Reviews of London Visitors Hotel
Very cozy, magical atmosphere. Staff is very helpful and polite. Room was clean and comfortable. They play classical music all day long and the lounge where tea is served is very charming. Great location, right by the Olympia station with access to the Circle line and also easily accessible by bus. Highly recommended.
The hotel was fine, clean, and centrally located. The manager was very unfriendly, arrogant, and unpleasant when we arrived at the hotel on the first day. The rest of the staff were fine. The breakfast was average, with no fruit and terrible coffee.
We stayed in the private studio, new, the space is small but with everything you need, the hotel staff is very helpful, the neighborhood is very nice, the metro is 10 minutes walk. I will come back again.
Thank you !!!!
Nice place a stone's throw from the overground line (be careful, trains run every 15 minutes or so). Very good level of cleanliness. Room a little small with light curtains and no shutters (in the morning after sunrise a lot of natural light comes in). Breakfast a little sparse but acceptable
(Translated) It's not a luxury hotel or anything like that, but it's great to spend a few days in London. it is well located since next to it there is a main street that has a bit of everything, there are supermarkets nearby and several restaurants in the area on the right, (there is some Persian that is highly recommended). The hotel is very close to the metro and worth it. The breakfast is not very complete but it is passable hehe, for the price you pay you can not ask for everything. The receptionist was very friendly and knew Spanish which is appreciated for people who do not know English very well. She can recommend sites. As for the room it was not very big but there was just enough and necessary with your TV, your sink, shampoo, soap towels and a small closet. In general very well, I liked it. How unique I would say that there is no elevator to take into account if you carry a lot of luggage (it was not my case). The hotel is not very modern.

A lovely hotel, very central to everything. The room was very clean. It was a nice touch to arrive in the evening and find the fireplace lit in the lounge, with coffee and tea ready to serve. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!
Update June 2019:
Our second stay, this time in a larger room (No. 4). Unfortunately, there's less choice at breakfast, but you can stock up on yogurt and sausage at the nearby Lidl in Shepherd's Bush, and the hotel staff keeps the groceries in the hotel's refrigerator. The location is still the best, 30 minutes from the main attractions.
2017:
Cute Victorian-style hotel.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Good and plentiful breakfast selection.
Room clean and modern (universal power outlet with USB), albeit a bit small (bathroom, bed, no wardrobe).
Location: Good public transport connections. On weekends, there's also a direct subway service from Kensington Olympia. Otherwise, there are several bus stops within 300 meters. Depending on traffic, it's about 30 minutes to the main attractions.
Highlights: English-style lounge on the ground floor, complimentary afternoon tea or coffee from around 5 p.m.
Note: There is a second building about 50 meters away.
Recommendation: Choose a room facing the rear.
Very quaint and quiet. There's no elevator, so I don't think it's suitable for elderly people or those with babies. The breakfast is full, although there are no gluten-free options.
Hotel is a bit old fashioned, but certainly full of atmosphere. Is close to several metro stations and has a great bed and bathroom. Breakfast is varied, music in the reception is a bit intense.
Great hotel, wonderful hosts, a relaxation room with a fireplace and toys for the children. Clean and large rooms. Very small bathroom... I highly recommend it+++++
We really enjoyed the stay at the London Visitors Hotel.
Even though we booked a basic twin room with shared bathroom, they upgraded us to a nicer room ensuite.
The hotel was one of the cleanest I've seen and it was warm and cozy.
The rooms decoration are not the best but the cleanliness and the size of them make forget this fact.
The breakfast is good. There is not a huge variety of food but it is enough for a breakfast and the croissants are very decent! It is located 20 minutes walking time to Notting Hill and Kensington Gardens.
The underground station of Kensington Olympia and for trains to Gatwick is just one minute walking time.
If you need to use hairdryer, they will let you one for free.
The staff could be a little bit nicer.
We really enjoyed our stay at London Visitors Hotel. Although we had booked a basic room with two beds and a shared bathroom, we were upgraded to a room with two double beds and a bathroom.
