Massively disappointed…..
so many things went wrong on our stay!
First - the room didn’t have a coffee machine despite my booking confirmation. We were told that only exquisite room has it!
Secondly - on the wall underneath the window there was a massive brown stain!
When we complained we were given a new room and talked to the manager and gave us free breakfast which I thought it was nice.
Unfortunately the breakfast was very average- Premier Inn has better standards.
Mushrooms overdone and tasteless, very standard sausage, boring tomatoes.
My orange juice was watered down and the coffee very week (flat white supposed to be stronger).
The rooms are not soundproof so don’t even dream to get a good night sleep, which is a massive shame as the bed itself is very comfy.
The bathroom is like at Holiday Inn or Premier Inn - fixed shower head, which I hate.
Only the interior, location and very comfortable bed of this hotel will get the top score here.
I feel bad for giving such harsh review but I pay and I expect the best experience and this hotel is not cheap.

Our stay at the Leonard’s royal hotel…
Room:
the hotel is in a nice environment, the reception and lobby area is beautiful. Our room was a good size. However the bathroom wasn’t as nice. I had to ask for the bathroom to be clean because there were marks on the wall. After it was cleaned the marks were still there. The fixtures in the bathroom could do with being repaired. The T.V in our room had a signal problem which I reported and was told I would received complimentary champagne. The T.V got fixed but the complimentary champagne was never received.
On the balcony there was used cigarettes as well as a smash mugged.
Customer service:
I strongly felt the service could be better. Out of 10 I would say it was 6. We would call reception on the hotel room several times but no one would answer, we only got through once early in the morning. The room service seems none existent as no one would answer the phone the same goes for the concierge.
I requested if we could have new bedding after the first night however no one came to do it.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is good. I would recommend you go before 10am as it can get quite busy.
Location:
The location of the hotel is great it’s right next to Tower Hill station, if you’re travelling far.
Spa:
We used the spa facilities only once. I would say the steam room needs a scrub.
Would I stay there again, no. My reason is because the price you pay does not match with the customer service I experienced. I would have expected a cleaner bathroom, clean balcony and room service.

Lovely hotel. Great position for a tourist trip. Tower hill underground yards away. The 15 bus stop is 100 yards away. Stops at Pudding Lane, St Paul's, Royal Courts of Justice and finally Trafalgar Square. Tower of London and Tower Bridge are neighbours.
Have a drink at the bar patio and on your left are the remains of the roman city wall built ad 120.
Rooms are well equipped, large and comfortable. Staff are very helpful. Hotel very quiet for Central London. Previously stayed at the Hilton Tower and the Leonardo Tower, both reasonably good but this is much better.
Can't review pool etc. as did not use them but from other Leonardo hotels standard will be very high.
Prices appear low at this time so a good time to go.

The hotel location is perfect, well connected to the underground and a short walk to st Katherine's dock and the south bank. The communal spaces are nice enough.
The room was not the most spacious, the view was of the courtyard which has a nice relic wall but it's lit all night, so if u want to sleep with a view at night it's going to be bright.
The room facilities were not that great, the safe didn't work, the mini bar was full but the fridge was not connected and everything was warm.
The bathroom is utilitarian at best, the shower itself is amazing great pressure. The shower screen looks like it's made from 3 Datsun windscreens. The toilet flush was strange lots of water, not very good drainage (took a few flushes). The flush refill sounds like a whaling banshee and u can hear your neighbours flushes.
The pool on the other hand was great, the changing rooms were good. Although at the time no robes were available.
The breakfast was good, with lots of your standard options and they even were able to provide dairy free milk on request.
All in all if you're after a no frills hotel with a pool centrally located, it's pretty good.

I'll start off nicely could not fault the staff and the service both are 5*. The pool area was nice not alot of space but big pool.
Now for the hotel room itself was definitely not 5*. We booked an executive room with king bed and we got 2 twin beds pushed together, as we was staying for just the weekend I didn't bother complaining. The electrical sockets on both sides of the bed did not work, we had to charge our phones on the other side of the room so waking up in the morning to check the time you had to get out of bed. The bathroom tiles need replacing you can see there stained dirty.

The hotel was in a perfect location and the room was very modern and classy me and my partner had an amazing time there, the customer service at the hotel was really good they were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately we didn’t have any electricity in our bathroom and half of the rest of our room for 15 hours, we were told the night before someone would be up to fix it, we then waited a couple of hours and followed up then we were told no one would be able to fix it until the morning, we then followed it up again in the morning were told that someone would be up in 30 minutes after waiting another 2 hours we followed it up again and after waiting 15 hours in total someone came up and fixed it within 5 minutes. We asked for some compensation as we weren’t able to use our bathroom and half of our rooms electric for 15 hours they only gave us a late check out which was 2 hours extra in our room. We had a lovely time here and would recommend staying, just unfortunately the communication wasn’t very good.

Stayed for a night so we could watch a show at the Tower of London. Hotel is a few minutes walk from Tower Hill tube station with a few pubs and bars in walking distance, plus the bar/ restaurant attached to the hotel. Had an executive room with really comfy bed. Although you are on a main road its still a fairly quiet area. You are close to a couple of train lines so can hear trains passing if you have the window open but we didn't find them overly loud. Really nice buffet breakfast served in the restaurant. We used the pool which was great size. Also has s nice sauna! Room was clean and nicely decorated. My only negative would be that the attached bar closed at 11pm - though not sure if that was just because it was very quiet when we stayed. The menu in the room indicates there was room service so perhaps we could have ordered that way instead. Would just be nice if hotel guests could sit in the bar a little later! All in all a really lovely hotel, lovely staff and food and really good location.

Wonderful stay 2 night stay for my wife's birthday. The front desk had placed in the room a small plate of treats wishing her a happy birthday. Room was lovely and clean as was the rest of the hotel public areas that we. Didn't use the restaurant as we ate out.

First impression is good. Friendly professional staff on reception. They were helpful in providing the breakfast tea and white sugar that they had forgotten to provide in the room, along with the extra milk required. We booked the room for 4 adults. Only 2 bath and 2 hand towels provided. One bath towel was unusable due to black mascara and other marks. The bathroom size was good. However, in showering they only provided 2 holders containing shampoo and no shower gel. The outside of the bath panel was dirty /streaked and the walls had lots of dirty stains on them. The room size and beds were great. However, the quilt tog and room temperature were too high so one of the party of 4 found it difficult to sleep. Great location for Tower of London.
V. C.
Perfectly located for tower hill station, literally a 1 minute walk. Very clean and efficient. The standard rooms were presentable, although perhaps not as modernised or updated as the pictures online suggest, which were more of the executive suites.
The breakfast was really lovely with a lot of variety and options of good quality and standard. staff seemed efficient and friendly. No complaints besides the fact the maids knocked 3 times to clean ou room before check out and walked in on us in bed each time as we were sleeping in and didn't respond in time. I say e there should be some means for them to know if we had checked out that day or not.
Otherwise perfectly happy.

Good hotel friendly helpful staff. Room could of done with a bit of a update but clean and tidy. Poor signage for bars only found Cory's after going down a corridor and opening a door empty bar. Signs are high on the wall.
L. R.
Excellent location, very helpful and polite staff, lobby area smelt lovely, very welcoming. Check in and out was swift and efficient. We were allowed to check in before we expected too which was a nice bonus. Rooms nice, shower was lovely. Liked the fridge in the room too, and even a microwave too! We will definitely come back. Great stay overall.
P. “. J.
We booked a suite, and I must say that it looked great. However the room was cold 🥶 and tried the thermostat, nothing happened called reception they came and couldn’t fix it but offered a heater that we refused. He gave us another room (smaller) nice but acceptable slightly warmer. Good breakfast 👍🏾 would stay again only in summer.

We had such a lovely stay as family of 4. The room was spacious with 2 double beds, the view was amazing, overlooking the tower bridge. Mihai the duty manager sorted our problem with the family swimming slots. Great customer service and the cocktails at the bar were fabulous. We definitely be coming back for Christmas next year again.
A. B.
Location is good, just 1 minute walk from Tower Hill station. Room was big for the king size, shower was nice, bed and breakfast was not bad considering the location & Price. There were hand wash and body shop for bath. Would have great if brush and slippers were provided.
Room was bit dark though, not enough light, bit smelly and broken roof ceiling. There was no direct view to tower bridge, not even any open view to anywhere other than the train line. I have liked the location, the stuff were nice, and have the clock room facility.

What a beautiful hotel. Stayed with my friend and daughter. Everything was so clean. The breakfast was superb. Too much choice haha. Beautiful location. Staff were attentive. Room was huge. My daughter was amazed. Felt like royalty. Thank you. Can't wait to come back.

Honestly such a wonderful place. I messed up my original booking and rebooked for the same dates but it has been handled with lots of communication. The staff are so lovely and the rooms are really nice. May be slightly understaffed but completely understandable at the moment. Really encourage you to try this place out. Thank you Leonardo!

Stayed here over Christmas weekend. We had a nice room with a stunning view. Breakfast is really good, great variety. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and aromatherapy room were great too. You can see that hotel requires some little touch up tlc, but overall definitely recommend.
T. P.
Overall the Hotel is in a good location and the interior - especially in the foyer is lovely. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast selection was great and they provide option to select outside of the buffet.

I didn't stay in the hotel, I just used the spa facilities for the day (using the package 'Treat Yourself with Rena'). It was such a lovely experience, the facilties were brilliant, not overly busy , very clean and well maintained. We had about 4 hours use of the spa before our treatments- I had a lovely therapist Naadia who was just so knowledgeable and great at her job. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and am hoping to come back soon!
(Side note- the package is quite competitively priced in comparison to other similar hotels in London. I do think we got our money's worth, and the skincare products they use - Caudelie, are just soooo nice, I was tempted to purchase them following my treatment).
I would strongly recommend this place for a spa day
N. H.
This a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Upon arrival and check in I was given a free room upgrade which gave me a fantastic view of the Tower Of London and Tower Bridge. The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk from Tower Hill underground station
M. C.
Nice room, fantastic breakfast. Swimming pool was very busy. Staff and guests not wearing masks in the elevator bit off putting.
F. H.
Recently stayed hear for my boyfriends birthday and had the best weekend. The staff were attentive and welcoming and the facilities were great. The pool and spa facilities was a little run down and could do with a redecorating same with the en-suite it was dated compared to the rooms and rest of the hotel but nothing that affected the weekend. The food was great and has plenty of choice and the bar was great too. Would recommend this to anyone

£300 for a room for 1 night. No bottles of water in the room, had to contact reception to ask for some but they never turned up so had to boil water from the tap and wait for it to cool. Mini bar was half full and wasnt working so everything inside was room temp. No room service menu in the room so had to dial for room service to ask them directly but there was no answer so rang back to reception to ask them about room service and they said they didnt know what's on the menu and the reason room service didnt answer was because they were "probably" out sorting out other guests and there was nobody else available. Went for a swim and the lady in the spa reception was not helpful or polite at all. These are quite small things but for a 5* hotel and for the amount we paid I expected more. I will not be returning.
M. P.
Very relaxed, chic and clean hotel. Staff are very helpful. Facilities very nice. Sauna, steam and aromatherapy rooms but small amount of seats to lounge on. Treatments Highly recommended. Breakfast was spoilt for choice and delicious. If you want a well done egg just ask. Unhappy with the odd thing but quickly rectified and compensated. Thank you for the selection of chocolate strawberries and truffles 🤩
D. P.
Really enjoyed our stay. Food was great and room was tidy and spacious with well stocked fridge. Bonus as original wall of london is just outside built by romans and medieval folk. History on its doorstep

We've had a fabulous stay here, my husband told the hotel it was our 10th anniversary when he booked and we were treated to a beautiful room with a view and chocolates on arrival, such a nice touch! Comfy bed, quiet room and tasty breakfast.
We were a little disappointed at having 12.5% added to the bar bill for our one post-show drink that we ordered while actually at the at the bar, not table service, so not sure what the additional charge was for exactly, the drink was expensive to begin with.
Other than that, a recommended stay. Thank you.
F. C.
On the whole good experience, staff were polite and attentive.mold in the bath room is my pet hate. If you spray bath/shower with bleach everytime the room is cleaned then, it won't look like a public toilet. Unfortunately maintenance needs a kick up the backside some shoddy repairs let down the room I was in.
A. T.
Have stayed here a few times and unfortunately it is not as good as it used to be. When we have previously stayed we have always had a view of Trinity Square or the Tower, but this time we were given a small room with a view of the platforms on Fenchurch Street station! Reception said they were full but did manage to find us another room with a city view which was good. I won't book here again as think there are other hotels similarly priced.

