Hotel is close to metro station and bus stations, so very easy to get in to city centre. The room was small and not as clean as I would expect but I really like the view from the top floor and atmosphere of the hotel. Bed was very comfortable and clean so we have a nice sleep and that's important. For me the best was roof terrace next to our room. Best place in hotel. Amazing views on London at any time of a day. I love it. All staff in a hotel was friendly and polite, they serve as nice, tasty english breakfast. If I got chance I would go back because of that hidden roof terrace and atmosphere of the hotel.

Location was great. When we arrived the receptionist was very grumpy and unwelcoming. We asked if we could pay for an extra room, which she seemed unhappy about then eventually quoted us a price higher than what was currently on the website, we even checked it's availability and price whilst asking. Due to her grumpiness we decided not to bother spending more money on the hotel as we would only be there to sleep. The beds were lumpy and small and it felt like the people above us would come through the ceiling every time they walked above us. I've read reviews saying bathrooms need updating and the owners have definitely listened as they were the best room out of the entire buildings. Shower was fantastic. Breakfast was pretty decent considering the price and when we left the receptionist (different one) seemed very polite and welcoming

Rooms are a little stuffy, dusty and hot, but not unbearably so. Breakfast is very nice and enjoyable. Reception is pretty good too, they will hold your luggage before you get your room if you are early which is an added bonus.

Spent a night here on a cold January evening and the room was warm and cosy. Only a slight maintenance issue regarding the TV remote control not working but considering the location and price for the night it was very good value for money and I would stay here again. Reception staff were also very welcoming and courteous.

Very nice, clean and centrally located place in London. Rooms are nice and cosy, with a kettle, hair dryer and a fan provided in each room. The toilets are very well maintained and cleaned regularly with hot water available at all times. The basin is small though and could be improved. Nevertheless overall definitely worth staying at.

Best hospitality of any hotel I have been too!! My friend and I were stuck and booked a hotel down the road for the totally wrong date - it was 2 am and our phones didn't work without wifi and we had to go to hotel from hotel hoping for a place to stay and they were the first place with a spare room. The other hotels nearby that were full were rude (although I do understand it was 2 am) but the owner of this hotel was so kind and welcoming and it was such a relief. The room was very nice and clean as well, and they really seemed to care about wether or not we had a good stay. The complimentary breakfast the next morning was also wonderful. Will always recommend this place and will stay here whenever I am back in London :)

Wr stayed here for one night. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean. The room was comfortable and cozy. The breakfast was a continental breakfast and was very good. You can pay extra for a full English breakfast. They don't have a luggage storage room but will watch your luggage for you if your room isn't ready yet. The only downside is there is no elevator and our room was on the 5th floor. We would stay here again on our next trip to London.

A very cheap place to stay in the centre of London, with friendly staff and free breakfast. However, the place is a little rough around the edges and could be genuinely attractive with some internal redecorating and fresher appliances. The rooms are rather small and creaky, but nonetheless comfortable for the less picky traveller. Plump pillows, clean rooms and free toiletries. Overall, not a bad place; it just needs a lick of paint and new furniture!

Our room was extremely warm and stuffy, even in the cool spring weather. No a/c and the window didn’t seem to let in much air. There’s also no elevator (and most of the rooms are up at least one flight of stairs - ours was up 4 or 5 flights), so make sure you bring luggage you can easily carry. The location was awesome and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted (there’s even a little Tesco Express around the corner). It does face a fairly busy street so it’s a bit noisy, and there was an angry neighbor who yells every time someone is too loud outside (she woke me up multiple times in the very early morning). Not a bad stay, but I would probably stay elsewhere in the future.

This is the second time I chose this hotel as destination. The reason is obvious - everything here satisfies me perfectly! I love the location because it's easy to access central London. The room is tidy as always and most of all, the staff are all very helpful and attentive. I guess you can hardly find a place better than this one to settle after a long trip. Good location with a nice London view but not much else is good. For the price, the room is too small. I know it's London but this is a shoe box. Not to mention we had to drag ourselves up 8 flights of stairs, which after a busy day walking around London, felt impossible. When we got into the room there was a bottle of bleach on the table, which had no lid on it. And a bottle of cleaning spray on the floor. Which I just don't think is acceptable. The night sleep was awful. The bed is rock hard and I suggest bringing your own pillows. The worst night sleep I've had. Overall I will not be coming back.

