I like its design.
I was able to watch a football game on the screen in the restaurant there.
No trouble did I experience.

I did like my stay there because of its particular feeling. I didn't like the smelling or the structure of the house, but I have never seen something like this in my entire life, which makes me memorize even small details of the building. The people working there were all very nice and I always had a little chat with them before leaving the building. It's been a year since I've been there and I already connect nostalgia with this hostage. But I wouldn't blame anyone for not liking this at all. Hostages are not the parts of a travel you want to remember and if you prefer having a room that doesn't smell like old carpets and a maze leading to it, you should probably try to search for an other hostage/hotel.
Did I mention that you have to pay every time before breakfast/lunch/anything? That sucks! I don't know if that's normal in London but that sucks!

It is a nice hostel. There are little curtains for intimacy which is very nice.
However, I was a little disappointed with the facilities. The kitchen is extremely small which means that a maximum of 2 people can cook at the same time. The microwave does not work properly and there is little kitchen equipment. I understand it is an old building and that they can't change the layout of the building. However, a second kitchen could be nice ?
Plus, the only place you are allowed eating is closed from 10:30 to around 12 so if you want to have breakfast during this time you can't eat anywhere else because there is only little room to sit in the lounge area.
The showers and bathrooms are okay. The showers don't have anything to put your clothes/items on which is a little awkward because they are located in mixed bathroom and does not allow a lot of privacy. My key card fell while I was showering and someone brought it up to the counter. I still had to pay the fee for a lost card even if it fell because I could not put it down anywhere.
My partner is also 6foot4 and we were put in a room with a 5foot11 ceiling meaning that he can't stand probably.
That being said, the hostel is beautiful and has a great Hogwarts vibe. The staff is also there 24h which is quite nice. The underground station is very close which is another good point.
In general it is an average hostel for a great price although it is a little awkward.

Wonderfully located with the tube only 1 minute away. Its really clean. The beds are comfortable and the staff is helpful and nice. The bar is a highlight with cheap (affordable) and tasty breakfast and special events almost every evening.
The best thing about it is the design with its dark wood panels, lavish furniture and cozy atmosphere. Absolutely enjoyed my time there

Great place to stay. Lovely building, not far from High Street, tube station, etc.
I had booked a bottom bunk bed in a an all-female ensuite room, which had been "upgraded" without my knowledge or consent, which really annoyed me. It would have been nice to have been told! Seems like someone isn't doing their job properly!
I would consider staying at this hotel again, provided they could get the booking correct next time.

I stayed here only for 1 night, but I would definitely recommend. Guests were all ages. It feels historical, but has all of the modern conveniences - even hairdryers for everyone to use. It felt very safe. To enter my dorm room, I had to use my ID card to get through 3 different doors. I can't comment on the atmosphere in terms of nightlife. Great location to easily get anywhere!

I had a very good experience. Rooms and bathroom were great and very well cleaned, breakfast was also very good and the staff was excellent. The hostel is walking distance to two underground stations and loads of stores and restaurants, which made my stay even better.

This hostel is a great option for tourists working on a small budget in London. I have not met a single unfriendly person in the huge staff. The beds are quite small but that was to be expected. I have read in the other reviews that some people had problems with the noise from the bar. This was not the case for me even though I was in a room right next to it.
I especially liked the interior of the lounge

My stay at this hostel was my first ever hostel stay, and I loved it! Everything was very clean, and my dorm was pretty quiet. All beds have light blocking curtains, so there's plenty of privacy and others' lights don't keep you up. I have had no issue with bathrooms or showers, and there's a cute bar and restaurant that serves breakfast in the morning, which is very convenient. Its right off the subway, so very easy access to the city. Highly recommend.

I was here with a large group as a group leader. The group loved their bedrooms completely, sleeping on bunk beds brought them back to their youth. The room for the group leaders was also fine, it had its own shower and toilet in the room.
The hostel was very nice, the staff friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. The hostel has a cozy lounge and even a pub downstairs.
It is a nice place to spend the night. The hostel is in a beautiful building, which really brought us the English atmosphere!
D. R.
The building is gorgeous and the bunks are quite nice, though you have to unplug your lamp to get an outlet to charge your phone. People are largely quite quiet and respectful. The food at the restaurant is a decent price for the quality and quantity. The bathrooms are clean. My one objection as to that would be the shower curtains are not long enough and there is nothing on the floor to contain the water, so the entirety of the bathroom floor ends up soaking wet and there's no place dry to stand to put on your clothes. Other than those few things and the occasional guest who doesn't know how to whisper or seems not to own headphones, this is an excellent location.

Location: brilliant locations near London t of transport with easy access to all the major sites & landmarks.
Accommodation: I stayed in a dorm of 16 and the beds were quite comfortable and were in a cubicle style. However they were on the small side (I’m 6’4 and couldn’t stretch completely out)
Staff: very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and always had a smile on their faces.
Cleanliness: excellently cleaning crew that are always floating around.
Breakfast: breakfast wasn’t included in the price, even though their other site, just down the road the breakfast was included.
Entertainment: they have a small bar with loads of entertainment throughout the week.
Building: an old building that is very well maintained to the highest standards.
Value for money: excellent, if you book at the right time you can get a bed for as little as £10

It was a wonderful experience. I would come back any time. The room was clean, the beds were a dream and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was heavenly and there was something for everyone.

My first hostel experience! Was an amazing place. Totally clean. 24 hour around the clock cleaning. Thee bedding has quality sheets and also a duvet. The curtains around the beds and the reading light makes for a private safe place to be. I don't believe that there could be a better hostel. I will definitely be. back!

I've stayed here many many times. The staff have always been lovely and the people here are friendly.
Marked down a star because it's a little bit of pot luck how comfy your bed is (when I stayed in the attic room it was not comfy at all!) And for the fact that even when it's been cold out, the rooms can be insanely hot! Please invest in some aircon, or at least something more effective than standing fans!
K. B.
Stayed here two times already and it has always been a pleasure! Rooms look great and are clean. Staff is friendly. Beds are comfortable and every bunk has their own power outlets for charging your stuff. Also really appreciated that there's female only bedrooms and a female only bathroom. Bathrooms are clean and showers work like a charm! Breakfast is great and inexpensive and there's a great selection of shops, supermarkets and restaurants in the area around the hostel. Also, even though there's a bar in the hostel, I was never bothered by any noise. There's some great communal areas like a lounge on the ground floor, the bar area downstairs and an outside area. Lastly, there's great connectoins to public transport, both by underground, bus and overground to anywhere in the city. Would definitely go again if I'm ever visiting London!

