields and the City.
A. T.
Generally one of the best stays in London. For example the shower was great and the breakfast was delicious too. Some minor problems witnessed that could be improved.
The lift was a bit of a joke. I was unable to use the lift in three occasions, probably a faulty card. Please ensure that this is checked before you dispose these to the visitors. Secondly on attending breakfast I was questioned as to if I had paid for breakfast. That is fine but a bit of irrelevant questions were asked later on like ' i do not understand '. It did not bother me but can be irritating for customers who had already given the account number!! Can the workers check who has paid before asking? That would avoid asking so many irrelevant questions.

Great location. Literally next to a Tesco Express for convenience. Plenty of places to eat as well as pubs within a 5-10 min walk. Thought the breakfast was phenomenal. Seriously the best breakfast I have had at a hotel. Staff is friendly, organized and helpful. Room is a good, functional size for two. Nothing extravagant or fancy, but does the job well. Would definitely recommend for a short stay in London. [For those who forget, they sell outlet adapters for those goofy plugs ; p they have in the UK, which was a convenience we utilized]
R. E.
It's OK I guess. Room is basic, clean and tidy. You might call the style trendy, but it looks like an IKEA showroom house built by committee.
The hipsters doing check-in were efficient, if unengaging, with very strong accents making it difficult to hear what they were saying.
The facilities in the room are functional, but nothing special and the bed is comfortable but short if, like me you are north of six foot tall. That is no worse than almost any other hotel though.
Location is very good, with easy access to Underground and Brick Lane.
M. N.
Nicely located near brick Lane and Spitalfields market. Very close to bus stations and underground Aldgate East. In walking distance to Liverpool Station. Nice breakfast, clean room and good service. Had no problems with noise as there was a double window and we were on the 6th floor.
M. H.
Really happy with the stay here, clean and comfortable with helpful and courteous staff, exactly what you want from a city hotel. Good for the price and convenient location close to the City, only a short walk or tube ride away.
D. B.
Stayed for a couple nights here. Hotel is looking great after the refurbishment. All clean and new. Service was great. Check in perfect and breakfast and bar staff very good.
Location is perfect. Next to Aldgate East tube so you can be in city centre in next to no time.
G. A.
Great hotel nice location only downside is breakfast not to Great but edible
D. P.
I stay here once a month on business and I am extremely happy. The staff couldn't be lovelier and more helpful. The breakfast is always great. The room is always immaculate and very comfortable. Very good for the price.
C. C.
We enjoyed our stay. It's not the usual part of London for us to stay but we were going to a party near London Bridge so chose the Ibis.
Everything about the hotel and our room was very good and we would recommend the hotel to others.
If there was one thing the hotel could do easily to significantly improve the guest experience it would be to provide proper fluffy bath towels. The ones in our room were cheap and much too small. It is a silly thing that probably saves very little money but is instantly noticeable.
P. R.
Very good hotel to stay ! Staff at this hotel are extremely welcoming ! Check in and check out all managed and sorted within seconds. A tesco express next to the hotel serves as a good breakfast option for people looking for English Breakfast.
Aldgate Station east is just around a corner.
London wall is a 15 minute walk from this place !
M. M.
Excellent location, next to the underground, very clean, good breakfast and the price is perfect for what they offer, very friendly stuff, excellent service, nice mattresses, we asked for a quiet room and it was very quiet. The only minus: no fridge available in the room
a. p. m.
room very clean staff very nice
V. T.
Nice location, 2 mn walk from the metro station and 10 mn from Tower of London. Room is OK if you expect the minimum vs cheap rate. I liked the breakfast. The lobby / bar in ground floor made me chose the place as it looked modern !
M. K.
Great for business trips to the city. Location is great, very close to Brick Lane. Rooms are small with modern design. Good breakfasts and the restaurant. The downsides are plasticky bathroom modules and tiny desktops if you need to use a laptop.
P. &. J. S.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We ate breakfast each morning in the hotel and the was a good selection and the price reasonable.
N. R.
The price wasn't bad and there's an open lobby/bar. The bathrooms we're that plastic installation stuff and there was no mini fridge. The decor was nice and modern like an Ikea, but overall meh. Nice staff.
H. K. M.
The room was just nice for a couple, clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful. The only hiccup was my Airport Transfer from the hotel to Heathrow Airport. There was a bit of miscommunication between the hotel staff and me. The morning of my flight back, I was waiting for my Airport Transfer to pick me up at the hotel. But, when the transport arrived at the hotel, I realized that it was a taxi instead of my pre-booked Airport Transfer. The taxi ride cost me BP86.00 (equivalent to RM480.00 - one way). That was the most expensive taxi trip that I had taken in my entire life. That was the reason why I pre-booked my return Airport Transfer which cost me only RM297.10 (equivalent to BP 53.20). On the plus side, at least I had a transport to ferry me to the airport as my Airport Transfer was not there to pick me up 4 hours prior to my flight schedule. I will try to lodge a claim with Expedia. Otherwise, overall the trip was fantastic.
C. B.
The hotel is very basic in almost all aspects.
Check in - quick
Room cleanliness- good
Room ameneties basic
Family room: very small as compared to what's mentioned while booking
No room service
Bfast is good
S. M.
Had used this branch many times in the past until moving to London. Great ambience, convenient location, fantastic neighbourhood. The sweet beds are really comfy! I always recommend this hotel for friends and family visiting.
A. J.
Great hotel, team and premises.
F. C.
Excellent choice in London!!! I also super recommend its restaurant at night. My wife and I were warmly welcomed by Claudia and Giro, who prepared a delicious fruit cocktail and an appetizer pizza for us. For sure we will come back in the next opportunity.
D. L.
My stay was 9/17 till 9/20
It was a great Birthday weekend!
Great hotel and location near the Metra tube station. Staff was exceptional
and very helpful. Room was clean and tidy everyday. Love it! Will visit again!
Thank you!
R. J.
I've stayed here a few times and have always found it to be clean and pleasant. It's a little impersonal but it is a large hotel so I suppose that is to be expected. However, when it comes to location it is perfect. Right next to Aldgate East Underground Station and 10 minutes walk to the Tower of London. So if you want a clean and central hotel then this is perfect.