We have just had a great weekend at this hotel great room and a bottle of bubbly waiting for us as we were celebrating our anniversary. Staff were excellent couldn’t be more helpful. And food was delicious. Would not hesitate to recommend or return. Thank you
Leonardo Royal.

Absolutely fantastic place great value for money paid breakfast lovely , rooms very clean and staff so helpful and friendly and professional, this was our first time away in two years as recovery from stem cell transplant , we shall be using the hotel again .
Thank you to all the staff .

Favourite hotel in Tower Hill. Usually lucky enough to stay for work. Last stayed there over a year ago but going again in Feb 2022. Central location. Lovely and helpful staff. Amazing room and great breakfast
D. H.
Super staff, great position by the Tower of London, there is even part of the old Roman Wall on the Hotel site! The accommodation is excellent and the breakfast is a Must!
M. B.
Good hotel, things that stood out:
Staff very friendly and keen to help, we had no problems but checkin and checkout were all smooth.
A great pool and spa, good size and a nice addition.
Breakfast was super tasty with loads of options.
J. H.
Very accommodating for our visit with our 5 year old. Clean rooms, polite staff and great breakfast. We would happily stop here again.

Perfect location huge room immaculate in every way and super clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet perfect, no issues with food and drinks all piping hot and served with a smile...will be looking to use on the next trip as great for Tower Hill Station and the Tower pier for the boat trips...please like my review if it helps you.. dead opposite the hotel is another restaurant that was also very good if you wanted a change

From start to finish our stay was just the most amazing, relaxing lovely time. We were met in the lift by a lady who happened to check us in, we had mentioned we were staying as an early anniversary treat and when we got the room they had already got a bottle of champagne and chocolates up there for us to celebrate! The rooms are very luxurious and roomy and the bed, well you could just stay in it forever it was sooo comfy. I love all the little perks like the Nespresso machine but the real highlight of the room was the breakfast in the room with the views over London, just spectacular and that same view is just as good if not better at night with all the lights twinkling. The restaurants are all of an incredibly high standard for breakfast and dinner. In all the level of service, the quality of the rooms, restaurants and facilities are of the highest level and you will not be disappointed with your stay….you may also never want to leave!
A. G.
Great location, pool and view. Somewhat disappointed in the fact that we had to ask FOUR times to have more pillows in the room and for our coffee to be refilled, although I do appreciate that they were busy with the half-term holidays.
D. T.
A great time was had by all ! Had one of the suites upstairs on the 12th floor...expensive...but so worth it ! The views were fantastic ! Tower Bridge Tower of London & The Shard ! The staff were brilliant with all staff very wary of the Covid rules. A fantastic few days.
J. B.
I had a great view of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. The first night of my stay the view was breathtaking by the time I checked out, I couldn't help ponder how many people (innocent or not) were grusomly executed in the Tower of London. From an historical point of view, the Tower of London and surrounding areas where people were hanged for entertainment as well as punishment to deter others from committing crimes, was not really the location in hindsight, I should have chosen for some me time and relaxation...I was impressed by the hotel's ethnic diversity which accurately reflects London as a whole. Stayed for 4 nights. Yes, I used the Rena Spa facilities...

Our first room at the Leonardo, while pleasant had curtains missing. While I consider myself a man of the people, it would be highly inappropriate to expose myself and my girlfriend to London’s finest at the near by train station.
Tried to call down to the reception and the phone did not work. Got moved to another part of the hotel which was out of the way of everything meaning that we had to carry our robes and stuff for the spa outside to get to the spa. The second room was smaller and the bed was smaller too. Spa facilities are very nice.
Would go again but would be more wary.

I stayed for one night. On early arrival the staff were very friendly and booked in my bag so I could set off to Twickenham for the rugby. Upon return my checkin was very easy, my bag retrieved and shown to my double room. The room I stayed in was in the new section. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. Bathroom and shower were great. A great price when booking in advance and located in a great part of London and just 30 sec walk from tube station. Would highly recommend.
S. F.
Amazing view and the team ensured that there was a little surprise for my wife for her birthday. We were missing a robe when we arrived but as soon as we called they rectified this. The room was beautiful. If it wasn't for covid and the room was serviced every day then it definitely would of been 5 stars
D. C.
Booked offer from spa breaks for 40 minutes massage + divine facial for two. We enjoyed every moment however the spa area needs more refurbishing for the price you pay. Also during our use of facilities there were few girls shouting up and down and that was really disturbing as I was trying to relax straight after my treatment. Also, my boyfriend was not provided with slippers and when he asked for one they said there was non left. Jacuzzi was amazing the steam room was lovely. The massage was okay a young girl did our massage and facial. Overall, needs improvement for the price you pay, however I would recommend couples to go and have some chilled day.

This hotel looks stunning and is in a fabulous location right next to Tower Hill tube station.
Positives:
- Location
- Central
- Pool facilities are excellent
- Concierge staff lovely and helpful, professional and polite.
Negatives:
- Lift system, only three lifts one of which was out of order for our entire stay, took a total of 7 minutes to get a lift to us just to get up to our room, we heard multiple other hotel guests commenting on this and often spoke about it in the lifts with others!
- Some areas of the hotel room were quite dirty.
- No spare pillow cases for extra pillows, attempted to phone reception using the phone in room with no answer, called the hotel number on my personal mobile, again no answer after 20 minutes so gave up with this (would have got the lift down to ask but again, would have taken all night!)
- Would probably stay again however would not be my first choice as I have stayed in better hotels in London for cheaper prices, however for use of the 25 metre pool I would consider another visit.
m. n.
Not really as good as prices demand, the rooms are fine but nothing special. Pool and spa is pretty dated but OK. Good location and views however.
D. L.
Love this Hotel, first time staying here and it exceeds my expectation. Rooms are big, very clean and unlimited water. The breakfast is good too. I will stay here again defo.

It's a lovely hotel, really! Nice rooms and a comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was excellent also. It is close to all of London's tourist attractions, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and St Paul's Cathedral. The pool and gym are lovely too. The problem with the pool, sauna, steam room and gym are always ridiculously crowded due to being open to the public also . The pool is especially bad. Also there was constant noise from the lifts in our room. Shame such minor faults could take away from a very nice hotel
J. S.
Nice staffs and reception amazing. Bathroom/bedroom was OK but uncleaned bathroom and need cleaning wall and glass. Bedroom were very dry air and complained. Need updating in Bathroom. Our room 717

Stayed for two nights, for a birthday treat!
Great speedy check in, hotel was clean and plush. We had an executive king room on the 7th floor. Clean, trendy, spacious, the bed was soo comfortable!!
Bathroom a little on the small side and the air con had a fault. But we did not highlight this to reception as we were already settled in our room.
Fantastic breakfast with lots of choice, hot and cold food and selection on breads meats and cheese. 5*
Fab location right next to Tower Hill tub, walking distance to Tower Hill pier where we enjoyed a city cruise for 2 up to Westminster and back!
Leo’s bar is a little overpriced with a single shot of Absolute Vodka costing £8 that’s without a mixer! The whole bottle costs around £18 to buy so their mark up is extremely high.
Swimming facilities lovely very relaxing, everything was working. Bathrobes and slippers in room.
Altogether a lovely stay and would definitely return.
A. C.
Fantastic, clean, lovely room, comfy beds, amazing view, our air con worked, great breakfast selection and nothing to much for the staff, everyone we met were helpful and had a smile. We stayed here few years ago too before they started refurbishing the rooms (which I think is why someone peoples reviews might not be so great if they are put in the older style ones) we thought it was nice then but even better now. Thank you 🙂
G. C.
Lovely comfy bed, nice breakfast with lots of choice.
The swimming pool, hot tub, sauna area was full of families and young children who were dive bombing, shouting etc. Not very relaxing so only used it for a short time 😢
B. D.
I stayed here recently for 2nts on work and found it to have exceptional staff and quality service.
I had a lot of equipment and luggage and they were very helpful in bringing it from the room for me and bringing it down.
Extremely comfortable beds and a very large room complete with nespresso machine and tea / kettle.
Desk was a large size too and great bathroom. The site is very nice with 2 great bars / restaurants plus courtyard and exterior.
The Internet speeds I noted were very good too plus the presence of gym and spa made this pretty good value.
I subsequently stayed at a CitizenM due to their notoriously excellent Internet speeds but the CitizenM itself is like an extremely overpriced Ibis Styles and I would certainlt choose the Leonardo first in future every time. I hope to stay again soon.

Great staff especially Claudia on reception. Well sited and comfortable, this hotel may not always have the views their publicity suggests but great facilities, spacious interior, good breakfasts and very pleasant and helpful staff without exception. Would recommend this for the future.
R. H.
The location was great and most of the staff were lovely. Despite the chaos, most of the reception staff were patient and understanding. However, we were told that our room was ready at 4pm and upon returning, we found that every other guest checking in was told the same. This resulted in a queue that lasted over an hour. The TV in our room was also totally broken.
j. d.
Staff where extremely helpful, providing us with some freebies to make our engagement celebrations that little bit more special, Room was incredible, bed was really comfy and provided an excellent night's sleep. On down side was disappointed with the bathroom and how small it was, and also seemed shower screen had been fitted wrong was as you had to step over toilet to get in. Pool and spa facilities weren't that great, pool side only had 5 loungers and they where all occupied, and booking in for spa treatments wasnt straight forward and staff couldn't advise on price over desk we had to go online even to get price. Breakfast was amazing, such varied options available and quality of food was great. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area
M. M. L.
Friendliness from the staff, cleanliness of the room and overall hotel, and ability to make you feel like you're the most welcome person is astounding. Right next to Tower Hill tube station, Tower Bridge and the Thames, so perfect to get everywhere. Stayed an extra night that wasn't planning on and will definitely be staying again.
M. K.
Had fantastic time with friends. Great customer service too. Clean environment. I would definitely go back there. Perfect breakfast. Fresh fruits ...l am going back soon

Spent a night in July 21' overall enjoyed the experience. AC was not operational but a fan was provided which was better than changing rooms as it was huge. View was of walls however the spa centre made up for the negatives. Breakfast was provided foc due to waiting to check in which was appreciated. Nice hotel friendly and helpful staff, recommend.
D. H. J.
Beautiful room with a wonderful view. Service was excellent. Breakfast was very good and plentiful, full English, fresh omelets, pastries, fruit and cereal. The pool and spar area nice with an on duty lifeguard during family sessions.
J. F.
Superb room, quality furnishings and stunning views! I love this hotel, friendly teams and perfect location tucked away from the madding crowd! Great deals to be done online too.
E. W.
Nice hôtel in a convenient spot. The room didn't really live up to expectations as overlooking a railway platform and the high building opposite blocked the light. One of the blinds was broken, blocking the light that there was. We had paid on a special offer but the Executive King Room we were given must have been the one offered to guests paying cheaper rates. Breakfast difficult without a tray and very difficult to socially distance. Friendly and helpful staff.
A.
The in room dining service is not great. Limited menu and after multiple attempts to order, they never call me back so I ordered from a delivery service and got my food in about 20 minutes. I did not get the room I had booked either so I had to get that sorted out too. It definitely is not as good a hotel as it was when it was owned by the Grange hotels. I'm not sure if come back to be honest.
K. J.
We stayed at this hotel about a month ago and everything was great. The service, the staff, the facilities. It was our first hotel stay since the start of 2020 and it was worth the wait. Really recommend this one.
Unfortunately we couldnt get booked in at this one for our upcoming stay but have high hopes that the Leonardo Tower Bridge will be equally pleasing 🤞🏼
S. K.
Upon arrival the staff are much more than helpfuil. They also seem happy and friendly. Onto our room, clean, tidy just enough room for 3 of us with lovely, comfy beds. The swimming pool on the lower ground is 25m long with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi free for guest to use as is the decent sized gym.just woke from a great night's sleep as the room is soundproof. Breakfast was good I'm giving it 8/10, stay near Tower Bridge, this is perfect for you. Steve travelling up from Boston lincs