Very cozy hostel. I stayed here for a week in september when i was traveling alone, and i instantly met lots of wonderful people in the lobby/bar. The rooms were tidy and the privacy was respected. The breakfast and all the other meals at the bar were decent and the staff was always very helpful and friendly. All in all a very pleasant experience for an unbeatable price. Definetely gonna stay here again if I ever get a chance to go back to London.

This was my first experience staying in a hostel. The rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly, and the bar provided a very fun experience. A well-kept hostel well worth it. The luggage closet was a huge convenience for me and my friends. Palmers Lodge is located near a subway for easy access to the rest of the city.
I would highly recommend this hostel to any travelers.

This place is beautiful. Friendly staff. A hostel of this calibre for low prices is amazing. It's a huge building with a restaurant, showers, toilets and a room to chill out in with people from all around the world. If you ever need to stay in london on a budget, but want top class service, give this place a go.
S. E.
This was my first of many hostel experiences, and was most definetly my most comfortable stay. Very nice older, well kept building, and atmosphere. Despite choosing to be in a 20+ dorm, I felt I had more privacy here than any other hostel (each bed has a curtain, lamp and large locker underneath the bed). There are many power outlets and several bathrooms to use. Very well priced also (only £14-16 per night!!). Breakfast buffets worth the extra £4.5 and was satisfactory, with several different coffee & juice options. Main street around the corner has many different restaurants and cafes, many open late. 2 minute stroll to the Tube, only 3 or 4 stations away from the heart of the city!
Have recommended to friends and would stay again in the future!

Beautiful and maybe best hostel in London in my humble opinion. I met some really awesome people there who i still chat with to this day, though i feel like it is not what it use to be. Alot of staff changes.. i like familiar faces !
N. M. P.
It was very hard to find the building for me 😞 and very far from highlights, at night tube is closed by 10pm. I liked that in the room you have privacy with a curtain even if is shared room. The pub downstairs is comfortable and I remember the lady bartender was friendly.
E. S.
Stayed for over one week. Very different style of hostel, but very wonderful overall. Stayed in the 20 female dorm, private curtains on bed were fantastic! Lock boxes were a generous size, and the bed was comfortable enough. Shower was nice, and easy access to bathroom. Wifi was decent, and reached the room well enough. Staff was organized and helpful. Enjoyed my stay, and would stay again!
T. P.
This was my second visit to this hostel. I specifically chose it again as it is clean, secure, and very decently priced. It is a quick 3 minute walk to the Tube and a bus station is less than a minute away. There are plenty of female only rooms, especially for the solo lady traveler!
M. R.
A few minutes from Swiss Cottage underground station, perfect for visiting the city center. Basic breakfast availble at low cost. Dinners usually (but not always) available at the bar. Bathrooms are okay. Beds are good, curtains provide enough privacy. One thing I dislike: Lockers, shared with your bunk mate are under the beds, quite hard to get out and hard to fit a suitcase into them. Padlocks not provided, can be bought though. Towels cost money too. Finally, it's a good place to meet people if you're open to that! Many travellers, of all ages, often solo.

I stayed for 12 nights in a room with 20 other women.
Since I was doing a summerschool in London, i needed a affordable place to stay, and this hostel offered the perfect solution.
It is very close to 2 subway stations (Swiss Cottage and Finchley Road) and close to the centre.
however, when you go to stay in the same room as other people, there will be noise. but that is to be expected so if you don't like noise of people coming in late or getting up very early, then a room with a lot of other people is not a good idea.
I got used to this very quickly and also, the bed is rather comfortable. It was also nice that I got a change of sheets every 5-6 days!
So if you are looking for an affordable place near the city centre, this is the place to go!

Really nice hostel in London. I stayed here several nights during a bank holiday weekend. They have different types of rooms from a more private with private restrooms to the completely shared rooms with many bunk beds and shared showers. Lots of hangout areas in the open areas and the breakfast is the hostel type of breakfast.
A. R.
I really liked the beds with the curtains. It gave an intimacy that really helped me to sleep! It was overall a great stay, the only downside was the other guests - opening the room's light at 2am, making noise as if they were alone, getting their stuff all over the place. I had a special fee for breakfast everyday at 5£ instead of 6£ and the didn't know about it even if it was advertised on their website. But everything got settled afterwards. The place is near an underground station and it really is accessible, only like 20 minutes from Oxford st. There is a lot of bathrooms and showers so you don't have to wait to use them. I would definitly go back next time I came to London.

Simple hostel. Nowhere to plug phone in bed. Beds were quite small in the 30 bed room and because they are 3 high there isn’t enough room to sit up in bed unless you are on the “mezzanine” top where you can’t stand up all the way or you will hit your head walking. It was very warm on the mezzanine- no air circulation. If the windows were open on the bottom the people next to them were cold so they closed them all the time. There were 2 toilets in our wing for the 30 beds and I think another dorm as well. It was tough during peek times I had to go to other wings and sometimes a third if they were cleaning. Simple accommodations. Everything is extra. Pay for all the extras, towel, soap, safe etc. No swap out for towel. Big busy hostel. Lots of noise but people were having fun. Huge mix of age range staying. From 18-60’s were in our room. Kitchen is beyond small especially for the size of the hostel. No room to pass by someone to get to the fridge and usually 2-4 people waiting to use the microwave during mealtimes. It’s tough with so many spectacular hostels in Europe now it’s hard to have to compare experiences at places with great perks. VERY close to the station and buses. Staff were also very friendly and always willing to help. Good choice if you are looking for basic accommodations with an easy location.
C. R.
Excellent price, short walk into Camden and close to tube station. Beds were clean and comfortable. Staff attentive and friendly. I did find the breakfast expensive for what's on offer. Highly reccomend for a well rounded place to get your head down.
a. k.
Amazingly got some sleep in a 28bed dorm. The breakfast was all you can eat for £4.95 which was really good value. Funky music in the mess and what a building!!! Absolutely massive. Really liked this space. Former children's Hospital, so some history to boot.
A. B.
Decent hostel. Has lots of character. Pleasant and helpful staff. A bit disappointed tea and coffee didn't have milk in the lounge, but I guess I was okay using my own. Sofa spaces go quickly because it is popular with tourists. No fried eggs or scrambled eggs for breakfast, only boiled. Generally has lots to offer.

Ok hostel for a short stay I London. Has been here once before with hints of success. Came late and the check in took forever! Slow internet was the reason for that. The room I got was really hidden at the loft. Since I've been here before I kind of found it after all, but if not I would have been sleeping on the benches in the stairway 😂 So having some more direct signs would be an improvement. The beds are ok, but not anything more than that. Me being 186cm had my feets stuck into the other side, so being higher than that here is a bad solution. The quality of the bed is poor, but as expected since it's a hostel. At this stay I also had a really bad experience with fellow travelers. The person under me was apparently not interested in sleeping. Getting into the room at 23.30-45 and talking loud, playing music and laughing uncontrollable until 2-3 at night. So this is apparently not a place to sleep, but a place to stay.
C. J.
Fantastic place to stay, thourally enjoyed it and a lovely, welcoming atmosphere! I stayed in a six bed dorm and the people couldn't have been more respectful, the rooms were clean and the beds private. Close to a lovely park, the zoo and Camden town! Bar is lovely but did not try the food. Well recommended.

