Premier Inn London has decent decor, and fairly nice rooms. The bathrooms in particular were quite nice, and the room quiet at night. Having air conditioning was a very nice touch. A very pleasant night'a sleep.
The restaurant downstairs was alright - a bit expensive for what you get. The staff were very friendly, but the food felt a tad haphazardly put together. I got the sense that they didn't have too many guests dining down there. Good for a quick meal, but probably not for you if you're looking for something special.
All in all I'd recommend staying there if you need to stay in that area,

A warm welcome, room was very clean. The food was very nice, the service at dinner was a little slow but everyone was very pleasant. Stayed here as we were going to The Tower of London the next day which was a 10min walk away so great location. Would happily stay here again. Plus not a bad view to wake up to from our room.

Had a very pleasant weekend stay here. Room was large and clean. Could do with updating but it was very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice selection at breakfast. Would stay here again.

Came here for a four day trip of site seeing and education with our 11 year old son. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was ideal for our needs, 3 minutes walk from the tower of London and about 5 minutes to Tower bridge. Reasonable prices and the usual Premier inn full english breakfast, to help start the day. I would recommend this hotel for anyone seeing the sites or just visiting London.

Good decent location. No car park available.
Full English breakfast available . The reception and service team are indeed very caring of your needs and are quick to respond on any issues

Excelent service! The breakfast was delicious, Mr. Francesco prepared it by himself! Whatever we asked for was ready! Jennifer is super nice and helpfull. Great team and very comfortable accomodation. I think the best for having a city break! Francesco & Jennifer we will be back 😉😊

Great location for London Tower area, Helpful staff and room was excellent. Shower only but good size and powerful.
Wetherspoons across the road

Booked a room in here as their "Hub" hotels are closed up. As it was a bit last-minute it wasn't their typical cheap prices, but did the job for one night.
Easy access - just a stroll up from the Tower Hill tube stop. The front is pretty wide with their common area, a pleasant place to sit and wait if needed, equipped with power points for the mobile traveller.
I'd ordered a twin room, which consisted of them splitting the double bed into two - but the room was still spacious and the windows kept noise out effectively. There's a small but functional shower with a ledge seat in it, and typical drinks-making facilities are offered (tea/coffee). I didn't see bedside power points but the nearby wall had a socket for use.
In all, a good stop away. I'd easily return to this place again.

This place is brilliant. Friendly staff always clean rooms. Placed away from major tourist routes but situated just a short walk away. Near to everything you need shops, tesco express and a Brilliant pub, Wetherspoons.. Well worth a stay whilst in London..
R. W.
A great location for where I wanted to visit,a great price too. This premiere Inn has not been updated but was clean and tidy.Right opposite a weatherspoons too I would definitely book into this hotel again.

We stayed at this hotel (London City) for 5 nights on a recent trip to the capital (just arrived home actually) and really couldn’t be more pleased with our stay. The location is a mere 5 minute walk from Tower Gateway station which connects Tower of London and Tower Bridge, and a 10-15 minute walk in the opposite direction to Aldgate, Fenchurch Street and Liverpool Street. Given the location it’s a great value for money with local access to pubs and restaurants, shops and transport links.
Pros:
- Really friendly staff (we booked breakfast for an additional fee) to cover 5 days we stayed there and we were able to change our time-slot without any difficulty due to the helpful reception desk staff. They were attentive in helping us store our luggage upon arrival and upon departure (check in is at 3pm, check out at 12pm) so if you want to go around the area without your bags, you can leave this in their secure area.
- Breakfast (the days we chose to have it) was plentiful, freshly cooked and a good selection, based on the Lower Ground floor within the restaurant itself. Again, the breakfast staff we encountered were efficient and professional in informing us about the “help yourself” “as much as you like” policy.
- They have free WiFi within the hotel grounds (you simply need to register to connect) or pay an additional £5 for 24 hours to upgrade to their ultimate WiFi - it fits for a browsing purpose, although a little slow and patchy for uploading and streaming purposes, but this is where the upgrade would benefit you..
Cons:
- The hotel maybe needs a little TLC and a slight upgrade - some of the areas are quite run down and a little shabby looking. This wasn’t too much of a problem for us as we weren’t really there all day and primarily used it as a place to sleep and shower. We had an accessible room and it was incredibly dark and dingy with one window (the light was blocked off) as we were placed on the 4th floor in a surrounding courtyard overlooking the church. There wasn’t too many lights in the room and the carpet was stained and dirty looking, as were the curtains and general decor, but again, this wasn’t too much of a problem.
- The room was incredibly noisy - fellow guests were stood outside the door chatting and laughing on the first night until midnight. The second night there was a baby crying continuously at various points waking us up at 1:30 and 3am respectively. We didn’t ask to be moved because it was late. This had rectified itself the following evening. There were noisy guests exiting the lifts and this morning on the day of departure we were disturbed by drilling, hammering and banging (there’s renovation work being carried out behind the building I think!!)
- We arrived into the room with the bin inside the room full (used cotton buds and a can of whisky) however the attendant we called from reception was efficient in dealing with this issue and was apologetic in resolving it, so no real complaints there either - just more attention to cleaning, especially during a time of covid - this is paramount.
Overall, I’d recommend staying at this hotel - the location is bang on, the staff are friendly, the facilities are okay and the value of money compared to other hotels in London is passable, but I would suggest a few minor tweaks to make the next stay more enjoyable in the future.

