D. G.I liked it, and I’d recommend it but there are a few spots that could be improved. There’s nothing wrong with the staff but they’re just doing their job, they’re not especially welcoming or nice, not bad, just meh... (apart from a young lady that’s usually in the reception). Cards are not accepted to pay for your stay (there’s a cash point really close but it’s another tiny annoyance). None of the hairdryers were working, and the kitchen was just the minimum to be expected, slightly under maybe. On the bright side it’s in a cool area, nice views (that depends obviously in your room), only four in the room (the same here), clean and quiet. I’d go back if needed.
S. W.What makes a place for me is the people. Marie and Nikolay behind the bar/reception were awesome and the people I met in the hostel were great. So I loved it.
For £9 what it offers is incredible. You get a bed, bathroom and kitchen. And having the hostel integrated with the pub/bar makes it a great place to hang out.
Will be returning I have no doubt.
e. i.Its got a really nice old school pub kinda vibe, it's pretty quiet and it doesn't have a pool table so I'm not sure about coming here just to hang out, but definitely worth coming down if you're staying at the hostel, service is super nice and you can genuinely enjoy yourself. So definitely come down and grab a drink sometime. Maybe meet the super diverse clientele attracted by londons cheapest hostel and make a few Aquintences! I'm sure you'll get some awesome stories!
J. S.Beware the ratings, they give a free pint for a good rating. Honestly you get a bit what you pay for. Good for a night or two. Not bad and cheap. In badish neighborhood and a little bit of a journey to town but good for the money. My brother stayed in a different room ( I was in all girls dorm and HIGHLY recommend if traveling alone here as there were a few creepy guys here) and said it was unbearably hot as it was on the top floor.
J. E.It was a lovely and very affordable place to stay considering it's London. Shared a room with 7 other guys, no one touched anyone's property. Never had to use the kitchen so I can't say much on there. Toilets and bathrooms okay though I think the water turns cold quickly so you might want to rush it up🤷♂️. At least you know now.
I recommend it for everyone. I'll use them again if I have to, no hesitations.

The hostel is cleaned daily even though some travellers leave piles of dishes unwashed, which is frustrating for us guests & for the cleaners. If you stay here, be considerate of others & the cleaners. I highly recommend this hostel, all staff are super helpful & hard working. I will gladly return.

I.Staff are friendly and are helpful at all times, great location with alot of stores nearby, the place is also close to Finsbury Park, cleaners come in everyday, there's a pub on the ground floor if you fancy some football and drinks, and finally it is affordable. The only downside is that the wifi signals can be a mess if you're staying on the top floor.
M. L. (.It's a decent hostel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Leta, she did my check in and check out. Although the hostel is a bit 'worn out' due to the circulation of guests and needs a bit of TLC 😅, it is clean and has everything you need, a bed with bedding, shared showers and toilets, a little kitchen with lots of pans and cutlery to use, induction hob (4 spots), microwave/oven, toaster, 4 big fridge/freezers. Conveniently, there is a pub on the ground floor. Friendly people (usually, lol). Just one thing that really should be taken into consideration: for the size of the dorm I was in, there should be a way bigger window. In the summer periods, the air gets stale/stuffy very easily and it can get stinky. 👀 The only thing that kinda worked was leaving the door a bit opened (it can't be all the way, since it's fire door) while someone was in the room.
t. w.Good value for money. Shared bathroom and kitchen was cleaned daily. I stayed in the 6 person mixed dorm and the heating didn't work on the first day. But after I raised the matter with the reception (about 3 times) it was rectified. It's not the Ritz so a bit of patience will go a long way.
M. L.Could be cleaner. Place needs a bit of TLC, proper clean & maybe a paint job. The kitchen has a tonne of amenities: microwave, kettle, fridge, etc. Ironing board available. Price was great. Pub downstairs is simultaneously convenient and a bit noisy (depending on level you stay at). Staff were lovely. Lots of shops available in the area, and a short walk to the tube station. Can't beat it for the price.
C. C.I had a generally great experience staying here. It was the middle of summer and extremely hot in the sleeping areas. I actually bought a fan just for my stay because there isn't one in the rooms. There is a bar attached which brings some locals around, be a smart traveler and you'll be fine. I didn't like the constant party atmosphere that circulated the place. Bring your own towel and some shower shoes because rentals aren't available. It's close to the Victoria line if you're using the tube to get around the area; there's also a small 24 hour grocery store on the same block. It's an overall relaxed hostel, if you want to sleep at night I do recommend considering another place to stay. The most quiet I observed was during the day and you'll usually have a light on. If there wasn't a bar attached and the lack of fans I'd come back for another go with the place.
B. G.This hostel is very good for its price. The staff are friendly and they run fairly efficiently. The location is pretty great and there is a bus just outside that goes straight to Kings Cross station. There are some nice shops nearby if you need some fresh fruit and veg. The rooms are kept clean and the kitchen is adequate. My only issues are the showers. The plumbing needs to be looked at as the water pressure and heat of the showers constantly change going from scalding hot to freezing cold in seconds. Also they play Adam Levine on repeat in the pub which I feel is a form a cruel and unusual torture, but it's not so bad because there is a pharmacy right outside that can help alleviate Levinitis with paracetamol and earplugs.
R. G.Lovely place! I would highly recommend it. I'm a young female who was traveling alone and I had a blast and make a few friends even. One of the guys who works there, Gergo (young good looking guy) was spectacular to me and made my trip to London excellent. He knows the area well too. I know when I was there he was going back and forth between no. 8 and some other hostel in the same company but please keep him at no. 8. If I ever go back to London I'm staying there again. I miss it already!
Also the hostel has a bar and a kitchen so you can make your own food and also drink without going out (or pre-game to go out). The staff is great and it's close to 2 underground (subway) stations as well.
It's also one of the cleaner hostels I've come across in my travels. Great place! I would highly recommend!