Hotel 5/5
Room 4/5
Restaurant & Bar 5/5
Had a great 1-night business-trip stay at the Hotel Ibis London City. There was a bit of a queue at the reception to check-in, but the staff worked fast and efficiently to get everyone checked in quickly. The female receptionist was very cheery and helpful.
Room was only 4/5 due to the extractor fan in my bathroom (Room 431) wasn't not working and the TV seemed to be faulty (either that, I couldn't work it, but I'm sure the TV wasn't working!)
The restaurant was top notch, good prices and excellent service (10/10 service from Clémence from Nantes - she deserves a gold star - she continuously smiled and had a great rapport with my colleague and I, as well as other guests)
The bar was also a nice environment to be in.
I would definitely consider staying here again.
A. H.
Clean room, check in seamless. Seemed under staffed regarding the bar.
C. C.
All you'll need. Easy check-in and check-out. Modern look and very clean. Staff is very nice. Located next to underground station Aldgate East and the hotel is on a 20 minutes walk from Tower Bridge. Perfect.
H. M.
Perfect location service people. Well done
B. H.
Fantastic hotel to stay - extra clean & beautiful breakfast selection. Complimentary dinner after hot water not available in morning - more than expected but certainly well appreciated. Love it!!
R.
The hotel is a very nice place to stay. They have breakfast in the morning that is very good but the only complaint I have is that there isn't a safe in the room. Other then that then staff is very nice and welcoming.
V. E.
Stayed 5 nights while on a business trip. I did not expect much as Ibis hotels are considered budget, but was quite happy about the overall stay. The towels were changed regularly and the reception personnel was polite.
J. A.
Good hotel in a great location. Breakfast menu never changes. Room interior theme is quite dull and moody. Everything else is good and staff is good
T. p.
Staff are so helpful. Rooms clean & tidy.
M. J.
There are no extra amenities for the Ibis London city hotel. Set your expectations for accommodations when in London. The hotel is clean, quiet with adequate rooms, no bathtub and the washroom was a cubicle like thing dropped into the room and raised from the floor. The room was soundproofed which is worth a mention. The buffet breakfast at £8.95 was all you can eat and worth a mention. The staff was quick and brought extra pillows and blankets when requested. There is no room service but you can order food and bring it up to your room. Tip: The fish and chips were delicious. Overall a good choice for a place to sleep at nite in E1 London city.
T. M.
Decent hotel, good location. Has a Tesco next door and a Pret A Manger around the corner. Aldgate East Station is also around the corner and the Liverpool Street Station is a short walk away. Also a walking distance from Brick Lane.
Staff were great, really friendly and helped us with our enquiries.
The room itself was a little bit small and old-looking but was clean and comfortable.
The location is good and would potentially book again.
E. L.
I enjoyed my stay at the Ibis. I was here for work and this was the closest hotel, so I didn't really have any expectations. The rooms are small and the bathrooms tiny, but the beds are comfortable and it has pretty much everything you need.
a. w.
had a brilliant time as usual, the hotel is spotlessly clean, has everything you need, and is in a great location. the beds are comfy, there is a small tesco next door, and its near the tube. i always stay here, and i always enjoy it.
A. “. o. L. O.
Quite nice for a budget hotel. The menu is very limited and unnecessarily expensive and they need to do something about flies in the restaurant. Altogether a pretty decent hotel well located.
K. F. (.
The Ibis hotel is situated next to the Aldgate East Underground station. A functional hotel with, brightly lit clean rooms. It serves it's purpose as a budget hotel close to the City. Free wifi is available through out the hotel and the rooms are insulated against noise, although I still managed to hear the street noise.
The shower temperature could be improved, but overall a reasonable stay.
M. v. d. Z.
This is a modern hotel. When you first arrive you have to look twice because there is no reception. There is personal waiting by the entrance to help you with checking in. The rooms are oke, nothing special. What I found annoying is that the bathroom is in a "plastic cabin" in the room, that makes a lot of noise when somebody is in the shower. Luckily you don't hear your neighbors at all.
N. C.
Check in / out is a bit weird. Theres no actual desk just a staff member floating around. The 5th floor had the carpet covered for some reason. Stay was excellent though, good sized room, very comfortable bed.
D.
