Couldn't fault the accommodation and the service was second to none. Cocktails amazing and every one was very friendly and helpful.
There was an issue though with my car. Asked about EV charging and was informed that it is available so left my car with Valet and they parked it and put it on charge. The charger tripped out twice and whilst they were helpful I only managed to get 100 miles in my car before returning to Norwich the next day which meant we had to stop on the way home.
Apart from that everything was very good.

We’ve stayed at One Aldwych before Summer 2021, so we weren’t surprised to see it as beautiful and perfect as ever this Christmas 2021. The service is 10 out of 10. This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Our suite The classic suite is a pale blue and modern Amenities with a classic English feel. Room service is exquisite. It feels like being in a little palace. When we arrived and open the door to our suite we found a beautifully decorated real tree. The florist of the One Aldwych is an award-winning florist which may explain the gorgeous ornaments. You must experience this jewel of a hotel in what I believe is the best spot in London Covent Garden. We will always make this our home away from home in London.

We had a very good dinner in Indigo. The food and service was great. After dinner we watched a film (Death on the Nile) in One Aldwych Hotel's cinema with popcorn and fizzy wine. A great evening and we were well looked after throughout.

Stunning establishment, visit this time was to one of their private dining rooms for a corporate promotion. Staff superb, food and wines exquisite. Nice views over Aldwych and the Strand. Ground floor restaurant and bar looks to be of equally tasteful decor. Stylish venue for the promotion of a luxury holiday destination in the South Pacific. Will definitely return.

Went here for charlie and the chocolate factory afternoon tea. My daughter was paying for it due to it being my birthday. Unfortuately my daughter had a panic attack before we had finished so we had to leave . But they still charged us full price. The service we received before this was good.

Absolutely superlative experience - LHW does it again! From check-in to check-out, and for every moment in between, the One Aldwych intuited my expectations, met, and then exceeded them for every step of the way.
Even before my check-in, I was contacted by their friendly and helpful team who took the time to inquire about my time of arrival and to genuinely ensure that my stay experience was as pleasant and smooth as possible.
At check-in, I was awarded an upgrade to the next class of room and the room was indeed wonderful - designed with clear style and taste and as convenient and cozy for sleep as it was comfortable and well-equipped for work.
However, aside from the delightful facilities themselves, I would say that it was really the care and attention and friendliness exhibited by the staff of the hotel that really made this feel like not just a five-star experience, but an exceptional one at that.
The complimentary breakfast and minibar options were also a lovely little extra bonus and the cocktails downstairs
were indeed excellent and genuinely interesting from a flavour perspective.
I’ll be certainly looking forward to coming back and will continue exploring LHW partner hotels around the world. Thus far, from Canada to Ireland to the UK, they have not disappointed and have been all nothing short of excellent.

Stayed here as it was close to the theatre and for the spa. Unfortunately, the pool and spa were closed for maintenance but there was no notice when booking to advise that. This was a disappointment. However, the hotel is beautiful in a great location, the room is spacious and the staff were attentive and lovely.

We just stayed one night for my wife's birthday. The first thing we noticed was the happy smiling faces welcoming us. I had checked in online and it was not a problem to leave our case with the concierge. Our room was ready early and the case was taken to the room. The pool is chlorine free and lovely to swim in. The gym was well equipped but not a place I frequent. The bar, in the reception area had a beautiful floral centerpiece. The service was great and again very welcoming. The room had all the facilities that we needed for our stay. We both had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was perfect and a nice start for the day. As the room was not immediately required we were allowed to keep it for a bit longer. We did have a small problem with the water but this was dealt with very professionally and with a smile. I look forward to going back to the One Aldwych.

Truly scrumptious, we had afternoon tea at one Aldwych Hotel, which was a Charlie and a chocolate factory theme. It was brilliant, the lady who attended to our table, went above and beyond to make sure we were all happy, unfortunately I can't recall her name. The tea itself was lovely and the food was just tremendous 🍫🍫🍫

Went for afternoon tea/Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Food was very good and my child enjoyed the kids sandwiches. Cocktail and champagne were nice. There were plenty of desserts and all very nice.

I was treated to the Charlie and The Chocolate Factory Afternoon Tea. Wow! What an amazing experience. We were extremely well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. We weren't rushed and were encouraged to have more of anything we wanted. Such a special event.

Visited with my nieces for afternoon tea. They absolutely loved it. The staff were amazing and helped to make our girls day out extra special.

Went for the Charlie and the chocolate factory afternoon tea and it was absolutely delicious! Our waiter, Jose was so friendly, helpful and charming. The atmosphere was wonderful and the afternoon tea itself was stunning! Great flavours and so amazingly presented! We enjoyed every aspect and would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, quirky afternoon tea with a twist

What a beautiful Hotel, so elegant, staff were so attentive, fabulous service. We went for Afternoon tea, as its my special Birthday. We had a lovely relaxing time food was wonderful, ambience wonderful and they bought me a Birthday cake which was lovely- really lovely day.

The Lobby Bar is a super venue for drinks and more. Really good and helpful staff, and a good range of cocktails. Great room with upmarket decor, too.

The second time I've been to and reviewed Indigo in a couple of months. Gave it four stars and admired the clean up refurb last time. So this time I'll comment that it's still nice food and top service but they spent a fortune refitting and redecorating, they kept the name and NOTHING is coloured blue let alone indigo. Why???
R. C.
We had the most incredible stay at One Aldwych Hotel! By far, the best hotel we've ever stayed in. The service was outstanding and the staff were incredibly friendly. We felt so welcome from start to finish and the staff went above and beyond in so many ways. The facilities are superb and the food was delicious. We also enjoyed some incredible cocktails too!
C. H.
Excellent service and a fab bar and cocktails advise to book even if you just want a drink as it’s very popular