It's one of the cleanest hotels I've ever seen, and it's also fully air-conditioned, so we found it cozy. The room decor isn't anything special, but it's forgotten given the clean and spacious rooms.
The breakfast is quite good. There isn't a huge variety of food, but it's perfect for breakfast. The croissants are also quite decent.
The hotel is right next to Kensington Olympia tube station, which is also where you catch trains to Gatwick (via Clapham Junction). It's a 20-minute walk from Notting Hill and Kensington Gardens.
A note: if you need to use a hairdryer, they provide one for free.
For a low fare hotel it's well runned. If you don't mind the steep stairs, the creaky and not really flat floors and the little rooms you will find great value for your money and a good access to bus and metro for the city centre. It's regularly cleaned and the staff is very accommodating.
Excellent cleanliness of the rooms. Good location to reach by metro or bus. We took a studio with breakfast in the hotel which allowed us to be independent but at the same time advised by the very helpful staff.
Friendly hotel!
Warm welcome, well-appointed room.
Comprehensive breakfast, always topped up with croissants and waffles...
Quiet
We weren't disappointed!
We stayed 3 nights in March at the London Visitors hotel in a triple room with a double bed and a single bed (we were 3 kids), perfect welcome, no problem with the language, very available to give information on the metro and buses, unlimited wi-fi with an extra £5, clean and comfortable rooms, clean linen every day, excellent breakfast (finding Nutella is something sensational), very "English" the relaxation room, very well connected to the center (not too far) with the bus stop Kensington Olympia (weekends only), bus every 7/10 minutes even at night. As soon as I return to London the first thing will be to immediately book a room here.
Cozy, well located. I was in a studio very close to the main building and the stay was one to repeat.
To put a but, the breakfast with little variety.
Nice hotel if you can get used to shared bathroom and small rooms. The neighborhood is quiet and well served by DLR and tube.
Excellent location, clean hotel, friendly staff, international but unpretentious breakfast, perfect for getting around London for the convenience of the tube 100 meters away.
Very nice hotel in a good central location near the Olympia S-Bahn station and a bus stop right outside. Clean rooms and friendly staff – highly recommended.
I am really liking the hotel, it is clean, quiet, they are friendly, the rooms and bathrooms are small but for the time we spent here, they are fine. If I come back, I will come back here
Small rooms but very affordable prices. Nice service, good location and the atmosphere of an old London tenement house. What more could you want?
Pros:
- Very clean hotel
- Well located
- Very good breakfast for a 2-star hotel
- Good welcome
- Warm and welcoming place
Cons:
- Insufficient soundproofing in the rooms (sometimes you feel like your neighbors are talking in your own room)
- Bed creaks with the slightest movement
- No elevator
- Old hotel (but still charming)
If I could give it a rating, it would be 7/10
Room had an awesome mezzanine level bed! Decent bathroom, mini kitchen and fridge, clean. Good for the price. Close to buses and an overground, but not any particularly convenient tube stations.
Good location near the metro and bus. Excellent breakfast. The room was very small, but overall good service.
Great place in a good area. The room is small but has all the amenities.
The staff was very friendly, the location was excellent, the place was pleasant and cozy, although the rooms could be improved, the wooden floor creaks and the lighting was poor... otherwise the experience was positive.
Small hotel, but with very friendly staff, close to the station and you can get around on foot, breakfast is limited and some rooms are small, but for a few days in London, perfect.
Good location. Clean, comfortable beds. Helpful staff. The only downside is that the breakfasts are tasty but the same every day😀
Very cozy apartment hotel.
Abundant breakfast of coffee, sweets and sausages.
Couldn't be cleaner
Good breakfast, could be more choice. Great accommodation for good money, close to Hyde Park, friendly staff
(Translated) Very cute, clean and the staff is friendly. Great location and excellent value for money.

Molto carino, pulito e il personale è gentile. Ottima posizione e ottima rapporto qualità prezzo.
