M. L.Phoenix hotel was a wonderful stay for both me and my wife. It was so close to many tube stations and allowed us to get anywhere in London fairly quickly. The rooms were comfortable enough for the price. We would stay here again. Just check the whether before you do, if it is fairly windy the windows can rattle and keep you up!
A. H.I tend to stay at this hotel when travelling alone as I feel safe and know the surrounding area very well. This was my third stay at Phoenix and it has always been exceptional. The staff are very polite and friendly and the hotel amenities are great. A special thanks to Caramel for a great service at breakfast (apologies if I have the name wrong)

We all thought this is a great hotel, the staff were all very nice, couldn't do enough to help us. We particularly liked the room for 3 people which had the third bed up some stairs which was great for privacy and made the room seem bigger. It's lovely to be able to have a proper bath when on holiday instead of just showers. We enjoyed the cooked breakfast as well, it came out quickly and set us up for the day! We will be back next time we need a hotel in London :D
T. B.Great location for a hotel. Its nearby the Kensington Palace and Hyde Park and The underground is also nearby. The floor of the hotel is a little bit noisy. The rooms are clean and not too small. Also we forgot the cuddly toy of our child in our room at the day we went back to our country. They sent it to us by parcel afterwards! Great service.

K. J.This hotel has amazing, polite and accomodating staff! It is beautifully clean and I slept well in the bed I had. I was late to breakfast but the reception staff spoke to Carmel, who works the breakfast shift and she accommodated my lateness with a friendly warmth that was really assuring. I'd like to say a special thanks to Carmel as we had a little chat and she was a really REALLY lovely person. I can't fault my stay in any way and I recommend the Phoenix Hotel as a very good stay at a very good price. Loved it! Thank you Carmel xxx
M. A.This is one of the best hotels I stayed at during my trip in London. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed and offered assistance and the room was already ready before even the check-in time. Lovely hotel , excellent location in the middle of many restaurants, 2 minutes walking distance to the underground, and 4 minutes walking distance to the Hyde Park. Rooms are modern, super clean, and the bed was very comfy.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel home with their willingness to help. After my first night, I got an upgraded room. Special Thanks to (Mary) for offering me the upgrade. The restaurant is great and offer a good quality breakfast. The staff are so nice and polite.
I would definitely recommend Phoenix Hotel to London travelers. Thank you guys!

A. H.Lovely hotel. Comfortable room, slightly small but cosy. Staff so friendly. Our breakfast was continental but tasty and you can order a hot breakfast. Staff in the breakfast room were lovely especially a Irish lady (sorry couldn't remember ur name) so kind and friendly, always a smile.
R. T.We stayed here in August and, although the lift was out of service and we had to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to our rooms, we would definitely reccommend the hotel. The customer service was excellent and the rooms were clean and spacious. Will definitely stay here again when we're in the city!
S. W.Lovely hotel and one of the cheapest in london during my stay ! I needed to be close to Portobello Road market, and this is within walking distance (10mins) of the market and within 5mins of Bayswater underground. Fab location, hotel staff lovely, my single room was fantastic - I asked for the split level and loved it! I've stayed in many smaller single rooms in London so I knew the shower room would be tiny, but the shower itself was powerful and the bed super comfy.
The usual kettle and tea coffee and biscuits were in the room, plus a continental breakfast included. For a continental there was a good choice on the buffet, even if I usually go for an English breakfast while in England.
Anyway, for the price, the situation, the comfort of the room I would definitely come back here, and well done to all the staff for their kindness and professionalism.

My only criticism is that the walls between rooms are Very thin and I could hear almost Everything my neighbours were doing! I could have changed rooms but only had 1 night left. I would stay here again as it is 15 min walk from Paddington and only a 5 min walk to Bayswater underground station

Z. D.Loved every stay at this hotel - the price/quality ratio is top. Decent rooms with 3 towels per person, heating that one can regulate on their own. Breakfasts are fine, nothing special, but enough for a few nights stay - you can order coffee and tea for free during the breakfast times. Overall, it is a small family run hotel with friendly staff who will never disturb you. Oh and you can also ask for an iron and ironing board - they will be more than happy to help

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. This hotel is in a great location - round the corner from 2 tube stations and only a nice walk to Hyde Park. We would definitely stay again at the Phoenix Hotel and we would have no hesitation in recommending it.
T. L.Tastefully decorated, lovely room overlooking the gardens, close to the tube and Greek Orthodox Church. Buffet breakfast offered a good selection. No restaurant as such for evening meals but within a five minute walk you could eat the world. Clean with all the essentials like hairdryer, shampoo, etc.

