This hotel was WONDERFUL! The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The location is great with nice restaurants nearby and just a few minutes away from the Southwark Underground Station. The also had very good wifi during our stay. From the moment we checked in they made us feel welcome. So many little details during our stay. After spending our anniversary sightseeing in London, we came back to beautiful decorations and wonderful treats in our room. It was such a wonderful place and we would totally stay there again. The staff is helpful and accommodating. Loved our stay in London and the hotel certainly made an impact.

Not at all a 3 star hotel more like a 4 star!
We had our 2 small dogs with us and got the perfect room with a small balcony so we could enjoy a stress free stay. Everything was perfect from the welcoming, to the meal we had, the drinks we enjoyed with friends in the bar and the well laid breakfast. The rooms are quiet, super comfortable, modern and the bathrooms makes us feel spoiled. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay and for spoiling us :)

This place was amazing. The bartender, Ali, was super nice and genuine. I would like to personally thank Ali and Ines for making this an amazing experience. Ines made our stay feel like home, she helped us navigate where we should go and what to look out for. Ali made us feel welcome was always looking our for us. These two an absolute treat to be around and we always looked forward to seeing them. Thank you both so much for making our experience that much better!!

Stayed there on the 12.02.2022 lovely hotel and great staff. We had a meal in the restaurant and had such a laugh with the 2 waiter's and the food was really good. Would definitely stay there again

Hotel was well located. Staff were friendly - we had a 2pm checkout which was awesome. Room was really comfy but the aircon didn’t work very well and the room was very warm.
C. S.
Highly recommended place to stay. Great location to many historic and modern landmarks and faultless service throughout our stay. All the staff were exceptional, helpful from the start to the end of our stay, and a great breakfast too!

I was able to get a room off of DayUse.com and it was the best choice. I notified reception I'd be a bit late, and when I arrived; it was a quick and easy check in. The room was immaculate and was happy I got to order food for my room.
Hassle free and the staff were lovely, would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

An amazing hotel with a warm, welcoming & tastefully decorated lobby. Staff excellent, lunch was outstanding at the hotel restaurant! Will definitely return!

Really good location. A good hotel with excellent staff on reception and at the breakfast room. Breakfast was enjoyable with typical English breakfast on offer with plenty of fruit alternatives. The only area to mark down was the room. The shower was fine but the general feel of the shower room was worn and tired, and in need of some deep cleaning. So would I return? The answer is yes.
R. M.
Friendly welcome, spacious rooms, very clean, well situated for Borough Market and tate modern, marcos restaurant is well worth a visit, lovely food, & very good service, quality food at reasonable prices, excellent breakfast, Inc full English, much more, would definitely recommend

Room comfortable, staff very helpful and pleasant. Pain with you not accepting cash. Think using covid as an excuse when science doesn't back the reasoning.
T. P.
Bed was super comfortable. Rain shower was fab. I know right? For me it's all about the bed (comfortable mattress and pillows) and shower (right water pressure and enough hot water). Reception staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and really good value for money. Oh and it was a short walk to the Globe Theatre.
A. M.
The stuff were helpful in general however, Shukrin who was one of the receptionist was the best as I’ve booked for 5 nights and found that my room was on the side of construction but she’s moved me to a better one.
C. O.
Very comfortable hotel - bed was lovely and there was plenty of hot water for a lovely shower - ALL the staff were so lovely - so pleasant and couldn’t do enough for you - reception staff so helpful and the restaurant staff at breakfast excellent too. THANK YOU for making our stay so pleasant.
R.
Really good location. The reception staff was very welcoming and friendly. A lot of things to do around (tate modern, restaurants, etc)

Booked via Secret Escapes deal. Hotel in an excellent position behind Tate Modern. Shops, coffee shops and restaurants across the street. This is a London themed hotel which was well done but the room corridors were a bit dark. Room was quite small dominated by a large comfortable bed with an oversized headboard. Apart from bottles of water everything waz provided. Bathroom has a modern design but water from the shower always ends up on the floor, seen this before at another Mercure. Shower head needed a clean to stop water going everywere. Room was clean but could have been better - found a couple of small things left by previous guests. Reception was very good, our room was ready well before check in time. Breakfast was not bad, no fresh fruit but everything else ok - had better breakfast at aNother Mercure and staff seamed a bit disorganised. Not many staff wearing masks. Overal an ok if not great experience, better than Holiday Inn Express down the road.
A. N.
Lovely room in an attractive hotel 10 minutes walk from the tate modern.
Service was wonderful - all the staff are really friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay again - best hotel experience in London I have had.
S. S.
The staff were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. Room nice and clean and food great… but it’s definitely the staff that make this place.. thank you we will be back

Long weekend in London for an event at the O2. Very convenient location, 7-8 minutes walk from Southwark tube.
A. C.
The location was excellent and the staff were very polite and efficient. Breakfast was great and the room was comfortable and clean; altogether, we had a great Bank Holiday weekend.
D. B.
Lovely welcome at reception, very comfortable rooms and good facilities.

Amazing staff. Clean rooms. Decent price. Would definitely recommend. This is my new spot for everyone I come london for business and have to stay overnight.

Booked a 1 night stay so sightseeing around london wouldn’t be rushed. Overall as a family we have been very impressed with the hotel. Checkin was simple and polite, our family room was above our expectations, our room is at the rear of the hotel and although the view from the window wasn’t scenic it was very quiet. room service was quick, and the food tasty.
We would not hesitate to stay here or at another group hotel again the future.
To all at mercure London Bridge, we thank you for your warm service and wish you well.
The Barnes family.

good hotel to stay at for a few nights, great facilities and the cafe/restaurant has a good variety of food and drink

Fabulous service from the coffee, lunch team! Ace barman too x
B. K.
Clean, efficient, friendly. Great breakfast.

