Reviews of The Chelsea Townhouse
Lovely hotel with great staff in a fabulous location. Very comfortable and classically English
The complimentary glass of champagne in the drawing room every evening is a particularly nice touch. We found the rooms to be clean. I cannot say enough good things about the team here. Great choice of food very close by. Easy access to Hyde Park where we went for a morning jog.
The location is the best for someone who wants to be in paradise. Rooms are of generous size and comfortably furnished. The staff at this hotel could not have been more helpful and friendly. The rates were awesome for the families. Perfect if you are visiting that corner of London.
Great hotel! Great location near Sloane Square (right by it, a blocks walk) where you have the subway station, many bus options and some great stores.
Staff was perfect and so acomodating!
My room was very good and clean. I loved te decoration and thought into every little detail.
Do not miss in the PM: tea at four, champagne at six and hot chocolate at nine :)
Quintessentially english. Charming hotel lovely helpful staff. Loved my room. The bed was so comfy, had the best nights sleep. Will certainly stay here again.
Great little hotel conveniently located on a backstreet in Chelsea. Hotel is very close to public transport. The employees can not be beat any where else. The price we got was surprisingly great for the season. We found the experience to be thoroughly enjoyable from the time we set foot in the hotel till we left.
I was surprised to offer so much at fairly very decent prices. The staff are a delight no matter what time of day or night it is and will fast become your friends. The naming of the rooms from theatrical persons of 19th and 20th century UkKwas a quaint and interesting change from numbered rooms.
We are having our last night at the Draycott tonight and what a wonderfull surprise. Perfect location outside of the traffic yet close enough to everything that matters in London. Comfortable rooms and very friendly and helpfull staff with great little restaurants scattered around the hotel. The Village Ridge Boutique Hotel in Pretoria, South Africa is a similar niche luxury stay. With such nice offerings, the branded chains are sure to lose some regular business!
Traditional and comfortable hotel. Interior are decorated with a lot of antiques. There is nice restaurant and you can eat snack or drink in the library or the garden.
Had a nice stay here. Staff very receptive and rooms very clean however bed was a tad small and the room fridge didnt work
What a wonderful hotel! Every detail here is precious and I could not be more pleased with starting my honeymoon here. The staff are helpful, kind, and patient (my wife and I were not the most put together after our ten hour flight), and the little touches they've given are truly special. Not to mention that the public rooms are cozy, and food is nice, and who can complain about a free glass of champagne every evening? The tea and cocoa are sweet freebies, too. What a gem of a find!
Very nice stay in a cosy, homely environment. Excellent staff and good service. Would stay again.
Best hotel in London. Friendly staff, ready to please but not obtrusive. Many details done right.
Maybe the best Hotel in London. Incredible friendly Staff and a cosy atmosphere. A real Home, away from Home.
Traditional hotel with amazing rooms and service. I would recommend to colleagues, family and friends.
Beautiful hotel, very well located and the service is very good!

We had an excellent stay and would definitely stay again.
Amazing owners, friendly staff, beautiful area of London, old charm
Great to be able to stay in this lovely town house. Business trip during COVID closure else where. Felt very welcome and enjoyed walking around London whilst it's so quiet
Stunning old fashioned real English country hotel.
I liked this hotel especially my room!
Great service from start to finish and brilliant food