Fantastic hotel located within 2 minutes of Tower Hill Station (Circle/District line and DLR). The hotel is full of the amenities we have come to expect whilst staying in London, with the addition of access to their swimming pool, gym and sauna/steam rooms. Tower Bridge, The Tower of London and HMS Belfast are all within a stone's throw; and if you're lucky (like we were) the view from the bedroom is amazing!! Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to London.
L. M.
Hotel was beautiful but the pool had limited seating and the signage around the hotel was lacking. Hotel staff were very attentive however and the breakfast was decent. Perfect location for a quick city break!
D. H.
Apart from the air con out of action (although a fan had been provided) we had a lovely 3 day stay whilst we explored London. The hotel / spa was very clean, the food and drink was excellent and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Shout out to Christina on reception who helped us throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to choose this hotel if we were to stay in London again.
M. C.
Our first night wasnt nice because the room was very hot and air condition wasnt blowing cold air so we didnt have a good night sleep on the first night. We went to make a complaint to the manager vishan who was generous enough to give us an upgraded room on the 11th floor. Vishan, the cleaner on the 4th floor(sorry I didnt get his name), the waitress at bar and the breakfast staff was very nice and helpful and if it wasnt for them I would give this hotel a 3 star(may a 2) because most of the staff wasnt warm enough to make you feel comfortable. Our first room on the 4th floor didnt have a iron, fan(we didnt know it was offered till we spoke to another fellow guest) or bathrobes. We used the pool and sauna on the last floor and we enjoyed it very much. The breakfast buffet was very nice but we stayed there for two night and got the same breakfast options on both our mornings there.
A. C.
Nice hotel in a very good backstreet location close to Tower Bridge, Tower of London and water taxi pier. Excellent large swimming pool. However stay at hotel somewhat diminished by effects of Covid? Only 2 of 3 lifts working - long delays and internal floor indicator not working. Room nice decor and clean - good size bathroom/shower although bath/shower difficult to get into/out of - but no servicing including tea and coffee. No signage to cafe or restaurant. Taxi rank outside but often no taxi; even Uber seemed to have difficulty finding.
L. V.
We've only been here for one night celebrating our wedding anniversary.
We got some complimentary bubbley on ice to help us celebrate.
The room was spacious and everything was very nice and clean. A coffee machine with a selection of coffees to help try rounded it all off very nicely.
The bed was great and managed well during our "celebrations".
The hotel was busy and fully booked, Wich unfortunately meant that we didn't get the robes to use when going to the swimming pool and spa, Wich was super nice BTW.
Long pool for laps swimming and jacuzzi was nice and cozy. Steam and aroma room was hotttt.
We had a massage at the spa and that was a very rare treat for me Wich I really enjoyed.
The breakfast is definitely world class and I'm so glad we included it in our room.
The selection is mind blowing and fresh and the perfect start to the day.
We used a Groupon to make it more affordable so it was a good quality for the price we paid.
Enjoyed our stay

Customer service is out of this world! The front desk staff, Leo dining staff & spa were so professional, very helpful, smiling and made our stay so lovely. The hotel is beautiful . Its clean, has vibrant and contemporary decor throughout! It's located right in the hub of London. We were able to walk to most places from the hotel. We had a lovely spa and swim. Would recommend!

I booked through another site so got a deal price, which I feel was good value for money. There are more luxurious 4-star hotels but it's nevertheless a nice retreat. The room had a sweet view of the Tower of London and was spacious yet cosy. The swimming pool and sauna were both lovely and the gym is very decent too. Breakfast was good. Staff are all friendly and helpful - I was made to feel welcome and relaxed. The room doesn't have the usual amenities like toothpaste or paper/pen but you can ask for this. There is a kettle + tea selection, fridge, and iron + ironing board in the room. Would visit again.
R. B.
The hotel has a lot of things to improve. First thing to fix is the AC not working. It's only 20 degrees outside but we are absolutely boiling in our room and the AC is only making the sir quality works, not cooling down at all. After reporting this to reception, nothing was done.
When we arrived in the room the blinds were lying on the floor. Went to reception. They put them back up but no sort of apology was made and felt this was very unprofessional.
Bathroom is not the cleanest and there's no space to our your towels to dry.
Pool is nice although we were harassed by some random guys (not hotel quests) multiple times and staff did nothing.
A. E.
Excellent view, lovely staff...spa was a treat and gym has an amazing space...Breakfast was yummy too.
Sammy at reception was of great help as well as Karbitta!
I definitely recommend and will be back...
P.
This place is so pretty and l love how it looks. I came here with my bestie and we are loving it. Staffs are so friendly and the pool is big and l love the spa. Nice and warm jacuzzi. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back to this hotel.
S. H.
The hotel was acceptable, nice sized rooms with a good sized pool in the basement. Breakfast was good, but the restaurant was very disappointing with almost no gluten free or appealing vegetarian dishes.
T. U. C. M.
Enjoyed hotel nice and central brilliant staff nice breakfast staff made my stay nice would come back again
J. D.
Nice stay, nice view, lovley staff. Room quality better at Leonardo tower bridge, if debating between the two would choose this for quicker tube links but tower bridge for quality
G. B.
Great stay. Helpful staff. We will visit again. Stayed many times and always meet our expectations. Reason we always stay at Leonardo because of the pool and spa facilities.
J. G.
Beautiful interior. Room had a quality design if a little small. The spa and gym were welcome after a day in London.
A. K.
Really nice hotel lovely bed decent bar and staff all helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice! Would recommend 👌
J. A.
Nice hotel breakfast good.
Telephone in room not working reported it on check in but nothing was done which is really worrying as in an emergency you would have problems getting any help
P. “. G.
The hotel has a great location, situated in the middle of both Tower Hill underground and fenchurch overground stations.
The concierge who greeted us, was charming and polite - a lovely welcome!
The receptionist upon checking in didn’t seem that bothered, we would’ve appreciated the service with a smile but fine none the less - the receptionist checking out however was extremely rude - she was pulling unpleasant faces using a sarcastic voice, and didn’t even ask how our stay was! The worst service from a receptionist I’ve ever experienced 😂
If she asked how our stay was, it was okay. The hotel is clean and aesthetically pleasing - the room (king executive) was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom could use a modern revamp but the water pressure on the shower was great!
But the aircon didn’t work, which would’ve been nice to use during the night as it got quite uncomfortably stuffy and I was tossing and turning all night - and you can’t even open the windows!
After a less than satisfactory nights sleep I went to make a cup of tea - but the kettle didn’t work either so I made one with the hot water tap in the bathroom, atleast it was warm enough to dunk the complimentary ginger biscuit which was nice 😂
Breakfast was lovely, polite service from the chefs - a wide variety of food to choose from - I had the full English breakfast which was fresh, hot and tasty.
Hopefully the faults in our room get sorted for your next guest, which the hotel would’ve known about if your rude receptionist asked how everything was!
Would I come back? Probably not, but it’s a very convenient location, clean and reasonably priced.
T. M.
Great hotel , nice pool and therapy rooms too
S. A.
The staff are wonderful
Downside couldn’t get the tv to work even after they re tuned it the room itself was lovely
Lack of towels 1 hand towel for 2 people the dispenser for soap etc in the bathroom empty and the bathroom could do with a good clean very dirty
A. L.
Absolutely amazing stay. Lovely and very helpful staff. Amazing food and facilities. We can't wait to stay again 👍
H. J.
Highly recommended. Not a fault. We will be here again. Thanks to the duty manager Mehi for his help while we were there, very professional.
A. F.
Great location, lovely decor and staff very helpful. Only problem we had was the aircon not working but the staff sorted us a new room for following night. Pool an added bonus. Would go back. Thanks for a great weekend.
N. N.
Excellent room and tea bar, comfortable bed, kind receptionist, there is good swimming pool and steam room. Delicious breakfast 🍳
K. P.

