The room was very comfortable and had block out blinds which made it even better to sleep in!! The front desk staff were friendly as well. The only downfall is that the heater wasn’t working properly, but they offered us with a portable one which did the job just fine. The hotel is located within walking proximity from the metro so it made it easy to venture around

Quirky designed hotel, with helpful and attentive staff and rooms that are clean and deceptively spacious. The rainfall shower was lovely and the big bed is certainly a treat. The only problem (which may be a big deal to some) is that the AC/heating was broken during our stay with only cold air circulating. With the broken heating, it was freezing inside the rooms - certainly a health and safety hazard. Staff did offer extra blankets and small heaters but with the harsh winter weather, the cold conditions couldn’t really be improved much. I had to sleep in my extra jumpers to stay warm, which I find annoying as heating in hotels should an essential aspect of the service. Despite this, the hotel is based in a good location, close to the tube station and only a short journey into central London however the immediate surrounds of the hotel isn’t very glamous at all and can be quite loud. Breakfast was served quickly and was nice - turkey meat made a tasty change from other hotel breakfasts.
Overall it was okay, if it wasn’t for the broken heating I would have rated highly. I would stay again but perhaps in summer…

I had official business in the area and decided to stay at the hotel for this purpose. Its not your typical holiday / premier inn, its quite modern and chic. There is a bar which serves great cocktails and buskers night is quite chilled to listen to. I stayed in the warehouse which was really nice. The hilight was the shower, has about a thousand settings perfect after a long day. It's clean and I liked the smell of the hotel. The staff are very warm and welcoming. I was walking distance from the venue I needed so great location. Its also very near to the station. The blind beggar a historic pub is nearby and also Greg's and sainsburys. All the usual staple take aways are I deliveroo / uber eats.
I was initially disappointed to learn that they limit certain food products in the restaurant as its halal. I don't think this was made clear prior to booking. The turkey breakfast wasn't really my cup of tea. I omitted those products when I had breakfast on most days. There is an option of sweet pastry too and other bits for breakfast which was OK. It was also annoying that I couldn't access an hdmi port to connect my nintendo. The TV is encased in a wooden frame. I found this was a shame that external media can't be connected. The hotel offers a huge tv which would be great to view other stuff on other than freeview.I brought an extension lead for one of the rooms as the socket was away from the bed.
I would recommend this hotel for a stay. The bar in particular has a great selection of drinks for chill night which is cool (happy hour cocktails). I will defo be back. Thanks to the New Road hotel for the warm welcome and great stay

Brand new hotel ,room was small, beds comfy, badly designed wet room. No drawers or wardrobe no coffee or tea in room facilities at end of corridor? Storm eunice effected the heating so room very cold ,but corridirs were warm ?was given a portable fan heater but cable was loose so didn't use it. Very clean but in the wrong area ,very poor surroundings ,dirty and dismal, the hotel put in wrong area shame.

This hotel is so cool! They have a little library, a games room, a workout area with some gym equipment and there's free tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc as much as you want. The rooms I think are called pocket rooms but they are big enough with a big bathroom. The bed was super comfy and there's a TV there too. I loved the decor. I can't lie, when my husband brought me to this area I was a little concerned with the boarded up places but the hotel is sooo nice and the location is decent. We will definitely be staying there again

Rooms and communal spaces are nicely designed and staff were nice. Decent shower, good blackout blind, and not too much noise from corridors or other rooms, but lots of road noise from outside (on a busy road though, so to be expected). Severely let down by how limited the included breakfast is (filter coffee, basic juices, and toast - no fruit or cereals) and how overpriced the restaurant is. Somehow, the breakfast chef managed to make scrambled eggs that were both simultaneously solid and dry, but also oozing water over the plate. Be aware there are no pork products in the breakfast, presumably to keep things Halal - only has turkey sausages - and your baked beans probably won't be that hot.