Beautiful hipster hotel. Was surprised to see that check in was a simple round table rather than someone standing behind a desk, it made the experience much more personal. I ordered 2 double beds and they weren’t separated to housekeeping separated them and changed the covers within a few minutes. Bathroom was very uniquely decorated and the front door has a picture of a mailbox and door knocker. Loved my stay here.

We would say that this is definitely the best Mercure hotel we have ever stayed in(UK, France, Germany) with an extremely helpful staff. My disabled car parking space was ready and check-in was easy. The room was spacious if perhaps a bit too much black and white. Nice beds with big writing desk small bathroom with large shower and excellent air conditioning. Evening meals were fine and there were no problems with my Wife's allergies. Breakfast had a large self service section and some specialities which were made fresh. Also to be recommended for its selection of English wines and parkling wine-in a French hotel chain... The hotel was very clean with excellent and mainly French staff. Very difficult to find any fault and certainly a jewel in the Mercure crown.
T. A.
Wonderful hotel, clean, very friendly staff, would stay again.
A. S.
Hotel clean and pleasant. If you travel with children and would like to have a room next to you, I would not recommend it because we were given two separate rooms, although we were asking side by side. Often, the cleaning service is late. There is also a small breakfast room and a long wait for the place but sometimes you can find it quickly. The service is nice and overall it is ok. If it were to correct the shortcomings it would be great
M. K.
I booked this hotel for a longer weekend to get to know London :)
The location, the modern design and the price-performance ratio were reasons for choosing it and well, they didn't disappoint me 😊
The room services were great like the interior. The staff was very gentle and it was easy to check-in. The location next to Themse and different bars/pubs is a big plus. The lovely breakfast is also recommendable.
All in all I would book this hotel again at any time if I needed a central and pleasant stay in London 👍🏼🙂
Thanks for your hospitality 😊
D. W.
Not bad value however not very clean, hardly able to see out of the windows, nice staff.

Brilliant hotel, very comfortable room and excellent customer service!
We have had a fantastic weekend.

Had a really enjoyable stay at the Mercure. I stayed here a few years ago and I must say they have kept the standards up. The room was well appointed (twin room) and as there was availability I was even upgraded - always a bonus! The room didn’t have any background noise from the street or other rooms. Would not hesitate to return! Thank you.

We really enjoyed staying at the Mercure hotel. We found the room to be very clean, inviting, and enjoyable to stay in. The breakfast was lovely with a great amount of choice and everything looked fantastic. The cookies and water in the lobby throughout the day was a great touch and I appreciated that the flavour of the water was different each day, we hadn't seen that before and it was a very good detail. Finally the staff were very kind, approachable, and clearly knew what they were doing. Overall the stay was very good and we will definitely be coming back again!
G. F.
Excellent staff and food. Nothing is to much trouble. If you can upgrade to the 7th floor you get a terrace with views of some of the iconic buildings in this part of the City. The hotel is very well situated also for both sides of the river. We have stayed here twice now and hope to do so many more times. Gordon 💓

From the moment we arrived until we left we had a great hotel experience. Easy check in with very friendly reception staff, really good room with every amenity. Clean, bright and very comfortable. Fantastic variety at breakfast - couldn't believe it. And lovely breakfast staff who spent some good time with us. A great overall experience.
A. M.
Hotel room was pretty good, reasonable size and had pretty good facilities. Bits of it looked tired but others were quite new. Staff were very helpful for the most part, they did misplace our food order at dinner but made up for it. Breakfast was good and there was a pretty good range of warm and cold food.
n.
Fantastic hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here. Awesome location with lots of amenities nearby and easy access to tube stations. Couldn't have picked a better spot. Friendly helpful check in staff. Lovely clean and tidy rooms. Would happily recommend and return.
M. A.
Had a very nice stay here, the location is central enough with most of the sights in walking distance. An extra reward has to go to the staff though - they were marvellous handling our questions (and breakfast requests). We had a problem with the shower in our room, which was handled quick and smoothly by moving our room while we were away sightseeing - couldn't ask for a better problem handling. All in all, a 100% recommendation from our side.
F. J. A. C.
Good hotel in general. Very good location, near the subway (7 minutes). Place with many places around for breakfast, lunch and dinner; as well as supermarkets. friendly and attentive staff.
The room a bit small for the price (although I imagine you pay for the area). Ironing board with steam iron in the room !! A luxury
I recommend staying at this hotel

