M. A.This hotel has been amazing the staff has accommodated me with everything I needed so much so I extended my stay and will be staying on all future trips to London. Breakfast was great they had a continental breakfast as well as you could order a full English breakfast. Check-in The Restaurant and the bar (the bar is closed currently because of covid) is located at the sister hotel next door at the Phoenix hotel however that did not pose any inconvenience. There was 2 staff members working the reception desk all night and day they provide security by buzzing people into both hotel entrances, there was always somebody answering the video doorbell 24-hours a day. I felt safe comfortable and well looked after. The only downside was Friday and Saturday evening from 2000h to 2200h the hot water only ran lukewarm but return to extremely hot at 2200h until 2000h the next night. This only happened on Friday and Saturday night it did not happen any other day of the week. I highly recommend this hotel even over the more expensive chain hotels regardless whether you travel for business or leisure either on your own or with friends and family.

J. P.My second stay at Kensington Gardens Hotel, albeit with a 7 year gap. I returned as I was so impressed with my stay back in 2013.
My room was once again clean and comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The buffet breakfast has a large variety and the service is well received.
Pro tip for future travellers: stay next door at the Phoenix Hotel. They are connected and therefore you will receive the same exceptional service however won't need to walk outside before having breakfast.
J.The bathroom is very nice. The room is fine. Small but it was cheap. Great location! Close to some food and bars well within walking distance. Nice staff and clean smelling room. Check in is a little late at 1pm but you can store your bag next door.
R. O.Spent 1 night and was very impressed. Modern style furnishings in a vibrant part of town. Single room was suffice for my stay; had Room 15 on it's own landing. Clean and functional. Was 5 minutes walk away from underground, restaurants and bars. Would certainly recommend to friends and family. Thank you!
D. K.The entire area is full of accommodations for travellers. It appears that some of the hotels share services or such due to the way they are set up. That said, I felt it wasn't as central as I would have liked but given the price of something "more central", this was quite alright. It is connected to the Phoenix hotel next door in terms of some services but is not physically connected it seems. This front desk is not open 24 hours and in off hours, the service transfers to the Phoenix Hotel.
The room was very clean but there was a very slight smell in the bathroom--probably from the shower curtain that needed to be changed/washed. Otherwise, the rest of the suite was well maintained. I would say that compared to other places I've stayed at, this is only average and is not exceptional. There is wifi, the amenities are available for basic stay, the room is clean and tidy and the area is safe. There is not a breakfast included in this one--which is fine (I'd rather no breakfast than something slapped together). The staff are friendly enough but I still found a bit distant. The areas is lovely so going for a stroll is nice. There is a chance to leave luggage after you check out if your flight is later in the day. If you are looking for boutique-y or more personal, this isn't going to fit... it is a good place to stay and sleep.
Would stay again if visiting London.
S. L.What a super hotel. Our welcome was warm & friendly. Everywhere newly & tastefully decorated & spotlessly clean. Good sized room with comfy beds & immaculate bathroom. Great location...just a few mins walk to Bayswater tube station. A gem of a find. We will definitely book again next time in London

K. T.Brilliant for a budget hotel in London. Clean, nicely appointed, great location. You may have to check in at Phoenix next door. Breakfast and bar available there too. Free WiFi, toiletries, hair dryer, good TV, reading light, sockets, kettle, good bed. Much better than others in this price class.
K. N.Incredible stay in Kensington! Upon arrival the staff member (I have forgotten her name, but she was FANTASTIC), allowed us into our room even though we were much earlier than the normal check in time. I was a bit worried about being warm as it was warmer, and this hotel does not have air conditioning (normal and wasn't a surprise), BUT there was a fan provided in the room! That made all the difference and was so very appreciated. The room we were in overlooked the Gardens, and it was much more spacious than I thought it would be. The bathroom was also great and looked brand new (not sure if this is a new renovation or if they just clean them that well). There was also a few cookies provided (and refreshed each morning) as well as a kettle for tea and instant coffee. The area is so nice and walking distance to two tube stations (Queensway and Bayswater). Also an easy and beautiful 17 minute walk to Paddington station. There are tons of great restaurants in the area, and it is also walking distance to Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, and Notting Hill. Lovely staff, location, and room. Great value for the convenience of all of these things, and also so much more reasonably priced than other hotels that offer similar things that were important to me during my trip. Overall an incredible stay and will most definitely be coming back on any future trips to London!
Do be aware that there is no lift, and to get to any of the rooms there are some stairs involved, not a problem for us, but good to know. Also if you need to check in after 5pm you have to do so at the Phoenix hotel just a few doors down, or if you come back after 5pm you go and pick up your room key from them as well. Again, no issue, they are "sister hotels" and the staff at the Phoenix is great also!
R. G.The room I booked was clean and relatively comfortable, but I'm afraid that's where the positives end. The shower has no pressure; the water appears to just fall out of the shower head. Our room was up 5 flights of stairs and there is no lift. The reception is supposed to be open 9:00 - 17:00, but when we arrived at 15:30 there was nobody there.