Ibis here is good - better than many other Ibis hotels. It's a simple hotel but the recent upgrades of mattresses has not gone unnoticed. Beds are comfortable, breakfast is adequate and service - albeit simple - is good.
P. K.
Nice hotel, everything was clean, people were very nice. I like the idea of "moving reception desk". Breakfast was tasty but every day menu is the same.
K. V. d. W.
Usual Ibis comfort. Lovely quiet room (facing the back). Check-in took a little long even though I had checked in online. And the morning before I was due to leave (i.e. more than 24 hours before checkout), I received my bill by email - it felt a little like "don't linger; leave asap".
n. s.
Nice and cozy but the view on a company was not very nice and also very noisy outside so I could not open the window or the curtains
No menu in the room for the food or the drinks, you have to go down stairs and see what they offer, the workers there especially the receptionists are very kind and welcoming
D. B.
Place of the hotel is excellent, just 10 minutes walk from Tower bridge. Rooms are little bit small, but their service is very friendly. Morning breakfast is worth trying.
F. G.
During our London citytrip we stayed at the ibis London City Shoreditch Hotel for 2 nights. It's a 3 star hotel from the ibis group. We had a nice comfortable room with free wifi. Nice european breakfast with lots of choices. In june we are going back to London and are staying here again. We also had a few drinks in the bar. Friendly staff, so check this out. Budget friendly Hotel. You want to see our video check out my youtube FilipG Thank you for watching!
S. M.
Ibis do packages when you book a room (free drink and discount at Westfield. This is the second time I've been where the reception have pretended not to know about the offer and I had to ask. Room was ok. Bar is well decorated
S. H.
Breakfast was fantastic. Hotel was close to many of the sites that we wanted to visit. Plenty of great restaurants nearby. Room was small, but that's OK because we wanted to be out in London, not hanging out in our room.
J. C. R.
Very nice member of the Ibis chain. Rooms are comfortable, with enough room considering the Ibis standard, excellent staff running the front desk, very good restaurant, cafeteria and bar, and an excellent location in the city with Aldgate East tube station just around the corner.
L. G.
Really nice hotel in the city centre of London. The stuff was very courteous. The room was absolutely okay for one night. The bathroom was clean and there was a hairdryer. The AC was a bit to 'weak' for the hot summer.
Z. R.
There is no check-in counter but the stuff tries to be helpful. However I was given a key of the room where somebody else has stayed already. Small bathroom. But the room is clean and cosy, the breakfast is good.
S. H.
The cleanliness of the room is ok, could be better. Due to overbooking one of our room got assigned to double bed instead of twin bed that we booked. Experienced power shortage twice, the AC won't turn on again after the second time.
K. C.
I was there for pickup breakfast .
Reciptionist lady welcomed me.
Inside decoration is okay .Soon needs upgrade .
D. E.
What a great hotel. quirky and contempory interior design.superb location.totally hassle free check in / check out. we had one of the brand new rooms on floor 10 which was great. we will defiantly be back. Thanks.
H. G.
Not that great but not that bad either! Rooms are small but clean.A very small storage place just so that you can hang 1 pair of clothes and no more! No balcony! A very small window, can't even see what's outside..
R. K.
it is a great hotel with great location. next to the tube and also next to Tesco Supermarket. The Guest relationship officer was also very friendly and very fast respond. the only thing we don't like is the bathtab which is too small. overall is a very good hotel!
M. B.
Nice restaurant in the hotel. Decent price but nothing special. Rooms were basic but adequate. Good location. Rooms facing the back street were very quiet (which is amazing for the location!)
P. W.
The staff was very helpful. The room was fine and the price for the room was reasonable for London. However the breakfast was way to expensive compared to its quality.
A. H.
Some of the staff couldn't understand me
Food choice was rubbish
My key needed re doing every day!
Room was lovely and quiet though
Air con didn't work - heating did
Bed not made one of the days and long black hair left in the bathroom (not my hair!)
M. m.
Room are oke bit small, breakfast is also oke nothing special but enough options. The bar down stairs is good. Only bad thing is the showers they are just to small.
D. L.
Functional and clean. That's all I can say positively, and that's not bad. Would hate to stay more than a night. No storage for anything... truly you will live out of your luggage.
N. S.
The new check-in is a mess. When you used to have several people at the desk, things were fast and efficient. Now with just one or two people where guests have to queue doesn't work at all.
