A. C. T.I lived at New Mansion house for 2 years back in the early 2000s and I still miss it. One of the best experiences of my life. Great people, great service, amazing location, and all around a formative experience that will stay with me forever.
M. S. A. K.New Mention House is a cosy accommodation, and you will find friendly staff. They clean your rooms daily and provide bedding every two weeks. Catering is available but not that tasty food. Breakfast is okayish - you'll get the same breakfast all week. Catering staff sometimes doesn't know what they're serving, so I can't eat without knowing what it is for me.
Bathrooms are shared and are maintained very well. One can use any bathroom in the building, so no need of waiting. The rooms are good but not worth the money if we have to share with someone.
The accommodation is in a good location. Almost all the shops are available within a 10-minute walk.

u. y.I have been living in New mansion for almost a year. Fairly priced i first stayed in 4 bed dormitory £135 weekly later moved for a twin room £169 weekly, is really clean. Excellent location, five minutes walking distance to shops, Hyde park and underground. Volunteers and the management team are very hospitable and nice. Thank you Ibrahim for helping me move to the spacious twin room that I am really happy about it, thank you all for everything.
I recommend this place not only for students , young people but also for professionals. Thanks

T. B.It is a great place to live. It is nice and clean and probably the most affordable place in central London. Location is amazing, right in front of Hyde Park and next to major markets. Amenities are great too. Facilities are clean. It is catered and food tastes good. But most of all, it boasts of a very welcoming community. People are super nice and accomodating, cheerful and with warm smiles. :) I spent 8 months here and I couldn't have picked a better place.

The location is absolutely excellent, the staff is very friendly (special mention to Ibrahim) and it does feel like home away from home. Considering its location, it really offers a great value for your money, and the two meals served each day really make a difference when you are busy and don't have time to cook for yourself.
I would definitely recommend staying at New Mansion House if you want to save some money, make new friends and/or be within walking distance of many attractions.
s. g.I came to London to study at Imperial College and I have stayed at New Mansion House for 15 months where I found everything I needed to feel welcomed and at home.
I absolutely love the location just across Hyde Park and how you can easily walk to Queensway, Notting Hill, South Kensington, Oxford Circus, etc. The 2 meals/day included in the rent are great value for the money. Not only the food was delicious, but the menu also varies each day and there is a variety to choose from even within one meal.
I have a special appreciation for the staff because everyone was really friendly and extremely helpful anytime I needed it (special thanks to Ibra). Lastly, one of the best things was my room. It was really clean and cozy and I loved it.
I would 100% recommend visiting New Mansion House if you ever go to London and you need a great place to stay and meet great people!

A. A.Extended stay in London. Still a resident at New Mansion House. Wanted to give thumbs up to the wonderful staff and volunteers. Caring, immediately responsive. They make the hostel a welcoming home.
As other posters have said, the location, connectivity, transportation can't be beat.
N. D.This is a really clean and recently renovated place, it doesn't feel like a hostel but rather a home. I stayed in a single room and it was cleaned everyday. The community is very welcoming and you don't feel left out. The manager Ibrahim was great and took care of anything that was needed right away by going out of his away. This place is highly recommended and I'll come back again to stay there, if I have an opportunity.
D. K.It's a good place for the price, even if you take a single room. The place is very convenient in terms of any kind of transport availability, and you couldn’t be any closer to the center for this price. The shops are in close proximity as well as Hyde Park, which is perfect if you're into running. The hostel offers breakfast and late dinner which is also convenient if you don’t cook. I'm giving 4 out of 5, only because you have to share bathroom, even with single room.

The staff are nice enough and the hostel is reasonably clean... most of the times, but you do get a few 'idiots' from time to time who try to wreck things for everyone. But, the staff are good and getting them out the door!

c. j.People here are really helpful with any questions you raise. The place is so clean and transportation is so convenient (4 tube stations nearby). You could reach to Tesco, Waitrose and Sainsbury. I have spent wonderful 10 months here. Meals cateen provides are also very delicious. Study room, laundry and bathroom are also very clean! Highly recommend this place to stay!!
J. W.Arrived quite late in the evening due to a last minute booking. Check-in was quick and seamless. Within minutes I was in a clean room for myself with share bathrooms on the same floor. Internet was fast btw.
They staff are nice and quick to process paperwork. They can also guide to the nearby Hyde Park which, btw, is worth a long walk on a decent fall day.

Cons: Dirty cutlery, Lack of a lift (elevator). Taking a shower is the most painful experience: You have to push the shower's valve hundreds of time to take a short shower. Also, the shower's angle is so close to the wall that if you want the water to cover your head/body, you have to stick to the wall like a lizard!