Basic set up- cheap bunks and bedding, a basic kitchen (only the microwave and kettle works properly), bathrooms are not super well maintained but are homey and work, but there is a lovely community of people from all over the world who stay here, so friends are all around. Not a peaceful stay for a fussy tourist, great for socialites ready to throw themselves into London life at a low cost

Wifi didn't work top floor. All in all it was worth it. Funky rotting wood and stuff in corners and window sils, but who really cares? You didn't come to a hostel to inspect window sils.

Nice pub downstairs, with a lively crowd of regular locals mixed with the typical young travellers you find in hostels. 1 pool table and darts board. Pints and bottles are cheap but average quality, nothing to write home about. Would like to see pale ales, ruby ales, IPA's etc.
I have stayed in a 6 and 8 bed dorm. Both were clean and well maintained. Unfortunately not all bunks have outlets next to them, so getting to plug your phone in can be luck of the draw. Duvet provided was adequate and the rooms were well heated. Noise level was minimal despite being above a bar and facing out onto the street. Windows are quite large and ceilings high.
I was not able to get the wi-fi (Cloud) working on my phone, however I didn't ask staff for help since I have data anyway.
Tons of spare fridge space, loads of shiny utensils and appliances in the kitchen. Good place to charge your phone also if you didn't get a chance in your room.

D. B.As places in general go, it's OK. Cleanish, decently located in zone 3 nearish the Seven Sisters tube stop where the Victoria will take you straight to the center of London. Really difficult to get big bags up the tiny flights of stairs. Do be aware that it's above a pub that's part of the same establishment. It wasn't a problem, but it was a bit of a surprise. It does provide a nice place to hang out since there aren't places to sit in the rooms. All that said, it's dirt cheap (9 pounds a night). As dirt cheap places go, this is a mansion. If I ever need to stay in London again on a budget, I'll stay here.
C. F.It's close to home and that's why I go there but it's not that nice there. Those carpets are probably last century and are absolutely desgusting but the service is ok. If you enjoy sports, it's the place for you as they have lots of TVs and always have sports on.
T. A.It's the cheapest hostel in London, but not the best of course. Anyway, it's good if you really want to save money. Otherwise the metro is close, and we got a lot of supermarkets, ATM, shops around. They tried to let the hostel cleaned but ... Haha. I'd say it's ok 6/10.

J. S.What this hostel lacks in modern accommodations, they more than make up for in creating a great social atmosphere. It's easy to spend every evening hanging out with your new friends because the guests and staff are great.

N.Hostel is cheap if you're searching for sth to stay in London without spending too much money... Also you can get easy to the Underground which is driving fast to city center. You have several single bathrooms at each floor - no sharing ! :D
Now comes the BUT: for me as a german it is not clean at all... Yes, they try. But toilets were only clean in the morning, bedsheets smelled like somebody slept in there before, it's always too wet in the bathrooms because there is mold in the showering cabin, on the shower curtains and in the edges of the room. Normally they have to fix a lot what is damaged to make it a little safer there. Also: no kitchen to use! You can't prepare food there, so it's expensive again because you have to eat outside. And seven sisters is not a good ground at all... So finding some good stuff to eat can be difficult.
All in all it was okay. Pack your Ohropax and Flipflops and everything is fine.