Lovely sized family room, clean with all you need for your stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location with 3 tube stations within 7 minutes walk of the hotel. Great breakfast selection, wife enjoyed her soft poached eggs the most!
T. S.
Brilliant attentive staff! Lovely cosy room.
We only stayed here one night after 4 nights In a Travelodge, Ian was fantastic in ensuring our stay was enjoyable.
Nothing was too much for him and he did everything with a friendly smile. Both times we have stayed he has been fantastic.
Not to mention for 2 double gin and lemonades in Travelodge it costs over £20, premier Inn it costs just over £12.
Safe to say I know where I will be staying for any future retreats in London.

The Premier Inn at Tower Hill London, is a Very Good one. Lovely, Clean, Bright room. Gorgeous bed and duvet (could have stayed in bed All day) . Perfect Breakfast, plenty of choice, Good Coffee. Absolutely Brilliant Staff. I would definitely stay again
i. m.
Friendly staff, but the hotel is starting to look a little tired. Room was ok, but even though the air-con was off all night, it was still quite loud. My room overlooked the rail tracks when the trains started up 1st thing in the morning a bit of noise there as well. TV was a small 4:3 aspect, but clear picture. Easy access to DLR and tower hill tube.
S. P.
Excellent stay, staff very welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful only gripe was it was warmish and not hot. Location was good for tube and other amenities.
S. M.
Wonderful staff: all the women on reception, housekeeping and restaurant duties throughout our 3 night stay were exceptionally welcoming and warm. Lovely big room, will definitely return. Thank you to all the staff.
P. M.
It was a pleasant stay. TV a little small for the room and the 4pm check in could be an issue if you have to go out early but hopefully that is temporary. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would return.
d. r.
Rooms lovely and clean. Breakfast very good value for money. Evening meal a bit ****
Would i stay again . No doubt at all staff amazing.
T. M.
Stayed midweek, very cheap but all you would expect from a Premier Inn. Good location, a 20 min stroll from Liverpool St, and easy it to get the number 15 bus to Trafalgar Sq. Also a spoons across the road, Goodmans Fields so breakfasted there, much better than the basement restuarant at the hotel. Tower Bridge is a short walk away for some quick sight seeing.
H. F.
Room was huge, staff very friendly and professional. Food wasn't bad either. Very close to Tower Hill tube station, 5 mins walk away and across the road from Tower of London and Tower Bridge
p. s.
Practical hotel
staff were very helpful and friendly
Location was brilliant close to attractions and amenities River taxi and tube
room was OK for our stay bar area was comfortable and had good atmosphere to relax
Restaurant unfortunately let down decor grubby and not full menu
Breakfast was majority OK some things had been too long under the heat lamp
Think this is a training hotel for staff they were very attentive and always ready to help
If just want a crash n go would recommend
I. H.
The location is really good for lots of London attractions many of which are an easy walk away. Room is excellent, clean, well maintained and great value.