The best hostel in London! Describe this place in one word: beautiful. Hostel is in perfect location just few minutes walking from tube station and 15min from Big Ben. Dorms are huge with comfortable beds. Very clean toilets and showers!! Staff very friendly and helpful. It’s the best place to meet travelers from all around the world! They have bar with happy hours and a lot of events to have fun.
F. R.
Nice hostel with a good structure. The beds have a curtain, so even in a 24 shared room, you still can have your privacy. Two downsides is that is kind of far from the middle of tourist places (have a Subway very close by) and you have to rent the towel and buy soup/shampoo.
A. T.
One of the nicest hostels I've been in but service not very good. Spent and hour and a half drying my laundry and the clothes were still soaked; didn't work for me or anyone else using the machines. Also two machines were broken. I told them and explained how long it's taken and how much money I've spent (the machines are not cheap either) and they really did not care one bit. I asked for the nearest laundromat and he said he has no idea so I just found one on Google. The laundromat ended up being much cheaper and faster.

I stayed here when I first arrived in the UK, it is a lovely hostel and I am glad I chose this one to stay at first, although the kitchen is small it has great facilities and a lovely pub downstairs with a darts board and great staff to chat to while you kick back and enjoy a few beers during happy hour. I would recommend Palmers lodge in Swiss cottage to those new to London looking for a place to stay for a while.
C. T.
This hostel was such a blast to stay in! There are so many cool people from around the world to chat with. There’s a very affordable restaurant to eat if you don’t feel like going out to eat, and they even have karaoke! Palmers is a very affordable place to stay if you’re looking to book a trip to London, especially considering the prices of the hotels in the area. If you’re looking somewhere to eat, there are plenty of restaurants in the area and even a Tesco if you’re looking for an affordable snack.
K. V.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Its bar and restaurant is great, but it is also located only a short walk away from various shops and restaurants as well as various bus stops and underground stations. I strongly recommend this place.
J. S.
Beautiful hostel, inside decor is awesome. Bar isn't half bad, and the rooms are nicely laid out. Reception is helpful and always available, and guests tend to be a good sort. Location is near the subway station, so that's nice to hear if you have luggage.
K. M.
Just stayed there on the last leg of my Europe trip because my flight was on the following day. Comfortable and plenty of space. Provided linens but you have to pay for the towel if you need it. For the price it was reasonable. There's a lot of amenities included especially the wifi. There are even some secure lockers you can rent out. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful as I navigated through the city of London for a day. I'd recommend this place as it's close to the tube station.
J. I. E. N.
I have stayed at Palmers Lodge 2 - 3 times. First of all, I have chosen the hostel because of its location. I used to live just around the corner in my younger days and this part of London has a special meaning for me. I keep coming back because I love this old house and its speciel atmosphere. I'm a 60+ woman and even there are mostly younger guests in the hostel, I do not feel awkward because of my age. The breakfast buffet is is really okay for the prize and much cheaper than going to a cafe.
K. M.
Nicely designed and decorated building with good food and a nice seating area. However, the rooms were small, stuffy and clinical. We stayed here on a hot stuffy night and nobody could sleep. The next day everyone was tired and stressed. A good place to stay but unless further improvements are made, dont stay in extreme weather conditions.
S. B.
Pretty good hostel- the rooms were cute and there was great Wifi and luggage storage. Food was alright, but overpriced. My only issues were that the bedding was generally pretty dirty, and the bar music was loud enough to shake the floor well after most people were trying to sleep.
K. H.
Nice Hotel. Nice Interior Design. Bathrooms and Rooms are very clean. Also a high level of security. Several parts of the Hotel you can only access with a key card.
The Wi-Fi worked perfectly!
The location of the Hotel is very good for tourists, who travel a lot through London using the Tube. The next Underground Station (Swiss Cottage) is only 5 minutes away, and the next supermarket is about 3 minutes away.
The only bad thing about this Hotel is, that the rooms are quite small. I stayed together with 6 other people in a room during a school trip and in summer it can get very hot in the room.
The breakfast was excellent. Never had such a good breakfast in a Hotel!
All in all a great place to stay for tourists, who spend most of their time travelling through London, and enjoying the city.