I'm sorry, I thought a 3 star review was good. The hotel was nice, the bed was amazing, the decor was nice.
R. H.
Fantastic. The room was excellent and would be difficult to beat. The staff were very attentive and I was made to feel welcome throughout my stay.
The room had to be one of the best in the hotel and this offered a small terrace balcony. This was refreshing in the morning to be able to enjoy a coffee in the open air.
The Wi-Fi in particular was more than adequate and very easy to use.
D. D.
I WOULD give this place 5 stars because the hotel is great - the concierge and front desk staff are amazing (Danny gave us some awesome recommendations for must-see places in the area), the rooms are great, the bike service is a huge plus, we loved everything about our stay - EXCEPT The Rooftop bar... Terrible service, the drinks were way overpriced, and the 'complimentary drink' that comes with the room 100% did not contain any alcohol. It took us an hour to have one round of drinks. Definitely come and stay in this wonderful hotel - but definitely take your bar patronage elsewhere.
D. M. C.
My family and me stay in the hotel for a couple of days and I have to say that the experience was amazing. We were absolutely surprised with your "trainees" in reception desk: Davide and Sam. Honestly, we never have seen new staff that polite, experienced and professional. Both of them helped us in a few occasions and always with a big smile in their faces. As my family don't speak fluent English, Davide was doing his best to communicate with them in our language. I have to say that he was really good at it. He make a few jokes and my family ended up liking him a lot. We will be back at the hotel definitely and not for the building itself but for your amazing staff that make us feel completely welcome and feel as at home. Definitely, this make the difference. Thanks for you amazing hospitality.
M. M.
Really loved the check in desk, which did not have the usual formalities as it was near the door and easy to access. The fact that staff were sitting next to you removed the usual barrier. The place is extremely clean. We loved the chill out spots in main area with the chess boards which kept my son occupied. Location is fantastic, opposite the Tate, and close the ST Paul's, not far to Tower Bridge. The beds were extremely comfortable. This hotel is also child friendly and we loved the home made cookies at reception.
J. T.
I stayed here with my two teenagers a couple of days ago and I can only sing their praises.
The staff were extremely helpful, the hotel lounges were contemporary and stylish,a nice touch was bowls of fresh apples and homemade cookies to help yourselves.
We had a premier room which was very comfortable, not huge but the beds were very good quality and very comfortable. The only slightly down side was the bathroom was a little dated and needed refurbishing although it was very clean and had fresh fluffy towels and dressing gowns.
The breakfast was excellent, fresh coffee and tea and a host of delicious things on the buffet, couldn't fault it we will definately be back.
A stones throw from the Globe and Tate Modern, Borough market amazing, London Bridge tube a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Lots of lovely restaurants, simply food and Pret next to the hotel.

From the minute we arrived and were helped with luggage up the stairs, friendly check in, fast elevator and lovely clean and well presented room we knew we had chosen our hotel in London well!
Could not fault a thing, we were made to feel extremely welcome and valued. Room was comfortable and clean. Every member of staff we met, front of house, restaurant, bar and room attendants were lovely.
So glad we have booked again for a visit in March 2018!

My wife and I again chose the Mercure London Bridge for its high standards of cleanliness and friendliness of staff as well as good access to the places we wanted to go in London. We were a little disappointed that our towels were not very clean on the first night and that the extractor fan in the bathroom did not seem to work. We reported this to the reception staff first thing in the morning and were surprised to find that nothing had been done about this when we returned to our room shortly after 2.00 pm. When we reported this, our room was cleaned straight away and we were given a voucher for the bar so that we could have a drink while we waited. This was all dealt with very well by the duty manager, who could not have been more helpful. We got the impression that the chap in the morning had not really understood our concerns and issues with the room but we certainly had a much better experience in the afternoon.
Perhaps the language issue is one that seemed to cause the staff in general to be less friendly than we remembered from our previous visit. They also seemed to be far more interested in their laptops than the guests at times. They were perfectly polite but often slow to make eye contact or even acknowledge our presence. We have stayed in many Accor hotels over the years, both as a couple and as a family when our children were younger, and the experience has always been really positive.
We did not have breakfast at all at the hotel as it had been really disappointing the last time but we ate well at various nearby cafes and restaurants.
We still really enjoyed staying at the Mercure but we feel that the overall quality has slipped just a little.
P. R.
I liked the hotel a lot. Bedroom was excellent with a modern bathroom. I ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the food. Staff very welcoming and friendly everywhere. Only reason for the score of 9 instead of 10 was the cold breakfast - the so called hot food was barely luke warm - in fact the bacon was completely cold and yet I was at breakfast quite early - before 7am. Such a shame as the food quality was up to Accor's normally high standard. But wouldn't discourage me from staying again.
A. M.
Very friendly staff. Nice clean rooms, perfect for a short stay!
M. B.
Good location. The food in the restaurant is really regular. Laundry prices are outrageous.
I got a room upgrade because I was staying 3 weeks. Premium room has a Nespresso machine with some free capsules. Lots of amenities, but the room is really old, begging for refurbishing. The A/C does not work. The TV is really small and old, besides has just few channels.
Had a problem with the boiler, leaving us without hot water for 7 hours. Hotel without a shower.
The internet is good.
M. S.
Stayed at the Hotel Mercure for one night to attend a work event nearby. The hotel was clean and the open plan lobby was nice. Slightly confusing as to where the check desk was as it is just a table in the middle of the lobby. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and well kept. Breakfast was good and catered for everyone. Overall a good hotel in London for business.
D. T.
Nice room for our family. Really friendly staff. Breakfast ok
E. I.
I had a lovely stay here. The room and a bathroom was excellent. The food was also great. Highly recommended for stay
B. D.
Pleasant reception, room rather small but functional. The bathroom was good, and nice toiletries. Bottled water in the room would have been a nice thing to provide. The hot items at breakfast could be better, the bacon was overcooked, hard and chewy, fried eggs too greasy dripping oil in the serving dish. However the breakfast was fast and friendly, there was a good selection of cereals, dry fruit and nuts as well as a continental selection.
D. L.
Had a wonderful stay here. The lobby is really modern and very cool to hang out in. The rooms was comfy and had everything we needed and the bathroom was awesome too with a great rain shower and a really modern feel to it also. Nice touch leaving a slice of cheesecake and happy birthday message for my wife too!
L. T.
Great location and a good hotel, just had to park a 5 minute walk away at another hotel
G. C.
The experience was quite nice the hotel room has a reasonable size and the location is amazing since is really near from the tate museum, there are a lot of good places to eat nice food around. Southwark in general is nice place to stay because you are not that inside from the center of London, but is not that far. So you can walk is only 20-30 min walking or you can use the public transportation which is good. The attention from the front desk incredible really helpful with everything.
The restaurant from the hotel Marco's has amazing Italian food if you are not in the mood for going out for dinner, also the bar has good options for snacks.
P. C.
Lovely helpful staff, especially receptionist who went out of her way to help with a booking, didn't stay, was there to meet a friend
N. G.
easy check in, nice location... expensive and not a really great value.
I booked this hotel last minute for a quick two nights. I chose this hotel because it said it had a gym.
The gym is the size of a small hotel room with three machines, a treadmill and a row machine... and a set of dumbbells that went up to 9kg... my suitcase weighs more than 9 kg.
Anyways, not what I expected for paying $300 per night on a Wednesday and Thursday.
The rooms are nice. the bathrooms are nice. The shower didn't drain well and overflows onto the floor if you don't keep your eye on it. I wish I had time to tell the front desk but I forgot so whoever reads this from the hotel you might want to check it out.
The walls were a bit thin and I could hear a lot. It didn't bother me much but if you're a light sleeper beware.
There is a convenience store across the street so you buy waters at a normal price instead of paying 2-3x for water from the hotel. I was disappointed that there's a fridge in the room but no complementary waters or anything in the fridge.
spotty wifi at times I expected consistent high speed broadband staying at 4-star hotel near london bridge.
J. H.
Checking in was very easy, was given directions to my room and to the restaurant for breakfast the next morning. I asked for, and was given, 2 room keycards which was a nice touch. The room was clean, comfortable with a lovely view - exactly what I would expect from the hotel. Only stayed one night but had a very very enjoyable stay.
P. J.
The hotel is a bit different in terms of decor and reception approach, but I like it. The room was a good size with a good bed and shower. It wasn't cheap but the location was good for where I needed to be. 3/5 because at the time of writing I have a complaint that wasn't responded to. I ordered room service, it didn't come. I called thirty minutes later, they had forgotten. I was assured it would not be billed. It was and wasn't removed because you just check out and get sent the bill later.
M. O.
Very nice and comfortable room. Great staff - very courteous, helpful and friendly. Went to great lenghts to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Great location. Bus stop outside hotel. RV1 bus takes you close to London eye or the west end theatres within 15 minutes. 5 minute walk to Southwark tube station.
M. M.
Really nice hotel with a great breakfast (gluten free options available). Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff seemed a bit inexperienced at times but was very friendly. Great location, we walked to pretty much all the main sights.
P. T.
Free upgrade to junior suite when I arrived. Gorgeous room on the top floor. Beautiful purple lights outside that lit up the room. Loved the decor and the dual shower head, one that was a overhead rain one. Also loved that it had two toilets. I would definitely stay here again.
L. C.
This hotel is located in Bankside just a few minutes walk from the Tate Modern. Wonder a little further to Borough Market or the Shard. Staff are friendly. The contemporary rooms are comfortable but perhaps on the small side. WiFi is free and available throughout the building. If you need to grab a bite to eat then the on site Marco Pierre White restaurant is available or just across the street are a selection of other eateries. I was surprised to find a gym so never got to try it. Breakfast offers a good selection of cooked and continental choices
M. S.
Conforms to the typical standards of the accor group, clean rooms with good touches including all the convenient consumables stuff in the bathroom and enough power sockets to charge an insane amount of gadgets. Very quiet and spacious considering the location and a very hipster but well set out breakfast.
My one issue is the removal of a reception desk to a "welcome table" is confusing and hard to know if any staff are there.
R. Y.
Excellent property with friendly and courteous personnel. Close to London Bridge underground station. Avoid taxi since traffic is a problem. Sometimes its faster just to walk, weather permitting . Hotel provides good buffet breakfast and reasonably price. It is also an Italian restaurant during lunch and dinner time. Room is comfortable and well ventilated.
G. K.
I'm a regular at this hotel and it never fails to impress. The staff were so helpful and professional, the bar was relaxed and had a nice atmosphere, the breakfast was superb with plenty of choice for everyone. Well done to all involved with th the running of this hotel.