Third visit to this budget hotel. Staff very helpful, rooms nice and clean. Great location near Monument and Tower Bridge.
s. l. e.
Always great service and stay. Canteen staff were very friendly and happy to cook vegetarian sausages for my breakfast.
K. S.
Staff are great nice hotel. Clean comfortable and close to London Town. Reasonably accessible to tube ,buses etc
l. c.
Absolutely loved it,central for getting everywhere, next to Tower of London,Tower Bridge, underground station right on the doorstep, premier inn spotless the staff friendly and polite nothing to much trouble
p. c.
Stayed here at weekend food great beer great , good location and staff are more than helpful
Will be staying here again with out fail
H. T.
Stayed here because my fiance had to take a GAMSAT at the Leonardo Royal Hotel (right opposite us!). This hotel was much cheaper and we still got a very big room (to our surprise). The bed was comfy and the shower worked great! We ordered the standard room too.
Only negative is no fridge (I guess common in budget hotels), TV was small and little old probs(?), the tissue holder in the bathroom was placed too low, and only one side of the bed had a double socket.
In terms of traaric noise, didn't hear a lot of traffic, only times I hear it are those who have a loud exhaust or emergency vehicles.
Other than that, they give you all the essentials and comfort to stay in this branch,
And its close to central London and to walkable distance to eat. Plus it's close to Tower Hill DLR, Aldgate station, and bus stops
PS. If you need more coffee, tea, or milk, don't be afraid to ask the receptionist, they are happy to help and give you lots haha
A. M.
Pleasantly surprises after out last Premier Inn experiences. Large room in a great location (a shame the district and central lines werent running which made journeys a little more difficult, but never abusive chore in London). Would recommend. 🙂
D. S.
Very helpful and nice staff nothing to much trouble, good breakfast and evening meal, close to Tower Hill Station.
A. M.
You can't go wrong with a Premier Inn, not been to one yet where I have not had a good night's sleep and an enjoyable stay. Spacious room and a shower unit that looked brand new. Extremely clean with good Covid procedures in place, sanitizer at reception and signs throughout. Had a room that backed onto the train track (reminded me of my childhood home, do used to the noise of trains going past) you could here them but they don't run all night and with the glazed windows it is a muffled low noise. I booked the room almost a year in advance and managed to get an excellent rate considering the location, in the morning I realised that if I stretched a little bit I could see the Tower... Excellent customer service, staff made me feel at home from the moment I walked into the moment I left. I would certainly stay again.
A. L.
Friendly, very helpful staff, clean and spacious room in a Prime location - really enjoyed my 3 night stay at this Hotel. Just 5 min walk from Tower Hill tube and from there 10 minutes from the West End. Would recommend and look forward to my next stay there. Thank you.
D.
Staff were attentive and friendly. Check in and out was fast and efficient. The building is covid friendly and the staff are also.
d. k.
A good hotel over all. Well maintained and cleaned. I stayed on the 5th floor at the back of the building... Interesting views of other people's apartments! The TV was a bit small. The bathroom and shower were really good and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked really well, minimal noise for the location and not enough to interfere with sleep. The room was actually very large, it had tea and coffee facilities and the blackout curtains worked very well. Overall good for sleep and I would stay again. It's close to tube and train links. Staff were helpful and friendly.
S. M.
Great stay. Nice clean spacious room. Good value for money. Great breakfast. Location was ok. Bit out of the way for what we wanted but would stay again.
S. C.
Lovely clean staff very friendly ,love the self service breakfast . Bar at night was wonderful even if I just had coffee. Already booked to go back
A. M.
Excellent location. Tired rooms. Clean. Good breakfast.
C.
The hotel staff were amazing and friendly. The room was basic but clean. The breakfast was first class. The price was also very good. We had a family room both children were really happy. Showers were hot. So close to Tower of London. Will come back thank you
D. S.
Exellent premiere inn stayed lots of times very clean breakfast beautiful.
Short walk 5 min from the Tower of London Tower Bridge ect lots of transport to central London open top buses hop on hop off short walk away.
Highly recommend its 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ from me.
H. P.
Lovely staff and rooms so well kept ,Had a lovely stay there.

I've stayed in London Hotels quite a few times so have seen the best and the worst of them. This is definitely one of the best value for money places to stay in the Capital. Great location which is really quiet at night. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is well worth the extra money. Very highly recommended, will definitely stay here again.
D. G.
Room was of average standard compared to other Premier inns ive stayed in. The all you can eat breakfast is a complete waste of time of money and time. We waited for over an hour for ours and it was wrong when we finally recieved it. Only 2 staff serving and clearing up, but trying the best they could in these current times. So if your in a rush or have a late sitting for breakfast, be warned you will be waiting ages. Other then that, it was ok. Room was clean, air con dont go cold enough ,our room was like a sauna when we got in there, but then for the cheap price at the moment, we can't really complain too much.
J. O.
Excellent hotel location had a big room with plenty of space. Special thanks to Omar who let us check in early.
R. D.
Room was a bit small compared with Kings Cross but great location
C. L.
The staff are faultless, friendly and helpful. We felt very safe staying here during this pandemic. The hotel is spotless and every measure has been taken (and is being followed) to keep everyone safe.
C. S.
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! The room is great, and my friends and I feel comfortable and safe sleeping here.
R. T.
The loveliest staff and comfiest bed. It was an amazing stay :)
D. H.
Great hotel & great staff.
But a bit too close to the railway despite the double glazing.
P. R.
Really looked after on my arrival. You also didn't need a 2nd mortag for a pint. Room was spotless