+:
-It's a walk away from tesco express and the tube and a busride away from Camden Town!
-it's a beautiful building that feels nice to 'come home to'
-The 16 person dorm never felt crowded, it was really used as just a room to sleep in as everyone was really quiet and had their curtains on all the time
-The downstairs bathroom was really relaxing and clean (but the upstairs bathroom felt cold and like I was at a pool)
-Little events every night
-Check in and check out was really easy and quick
-Nothing got stolen which I was scared of since I had seen other reviews
-The lounge (right next to the check in desk) is really great for relaxing after a long day
-The kitchen, although small, has everything you could need (toaster, stove, fridge, salt & pepper, plastic bags) and a section for free food as well, which is nice, because then food from past guests doesn't get wasted
-:
-The kitchen was closed soo often which was really annoying since I just wanted to grab a quick breakfast before I left or wanted to eat something before joining karaoke, but no, I had to go outside for dinner and when I came back the karaoke was already done :( However, if you eat at really standard times it probably will be open, but just don't depend on it :)
- The bedding was 1 folded over sheet and a pillowcase and I wasn't a fan of that, it was okay but I didn't like how you were bound to touch the sheetless blanket in your sleep
-The quietness in the dorm is also a negative thing, it's quite hard to get ready with the lights being off and having to be quiet
All in all I am happy with my stay! It felt nice and safe, would definitely recommend for solo travelers, and it's perfect if you don't really want to talk to people, but also great if you do because of the many evening events.
C. S.
Beds/Rooms were nice and clean, reception was mostly nice, we bought the breakfasts as well which had a nice selection. The only downside was no noise restrictions so there was loud music through the night and occasionally people have really loud (drunk) conversations/parties till 3am. Otherwise very pleasant for the price
C. C.
Helpful staff, we stayed in both private room and dorms. Private room was very nice. Dorm beds have curtains and lights which is great. The place is huge, and very nicely decorated. Lounge was a great place to hang out in.
N. D.
Very nice hostel, close to bus and metro, and walking distance to the zoo and Camden Town. The people at the bar we're great, not so much at the front desk.
One of the women at the front desk ignored me when I tried telling her the wifi was down, and after a while told me it was normal, to try again. When I told her 10 minutes later it still wasn't working she had someone reset the router and admitted it was down.
Also, the dryers are pretty bad, if you need to do laundry I'd recommend you take your clothes somewhere else or be ready to spend a bunch of money on them.
C. E.
This is the best hostel I ever stay in London. it located in zone 2, a very classic and elegant building which built 140 years ago, it located in a peace and quiet community, got supermarkets nearby. Staff inside are helpful and friendly, they would offer you good suggestions to anywhere. Loos are very clean and tidy, the common areas are comfortable, never imagine there is a pub down the stairs but unfortunately they are fixing the genius’s tap so I have to try another brand. Overall, it’s a good hostel that sits near the City of London and you could travel to the airport conveniently.
J. G.
Everything I read about the Palmer Lodge says that it's a great hostel if you are not in the basement. This is where I was located and that description is correct. The room was incredible hot with little ventilation. There was also slight musty order like others had noted. I was suppose to stay there a couple of nights, but only stayed the one, due to the heat.
On another note, the bathrooms were extremely clean. Bottom line - if you like hostels, this one is very good - unless you are in the basement.
M. P.
Perfect for young adults and students looking for nice, affordable accommodation. Not close to any major tourist attractions, but only a few minutes walk from the underground which can get you anywhere. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and there was an unlimited for a small extra charge.
M. Y.
First time staying in a hostel, very nervous ... But this was overall a good experience. Once inside the rooms everyone is very conscious of making noises and it's quiet mostly.l (no one talked very loud in room) The hostel itself is very nice to look at and well looked after. I think having more toilets would be good, maybe better access to plugs in room closer to beds. There wasn't really any huge negative with this place. The people on whole kept themselves to themselves which for hostel is a shame but be prepared for noises in bed from 9pm till 3am from people walking in and out, the bar music till 12, people arriving late for whatever reason, and making huge amount of noise getting these cases in ect... Maybe the hostel should have a better arrival policy. Oh and change the way under bed storages are used cos they make huge amount of noise when used... Probably would stay here again, but not if I need to be fresh for next day.
b.
Good location near Swiss Cottage tube and great price. Breakfast was good and 4.95 was a good deal considering what you could spend on the same amount and variety of food elsewhere. Bed was kind of uncomfortable, which is the only big negative. Could be helped greatly by better pillows.
C. L.
It was alright.
It's nothing special really. It's a really simple hostel with a few perks, which are :
+ Wi-Fi is free and is working great.
+ The breakfast is ok and the dining room/bar is confortable enough.
+ Beds are comfy and were clean when we arrived.
+ Shared facilities (Bathroom, toilets and showers) are clean and in working order.
+ Near a subway station
+ Come and go as you please, it's open 24hrs
But :
- If you order throught Booking, you only pay for one night, I had to pay for my stay before I checked out, which was unexcepted.
- Noisy people (not the hostel fault, I know), but be used to people coming in and out of the room all the time. Some people also like to speak extremely loudly at 2.00 AM.
- Some employees were extremely rude without any reasons.
Overall, it's ok if you travel on a budget, but I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a quiet place to settle down. It's nothing spectacular, but it's enough.
B. G.
Looks can be deceiving. It's very fancy outside and in the lobby but the issues start from there. The self cook kitchen is tiny and lacking in plates, the rather large bar serves burgers, chips and pizza, all average. Located near by are KFC and McDonalds, there are some others but none good for their price. Check in is 24 hours so you may find yourself woken by people unpacking at 3am. Underground needed for everywhere, luckily a station is nearby. It's not awful but it's nothing special
V. Q.
This is a lovely little hostel. The employees are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is tasty, it's right near two Underground stations. There's a bar, a game room, a kitchen, washing... You will walk a fair bit though; the lift isn't working. But just think of it as working off that tasty breakfast!
C. H.
When you plump for a hostel over a hotel you are saying "cost is more important than comfort". Well, at Palmers Lodge you get both. All of the rooms, both dorm and private, are well fitted and present to spend time in. The building as a whole has a great feel to it and, thanks for thoughtful decoration, you really get a feeling for it's history. The bar and kitchen are a pleasure to spend time in and guest comfort is clearly a priority. The locations is great with the local tube station being only 5 minutes walk away.
S. A. L.
Fantastic hostel in London. Palmer's lodge was Staffed by friendly People and the building and facilities were well maintained.
Only complaint is that they do not seem to have a noise policy. So things got pretty loud in common areas pretty late at night. But then again 24 hour front desk is fantastic!
A. G.
This is a great hostel for the most part. The rooms were adequate, the showers and toilets were always clean, but there is no noise control. Each night of my stay there were loud guests directly outside my room going on for hours.
D.
Second time in this place. One of the best hostels that I have been. The bar usually don't have a bartender. So most of the time when I needed a drink I need to go to the bars around. A good staff work here. For sure I will return.
A. R.
Very nice hostel, near the tube station, cozy, nice people, stayed in a 6 bed female dorm, and I have no complains about noise, people were very respectful, the room was full and I was only noticed 4 of the 6 people in The morning The breakfast is good, and it's not expensive, I really recommend you to have breakfast at the hostel.
Although I have no complains about other people, the room was really small and there was no air conditioning, only fan and an open window, and it was 30º C !!
Plus my bunk bed was was the "2nd floor", and I had a bed above me, it's a bit claustrophobic, Palmers, I think 2 floors are enough. If it was on the bunk bed´s 3rd floor I really could not stay there, it was sooo high !!! And my locker was under the ground bed, so it was a bit awkward, because there was a person on the bed and I didn't want to bother her.
I would recommend this hostel for someone who does not bother to be always looking stuff, getting up and down to bed, ah! the bathroom was on the other side of the building ... bring you own towels!!
It's is a very nice place, really enjoyed my stay, but next time I prefer to have my own private room :)
A. L.
Affordable and public amenities and areas are clean and well maintained. Great for a budget weekend away in London. I struggled a little as my room was in the attic and it was very dusty which really aggravated my cough whenever I was in the room overnight, but otherwise good experience. 5 minute walk to Swiss Cottage tube station which can connect you to most main attractions within 10-30 min. Quiet side street off the main road as well so it's not noisy at night. A lot of toilets and showers are available for all lodgers so even if the closest ones were taken you could walk a bit further to find more.

Absolute convenience, comfort and privacy. even though i stayed in a 14 bed Mixed dorm, all beds had curtains with separate lighting and charging facilitiy. THe shared bathrooms were kept clean and were within range, also, heating was always turned on to keep the hallways warm as well.
J. W.
Great hostel overall. Good breakfast nice rooms and the house looks amazing as well.
Only thing is the don't have European plugs in the rooms and a very small guest kitchen.
S. S. M.
Awesome management. Very clean, very professional, good visitors, awesome location in central London, Iceland foods nearby, Tube station close by, bus station close by, computers available, free coffee for those who opt for breakfast. Staff too professional that sometimes the become unfriendly causing mood off, so better not expect much help other than the routine stuff.