I think the very few tea bags and milk in the rooms is very mean. With two people in the room that means only one cup of tea per day. For the prices, this is insufficient.
s. s.
People sitting on floors.so u can't get a good pictures ..too busy ..getting drinks took ages
J. E.
Great stay. New (well new for me) reception process with hand held machines worked great. Tidy and quite room. Great shower. Didn't eat in the hotel so can comment on the food.
B. S.
Clean, affordable and easy to access from Liverpool Street where Standstedt Express terminates, Aldgate and Aldgate East. Nearby Shoreditch with Brick Lane, Tower Hill, Millenium Pier and Spitalfield Market. A good hotel for a city trip. Ask for a room with courtyard view if your prefer to stay more quiet. Stuff was always friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the free offer of water with lemon and cucumber slices every time I came back to the hotel on sunny summer days. :-) Thanks!
A. M.
Stay was great, the best part was the accessibility of the hotel to Central London by foot or by train. It was specially good for me as my son is staying in a near by student accommodation. I look forward to staying there again during my visits in the coming few years as my son completes his studies in London.
P. T.
Great clean hotel, there is a tesco express 10 meters from the door. Room was nice and clean and staff where friendly. Not the best area, but rigth next to the underground
D. T. d. G.
We been here every time we come to London and we like it heaps. It's a Stone throw from Spitfield markets and on two Tube lines that get you either north or south. If in a twist.. short walk to Liverpool Street Station.
The area is pretty cool and the hotel itself is nice....well...We have breakfast somewhere else... not a fan of Ibis breaki.. but that's absolutely OK.
Y. F.
Nice pleasant hotel in the East London relatively close to the city.
It affordable according to London priced but still can be expensive for those out of the city.
The staff are friendly and approachable.
The rooms are basic and small
A.
I stayed here for a one night, for a Monday morning business meeting. It was just next to the tube station. Clean, basic, fairly priced. The bar was well stocked and also fairly priced.
m. c. s.
YEZZZZZZ Absolutely yes. My room (a 'sweet room') was bigger than usual (for London standards!!)
There's abar downstairs , friendly staff, Tesco express next door, walking distance from the tube.
In London for this price..You can't get anything better.
Will go again !👍
S. d. V.
The hotel is fine, the rooms are basic but the price reflects that. Staff is very friendly and the check in and check out is very quick and efficient. Perfect hotel if you look for a basic but fairly priced hotel.
K. G.
A hotel with all necessities. 30 sec walk from Aldgate east tube station and 10 sec walk from Tesco express that's open until late. Hotel is very clean and does not feel like a budget hotel at all. Friendly staff and safe surroundings.
M. B.
Good hotel for a quick business trip.
The receptionist were very friendly the room is clean and inviting to stay.
I can recommend it.
M. S.
Perfect stay near City and Shoreditch. They refurbished everything few years ago to match expectations withinh the trendy neighborhood. Skip breakfast buffet: there’s a Pret a Manger around the corner and a mini market next door. Tube station around the corner too (Aldgate East). Good ethnic restaurants close by (don’t miss Som Saa).
T. C.
Modern room. Comfortable bed. Nice staff. Decent breakfast. View of the London city skyline. Close to restaurants and convenient Sainsbury's and Tesco metro nearby. Nice running route to Tower Bridge and Tower of London. All good!
E. T.
Great value hotel in great location. Rooms are small but what you'd expect in most hotels in London. Bathrooms are small and budget but clean. If you're looking for a no fuss, cheap hotel in a convenient location, I'd recommend.
X. B.
Great check-in experience, fast and efficient.
Comfortable room, no frills but all what you need to sleep weel.
Efficient A/C, important point seen the 34°C in London this week (!)
Great localtion just next to a tube station.
K. S. T.
Staff is really friendly!!! Noura checked us in really fast and explained about facilities. Breakfast is good for London standards. This IBIS is really well located.. 3 mins walking from tube and has a Tesco 1 min away.
A. s.
Staff were very friendly, checking in and out didn't take too long. Close to a few good markets and places to eat and drink. Room was ok, bed was good. Fast elevators.
D. W.
Great night. As a platinum member, I got a voucher for a free drink. Room was great. Quiet. Lots of plug sockets, including by the bed. Comfy bed. Fluffy towels. Good shower. Clean room.
J. P.