This branch of the Premier Inn was a pleasant stay.
The breakfast is probably the best thing about the Premier Inn. The selection of breakfast items available is fantastic. You can have cooked items or continental items. You can have a big breakfast like a fry-up or opt for a more 'sensible' healthier breakfast.
The staff here at the front desk and during the breakfast service were great.
The location of the hotel is great - it's a short walk to Shoreditch where you'll have access to lots of restaurants and shops.
F.
Great location and reasonably priced. Will stay there again.
S. C.
Great hotel close to Tower of London, Tower Bridge, and Tower Hill tube.Wetherspoons across the road, and Tesco around the corner.
D. C.
Great place to stay, excellent value for its location. Food amazing. Overall very happy
M. M.
Nice, clean decent size rooms. Great value hotel for the city center
G. T. G.
Excellent service, room, breakfast and location.
I would highly recommend.
P. D.
Hotel is very clean, the rooms are comfortable. My room was at the back of the hotel near the raised railway but I could barely hear when a train went past. Breakfast was standard Premier Inn fayre, fine but nothing to write home about.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is fantastic, a minute away from Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.
I had one meal in the restaurant. It was OK but a bit salty and greasy for my tastes.
L. H.
It was an outstanding hotel if you take price into consideration. The beds were beyond comfortable and breakfast was okay. If you are looking for a nice, central hotel, have no worries booking here. The next tube station is just a 5 minute walk.
A. R.
A perfectly good Premier Inn in the heart of the city of London. Because it's a Premier Inn the prices are reasonably low and the service is predictable and reliable. The room was just as you'd expect, double bed, ensuite with shower (no bath), TV, hanging space for clothes. The room was quiet despite the location. Staff were lovely and helpful. Very close to the Tower of London and London Bridge, within walking distance of many attractions.
J. S.
Standard premier Inn! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and when I went to reception to ask any questions they were more than happy to oblige, breakfast staff were lovely and the maids were very friendly saying good morning etc. Was very pleasant atmosphere. The hotel itself was clean and had everything I could possibly need, the bed as always was glorious and made for a wonderful sleep. I didn't make use of the restaurant in the evening but the cooked breakfast was delicious and the selections offered were great, only thing I would say is steer away from the America pancakes cause they were DRY but aside from that really happy with my stay, only 10minute walk into the centre
S. K.
Great location and reasonable price for London if you book carefully. 5 minutes from Tower of London. Rooms, as always with Premier Inn, veryclean and great staff. Rooms a little smaller than most Premier Inns, but adequate. However I would not stay longer than the 3 nights I did, due to poor views.
D. E.
Stayed two nights in this hotel in Dec 2019. From the outside it's fairly nondescript and is clearly a former office building in that classic late eighties or early nineties style that's been repurposed as a hotel. Inside it's a completely different story as it's bright, modern and fresh. It's very clearly angled towards the business market with power points at virtually every table in the bar and very fast Wi-Fi but it's relaxed enough for thre casual visitor. I had dinner in the restaurant on my first evening and breakfast the next morning. Thre food is good quality and well made and served by a very friendly crew but I did have to help the young waiter out at dinner, it was his first day and he'd never worked in a restaurant before! My room 101 was absolutely huge due to the configuration of the building but still very warm and comfortable with its own aircon control and spacious, spotless bathroom. The location is really convenient for the City and close to Tower Bridge for the sights. The young Scottish gentleman on reception and serving at the bar was incredibly friendly and funny, I forget his name I'm afraid. I will try to stay here again but it is out of my control as my office make my bookings but I will ask!
C. B.
Perfectly fine, but somewhat tired and old rooms. If you want somewhere close to Tower Bridge then it's great, however the rooms on the back are next to the train tracks (right next to) and the rooms themselves are definitely a little tired. It's easy enough to find, though Google maps will try to take you around the back - make sure you go to the main street (not the tiny one).
The TV is around 15" and almost may as well not be there. Overall fine, if its the cheapest hotel in the area I'd say go for it, but there are many better options!
S. R.