Perfect for a 1 or 2 night stay, anything more is a no no. It is small, fairly clean, the window opened which was good so it could cool down at night. This is the place my husband and I stayed for our last night in England and it was a good place for 1 night before we left for the airport. Close the the Pimlico station and 1 stop to Victoria Station which has the express train to Gatwick airport. Continental breakfast was just so-so with not a lot of options - toast, croissants, jam, boxes of cereal, not much fruit, yogurt, and then small cake muffins so quite a sugary breakfast and what is typically expected of a hotel continental breakfast. You can upgrade to a full english breakfast for 5 pounds. Check in and checkout was a breeze and they kept our luggage for us as we arrived early. My complaints would be that the hotel seemed kind of sketchy and dingy like we were in the bad part of town or something. The reception staff we encountered is a mixed review as some were friendly, and one was not helpful and rude when I had trouble connecting to the wifi (you have to connect to StGeorges not St_Georges) had to figure that out on my own as the reception just said "you're wrong, the password is correct and has never been changed since I've worked here" then ignored me as the phone rang and he picked it up. As a tiny small hotel I would stay here for 1 night but nothing more. It was as I expected.

Really cute hotel. Exactly what we expected except the water temp was weird and we had a few issues with that. Otherwise, great location, the employees were great and fixed the boiler as soon as we told them the issue we were having, and everything worked out. The stairs can become a bit difficult though, but we knew that going in.

Loved this hotel - got a great deal online. Fantastic Breakfast in the morning; quaint, cute hotel rooms; friendly staff. The power went out one night (which was out of the owner's control, as the entire block's power was out) but the owner did all he could to make us comfortable. He even helped us find a place to plug in our phones and computers at a building down the street that did have power. I highly recommend staying here -- it isn't fancy, it isn't 5-star, it isn't perfect -- but it's definitely a memorable experience, a good price, and a convenient part of town.

It's ok by London standards, small room (basically only enough space to move around, couldn't set the luggage without getting in the way) and an old bathroom with a toilet that's difficult to flush. Also had problems getting hot water for the shower (no pressure on the water so it was basically not possible to use it unless you get it cold). The most important thing is that it seemed pretty clean. They go each morning to clean and there's no sign for the door if you don't want to get it cleaned. In fact they removed some water bottle and toothbrush cover that I guess they thought it was trash. The breakfast was nice and the stuff easygoing. There's subway connections not too far away, but the closest one only has one line running which is not really going to the center.

I think it is exactly what and where it is suppose to be. This was my second stay. The access to transportation is available and there. I would say for those complaining I am sure the really super expensive hotels are waiting for you to book them! Staff was very friendly and attentive. Fantastic English breakfast in the morning! Relatively close to center, friendly staff and grocery store is near. Wi-Fi was the only issue, connection was everything but stable and staff didn't do much to try and fix that. Other than that it is very nice little hotel, has my recommendations! :)

Visiting from Adelaide SA for a few days. This hotel is comfortable, good value, convenient for Vic stations and next door to the Albanian Embassy. What else do you need?. It's family owned with friendly helpful staff. Is it just my impression or is London becoming more friendly? Must be a hangover from the Olympics - Sydney was the same.

Location ideal for central London. A short walk to Pimlico tube station and not a lot further to Tate Britain. Just a little stroll from here to Westminster. Our room was clean though a bit cramped. Staff helpful. The only moan is that our room was at the very top reached by 80 steps!

Extremely disappointed, the place itself was fine a ridiculous amount of stairs. I find myself quite fit but I was out of breath by the 5th floor. The staff in the morning (03/02/2016) and the morning staff (04/02/2016) was extremely welcoming, the woman in the front desk said we was more than welcome to leave our luggage in the lobby and come back anytime to collect them, as check out was at 11am and our coach home was at 11pm When we returned around 08:30 pm we asked if we would be able to sit on the sofas for a hour or two because everything was shutting and it was 2 degrees outside. The woman mumbled okay while staring at her to show, we sat down quietly and I pick up a magazine. She then told us that there will be benches outside or inside the coach station and then just look at her computer screen until we left. I found her soooo rude the fact that she said yes to begin with and waited for us to sit down to change her mind was just ridiculous! She was more interested in her tv show than having customer service, she really upset me and my partner, we are now forced to sit, freezing Cold for two hours.