S.
Visited here a couple great experience both times. Breakfast included is also very good.
A. T.
Quality stay.
All staff helpful and clearly enjoying their job, nothing too much trouble.
Visit to the Spa and pool a very good experience. Thankyou.
C. H.
The staff provided us with a complementary room upgrade, breakfast and desserts on account of it being my boyfriend’s birthday which was lovely of them. The food was great, with many options for vegans/vegetarians. The spa was very relaxing, a little busy but still great. The only downfall I would say is that it was very difficult to work the tv (we eventually gave up after asking twice for a HDMI cable which they never provided). Other than that it is in a great location with amazing views of the shard and tower bridge and for central London it is a fantastic price, I would definitely recommend.
s. n.
Was truly amazing , had issues with a dirty room and was so hot but we was well Looked after and kept happy by the smiley receptionist Samir. He made sure we had everything we needed in the new room and even went to check it out himself and bought us fans. Amazon spa facilities and would definitely recommend. See you again soon
k. s.
OK nice but could be really good if the hotel did the little bits better such there was a damp stain in the bathroom should be painted over TV wasn't able to get all the channels etc
D. I.
Had a lovely room the bed was so big and comfy , breakfast was great plenty to choose from would stay here again
A. L.
Phone didnt work in room. Room was nice and staff helpful. Pool a little tired..
A. B.
I was gifted bed and breakfast at this hotel.
Constantin (concierge) was absolutely amazing very helpful with travel advice made us feel very comfortable. The manager on check in Kabita was wonderful gave us a lovely room. Staff at this hotel are amazing would highly recommend will definitely be back thank you so much for a memorable stay.
J. W.
Absolutely lovely.comfortable bed.friendly staff.
Only fault.dirty rim round the top of the bath.
W. A.
Lovely hotel, opposite the tower of London and staff were attentive and went thr extra mile
J. P.
Nice hotel. Good facilities. Management were very helpful when we had some issues.
C. D.
Lovely hotel good food Lovely pool and sauna staff very helpful thank-you will return
S. S.
Would have given 5 stars but having no AC in the room on the hottest day was a let down particularly as they were aware of it and didnt inform us at reception until we called them! A bit annoyed at that. However we were offered alternative room but declined as we had booked 2 rooms together with our children and we wouldn't have them close by if we changed. We were given a fan in the room instead.
Had to wait for the second room as it wasn't ready. Reception staff were lovely and offered us complimentary breakfast. We also only had one robe in the room (there are two of us!) There was no drinks in the room fridge which also wasn't working and we had to ask for a hairdryer which should have been available in the room already.
The spa had run out of robes and slippers but was a lovely area with indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna room. Not too busy over the weekend when we stayed.
The buffet breakfast was delicious and would recommend. Lots of choice from pastries to hot breakfast, fruit and cereal.
Location is ideal 4 mins walk from Tower Hill Station where you can travel around and connect to other areas which is great. 10 minutes walk to Sky Garden.
Hand sanitisation areas around the hotel. Face masks must be worn in the hotel areas.
On the whole cannot fault the staff who were really friendly. Mirai was lovely and really helpful.
I would stay here again but Leonardo please do sort out issues as it would have been 5 stars 🌟
P. A.
Good spa. Staff were really friendly. Breakfast was great!
Z. B.
Not so attractive from outside but once you step in, it's lovely. We upgraded to a king suite and the views were incredible. We were in room 1205. Couldn't fault the room at all! Was very upset that our couples massage wasnt actually booked in as a couples massage so it ruined my suprise for husbands birthday, We are in the process of trying to get this sorted as we didn't want separate massages so please phone and confirm before coming! Breakfast was OK, variety of cereals, toast, juices, hot drinks, spread, fruit and bakery items, however, it would be nice to have more vegetarian options for the fried breakfast as there was bacon and sausage and only egg, hashbrown and beans for vegetarians, so maybe add vegetarian sausages? The swimming pool, sauna, steam room was great! Loved the jacuzzi but it seemed that there was far too much chlorine or something in as everyone who went in, came out due to our eyes stinging like crazy! Overall, really pleased with the stay. I hope that my problem at the spa can be sorted and I would most certainly come back and stay again! Also Constatin and samir were amazing, very friendly and helpful!
N. B.
Sam on the front desk very helpful, lovely hotel so far. Thank you very much
J. M.
Friendly staff, down to earth and helpful. Had a gig here only so can't comment in rooms
G. D.
We had booked another hotel close by online but on arrival the room was appalling so we tried calling into Leonardos City Hotel. Everybody was very professional and friendly, the room was fabulous and so was the breakfast. Great value and we really felt welcome.
P.
Beautiful room n view. Swimming pool was smaller than expected but i enjoyed my stay. Staff was helpful but be careful about parking because i was given wrong information resukting in me having to pay 50 for parking instead of the 20. Lets say i was not happy about that part.
Z. T.
What can i say about the Leonardo Royal Hotel. Absolutely amazing. Stone throw from the tube and lots of hidden treasures of history London has to offer. Brilliant view of the Tower of London and the bridge. Couple of issues when we arrived but the helpful staff sorted it out straight away. The only criticism i would have is more cocktail option's in the bar. But that is is just my taste 😋
S. R.
Friendly, helpful. staff. Comfortable room and bed. Clean, would stay again.
J. C.
What a very pleasant stay! Special shoutout to Mihal the Duty Manager who went above and beyond for us. We were originally booked for the Executive Room, but because our phone was broken, we were upgraded to a much bigger room with a balcony that boasted unparalleled views of the Tower Bridge. We were also granted a late checkout of 2pm free of charge. Amazing, faultless service from the Leonardo Royal London City team. Not to mention, the hotel itself and its facilities are also equally amazing - from its luxurious decors and elegant touches to its leisure facilities that comprise not only of a gym, swimming pool and sauna, but a jacuzzi and steam room too. Will definitely be back!
j. f.
Everything about this hotel was just what me and my sister needed, friendly staff beautiful location next to St Paul's cathedral and the river tems excellent service.
I took my sister for a 40th birthday over night stay with a spa treatment treat, and from the time we arrived it was nothing more than first class service they went above and beyond
The spa area was just amazing and the massage I had today has left me feeling so zen. The ladies took great care of us and made sure we was well taken care of.
We had dinner and cocktails in the hotel restaurant Leo's the waiter service was perfect great cocktails and lovely atmosphere.
Then took a walk around the tems and St Paul's cathedral.
I will be definitely be returning sooner rather than later.
Thanks for an amazing stay
Jackie Foster

Lovely room .Beautiful views of Tower of London, Shard,
Gherkin and River . Great breakfast and staff so kind and helpful. Can t wait to return. So close to Tube Station too
T. B.
Second visit in a month at this hotel. Amazing room, amazing facilities, amazing service as always. A shoutout to Nancy who works at this hotel, she’s absolutely amazing and a real asset to the hotel, so helpful and kind. Thank you, we will be returning very soon
N. F.
Customer service and breakfast were brilliant, can't fault it however stayed there for 4 days and had to ask at reception for room to be cleaned, room was therefore cleaned once in four days, ran out of shampoo, soap, conditioner etc after the 1st day and was not filled when house keeping had visited, luckily we brought our own. Air con made a lot of bluster but marginally worked, and as you can't open the window and no extractor fan in the bathroom, the room was like an amazonian rain forest.
N. B.
Had a lovely stay here last weekend, the staff were very polite and helpful, the room we had was lovely and overlooked the tower the food was good in the restaurant. We were worried as had read some bad reviews but we had a really good stay with no problems.
R. W.
A well worth stay. Lively. Friendly staff to make it all go with a bang
R. K.
Good location, average breakfast, good spa, nice room but bathroom was small and ageing
D. M.
Customer service is excellent. Due to covid our fridge was not working which was a bummer but not their fault. Otherwise a lovely place to stay and would definitely return
T.
For the amount we paid for a room i dont think the experience matched as well as other places do. The value just wasn't there. Staff was friendly, however, we got stuck with a room facing Fenchurch Station. It was almost as if we were in the train itself. The hygiene wasn't top notch and the mini fridge had an open socket hanging out of the wall with exposed wires. The pool ended up being quite crowded too but thats just unlucky timing really so I just didn't get to experience what was supposed to be real value at this location. Sure, the tower is literally steps away but I dont feel that the overall experience was worth it.
D. W.
Great hotel, breakfast very nice will stay again
C. H.
Lovely stay,. Hotel room was clean & very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. One of the best we've had in a hotel stay
c. w.
Outstanding hotel and staff were extremely accommodating especially valence, he couldn't have done enough. Will definitely be back to stay to see the beautiful views from the hotel.

This place was perfect for our wedding anniversary was their for two nights. Situated in a great location 2mins from tower hill underground station 5mins to tower hill pier for thames boat ride. 6mins from tower bridge.
Has a spa pool gym facilities a jacuzzi staff were very friendly welcoming. The decor was beautiful views from my room was to die for. You gotta go here.
A. M.
Excellent hotel great location next to Fenchurch Street Station and a short walk to Tower of London as well.
S. L.
Great hotel in London city, fabulous facilities in the pool/spa. My room was on the 10th floor and there was just no air in the heat but an extra fan was delivered no prob and that sorted my nights sleep Highly recommended.
S. P.
Really lovely gem of a hotel in the city. Nice clean rooms. They need to sign post to lifts on each floor as you can get lost!
A. B.
Great location right by Tower Hill tube, great views and comfortable accommodation
L. G.
Lovely place Spa was amazing room was amazing but the hotel staff were slightly useless and the room service is mon existent, but overall a nice place, would recommend if your going to be out alot of the time!
K. V.
Lovely hotel, great location. Me and my partner both enjoyed our stay.
M. S.
Just checked out after an excellent 3 nights.
Hotel, staff, food and rooms all excellent.
Would strongly recommend.

Excellent place for Conducting corporate events and really enjoyed the event last week... well organized and the food was excellent..
C. C.
Lovely room need to check on the view as not all great as looking at train station.
Staff helpful at reception and did offer to have our room changed the next day and was sorted but tired out from day shopping so option not taken.
S. A.
Reception looks nice but the rooms look abit tried some of the switches don't seem to work in the room. Rooms are big and spacious and Service is good though.
K. S.
Lovey hotel, great location for the city. King rooms are a good size, food was good. Really good gym and spa facilities, Would definitely recommend staying here if visiting the city.
Z. B.
Beautiful site. Lovely sized rooms. Nice team.
S. D.
Smooth check in process, great room design, breakfast and facilities but with some cosmetic wear to the walls of the room.
M. M.
Although there was initial misunderstanding about the room, the receptionist did all she could to make our stay amazing! The staff are amazing, the rooms were excellent and the view from the window is one to die for :-) The swimming pool was lovely too, and included in the price :-) Thanks!
S. B.
Lovely spacious room, amazing view of tower bridge and the shard.
P. K. A. G.
Has 2 separate properties , staff is friendly , decent rooms :-)

Went for a spa day just before Christmas and really enjoyed it. The place is very quiet, the changing rooms are clean and they provide you with robes, slippers and a locker key. There is sauna, steam room, aroma therapy room, jacuzzi and a big pool. The only downside is that there are no chairs around the pool so not much space to relax or leave your stuff. My treatments were excellent though. Highly recommended
M. W.
great hotel, very convenient next to to tube and opposite tower of london
R. P.
One of the best nights away I've had. Hotel staff are nothing but accommodating and helpful. Spa area is calm, clean and relaxing. Stayed in the presidential suite which was nothing short of amazing and had THE best view! Highly recommend, good value for money also. Will be returning and recommending.
H. R.
Absolutely loved this hotel. All the staff are so friendly and kind - every one of them. Our room was beautiful and the bed and pillows are so comfy. The pool and sauna are great extras. Location is perfect. Lots of great breakfast options.