We had a great short getaway.
Pleasant service, good breakfast and very stylish rooms.
We will be back for sure!
Thanks to all the team :)

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The reception staff couldn't have been more helpful, the room had everything we needed despite being on the small size and they looked after our luggage whilst we explored London before checking in and after checking out. The bar had a happy hour too which is always a bonus!
The only negative I have is the bed. The mattress was on the firm side which may suit others more. It was also a bit awkward being penned in on one side but I understand that is to make the most of the space. It wasn't enough to detract from an otherwise great hotel stay.
R. T.
It's a nice hotel but The heating was broken and the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night two nights in a row. But the staff where good and the rooms where clean
H.
Lovely hotel, staff are very helpful and welcoming. Rooms are cosy and the hotel has an industrial feel to it. Breakfast was delicious. I booked the pocket room as it was my first time visiting but I definitely will be getting a bigger room next time. Free coffee and tea machines were great, and the games room has a pool table which we played a few times. Definitely will be visiting again! (Really annoyed I didn’t take photos of the room :(
L. B.
From initial greet at the reception to checking out this hotel was fantastic. All the staff are lovely & very helpful. The rooms are very spacious & well equipped. We especially liked the pool table on the 1st floor & the breakfast was great too. Not a single negative thing to say about this place. Looking forward to returning in the future.
Many thanks
K. B.
Went there for my birthday. Food is definitely good. Enjoyed my meal. Will do go again.
G. A.
Stayed there for a few nights with breakfast included, the breakfast was fantastic, they know what they’re doing in that kitchen.
Only issue I have is the actual room as there was dust by the window and the paint job was a bit shotty other than that, it was a great value.
Will definitely be going back if I’m in Whitechapel and getting food from the in house restaurant!!
D. F.
Lovely hotel, modern industrial feel. Staff were very welcoming. Had a small double and the room was excellent. Had a large wet room style bathroom which was lovely - however, given the size of the room I'd ensure that you're comfortable with the bathroom habits of your partner 😬 or at least be prepared to turn a tap on while you tinkle etc. 🤣
Loved the free pool table / games room and that there's free tea & coffee machine on each floor. Free exercise area on the top floor.
Ate in the bar area from Mr Whites Chophouse and the food was great. Bar / lounge area was well designed, furnished and had a great ambiance. Was right up my street! Would happily return. Price for a small double was excellent value.
M. L.
Very under-rated hotel. Rooms, including in the standard category, are much more spacious than average and are very well thought out. Industrial / NYC loft vibes.
E. N.
Great place to work from. I have been working from the New Road Hotel for the last couple of weeks. The staff has been amazing, welcoming and helpful. Great team!
L. M.
Really clean, friendly & comfortable hotel. Staff were lovely and the bed was huge. Would reccomend to anyone staying in the area.
M. E.
No heating, electric fan in room only but it coped. It's a decent enough place in a central location for East london I will stay again, decent price
S. T.
Very central, comfortable an quiet. The team is very helpful and will make your stay much easier
H. S.
The best little spot for a city break. Such a refreshing design and the staff really make it. Doina was a lovely breakfast waitress, remembering I take oat milk with my coffee before I had to ask and Marius really took care of our table at dinner! Will stay again.
S. M.
Fantastic hotel, great location. Very close to Whitechapel tube station and also easy walking distance to various areas/places. The staff at the reception were really friendly and helpful. The room was very modern and clean. Will definitely stay here again when I next visit London
E. H.
Great hotel, comfy compact rooms, friendly staff and a stones throw from all sorts of great food.

Best stay 👍amazing staff, breakfasts was fantastic and best blue cheese 🍔 ❤️

There is a vindictive and inaccurate review about this hotel, ignore it.
The hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from Whitechapel tube station which is on the District and Hammersmith lines. The tube is direct from Paddington, King's Cross and Victoria.
The hotel has a ground floor restaurant, a bar a seating area with tables, it is a spacious area.
The breakfast, which was included on my booking through Booking.com, had four choices, a large McDonald's type bun with sausages, egg, bacon and potatoes, served on a plank and paper, good taste but I would have preferred a plate as the paper sticks to the bun.
The Continental has a large croissant, yoghurt, muesli, jam, butter and an apple, served on a plate. My wife liked it a lot.
It then had two strange choices, pancake stack with maple syrup and turkey strips or something with sour dough! Obviously for those across the water.
There is also tea, coffee and orange juice.
Our room was large enough, clean, plenty of light, with twin beds, large rain shower and big TV.
My only complaint: There was no place to unpack your stuff, no wardrobe, no drawers, no cubby holes, no place to put your bag except the floor. It meant you had to keep riffling through your bag on the floor while your stuff tipped out on the floor, I found this uncivilised and would be painful for elderly people with hip or back problems. You could hang some stuff by the mirror on the few hangers provided.
The staff were really nice and helpful.
This is an excellent hotel for a short break to visit London. It is in Jack the Ripper territory, plenty of shops and restaurants.
They just need to sort out some room storage and somewhere off the floor to access your bag.
N. C.
Staff were very helpful and rooms were very comfy. Will be staying again
A. F.
Nice hotel, great welcome and good service. 👍

