Acceptable hotel in a nice area - small rooms + small beds (and you can literally hear everything through the walls) - friendly service - cleanliness ok - good area (10 min walk to Notting Hill Underground) All in all it is an acceptable hotel for a City trip in London and the price for that area is okay. We paid ~100£ per night for a double room and it was one of the cheapest hotels in Zone 1.

Good position near Bayswater tube with restaurants and shops. Very attractive decor. Lift to all floors. Room 108. Small "double" ensuite room. Balcony can be reached by exiting the sash window. Tea/coffee/kettle but no eating/ drinking in room 😁 My complaints are reasonable. 1. The double bed had a double sheet stretched over two SINGLE mattress ggggrrrrrr. As I purposely stayed there to make love to my boyfriend on his birthday we were not amused. We spent the night falling down between the two mattresses. Ridiculous! 2. The stench of weed coming from the other rooms and the balcony was overpowering. Euww. 3. No toilet brush. The poor cleaner I feel sorry for them. 4. To the new receptionist, if you work in a hotel reception, on the first day find out where the tube station is! No I don't have access to Google maps. If I did I wouldn't be asking. Bonkers. Unless I can be guaranteed a double mattress on a double bed I will not be staying again. Stupid shortcut which was extremely annoying.

Rooms very small and in basement the WiFi connection was acceptable former guests derek and Dave were watching explicit material on Netflix and had left login details also urine unflushed in the toilet and basment rooms noisy as restaurant is currently being used as laundry unfortunately would not stay again they only had grab and go bags for breakfast which was disappointing left hungry there was also blood on my towel even tho I was not bleeding that comes to show they have not washed the towels

This was a last minute booking and priced extremely reasonable. Staff pleasant on reception. The hotel is immaculate and beautiful inside. Really historic. Room was appointed very well, although small. Perfect for our needs. The bed was good but one half of the mattress was dipping in the middle. However not a huge problem for one night. Shower room very nice and clean. Lovely white fluffy towels. Breakfast was included being continental and very nicely displayed, plenty to choose from. Staff here were also very pleasant and helpful. My husband and I really appreciated this stay. Would highly recommend it.

This is my second time staying here at this hotel and it was just as lovely as the first. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Very helpful with booking and information about the city. Breakfast was a beautiful contential style buffet. Our room was small, however that was to be expected within Europe. Our bathroom was very small too (had to get changed outside of it) and didn't have a shower curtain so water went all over the floor, this is something I hope the hotel can look into. Something else that worried me is the beds, they roll. They slid all over the room, very dangerous for people as they could fall or slide. All in all very nice hotel, close to 2 stations and buses. Close to nice shops and Portobello road. Very clean and tidy, also a really handy coffee/tea maker. Would recommend for a cute and quiet place in London.

Just completed my stay at The New Linden hotel and it was a great stay. Mohammed was an exceptional host and his recommendations were superb. The hotel was quaint and friendly with a decent continental breakfast. If you need AC in your room, you won’t get it(they do offer an oscillating fan). Luckily it was cool during our stay and an open window was just perfect. The location was great and easily accessible to the tube and local pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend and I will stay again when I return.

Excellent reception, great breakfast and rooms are perfect for a quick 1-3 night stay. I say only three nights because the rooms are small - however you get Amazing value. As a solo traveller you would be ok extending your stay for a regular length of time. Couples might find the situation a bit cramped after a few nights. Beds were very comfortable, showers are large with great pressure and really hot water And last but not least - the towels are huge!

Staff was accommodating and trustworthy. The location was off the grid and private. The cost is reasonable compared to other places. Your room will be small and that is just the reality of staying in a city like London. The breakfast in the morning had numerous options for all diets. My only complaint was a weird experience where I thought someone was knocking at my door but I was not sure because of the way sound travels in the small corridors.

The staff is really kind and ready to help. The rooms look nice though they are small. The Hotel is not too far from the underground station, but get ready for a good walk (not a problem is you're carrying lightweight luggage). Avoid the breakfast.

Nice hotel, well located 5 min wall from 2 tubes station. Checked in late night (or should say early morning) after a night flight, got a basement room. Not that it is a bed room, has a window to a "wall view", but one thing problematic, you don't get the WiFi. Asked to move to a higher floor and indeed was moved for the rest of my staying the next day. Hotel, though in an historical building, is fully renovated and modern. Standard tween room I booked turned out to be a very small room but clean, all amneties available, including a kettle and safe. One problem, due to the old building, you can hear people walking or dragging things from the room above you. I booked "including breakfast" which is served in a very small dinning room at basement floor, some hours of the meal it is very crowded and you'll need to wait for a table. The food served is basic, not an "English Breakfast", I loved the freshly baked baguette and croissant. Staff is very freindly and helpful. Around the hotel lots of dinning options, pubs, restaurants and fast food. All in all a very positive experience. Would recommend it warmly as a good price good value for the money option in London.

Service is great and breakfast is delicious! Only downside is the tiny "deluxe" room we have with almost no space to fit our luggage and still have room to stand on the floor... also no shower curtain so the bathroom floor is pretty wet.

Advertised as a hotel it is more a BnB. Unfortunately there are alot of rules - no eating in rooms or drinking alcohol. There is no fridge and no air conditioning even in luxury rooms. The woman on front desk was not particularly friendly. The continental breakfast was ok.

To begin with: the service from the staff was impeccable, breakfast included in the price, the location was brilliant - only one stop on the tube from paddington with 10 minutes from Bayswater station and the interior of the reception was nice. However, when checked in to an 'Executive Double Room' in no.15, it did not match the description or the pictures for what we were expecting at all - certain 'facilities' weren't included such as an iPod dock or a hairdryer. The walls are very thin, can hear absolutely everything, from people in the lobby to those in the room above and maintenance work (we were warned about this upon arrival) Having asked for a late check out, we were offered it 'complementary'until noon instead of 10.30am, however it became clear why it was free when we couldn't get a decent sleep. The door handle for our small bathroom was coming off on the inside, there was a distinct smell in the shower, like a dodgy drain and when turning the hot tap on foggy water would come out. Of course, mentioning this at the time would've been the right thing to do.

There was building works being carried on workers were coming in and out of window not allowing us to recover from a hangover. Wonderful. We received a very warm welcome to this spotlessly clean homely hotel. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful - from the receptionists to cleaners. Reception staff were a fount of knowledge for all things local and further afield. Breakfast did not have a cooked option, but there was plenty of choice of other fresh foods available. restaurants and shops. Walking distance to Portabello Road, tubes and bus stops into London. Cycle hire across the road. In a quiet area near to Hyde Park Couldn't have been happier and will definitely stay again when next in London, I'd give it 11/10