Loved the place, a real 5 stars hostel. The palace is stunning and bed spaces are well studied, with courtains for privacy, lights and phone plugs. Anyway i have some suggestions and remarks for the management that might be useful to improve their service :
1 - i asked at reception desk to stay 2 days longer and the guy on duty - the youngest of them all - suggested me to search for availability on Booking site.... seriously. I found this pretty crazy, not only because the Booking site had only few unconfortable availability ( "french bed" with my mate...please no ! ) but also because paying commission for a guest already-in-house makes no sense for any hotel. Luckily i went back to a very kind girl at desk who helped me easily in few minutes and i got the reservation done. I suppose the young guy needs more training...and should probably care more for guests and try to be more helpful.
2 - the beautiful relax area next to the reception is a beautiful large and antique room...unfortunately often left to guests lack of care and order...i think that room should deserve more attention from reception staff, also to avoid people sleeping on sofas....which is not nice to see for anyone.
3 - coming back late at night i often saw ( and heard ! ) the night guy joking with few drunk guys litterally screaming and laughing loud in the reception hall....i thought this was crazy also for a hostel, such a lack of respect for those who want to sleep ( many rooms are at ground floor ) : avoid screaming and nasty noises at 2a.m. - and drunk people too, making a show at the desk - should be something natural for someone working in the hotel industry, i suppose.
4 - last but not least, the hotel should be more clear about the fact that guest are not allowed to drink a beer bought outside...i did not know and the guy at the bar came to the corner in the adyacent dining area where i was having my sandwich, my beer and checking my phone and told me quite rude "sorry mate you are not allowed to drink beer not from the bar...you finish it now otherwise - when i come back in few minutes - i have to take it from you". I am 44 years old and it was YEARS that a guy talk me like that...i said i was "sorry" but....thinking about it later, he really made me upset. That's really stupid, there are so many ways to say things politely...and that's when i realized there was 1 and only sticker on the glass door that goes outside which i had totally misunderstood, and it says : NO OUTSIDE ALCHOOL( you know what? i had understood you couldn't go outside in the courtyard with alcool...miserable me ).Ok, my fault but please write it more clearly someway.
From that day i never again went down to the bar because of course i was unconfortable with that guy and wanted to avoid senseless discussions.
These were the things i did not like about the Palmers..."details" but important for me to tell you.
Well that's all by now....as you see, i still think the Palmers Lodge really deserves 5 stars after all ( i come to London once a year and this is now my favourite place for staying ), but should make some few changes in order to reach and keep a higher level of service too. Hope to have been of any help. Best regards. GUIDO - Italy