I stayed for a few days during the COVID lockdown, and felt very safe. It's not your usual chain hotel, having a very industrial feel, which I liked. Apparently my room was on the quieter side of the hotel, and was very quiet, other than the occasional sirens. (The hotel is very conveniently located for the Royal London Hospital.) The room was very comfortable and the free hot drinks machines on each floor were actually better for me than having a kettle in the room, as there never seems to be enough milk or tea bags. Unfortunately, because of the lockdown, the catering facilities were mostly closed, so I can't comment on them. (There was a takeaway breakfast option, but I didn't make use of it.) I'm looking forward to being able to visit again when restrictions have been lifted and I can experience everything the hotel has to offer.

Don't usually leave reviews but I had to for this.
As soon as we entered the staff were warm and welcoming. Loved the decor style of the hotel.
The room itself seemed small but the layout made perfect use of its size, the bathroom was great to use. The bed was a good size as well.
During the times my partner took a while getting ready I made full use of the games room located on the 1st floor.
Small distance from nearest underground but a small price to pay to be able to get around London.
The restaurant downstairs was perfect, the service was brilliant and attentive. The food was good and filling as well.
Overall our stay was brilliant and would definitely come back to stay again.
l. k.
Amazing hotel. The staff are very helpful. On arrival the staff were very polite and provided me with all the information I needed. The staff always had a smile on their face which goes a long way! When I walked in the first thing I noticed was the decor. Very nice and retro. The furniture catches your eye! I stayed in the loft bedroom and it was amazing. My first impression was wow! Comfy/cosy bed with a spa bathroom
Waterfall shower and Jacuzzi was the highlight of my bedroom! The terrace was very big with seating area. Perfect for a summer night. Had dinner at Mr Whites restaurant which is located ground floor of the hotel. Seating area is very retro and comfortable. Had a view of the kitchen which was nice as you get to see the chefs prepare food. Lighting was just perfect- perfect for a romantic date! Food was delicious. Compliments to the chef. Overall my stay was amazing I had an amazing time and I would definitely come back here!
A. M.
Lovely hotel, great staff! Coming back again soon!
R. F.
This hotel was lovely! the staff were super friendly and very welcoming. We stayed in one of the quiet pocket rooms and it was so nice to be able to relax and not hear anything from the street or other rooms. The only issue was the bed was hard and struggled to sleep a little but that's a little thing compared to how lovely it was. One thing, in particular, my partner and I loved were the different lights in the room it really gave nice options for how you like it and the shower was amazing. Rooms were checked and cleaned to a great standard. If you want to stay in the hotel there are a lot of things you can do, there is a games room and a library so you wouldn't be short on entertainment.
Super close to the underground which made it easy to get around. The food at the restaurant was amazing, particularly the fries! and would come back again and would highly recommend it.
T. W.
Very nice, chic hotel. Restaurant is very good, although if you book a table through reception the price is a lot better. Staff are very helpful. Tea and coffee facilities on every floor, and a games room, ironing room and sun deck are available. Will visit again!
D. W.
For the price, this hotel is excellent value. No complaints. Everything exceeded my expectations. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Quite a few nice touches like games room with pool table and arcade machine (both free to use), library and a nice restaurant. If you're looking for a good value place to stay in the area, you certainly won't be disappointed with the New Road Hotel.
M. T.
Great hotel! Very friendly staff, good food.
A. K.
A lovely hotel in a hidden part of east London, within close reach of Shoreditch. Feels as if it’s in a quiet location, very little noise and a great nights sleep. Great coffee and a handy library for working in without being disturbed. Employees were helpful, friendly and informative. I’ll definitely be coming back!
M. T.
Nice rooms. Price A little bit expensive according to the rooms. Overall good experience
A. N.
The hotel is decent there the room was lush .
My blind wasn't working properly so they fixed for me though.
I have to say I wasn't happy with one staff member's there attitude as its was very harshly toned towards me when I arrived and my friend was waiting for me downstairs noticed she wasn't friendly to a person of colour, she needs to sort it out cause it will not work well in Whitechapel as its place of people of colour and we talk as well too apart from thats everyone on the staff was wonderful and beautifully professional too .
Please keep an eye out for Daniel he is the one cause he will help you out on alot of things .
s.
Excellent stay, loved the games room. 5stars breakfast and dinner.
J. C.
Fantastic hotel in a great location with a very modern and sleek feel. The breakfast is very nice and you have a good selection. The beds are comfortable and big enough the rooms are very clean and there is enough room. There is a nice shower and the games room and library are a very nice touch there is a roof terrace and hot tub. Very close to Whitechapel tube station and the atmosphere is warm and friendly from all of the staff.
B.
Our stay was amazing throughout, and I cannot wait to come back.
The hotel is very close to the Whitechapel underground station, which is a great perk.
From the moment we entered the building and until the moment we left - we were greeted with smiles, knowledge, understanding and support.
The Room we were given was right on top of the street, and because of the hotel's proximity to a hospital, sirens would fill the room all day long and prevented sleep from our eyes. When we talked about the issue with the reception, they immediately moved us to another room, which was much, much better.
The rooms are beautiful, perfectly designed, and filled with thought.
Each floor has a special theme (library, games, and I forgot the third one) with a room dedicated to it, and a free hot drinks machine.
All equipment in the rooms is modern and nice, and the bed design from wall to wall is just pure genius.
The hotel has a 24-7 reception desk that's willing to help with any questions and issue, including reception of letters and packages even before the stay.
Also, the hotel kindly let us keep our bags in a storage unit after our check out, while waiting to leave to the airport.
The hotel restaurant is very delicious and fairly priced, and every now and then there's a nice event happening in the lobby.
New Road has everything you need, and nothing you don't. This is THE hotel for the modern man.
K. A.
I am fully recommended this hotel and realy you can notice the difference from the other hotels. Good service; Good location; Good food; and before all of these An excellent price.
I would like to add to my previous review; To be honest I forgot to include it; I would like to send a millions of thanks to the hotel staff, the room service staff, the restaurant staff, and especial thanks to welcome desk staff for their an outstanding performance; the way on how they are communicating with their customers; it showing their professionally. Thank you again.