Right from arrival to departure, me and my wife felt very comfortable at this hotel! We never passed a member of staff without being greeted, room was very nice and spacious, breakfast was good and the location of the hotel fitted our needs just perfectly. Will definitely recommend this hotel to others!
S. J.
Booked for business. Seamless check in experience. Very nice room; good size, modern, clean. Fantastic shower, very comfortable bed with great pillows. Good work space and robust wifi. Lovely breakfast, great selection. Would happily stay again.
T. M.
Stayed here to access the Globe Theatre and the location was ideal. Looks like the hotel has been recently renovated. The service is excellent, great staff. There was some noise from building work being carried out on the room next door when we arrived but that finished early afternoon.
H. A.
It was great, the service and the food were excellent.
A. D. B.
Excellent hotel both business or family.... cool, confortable, well located... breakfast is high quality for the size of the hotel and the staff members are always willing to help. If english is your problem they have a guy at the recepcion that speak spanish, in fact he is spanish, that is one of the more amable folks ive meet at this hotel. I will back with my family for sure....
O. J. J.
The Hotel was in good shape, clean and find rooms. I like the interior at the hotel as well as the breakfast. The crew, who worked there were very friendly and helpfull. They helped us getting tickets at Warner Bros Harry Potter world :). I really liked the bathroom, the best shower in a hotel I can think of.
J. H.
I stayed here a couple of years ago and enjoyed it considering I was expecting cheap and cheerful. The room was small but very nice and the bar area suited for a nice drink before going out.
I ate there once and the food was nice. The staff were friendly and was good for a cheaper weekend away with a good location.
H. ه.
It's very good hotel,clean 👍 and good staff 👍