A fantastic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Afternoon Tea. Whilst the setting is more a hotel reasturant layout than other tea rooms / lounges I have been to, and failed to review, it is still modern and beautiful.
The service of the waiting staff stood out to me far and above all my previous experiences when attending afternoon tea. I had the pleasure of being looked after by Indre this Sunday. Indre was warm, professional and attentive. She was patient with her explanations and kind in her service. We were pleasantly surprised when I had mentioned it was our 6th anniversary in passing that she took initiative and procured us an adorable anniversary brownie to make our visit even more special.
Whilst recognising the wait staff I cannot ignore Lee Roy who did such a fantastic job with the table of three small children next to us. Fantastically trained staff.
The food was excellent and the variety was surprising. They savory course is salmon heavy but the wait staff are more than happy to make substitutions.
The sweet course (scones, cakes and treats) is colorful, tasty and tricky. Some really weird and wonderful Wonka-esk food!
Will definitely be back for another afternoon tea. Especially if they do another theme.
K. H.
Fantastic atmosphere with lots of historical character. The food however was just OK (your standard overly priced pub fare in a toursity part of London). I recommend stopping by for a drink but finding food elsewhere.
B. L.
Came for charlie and the chocolate factory afternoon tea and I loved every moment. Our waiter was attentive and made the kids laugh and the food was special.
Although it was expensive, it was the kind of treat I wanted for my london experience. Brilliant.
P. E.
I think what made this afternoon tea stand out was how INCREDIBLY friendly the staff were! Contagious smiles and lots of friendly and funny conversations. The savoury dishes in the afternoon tea were delightful, we had to get seconds for the mini burger and the humus wrap, but even the salmon macaron was yummy and intruiging! I liked a fair few from the sweet bites too but the scones were perfection (And I do have plenty of afternoon teas).
The arrangement and presentation of the food was definitely instaworthy.
The cocktails were magical and delicious and I definitely recommend to have the tea with a hint of chocolate! We even got a little treat as we were celebrating a birthday.

My favourite hotel in town. Very helpful and friendly organising a family reunion here in July.

Highly recommended. Excellent hotel, exceptional personnel.
I only find the room small.

An amazing restaurant with the best fish and chips, and the creme bruele is even better! But best of all are the staff, friendly and caring without being over the top, in particular Leyroe is a pleasure to behold.Thank you

Had a lovely massage in the spa ,little swim in the pool and a sauna. All the staff we met were very friendly and professional. After the spa we had the afternoon tea in the old Eneko restaurant attached to the hotel,we finished with cocktails in the lobby bar ,lovely day in the hotel.Cocktail prices vary fr14-22 pounds ,not cheap but very good.

This was my first visit to One Aldwch for the charlie and the chocolate factory afternoon tea and let me tell you what an incredible experience. This was all thanks to your most gracious, attentive waitor Jose. He was exceptionally amazing and really went that extra mile for us. Ihe is a credut to your hotel and i hope you can give him a reward and some good recongtion for all his hard work becuase i will be recommending all my friends due To Jose's outstanding customer service. Please give jose another big thanks from us x

Lovely modern hotel, great food and cocktails and excellent service.
Great location for theatres.
Nice pool and spa area will definitely be back.
R. M.
A really terrible cocktail to be honest. Also unimpressed that staff do not wear face coverings. While government guidance is just that, and is not mandatory, it is advised that those who can, within enclosed environments should wear masks. Please rethink your policy.
C. L.
I had an incredible full body massage yesterday morning! I was so impressed with every single detail, from the courtesy of the doorman, the kindness of the reception lady at the health club, and the great professionalism and ability to make you feel comfortable of Viktoria, the massage therapist! Everything was absolutely delightful and I am so pleased with this wonderful experience! If there was an option to give more than 5 stars to my review, I would undoubtedly do it!! Thank you very much everyone!! ❤️

Lovely hotel, staff are very attentive and helpful. Slightly dated decor in the rooms but clean and functional. Small but decent conference rooms.

What an experience ! staff so lovely, Afternoon Tea, food delightful, presentation wonderful such a very different experience, loved it.

So lovely, really enjoyed our Charlie and the Chocolate Factory film and afternoon tea, gluten and dairy-free.
Lovely staff , Philiep from Portugal was our waiter and expert.

Very good service very nice food can't wait to go back

We have stayed here many times and it never disappoints. Even with covid restrictions it’s still a wonderful place. We are staying for a couple of nights and tonight we ate in the hotel. We were a little unsure of ourselves, but the staff were as great as ever. A particular shout out to Zilbe, our waiter, who was outstanding. Don’t tell anyone else or this hotel will be overrun!
S. Z.
My partner and I go here regularly and we are treated like family, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are amazing and the drinks are to die for.

Amazing experience, food was very good and service was one of a kind. We sat right next to the burnt toast and got told the story behind it

Absolutely fantastic service from the team. I can’t recommend enough. The hotel was bloody great also. But again thank you to the team for being bloody brill.

Loved their afternoon tea before so was really looking forward to visiting again. The sandwiches were great but the cakes left a lot to be desired. I really hope they go back to the mango mousse egg and desserts that came with the tea before.

Probably the best cocktails in London... Are here

Great customer service from Augustus thank you amazing experience very prompt and polite great service

Charlie and the chocolate factory theme afternoon tea. WOW filling and the taste is amazing. Only thing I would ask for would be maybe film or music playing would bring it alive.
A. O.
We had the ‘Charlie and the chocolate factory’ afternoon tea which included a glass of champagne for the adults, mocktail for the children, a savoury course including 5 finger sandwiches and a desert course with 6 elements including lemon flavoured cotton candy, mini chocolate milkshake and scones. Many of the these dishes had a little twist although not particularly crazy or ‘out there’ but the kids enjoyed them. Service was excellent although there was no effort to dress the room in a ‘Willie Wonka’ theme. 2 adults and 2 children (with a bottle of wine) came to ~£300
Z. J.
The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory afternoon tea was absolutely epic! They have a kids menu as well that is slightly cheaper. I loved the dry ice cocktail. It looked very magical. The food was fresh and yummy and the staff were attentive and very welcoming. It is pricey but you get what you pay for!
K. W.
Afternoon tea was fantastic. More than enough food for 2 people, would probably be plenty for 4 to munch on with tea. The tea offered was fantastic and had a great variety.
C. L.
Nice, good location. I only had a drink. A bit pricy. But you kind of expect that in a place like One Aldwych
J. F.
Excellent welcome (as always). Fine cocktails. Excellent service.