Nice stay. The hotel is modern and clean and the staff is very friendly. Also the situation is top, with the underground station just beside. An excellent choose for us! A
B. H.
Lovely staff so friendly. Didn't keep you waiting for anything. Nice comfortable room. Only downside is there aren't enough tables at breakfast time.
A. S.
I expected it to be far worse, actually. But the place is better than some other hotels I were in London, actually. They have air conditioner that actually works, and if you're in a hurry you can get a breakfast here for around 12EU, which is really cheap by London standards.
M. W.
A nice pleasasnt place to stay although every employee was of foreign background and determining that we wanted to pay for a breakfast that wasn't included with the cost of our room was very difficult.
S. Z.
Loved the hotel but the staff couldn't help us out with some things like directions or information on late night open items. The bar was very expensive but overall the hotel was clean and modern. I would go back just with a GPS.
A. “.
I only stopped here for a drink, being located in London this is a surprisingly great place to grab a beer that's reasonably priced, great comfy seating and I love the light shades. Not a place though for getting really drunk with the friends. Expect a quite atmosphere
N. G.
Very clean and nicely furnished with a comfy bed and decent sized shower. Breakfast service is reasonably priced. And very conveniently located with a Tesco right next door.
A. B.
Great location. There is an underground station just around the corner. The hotel is simple but everything seems to be new and modern. Staff is super friendly.
I. B.
Awesome location very close to transportation. Cute modern design with a cozy feel. I would recommend if you are looking for a nice clean hotel on a budget.
M. K.
/// Decoration : Young and fresh (we were in refurnished floor)
/// Staff : Friendly and forthcoming
/// Location: Central + Parking difficult to get and you have to pay for it.
/// Room: Mattresses was comfy and room big enough
/// Bathroom : Clean and good
Give it a try if central Location matters.
I. D.
The London City Ibis is a nice place to stay over whilst visiting, the rooms are fairly spacious (for London standards) and clean.
The restaurant service is good and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The en suite bathroom are a little disappointing, being quite dull and uninspiring in there design.
M. I.
Very nice place with super professional staff. Room was clean and comfortable, and the food was very good. Would definitely stay again.
J. S.
Room was nice and clean but was at the front and it was very noisy, didn't get much sleep as the pillows were very hard and they didn't have any different ones. Good location though
P. B.
It was nearby to all the sightseeing.Good in rate & calm. But not appreciate the of way placing the breakfast means people using the same spoon for veg, eggs , pork.so many hindu come there so it should be respected & taken care of we as hindu doesn't eat pork.
S. M.
Good place to stay with lot if food options nearby and walkable to tube. Rooms are good for business visits and breakfast option has decent spread.
S. k. G.
Hotel is in prime location, just beside Aldgate east station (hardly 5 mins walk). The hotel staff are very nice. Rooms are relatively small, but considering other facilities its a very good hotel to stay.
F. A.
The best point is the great location where the hotel is situated.
The breakfast is satisfied and refilled regularly.
The staff was professional and kind.
I recommend 100% the Hotel Ibis London City Shoreditch.
K. S. (.
Very good hotel. Friendly staff. Modern interior. Big TV in the room.
I had a nice stay!
G. K.
This is one of the most expensive IBIS, i stayed at, but probably thats because of the location:)
Very neat and clean, Super Fast Check-in & good service. Great location but bit compact rooms.
L. J.
Clean rooms, quiet if you are not facing the street on the lower floors (you should avoid these rooms in most city hotels anyway). Friendly helpful staff who really want to help with your stay.
A. M.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Bus stop is just outside the hotel and subway right around the corner. Great restaurants and pubs nearby. Great experience overall
I. J.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Does what it says on the tin
C. W.
Standard ibis. Good lcation for District/Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan line. City is walkable distance. However more and more (questionable) people are hanging around outside asking for money, some of which get right into your face. Had at least three approach me between door and tube (less than 100m away). can be a little scary at night. Not much hotel can do about that though.
B. M.
Good standard as you'd expect from a large hotel group. Easy online check in and check out facility making it ideal for a one night stay over the weekend.