Perfect location!!! Very good depending on the charge (location, breakfast, daily cleaning) polite and friendly staff, I highly recommend it!!! If there was an elevator it would be perfect.
Good hotel to spend a few days in London. It is not very central but it has metro and bus stops nearby. Good breakfasts.
My friend and I had a great experience here! We booked a studio which isn't the main hotel but just a couple of buildings over. It had a double bed and then a loft area with another double bed (directly on the floor). While the space was compact, the loft really opened it up more and it had a kitchen sink, microwave, a few dishes, etc. Leaving the windows open made it cool enough to sleep in early September. It's a short walk to the Overground and about a 15 minute walk to get to the Underground on the Central, Picadilly, or District lines. It also came with free wifi and free breakfast!

Very good and clean hotel, there are bus and metro stops next to it. The photos are of a room (studio) which has an internal toilet and not a shared one. The hotel is housed in 2 buildings with a close distance between them.
Small rooms and very small bathroom. Cheap hotel with breakfast included.
Charming, clean and fresh. Our room was very quiet. The rooms are quite small. Nice staff.

It was nice experience, rates were affordable as well. Kensington High Street Station is at 10 mins walk from there you can go to any place of your choice. In surrounding you will find good restaurants. However for improvement atleast kitchen facility should be available for guests with fridge and microwave. Staff was helpful and courteous.

Doesn't have AC which is not a problem usually in London. The shower head had a very weak flow which made bathing a bit hard. Doesn't have a mini fridge. On the other hand it was cheap, the staff were helpful and it was cozy.

Hotel correctisimo.
The room was ok. The bathroom had everything we needed. The room was a bit little but it was big enough though we only went there to sleep. We had a tablee, a huge mirror and some comfortable chairs. The breakfast was very good. They had croissants, bread, cupcakes, hot coffee, juice, tea, bread toasters, cheese, salami, ham, a lot of things...
I couldn't have asked for a better hotel. Everything was beautiful and perfect. Breakfast was fresh and the rooms were clean. Easy to commute from the bus underground and overground trains
Nice and cozy. Budget friendly. Staff were kind and polite. Borrowed an umbrella on a rainy day from the front desk and they were happy to help.
Great, affordable accommodations in a nice area. The genuinely friendly staff worked hard to make our stay comfortable. We booked a small room with a shared bathroom, which I was dreading, but it was just fine. The bathrooms were always spotless, and each shower and toilet is in its own lockable room, so actually quite private. They served a nice breakfast every morning and tea by the fire when we returned in the evening.
Fine place to stay for a few days. Good placement close to public transportation. The hotel has fast WiFi. Friendly staff.
Nice big room and very clean. Not the most modern hotel ive stayed in but perfectly good for the price. 10 mins from nearest tube. Breakfast was continental. Coffee was stewed both mornings i was there.
Very nice hotel with great services. The hotel looks amazing, old style, very clean and with many details taking you back couple of tens of years. There is a nice breakfast included. The staff and services are impecable.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms. But it's on the busy road. On the other hand it's very cheap! So you have to find it out. The breakfasts are bombshell.
Nice crepes and the best cappuccino
Very welcoming and friendly and like no other. Very unique place. Breakfast is simple and comforting. Good value for money and more.
Great room for the price, when we arrived lady was very friendly, nice and simple to check in. Room was spacious, had good pressure shower and balcony also
It is really good experience for staying at London visitors hotel and if I come back to London I will prefer lto stay here again. Awesome room, their services, neat and clean room and professional attitude of their staff everything was quite good in this hotel.
Very nice hotel, clean and tidy. Personnel is very kind and flexible. I also enjoyed a lot its interior style.
A lovely place for the price and greattt location, especially for Olympia exhibition centre. Other than that, some shared bathrooms are tiny, but as expected around such a prime location.
The rooms are a little bit small and very old looking. Al thought it was very small, it was very clean.
The breakfast was not very nice (only croissant, loaf bread, egg and cheese, no "meat" at all).
For the price I thought it was good! 3 nights costed less than 2 nights in all the other hotels.