Very good dinner experience, slightly slow on service

Amazing Charlie and the chocolate factory afternoon tea and wonderful service

Stopped here for cocktails and some snacks as the American Bar was full. Wow... this is our new favourite. Stunning hotel and bar. Truly magical at Christmas. My Singapore Sling was made perfectly and the cheese board was excellent. Will be back!
T. R.
Only went to the bar area and from first impressions it's really well layer out and spacious. The hospitality to rated 5 star and would recommend to everyone. The cocktails are really good too. Thank you!

Nothing was too much trouble, we were upgraded and the room was fantastic frommthe cleanliness to the decor. Bathroom was huge! Staff were always polite and friendly, very pleasant and helpful. I couldn't recommend this place any higher and if you are thinking of staying here you will not regret it. Will definitely be coming back soon.

Great place. I have been here numerous times now and the staff are so attentive. The alice in wonderland afternoon tea was amazing when we first visited. The bar staff are great and make amazing cocktails and have always given away free samples of the new menu.
We will definitely be coming here for years to come.

We went here for the Charlie & the Chocolate Factory high tea. It was amazing! Loved it!!!
First we waited in the Lobby Bar, which has super cool artwork and was named as one of the top 5 hotel bars in the world. Then we went up to the tea. Everything was delicious and beautiful. The staff was great and I appreciate their attention to food preferences or allergies. I can't do mayo and they had no problem accommodating me.
Delicious! Must go! You won't be disappointed.
D. B.
We went there for The Charlie and the chocolate factory afternoon tea and it was absolutely amazing. Being a vegetarian its it's sometimes hard to get a good selection of sandwiches but they were so accommodating and offered 4 different varieties and had seconds. We followed up with the sweet selections and they were just as delicious, I think my favourite was the lemon drizzle cake and the chocolate mousse. The scones and candy floss was really nice too. Definitely worth the experience
L. B.
Pure luxury. From the bedding to the staff everything is top notch. I felt like a queen. The rooms are out of this world. I cannot recommend one aldwych enough.
S. A.
Had the Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory high tea at this hotel. The savoury part is on point. Not to mention you can get free refills on your favorite ones. The sweet portion was good too, a little too sweet but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Great selection of teas.
E. G.
This was an absolutely lovely tea. The food was delicious, and the customer service was excellent. We did not have one tea that was bad - they were so flavorful and scrumptious. The Willy Wonka theme is present, but it's not overbearing or tacky. It's beautifully executed and overall I would absolutely recommend visiting for the tea.

Me and the family had a great time at the Charlie and the chocolate factory tea excellent service and atmosphere 6 stars

Amazing plush boutique hotel. Located within walking distance to Coventry garden and Leicester Square, and the west end. Love the lobby bar, food and cinema experience.
G. R.
The Charlie and the chocolate factory themed tea exceeded expectations! The choice of tea, sandwiches and cakes were all so tasty! I've been here twice and can't wait to come back again. I love the creative menu and light atmosphere. One of the best!
A. B.
Hotel looks amazing, refurbished recently, however the gluten free and dairy free menu was too limiting for the average diner. Definitely do those options but not the whole menu. Portion size was very small although nicely presented. Staff were friendly and attentive, food was bland unfortunately.
M. H.
Went there for the Afternoon tea charlie and the chocolate factory inspired theme.
Food was nice .
Sweet overload .
C. B.
Superb hotel. Staff were incredibly friendly and tentative. The room was fantastic. We recommend making use of the bar in the evening before or after a show. There is a great selection of unique cocktails available. Breakfast in the morning was as expected. Great stay for romantic weekend away.. Wish we could afford to stay again.
A. L.
Very attentive staff, good service although they do add a lump onto the bill for it. Food was great, it is very up market place.
H. H.
We attended for afternoon tea. It was a lovely experience. Trying out different tastes and flavours of mini desserts beautifully presented. Lovely décor and polite staff. We ordered the vegetarian savouries and were delighted with the selection, especially the cauliflower and cheese sandwiches and the cheese scones. The carrot humus was also delicious and went well with the other savouries, and the banana milkshake was a delight with the lemon candy floss. The selection of teas were wonderful and we tried all the flavours in particular really liked the mango tea. Would definitely recommend.
R. K.
Came here for the Charlie and Choc factory afternoon tea. Excellent service and great tea. The savoury part of the team was 5* however the sweet part not so 5*. The scones were delicious however when the sweet platter arrived - although it looked great, didn't taste it. BUT like I said teas, savoury part, scones all great just some of the desserts not to my liking. I would still recommend this afternoon tea.

I wanted to thank all the staff for making my afternoon such a special one.
From the moment my guests and I entered the hotel we were treated with great service.
All aspects of the menu were delicious and presented to the highest quality.
It is the perfect way to spend an afternoon for a celebration, a pre show experience or simply a treat eating delicious food in a warm and friendly environment.
A. Y.
Visited for afternoon tea, have only heard good things so had to try. Price wise, it is very reasonable for a highly rated venue. Food was very nice and a Charlie Chocolate Factory theme was interesting and unique. They were able to bring extra dishes upon request which was nice, some places would offer this without asking however. Still, highly recommended!
P. S.
Indigo restaurant fabulous. Great drinks. Out of this world gluten and dairy free food. Bread and spread really moreish. Brilliant for a good meal before or after the theatre or simply anyway.
L. H.
Amazing, service is impeccable, made us cocktails that were not on the menu and took the time to talk to us. Friendly and not pretentious. Afternoon tea is without a doubt one of the best in London. Gosia who served us was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely be back.
S. W.
Really friendly helpful staff. Certain parts of the hotel are clean, however the public toilets by restaurants and bars, are really not the cleanest. Considering what they charge to stay here, you would expect them to be clean. Hotel is in a really good location. Food and drinks are really good as well. It’s just a shame about the loos near the bars.
Also mentioned that it was my friend’s birthday and they brought her out a little cake, so that was nice!
P. S.
Great cocktails, wonderfully and elegantly presented. 16£ for a Gin Tonic seems to be a fair price for a hotel bar, but the finger food (abundantly served I must confess) should have given the customer a little wider choice: just olives and nuts.
By the way. Great staff, very pretty, polite and friendly. Very elegant contest. A good choice for the style lovers.
M. H.
Excellent afternoon tea. Great choice of teas, fantastic selection of desserts. Just don't have 2 portions of sandwiches as you will want room for dessert 🍰.
They will add an optional 12.5% service to your bill, you do not have to pay this if you do not want to.
S. N.
Indigo restaurant was great for a business lunch. Attentive staff, but not too attentive. Well presented, tasty food, relaxed seating and an elevated view over the lobby of this pretty hotel. The price list for the wine was a little higher than it should have been, in my opinion, but I will definitely return
K. S.
Had the Charlie and the chocolate factory cream tea. It was superb. Highly recommended. It's a really good twist on the traditional afternoon cream tea. The staff were great, polite and helpful. A really great and memorable experience.
S. M.
Absolute attention to detail but done in a friendly inclusive manner. Not at all cold and snobbish but still treat you very much as the VIP. The hotel is beautiful. Contemporary design done well with a few quirks thrown in to keep things interesting. The food is first class and deserves a review of its own. With a menu that's dairy and gluten free you'd never know it until someone highlights it to you. Every dish was executed perfectly and served hot (I hate getting cold dishes in a restaurant). Toilets are beautiful and eco friendly with a vacuum system. I didn't stay in a room but I'd love to.
B.
Big room with lots of closet space. The shower, tub and products are great. The indoor pool was wonderful and refreshing to use, especially after a long flight.
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and give 5-star service intuitively, and without being over the top. Gorgeous lobby - a cocktail there is a must.