Plenty of free on street parking available sat-sun, nearby.
P. S.
Hotel is nice, rooms are little small and attached bath room seems almost little bigger than plane toilets. Overall service is nice
J. M.
Good location, right next to Aldgate East station. Rooms and fairly modern and clean, albeit small. Fairly busy hotel with lots of rooms. Check in and out was very easy and quick.
S. J.
Really handy, great location, friendly & helpful staff. Comfy bed, nice rooms, funky decor. Great breakfast selection. Would stay again & recommend.
T. H.
Staying at the Ibis Shoreditch was a positive experience. Finding reasonable priced hotels in London can be challenging but Ibis delivered.Clean and tidy with helpful, friendly receptionists. Ibis is in walking distance from City, Tower and Liverpool Street Station (flew in from Stansted Airport) and the Metro is right around the corner (Alsted East). Free WiFi is another plus. I missed an iron, an ironing board and a small fridge.
K. S.
Service could be improved, some miscommunication but the staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Rooms are above par, menu is sparse but tasty food and overall a better than average experience.
m. w.
the room was nice and quite wit ha great view form the 9th floor. the room was clean and had everything we needed for our weekend stay in london.
I. W.
Experience was what I anticipated on booking BUT the curtains need blackout options as I was woken up early each morning as light came in. Other than that, service and facilities were as expected.
G.
The price of the room is good, very close to a tube station. About the room comfortable bed small toilet/shower and small tv. But over all nice.
B. C.
Everything went smoothly and friendly except the breakfast. 3 days no forks ! I suppose the statisticians calculate very well how many forks there have to be in the hotel. But come on buy some more.
B. L.
Friendly staff but frustrating to have to reword sentences so they could understand. Food was good though a dish with steamed vegetables would be nice (I was staying all week and felt as though I needed something other than salad!)
M. W.
Central and close to the tube. Has a Tesco right next to it.
This ibis is like every other ibis hotel.
We did had some small issues with the payment but everything turned out fine and we got a coupon for drinks at the bar.
J. O.
Really nice hotel very friendly staff to greet you. Rooms are tidy and smart but for a pretty central London hotel for a work trip couldn’t fault it.
M. O.
The staff is so helpful with anything you need! The room was great too! Another plus is that the underground is a few steps away and so easy to use. I would definitely go back.
C. A.
Lovely hotel that is ideally placed next to the underground station. The staff were incredibly helpful and very attentive to our needs. We will definitely be using this hotel everytime we visit London.
D. L.
We had a lovely time. Staff very friendly, would definitely go back and visit again.
C. S.
A nice, clean hotel well situated to Liverpool street and Brick Lane. Newly renovated rooms, quiet though with unusual plastic modular bathrooms. Great views of The City!
J. B.
Great hotel, and a short walking distance from the tube, and the oldest market in London. Plus there is even a small grocery store next door. I want to go back to London, and I would definitely stay at this hotel.
S. K.
Enjoyed my 4 night stay in this hotel. Good value for money, excellent staff, clean rooms, good breakfast and excellent location for public transport links.
S. S.
Rooms are reasonable if you are not spending a lot of time there. There is no secure storage in the rooms however so that's a bit unusual. Otherwise a nicely looked after hotel.
L. P.
Clean, comfy beds, bus at front, 2 minutes walking to Aldgate East station, walking distance to Tower of London, Tower of London. Staff very helpful. Will stay again next time :-)
J. m. S.
Great hotel and good value for money. Would definitely recommend. Downside: front desk staff are very slow at handling check ins
S. B.
Very modern hotel, rooms aren't very large and check in takes a while. Breakfast bar is somewhat lacking, but food is great.
E. N.
Clean, comfortable, very nice bar era, good food and 500 metres from Spitalfields market. Aldgate Est tube station 20 metres away from the hotel front door 👌.
S.
I had lunch today in the Ibis restaurant. The servers we really helpful - but they had never heard of the orange juice and lemonade mix drink (its a standard non-alcoholic drink in any eatery in the UK!) and they didn't know what Balsamic vinegar was. When it arrived in a jug from the kitchen it was like treacle; I had to water it down with olive oil!
S. H.
Great hotel, nice staff, clean rooms, and its directly at the subway, ideally located to get into london on vacations, a lot of nearby restaurants, just one thing during our visit there were renovations going on on the 7th floor, which was a little noisy, but all in all a nice hotel