It's the best hostel at some reasonable prices! The staff is super friendly and helpful to you and can answer any questions that you may have! We went there at the last week of October, so one night they gave a Halloween themed party! Super awesome!
Also, you can easily walk to the nearest tube/subway station and has lots of bus stations nearby!
R. C.
Beautiful hostel, very lively. Clean bathrooms, comfortable beds. Very crowded though. Better for short stays than long ones. The staff is very welcoming and it is close to the underground station and many bus lines.
C. P.
Comfortable, curtains around the bed for good privacy. I was on the top floor so I had to do a lot of ducking to get around the room but my friend and I both enjoyed ourselves. The other women in our room kind of kept to themselves so we didn't make any new friends, but that's okay. Would stay again!
J. M. (.
Clean beds and easy access to the underground as well as the grocery store. However, other guests can be loud while you're trying to sleep, and I heard loud music one night. Bathrooms and showers are relatively clean, but they're shared so you need to bring flip flops to shower. Nothing is free, as in now food or drink including coffee or tea or water. It was better before when they had a free breakfast, but they have a bar now if that's your thing.
R. M.
We had a good experience. The place was clean and the curtains on the beds add a bit of privacy. The location is great. Walking distance to Camden town market and literally around the corner from the tube station. The only drawback was a lack of sinks and toilets in the bathrooms. Lots of showers, but not many sinks/toilets.
M. L.
To me, the best hostel in London : set in a beautiful manor, with very beautifully-decorated communal spaces, there's a nice bar and restaurant but an essential self-catering kitchen is also available, really awesome. Free coffee/tea. The prices are not so high, sometimes low for the place. I only find the price for breakfast a bit too much for a hostel, £4,50. It's just my opinion but it shouldn't be over £3 in a hostel. Even if I'm sure it's good value --"eat as much as you can".
It's not right in the centre, but not far -and not far from Regent's Park, Camden and Hampstead, plus transports are very convenient : quick and direct tube, and frequent buses direct to Oxford Street 24/24
Z. W.
Great staff and absolutely top notch showers and rooms (for hostels). Hot water and great water pressure. Curtains on the beds to block out light. Bar downstairs. Seriously the beat hostel I've been to facility wise.
Only downside is that you need to take the Tube to get most places which costs 5 pounds one way. Also there are a decent amount of locals staying here so you don't have a party atmosphere. But I just came from Dublin so a little calmer was a great change (but I have been able to stay up and drink with new people every night).
T. Z.
The old style decoration seems great at first glance. But our room for six persons was incredibly small, the window was fixed to a small opening, you can't close it or open it any wider. So the air in the room was bad, it was warm and it could rain into the room. Additionally, a whole floor has to share a hand full of showers and toilets. They were cleaned several times a day though, so they were quite clean.
The service was quite helpful. Free Wifi was a great plus. Breakfast not that great, very limited choice, but it was ok. Overall, not really great, but passable.
L. P.
Location even though far, tube station and bus stops just 3 mins away walking. Large common area with free coffee and tea, friendly staff. Bedroom was nice although lockers were small, and you should have your own padlock. Towels for hire. Some rooms have 3 bunk beds on top of another, not the standard 2, so if you're in the middle you may get cramped. Curtains for privacy, although bed was rather narrow for me. Reading light and 2 outlets for each bed, although they did not work. I told reception about it, they told me they would fix next day, but didn't. Heard from other guests the same problem, so be aware your devices may not charge overnight. Bathrooms were ok but small, especially showers. To put more available showers to everyone they crammed more into the same space. Toilets and showers were clean unless someone filthy has previously used them, but that's normal for hostels shared bathrooms. I just wish the outlets worked :/
P. V.
I stayed at Palmers Lodge Swiss Cottage for 4 days and it's a nice hostel. The location is nice as well as the breakfast served in the hostel. My only remarks are the rooms. The rooms are quite small in comparison with the amount of beds, and there is no ventilation. You can, however, ask for a fan at the reception, something that really helped out.
M. V.
Very helpful staff. Eager to help and ready to explain where everything is. The beds are good. Breakfast is alright. The bar can seem a bit loud if one is not in a drinking mood. (I later realised there were free earbuds at the help desk)
J. W.
The rooms were large. Scenic location and building. Good amenities and friendly staff. Lots of local places to visit. Great public bathrooms private showers. Only down side was the heat control during the heat wave of 27 while we were there.
L. M. (. M.
It's good but not as before. I've been here a few months ago and it was awesome. Wi-Fi is slow in the main common area, no charging outlets in the big bedrooms, kitchen very small, toilets away from the bedrooms, three rows high of beds make it crammed. But I guess that's London. All in all better than other hostels around.
C. C.
If you're looking for an awesome Hostel in London, Palmer's Lodge Swiss Cottage is definitely the right address. I've been staying here four times over the last year and always had a very nice time. The bathrooms get cleaned several times a day and since every bunk in the dorm rooms has curtains there's also a lot of privacy. Most of the staff are very friendly and always try to help!
N. S. G.
Good location to get a underground into Central London, safe area, nice place, clean. My 6 bed mixed dorm was pretty much like any other in London that you can get for cheaper, but I guess it was all that was available when I booked, never saw the cool looking rooms that are pictured on hostelworld where I booked from. Pub is ok. Personally wouldn't stay again.
S. S.
Lovely building. Very nice self service restaurant with good food and ale. Comfy and cozy. Nice common room. Very clean. Bathrooms can get very busy during morning hours.
S. C.
Absolutely fantastic hostel, I stayed for a weekend last July and the staff were great, it's location although kind of out of the way is really close to the tube so it's not a big deal. The free WiFi in the lounge was also a bonus and the rates were cheap and the place was well kept
C. N.
A great place to stay in London. Communal rooms or private and en suite available at EXCELLENT prices. Friendly staff and a great bar that does delicious food. Safe and secure with a great atmosphere. Can't recommend highly enough.
K. S.
Great location, helpful staff, big beds, one thing I didn't like is that my booking was cancelled without letting me know... I think if there is an issue with card payment you still should have a chance to pay with other card or cash on arrival. Lucky there was empty space for me otherwise I would just be left with no place to stay overnight.
A. T.
My favourite hostel. Clean, cozy, the staff is nice. I love the rooms with all the beds with curtains. The building is historical improved with facilities and services to make it safe and comfortable. Amazing.
M. R.
Spent almost two weeks at this hostel. Beds were decent, bathrooms always seemed to be clean. Most of the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The only issue I had was in a dorm of 12 guys, it really smelled badly of feet.
h. h.
This accommodation was more than I expected (in a good way), though up to the options you might stay with lots of other people. But it wasn’t that uncomfortable as all the beds had their own private curtains!
D. D. T.
I spent three days there and it was amazing. Great building (feels like to be in the Harry Potter saga), cosy atmosphere, perfect accommodation, good position, nice staff, tasty and rich continental breakfast. Last but not least, clean bathrooms. I strongly recommend it for a cool holiday in London!
D. P.
Great rooms, lovely stuff, breakfast spot on (4.5£ all you can eat, continental) outlets often full and constant problem with the room card. On the Jubilee line 4th stop from Bond street. I am very happy with my stay. 7.5 out of 10 and I would definitely go again.
N. H. A.
Would love to stay here again. They have separate bathroom for female. And security wise its good. Only that I suggest you bring your own lock for in room locker.
A. F.
very great place to stay..those guys are awesome. i had lot of fun qt the reception. the room was clean, also the bathroom looked great. I had only one night there, but it was great
M. G.
A beautiful building and it definitely has it's charme. The rooms are beautiful, too. Definitely enjoyed my stay. Receptionists were super friendly and polite, breakfast tasted good.
R. R.