Indigo restaurant Very nice. Gluten free so my wife was happy to pick anything she wanted without having to worry. Service & staff were excellent. Very good food just how we ordered it. Will go there again without doubt

Absolutely fantastic venue for private dining. We had a small wedding reception/lunch here with family and the food, drinks, and atmosphere were all perfect. Absolutely loved working with Kreena and Janina in the events departments, they took care of everything and were communicative through the whole process.

This is an amazing hotel! Every time my family and I go, they always remember us and welcome us back. If you ever need anything just ask one of the people at the concierge. For example my family and I are going to go to Rome, one of the lady’s at the concierge desk (her name is Claudia) provided us with a list of places to visit in Rome. Also at One Aldwych hotel they have a swimming pool. This is no ordinary pool, this swimming pool has underwater lights and music. Last year the lights and music in the pool were not working, much to my disappointment. Also they have introduced a new amenity in the hotel. It is called the guest lounge (I think). The guest lounge is located inside the hotel as soon as you open the door. It blends in with the wall so it is fine if you miss it at first. The guest lounge is there so you can have a drink and take it in to the guest lounge and not have to be bothered by all the noise. The guest lounge is very rarely packed. I hope you really enjoy your stay at One Aldwych. I know you won’t regret your choice. The drink my family and I always get at One Aldwych is The Charlie (non alcoholic). (I think that is what is called).

I haven't stayed in the hotel but I am using their pool in the spa... Truly luxurious and exquisite, with very professional staff. I am sure the hotel, rooms and all other facilities will stand up to the standard.
Definitely recommend.

Willy Wonka themed afternoon tea was amazing... The service was perfect, so attentive but not intrusive. The food and teas were very tasty and an excellent selection of sandwiches and desserts. Charlie and the chocolate factory afternoon tea. We came here for my partner's birthday celebration. And were delighted at the variety and creativity of the afternoon tea. Cheesecake sandwich, apple sausage roll, not-quite-as-it-seems salmon and beetroot macaron. And a wonderful balcony with a almost 360 view in a covent garden locale.
K. B.
Very nice hotel in a great location. Relaxing pool and sauna. Staff were very friendly (if not a little too friendly and persistent with checking everything was okay). They turned down the bed whilst I was using the pool and moved a lot of things around in the room (which I wasn’t used to!) but overall a very pleasant stay (only there for one night), the king size bed was very comfortable with no noise from outside and it was very dark in the room so had a great sleep.
C. M.
Specialty drinks in the hotel bar are on another level, literally! They are all themed from different musicals or shows and come in unique glasses or means of dispense. I had the origin and they brought over a VR headset to show a short video on how the drink is made. On to of that, the staff was really helpful and incredibly nice. Lastly, there was live music. We had a very nice and unexpected time!

I went here for their Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Afternoon Tea and enjoyed the experience so much that I returned just a few weeks later!
The afternoon tea itself was incredible and I enjoyed every single second of it, coming out of there feeling truly sick where I'd overindulged!
The venue is easy to get to and very attractively designed and the staff were extremely attentive without seeming like they were staring at you the whole time. I have a nut allergy and they went above and beyond, providing me with a cake that wasn't even listed on their menu to make up for the one I couldn't eat. Can't find a single fault with the whole experience!
T. P.
I treated my mum to afternoon tea here yesterday. I loved the Charlie and the chocolate factory theme, probably take from the theatre production round the corner. The restaurant is nicely laid out and you have enough privacy. There is a nice selection of teas again all fitting in with the chocolate theming! The savouries included salmon and creme fraiche sandwich and tomato tart which tasted lovely. We don't eat beef so the venue were more than happy to substitute with something else.
The sweets included homemade candy floss, Eton mess and the chocolate caramel milk was AMAZING!! The staff were very polite and attentive and were prepared to talk through the options. This is probably the best afternoon tea I have ever been to and my mum really enjoyed it (she has very high standards!!!). Worth a visit- you won't be disappointed x
H. F.
Went there for afternoon tea. The candy inspired by Charlie and the chocolate factory was fantastic, but the first serving was a little boring. And the whole thing was perhaps a little expensive? 45£ per head. This is a place you visit once and never come back to.
T. M.
Location and hotel generally are fantastic. Its location is just perfect for all types of adventures and fun, whether it by the theater, the Borough Market, Covent Gardens, the museums and what have you. Their breakfast menu was very good for me as they had gluten free ones available.
M. G.
Haven't stayed here, only visited in the bar... But their cocktails are excellent! Some hotel bars in London thrive just off their location and reputation, but this definitely isn't one of them. Good service, and cocktails the way they were meant to be made. Expect to pay a London price for them, though...
J. W.
The desserts were the highlight and really the only part that is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed. The plates and setting and savouries were not themed. Savoury was nice, not amazing. It is rather over priced for the quality, particularly as there is an automatic 12% surcharge. Not the best afternoon tea in London but a nice experience.
M. L.
Went in for a Charlie and The Chocolate Factory tea which was gorgeous. Was promised a prize for guessing the flavour of the candy floss. Gave up waiting after 15 minutes as I had a play to see.
The food and the service was lovely. The waiters/waitresses were very friendly.
L. C.
Fantastic gluten free food! A lovely evening had by all. They even provided a small cake for our grandma's birthday, a great touch!
T. M.
Excellent We only had to cross the road and hay presto we were in our hotel. The staff were exceptional-excellent service in all areas of the hotel and our room was perfect. Our room no. 603 was bit to loud at night because of a ventilation system on the roof. The new restaurant Eneko adds a unique Basque cuisine to their dining options.
C. P.
Went for a family dinner at Eneko. We arrived early so sat at the bar in the foyer. Service was really quite slow (to bring us the menus, to take our order and then to serve our drinks). They also brought me the wrong type of rum. That said, the food in the restaurant was sublime and the service snappy, as expected. My only complaint would be that if you're happy to serve mashed potato, why not also have french fries as an option?
D. C. (. L.
We had lunch here before seeing the fabulous 'Beautiful' show in the Aldwych theatre just up the road. The food was excellent and service to match; pleasant, friendly, very attentive but not pushy. We sat around the corner on the mezzanine floor, which I preferred as it gives a good view over the floor below and is a bit quieter from the main part of the restaurant. Prices were, in my opinion, quite reasonable given the location. Overall VGVFM and we'd definitely go back.