Yo, I'm loving this place. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice, clean and I like the free brew machines on each landing. This place is an absolute beast as a deliveroo location.
D. S.
It's lovely. My only complaint: the vegan breakfast is a bit bland and unexciting (although what do you expect from Marco Pierre Bland?)
T. C.
This hotel is really close to Whitechapel tube station and therefore, it’s easy to get into central London. It is really stylish and the library and games room are a really nice and cozy touch and the receptionists were very welcoming. However, there, the positives end. The room was absolutely tiny (probably our fault as we should have read the description properly) and the bathroom not very well designed as everything gets wet when showering. If that was the only thing at fault, we could easily have coped. The worst issue was cleanliness in certain areas. Overall, the room and bathroom were clean. However, the whole room smelled funny, possibly because it was damp, and it was noticeable as soon as you walk in. The duvet covers had holes in them which would not have been too bad had at least the duvet inside been clean. The duvet had lots of visible disgusting brown stains on it. When we complained at reception and asked for the duvet to be exchanged, they just put an extra one into our room which had even more brown stains on it! The hotel has a lot of potential but they should really do something about these issues.
G. D.
We enjoyed our stay! Was worried about it being noisy but we didn’t have any issues.
The only downsides were ;
-Not having tea/coffee facilities in our room. They have stations on each floor but they coffee is instant and the tea comes with powdered milk.
- The bathroom is more of a wet room, when you take a shower the whole room gets wet. There is no lock on the door and the frosted glass is basically see through. Not an issue for us but I can imagine it could be inconvenient
The location was good, staff were very helpful and the lobby is a good place to chill!
C. Q.
Had a night stay during the bank holiday last August. Check in was quick and staff at front desk was friendly. I liked the urban bare brick theme in the hotel. The room we had was the standard classic room. The use of space is clever and the double bed was comfortable and spacious. Considering it’s simple theme we had lots of hanging space and also a small table and chair with mirror. There was also a large TV. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Was a little weirded out by the glass panels and door that separate the bedroom and the bathroom, it also was directly facing the bed. A little disruptive to others sleeping If you have to use bathroom at night (when turning on light). Also the shower does not have separation to the rest of the bathroom / toilet sink area and the floor tends to get wet. Not a problem though, would just depend on personal preferences. The hotel has interesting rooms on each floor like ironing stations, library study area and games areas. The hotel also has Mr Whites English Chophouse on the ground floor, which I hear gets booked up for dinner reservations quickly. The restaurant also serves breakfast at a set price £13 each which includes choices of a menu cooked fresh and a help yourself area for coffee, juices, breads and pastries. The pancakes are yummy! I wish I took more pics. The hotel is situated near Whitechapel station. Really great location if exploring London.