I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone! For the price, location, views from the room but mostly for the service they provided over our weekend stay! Visited for my husband birthday and they came to the room with a cake to help start our celebrations which is something no other hotel has done before. All the staff were very pleasant, check in and out was simple and breakfast was lovely with lots of choices.
Great hotel and only seconds away from Tower Hill station!
K. S.
My company paid for my accommodation for 3 nights so I can’t comment on value for money. However, my stay was completely perfect. The staff were extremely courteous. Breakfast spread was good and vegetarian friendly including hash browns, yogurts, salads, dried fruits, fresh fruits, toast, baked beans, collection of croissants and muffins, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms, although, it was the same everyday. Bed was comfortable and warm. Bathtub and bath essentials were adequate. Spacious room (superior) by London standards. Quiet neighbourhood as the hotel is in a by lane right next to Double tree by Hilton and Novotel. It also has a temperature controlled swimming pool and spa that I never got the chance to experience. The hotel has a really warm feel to it and I just really really liked it!
S. M.
Concierges very helpful and friendly. Hotel is going through renovation, but it didn't bother us. No noise. Our room was one of the older ones, but still spacious and comfortable. Bed was good. Hotel is right next to Tower Hill Tube Station and the Tower. Area has plenty of pubs and such.
T.
Love visiting here when venturing into the city
Service hit and miss
Front desk needs some changes with more welcoming staff but restaurant particularly breakfast staff are 5 🌟
K. L.
Beds were comfy !! Lovely big bath tub. Very clean. Great value of money. Location was great and staff were lovely. We also got an upgrade to a higher up floor and a better view which was lovely. Vert good collection of food items in breakfast. Great swimming pool.
S. G.
What a fabulous hotel, from the moment we arrived we had 5 star service. Suitcases taken from us and stored, polite staff who couldn't do enough for you. I was luckily enough to receive a complimentary upgrade. The room was clean, beautiful and with everything you could hope for from Iron to drink facilities to mini bar. This hotel looks over at the London bridge and a room with this view would be amazing to wake up to. I highly recommend this hotel especially if you would like some luxury while visiting London
C. M.
We had an amazing experience from the greetings to goodbye. We got a huge room and a birthday cake was brought to our room which was unexpected and very much appreciated. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and had good variety. Pancake machine makes fresh pancakes for you while you wait. Excellent service by staff. Already planning our next visit.
J. T.
Beautiful hotel clean rooms and incredibly helpful staff, nothing was too much to ask. Really close to the tube for great links to the rest of London. My only gripe was that the pool was freezing cold and there were no real accommodations for children as it is lane swimming at all times. Even then it's limited to just four hours in the day.
M. C.
I had an excellent stay at this hotel. Lady on reception was very kind and polite. She found us a very nice room facing Shard and made our stay very special. Breakfast spread was very nice with ample variety. Omelette counter was particularly nice touch. We had a lovely stay and cant fault anything. Wish I remembered the name of the receptionist who checked us in...
V. C.
Friendly staff and an interesting atmosphere. The art Deco style can look a little out of place but actually I think it works well with the vibe the hotel is going for. The hotel hosted an event where the facilities were good and the lunch provided was excellent. Would recommend for use by others looking for conference venues etc.
J. S.
The Hotel is beautiful and the room was lovely and inviting.
I enjoyed my spar experience. I look forward to returning.
r. j.
A very attractive modern hotel ideally situated in the city close to Tower Bridge and virtually adjacent to Tower Hill underground opposite the four seasons hotel. My spacious room was tastefully finished in traditional brown furniture with attractive cornices. The bed was spacious and extremely comfortable. The view from the bedroom windows was spectacular featuring the original Roman wall that surrounded the city. My only criticism was the tiny bathroom and shower which entailed climbing over the bath to access and was slippery when stood up although an anti skid mat was provided. The restaurant was delightful in an art deco style and reminded me of the restaurant in the original Queen Mary ocean liner. In the basement was a spectacular Georgian style massive swimming pool with Tuscan pillars and a health spa. Well worth a visit!
A. W.
The room really was out dated and one of the main reasons we booked the hotel was for access to the pool which only had very restricted family/kid hours and the water was absolutely freezing. I also really hoped for a decent view, requested one, but our room looked onto a wall.
The location was fine but not sure I would stay here again for the price.
N. S.
Formally the grange hotel it is at a convenient location. It’s very close to the tower bridge and the tower hill, Aldgate train stations. 5 stars for the location however I won’t categorize this as a “luxury” hotel. The rooms are a bit dated however clean. They have a OK fitness center but a very good and full length swimming pool. Lastly the breakfast was included in my rate and I thought the buffet was very good however I don’t think it’s worth 23 pounds if it’s not included in your rate.
K. K.
5 start 5 star 5 star amazing experience all staff was on point! The Room was spacious and comfy couldn't give any negatives
M. B.
2nd visit, Nancy pulled out all the stops. Fab breakfast.
L. F.
Booking in at reception easy and lady upgraded us to a room with view of Tower Bridge and Tower of London (TY) Breakfast delivered to room as Covid restrictions still in place. Room great, staff great and good location for tube. Considering the lack of tourists in London I take my hat off to the the hotel and staff in these trying times of Covid
H. L.
The price paid was in line with other London hotels available for that night although expensive; the experience was pleasant but not without a few niggles. First off the location is great for the Tower of London and minutes away from the nearest tube station. There was an issue checking in in the fact that our room wasn't ready, so we had to wait in the lobby for 20 minutes for it to be cleaned. The room was a good size, clean and tidy, but in my opinion not as grand as the hotel lobby and not of the same standard as other 5* hotels I've stayed in previously. The hotel staff did enter our room in the evening - whilst we were out - to close the blinds and add a chocolate mint to our pillows; whilst a nice touch, I wish I knew this so we could have not left personal belongings strewn across the room when getting ready in a hurry! The well-being facilities were good; the pool was lane only swimming and the hot tub, steam room, sauna and aromatherapy room were quite small but luckily it was quiet when we used them. The reception staff were polite but didn't explain much, we had no idea how to use the lockers so ended up hanging our belongings in the main pool area. Checking out the following morning was easy, although it was suggested that we'd used the mini bar and it felt like we had to convince them that we hadn't. Concierge were very helpful when we'd realised we'd left something in our room and in booking attraction tickets for us. Overall it was a decent stay but I wouldn't stay again unless the price was significantly cheaper.
M. C.
While my overall experience was positive, it is hard to recommend a place that has to move you twice over the course of a week due to faulty air conditioning, including one burning in the middle of the night.
The breakfast that you could add to the bill was decent. The exercise and pool facilities were solid.
I don't have much experience with other British or European hotels to compare, but the experience was definitely below what I'd expect for the price, when I'm in the States.
D. G.
Mixed feelings. Impressive when we first arrived in the reception area and expecting high standards as it's a 5 star hotel. Very disappointed when going in to our first room because it wasn't clean and we found rubbish (cigarette butts) left on the balcony. The second room wasn't much better because of dust and a dirty phone.
Thankfully the third and final room has provided us with a fabulous view of the Tower and the Shard! Settees however need replacing if not cleaned (shabby).
Breakfast was fine (could be hotter) and the pool, sauna and other fitness rooms are excellent.
Puzzled about the large size of the room with a small bathroom!
Unlikely to return, although it's location is the biggest plus factor.
The Concierge helped us so much throughout our stay and that's the only other plus factor.
D. C.
Nice enough hotel. A little rough around the edges
N. M.
We stayed as a family of seven adults & two grandchildren for 3 nights. It was for a special birthday treat. We had great rooms with a view onto the Thames River & the tower bridge. It was a great hotel very central to access the train..the Thames boats & the bus. Staff were very friendly & service was excellent. I would definitely stay here again if i ever have the opportunity to visit London again.
R. J.
We were in London for 1 week for our wedding photo shoot and stayed at the Leonardo Hotel. The service was exceptional! The rooms are very big and the lady, whom I believe was the manager (wish I knew her name), was super nice and accommodating and helped me hang my wedding dress on the curtain rod and provided extra hangers. Breakfast is great and fresh with fabulous coffee and various kinds of fresh bread and tasty croissants.Location is close to most historic places. We either walked or took a 10-15 min Uber to most places. Highly recommended for central London hotel.
M. G.
Good venue for a conference. Seated 150 comfortably with break out areas. Very light and airy. Reception staff attentive, attractive bar and located a stones throw from the tube. Minor issue: the conference room was a tad cold. The hotel room itself was fine and reasonably priced.
A. R.
Great stay at the Grange. We were greeted by friendly staff who kindly upgraded our room. The Spa is very nice with all your expected features. Only downside was that the jacuzzi was out of order! The bed was a nice queen sized and super comfy, so great overall stay. Would definitely stay there again.
J. C.
Did not expect the Hotel to meet the photo but it exceeded it, totally breath-taking. Very entertaining watching all the ferries coming and going from the balcony. Location was out of this world. Friendly staff. Dinner and Breakfast efficient, well presented and fresh. Wish we could have stayed longer.
M. M.
Great location, right next to the tube. Good value and breakfast included if booked through the site. Got a free upgrade to an executive suite.
Pool, hot tub and aromatherapy room we're great.
Room was big with nice view of the tower of London, but dusty. 2 single beds pushed together. Bathroom was tiny with 1ply toilet paper, shower pressure was great and lovely toiletries.
Continental breakfast was boring with limited choice. Chicken wings from room service we're horrible.
S. A.
A lovely hotel and staff. Breakfast was lovely and facilities (gym, pool, sauna, steam room, aromatherapy room) were brilliant. Sadly the jacuzzi was out of action during the stay. The hotel emailed me within 24 hours to advise me of my dietary requirements, which was lovely. Would love to stay again. Very convenient for transport, food and tower bridge.
C. H.
Really enjoyed our stay. Very nice staff. Swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna were great. A very well decorated, traditional building. Location was brilliant, 2 seconds away from the tube station. Plenty are restaurants within a 20 minute walk. Room was a little small and didn't have many sockets (none either side of the bed).
D. A.
A lovely modern hotel. Recently changed ownership but it has the same fresh clean rooms. The lounge area is spacious and clean with a Starbucks franchise.
The closeness to St Paul’s Cathedral and the Tate Modern over the Millennium Bridge make this a great area for tourists.
G. D. (.
Very welcoming and attentive staff. I was there for a conference. The presentation hall was large and funished well with the latest technology to present. Coffee and tea was served to us at intervals and with a welcoming smile. The quality of lunch was of the highest standard. I cannot fault the hotel on this day in any way.

After very poor start an terrible first impressions we checked in late to get room adjoining lift shaft with the worst view no air con an the loudest fan instead so headed to reception next morning to be greeted by Nancy who was brilliant happy friendly and willing to help she saved our weekend and sorted everything out for us so thanks again and because of you we are coming back September well done Nancy

Really lovely hotel. Very friendly with very efficient staff. Clean and tidy rooms with all necessary equipment. Bar prices reasonable and the use of the spa as well as breakfast included in the price you can't go wrong with this place. Location to the tube and surrounding areas was spot on ..will definitely stay again ....highly recommend this place.

Had an excellent stay at this hotel. We were celebrating our anniversary and were very excited to know that the gentleman on reception was able to upgrade us to a room with beautiful view. All the staff members were very courteous and helpful. Highly recommended!!

We had a nice stay at this hotel. Staff of the hotel itself was friendly. The room was decent, clean. Might need a bit of an upgrade, it seemed out dated. The first day breakfast was fine. However the restaurants in the hotel were very dissapointed. The staff in the Japanese one weren't friendly at all.. we ordered a bento box. They served the bento box with a plate of prawns.. but aparantly they weren't part of the bento menu. Staff started cussing at us, very inappropriate and professional.. asking if we ever ate at a japanese restaurant before and charged us extra money for the prawns eventho it wasn't our mistake. We were very dissapointed.
Tip: keepers bar across the street :) we dined there every night after this incident.. they were super friendly and more delicious, Prices were better than the japanese restaurant, you get more for your money!
R. C.
The hotel is clean and decorated to a high standard. There was an error with the room we had been given however staff on reception were excellent and swapped it back to the original booking straight away and transferred our luggage to the new room. Excellent views from the bedroom balcony
S. Y.
Enjoyed every night staying at the hotel especially with teenage kids. Great location with lovely surroundings. They are some refurbishment going on in the building as there are signs at the reception but I never seen or heard anything. Very professional. Definitely staying there on my next visit.

This is not a five star hotel in reality. We may have been unfortunate but had a room with the Ac not working and it was hot, although they were very quick to come and rectify, there was no soap in the bathroom, so a second call and the the lights were failing, which we really couldn't be bothered with. It's nice enough and the staff were all nice polite and reacted to issues quickly, but for a five star hotel, it's a little tired and you shouldn't have the issues. The room doesn't even come with complimentary bottled water.

Just returned from a fantastic weekend at the grange city hotel. The staff were brilliant, polite and friendly ! The room was large and very comfortable. We had a double bed each with lovely soft pillows. The swimming pool is beautiful and the location is perfect for sightseeing ! Would recommend this hotel highly. Very reasonably priced for this location and standard. The only criticism was the price of the drinks in the Isis bar. other than this it was a perfect stay !!!
T. M.
Stayed in room 306 which was very comfortable and spacious. The staff were so helpful and all delegates complimented on the high standards of the hotel. We had a nice breakfast the next morning but nothing out of the ordinary. We only went for a continental breakfast but it was plenty. The food was amazing.
A. K.
Fantastic hotel - loved every minute of my stay from the check in to checkout. The rooms are clean, tidy and spacious and offer a nice set of amenities. If you have forgotten things you can get extras from the front desk. The location is superb allowing you to quickly reach tower bridge and the tower of london. Tube access is just around the corner as well and you have a good selection of restaurants to choose from.
Staff are friendly and helpful
A. O.
Excellent room! Friendly, helpful staff!
M. R.
We stayed in the wonderful Executive Room with view of Tower of London and it was perfect. The bed was comfortable, great swimming pool and everything else classy. Staff extremely helpful. We will come back and stay when we visit London again. This will be our favourite hotel.
G. T.
Excellent centrally located hotel with first class staff. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and quiet. Modern bathroom stocked with all the essentials.
The fitness area has a sizeable pool, sauna, steam room, aromatherapy room, jacuzzi along with gym facilities. Maybe we were lucky but the facilities were very quiet when we visited. Had a fab pedicure while we were there for a very reasonable price.
Continental breakfast buffet had a good selection of meats, cheeses, breads pastries and cereals however items don't get restocked much past 9.30.
M.
Good for meetings and banquets; very professional set-up. The banqueting food was also very nice. The impression, though, was the staff were somewhat detached and even just navigating around the hotel wound up being a bit of a challenge. But overall very nice hotel and quite a good location in London.