My partner and I had the pleasure of experiencing the festive afternoon tea for a second year running. Once again, the food was exceptional and the service was first class. From start to finish we had a faultless experience.

Perfectly placed for pre/post theatre drinks and dinner. The afternoon tea in the upstairs galleried restaurant has a really cute vibe as your Charlie and the Chocolate Factory inspired delights (including smoking cocktails), giant gobstopperesque popsicles and fancy sausage rolls are served by the charming team. Great historic touches are preserved and revered. Opulent bedrooms and suites that you won't want to leave. I really like the ambience of the main lobby bar. Ask the team to make you something to order based on your preferences - they're pretty talented so you're in safe hands!

Came here for the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Afternoon Tea. It was nice, but not quite up to the standard of others I've had elsewhere. The candyfloss and cocoa bean financiers were fantastic though! The outside of the hotel is unremarkable, but it is beautiful inside. The service was exceptional. I would definitely return.

Indigo restaurant Very nice. Gluten free so my wife was happy to pick anything she wanted without having to worry. Service & staff were excellent. Very good food just how we ordered it. Will go there again without doubt

The place of my heart. Great location for culture lovers, nice Basque restaurant at the basement with beautiful cocktails. High standart of Afternoon tea. Live music at the bar each Friday. Currently all under refurbisment until April 2019. Good conditions for staff as well.
F. L. F.
Went there for an afternoon tea (charlie and the chocolate factory). It was amazing! As we were 5, they gave us food for 6... everything was perfect.
One Aldwych is the only afternoon tea place that I'm happy to visit without groupons/offers.
R. L.
I haven't stayed in the hotel but I am using their pool in the spa... Truly luxurious and exquisite, with very professional staff. I am sure the hotel, rooms and all other facilities will stand up to the standard.
Definitely recommend.
S. B.
Location is great, right in the center of London. Rooms are sized well, with room to spare. Food was excellent and cocktails were amazing in taste and presentation. Service was exceptional. Atmosphere was a little stuffy and reserved

