P. W.This is a quiet, comfortable and fantastically well-located hotel, very close to Marble Arch Tube and numerous buses, and only a few minutes walk from Hyde Park. The rooms are really clean, the breakfast are delicious, and most striking, the staff are exceptionally caring. While we were there, my partner became ill and had to go to hospital. The proprietor, Gail, and all the staff were exceptionally kind and caring and helped us immensely. the Parkwood is truly a home away from home.
M.It was a really lovely stay at this modern and well located hotel. I did use it as a 58yo male single traveler from Germany on occasion of a 4 days trip. I arrived at Paddington station. It is only a 20 minutes walk away. Checking in was easily. Staff at reception and everywhere else is very kind and giving helpful advice. The hotel room and esp. its bathroom were tidied up and clean perfectly when I arrived. Everything was according the description given on this website. The furniture was in good condition. The bed and the mattress were comfortable. No street noise and no disturbance caused by next-door neighbour were noticeable. A tasty English breakfast is served according to your wishes and as lot as you like. Marble Arch and its underground station are only about 900 ft away. The hotel is highly recommended. As said above I would love to come back.
j.Great location. The one member of staff I met seemed nice. The room I stayed in was quite small and the floorboards made a lot of noise. The walls were thin and the decor was old. However, the room was extremely clean. The shower was also old but it worked fine!

Check in/out - very simple, especially as I had paid in advance, check out was basically hand over the keys and leave!
Security - they give you a key for the front door which saves not calling security. The rooms have 2 locks.
Room quality - the rooms are well decorated and clean, and come with a fan, TV, kettle, chiller, ensuite, towel and cleaning products each. The beds were fairly comfortable too. Ensuite was nice and clean too. You only get a single small towel though so I'd recommend bringing another for the floor or hair.
Signage - signage inside could be a bit better, for example room 18 is in the basement
Staff - only spoke to the receptionist and she was very nice and helpful.
Location - great being right next to Marble Arch.
Breakfast bar - available for £5 but I went to McDonalds instead which is a very short walk away (and towards the station) and cheaper!
Noise - was quiet all evening and got a decent sleep
Chargers - there is a multi-port UK plug available in the room right next to the beds which is perfect.
WiFi - comes with a free wifi for all guests to use and comes with a password.
Overall the quality/design of the hotel is very quaint and a little dated in the corridors, but the rooms are modern.
Only caveat is the phone in the room wasn't working but I forgot to report it.
R. Q.The staff are very polite, and the free breakfast in the morning with unlimited toast was very good, but unfortunately we didn't sleep very well. The bed was small for a double and not too comfortable and the room was very hot, although they do supply you with a fan. We stayed in the middle of December and slept with the window wide open and the fan on, apart from this very reasonable for one night

The shower in the basement room is unusual, has a big step up to it, and very slippy when wet. Take a step stool and a non slip bathmat if staying in that room.

The staff were very helpful and the room had plenty of storage, the beds were comfortable and good bed linen and towels were provided. Breakfast was made to order which is so much better than a buffet in our opinion and if you wanted more you could have it. Thank you Parkwood for a great stay, we will be back next year.
M. C.My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It is a very comfortable, nice, clean and well placed hotel. The rooms are a bit small but is a common thing in London. The service and people were great. Is like living in your small house there in London. Recommended!

My husband, my daughter and I stayed comfortably in small room. Enjoyed a walk in Hyde Park just across the street. Staff allowed is to stow our bags in reception while we attended an appointment at the US Embassy. Lovely time will stay again.
M. W. (.Lots of road noise, breakfast doesn't start until 0730 and nothing offered as a pack-up alternative, noise from other rooms from flushing toilets, plugging in items and turning switches on/off is very noticeable as the walls and floors are thin.
Rooms also very small, uneven staircase and no lift.
Bring ear plugs and leave after 8am and I am sure you will have a better experience than we did
P. S.Excellent location, convenient to everything. Clean, basic rooms - small, but all the necessities, including tea & coffee things. Very good breakfast to get you started. Really nice staff. Be aware that there is no lift and a lot of stairs. There is also no AC. Overall, an excellent value. We would definitely stay here again.

L.Friendly place, very well located, with a number of defects that can be overlooked given the price and location, except for one very important thing: The floor boards from the room above mine made so much noise that I was woken up violently when my upstairs neighbour woke up at 5:30 am, ruining my sleep. I put ear plugs but it did not help, so loud was the noise from the boards above. I think when you book a hotel room, you are entitled to a minimum, and the most basic is to have a relatively quiet environment, even if you'd expect some noise from cars or flushing of toilets. I will, sadly, not come back only for that reason.

A. W.The first question they should ask you is...can you climb stairs. The room we had was on the 2nd floor in their language. Ours, it would have been the 3rd floor. The shower was so small you could not bend over to wash yourself! I won't go back unless we can get a ground floor room.

Hotel con buena ubicación, lo malo es que no tiene elevadores, el acceso es por escaleras muy estrechas y antiguas, el sistema de calefacción es muy rústico y simple, el horario del desayuno es se 2 horas, así que debes planear bien tu día para no perderte lo. El personal es amable, siempre te ayuda, las áreas están limpias, al igual que los baños. Es un lugar recomendado para jóvenes mochileros, no lo recomiendo para parejas mayores o familias.