Had a great one-night stay on my last business trip to London. Great modern design. All staff were great and helpful. Location is very convenient for my office in the City, just 3 stops on the underground or 25 minutes’ walk. One of the best beds I ever slept in, even overslept the next morning because it was so comfortable. Missed breakfast, but they offer me brunch instead. Will definitely be back

Myself and my husband came to stay as we were celebrating our birthdays and we were going to watch a concert at the Olympic stadium. Great location as only 2 minutes walk from Whitechapel station. Really lovely hotel, very comfortable room (307), really clean and everything you need, the bed was really comfortable (it was a firm mattress, which we prefer) . We came back to our room to find a lovely chocolate cake with happy birthday written on the plate, a really lovely surprise! The shower was amazing and lovely toiletries although no shampoo and conditioner, so make sure you bring some!
Staff really friendly and helpful, it wasn't the quickest service in the bar/restaurant but the food was really tasty. All in all a great hotel and I'd definitely recommend a stay!
S. R.
I’ve stayed at many hotels from 5* to 3* hotels, and I have to say that, hands down, this is the best, most cosiest and inviting/welcoming hotel I’ve been to. It’s very fairly priced, and I’ve stayed at realy expensive hotels too. I was greeted with a card and cake in my room saying “Welcome Mr Rahman”! It gave me such a homely feel, which I have never experienced while not being at my own home!
The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. They have a “Mr Whites Chophouse” from the very gentleman that taught Gordon Ramsey all he knows in the kitchen! They have a bar area and also have a cereal section! Seating and atmosphere is very cosy and inviting... the kind of place where you can just relax with friends or even meet someone to talk business! They also have a meeting room. Every floor has a unique surprise too. They have a games room (my favourite), a library and even a yoga space with excellent roof top view!
The room I stayed in had an indoor hot tub, which was glasses off from the room it’s self and also the balcony which was on the roof. It was very private, as no other buildings are near enough to see you, but have the feeling as if you where open and free! You can always close the blinds if you’re not comfortable with that open feeling. The receptionist told me that the room next door had an outdoor hot tub! I definitely have to visit again to check that room out!
I would like to thank the staff for giving me such a warm welcome and looking after me during my stay at the hotel. I am very much looking forward to my next visit, indeed!
Z.
The small room was bigger than expected and the waterfall shower was great. Highlight of the room was definitely the Hypno bed, comfiest bed I've ever slept on. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee machines on each floor was very convenient. Games room even had a retro fighting game, lots of fun.
The only downside of the property was the surrounding area. It was very noisy at night and the surrounding area was not very nice. Luckily there was an underground station a few minutes walk from the hotel, so the rest of London was easily accessible.
N. P.
Based in a former textiles factory, as soon as you enter the New Road Hotel you know you have entered a trendy and hip hotel. The check in process was straight forward and fuss free. A refundable deposit of £50 is required for any incidental charges. The lifts are operated by the room key card. As soon as I walked into my room I was greeted by a huge bed! The room was of a good size. It featured a 49 inch Samsung Smart TV, wall to wall Hypnos bed, USB charger points, UK and international plugs, dressing table with hanging space for clothes and a safe. The frosted glass wall bathroom featured a rain shower, heated mirror and designer toiletries. The room is minimalistic, New York apartment style with exposed brickwork and wooden flooring. It had everything you need, and if reception needed to be contacted then they were a simple What App message away as the room has no phone. There is no kettle in the room but there are free hot drinks machine located in each floor, as well as ironing boards are located on floor 3. I had the best ever sleep as the room was totally dark thanks to blackout blinds and the room was totally soundproof.
Each floor has something going on ie on floor 1 there is the games room – which includes a pool table and a freeplay retro arcade machine - and a reasonable priced snack machine, floor 2 features a library/study area, floor 3 has the ironing boards and on the 4th floor there is the yoga area and roof terrace.
I really like how the owners of the hotel have tried to keep many original features including original fire doors have been restored, wooden flooring, exposed brick walls, original burglar alarm bells. This keeps the history and heritage of the hotel.
The hotel lobby hosts a breakfast cereal café, coffee bar, a bar and a Marco Pierre White chophouse restaurant. Breakfast each morning is served in the restaurant where there is a continental buffet spread and hot food to be ordered from the a la carte menu. I went for the veggie breakfast and it was totally delicious, it was served in a hot dish to ensure the temperature of the food remains hot. The portion was enough to get me started for the day ahead.
All in all, this is a fantastic trendy hotel with plenty of character, cool vibes and friendly staff. It certainly fits perfectly well with the Shoreditch image.