Just had dinner at Eneko. The food was amazing, the wait staff were very professional but also very friendly, and the decor is gorgeous. The location is great, near a number of theatres in Covent Garden. Reasonably close to the tube and buses. The food is outstanding. We couldn't decide between four starters and three mains (between two people) so we had them all and regretted none. Portions are quite small but very rich. The wine recommended to us was gorgeous, and complimented the food well. I'm looking forward to our next visit!
M. O.
Charlie and the chocolate factory afternoon tea - what a sweet treat!
S. B.
We found this place by chance as we looking for food as I'm gluten intolerant. We asked if we could have a meal there as there restaurant is gf and dairy free , they said we need to book a table and I was so disappointed. They saw this and got us in and I'm so glad as the food and service was awesome , I felt relaxed knowing the food I was eating wasn't going to make me ill and left feeling satisfied. Highly recommended this place.
G. F.
We had a sunday willie wonker high tea...
Delicious sandwiches etc...we actually went for a second serving of sandwiches. ..completely unnecessary. The dessert section of the high tea was more than ample...some things were quite sweet but a fun experience. You do have a golden egg! Tea of many flavours are on offer and i particularly liked the table menus. I would recommend it for a very special event as it is quite pricey.
L. S.
We visited here with our Daughters for a pre drink/meal before going off to see a show. The Location is great for many of the West End Theatres and very fresh, clean and spacious. Recommend a definite visit.
T. M.
Wanting a good central location to meet and start an evening of celebration I saw a Daily Telegraph review of the Lobby Bar. Prepared amenities for our son were exceptional. The door is opened for you by welcoming staff on arrival and that …
D. E.
Despite asking for an early check-in weeks in advance, when I arrived at the hotel, they were unable to accommodate. This would be fine if the staff seemed even remotely apologetic, but my impression was that they regarded the request as unimportant, which, after a 9-hour flight, certainly wasn't the case. Nevertheless, the service thereafter was good, the staff friendly, and the rooms well-kept. Some minor, weird things—the doors seeming quite flimsy, and charging guests for Nespresso coffees in the lobby—pepper an otherwise comfortable stay.
S. W.
Our expensive afternoon tea experience at One Aldwych, complete with Willy Wonka theme, was lovely. Service was good, not over-familiar, nor intrusive. Everything we tasted was fun and delicious.
F. T.
Went here during the soft-launch of Eneko. The location and interior is wide, fairly spacious, with an airy feel. The attention to detail given to the design is apparent - from the overhead lights primed for the foodie-photographers to the cutlery and crockery to the open-space styled seating.
Service was excellent - our waitress was chirpy, upbeat and the manager came round to ask how our meal was in a friendly, non-imposing way.
The food was a bit of a let-down. Some dishes were very good (braised oxtail and the house special vanilla sponge dessert) but some fell short, such as the duck breast which felt somewhat incongruous when paired with enoki mushrooms.
Overall was a pleasant experience but not somewhere I will be returning.
S.
Lunch at eneko... Amazing calamari stew and hake. Beef was a little rich. We didn't order it but great dry ice dishes coming out of the kitchen too. But it was first week soft launch. Amazing service. Like eating in a bond villains lair. Very impressive. A little pricey given alternatives nearby but a good experience
V. B.
Went for dinner in the Indigo restaurant, which had been recommended by a magazine. The food was good and the service was excellent (just attentive enough without being in your face). Wine selection wasn't the best, but adequate for our needs. Excellent desserts!
l. s.
Fantastic afternoon out for a birthday, the service was sublime and food was Incredible!
s. h.
I enjoyed A Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed Afternoon Tea here. it was delightful! The Lobby was decorated for the season. The elevator (sorry, lift) was funky!
R. B.
Sleek modern hotel, right on the edge of theatreland and Covent Garden, so in a very busy area. Despite the hurley burley outside, once in your room all is cool and calm. Muted colours and smart design. The place has its own cinema and pool. It serves the most decadent tea I’ve ever eaten, one for which you need a real sweet tooth. I tend to eat out rather than use the hotel’s restaurant as there are so many great restaurants nearby. One tip, if you are driving, there are some good parking metered bays opposite,on the Aldwych itself, which, if you arrive late afternoon, you can make last until 8am the following morning.
M. C.
Surprise trip to London with my partner for a week, she booked us into One Aldwych.
Absolutely lovely place, decent size rooms and the service is Awesome.
The Bar is great and location works well.
Highly Recommend.
J. R.
We visited for a Charlie & the Chocolate Factory themed afternoon tea. Inventive and delicious! Our children loved it and the staff were amazing. Thank you!
R. P.
This is such a lovely little hotel. Well, it's actually quite large. But, hey. We stopped in one dark, not so stormy night for a quick couple of drinks. You know the type. Cocktails. These cocktails were great. They were not a bad price, considering london price points, either. I had had one of those fruity drinks, forget the name. My loving, adorable, other half had tried something a little more traditional. Again, I forget the name. It's something you have to taste to remember. It's only the taste that stands out. Oh, you know... These unmemorable names! Anyway, go in, have a try for yourself. You won't regret the night - assuming you don't drink too much and forget what you've ordered. Thanks for a night to forget! I'm sure we'll stop in again soon.
S. V.
Visited the newly opened Eneko restaurant. I ordered the pork and my boyfriend ordered the fish and they were both delicious! The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Wouldn't pay full price but had a great time.
C. S.
Great hotel - staff are exceptional, beds extremely comfortable and the cocktails amazing! It's in a good location for most things in central London. Hotel itself is pretty relaxed and there's a great atmosphere in the Lobby bar in the afternoon and evenings. The swimming pool is well worth a visit too!
M. A.
I had the vegan Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed afternoon tea here. After a little wait, the service was excellent. The selection was thoughtful and creative with rhubarb and custard flavoured candy floss, caramel cold chocolate drinks, mousse, fruit and a beautiful selection of teas (we tried mango, chocolate and lychee/rose), as well as pitta /sandwiches and dips and a beetroot salad with almonds and sugar.
I would have loved to have a vegan cream egg version and to be presented with a printed vegan menu, instead of the non-veg one, but I can definitely recommend it!
Prices were £39pp for basically an all you van eat deal for a two hour slot, excluding alcoholic beverages. There's a pricier version that includes a cocktail or prosecco, I think. The vegan hot chocolate is lovely, too!
A. A.
Glutenfree heaven. Was my second visit. And food service and staff absolutely fantastic. Thank you
G. S.
I had dinner at "Indigo" at One Aldwych. This restaurant serves only gluten and dairy free food. My mother, a celiac sufferer, loves this place. And I must say I can understand why she likes it so much. Firstly the staff were friendly and helpful which is always a good start. The door is tasteful and modern. The food is what you would expect of a higher class dinning establishment. I had the set menu of 3 courses and a glass of prosecco for £25 and u really enjoyed it. The starter, scallops with pork belly and crispy chicken skin, was really tasty. As was the main, a hunch of venison with seasonal veg and a wine jus. The desert, a pear tart with white chocolate ice cream, was only spoiled by the ice cream which tasted more of coconut than anything else. If you ask me ice cream needs to be made with dairy otherwise it misses a fundamental fullness but I understand that for some people it is not an option and the ice cream served here is acceptable. Others in my party ate of the a la carte menu which had a varied choice. On a side note the triple cooked chips were sensational and I could of just sat there with a small bucket full of them and ate them quite happily. So whether your celiac or not I would recommend this place.
B. P.
Absolutely top notch first class service first class food we were well looked after from the time we sat down to the time we left for our show we felt like royalty and will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone. Was just gonna have a main meal but ended up having all 3 courses was fabulous...
R. M.
Fab experience, great cocktails!
A. B.
Lovely ambience. Especially at Christmas time :)
F. T.
went to eneko during their soft launch. excellent service, well attended to and manager came to ask how the meal was. Food was well executed and good but not amazing. Felt duck and enoki mushroom dish did not work so well. Vanilla pudding was excellent though.
J. A.
Conveniently located close to Covent Garden, and numerous popular theatres, this is a wonderful, boutique, luxury hotel. Boasting two great restaurants and a relaxing bar area, it's a great base from which to explore London. The Indigo restaurant is gluten- and dairy-free for lunch and dinner, and has gluten-free breakfast options. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
T. P. J.
The room was unique and classic. A highlight was the concierge desk. I found Alan, Claudia and Augostinho to be especially kind and helpful. They made our stay in London all the better, both within the hotel and for our activities outside the hotel.
C. P.
I went for afternoon tea. It was amazing. The reception and waiting staff did an amazing job of getting us in at such short notice. The service was excellent, waiting staff attentive and the food was delicious! I will definitely return.
C. P.
the indigo restaurant is the only one I know in London that does gorgeous food that is dairy free.
our daughter loves to eat out but it is always a challenge to find nice restaurants that serves high quality food in lovely surroundings.
the service is top notch and very attentive.
the onion bread, which is also gluten free, is delicious. be careful not to fill up.
scallops as a main course, lamb or fish for mains- both yummy - and desserts to die for. and some of the best hot chocolate in town.
go there
D.
Wonderful afternoon tea. Staff were great and the food was magnificent, especially the sweets section. Particularly the golden egg and the candy floss, but everything on the menu was superb.
N. R.
One of the nicest hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying in and the Lobby Bar has some of the best cocktails in London. It's worth ordering one of their "One Spritzer's" just for the presentation alone. Both the hotel and bar are expensive but worth it, especially if you have something special to celebrate.
A. F.
Had dinner at Enoko and was massively impressed. The food was outstanding - Basque influenced. Every bite a true pleasure. The front of house team were brilliant. Attentive enough without being overbearing, knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend Enoko to anyone and everyone.
M. “. L.
The hotel itself is in a really good location, not to far from Waterloo and less than 5 minutes walk from the centre of Covent Garden. Rooms are much "cosier" than the average hotel and there isn't much room to move around without bumping into your fellow roommate. Despite the size of the rooms, the hotel is really beautiful. Have afternoon tea or enjoy the spa, what ever you choose to do here, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.
z. t.
Had afternoon tea really helpful staff but overpriced for what it is and more effort has been given to how the food looks than tastes
I. M.
Fine dining, excellent service and beautiful venue.
T. M.
I would have appreciated that the umbrella (hotel owned) was replaced when I lost mine as we were doing some shopping within London. ***y thanks for your attention to detail and hospitality. The staff is amazing and went out of their way (particularly the concierges) to take care of our every need.
o. m.
Had a Fantastic old fashioned in the very cosy bar.
M. M.
Nice place to go for wine/cocktails/afternoon tea. Expensive but it would be in the theatre district. Service very good, so was the wine! very pleasant place to sit and while away an hour before starting journey home
C. P.
This extremely posh and professional staff were very attentive and sought to improve every aspect of my experience. Drinks and food were excellent and perfectly complimented the ambiance. Looking forward to my return visit!
G. H.
Amazing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed afternoon tea with cocktail. Fairly sure we were buzzing more from sugar than the alcohol. Service was fantastic
C. H.
Breakfast amazing. Staff friendly and helpful. Location excellent for theatre, food and transport. Rooms are clean and modern even including bluetooth speaker. Can't ask for much more!
S. M.
We had the Charlie and the chocolate factory inspired afternoon tea... It was incredible!! The staff were very attentive and the food was brilliant. Would definitely recommend!
B. D.
We had a meeting in the cinema room which was great for a gathering of about 20 people. Everything was great, especially the canapes. Also had breakfast before in the bar, excellent eggs benedict!
S. N.
Probably the best cocktail lounge in London for the discerning. Lounge area is huge, with ceilings as tall as it is wide. Staff know service here. Not as expensive as it looks which is another pleasant surprise.
D. V. (.
We came for the afternoon tea and it was amazing. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. Pricey but absolutely justified
A. E.
Attended the Charlie and Chocolate Factory afternoon tea where we were seated on the mezzanine floor with the other diners. After a variety of savoury bites and selection of teas (coffee and hot chocolate also available), the sweet treats were brought out including cotton candy, golden eggs, mini milkshakes and more!
P. L.
We went there for the charlie and the chocolate factory afternoon tea and the staff were extremely professional, very helpful. The bar area where we had afternoon tea was lovely. Definitely recommend going there.