We stayed one night with our daughter and husband to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. I had requested rooms near to one another which they did. However I booked 2 executive rooms which I understood had tower bridge views. Unfortunately we overlooked fenchurch street rail track. So disappointed. Especially as I had requested a view being a special occasion. The hotel was clean and staff very nice. Breakfast too which we upgraded to full English. I have since heard from the Grange City hotel. They have been very apologetic and offered a satisfactory outcome.
G. H.
My husband and I booked a room after deciding we could not do another night of rainy and cold camping. It is in a great location with accommodating and friendly staff. Many shops and entertainment was a short walk away. Breakfast was good, Excellent king size bed.
P. R.
Fantastic place to stay only close to many attractions.
H. L.
Normally stay at the Grange hotels for work as find them to be very friendly, nice hotels. This was my first time at the city and didn't prefer it as much as the Tower. Whilst the room was clean there was a broken light in the bathroom (which was fixed by the time I checked out) and the lifts had broken down. I reported the lifts as it had only just happened and whilst I was fine to carry my case up the stairs just the offer from the staff member would have been nice instead of allowing another guest to offer. I reported for two days that the staff needed to stop wedging open a fire door but it fell on deaf ears.... I also normally get complimentary water on my stays but didn't receive this either.
The room I was allocated was noisy but think this was due to people using the stairs.
Not a bad hotel but just missing that extra to make it a good stay.
K.
For the room cost per night, I figured this would be the treat to end my vacation. Sadly, the amenities in our double room did not meet expectations.
I do have plenty of fantastic things to say about the concierge though! Brilliant service.
J. P.
The rooms are very spacious and the staff very helpful and accommodating. Bed could be a little more comfy but overall the rooms are good and ours had a good view. Very centrally located and one minute walk from tower hill subway. The pool is really excellent and looks great. There's a sauna and steam room too
N. M.
We have stayed at The Grand several times. A great place to stay when in London with views of the Tower of London if you are lucky with the room. A quality hotel which you can get at reasonable prices. I take my swimming gear each time we visit but I am yet to use what I am told is a fantastic pool. Next time!
A. W.
Great location, helpful staff. Our room was very spacious with a king size bed.
P. A.
Beautiful hotel, having stayed at Grange hotels before my expectations were high. It was my Husband's birthday so I planned spa treatments and fruit basket with champagne on arrival as a special touch for him. Unfortunately this was not the case. Our room was so small you couldn't swing a cat. This was supposed to be an upgrade from superior to executive. This was reviewed after I stood my ground. They offered a studio which certainly was bigger. The champagne arrived late in the evening. .. dressing gowns were too small and poor quality certainly not what I had experienced with the Grange before.
Breakfast we had to queue for approximately 10 - 15 min. Why compromise on quality and standards to save money.
I. J.
Really excellent service from staff. Welcoming, friendly and helpful. Some staff were over professional and missed the mark on making you feel special. Breakfast was 5* for the full English. Rooms and beds were very clean and comfortable. Reservations was extremely helpful over the phone,
Thank you.
M. R.
Hotel is right next to the rail station and overlook river Thames. We had a great time. Good meals. Overnight stay was a gift from our son. Had no time to visit spa - health centre but if we return we would make full use.
W. W. J. C.
Excellent. Staff were very friendly, and the rooms were excellent. I had a view overlooking the tower of London and Tower Bridge, at night it was just breathtaking. The breakfast was very good, I upgraded to the full English breakfast, but from what I saw of the complimentary continental breakfast, it was also excellent. Would definitely stay there again.
S. W.
A good hotel but unfortunately was allocated a converted meeting room as a bedroom. It was complete with a folding partition to open out into two rooms (it was shut) so never quite felt fully comfortable. Slightly too quick to clear my table at breakfast when had just popped to get some more juice.
R. G.
The queue to check in was frustrating 😤
The hotel overall was nice. Main toilets in reception were a mess.
Room was nice well turned out radio was a bosse system but the tuning was rough.
The staff were ALL pleasant helpful courteous and polite.
The location of the hotel is really good.
We did get back from the theatre at just before 10:00 and had to use the restaurant at the hotel over the road as roomservice had become the only option.
M. R. U.
Small rooms, dated bathrooms. Very good breakfast buffet. Staff were not the easiest to work with. Porters were excellent and professional. Housekeeping staff were also great. The pool/gym is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Great view from the 11th floor
R. S.
Nice and clean hotel, near to underground station.
M. T.
Lovely staff. Upgraded to a suite which was a really spacious room. Far bigger than we had expected/paid for. Would recommend to anyone staying in Tower Hill area as hotel is short distance from tube station.
C. G.
We stayed for a hen weekend and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet. Spa facilities were good, though could have done without air con blasting over the pool - a bit chilly!
P. D.
Former Grange Hotel. Great location in walking distance to the Tower. Soft refurbishment is planned and needed. Dont pay too much, there are many other hotels in walking distance. Orchid Suites Hotel spend last year and is a much better option.

What a gorgeous hotel in the heart of London for a reasonable price. My husband book a Romance package which was 1 nights stay in double room, half bottle champagne, 25 min treatment each in the spa & use of facilities & 3 course meal. We arrived at 10:00 as we had our treatment booked for 10:30, the room wasnt ready until 3pm. We gave our bags to concierge and went to the spa.
Unfortunately the spa made a mistake with our times and couldn't offer us our massages so they arranged a full refund of the treatment costs. The spa facilities were nice and clean. I managed to have my eyebrows waxed and the therapist was thorough and polite. The treatment room was spacious and well equipped. Next to the pool there is a hot tub, steam room, sauna & aromatherapy room. The female changing rooms dont have private cubicles but that didnt bother me (you could use the showers or toilets if you preferred some privacy) you had use of hairdryers and a straightening iron which I thought was a great touch!! My husband used the gym and said the cross trainer was broken as didnt keep his distance record correctly. After the spa we got dressed and went off for the day.
We returned to check in at 16:30 and the receptionist was very apologetic about the spa incident and immediately upgraded us to a Penthouse Suite with later checkout until 2pm. I was more than happy and really didnt expect it especially as we never complained. We was on 12th Floor Room 1208 it was stunning. Massive chandeliers and plenty of space with a kitchen, living area, bedroom & ensuite. The bed was 2 doubles put together so it was huge!! My goodness the views!!!!!! Absolutely stunning over looking the Thames, Tower Bridge, Tower of London & The Shard.
Dinner was a set menu with some nice choices, food was cooked well and tasted lovely (but I wasnt keen on the tomato soup) Staff were friendly and attentive.
My husband watched the England rugby game at their sports bar which was decent size, nice bar & an ok amount of TV screens.
All in all even though we had a rocky start they completely put all the stops out to make sure our stay was amazing!! Very happy!
S. M.
if you book a room with a view definetely it will be worth it! receptionist staff was great, ready to help and offer the best solutions to let us enjoy our stay ,highly raccomanded

This hotel is great, near to a subway station, and near to the Tower of London. We booked a suite, which was really clean, and with a huge bathroom (I actually never saw a bathroom that big). While we were eating outside, the staff got our room ready for sleep : they pulled the curtains and kindly opened our beds.
T. M.
Got a free upgrade that made me feel dead fancy. The location is perfect for the financial center of the city. Breakfast is utterly inconsistent. I was part of a tour group (single) and my room was very comfortable. Easily by far the best hotel I've stayed in the UK.
D. K.
It's is meant to be a 5 star hotel, but even within 5 stars there are levels. It has the amenities, but the general decor and comfort I would say is a 2 star at best.
We only spent one night here and paid £120 for the room only with no breakfast. So a very cheap 5 star for London. It was booked through last minute... As a secret hotel, supposedly discounted. On the positive side, the staff were very good but the interior let's it down.
P. D.
The hotel is lovely, the amenities and rooms feel luxurious, and the price is appropriate. It's a stone's throw from the metro, which is great to get around and do things, though the area itself is more for business. Buyer be warned: it is NOT non-smoking, and some guest wings smell of it. To compensate for this, housekeeping will always leave the window in your room open, meaning it can be very cold when you return from your day.
J. N.
Hotel with very close proximity to The Tower of London. Value for money and much higher quality than other central London hotels at this price point.
Bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked without being too noisy. Good shower and the room had a bath.
C. C.
Fantastic service! Staff were accommodating, friendly and always on hand. Room was amazing.. View was just sublime! Clean, tidy, spacious and extras were laid on with care and love. Breakfast was packed full of options, from continental to Full English. Would recommend fully, will be coming back!
E. D.
It's our third time staying at this hotel. I think that says alot about we think of the hotel . Ask for a room with a view. Breakfast us excellent. The bar food is excellent and will fill you up. Great service. Great location to the tube. You feel very comfortable safe in this part of town. We will be back for a fourth visit next year.

I had book the stay from 15th to 18th December 19. After check In we found out that our room was noisy due to the lift in the hotel, because I m a light sleeper. Informed the reception at about 10pm. The hotel staffs took my complain seriously and particularly Mr Mihai. He attend to me professionally and doing his best to solve my issue. At 11pm he managed to change my room for me. I would like to compliment all the staffs in this hotel. They very helpful and willing to help you if you need it. Always make you feel very welcomed. Thanks for the great experience. Cheers!!!!
Best Regards

The staff at this hotel couldn't have been more helpful, they were exceptional. The room was clean and tidy, no complaints there!
The spa was a little chilly and, unfortunately for our visit, the Jacuzzi wasn't in action. Would definitely consider staying here again though, as its location right behind Tower Hill station was perfect.
R. C.
Great location, a short walk from the tube station. Friendly reception staff, good sized rooms with comfortable beds. Some rooms have great views, I am told!
Excellent pool, spa, steam room, sauna and aromatherapy facilities with friendly and helpful staff again. Would definitely return.
L. K.
Very nice rooms. Very friendly staff. Food extremely expensive - use some pubs around. Beautiful and romantic furniture. At the bathroom, there is a children safety, so you get only hot water, when you trick it. The rooms should be more carefully cleaned. In my room there were things which belongs not to me, under the ironing station and behind the desk - not nice.
S. C.
Decent rooms, quiet. Upon arrival, TV did not work, and then phone was broken in replacement room. Windows open on offices located quite nearby, and curtains did not include privacy sheers
Check in experience was also mildly unpleasant. Hotel appears geared more to the tourist market than business travelers.
M. M.
Great rooms, just next to the tower Hill metro station.
No evening restaurant but a bar that serves steaks and so.
The swimmingpool was werry cold and the jacussi was out of order.
The Breakfast was not as great as expected some days there was Toast and No Fresh bread.
M. C.
This hotel is probably the nicest hotel of many that I have stayed in over the years. The staff all seem eager to please and are very professional and courteous. The restaurant staff are particularly good at their jobs. The food is totally excellent and I am lucky to have stayed enough nights to have sampled most of the menu now. Having stayed there all week in room 1016 which has an excellent view overlooking the Tower and Tower Bridge, I am due to return on Sunday for the whole week. Quite frankly, I am more than looking forward to it. That's how highly I rate this hotel.
V. D.
Nice hotel, had a lovely spa experience but massage could have been better.
S. E.
I LOVE this hotel... it's true 5🌟 class... beautiful rooms with solid walnut wood furniture and details... spacious rooms... perfect night sleep bedding... soundproof almost! The nice touches like a powerful shower... a bath... lush spa toiletries and the most lovely staff. The FREE Jacuzzi, sauna and Olympic size swimming pool seal the deal! I wanted to live there... the receptionists are so professional, yet approachable. You can request a lovely bath robe and slippers... gorgeous fresh flower displays... the location is incredible... you wall outside and there's tower bridge! I could go ON and ON... this is THE place to relax into luxury. THANK YOU you amazing hotel you. xxx
C. H.
The hotel was easy to find. The catering of food and and presentation was good too.
However, the venu itself was a bit out of dated and quite slow ceiling. It is also difficult to see what is happening if you are at the back of the presentation with the small screen.
L. S.
Excellent rooms, spa and hotel in general. Very clean, shower was powerful and rooms big enough to relax in. The only issue was with the check-in staff but not too much of an issue really. Very nice bar opposite and lovely stay.
S. B.
Loved it. The staff were so sweet, helpful and respectful. They ordered me a taxi and I even got redirected by the Tower Hill branch when I ended up there due to my poor Google maps skill. Very welcoming and accommodating.
E. M.
I was a little worried when I got to my room and realised it was right next to the train line. But actually I didn't hear a thing the whole night and slept really well. The bed was very comfortable. Generally the hotel could do with a little modernising though. The towel holder and showed controls fell off in my hand in the morning! Breakfast was nice. Standard hotel fayre. Location is good as well being so close to London tower
M. C.
Location was the best thing. Right across from tower of London and tower bridge. A good launch point to explore the city. Words of caution though. Beds were very uncomfortable and the rooms extremely small. We stayed 2 nights waiting for our cruise to depart. Service was good and rates were reasonable.
W. H.
From check in to check out I couldn't ask for a better class of service..
Food was amazing, Service staff world class
Accommodation extremely comfortable
Close to Tower Of London and central London
Great location with nice comfortable rooms. Staff were helpful. Warm reception.
We have nothing but compliments to all the team and our special thanks.
The hotel is in walking distance of the tube, river taxi and buses. Arrived slightly early, was allowed to check in and leave bags with concierge, which are safely stored, staff were kind and polite at desk. We requested a higher room as we had originally been located on a lower level. This was done without extra cost or hassle, staff were really accommodating of the request.
Room was on fifth floor beside lift, which worried me, however, never heard anything from it, didn't cause any sleep disturbance. The room was clean and spacious and the view was really impressive. It is slightly dated, but it didn't impact on the trip, wasn't there to look at a hotel room all day and night.
Went for breakfast in the morning, which is not included in the price, so we paid separately for this. The cooked breakfast was approx £23 each, it's a bit of a shock, but considering the wide selection of food and drinks and being able to eat as much as you want then, it's worth the price. It's London after all.
Checkout was easy with absolutely no hassle.
Looked at the reviews prior to going, which didn't fill me with much confidence, however, we didn't have any of the problems that others have had.
Prices are at a competitive rate. Would visit again without any hesitation.