Friendly welcome. Superb rooms. Great shower! Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice.
A very relaxing stay.
We stayed here for shows in West end and found it very easy to walk. (30 mins) taxi about £12.
C. E.
We were met at the door on arrival& our luggage carried in. We arrived early expecting to drop our bags but were greeted, checked in & given our room key. Each time we entered or left the hotel we were acknowledged by staff . Location was excellent for tubes, cafes, restaurants, walking etc. Room was good size, clean & had all amenities.
T. Z.
This is one of my favorite Mercure hotels. Deserved to be rated as a five stars hotel. Service was exquisite and I stayed during the world cup where they had a big screen set up in the lobby to watch the games. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a hotel close to London Bridge.
J.
Check in and out was a breeze. Staff were very efficient and helpful. Coffee and tea making facilities in the room were excellent. Only short coming - no body lotion and conditioner in the bathroom. Slippers and bathrobes would be a big plus. :)
A. L.
We've used this hotel for meetings for a few years now, and everything is faultless, from the room to the facilities. We've actually started booking 2 meetings ahead as, on one occasion, we were unable to secure our preferred date at the Mercure, and made the mistake of booking an alternative venue nearby. We were met with a dark, underground conference room with a dodgy screen and so-so lunch.
Thankfully, we're now back at the Mercure, with pastries with our morning coffees, a lovely lunch buffet, well lit conference room with great A/V equipment, comfortable seating... I could go on!
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!
G. C.
A very good hotel with an excellent customer service. They rooms are pretty good and comfortable and the hotel also features a restaurant (the Marco's New York Italian), which is pretty good and comes in hand when you don't want to leave the hotel for lunch or dinner.
L. S.
We usually stay at this hotel when visiting London. As usual the welcome was warm and friendly. As we'd checked in online we were quickly handed our keys and off up to our room. Perhaps too quickly as we forgot to arrange room credit for food and drinks and also forgot to order newspapers.
The only niggle was that the one time we wanted to have a tea and coffee in the room the only tea available was fruit tea so hubby had to make do with coffee.
D. P.
Room was great. Really good night's sleep. Staff were friendly and attentive. Parts of the hotel were a bit messy but they're currently having some work done. No reason not to give the place 5 stars though. Will definitely return.
H. K.
The Hotel Mercure London Bridge hotel is centrally located in London. The staff and concierge services are the best. It is safe, very clean and quite rooms. And the lobby is extremely meticulous about who can pass into the lobby area for safely. And terrific restaurants are located just walks away from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel, the rooms are spacious!
t. 2.
Well I must say this has been a diamond find in London!
I usually pop in here for breakfast or for meetings. From the warmth of the receptionist Alberto , to the friendly winning smiles of the restaurant team Baiba ,Antonio, Teresa, and Halimata you wont find a better place to have a nice meal in London. its more like a home from home.
I havent had a chance to stay in the hotel yet, but when I produce my next production, will make sure to bring the crew here for drinks and nice meal. Roberto and I agree that they do the best coffee in London.
Another 5 star all round. The only thing i have to worry about is how big my tummy is getting. Portions are generous too, lol :)
E. S.
Overall a good experience. Liked the location, able to walk to most central London attractions. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was nice except for the make your own tea on the upstairs bit. Didn't find chopped fruit salad until the end of first breakfast.
P. N.
Very satisfied with our stay. The location was quiet while within easy walking distance of shopping, the Underground, and the Thames, the room comfortable, well-appointed and unusually spacious (for a central London hotel), the breakfast varied and delicious, and the staff friendly. Highly recommended.
G. M.
Staff is super friendly and helpful. Room look a little used, but over all very comfy. Breakfast is typical for this kind of hotel.
S. D.
Staff were very friendly, place was immaculate especially the bathroom ( that's my biggest problem with hotels if the bathroom is not clean), nice vibe in the lobby area - totally relaxed.
Only downside was the rooms were a tad small. Felt I was tripping over my partner. Premier inn give bigger rooms even in London.
For some reason on the first morning our breakfast had been taken by someone else. We had to prove that it wasn't us. Not very keen on this first thing
D. P.
Great staff, clean rooms, lots of space, the bed is big. Shower very good! Metro station around 7min walking and bus lines at the door of the hotel. The only downside is the lift, only one for the whole hotel and for no more than 4 persons. I fully recommend this hotel.
2. E. S. L.
Excellent hotel very friendly staff nice rooms with everything needed. The reception and bar was great lovely decor and atmosphere with sky sports. The dining was marco Pierre restaurant and the food was great would recommend this hotel.
G. L.
The staff were absolutely wonderful here along with the location and room. The only slight down side was that on the first morning breakfast was chaotic with not enough bowls or spoons that seamed to take forever to rectify with many tables left uncleared. The breakfast itself was lovely however.
M. M.
On checking in we were met by a lady at the reception desk with a warm, friendly, welcoming smile. The staff were so friendly, our room was really nice and the breakfast was lovely so all in all we had a thoroughly great weekend made extra special with our stay at the hotel, so Thank You guys for making it so nice.
Kind Regards
Marie

Everything was amazing. My travel agent booked us out of Paris France instead of London and we did not notice it until 8 pm that night. The staff found my family a four a solution and kept me calm which is not an easy task ( in am from Chicago travel with two toddlers overseas) this staff, Resturant, room, and decor was stellar we will stay here again if we are ever back in London
E. W.
I had a brilliant time here, rooms looked great, we're clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was really good! I would recommend to anyone
S. N.
Good standard of room
Good standard of breakfast
Very conveniently located for where I had to be (examining for the Royal College of Emergency Medicine)
Special mention for the receptionist who was working on the afternoon/evening of Sunday 23rs April 2017 (unfortunately, I do not know her name). She was very pleasant and helpful and answered all my queries very efficiently and warmly.