R. V.(Translated) In general, the hostel is good for the price compared to the rest of the hostels around. All the rooms have cabins and the mattresses are comfortable, not the pillows, which are very thin. Unfortunately there is poor proximity of plugs to charge the cell phone, the bottom bed always has one next to it, but not for the top beds. They also have heating, so the cold of winter is not felt. The bathrooms have hot water (and sometimes very hot), they are clean in general, the infrastructure is not bad either, however the hygiene could be better, as well as the general maintenance of these. There is always toilet paper and soap, although some soap dispensers are in poor condition. The kitchen is located on the second floor and is only one for the entire hostel, so considering that it is quite small, it is not that comfortable. It has a lot of kitchenware, something old but functional. There is also a microwave and kettle that work well, as is the kitchen. There is not much space for tables or chairs, so it is more comfortable to eat in the rooms. They have sponges and degreaser, although unfortunately people do not take advantage of that and leave what they occupy dirty. The cleaning staff is rather unsocial but they do their job, they are not very accessible though. The pub downstairs I never used, there were no problems with the reception, in fact the guy who attended us in the evening was quite considerate as we needed to book more nights than we had booked online. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, loud music is heard until 2 in the morning, but for me it was not too loud, apart from that the music was generally good.
I forgot to point out that the rooms have lockers, one per person, so take a lock to store things. The most important things can be left at reception.

Todas las piezas tienen camarotes y los colchones son cómodos, no así las almohadas que son muy delgadas. Lamentablemente hay mala proximidad de enchufes para cargar el celular, la cama de abajo siempre tiene uno al lado, pero no para las camas de arriba. Además cuentan con calefacción, así que el frío del invierno no se siente. Los baños cuentan con agua caliente (y muy caliente a veces), son limpios en general, la infraestructura tampoco es mala, sin embargo la higiene podría ser mejor, al igual que la mantención en general de estos. Siempre hay papel higiénico y jabón, aunque algunos dispensadores de jabón están en mal estado. La cocina se encuentra en el segundo piso y es solo una para todo el hostal por lo que, considerando que es bastante pequeña, no es tan cómoda. Tiene bastante menaje, algo antiguo pero funcional. También hay microondas y hervidor de agua que funcionan bien, al igual que la cocina. No hay mucho espacio para mesas ni sillas, así que es más cómodo comer en las habitaciones. Cuentan con esponjas y desengrasante, aunque lamentablemente la gente no aprovecha eso y deja lo que ocupa sucio. El personal de aseo es más bien poco social pero cumplen con su tarea, no son muy accesibles eso sí. El pub de abajo nunca lo utilicé, no hubo problemas con la recepción, de hecho el chico que nos atendió en la noche fue bastante considerado ya que necesitabamos agendar más noches de las que habíamos reservado por internet. Los jueves, viernes y sábado se escucha música fuerte como hasta las 2 de la madrugada, pero para mí no estaba a volumen excesivo, aparte la música era por lo general buena.
Se me olvidaba señalar que las habitaciones cuentan con lockers, uno por persona, así que lleven candado para guardar cosas. Las cosas más importantes se pueden dejar en recepción.

Ein sehr gutes Hostel für den Preis, vor allem an Londoner Maßstäben gemessen! Die Etagenbetten sind etwas wackelig, aber alles in allem gemütlich. Die Küche ist geräumig und voll ausgestattet, zu den Stoßzeiten trifft man dort viele andere Gäste und kann wenn man möchte interessante Gespräche führen. Die Reinigung der Küche, Bäder, sowie Zimmer findet täglich bzw bei Gästewechsel statt. Sämtliches Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es ist besser, abends zu duschen, da dann weniger Betrieb ist und man nicht lange warten muss. Minuspunkt: das WiFi reicht nicht bis auf die Zimmer, wahrscheinlich ein Punkt um die Gäste in den Pub im Erdgeschoss zu locken - dort ist das Signal stark. Der Stadtteil an sich ist nicht besonders schön, aber man kann sich günstig mit Lebensmitteln versorgen in den Kiosken oder bei Tesco. Die Tube ist in 10 (Seven Sisters, Zone 3) bis 15 Gehminuten (Manor House, Zone 2) erreichbar.
Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen, ich würde wiederkommen!