B.
Very nice hotel in excellent location. Nice, but small, modern rooms and a funky lobby. An enjoyable place to stay.
M. S.
Smallish rooms, but clean, comfy bed and good shower (no bath). Food is good although I feel the menu is a little limited.
F. M.
Location very good
No reception but its very efficient
Not clean - found dried up contact lenses next to the bed and under
Towels smell funny
Very easy check in and out
P. H.
Efficient check-in, warm and friendly staff. Breakfast however was a little disappointing, it being lukewarm and the Cumberland sausages were devoid of the distinctive taste associated with them.
M. C.
Love this hotel. Great location, a stone throw from Spitalfields. Round the corner from the Tube. Good beer on tap. Friendly staff.
D. S.
It's cheap for the location, staff were friendly and the breakfast was basic. Mattress are cheap and thin so if you have a bad back I would avoid, see pic
E. K.
perfect location and very kind staff
T. V.
Comfy bed, clean room and friendly staff. The bathroom is quite uncomfortable and they force you to BUY the adaptors for your electronic devices for 5 pounds.
A. H.
Brilliant location, right next to aldgate east station. Rooms spacious. Can get a little noisy when windows are open but you can't hear anything when shut. Will definitely stay again.
V. O.
Everything perfect, awesome service, good rooms and beds, close to the centre and good connections with public transport services. The food at the restaurant is ok, not the best food but it's decent.
J. R.
Trendy hotel in a great location. Good showers. Youthful staff friendly and happy to help. Civilised breakfast times especially at weekends
R. B.
Enjoyed the late night bar. Rooms are standard like many Ibis hotels. Busy location so a very social atmosphere when checking in
R. N.
Ibis does business budget right. Standardized, streamlined, efficient, comfortable. Basic but not impoverished. This particular Ibis is expensive by chain standards because of location.
s. K.
Nice hotel nice location room was a bit small but overall lovely stay
R. K.
Rooms are too small for liking, but are well designed for 1 person. Breakfast was good, all in all a good budget hotel considering its location.
R. H.
Great stay, conveniently located hotel with clean, modern rooms. We didn't eat at the hotel but the menus and selection looked excellent.
A. P.
it was right next to metro station and 19 mins from blackfriars, exactly what I wanted. rooms were decent size for ibis. I did not get breakfast
S. S.
We have stayed here twice now, fantastic location and close to a tube station (Aldgate is the closest) Hotel is always clean, modern décor and staff are helpful - Highly recommend
L. A.
Very big rooms with nice and comfortable beds, the only complain is that the minimum temperature is fixed by the hotel, you can only set it higher
p. r.
My stay with the Ibis was exceptional. The staff were all very helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in London. Very good location. 😁
J. H. I.
Next door to public transportation. Authentic checkin with no front desk. Excellent customer service!! Only negative, the shower goes hot and cold often.
A. W.
Decent hotel. Nothing special but has all of the things needed. It is also convenient to the tube. I would stay here for the right price.
R. A.
We stay here for 4 nights they treat us incredible breakfast was amazing and the best part is how nice and friendly everyone is.
D. F.
This was for one night only, very tired I checked in at 10:15, waited in reception nearly 15 minutes to get service, I was on the 9th floor and the key card did not work, I made a trip down to reception a further 3 times because of the same issue, this ended up being the door lock. I got moved to another room which was not the upgraded room I was initially given but I was too tired to complain!!
j.
Hotel modern and clean, staff all very helpful. Location great for what we wanted to do. Will definitely visit again.
M. C.
Cosy, modern rooms. Clean and simple, good price and location. Some creepy people outside of the hotel should be asked to.move by security
P. A.
There is everything nearby to the hotel. From a Tesco store to a McDonalds or a Costa Coffee. The rooms while slightly cramped and dark, have several power sockets. Perfect for an overnight stay.
R. D.
Clean and secure. Nice bar menu, free filtered water. No reception desk, just staff milling around with smartphones.
M. V. W.
Hotel room was clean and we got all the amenities we need. Just wondering if the hotel management would consider including safety deposit box in each room in the future.
N.
Great, as most ibis' are. Bartender at the hotel gave us (young people) a great suggestion as to where to walk to find an actual bar/night scene.