Overall was considered average, have experienced better Accor hospitality.
Good :
1. the people in Mercure London Bridge were the ones who made the difference throughout my stay, especially those at the breakfast service. Big applause for them.
2. the location is good & near amenities & convenience shops
3. food selection for breakfast is pretty good
Bad :
1. no mineral waters/bottled waters was given throughout the entire 5 days stay
2. no cotton buds, sanitary bags or shower caps was given, stating it was not available except for the shower caps given upon request
3. the kettle was not working but changed after request as the housekeeping staff said it was the wrong kettle
4. the rain shower was spraying water onto the entire bathroom surfaces, even outside the shower area, caused my clothes, towel, facial stuff & makeup wet, super wet on the first day & subsequently I didn't dare to use the rain shower anymore
-your maintenance people should really check it & repair immediately; should not have anyone staying in that room in the first place
P. P.
Great place to spent bit of time and have a relaxing time. Feels like home. Also Staff is great taking care about all customers! Big thanks for Alexandra for keeping everything up to line :)
Btw also a great pizza !
M. A.
Hotel was clean, reception staff were friendly. The room I was given was tucked away in a corner with little room and was a bit dated. Tried to get a drink in the bar but the bar staff were more interested in talking to their friends so I gave up. An average stay, would probably go somewhere else next time
P. H.
Company booked the meeting rooms for some training. Had a few issues with the room and the food was a bit mixed. Some of the snacks were pretty good, the lunch was very mediocre