Excellent hotel . Like being at home
Great old fashioned English hotel
Old, stuffy and tiny tiny beds.
I agree
Quaint & cosy with a great location
Good, nothing special
Nice hotel.
Impressed in so many ways with this hotel! Not only was it in a cute part of London with shops and restaurants all around, it was also close to the Tube. I felt I was in some Victorian movie with the eloquent room, ample space inside (hard to find in EU), and helpful, friendly staff. We even went down for champagne hour and met some lovely guests from other parts of the world and had a wonderful chat. Can't wait to stay at this hotel again when I am in London.
Excellent
Great service
Nice place
An amazing boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Each room is unique and comfortable. Each room has a writing desk, hotel essentials, a guestbook for guest messages, and a US power outlet (120V). The wifi was fast. Towels, toiletries, and other amenities were nice and comfortable.
A very nice, cozy boutique hotel with very friendly staff, a central location in the heart of Chelsea, excellent public transport connections (including Sloane Square tube station), and a wide range of retail and dining options in the immediate vicinity (including a grocery store and bakery around the corner). We had a large, comfortable room, furnished with attention to detail in English style. The cleanliness was also top-notch. In our opinion, it also offered excellent value for money (by London standards).
Very British... That best describes the Draycott in my opinion. I experienced very friendly and competent service. My room was very special, see picture. The bathroom was clean and impeccable. One star deducted for the carpet in the room and for the constant noise from the air conditioning units below the window.
Beautiful hotel in one of the most beautiful and quiet neighborhoods of London, large and very welcoming rooms with typical English furnishings, like feeling at home, in the afternoon from 4pm to 5pm tea is offered, afterwards a glass of champagne is offered and in the evening you can enjoy a delicious hot chocolate, a pick-me-up after a day of walking, highly recommended
We loved the quaintness and the amazing staff at the Draycott. We live in Surrey and have lived in London before and know the town very well. We decided to stay in Chelsea as we are looking to move back town in Chelsea and thought a new experience at a boutique hotel would be a nice change from larger hotels like the Mandarin etc... We had an issue the first night because the heat was not working in our room when I checked in during the afternoon. Unfortunately the technician was gone for the day. The only complaint is that everyone somewhat avoided my request to change rooms and never addressed that query. A couple of different people came up to tell me it was in fact cold in the room and did not seem to be working However, they did come up with space heaters to our suite. The following day our heat was fixed and the room was warm. The staff are VERY friendly and welcoming. They try to make the hotel fell like a home which it very much did. There are definitely renovations happening and I can see where they are needed. One thing I will note is this........ they have an area where all of these travel guides and cards are displayed. I would advise to not have these displayed as they do make things seem a bit on the tacky side. Having these discretely put in the back office and available for tourists looking to explore is far more appealing. We shall definitely try staying here again as we house hunt.
Small hotel with a very pleasant atmosphere, in the most chic area of the Chelsea neighborhood. It is a hotel where you can experience classic English taste
チェックイン時の対応が、とてもスムーズでよかった。立地条件は申し分ありませんでした。とても居心地が良かったです。
スタッフは親切に対応してくれます。全体では思ったより居心地がいいです。ロケーションが最高。次も利用しようと思います。
Wonderful. Very attentive staff. Extremely clean and very calm to rest.
Very pleasant, charming hotel with a very warm atmosphere and attentive staff.
Expensive and no discounts. A 30% discount would be much more reasonable, but it's still expensive.
A gem. Great location, great staff and beautiful...
Exquisite, welcoming, comfortable and well located
Excellent site.

Lovely small old fashioned hotel, full of authenticity and soul. Excellent service and attentive staff. Comfortable bed and beautifully renovated bathroom. Super location in quiet street near Sloane Square. What a pleasure reading the paper by the chimeny looking at the garden... I did not want to leave!
My husband and I visited the Draycott yesterday for afternoon tea and I would like to offer a rather mixed review about this. The drawing room where it was served was lovely, the gentleman attending to us was fab and the food was lovely and very generous however the drawing room leads onto a garden and there was some rather large issue with a family staying there that made our visit really uncomfortable and stressful. The woman kept running in and out slamming doors and shouting and the it child was doing the same and kept coming to our table and staring at is. It was quite cold and as the room is small it was very disruptive and noisy and the relaxing ambience of afternoon tea was ruined by this. The staff didnt do anything either until we complained and it was too late. It's a shame as it's a lovely place to visit but it was tainted by this family's behaviour.
A brief visit to London was made all the more enjoyable by the reception, staff and accommodation at the Draycott. Spacious bedrooms, private garden access from the ground floor suite, excellent room served breakfast, decently stocked honesty bar, pleasant and charming staff. Good price for well positioned and well appointed accommodation, ideal for enjoying London, Chelsea and knightsbridge, etc. They took special effort to care for my mother who travelled with me, much appreciated. Having stayed in various hotels across Europe, this was a very pleasant experience in London.
We always had transport willingly available to us from the resort. Very pleasant staff. I thought the hotel as a whole was incredibly clean. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the hotel staff. Concierge advice was spot on. Breakfast was quite good. We are looking forward to going back.