The location is also ok, there is a bus stop 5minutes walking distance and in 25min bus you're at the center.
small room but nice, breakfast ok, good location with underground connection
Great neighbourhood, close to the tube and to parks, the staff is sweet and friendly, the breakfast was okay and the rooms were comfortable and big.
Charming hotel, close to transportation, clean rooms, helpful staff. Breakfast was a bit on the sugary side, but not bad.
Very comvenient reception. Very good breakfast. Situated in a nice street. Room was a bit small.
Very cosy Victorian hotel. Extremely friendly and warm staff. Perfect location in the best residential district in London
Nice hotel, nice staff, near public transport. Very pleasant prices!
Summary: rooms very clean, staff very friendly and helpful :-)
Detailed review to follow...
Small but cozy room, friendly staff, decent breakfast
Good place, easy to walk anywhere, small bathroom, average breakfast.
Nice place for the price a little shabby would suggest they do fix the peeling the wallpaper
Very clean, nice style. It has a small very handy kitchenette with microwave cooker. The beds are very comfortable, great mattresses and nice fresh sheets and towels. Good shower and toilet. I like the fact that it's almost like two bedrooms as the upstairs space feels big and private. Perfect for what it is. Little bit far from tube.
Very affordable, cute little rooms, tasty breakfast, an authentic London experience.
Great price, not a central location but with easy access to public transportation
Nice Place, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast
small but lovely, very clean. people there are very nice.
Tiny room but great location, great price, and amazing staff
Would definitely recommend. If only for a few details, it would be a certain 5*
Classic, cozy and beautifully decorated, with convenient transport nearby.
Very clean and quiet! helpful staff!
Great location, nice staff, good value of money.
Loved it when I stayed there in 2018
Comfortable, clean, nice room, with a double bed for single use. Small restroom but still quite comfortable. It's quiet and in a really nice neighborhood. The room was spacy for a single, and the cost of the stay was quite a bargain. Probably the best hotel I stayed in in London. Only small issue is that is about a kilometer and half from the closest tube station, but there are plenty of buses. Breakfast included.
Cheap place to stay in London. Had problems with the WIFI though
Nice location, clean and cosy hotel
Great location, excellent customer service.
Great value for the location and price.
Nice place to stay a couple of days!!
Fresh rooms but really small
My favourite place to be.
Fresh rooms but really small
Nice location, clean and cosy hotel
Very very clean and quiet!
Quite an old hotel. Looks a little like a hostel. You have to share the toilet and showers with other rooms. Free breakfast which is really nice. Although the rooms are a bit dated, it's an okay place to stay, not very noisy. Stayed with two young kids (nearly 3 and nearly 6 years old) but the room and the hotel were fine for us. In the day we were out a lot and in the evening the kids went to bed early, but there was no noise from the other guest, so that was great!
Definitely worth a stay
Lovely place to stay with the family
Everything was just perfect.
This hotel is very good
B&B, clean and good for the price.
There is no lift.
My favourite place to be.
Everything was just perfect.
Very nice!
Super
Cute and cozy hotel in a perfect location with small but clean rooms that come with working heaters. Breakfast is alright as a basic start when you crave something straight after getting up. A little fruits or something wouldn‘t hurt though. Plus take your earplugs - walls a very thin so you hear can your neighbours steps.
Good
Linen delivery.

Stayed for 4 nights on holiday. Hotel is small but cozy. Room was cramped (but it was cheap!), and the bed was fairly comfortable. The shower leaked, but room service cleaned up the towels we used to stop it and gave us new towels every day. There was a tv in the room, which we weren't expecting. The free breakfast was surprisingly good for a 2 star hotel. Bus stops are right down the street, so it was easy to get around. Overall, for the price, it was a perfect place to sleep at the end of the day.

Excellent hotel, very kind in our case they included: the bathroom in the room, cleaning every day, breakfast and on the last day we left our suitcases and then took them back, it is well connected just take the C1 or 49 to get to the central line or Victoria station. The area is very quiet this is the view from the room.