My wife and I stayed at this comfortable Mercure in November 2014 on our annual city trip to London. We stayed in room 622, a high room on the front of the building tucked in the corner which was very quiet and comfortable. The room was of a decent size - certainly large by London standards - and we appreciated the ability to open the window.
We liked the informal approach of the staff during check-in and check-out and generally found the staff friendly. At some times we did find the staff a little disparaging. The lobby is warm and inviting, particularly given the windy street outside, and was filled with free cookies and sweets!
We found the location to be reasonable but slightly more disconnected than we were used to in London. The wonderful Tate Modern and the reconstructed Globe Theatre are a short walk from the hotel, but otherwise the area is a little out of the way.
Having said that though, conveniently located just outside the hotel is however the bus stop for the RV1 service which can take you directly to Covent Garden, Waterloo Station, London Bridge Station or Tower Gateway Station, which opens up a lot of possibilities but it does increase the transit time around the city. Southwark and London Bridge tube stations aren't too far to walk, but the weather may discourage you as the area gets very windy.
In general we cannot fault the hotel, and I concur with the recent reviews of the property.
M. R.
Beautiful hotel, great location, and lovely staff that went above and beyond during our stay. They even did something special for my mom's birthday. I would definitely stay here again.
D. R.
Greeted on arrival, asked if green tea bags supplied in room was advised they were but if anymore needed to call reception. Before I had chance to pick up the phone there was a knock on my door with an extra supply.
Room clean and as requested ( twin beds ).
Everything you would want from a stay, thank you to all the staff.
The only point I would make regarding the booking, I was quoted a certain rate for the room but when I mentioned I would be paying with Tesco vouchers the price increased by over £40. Also I was told I would not receive the 10% discount for being an accor member.
I think the price should not change purely because of the payment method.
I chose not to use the vouchers because of this, but I did think the policy should be looked at in future.
S. S.
I stay in London quite regularly with work and whenever this hotel is available through our booking service I always chose it first. The staff are lovely, the rooms are comfy, and location is perfect for my work and the breakfasts are the best! Boiled eggs for the win.
J. D.
From the moment I entered the hotel lobby I felt a warm welcome and felt very at home. The staff at the hotel was amazing and fabulous. Overall, a wonderful experience. I would absolutely stay there again.
R. S.
Nice boutique hotel with meeting rooms. Marco Pierre White New York restaurant is in this hotel as well. Reception desk is in unusually set up as a round table, but it works. Nice furniture. Polite staff and easy location to find..15 minute walk from London Bridge station and a 13 minute walk from London Blackfriars (back exit).
K. M.
Staff were friendly, room was clean, food was delicious. Special shout out to the barman Stefano who was genuine, helpful and friendly which made all the difference. I would highly recommend this to someone looking for a place to stay near London Bridge.
b. o.
the staff were helpful and polite. The pillows in our room were far too firm for my wife and I and the lady on reception was unable to have them changed for softer ones. My wife and I had to sleep with our heads on cushions for 3 nights. Not good.
C. H.
I use this hotel when staying in London for work occasionally, the rooms are not huge but they are well equipped and nicely done. What makes this hotel great is the staff - they are always happy to help and the place has a nice atmosphere. Great location too, for work or play!!
D. K.
Very nice hotel, modern, cool and well thought through. Staff are very friendly, rooms absolutely fine, beds super comfy. Good value, can recommend.
L. M.
Lovely hotel, comfortable room and efficient friendly staff
L. M.
The Mercure London Bridge offers a local experience throughout. Every single details is London oriented. The food is delicious and the room very comfortable. However the team is truly the highlight. Thank you making me always right at home!!
T. M.
Handy location for the City and South Bank. Coming back I was pleasantly surprised to get a top-floor room assigned. Breakfast was great in buffet. Room: Classic / Double bed. It's within the congestion charge area and has very limited parking so bear that in mind if you are driving.
V. R.
Only on day three if our weeklong stay, but so far everything is great. The room is basically brand new and both fresh and cozy. Top notch bath - super fresh. Friendly staff and perfect location
T. M.
We chose this hotel after a wonderful stay at Mecure Sheffield. We had told the hotel that it was our anniversary and as a surprise they upgraded our room and left a lovely cheesecake in our room. Friendly welcome on arrival and I was given my husbands message on arrival.
I. H.
Great place to stay for family trip to London. Staff were pleasant and helpful, room and shower were nice, breakfast tasty and hotel itself very close to Tate Modern and Millennium Bridge. Would stay again.
T. M.
We booked it via accor rewards and were pleasantly surprised with how good it was for the price. In terms of location we found this good for our visit. The colleagues on reception could not do enough for us. I would stay here again if I was in the same area in the future.
E. B.
Stayed here during my stay in London. Warm and welcoming reception area. spacious and clean rooms. Delicious breakfast. Definitely recommend.
J. J.
I was visiting a friend there, we had dinner, all staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor and mood lighting is beautiful. Room was a very nice size too
S. R.
Have stayed here half a dozen times. Never disappointed. Clean, comfy, friendly staff - nothing too much trouble. Great location.
A. D.
I stay here often when I goto London for its great location, style and rooms. Always lovely staff and if you ring ahead they can accommodate cars on site which for London is very rare. Short walk from the tube or the river.
P. N.
Decent value for money (although prices fluctuate) and location in a quiet corner of Southwark. Friendly staff, and lots of choice for restaurants. Rooms are basic, but I really liked the bathroom.
J. C.
The hotel was so central, and the staff were great. The rooms and the bed were really comfortable. The personal touches given us due to our membership with accor were standout.
T. M.
All facilities were excellent as was our dining experience. Quite funky interior with staff checking you in via a tablet. I was pretty grumpy when I realised out how far I'd have to wheel my luggage from London Bridge tube station, and even grumpier when I found out that Southwark station was closer.
M. B.
I just love that hotel. When I'm in London I stay there every time. It has wonderful lobby with projector and bar, so you can grab a beer or order a dish and enjoy watching a football match!
N. S.
Hotel ok and staff very friendly but I would question 4 star? Queen Bed was 2 Singles pushed together and both beds didn't even match, one side was 2 inches higher than the other.
Also, Beer flat in the beer, not good for the price...
R. H.
Good, clean sizeable room. 5 minutes walk to city hall, tate modern and Tower Bridge. Only complaint, housekeeping tried to enter the room twice between 10 and 11 when checkout was not until 12.
L. M.
Outstanding service from the manager.
He helped us find another hotel on New years eve because Expedia had double booked us.
Thank you so much
R. G.
Had a meal in the Marco Pierre White restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was very good.
L.
Absolutely amazing hotel and staff!
Lovely hotel and so clean, our room was perfect with a great little balcony for morning breakfast and to watch the sunrise - I would definitely stay again.
I. J.
All staff were very helpful and welcoming as soon as we entered the hotel.
The room was clean and comfortable. Bar and restaurant was very good.
C. J.
We stayed for one night on a Friday night. The hotel itself is fairly modern looking, and check in was very efficient. The room itself was a little dated and quite tight however. We didn't have breakfast, so can't comment on that.
M. S.
Good food friendly staff. Very nice indeed.
A. M.
Hotel reasonably close to southwark tube so was easy to find. Rooms were very comfortable and we had lovely balcony and view.Bar and restaurant area very comfortable. Breakfast was a well organised buffet with plenty of choice.
S. S.
Super swanky, and in a great place. The staff are super friendly and the in-house restaurant is really awesome. Breakfast there is highly recommended. The entire experience really could not have been better.
J. P.
We got upgraded to a suite which was very nice. Looking onto the main road but not too much noise and we are pretty sensitive to noise. Comfy bed.
R. M.
Mostly good, some minor issues..
Room 209 sink must be nearly blocked, does not drain at any speed. Shower - head unit is leaking, so there is not the full rainfall effect. Bathroom floor needs a deep clean to remove the stains on the tiles beneath the towel heater rail.