I am currently staying at this hotel. I love my double room and the decor. My breakfast was lovely. Only thing I would suggest is some staff training. I can't imagine the staff at breakfast are the same as the ones that run the restaurant as I don't think they would stay in business.
I got down for breakfast around 9am which fair enough is a busy time. The lady at the counter was clearly busy fixing a problem. I stood there for ages waiting to be spoken to and then when she finally did she pointed me to a table and said she would come and see me. She didn't come back. Bare in mind this is my first morning in the hotel, no greeting whatsoever. And I didn't have a clue where to go or anything. I finally had to go up to ask someone by the kitchen what I was meant to be doing. This was after I had helped myself to drinks. I think she asked for my room number, I had to ask her what was included in the breakfast (as I had paid to include breakfast). She gave me a menu. The pancakes were lovely when they arrived.
It seems that there are a lot of different staff running around, most of them quite young that are following different orders and none of them are thinking about the customer at all. One family complained next to me. I only hope that tomorrow will be an improvement.
The reception staff have booked me a taxi when needed and doing the best they can.
Your very much booking in here to be independent. I just think a quality hotel like this should have staff that are little more attentive to the customer.

Love this place. The standard rooms are on the small side but fully functional. The suites have private outdoor terraces and are perfect for couples. The bed and furnishings are sytlish and comfortable. The in room heating and cooling system works great. The in-house restaurant and coffee shop provide all the comforts of home. The staff are accomdating, polite, and friendly. Great, modern hotel on the Eastside of London.
A. S.
Great, well thought out hotel. Love the concept rooms, almost pod like, but better. Huge top of the range beds, great use of small spaces with amazing shower/wet rooms. A games room, library and ironing room in common spaces make for a sociable stay, as well as great bar and Marcos Chop House! I hope the hotel does really well, it's in a very changing area.
C.
Really nice hotel with clean, nice boutique rooms. Friendly staff and good value for money. Now let's talk about breakfast. Why serve it in a dog bowl. I just want my food on a plate. The bowl was roasting hot and 2 people in my party burnt their fingers. You can't eat it properly. Sort this out and you have a winning combination.
M. E.
Walking past me and my girlfriend noticed the lovely looking bar and went in for a drink where we we had some very well made cocktails! We had comfortable chairs and the staff were very friendly and to top off the experience we came in on a day of the week where they have a live musician playing in the bar which created a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I'll be sure to book a room here in the future!
M. L.
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel! The room was a cosy nest, the breakfast not too typically English (:D), and we also appreciated the possibility of free coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Stylish, young, colourful, well-designed - we really rocommend this hotel especially to young people and couples!
E. M.
Nice hotel, good use of space. Although rooms fairly small perfectly minimalist. Absolutely loved the wet room in our room the only negative for this hotel was the bar staff who ignored us at he bar for a while, then took our order and took a long time to give us our drinks then walked off when we were waiting to pay. Would stay here again
A. G.
A very 'hipster' hotel that you could easily walk past. Room minimalistic but has everything that you need. Vending machine for hot drinks on each floor. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very attentive to Covid guidelines.
D. K. C.
Lovely hotel, very clean, very friendly staff. Great food and wine selection. It's a hip boutique hotel. Rooms are a little small but just perfect. We loved the giant three sided bed and the shower bathroom. Highly recommend. A gem in the middle of Whitechapel!
J. I.
I booke a deluxe room and was happy from check in to check out. The room wasn’t huge but the space furnished to perfection. The big king bed was like a huge couch taking more than a third of the room.
The hotel used to be a factory for clothes which means that the design of the rooms and public areas is a mix of industrial/vintage. It’s very well done.
There is a library on floor 2 and a iron room on the 3rd floor. You can iron your stuff there or grab one of the iron boards and go back to your room to get your shirts etc. in shape.
Food in the restaurant is excellent. It's fresh and mostly organic. The double shot cappuccino is one of the best I've ever had in London.
The staff was a delight. Very welcoming and friendly. It seems that everybody working at the New Road does it with real passion.
I will come back again for sure.

Cool hotel, great location.
Building is a converted warehouse with industrial style fittings and features in the rooms and throughout.
Big comfy beds, decent showers.