few locks away from The City, in the odd end of the neighborhood... but close to tube stations, service is good at reception, rooms are ok, bathrooms too small, not bad for the price they had a restaurant that looked nice but didnt had the chance to taste the food.

Great service. Was allowed to extend check out till 5pm because my girlfriend was ill, at no extra cost. Clean as well.

Love this location, the new sweet rooms are great! The breakfast is always good, and if you book enough in advance the prices are great.

Nice hotel. Superfast check-in and check-out. Breakfast is good and with a lot of different tastes.

Service is excellent. The lack of hand towels and face clothes was disappointing. Small, comfortable rooms.

Great location and modern decor. Breakfast was good. Attending a show at Tobacco docks and was only a 10 minute walk away

All very clean and tidy, not a bad night's sleep, but don't bother having their breakfast, go around to sizzles their breakfasts are exellent and cheaper

Fantastic hotel in general, unfortunetly the evening Staff was not really servicepeople.
In the other hand, the morning/breakfast Staff was amazing!

Room service is you going down to pick it up but the rooms are very clean. Staff is very friendly but information is a bit weak. We asked to use the phone they days we can call if we come downstairs, we went down then they said that area code is not callable. The train is right by the hotel though. Close to tower of London and the bridge.

Had a good sleep, I asked for a quiet room, so had a view of the internal courtyard, but it was very quiet.
Breakfast was good and the staff helpful and friendly.

Room spotless, staff friendly. Breakfast not exactly cheap at £9.50 but it's a buffet so you can fill your boots!

Breakfast is good and not too expensive.

Simply great place to enjoy City London . Very close to two Tube rail stations and one Busstop. Near to the famous east London, where you can visit the vibrant bengali community and enjoy delicious bengali cuisin at an affordable price

All good, spotlessly clean, quiet, decent bar and reasonably priced. Friendly staff.

Rough patch with first concierge. Trainee stepped up, got us checked in with an upgrade. Room and bed large enough to accommodate. Breakfast and dinner available along with bar. Just around corner from Tube station. Near Tower of London.

An ibis with a twist. Usual rooms, comfortable bed etc. Lobby area is quite animated an staff friendly and casual.

Lovely hotel. Tight spaces but that just encourages you to stay outside and explore London. I loved the double beds as well!

Great for a short stay. 30 seconds from the nearest tube and a Tesco store right outside. Nice clean room and welcoming staff.
W. C.
Room was nice but the bathroom was creepy as hell. I would of thought that this was a hospital covert. I would not return.
Also no iron in the room which was very disappointing.

Good location; close to the metro station; clean and comfortable rooms and the staff is friendly. I recommend this hotel !

Was there in 2015 - very friendly stuff, standard rooms as in each ibis, underground nearby. Price performance was fine!

Hotel was clean and staff members are quite and humble.
Hotel Don't provide water bottles and dental kit.

rooms are so small. no lotions shampoo, no microwave no fridge, no gym ... breakfast ok ok.. only plus point is that it's just walking distance away from tube.

Lovely hotel, staf was as friendly as you can get, breakfast was great but maybe a bit lackluster die belgian people who are used to more toppings for their sandwiches