H. S.Definitely the cleanest 3 star hotel you will ever get. I spent 15 days here in a single room. Though the room was small, it was comfortable and well equipped, and the bed size was great. The staff were nice and helpful. The included breakfast menu although repetitive but it was a nice continental breakfast with fairly good selection. I would come back again.
A. P.A very nice, old hotel that has been recently renovated. The hotel is very centrally located near Kensington Park but totally quiet on a side street. Until the next underground (Bayswater) about 3 minutes past various restaurants and supermarkets. The hotel is very comfortably furnished and the staff is very friendly and competent. The elevator takes some getting used to and the walk to the room was very narrow, which was very funny. The rooms are clean and cozy. Breakfast was ok. We felt very comfortable there.

D.Okay hotel near public transport for a reasonable price, staff weren't very friendly and when I checked in I was told not to have a parties in our two room we had booked and I was rather disgusted by this comment as, yes we were three 19 year olds but we weren't there to party nor was it appropriate for the receptionist to make such a comment. Breakfast was disappointing as there wasn't many options nor were the options very good.
A. S.I was here for 2 nights, I got a single room ensuited with shower. It was a room on the 4th floor. The room is really small, as it has a space for a single bed beside a relatively large window (which I like), and a small table top and a small desk. The room is fine for a quick stay and for people who dont have big luggage, as you wont be able to open it in your room. It is abit old but clean. I didnt try their breakfast. Room has basic amendities and price is reasonable. Area is slightly doggy, but has alot of restaurants and a few coffee chains around. 2 stations are situated about 3-6mins walks from hotel, very convenient. Paddington station is about 2km away.
M.Lovely hotel. I loved the flowers and deco around the reception. Rooms were very clean but small. The bathrooms were ok but could do with a deep clean. A very good plus is it's proximity to stations and Hyde park. The reception could hold your bags for you but at your own risk. The luggage hold is open to everyone. A down side is that the rooms are not air conditioned, the windows have very little space, however a fan is provided if needed.

Was trying to find the Phoenix HOSTEL but got lost along the way 😂 Agnes opened the door for me and was extremely helpful - giving me directions and letting me charge my phone - she was a fantastic help, thank you so much (also the Phoenix Hotel is definitely much nicer than the place I went to in the end).
A. H.The hotel is nicely decorated with modern style rooms and lobby. The rooms are small, but ok for two persons for a few days. The windows don't offer any insulation towards sound from the street. The breakfast (included) is minimalistic, but can be extended for a small cost.

H. M.Lovely, clean hotel. It is in a great location. We prefer firmer beds but it was still perfect for us. There were three of us and we had plenty of room. We had a warm welcome and she was happy to answer questions we didn't even ask.
G. E.Hotel is fine and the location quite good. Breakfast better than some London continental options. Sadly the rooms are just too small for comfort. Hotel lounges and bar are very nice. Staff during our eight day stay were efficient, but not overly friendly. Next time we will pay just a little bit more for a full sized hotel.

M.Very average hotel in a good location for visiting London about two blocks from the Tube (the reason for the 3 stars is the convenient location and included breakfast which was very good with great staff). NOTE that this hotel has an air conditioned lobby but the rooms do not have AC! Further the windows do not open far enough to let much outside air into the room. The outside temperatures during our visit were warm however our hotel room was hot at night which made for bad sleeping! The staff provided us with a fan but because the windows do not open widely, it did not help much. The bed was fine, the rest of the room was average and clean. When I asked the desk staff person about lack of AC the person simply said that their advertising never said anything about an AC in the rooms! Also, when we checked in, the same desk person insisted we pay the entire bill when we checked in rather then when we checked out as their policy stated - was this because people were cancelling and checking out after they noticed the very hot rooms?
S. H.Phoenix Hotel is a warm, comfortable and well located hotel. I spent almost two weeks there and I it felt just like home. Besides, it was great that they had gluten-free bread, which is something still uncommon in most hotels.
If you're looking for a nice hotel located very close to subway stations and in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of the city, this is the right place for you. Also, you're only two or three blocks from Kensington Gardens, one of the most beautiful parks in London.
If I ever go back to London, I'll definitely stay at the Phoenix Hotel again.
E. B.The hotel is a perfectly efficient cheap spot. Service, cleanliness, security, location, etc were all great! I have one huge complaint, and it seems insignificant but it seriously impacted my trip - the pillows are so incredibly uncomfortable that I could barely sleep and woke each morning with head/neck aches. I am NOT particular about pillows but these seemed engineered to be as horrible as possible! Like sleeping with an encyclopaedia under your head.
L. P. L.Friendly and helpful staff. Facilities are new but not good. Shower flowrate is too small for a proper shower. The heater in bathroom not funtioning, but staff is kind to provide a portable heater. The room is not equipped with air conditioning or ventilation. Table fans provided did help to improve the air circulation.
y. z.Great place to stay in London. The location is great. Very close to good shopping destinations, couple of underground stations. Walking distance from paddington (u can get a train from airport to paddington). The hotel staff is very kind and polite. The breakfast menu is great. The staff work tirelessly to get what you want during the breakfast and also remember your choices from the previous days :). Orinta and her team members were kind and courteous. Will visit again. Only drawback i could find was that the rooms had very little space and lack of proper wardrobes. So most of the time, i had to keep stuff in my bags itself.