Hotel located five minutes from Kensington Olympia station (through which the Overground and National Rail passes) and close to many bus stops, therefore well connected to the centre. Very clean and, despite being a fairly dated structure, everything works perfectly. The furniture recalls the Victorian period, very elegant. Being a two star hotel, obviously the rooms are small and the bathroom is shared with the landing, but the cleanliness is impeccable and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. Furthermore, in the wonderful common room with leather armchairs and fireplace you will always find tea and coffee after five. Absolutely recommended.
The hotel is relatively centrally located. Since it's a cheap hotel, you really shouldn't expect much. The breakfast is modest, with toast, croissants, boiled eggs, jam, cheese, and hazelnut spread, tea and coffee, milk, and cornflakes.
Our room was on the upper floor, with a shower and toilet, and it was very clean.
Unfortunately, our room smelled; we had the window open day and night, but it didn't help.
The staff is very friendly.
I stayed at this hotel last week and I can only recommend it.
It is very easy to get to (from Heathrow get off the train at Hammersmith (£1.50) and take bus 10, getting off at Kensington Olympia Station), Holland Road is the street on the corner with Universal Music and the hotel is at the first intersection.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable, the room was large and they even gave us an extra bed (we had requested a double and they gave us an extra bed in addition to the double - which was slightly smaller, however).
The bathroom is not very big, but at least the toilet is not built into a corner. Obviously there is no bidet.
On the downside, I would point out that the shower, which is fairly large, has a step that separates it from the floor, making it a bit risky to get out of it with a wet floor.
Furthermore, the week was a bit windy, and there were a lot of drafts in the room despite the double curtains being closed.
The breakfast, although not abundant, is still well stocked and varied.
The staff is very friendly and available to provide information to move towards the tourist destinations of the city.
My girlfriend and I preferred to do the Oyster to move around the city without problems (with Travelcard Zone 1-2, £30 for a week) which overall is excellent if you intend to travel a lot. To move around I recommend taking the 10 bus in front of Universal Music and getting off at the High Street Kensington stop where the tube leaves and you will be able to reach a bit of everything.
In the area there is a bit of everything, from shopping to food with various chains, so if you want to stay near the hotel you are not isolated from the world.
A nice, intimate place with an atmosphere. Nice service. Even on the first day we met a lady from Poland at the reception 😀 so there was no problem with anything. Hotel in a side street close to the main Kensington High Street. There are bus stops nearby, from where you can easily reach the metro station. Right next to the hotel there is a grocery store and a very nice pub where you can eat and drink not only good coffee but also beer and stronger drinks.
I give 4 stars for the cleanliness, the quietness and the courtesy of the staff. The hotel is located a little outside the center but is very well served by public transport (buses and metro which are always very efficient in England).
We stayed in the house adjacent to the hotel. The room (studio 8) even if small was very practical and with spaces organized very well for four people.
I have been coming to London for a few years and this hotel was a good choice that I would recommend.
The only flaw is the breakfast... but you can be satisfied.
The staff are friendly! Towels are changed every day and cleaned frequently. Breakfast is ordinary, but always at a consistent standard! The croissants are really delicious! The problem is that there are no toilets and shower facilities on each floor, which is a bit inconvenient! Other than that problem, everything is good!
Small but well-sized 2-star hotel. Located in a quiet area at night. We booked a quadruple room for three people to be more comfortable. The bathroom was just right for a person of normal build. The breakfast was varied, continental (croissants, waffles, pancakes, jams, cornflakes, cereals with fruit juice, milk, coffee and tea.... hard-boiled eggs, cooked ham, salami, cheese, butter, with rolls and sandwiches).
Excellent value for money
I stayed with my mother, my daughter, my sister, my sister-in-law and my niece, we had 2 rooms, a quadruple and a double...well we had a great time.
Excellent cleanliness and welcome...the metro is 3 minutes away and the bus stop is on the sidewalk in front!!! I recommend it!!