I wanted to complain to be honest but spa maneger was amazing, she just made my day!! About the hotel...honestly Towel was kind of smelly, Room is ok. Sauna was broken. Swimming pool is too deep but tempriture was good. I booked spa treatment 4days advance but they cancelled it before 2hours. My plan was compretely mess and I was really disappointed BUT the spa maneger is really fantastic to made me really happy. She took me other spa. I am really apreciare about this hospitality. Thank you very much.
K. E.
Nowadays it's rare to find such attentive, kind e precise service. A special thank you goes to Pedro and the Lobby Bar team for always looking after me and for creating amazing cocktails!
m. d.
The hotel is perfect. The five stars are well deserved. The hotel is amazing ,the interior and the rooms are stunning. It has very cool amenities too. The personal is super. Book it without thinking
B. K.
Afternoon tea was unforgettable- service was way above average - wonderful experience
K. G.
I popped in to One Aldwych during London Fashion Week and was very impressed with the facilities. The lifts are dazzling, with yellow lights and patterned infinity mirrors and the rooms are plush, with all the expected home comforts. It seems like the place is very well kept - and I hear rumours that it even has its own cinema somewhere!
V. G.
The hotel is well placed in London's Aldwych the strand, fleet street and covent garden on your door step. Didn't stay at the hotel so can't comment on the rooms, however visited for one of their film and fizz nights and loved it, plush screening area, glass of champagne, homemade popcorn followed by a truly delicioud meal at their Indigo restaurant....All in all a great night and highly recommended.
T. K. Z.
Lovely selection of sweets and savouries, accommodating to vegetation and halal options and wonderful service.
I. s. B.
5 star with superb facilities and comfortable rooms.
Costly starting at 280 GBP per night but with great amenities and services.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Rooms are properly maintained and cleaned.
Located a waterloo area just next to river Thames.
Big Ben, London Eye, St. Paul Church and other attractions are just 15 mins. walk away.
Very premium location and great hotel.
There is also lounge with tea and coffee facilities, complimentary to my room, which was standard room with no breakfast.
You can have English breakfast at 32 GBP.
E.
Went for a Charlie and the chocolate factory themed afternoon tea. The cakes and sandwiches were very nice lot's of different things not just traditional cakes and sandwiches ie coronation chicken in a brioche bun, cheese scone with a bacon jam, cola flavoured candy floss, and a bubblegum flavoured panna cotta for example.
The big let down was the lack of ambiance, it just felt rather flat. Other niggle was the cake stands not being fully cleaned and a fraying table runner. Little things but they add up.
B. D.
I am not sure why Google asked me to review this hotel as I didn't stay there or eat there. At least I don't remember doing so. That either means this place was either so unmemorable that I can't recall it in the slightest. Or that it simply lacked the terrible qualities I'm used to seeing in other hotels that stick in my mind. Either way, I'm giving this place the benefit of the doubt at 4*
T. M.
Fantastic location for a leisure stay. The hotel is at the end of Waterloo bridge and so convenient to the London Eye/ Westminster/ Trafalgar Square and all of the convent garden shops and restaurants. Every member of staff could not do …
R. C.
Indigo restaurant in the hotel has great gluten free food (everything is). Perfect place to host someone with Coeliacs. Excellent service.
N. F.
Lively cocktail bar with lots of atmosphere
D. T. P.
One of a kind, outstanding, fabulous hotel. Great staff, especially Ben (front desk reception) & Jacobo, chief of restaurant, make the experience absolutely heaven
D. P.
Really good food. Great venue and service was impeccable. Would thoroughly recommend the set menu and it is also really well located for theatre land!
S. A. A.
Beautiful atmosphere, modern design and lovely drinks.
Maybe a bit expensive but worth every penny of it.
The location of the hotel give you short walks to theaters and other restaurants.
C. T.
The most stiff atmosphere, a bizarre 3 person 'turn down' of one's room at 9pm??? Standard in all and very poor customer care - robotic and uncaring. Never again - including the spa!
M. B.
An elegant restaurant. The service for breakfast was first class.
J. C. B.
Attended for afternoon tea in a private room. We were well looked after and the food was good. I would have appreciated some tea refills though!
L.
This hotel is very nice and upscale.
The rooms are spacious, stylish and always clean.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The food is great with lots of options.
K. L.
We attended for a 3 day business meeting. Concierge were brilliant and remembered all things we asked for. Service for our day meetings was efficient and food of good quality.
E. W.
Came here for an afternoon tea just before Christmas. Everything from the food to the service was amazing, including being offered seconds of each course and as many pots of tea as we liked.
T. H.
Nice place for afternoon tea, sweets selection was a bit too fancy for us, e.g. Candy floss, small servings of scones and clotted cream. Sure, you can order more anytime.
B. S.
High end drinks with great service. Pricing was very reasonable and service and drinks were top notch. Best Old Fashion I have ever had!
S. P. O. D.
Wonderful hotel, also great for events. As a local photography company, we've photographed a lots of clients here and they have all been extremely happy with the staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