The breakfast was good, but after 5 days a little more variety would have been welcomed. The room was small, but that is to be expected in Europe. With two convenient underground stations (bayswater doesn't have a lift or escalator) and queensway (if you don't want to jam onto a packed lift -there is a staircase with 123 steps) that were able to get us just about anywhere. The hotel has breakfast every morning that did the job. There was a small store around the corner, restaurants about about a 2 minute walk. Plus a nice coffee shop with some food options about 6 min walk. The rooms are small and cozy. But seems like the walls are paper thin. I'd recommend if you don't mind it being on the smaller side.

We didn't spend a lot of time in our room, as we were busy sight seeing. The rooms are great for sleeping with blackout curtains. The free breakfast is limited, but a nice start to the day. Overall, I would stay here again, but would also look for other options.

G.Clean good sized room. You have to return you key to reception when you leave. Ridiculously had to take 4 pieces of luggage down 2 flights of stairs because the lifts where blocked off. Reception made no attempt to assist. Breakfast is okay. There is also free wi-fi and they allow us to keep our luggage in storage while we travel after check out.

Bayswater station (district and circle) is a 5 minute walk and Queensway station (central) is an 8 minute walk. R. H.Located in Kensington area was nice and quiet and a few blocks from Notting Hill and Bayswater Station. Hotel lobby & common area was cozy and simply decorated. Rooms were surprisingly small with no safe. We walked in and there was just enough room for us to get inside before hitting the bed. Shower was tiny and was not provided with any hair conditioner. Breakfast buffet was decent but could have had more fresh fruit. Front desk staff was friendly and even let me use one of their converters. Breakfast staff was attentive but not as friendly. No gym, but Pure Gym is a 2 min walk and a really nice facility. Many shops and restaurants near by including a good Bubble Tea shop! It was a decent hotel for my first visit to London. Felt safe and clean and good value for the price. But will most likely stay somewhere more stylish with more amenities next time.

W. S.Brilliant 3 star hotel cost to Queensway and Bayswater stations. Rooms are tiny but comfortable. Shower head was facing toward the wall and there weren't any instructions on how to operate the shower. I only found out and I asked reception. On the flip side, the service was fantastic and I was always greeted with a smile in reception and when I enter the breakfast room.

P. C.Phoenix hotel is a budget gem near the heart of London. Great value when you get a good deal (which is most of the time!) Bayswater not my favourite area of London but it's safe and right beside Hyde Park. Rooms are clean and of standard London size and staff are attentive.

In the neighborhood you can find every kind of services: shops and restaurants. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are not so big but very comfortable. T. M.I booked this hotel because they offered wifi in the rooms. Unfortunately it didn't work well. The connection was not stable and was very slow. In four days I had not even half an hour of proper working wifi. So if you need wifi in your room, better book another hotel.
It is hard to get hot water for showering in the morning. If you lower the pressure of water you might have a chance, but then the water is nearly dropping. If there are just a few guest showering, it might be better. So you should avoid showering between 7am and 10am.
And the breakfast room is small. There are three rooms, but the tables stand narrow and sometimes you have to wait to get a table.

La zona intorno è tranquilla e con una vasta scelta di ristoranti, pub e negozi.

Wir waren vor ca. 1 Woche dort für 4 Übernachtung zu Gast und bin zwiegespalten.
Die Rezeption ist 24h besetzt, es wird einem schnell geholfen und ja, es ist sauber.
Der Gang zum Zimmer über den Flur ist abenteuerlich, da unter dem Teppich eine Menge Unebenheiten sind. Im Zimmer angekommen, steht ein Bett, ein Stuhl und ein Schrank darin, mehr als nur beengt kann man sich mit 1,90m kaum bewegen.
Bad & WC in einem sauberen Zustand, nur stößt man sich immer wieder den Ellenbogen, wenn man sich etwas von der Toilette bewegen möchte, da der Spritzschutz der Wanne aus Glas sehr nah ist.
Das Fenster ließ sich schließen, jedoch war es an allen Ecken und Kanten undicht, so dass man „gezwungen“ war, die Heizung anzulassen.
Den Raum dunkel zu bekommen war schwer, da der Vorhang sich nicht bedingt schließen ließ und die Türe solche Spaltmaße zum Flur aufwies, dass die Beleuchtung im letzteren durchkam.
Zudem sehr hellhörig.
Das Frühstück ist eine Zumutung.
4mm dicke HAM Scheiben, gleiches gilt für Tomaten. Keine Auswahl, Käse vorhanden, zumindest sah es aus wie Käse.
Sehr kleiner Raum, sehr kleine Tische, keine Auswahl an Obst & Gemüse.

Die Zimmer waren sauber, und werden wie es aussieht regelmäßig renoviert (tagsüber waren in 2 Zimmern Maler die gerade tapezierten :) da das Tagsüber geschieht, wenn man eigentlich unterwegs ist, merkt man davon natürlich nichts )