Nice area but very loud due to planes flying very low. Plus very loud plumbing and paper thin walls in hotel. Not a chance to get any sleep. Room wasn't cleaned properly, carpet with lot of stains plus dust here and there. Breakfast included which is great value for money. WiFi worked well. Full length mirror in room. Kettle plus coffee, milk, sugar and tea bags provided. Be aware that no shampoo in the bathroom. Just a solid soap and 2 small sachets with shower gel provided. Close to tube station and lot of shops and restaurants around. Around 35 minutes walk away from Trafalgar Square. Lady on reception was very nice.

Pros: room for 4 is big enough for London, good towels, if you touch the basement you have a patio, nice neighborhood, near Buckingham Palace, warm, has an electric kettle and infusions in the room, small bathroom near the breakfast nook, a loby to wait, although it is tiny but warm, some concierges friendlier than others, it is far from ST pancrass and the victoria train station about ten blocks approx. Cons: it only has stairs, few rooms with a balcony, the breakfast is scarce in quantities since it took a long time to renew the food and everyone stopped at the same time, some mice in the amount they put, there are rooms that are in another building different from the one in the Breakfast area so you have to bundle up to go out and go to breakfast as it happened to us, we had a paranormal experience where the large bed in the basement room sank. Pros: bastante grande para ser Londres la habitación de 4, buenas toallas, si te toca subsuelo tenés patio, lindo barrio, cerca del palacio de Buckingham, calentito, tiene pava eléctrica e infusiones en la habitación, baño pequeño cerca del desayunador, un loby para esperar, si bien es diminuto pero cálido, algunos conserjes más amables que otros, queda lejos de ST pancrass y la estación de trenes victoria a unas diez cuadras aprox. Contras: solo posee escaleras, pocas habitaciones con balcón, el desayuno escaso en cantidades ya que tardaban mucho en renovar los alimentos y todos se paraban al mismo tiempo, algo ratones en la cantidad que ponían, hay habitaciones que están en otro edificio diferente al del desayunador por lo que tenés que abrigarte para salir e ir a desayunar como nos pasó a nosotros, tuvimos una experiencia paranormal dónde se hundió la cama grande de la habitación del subsuelo.

(Translated) We spent a whole week in London. Yes, the rooms are small, but quite adequate for a city break. You usually only spend the night in the hotel room anyway. I was afraid because of the reviews regarding the cleanliness what we expected but I really can not complain. The only thing that looks a bit messy is the carpet, as you can see that many guests have walked around with their street shoes on the carpet. The bed was comfortable and big enough. The towels were changed daily. We had booked on other terms (with English Breakfast). Many seemed to have problems but let the receptionists talk to them and so the whole was no problem and we were allowed to enjoy the breakfast on our terms. One of the ladies at the reception had taken a full hour in the evening to help us get our desired concert tickets. We really enjoyed our week! (Original) Wir haben eine ganze Woche in London verbracht. Ja, die Zimmer sind klein, aber völlig ausreichend für einen Städtetrip. Man verbringt normalerweise sowieso nur die Nacht im Hotelzimmer. Ich hatte aufgrund der Bewertungen bezüglich der Sauberkeit Angst was uns erwartet jedoch kann ich mich wirklich nicht beschweren. Das einzige was etwas unordentlich wirkt ist der Teppich, da zu sehen ist, dass schon viele Gäste mit ihren Straßenschuhen auf dem Teppich herumgelaufen sind. Das Bett war bequem und groß genug. Die Handtücher wurden täglich gewechselt. Wir hatten noch zu anderen Konditionen gebucht (mit English Breakfast). Viele hatten da anscheinend Probleme jedoch lassen die Rezeptionisten mit sich reden und somit war das ganze kein Problem und wir durften das Frühstück zu unseren Konditionen genießen. Für den Preis bekommst aber auch eine ordentliche Portion (Bacon, Sausage, Beans, Tomaten, Pilze, Eier in all möglichen Varianten) ... würde hier jederzeit wieder buchen.

Die Größe reichte uns vollkommen aus, denn wir wollten ja London sehen und keinen Urlaub auf dem Zimmer machen Die Einrichtung hat sicherlich schon bessere Zeiten erlebt, ist aber absolut ausreichend. Es wird täglich gereinigt, aber Kalk im Bad lässt es etwas schmutzig wirken. Frühstück bestand aus Toastbrot und Marmeladen, das war ausreichend für uns. 3. Die Lage ist einfach top, 10 Minuten bis zum Busbahnhof und zur Victoriastation, 15 Minuten bis zum London Eye und Big Ben. Wer nicht gerne zu Fuß geht, die Station Pimlico ist 2 Minuten weg. Zusammengefasst, wir werden es wieder buchen.
