s. h.AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE THANK YOU! I ordered 2 pizzas online via Just Eat. The pizzas arrived ruined, because the delivery driver had put them in his back pack upside down, They were mangled, and stuck to the box. The cheese was even coming out of the box, and got stuck all over my door mat when the delivery boy dumped them there. I rang the restaurant to alert them as to what had happened. The manager was so apologetic and to my surprise he DROVE 2 NEW PIZZAS TO MY HOUSE IN HIS OWN CAR AND HAND-DELIVERED THEM (and i live a good 40 minutes drive away in a car). I cannot believe how kind this was of him, and i will be forever grateful. Oh and just to add, the pizzas tasted DELICIOUS! I would highly recommend the food here and the customer service I received is just beyond incredible. Thank you SO SO SO much!
S.Very basic room, get what you pay for. The bathroom was very small. Take refreshments for the room if you want more than one coffee or tea. They dont provide cold drinks in the room, but there is a bar downstairs.
Only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Camden.
Handy if you just want to get your head down for the night.
Staff were friendly though, and the bed was quite comfy.
L. G. (.Have stayed here 2 times now. Fair price for what they offer. Rooms are not very big or fancy but they are cheap and the location is good. The beds are comfortable enough and warm water in shower and sink.
The pub downstairs was closed due to Covid-19 at the time, but they offered take away so we had our meals in room. Not too many choices in the menu, but the food is amazing. Fresh and tastes really good.
Totally recommend this place if you need a hotel or a pub 🙂

C. W.A lovely little place to have a friendly few drinks. Staff were helpful and we also stayed in the rooms upstairs. These were cheap but a good standard for what we paid there. Good location and easy to locate. On the main bus routes into Camden.

A. D.We work nearby and went for a lunch here today. The food was traditional pub grub but of a good standard and reasonably priced. The pizza dough was delicious and the burgers seems to be hand made, as are the chips, and not at all greasy. Nice relaxed place and the staff were friendly. When they accidently brought my colleague regular chips instead of sweet potato fries, they realised and instead of removing the regular chips, they just quickly brought a bowl of sweet potato fries. S. K. P.Thank you so much! I booked 3 rooms here for my birthday and they made me feel really special! Location was perfect, 1 min walk from EGG London and 5 mins by bus to Camden (which explains the price). Management was extremely patient with my group of friends constantly coming in and out of the hotel, at random hours throughout the night. I will definitely be booking again soon!
c. k.Pleasant stay, room was large and cosy hotel. Shower wouldn't get hot but was luke warm so not a massive deal. Pub looked nice, unfortunately didn't get to have a drink in it as it shut so early on the Sunday. Would stay again if visiting Camden (:
J.Management was extremely patient and friendly! We were out with a group of friends and he worked the whole night and dealt really well with letting us in, and spent the night keeping things in check. Rooms were good and there was no curfew - also the location was very convenient!
S. S.We had read several not-so-great reviews, so we were a bit nervous going into our stay here. However, we were pleasantly surprised! The room was small, but not impossibly so, and was relatively comfortable. My only real complaint:we never had hand soap of any kind!
24 hour check-in was a live saver (our flight in was delayed, and we didn't arrive until almost midnight! The part of town wasn't beautiful, but we never felt unsafe. Overall, the price was a bit steep, but we were satisfied with our stay.
Would not recommend for the elderly or anyone with mobility struggles--steep steps and narrow hallways.
C. D.I stay here quite often on business for a week at a time and I'm always happy to come back, mainly because of the very convenient location for the price, plus the good food.
The bedrooms are quite small, could be fine for a couple, but definitely ample for 1. The only real con is the road noise, which can go all night, but a couple of ear plugs sorts me fine.
Breakfast is ok, nothing special, but has all the basics you would expect.
The restaurant food however, is very good. Brazilian style foods but with a few pub classics to keep everyone happy. Set in a local pub atmosphere which makes a comfortable atmosphere for someone on a solo business trip. Even have the footy on!
I wouldn't recommend this place for a relaxing night away to celebrate your wedding anniversary, but if convenience to the surrounding area is what you're after, this place is much better than the rest in the area that I've tried.

Why not 5 stars? One reason, TERRIBLE music selection! For no discernable reason, lame US country music or soft rock is played at a fairly loud volume. It's bloody awful and really detracts from what is otherwise a very nice dining experience. Either play classic rock, British classic rock (even better), blues, current alternative rock (e.g. The National, Foals, etc.) or just turn the music off!
S.This exceeded our expectations for the price! Modern, clean rooms (we booked two singles, one for myself and one for my Dad). Ensuite shower rooms with shampoo, soap and shower gel provided. The radiators could be controlled by us which is a big bonus in my book!
Flatscreen TVs with freeview, quiet rooms (ours were not directly above the pub). Nice view on the top floor if you like London :)
We didn't sample the breakfast nor the food so cannot comment, but it did look good! The service was fine, we checked in and out and did not require anything else. We did have a little trouble finding the reception, as it was situated at the back of the pub, but nothing major to complain about. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to friends as it's exactly what we needed for a night out in the Capital.
D. B.Stumbled upon this place by accident and it was great! Legit don't understand why there's so many bad reviews, cus I only decided to read them AFTER I'd already booked a room lol, so I was a bit hesitant and worried, but when I actually showed up, I was pleasantly surprised! Really cheerful and patient staff, fantastic price for the location, considering the time of year. Extremely close to the club, LITERALLY a 1 minute walk so it's perfect for a night out. IMO this is a budget hotel/bnb, so I don't get why people are complaining that it's not posh enough for them.
So if you're looking for a friendly bargain somewhere near to King's Cross and Camden, I honestly can't rate this place highly enough. If you cba to walk, there's several bus stops literally right outside. Glad I found this absolute gem!
D. M.Fairly nice pub. Clean toilets. The sound quality for live music wasn't the best, at least on the night I was there, which seems a pity with Tile Yard Studios being so close. Bartenders are very friendly, however. There's also fresh popcorn.