t. B.
Lovely place! We had Film and Fizz+dinner night which was amazing experience. Staff members were very professional and service was on high level. Thank you!
j.
Even the appetisers are delicous, but the very top of the afternoon tea are the sweets. This peacices served in a Charlies Chocolate Factroy style are amazing. I would really recommend this location as best in town.
R. C.
One of the best places around to get that perfect Afternoon tea , pricey but worth it as the service , attention to detail with their themes and the superb staff made it a highlight of the year so far
C. C.
Lovely food, always have lovely service here. Even got a delicious, free chocolate cake as we were celebrating our anniversary
S. C.
I was here for a professional event and it was a great venue - good space, extremely polite and helpful staff, and all in all a really good experience. The location is great too, very near Waterloo and Covent Garden, with great access to transport and lots of nice sightseeing.
T. O.
Amazing food and cocktails and such friendly staff. Book a table in the bar and visit.

M. S.
Relaxing place; final night 🌙 cap
S. K.
A great tea place for kids! I think it was called the Willy Wonka Tea. If you have kids this is the place to go for a relaxed and dessert heavy tea.
C. G.
You get 5 stars for being so friendly, courteous service, the afternoon tea Charlie and the Chocolate Factory theme was superb. The kids really enjoyed it, thanks.
C. M.
We visited the restaurant for the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory inspired Afternoon tea, it was spectacular!! Great course of savory and the sweets were wonderful!

Went for an evening to watch a movie in their cinema and dinner after. Brilliant all round, I'm giving 4 stars as the service in the restaurant could have been just a tad quicker but otherwise unfaultable.
F. M.
Afternoon tea was amazing with excellent service and delicious food. Catered well for a nut allergy and gave top ups on food.

+ Awesome location. Really great + Friendly and helpful staff + Good gym and pool + Internet is free and solid + Restaurants seem good too ~ Smallish rooms ~ Shower makes a strange noise

Little on the pricey side, but excellent cocktails, nice decor and good service. Recommended for an early or late evening drink.

Lovely cocktail and great setting but the air conditioning was a little too strong and the service was fine but not exceptional.

Excellent location, service and rooms! Loved our stay here! They even have a no chlorine pool! The breakfast spread is lovely!

We went for the Charlie and the chocolate factory afternoon tea which was lovely however the sweets part was not very suitable for children.

This is a fantastic hotel, layback comfortable and the staff are the most polite people I've ever met, I would give this hotel 100 stars if I could.

Beautiful tea service. The gluten free items were outstanding. Highly recommend.
P. W.
One Aldwych is an amazing hotel with professional staff and great amenities. It's very close to the must-see attractions in London and still a bit to the side of the busy London buzz.
J. M.
Fantastic gluten-free meal, as is all food served there. Superb selection and the gluten free bread was a delight.
A. B.
Great drinks, great environment, pleasant staff. One criticism would be that I found the seating to be a little uncomfortable.
c. b.
Great hotel, excellent staff, you get what you paid for, but no ostentation.
Eneko is a must, as well as the great afternoon tea.
O. B.
Very relaing lobby/launch with a great choice of amazing & unique cocktails. Little pricey but kind of expected at this location.

Had drinks here with work colleagues. It's always a nice place to stop - it's not cheap but it is comfortable and the service is great.
C. M.
Had the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory afternoon tea. Service was impeccable, food was clever and absolutely delicious.
g.
It has become a day-out goto place so it is now just expensive albeit with good service rather than a sanctuary. You might as well go to the pub at half the price