Lovely hotel. Very friendly welcoming staff. Excellent pool and jacuzzi. And views over the London Bridge. Perfect location at Fenchurch street and they provide a left luggage service. Thus works well for us to arrive in London. Drop our luggage and go across the road to the bus stop.
The rooms are cozy and the bed is huge.
T. M.
My wife and I have stayed at this hotel a number of times now and we have to say that we are always warmly welcomed. Clean and maintenance of room and common areas. A full English breakfast was included in the fare. Good value if you can get a deal but not worth paying full price.

The Grange City Hotel is a fantastic hotel & it’s in a brilliant location for Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, the Shard & HMS Belfast.
The rooms are very nice & they are a good size. In addition to being a good size our room had had a desk, two chairs & table, hairdryer, a well stocked minibar, plenty of storage space & a wardrobe, flat screen TV with multiple channels & radio stations, as well as a Boose CD & Radio sound system.
Our bathroom had various toiletries, bath with bath shower mixer tap, shower enclosure with a powerful shower, WC & wash hand basin, shaver socket & mirrors.
The spa facilities are absolutely great with a huge swimming pool & gym.
Staff at the hotel are very friendly & breakfast was great too with a wide range continental choice or Hot buffet choice of bacon, scrambled egg, sausages, mushrooms, hash browns & baked beans.
I found room service to be very good with a wide menu choice. I opted for steak ciabatta with fries at £14.50 & I have to say it was delicious with plenty of fries.
Drinks in the bar were reasonably priced too with various beers at £4.75 a pint & various spirits from £5.50
I would definitely return here in the near future & I would recommend booking directly with the hotel as you could become a Grange rewards member.
Furthermore, I’m sure due to becoming a Grange rewards member we had an upgrade on room which was very nice.
Tower Hill underground station is less than a minute walk away & it’s also a stones throw away from Fenchurch Street Railway Station. In addition to being so close to these transport stations it’s just a short walk to Tower Gateway DLR station. I also noticed a couple of taxis parked outside the hotel too. So the hotel is in a fantastic location for getting around London.
10/10 in every area.
v. U.
Excellent service staff was always pleasantly happy to help taking extra steps to make our stay in the hotel enjoyable. definitely we will be coming back again...
B. B.
Ok...a bit rough and in need of a good cleaning in the common areas. A large piece of cellophane stayed on the hallway floor for a day, despite having the room service tray beside it picked up. Restaurant and bar were empty and a little creepy, save for breakfast which was only average. Health club was good. Staff were friendly and helpful though.
L. E.
The rooms are nice really doubt. The gym is really good size. It's close to Tower Bridge, which is a pretty convenient location. Room service is average, but not bad. And you can order from two other restaurants besides the room service in the hotel.
Y. K.
Nice reception, lovely clean and spacious room. Helpful and professional staff. Easy check in and check out. Decent breakfast - just a little low on vegetarian options. Did make some veggie sausages but took like 25 mins haha... would defo recommend :)
L. N.
This hotel has friendly and welcoming staff members there to greet you as you arrive but they could do with having a few more people on in the morning to support those checking out. Overall a lovely hotel and I always stay here (if it's available) when I'm working in London
S. J.
I came to visit a friend who is staying at the hotel the room I must say was really nice and she had suggested we go the Lutetia bar today (15th feb) and yesterday which was Valentine’s Day. I have stayed at the hotel in the past and I always thought the service was always great but today and yesterday the bar was quite busy but the 2 waitresses made sure to give me the best possible service and I give them credit for their hard work. I noticed that Another woman a blonde looking woman Who was working at the bar was on the phone while Serving customers which I found very odd especially while having a full on conversation with someone on the phone and taking customers orders and serving the customers. I have worked in hospitality in the past In the management department and never have I seen an bartender serve a customer while talking on the phone infront of the customers which I find very unprofessional and appalling but overral the drinks and food was great and I would come again when the new bar opens
A. M.
I could see how this was a 5 star place at one time, but it doesn’t feel like one now. It is in big need of updates. Not just what it looks like, but the fixtures: showerheads, flickering lights in room, etc. Service was good, location is great, people were nice. Breakfast is expensive considering you have to wait on yourself. Gym doesn’t open to 630am which stinks if you are there for work.
R. D.
Would definitely recommend this hotel both for business event or leisure time. Staff are very up to date with information and are always willing to help make one's stay absolutely delightful. The environment is pristine. There are many restuarants located in and around the hotel. It is also a short walk to the tower of london. Children are welcome here. The rooms are spacious and well decorated.
A. S.
good hotel but it's now lacking the 5* touch now. run down and staff could do with learning better customer service. spa area nice and clean but would be nice if there was individual changing rooms. needs improvements
S. P.
Initially quite impressed with the lobby and concierge staff (they are very friendly) but, check-in took forever as their system wouldn't recognize my Canadian address and then...... The room was ok but the handles on the drawers are falling off, the door to the coffee bar won't close and some of the light switches require jiggling. The first night I had lovely turn down service but, having stayed 3 nights, I never got it again...... There was an issue with the fuses on the first night and my lights wouldn't work until someone came up to fix it. On the first morning, I hung my bath mat to dry over the edge of the tub, they took it away and didn't replace it; the next day I didn't get face cloths... Each thing is quite minor but all together they certainly don't add up to a 5 star stay. I must say that I am quite disappointed.
M. D.
You so very nearly got a 5 star. Shower screen doesn't slide, beds great, but only supplies for 2 in a room sleeping 3. And the keys are rubbish by the way. Out of three, only one worked completely for 2 nights.
H. K.
Great. Nice staff, hotel is a Little dated and the cleaning in the spa and changing rooms Was very poorly done. Doors where filthy and with big black handmarks in the brass plates. And the florsocker equally unhygienical. But THE rooms are nice THE front desk staff excellently serviceminded and THE hotel is Generally Good.
W. H.
Excellent hotel. Nice food and great health center with swimming pool.
E. R.
Glad to have found this place! Spotlessly clean, and I haven't seen a single stain or speck of dirt anywhere. The cleaning staff seem to be cleaning all the time! Sales Manageress Slavyana Nedyalkova is very charming and explained everything about the membership in detail. She spent quite some time with me. Receptionists Maria and Aniko are efficient, pleasant and good at their job.
£60 for a month's off-peak membership is very reasonable and great value for money, given all the facilities you can have; the gym, large pool, jacuzzi, foot spa/jacuzzi, dry sauna and steam room. And of course some classes. This is an excellent deal and is much better than what you get at various gyms in the neighbourhood.
Valeria Luca, beauty therapist and masseuse at the spa is excellent! The facial was heavenly and my skin certainly looked brighter & fresher the next day. Valeria's The massage was also great and was the perfect treatment after working my upper body and feeling some pain in my lats and shoulders.
Personal trainer Ryan Luttman is friendly, pleasant and very easy to work with. Also gives out some useful tips and advice. Despite being rather young, he seems very experienced.
M. R.
It's a perfectly nice hotel, but it is bested by the Grange Tower Bridge nearby, which has larger and more modern rooms throughout. The restaurant is also a more pleasant environment. Satisfying overall though, and would happily stay again.
S. H.
I stayed as an overnight guest for a work event hosted in the hotel. The room was a great size, clean and had everything you'd need to hand.
The conference team were great and I would highly recommend a stay if you're in need of an overnight stop in the City Of London.
D.
Lovely stay for one night, very nice pool and spa, helpful staff, great views

We are staying at The Grange City for my 40th birthday. We were very disappointed with the room.
We booked a room with a view, as stated on their website, instead we have a view of a new block. We asked to be moved as special occasion. They told us nothing until Saturday and additional cost of £250.00.
The duty manager (Robert) called us the next day and said a room with a view was now available and as a treat upgraded us for free as it was my birthday.
Very happy with the room, the view over tower bridge is breathtaking!.
If you are staying over the weekend, on street parking is free but check with the council by calling up the number on parking machines on street.
The location is great. Robert the duty manager very accommodating and generous for not chargeing extra for upgrade.
R. R.
Spent the day here for a conference. Facilities were good. Staff polite and helpful. Break pastries and cakes looked good, gluten free biscuits were ok. Plenty of tasty food for buffet lunch with a number of options. Good venue.
I. B.
Great location and easy to find. Upgraded our room for free so massive thanks to the hotel. Only problem was there was no iron in our room but told reception as we left who said they will put a new one in. Very clean and lovely bathroom facilities. Would go back.
T. B.
This is not a five star hotel as it seems the like to claim. It is however a reasonable four star hotel (it does not seem to have an AA rating) We had a few issues including a shower that did not drain well (limiting the length of a shower to a few minutes), missing light fitting and that on a cold January night the heating control was unable to heat the room sufficiently. The heating actually failed on the second night We only tried the Forum for dinner, we were the only customers there when we arrived although a few others did turn up it was very quiet for a Friday night. The food was OK but nothing amazing and probably not worth the amount being charged. The size of the rooms can not be faulted and the location is good for The City and The Tower but we were left feeling that everything was an optional extra.
S. M.
Lovely hotel, well placed for central London and cheaper than equivalents closer to St Paul's. Room comfy and spacious, nice bed and bath with invigorating shower, free WiFi, tv and desk/sofa. Staff helpful too with fast checkout in morning. Recommended.
A. A.
Very professional hotel. Right in the business district. Great breakfast. Excellent service. Rooms and bathroom good size, very comfortable. Gym and swimming pool at lower level.