Helpful staff, amazing period building, comfortable bunks. All-you-can-eat breakfast is reasonably priced at 4.50. Guinness pump in bar but was given a can, which at 4.50 is a little cheeky I thought. This is my second visit and for a central-ish London hostel you can't go wrong.
R. D.
Nice. We stayed for 3 nights, and it was just ok. Nice staff, nice building, very clean, really good breakfast. Good location.
Disadventages: incredibly small shower!!! And poor wifi signal in the evening also.
Easy check-out.
N. L.
This hostel was very nice, clean and enjoyable.
It was my first stay at a hostel, and I was not disappointed. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking to stay at a hostel.
D. H.
Great hostel. Close to the underground. The toilets her cleaned often and they serve breakfast for 4,5£ until 10:00 in the morning. The reseption is open 24/7 and the building is beautiful aswell. If you are considdring a hostel in London this could be it for you.
M. Y.
The staff is very kind and helpful! The rooms are nice. A large common living room is available. It's a great place! Will stay there again.
A. C.
I believe the establishment has closed, although they have said closed temporarily for more than 2 years.
A. R.
Enjoyed my stay here. Bed was very comfortable for a hostel and designed in a way that allowed privacy. Friendly staff, ok food. Building interior is tasteful.
T. R.
The building is made of wood. It's a nice beautiful old building. Two stars are disappeared since I slept in the room of 20+ beds. And the room is also close to the concierge. I could here all phone rings from concierge and when people walk into the room, it's really hard for them to not make a noise when they step on wooden floor. It was a little hard night.
S. I.
Very belated review but the rooms and showers were super clean, friendly helpful staff and we met a great crew when we were there. Close to the tube too
C. L.
Nice place & transport. The facility is very nice with the price. The bed frames are wood, firmly, comfortable & warm. With hair dryer & water fountain, very friendly place for backpackers
A. J. (.
Fantastic place to stay. Not what you expect from a hostel. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Also prime location. Would highly recommend and stay again :)
H. F.
I have to admit that Palmers lodge is more than an hostel. The rooms are very clean; the common areas are always full of people from all around the world. I was expecting to have to pay for everything but I have found most of the services were free. Free good breakfast, free internet. Showers and bathrooms are clean and the room has the bed already made (I went to many hostels were you need to make your own bed). I will definitely go back to palmers lodge when in London again.
Once again after 2 years still the same! Strongly recommended
M.
Palmers Lodge is centrally located in London. It's a great location to base yourself for getting all over London. It's a beautiful old hostel with modern updates. The staff is very friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend staying at Palmers Lodge in London.
V. V.
It was cheap. However, do NOT stay on the 3rd floor. I roasted up there. Not to mention the elevator doesn't go up that high. That is a real pain when it comes to luggage. Drinks at Breakfast taste horrible. The dinner menu was very affordable, I have the burger and chips for a fiver. A cider was about 3.20.
J. H.
Lift inside, big living room, good price of coffee, breakfast is bit more then usual but thay offer more varaity, I love shadows on bad, so you can have a bit privacy in shared rooms. Think thay have loundry as well.
J. T.
Stayed there for one night to visit the Wembley Stadium for a Champions League game. It is a great hostel for students and low budget accomodation and also gives you the feeling of warmness . The rooms with 1 bunker bed is really weird for people that are not used to it and it is really small to fit 2.
A. S.
Nice hostel and amazing breakfast. Clean and tidy. Some members of staff might do with a little more passion for their job!
M. C.
Wonderful stay. The breakfast lady could have been nicer about a guest accidently dropping the food cover and breaking it. Otherwise, it was a beautiful place with great hospitality.
C. G. D. S.
Palmer's lodge is hands down the best hostel in London, beautiful building, comfy beds, curtains for bunks, easy access plugs & extension cables, friendly staff, breakfast canteen, social lounge with games and a bar. You can rent private rooms too. I've stayed in a lot of Hostels around London and had to live in them for a while and I can't recommend Palmer's lodge enough. Swiss cottage is also a easy place to travel from.
C. H.
I stayed here on my own after my mother had to go back home for a family medical emergency and the people here were just so lovely about all of it. I had a wonderful stay and felt very safe in a foreign country! Would recommend to anyone I know travelling in the UK and London!
M. M.
Was there in April 2017. Great atmosphere, feel like in Harry Potter! The room was clean and beds had curtains for intimacy
H.
Clean, quiet hostel with excellent service. Located within walking distance of some London attractions (London Zoo, Abbey Road). Has bus stops and an underground station within a couple hundred metres.
A. J. G. C.
Excellent place to stay. Delicious breakfast and very good atmosphere at the bar. Should improve or expand some restrooms, but overall, very good hostel!!
J. S.
I've stayed at Palmer's Lodge about 20 times and it's a great hostel. Mainly young people and always someone who want to talk if that is what you want or you can just be an observer. I highly recommend it.
B. S.
Stayed at Palmers Lodge in June of 2014 during an unusually warm weekend. Poor ventilation in the room but management brought up a fan which did help. Stayed in a 12 Bed Female dorm which was SO COOL! I've never seen triple bunk beds before. and it reminded me so much of Harry Potter (which I loved). Also right by an underground station. Would definitely stay again!
V. H.
A great place to stay. PROS: inexpensive, restaurant and bar, very clean, nice people, great location, inexpensive food, free internet, quiet rooms. CONS: slow internet, needs more shelves in bed areas and shower rooms. Slooooow lifts so need to use the numerous stairs. (Good for walking off those chocolate croissants at breakfast! )
C. A.
What a cracking place!! It's got an awesome bar and the dorms are an excellent layout and love how they've made platforms as an extra floor in each roon. What a cracking place. I know where I'll be staying whenever in London, without a shadow of a doubt.
M.
Different from other hostels in its home-y feel. Historic-feeling building but facilities are modern. Polite friendly staff.
M. E.
4th time I've stayed here and can't fault it. Clean and tidy. Plenty of showers and toilets. Nice bar and staff and other guests are always polite.
L. V.
Nice place. Comfy room, bar, and lounge. The staffs are friendly.
The only problem only the small kitchen, it has only 1 stove and not enough room for cooking.
T. H.
Spacious common areas, interesting people. Was a good stay of 3 days for me and the prices are as affordable as they come. Thanks to desk staff for all the help and patience!
M. J.
Great clean hostel, intresting building and some quirky rooms. Stayed in a 3 bed privet room which was a really fun loft space. Great price and easy to get too the city
L. T.
Great friendly service. Clean toilets, vintage room. Self catering service too small and can hardly cook anything. Great breakfast available at a reasonable price. Will stay again.
N. R.
Located very close to the tube station. Very good service. Everything in very good condition. Lavatories and showers cleaned regularly. Rooms are not that big, but for the price it just couldn't be better.
G. A.
Stayed here recently, had a fantastic time. Was worried at first as we were staying with other people but we ended up having a great time and parting with the spanish girls in our room all the time. Great fun!
M. B. T.
Great location and big rooms, although beds were a bit tiny. Few showers and toilets, although clean and functioning. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.
L. o. B.
Everyone was super friendly, the staff as well as the other guests. The bathrooms are clean and the breakfast is awesome! :) I will definitely come back!
M. A.
The best London hostel! Absolutely amazing! Very high quality. Everything is just perfect! Highly recommend that you stay here!
A. M.
Amazing cheap place to stay in and clean! Now they should make an effort about coffee ... as they are running this place like 20 years ago, with disgusting coffee machine ?
The same for breakfast using old machine ... with powder coffee ... in 2017, pastries and coffee should be part of the deal !
E. R.
Love this hostel! Nice mansion. Good service and friendly staff. Easy access by bus or tube. And oh... You would love to taste their hot chocolate!
E. K.
Nice atmosphere. Shared rooms do not feel cramped. Bathrooms and toilets are quite clean but a little small.
B. C.
Short showers (for people over 6 ft). Over all friendly place and nice living situation. Easy to get around the city by bus (compared to American standards).