Good place to stay for a couple of days. It's like been at home. Good service and everything is really cleaned. Breakfast is good but not so much variet. There's no lift/elevator so you have to go up and down stairs if you are in the higher levels to go the bathroom (not all the rooms have private bathroom). Everything is fine. Recommended.
We booked a double room with a private bathroom for 7 days, beginning of June.
The room was small but very clean, and it was serviced daily. It faced the street, and there's a pub one door down, but we didn't find it loud. The noise level is about that of a small town: an ambulance here, a motorcycle there, and the occasional partying crowd.
The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was simple and delicious. There's even a small supermarket and the aforementioned pub around the corner. Bus stops and the subway are nearby, but you should allow about 30 minutes for the main stations like Victoria, etc.
Very cozy and comfortable. Very small room, little space to hang clothes and excessively small bathroom. Good state of cleanliness and amenities.
Living room with fireplace, board games and 24-hour coffee/tea.
The staff at both reception and dining room were very attentive, pleasant and helpful.
Good connection with bus lines C1, 9 and 23 with the center or with the red line of the Metro which has a stop 15 minutes away.
Highly recommended.
We booked a studio, and it was very nice. Very clean. Bus stops very close. The bathroom was a bit small, but otherwise great. There's no elevator. Breakfast is continental; there's no fruit, nor tomato or lactose-free milk.
Very clean, nice room, friendly reception, and a good price for a hotel in London. Only the rooms facing the street are incredibly noisy; you can't leave the window open or you'll lose sleep. At 30°C in London, it's unbearable without air conditioning...
(Translated) The room was small, as was the bathroom, but you have to take into account that the hotel is 2 stars and that it is a bit old and it is Europe; most of the rooms there are small unless it is a very luxurious hotel. There is NO elevator.
Our stay was very good at the hotel and its staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is free and even though there isn't much choice, not many hotels do, so it's very good.
The only bad thing was that one night we heard a lot of noise in the room above, the wood creaked a lot and footsteps could be heard, but we suppose it was someone who was checking out quite early (it was approximately 4am). In our room you could hear the cars on the street a lot, but nothing not bearable.
(Original)
Very nice hotel, friendly and really helpful staff. Every day change of towels and cleaning of the room. Delightful room, in a very London hotel, international breakfast, plentiful and satisfying, the only flaw is not finding coffee, obviously I'm talking about real espresso coffee, but you can easily do without it given the many positive aspects.
It's not a five-star hotel, but that was clear when booking. Good value for money (very affordable). The receptionist was very friendly. It was perfect for us, as we were out and about all day anyway. 🇬🇧. That's why we give it an overall rating of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The building is a bit older, so there are some creaking steps. It's just right for England and London 😎. Beds and linens are clean. Fresh hand and bath towels every day. Toilets and showers are always clean. Unfortunately, there are holidaymakers everywhere who leave their mess lying around 😕.
Breakfast with a good and plentiful selection 😋
By the way, if you're a light sleeper, you might not like the street noise. Have a nice 🇬🇧 holiday💪🏻😎👍🏻
The hotel and rooms themselves are really very clean, only the breakfast room is extremely narrow and you have to be lucky if you can sit together at the table as a family. Breakfast selection is also average, no fruit!
Nevertheless, I can highly recommend the hotel... Top price/performance!!!
Very nice, but it was always very warm upstairs, we didn't have a toilet brush for the first two days and we only had two chairs instead of six. I still think it would be very nice. It's definitely worth it.
Very happy to have found this small hotel in a quiet area and not far from Earl's Court tube station. Clean room and spotless bathroom. Impeccable daily room service, simple but good breakfast in a very charming room. Well-appointed British rest room with Chesterfield and warm fireplace. Ideal for drinking tea after returning from a visit. In short, I think I'll come back there on my next visit. Enjoy!

Great stay in London if you don't need something unnecessarily luxurious. The rooms and bathrooms are small, there's no elevator. Everything is extremely clean and comfortable. Staff are very friendly. Place is very close to the subway. Wifi is one of the best I ever seen. Shower is good.