F.I have been to this place on more than one occasion and found the experience to be fantastic, staff where very accommodating and the food was just incredible (nothing like usual pub food from a microwave). I would definitely recommend this venue and hotel. Also just to add its in a great location for connections to the city or outer London.
V. E.My brother and I stayed at Newmarket house for two nights after having escaped a quite terrifying Couchsurfing experience followed by a hostel that wasn´t the best either. Even though Newmarket house wasn´t more expensive than any of the hostels we had looked at (even in rooms shared with other people) it was more hotel-like than we had expected. At the beginning we were quite confused when we checked in in the bazilian-styled bar and were shown the way to our room which was not in the same building but two doors apart. The room itself was small but still offered enough space for a double bed (with a perfectly comfortable matress), a wardrobe and a bit of floor where we put our bags on. What really surprised us was that we even had a flat TV and although we would never have looked for a room with a TV we found it quite nice to watch britisch TV at night. The bathroom was small as well but the little space was perfectly used directly accessible from the bedroom. It was comfortably warm in there and it even had a rain shower where we spent long minutes under after having come back from town and being totally frozen. The window beside the bedroom could actually be opened and closed which is not a self-evident thing in London as we have had to experience before.
The breakfast is between 7-9 and offers a variety of continental food, juices, tea and coffee to choose. I would personally have preferred English breakfast but I cannot complain about what we got.
The staff was very friendly but except for the guy at the reception we didn´t notice any of them but our towels were changed and our bed was made on a daily basis. At the last day we left our luggage there and came back at night to pick it up. Since we had some waiting time until departure of our bus to the airport we asked whether we could stay there in the warm. We even got a heater beside us because he figured out that we were a little cold (it was more due to the fact that we were tired not due to the temperature in the lobby/bar) and he talked to us a lot and helped us find a night bus to where the airport transfer leaves.
In that night I promised that I would recommend the hostel to my friends and I though online would reach more people therefore I´m writing this now.
Also to mention it is easily accessible by public transport with Caledonian Road and Camden Town Station being away ten minutes walking distance and lots of busses leaving just in front of the door.

L. D.Fantastic place, near Camden, very clean and confortable rooms, we have room for 3 persons, smart bathroom, nice breakfast (and they heat meal at the night for us!). Camden is 15 mins walking, bear are bikes for free, bus stops are perfect, 18 mins from London bridge, fully recomended! Terrace for smoking, and coffe and tea in room, everything was perfect for us, include cheap price.
P. G.Barely "OK" for £55 in London and for one night. I wouldn't have wanted to do two as it's noisey, so have a few drinks at the Lincoln Lounge (15mins walk towards KX) before bed.

Небольшой отель, милейший приветливый и отзывчивый персонал. В пусть и небольшой комнате оборудовано всё необходимое, качественная уборка, удобная кровать. Без дополнительной платы предоставили ранний заезд и хранение чемодана после выезда. Отличное расположение, близко как до ценра, так и до вокзала Kings Cross. Рядом продуктовый магазин, кафе и остановки автобусов. За небольшие деньги отличное предложение с хорошим сервисом и расположенинем.

The room was simple but adequate with a clean shower and toilet, desk, and beds (a double and a single) suitable (not suitable for overweight people as thin mattresses). No air conditioning but a fan. A small TV high with many channels. Window overlooking a small courtyard a bit abandoned but still nice because clear without real vis-à-vis for the room I had). In the end: satisfied with my stay and I will not hesitate to return.

Séjour très sympa, réceptionnistes 24h/24 tous adorables, quartier calme et agréable, arrêt de bus à 2 min à pied, supérette Sainsbury juste à coté. La chambre était simple mais convenable avec une douche et WC propre, un bureau, et des lits (un double et un simple) convenables (pas adaptés à des personnes en surpoids car matelas peu épais). Pas de climatisation mais un ventilateur. Une petite télévision en hauteur avec de nombreuses chaînes. Fenêtre avec vue sur une petite cour un peu abandonnée mais quand même agréable car dégagée sans réel vis-à-vis pour la chambre que j'ai eu). Au final : satisfait de mon séjour et je n'hésiterai pas à y retourner.

Optimal für den Kurztrip, in die tollste Stadt der Welt.
Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, aber wer ist denn viel im Zimmer 🤔 Super nah an Camden😍 Bus fährt vor der Tür. Sehr nette Personal. Tolles Bier und gutes Essen. Waren schon 3 mal hier. Ist halt sehr einfach, reicht uns aber völlig. Man ist hier mitten drin.😁

Das Hotel ist zweckmäßig und sauber, schreit aber nach einer Renovierung. Ein Fenster nach hinten raus verschafft einem den wenig schönen Anblick des Hinterhofs einer Häuserreihe, dafür ist kaum Straßenlärm zu hören, bis auf die sehr lauten Sirenen von Rettungskräften und Polizei.
Der Pub unten ist ganz ok, allerdings ist alles nur einfach verglast und es zieht an manchen Tischen.