A. A.
Cool place, great dorms, lots of stuff for guests and good common spaces...
Only issue is the tiny guest kitchen for such a huge place, with 1 standard fridge
S. H.
Located nearby Finchley Road, Palmers Lodge is within walking proximity to commercial complex O2 Centre. Supermarket franchises in the vaccinity include Sainsbury's, Iceland, and Waitrose.
Easy access to Swiss Cottage Public Library and Underground Station enables use of public resources and transportation.
Metropolis' natural greenery
Hampstead Heath is adjacent to Swiss Cottage, offering visitors and residents a popular leisure option. Other favourite culture and leisure destinations within proximity include Abbey Studio and Freud Museum.
Breakfast buffet, Victorian architecture, and pub are some of PL's attractions.
L. i.
All you can eat breakfast for low price. Great stay. Friendly staff. Good location. Close to Tube station. Would stay again. Low price.
C. M.
Fantastic hostel! Beautiful building and fun bar in the basement. Couldn't believe it was only $17 a night. Best value ever!
M. M. D.
Clean, friendly, reasonably priced.
Great social atmosphere.
All the front desk staff are AMAZING!
T.
Great atmosphere, amazing staff & a really nice place to stay. The best hostel I've had the pleasure to stay at!
J. B.
Lovely Hostel. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Cheap stays. The vending machine is great. Location is a bit boring.
H. V.
A beautiful hostel where even the bunkrooms have a nice sense of privacy; each bed has curtains and feels like a little home away from home.
N. V.
Good value for money. Clean, quiet. Only thing is that the beds are too short (I'm 6'2/1.88 and I couldn't get comfortable).
L. D.
As a hostel it's very good, it's near to underground, there are many rooms available, and even in rooms with more people it's comfortable, the shared areas are really good, the breakfast is ok
B. Y.
Private room was comfortable and quiet.
Check in and out process easy.
Staff overheard moaning about a group of customers.
Α. Σ.
Very clean but I'm pretty sure that a Hobbit owns the place...... Good luck if you are over 1.80cm.
N. M.
Classy place. A palace for extraverted people. Not a lot of quiet space for people but overall it is a fantastic hostel. The restaurant is pretty good too.
G. M.
Tiny rooms but you get what you pay for! The bathroom light won't turn off? They delivery fresh towels while you're out.
F. W.
An amazing place for staying in much much better than 4 starts hotels
U could meet with awesome ppl from all around the world
You are not just stucked in a room like others
Everyone should try them
I wish I could give them 10 star ratting
Beds are memory foam toilets are clean staff is very helpy and well managed
J. C.
The staff is very kind and helpful. The rooms are sufficient for those who choose to stay in a hostel, and it's close to the tube.
J. D.
Nice professional staff and management, spacious building with tranquil feel. On the downside, it has a poor out of the way location, and it's a bit infested with oblivious Americans who don't know how to live considerately with others.
Y. R.
Much nicer than most hostels, large luggage storage in dorms, and in a great area that is well connected to NW and central London.
K. 8.
Brilliant place to stay. Super friendly staff, nice accommodation and great price. Would recommend and will revisit.
R.
Great location, close to the underground station. The rooms were little dark but otherwise was ok. Helpful and friendly staff.
F. G.
Had a one-week stay there. Clean bathrooms, comfortable rooms, kind staff, nice bar & lobby. Would stay there again!
F. V.
A wonderful place that was very quiet and full of fun with tourists and staff at breakfast and check-in. It is fully decked out in splendid British decor and loved it.
S. P.
Best hostel in the world! This place is awesome, the house is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast is excellent.
P. Y.
For the price you can't go wrong. Bed are comfortable and the place is kind of Victorian. Pub is good good selection of beverages and cheap :)
T. H.
Decent and classic, staff is friendly here. Couldn't expect the hygiene level is the top as you share the space with unknown others. Sound barrier is quite weak.
G.
A nice place, building, outside, inside, near the centre of London.
Friendly people of the hotel to help you.
The toilet, the bathroom …
R. P.
Location was good, as you can get pretty much anywhere you need to via the tube. Food was good but nothing to write home about. Building is very beautiful.
T. M.
really beautiful place, only there for one night but the service was very helpful, they even printed off my flight information for me.
S. J.
Great place to stay dont miss it!
Hostel management is lovely - they know how to make you satisfied!
Y. Y.
Good fir the price and location. Helpful staffs. But the bunk bed is three decker. kind of packed and crowed.
H. C.
Lovely staff, comfortable atmosphere, clean communal bathrooms, comfortable bed with storage below. Near underground station and bus stop.
A. A.
Rooms are okay for a hostel. Breakfast buffet is very nice, but not the typical English breakfast. Public transport near hostel.
G. M.
Good budget hostel, a little short on bathrooms. A low cost bed in London. Overnight residents parking for £5.
N. W.
Great place to stay.Well run with efficiency and charm by delightful people.I am a very senior citizen and much enjoyed the ambience & the company of intelligent young people. The lounge is a great place to relax...comfortable leather settees and armchairs...quite the biz!It is however,a backpackers hostel therefore space is a premium...carry minimum luggage...Enjoy!
A. D.
Really nice place to stay. Cheap , lovely and not far away from the tube station. Definitely would recommend it
L. M. M. V.
my permanence in this hostel was amazing, good and funny people.
the hostel is extremely clean and tidy. It was my first home in London.
M.
Lovely service, beautiful building, very comfortable accommodations, 24/7 reception, free tea and coffee - just a perfect hostel!
E. G.
This location is nice but not fancy. It's a good place to stay. Near the underground and some good restaurants.
s. m.
One of the best Lodge/Hostel in Central London with the best hospitality.
And 24x7 accessible to the reception.
I. G.
One of the check-in personnel was rude. A couple of guests noisy and rude. Otherwise, it's safe and clean.
g. g.
Nice hostel in a restored Victorian mansion.
Clean and spacious rooms with comfy beds, close to underground stations.
T. J. H.
Great place, clean and very customer satisfaction orientated. Decent breakfast available
R. H.
Lovely restored house made into a hostel, rooms are cheap, its near to the undergound, they have their own resteraunt and you get breakfast too
D. K.
Such a nice experience I'll never forget. Thanks Palmers team. Cozy and warm atmosphere, healthy breakfast and clean rooms
J.
Pretty decent! Comfortable, clean & close to public transport. Would recommend above other London hostels.
S. I.
Very nice hostel, very clean and warm, located in a charming old British building,it's probably one of the best hostels in London
D. R.
Very nice rooms. Everything is comfortable, clean, and organized. I will stay here again.
E. M.
Good to stay but no customer focused. No shampoo, soup, and towels. You have to bring your own.
A. L.
I had a really hard time finding this at night because it wasn't located in front of the streets. It's behind another building in front of the streets. Nice place to stay especially when there are curtains for the beds and no bunks.
h. j.
Beautiful hostile with lots of potential friends. Staff was helpful. Many board options to choose from. There's a kitchen and a bar/restaurant in the basement.
D. D.
Good. But little expensive for hostel.
Double bed, breakfast, clean rooms.
Wifi have crashes and sometimes poor signal
T. e.
very nice staff and satisfying food, I went here with a group of 20, we had 2 dorms, wonderful experience
C. R.
Very quiet hostel conveniently located near an underground stop. The house is beautiful and the beds are very comfortable.
I.
Bed was nice, however one toilet did not work, so there were only two toilets for 30 people, which is not enough in the morning
M. D.
It's just a hostel but it's one of the best lodging places i've ever been. I really recommand.
K. L.
Awsome place to sleep had a good night you just need headphones or earplugs in case people snor. bar is nice
l. l.
It's a great place to stay if you're on a budget. Great location very near Central London.
L. P.
Wonderfull area, very nice rooms, staff very kind and don't forget to go to the internal bar!
J. K.
Best shower ever in the girls dorm!! Love this place.. My daughter and I had a fun time here.. Great all around !!
S. M.
Great hostel. Way to expensive though. Staff are ok, could be friendlier. Facilities are excellent.
A. P.
This is the first hostel I've been at and I absolutely loved it. The place looks beautiful and the atmosphere is very enjoyable.
J. V.
Friendly atmosphere, clean and comfy beds, close to the city centre and their prices are decent!
C. L.
It's rustic. The room 303 in the attic may not be comfortable for everyone, but I loved it and I slept beautifully
K. B.
