Lovely little place with a wonderful staff. The room was very clean, except for a bit of dust above the headboard. The bathroom is updated and very nice. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for being central in London. You are a two minute walk to a tube station and surrounded by good restaurants and stores.

What a find! Where can you get such good accommodation in west London at this price? Okay so the decor could do with a refresh and you need to be fit if your room is on the top floor but you will not be disappointed when you reach your room and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended

The hotel staff were friendly and polite. We always found someone manning reception when we wanted assistance. The prices were excellent for such central location which was only 200 m from the tube station. Our room needed updating as it was quite old fashioned but everything we needed was there. A handy spot for a short stay.

What a nice and comfortable place this is ! When my kids were almost grown-up, I slightly broken my neck and felt like visiting the UK . I knew this hotel occasionally and stayed with much satisfaction. Since the visit , I have been to the UK four times. But I always book a room of this hotel before buying a ticket to Heathrow. The staffs are very very warm.

I stayed there 2 nights and I found the service pretty good and the room quite clean, a bit tiny though. Breakfast is ok and the reception service closes around 11:30 pm so they leave you the keys of the main door. It's really close to Earls Court Underground Station so it's pretty easy to get anywhere from there.

Charming hotel! Clean and interesting architect and decor. ONLY downfall was the bathroom door didn't latch. Small detail though-- didn't detract from our stay!

Big picture: very affordable hotel in Kensington area. 200 meters from Earl's Court Station, that is great because you can take a train to Heathrow for less than 5 pounds from there. Also close to Natural Science and Science museums. Reality: accomodations are basic, there is no "lift" and you will have to carry your bags through a narrow space to get to your room. The best: staff is great. Dan even provided me with an extension cord to use my CPAP machine because the electricity outlet was on the opposite side of the bed. Thanks Dan! You saved me.

(Translated) The room is decorated in an old fashioned way, the furniture is old, the bed is not new. However, everything remains comfortable. There was no breakfast offered due to sanitary conditions. Although not physically present, the staff members are extremely accommodating and flexible regarding arrival and departure times and very quick to respond to messages by email. A little refreshment in the bathroom or at the level of the curtains. But that remains a detail. The walls are poorly soundproofed. Un petit coup de rafraichissement dans la salle de bain ou au niveau des rideaux. Mais cela reste un détail. Les murs sont peu insonorisés.

Despite the language barrier, we still managed to communicate with them without any problem. The room was very clean, turquoise colored sheets and curtains overlooking the pretty square. Wednesday evening, we were entitled to a small animation in the street. However, the street is quiet, and several hotels follow one another. The breakfast was more than adequate; a basket including toast, croissants and a plate with cheese, ham and jams. Overall, we really enjoyed our short stay despite maybe being on the top floor with no lift. (Original) Après avoir lu les avis plus que mitigés sur cet hôtel, nous avons tout de même pris le risque de nous y installer. Tout d'abord, le personnel était vraiment très gentil avec nous. Malgré la barrière linguistique, nous avons quand même réussi à communiquer sans problème avec eux. La chambre était très propre, draps et rideaux couleur turquoise donnant sur le joli square. Mercredi soir, nous avions droit à une petite animation dans la rue. Cependant, la rue est calme, et plusieurs hôtels se succèdent. Le petit déjeuner était plus que satisfaisant ; un panier comprenant du pain grillé, des croissants ainsi qu'une assiette avec fromages, jambons et confitures. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons beaucoup aimé notre petit séjour malgré peut être le fait d'être au dernier étage sans ascenseur.

Located 300 m from the very shopping street Earl'sCourt (all shops open very early and late at night) and its metro, very well connected (Picadilly and District lines). I highly recommend this quiet and inexpensive hotel. (Original) Une pension de famille, plus qu'on hôtel. Très calme, face à un jardin privé. Les chambres sont anciennes, hautes de plafond, et les sols craquent, malgré la (trop) ancienne moquette. La salle de bains / toilettes un peu vieillotte, mais grande. Quelques odeurs sortent d'un trou dans son sol, il vaut mieux fermer la porte la nuit. Le rapport qualité-prix est très bon. Situé à 300 m de la très commerçante rue Earl'sCourt (tous commerces ouverts très tôt et tard le soir) et de son métro, très bien desservi (Picadilly et District lines). Le petit-déjeuner continental (français) n'a pas été testé, mais au coin de la rue, le pub Blackbird propose un breakfast anglais dès 8h pour 10£ (+ boissons). Je recommande vivement cet hôtel calme et pas cher.

The hotel is in the best location, right between Notting Hill and Kensington. The subway is about 100m straight (Earls Curt) from the hotel and after three stops you are in the middle of the cake! If you want to travel cheaply and would like to eat out, is with the Marantonhouse Hotel well served! (Original) Zum schlafen ist es absolut perfekt! Wenn mann Ferien macht und lediglich einen Platz zum schlafen benötigt, ist es absolut ideal! Das Hotel ist in der besten lage, genau zwischen Notting Hill und Kensington. Die U-Bahn ist ca. 100m geradeaus (Earls Curt) vom Hotel entfernt und nach drei Stationen ist man mitten im Kuchen! Wer günstig reisen will und sich gerne auswärts verpflegen möchte, ist mit dem Marantonhouse Hotel bestens bedient!