Good location hotel with great gym and spa facilities. Food is very good and would rate it at 4 star. The room was tight with a dated look over looking trains in Fenchurch St. Station. Very pricey bar! Staff a little snooty.

Recently attended a Black tie event at this hotel. Host had to request waiter service of which we were given only one waiter, for what was hundreds of people...also could not get certain drinks if not sold in the upstairs bar.... so felt service very poor.
Following checkout we discovered my daughter had lost her wristwatch, as we returned the manager on duty ordered cleaning to be stopped and escorted her back to the room, luckily the watch was found...Thankyou for this excellent service .

Comfortable rooms, shower and pillows were amazing. Staff during the day were very hospitable, however those on the night shift (past midnight) were extremely rude and arrogant. Quality of breakfast was a bit of a let down, and again the customer service in the breakfast room could do with some attention. Not bad, but wouldn't rush to stay there again.

I would not call it a 5* star hotel. Perhaps it used to be. We got a feeling that the owner/general manager lost their passion and levelled down to mediocracy. We had no bathrobes for 2 days and only got them upon asking. Phone was not connected. The issue was resolved upon request. The maid changed the bar of soap every day and I would understand this if the soap or the tray were any special and the reason for change would be overall aesthetics. No. Standard square basic soap. Very simple tray. We left a note to the maid not to change the soap. It was ignored. We did not check the spa or the restaurant of the place, so no comments on those sections. Location is brilliant! walking distance form Tower Bridge, Tower Hill metro station and Furnchurch platform.

Nice and tidy. Cool window's view and close to underground.

Very nice hotel at a reasonable price. Location is excellent with tube stations near by.

I recently stayed at the grange city hotel for a business overnight stay. The hotel is in a nice location just across the road from the london tower. I had to wait a few mins to check in but I feel this was just because it was a busy check in. My room was upgraded for free which was great and the room was huge. It was clean and I had a good sleep. I didn't eat in the restaurant or have breakfast so can't comment on the food.
R.
Decent hotel but has an obscured view and a very warm room. The rooms in the grange st pauls were much nicer than the grange city as it had a 24 hour bar, a top down and verticle shower and bathrobes and a much more modern feel.
K. A.
Fine location but not so fine customer service.

Complimentary upgrade to a huge room. Clean but bathroom fixtures looking tired and in need of replacement. Breakfast was tasty but didn't use the restaurant for any other meals so can't comment on food quality otherwise.

Amazing service beautiful and clean room!

Great hotel and staff are very attentive. Rooms are great. We was in 203 which is a stunning upgrade room. Think they could do with complimentary facilities in rooms I.e drinks and snacks

Nice central location. 20secs from the Tube. Close to other transport links. 2-3 mains walk from eating establishments. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice amenities. Lovely pool, steam and aromatherapy rooms. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel and facilities. Good location. Expensive to drink as all of London is. Only downside was someones old mouldy food left in the minibar which we didn't use!!
C. H.
The staff were great and attentive. The pool and other facilities were also fantastic. O ly marked down sightly due to the bed being too hard and didn't get a great night's sleep.
T. M.
Nice comfortable large room with views of Tower Bridge & the shard perfect 👍
S. G.
Excellent room, very good concierge service. Only minor gripe - although checking in early & as expected room wasn't ready (which was fine and perfectly understandable): when we returned later, we couldn't just collect our key, but had to queue (which was rather long) with everyone checking in - defeating the object.
S. A.
Nice details to the room, beautiful interiors and good quality finishes.
The only thing is that is hard to find even with the maps. Is very near to savage garden on the corner with a coffe shop, 25 meters from the tower bridge metro station
C. M.
This place goes above and beyond. The hotel staff is excellent! The rooms were very nice by any measure. The pool was great as well!
M. K.
Great location with amazing views from the room.

I can only comment on the gym facility and the staff within the hotel.
Always greeted by a guest.
Staff are welcoming
great people
The gym room size is small. weights area is very small.

Just spwnt 2 nights here as it was my 40th birthday. We have been here over 10 timws before ans never had any problems.... and this time it was thw same. Thw reception staff lady was lovely ans attentive - even though her badge said trainee she ceetainly dis.not come over as such. We had arrived 30 min early and the room was not ready... but she told us she disnt want ro allocate another room as the one we had was lovely. That waa finw by us as we went to watch the london marathon for a.few minutes.
On our return to the hotel the receptionist recognised us immediateky and handed us the key.. wishing me a happy birthday. The room was on floor 11 (12 floors in total) and we found rhat they had upgraded us to a club room with a fantastic view of the tower of london and the shard skyline. It was a gorgeous room and a lovely surprise for my birthday.
All in all i cannot day one bad word about the Grange City- the room was immaculate, the bed really comfy, had dressing gowns and slippers, tea/coffee facilities etc. We had paid an additional fee fir an upgrade to full english breakfast and it was definitely worth it - we didn't need to eat anything until the evening.
Thankyou the Grange City for yet another brilliant stay xx

Room was quite big and clean. We slept well and quiet. The breakfast was a minor let down.English breakfast was very meshy. They were out of bread and the yoghurt was gone bad from standing in the heat. The breakfast room wasn't cosy enough .It felt too standard for a five star hotel. The staff were friendly but very cool.
The swimming pool was a nice welcome for relaxing.Overall we had a good stay.It was okay. However I would not rate it a five star hotel. The Japanese restaurant at the hotel was a dissapointement, too expensive and not friendly

We were at the Grange to attend a conference and were not overnight guests at the hotel. The conference room was large and had a great projector and good acoustics. The only issue was the room was too cold, and the food was not as good as other conferences I have been to.

Great hotel. Big spacious room. Breakfast was good. Staff all very friendly and helpful. The pool and spa area were superb. Great location
M. G.
Reasonable hotel but it's definitely not a 5 star, we were 'upgraded' to a better room on arrival but it was next to the lift and you heard it constantly so we asked to move to a room further away from the lift (downgraded again to the normal room) and had a decent night's sleep. Location is great as it is next to tower hill tube station 15 mins walk ish away from the shard.
A. S.
Had best times ever! Obviously, the location is great. Thank you staff, you are absolutely platinum standard!

Had a pleasant stay here. However, the rooms require a serious refurbishment to modernise them. The light switches are scattered over the room making it a chore to turn them off before bed. The blinds take an age to roll down/up and leaves a gap between them which disturbs sleep in the morning. The aircon is quite noisy and not very powerful. We were feeling quite warm even on its coldest setting. The location of the plug sockets are inconvenient far from the beds.
I recently stayed at the Tower Hill branch which has very modern rooms. It's what you expect of a 5 star hotel.
We stayed in one of the suites but the lounge area was strange as it had a couch and lots of cupboards but nothing else. There's no reason you'd sit in there. You'd expect a TV in there to watch from the couch but there is only a TV in the sleeping area.
Having said that, the service and cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms was exceptional. The beds very comfy. The spa too is exceptional. Location is very good just a minutes walk from tower Hill Station. A few mins from tower gateway station, Fenchurch station or aldgate station. 10 min from Bank station.
Would I stay here again? Probably not as I'd much rather stay in the nearby tower bridge Grange Hotel.
J. T.
Room, location and facilities including spar were excellent, unfortunately due to location of room near to sqeaky lift, woken many times during the night. Think it could do with some maintenance.
C. O.
Definitely a lovely place to stay in London. The quiet swimming pool is a plus. View are jus wow -> ask for a city view room, nothing compared to « tube » view (and noise).
C. S.
Stayed for two nights. The staff welcoming you are very friendly and helpful. The staff in reception less so. No info about for example breakfast or the facilities at check in. The rooms are clean and tidy. Though my iphone charged only 60% during the whole night! No plugs by the bed so you will have to walk to the desk to check your phone. Room needs an upgrade - looks as if stuck in the 80s. Only 1 min away from Tower Hill station. Despite it being next to fencurch street station, the trains and announcements were not a nuisance. There is a newspaper every morning outside your stood, but on the floor - why not hang it on the door in a bag? Also slippers and robe missing.
Post stay I needed a copy of my receipt and it took +12h for someone in reception to reply - only to tell me they could not find my booking with my booking reference or name...
Will I be back? Not in a hurry.

Weekend break. Very friendly staff. Clean well appointed room. Excellent location beside train station. Close to London Tower Bridge, London eye and Westminster etc. Lots of choice in local area for eating out too.

Enjoyed staying at Leonardo Royal London City Hotel. Stayed at this hotel twice. Comfortable, homey & cosy. Good sleep like log. Goid meal. Will come back again, definitely. More than 8 stars!
A. W.
It's very dated, if you like that sort of older feeling hotel then you will like this place. The spa isnt exactly what i would call 5* but its better than nothing. Other than that, it is very well located and near to several amenities and entertainment
E. K.
Excellent staff all around. Vishant is superb and helped locate a lost passenger. Superior service. Constantin is very attentive to guest's needs and goes above and beyond. Thank you. Much Appreciated.

Have stayed before and at the hotel at St Pauls. Friendly reception. Had early check in. Amazing location for the Tower. Good sized rooms. Kettle in room. Great bathroom.
A. R.
On this visit I discovered there was a whole other side to the hotel with its own lift and everything. The view from the window seemed to be into a multistorey car park, which wasn't as entertaining as you might think. The television was well proportioned, the bathroom compact but functional. A light went on in the wardrobe when the door was opened. The ironing board lacked padding. I could hear the sound of the underground trains. You know it felt like distant thunder.
J. U.
Perfect location for sites near Tower Bridge. Train station just down the street. Very friendly staff. Our room had a great peekaboo view of the Chard and Tower Castle.
V. S.
Great room and facilities, less trained staff, bad systems. My room showed as available in the system and people were alloted the same room thrice. Had someone walk in at 5:45 in the morning
R. S.
Aircon wasn't working properly in our room on an extremely hot day. Duty manager upgraded us to a penthouse suite free of charge, with spectacular views of the Tower of London. Thanks for the fantastic service.
J. M.
For a five star business hotel I think the Grange City is lacking. I had issues with the AC not working and had to badger the staff to get it fixed or move me to another room. The "instant" coffee available in the room is abysmal especially in light of in-room nespresso machines available in many hotels these days. Additionally, accessing the Internet through the hotel's wifi was spotty at best. As a business guest, consistent internet access is essential. On the positive, the gym is good as far as hotel gyms generally go. Continental breakfast is served complimentary daily and is well stocked with cereals, meats, cheeses, fruit, breads and yogurt. A full hot English breakfast is also available for a few £ more. For the most part the staff is polite and helpful.
A. B.
Well located hotel close to tower and sites. Room was really nice with a very large balcony with views of shard etc. Would definitely stay again
J. B.
Attended a conference, organized in this hotel. The hotel is dated and needs to be renovated. Slept here for 3 nights. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
G. K.
What can I say - thank you so much for making our stay extra special! 5 star service all round. Loved our huge room. We are already planning our next trip!
J. B.
A nice hotel very close to Tower Bridge tube station and a stone's throw from The Tower of London.
Had a drink in the bar, friendly staff, decent prices considering it is a London hotel.
Would recommend it to others.
M. K.
Very nice staff. I could ask whatever I like and they had the info to help me. Our room was very clean En nice. The bed was just too lovely.
C. D.
One of the best hotel in the central London. 10 minutes walk to the bank station. Easy access to DLR and River boat. Staff very helpful. Always smiling. Highly recommended.
S. K.
Not five star as suggested rooms are very dated as well in dire need of an upgrade. Comfortable stay though nonetheless. Breakfast in a massive canteen room felt like a cheap all you can eat establishment not a ***** hotel
R. C.
2nd stay at the Grange with work. My first stay was not recommended, I felt like I was on the platform at fenchurch at station I was that close, so I complained. Staff very friendly, acommodating and upgraded me. View of the tower of London, 11th floor, perfect room and great facilities. Room service exceptional too, food lovely