I. D.
Stayed for two nights whilst visiting as the Tate Modern and the National Theatre
Ideal location, comfortable and the staff were very welcoming.I would also recommend the breakfast at this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
M. L.
Everyone at the hotel was very hospitable, kind, and responsive to every need. I would highly recommend the hotel. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and it is in a good location for sight seeing.
s.
Good sized rooms, all amenities, high quality fittings, attentive staff and pleasant bar. Excellent choice of breakfast but disappointingly bland cooked options.
K. P.
Despite being so close to the London Bridge attack, we had an excellent stay at the Mercure. The room was clean and fresh, the staff were extremely professional and polite and the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.
M. H.
It was our first time at the hotel and we're not sure what to expect. The staff made us very welcome and the overall atmosphere with the other guests made it a very satisfactory stay.
c. h.
It's a Mecure hotel so you know what to expect. Breakfast a little chaotic when it's busy. Great location. The Table next door is a great place for food anytime of the day.
B. C.
From the beginning to the end it was a nice stay. A very nice room with a confortable bed. Bathroom very clean, staff helpful. I will come back in June for my next stay in London.
l. g.
Lovely hotel, rooms are a bit on the small side but for location to all the great landmarks of London you couldn't get better, clean, breakfast you can not fault.
I will return to this hotel
A. G.
We enjoyed the stay at mercure along with the daily breakfast at Marco. The room needs to be cleaned properly as my allergies flared up to the pre existing dust and pollen. There were stains on carpet as well.
A. C.
Hotel Mercure is in a great location. The hotel itself is clean, modern and the rooms are decent and functional bit not exceptional in any way. I'd stay again if I was on that side of London.
Y. K.
Nice place. Cozy and suitable for a short stay. The rooms are bit small but not bad. Service is good as well.
P. C.
Lovely staff and really smart hotel in a brilliant location - I thought the check in desk was a nice touch as it wasn't behind a counter like other hotels - it seemed very open and friendly - room was great!!
K. T.
Hotel is clean with friendly staff. They have a breakfast that is convenient, but you're better off going to a breakfast spot close by.
M. W.
Visited as a venue for a training course. For this purpose it was excellent, refreshments timely and a friendly welcome. Cannot review bedrooms however as did not stay the night.
F. A.
excellent reception fantastic, room lovely location was brilliant for everything. The only down side the cost of breakfast which we did have but very expensive
J. D.
Pleasant hotel in great location. Friendly staff. Downside was there was no room to work in the bedroom as the bed pushed up against the desk
K. A.
It's a very nice and cosy hotel in the Center of London. Near the Räte Modern and the Thames it's in a beautiful surounding. The rooms, service and breakfast are very good!
A. J.
Outstanding check-in staff and great room cleaning on both days. Lovely room, pillows and bathroom. Quiet at night as well. Highly recommended.
S.
Amazing location, very friendly staff, good rooms. My next visit to London I would probably not look further for another hotel.
O. B.
I like the hotel. Nice staff, good food, clean room. In some rooms you have your own coffee machine.
K. B.
Very nice rooms. Great welcome at the reception table, an example for other hotels. Fantastic breakfast.
M. S.
Nice and clean rooms, comfortable bed. Friendly staff and very nice dinner and breakfast. Good Wifi. Recommend.
S.
Good hotel. Recently refurbished. Clean rooms and good attached restaurant here. Prices fluctuate a lot though so book early.
E. L.
Stayed before. Staff always excellent. Room fine. Well situated hotel with relatively good access to the City.
I. E.
We loved our stay at the Mercure London Bridge - fantastic, central location, really friendly and helpful staff, and the rooms were very stylish and practical. Would definitely recommend!
T. M.
Very nice and modern hotel. Staff is very friendly. Beds are a bit hard but that's personal taste.
B. K.
Nice kind staff, and they are helpful like they can help you if you ask where London Bridge and locations such as that
A. P.
Great hotel, they convinced me with the gym + included breakfast :)
Edit - gym is tiny just a heads up ;)
K. J.
Very comfortable rooms and attentative Staff.
A. P.
Staff was excellent. Bit of a hiccup with coffee machine but all made right. Superb location, clean comfortable room.
D. B.
I really liked the hotel ,the restaurant was very good the staff were also very good to us
The location is not near any tube stations so you have a walk either way to get to one ,but it was close to borough markets and the shard so that was good ,room was superb all in all I would have no hesitation in staying there again
A. H.
very friendly staff, comfortable bed and spacious room. wifi was not always working but working most of the time.
G. T.
Nice hotel located in the middle of London bridge station and Southwark station. Good location. They have a nice restaurant to dine too 👍
M. S.
We stayed in the hotel for two nights, hotel is small but room is extremely clean and well maintained, they refill your fridge with refreshments everyday, and bathroom is topnotch and super clean, staff are super nice and friendly and are not shy to help you in anyway, we had a pleasant stay and we will come back there our next trip to London
S. D. L.
I had been staying within this group hotels, very clean rooms and good service. But it is better to have bigger wardrobe.
M. G.
The privilege room was very nice and accommodating. I had dinner with a tour group though and the distribution of food wasn't very organized and that's about my only complaint
S. L.
Great restaurant. I'm nowhere near posh enough to be there but it felt very decadent to go there with my girlfriend for our anniversary
K. A.
Good staff, easy check-in, perfectly fine but small room and uncomfortable bed. Great location.
A. P.
It was fabulous with outstanding service, particularly from the Manager and from Jessica, however, upon our return we have found we have been charged for breakfast three times so I will need to rectify this as an amount of 99.50 British Pounds has already been taken out of the account and there are two more of these amounts pending which is incorrect.
L. L.
Lovely - friendly staff, excellent breakfast and a beautifully clean room with plenty of air con on a super hot day!
P. T.
One of my favourite hotels. Well designed, contemporary, friendly, wonderful rooms, gym and sauna. Perfect.
P. A.
We enjoyed our stay and were impressed by the quality and friendliness of the staff. They go out of their way to be helpful.
P. F.
I found the hotel very friendly, comfortable and convenient. I would recommend it for people whose business is around the Bankside or City areas of London
A. C.
Check in was quick and easy, friendly staff.
Room was perfect.
Room service -late dinner- a bit slow, but ok.
K. M.
Nice hotel, comfortable bed, check in took a little longer than usual but overall good experience
M. A.
Great location and very nice rooms. Conveniently located near the city. Highly recommended.
L. C.
Excellent accommodation and staff. Breakfast is also very good value for money. Highly recommend.
A. G.
The hotel, the "lobby" with the living rooms and the bar, the decoration, everything it's beautiful, the only 2 things that i will change would be the lift's lobby and the showers need a door
From Mexico, congratulations
C. M.
Friendly and efficient staff. Room immaculately clean. Great location especially for walking along the river.
M. G.
The hotel was lovely and where it was situated was great but I was disappointed that after paying for an upgrade on arrival that I did not get everything that was included in the upgrade (ie bathrobe and slippers).
M. C.
Clean room with restaurant on site and conveniently situated close to the shard
m. k.
Great hotel. Nice staff. Good beds and clean.
Love the breakfast here
A. M. C.
Just spent one night, however the hotel was clean and the service was good. No complaints, all perfect.
N. F.
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in - room great and staff friendly and helpful - stayed when attending London for work.
H. C.
Had drinks at the bar with colleagues. The bar was comfortable with nice chairs. The service was average. Overall, nice but nothing spectacular.
M. R.
Rooms were small but comfortable. room temperature was comfortable. Staff were outstanding in their attempts to satisfy
T. J.
Well situated in London. Staff are somewhat passive and not necessarily looking out for guests comfort. Bare minimum. Very nice however.
T. M.
The Southwark Mercure occupies a great location because it's close to a major railway station (Waterloo) and a short walk to the City of London across the millennium bridge to St Pauls and Bank. Close by are tube stations and a stone's …
C. W.
Rooms were clean and nice. Front desk customer service was great. They were extremely helpful.