Clean room, nice bed, everything in the bathroom worked well (hot water, toilet), hotel located very centrally. Free WiFi works only for one device at once, at night bright light gets through the bottom doorframe from the hallway so that the room never gets really dark. Soap dispenser was not empty, but not really full. Overall, the hotel seems to be fair for London, but I am not super excited, either...
J. D.
I am a frequent guest here. Staff are great, rooms are clean, food is good. I've never had any major issues with this location. The only annoyance if any, is when it is understaffed. For example, on numerous occasions, one member is working the reception desk and bar on their own and queues start to form in both areas. Staff are friendly and helpful. Tescos and Whetherspoons close by if you fancy a change in food. 7 minute walk to Tower Bridge and castle.
M. B.
Booked on a special deal and was given a very large room on the 5th floor. Staff welcome was excellent. Check in was easy. Bathroom and bedroom were both very clean. Breakfast was fantastic.
R. J. 3.
Promodini at the reception was super fantastic. She made us welcome and we will come again for her hospitality, kindness and highest customer care. Ver big and spacious room and Queen size bed. Breakfast was great too. Highly recommended.
M. B.
Stayed for one night and was very impressed. Firstly it was very quiet considering I had a ground floor room. The room itself was imacculate, and the temperature was perfect despite it being a very hot couple of days.
Staff very attentive and caring - greeted with a smile and very polite. Happy hour in the bar is a nice touch but be aware that the buy one get one free means you get two of whatever drink you order rather than two different drinks for the price of the highest.
Didn't try the food so can't comment, but I'd definitely stay here again. Situated a few hundred yards from Tower Bridge which was a great location. Lady at front desk recommended we went to St Katherine's dock when we asked about restaurants, which turned out to be an excellent suggestion.
Easy to recommend this hotel.
P. L.
Loved it! Easily findable after leaving tube. Staff were lovely.
1. That train thing behind hotel doesn't affect sleep really at all unless your a light sleeper. You can really only hear it during the day.
2. It's near some great hotspots in my book, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, great gift shops, the area its self is pretty nice.
3. Its right across from the event we attended so that's a plus too.
4. Beds are comfy
5. Plus it was a really hot weekend so we asked for a bucket of ice to put our own drinks in, which they happily let us have multiple buckets over weekend. Which really did make all the difference.
The weekend its self was great. The hotel is clean and there's really no faults only one for me is I would prefer if they had two of the armchairs in room instead.
P. E.
We had a decent stay, a little train noise at night but not disruptive. Room was very hot with air-conditioning not doing too much to cool down, we didn't realise until late in the stay so didn't want to seek help in pajamas. Overall, a fairly standard premier Inn experience, location is decent only a short walk to tower hill station.
J. M.
Room is spacious and well presented. Staff are helpful and friendly. Evening food was hearty, breakfast is all you can eat full English. Good hotel for the money about 5 minute walk from tower of London. Would stay again.
J. S.
Room was starting to look a little tired but was clean. I told reception about the faulty kettle which didn't switch off and the lid wouldn't shut properly so boiling water went everywhere. I was assured something would be done about it. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious - much better than I had expected. The meal deal is very good value. I would definitely stay here again.
H. D.
Great hotel. Clean rooms, wonderful breakfast buffet with a cappuccino machine! Went with my husband & 2 kids. Was hard pressed finding a room in the UK to fit us all. This room had a King size bed with 2 small comfortable cots. Perfect! Great location near the beautiful London Tower & Tower Bridge.
A. W.
Very good breakfast and comfortable room. Only small point was maid service which failed to change drinking glasses and one morning didn't leave a hand towel.
R. A.
Great Staff and Good Hotel in a central location.
For the price it was justified
C. W.
Wonderful staff, always friendly and polite! The rooms are a great size and have brilliant facilities too. The bar area is welcoming and serve at late hours. This was our second visit and we live the area too as it's within walking distance to shops and the underground. Will be staying here again.
O. L.
I have no words but best superlatives, staff and service awesome.
A. W.
You always know what to expect when booking a premier inn, a comfy bed and good breakfast :-) First time staying in this premier inn, very friendly staff and a clean room. We decided to dine in the Thyme restaurant and glad we did, very nice food was delicious 👍🏻. Thanks for a nice stay
j. a.
We had a room on the 4th floor, we didn't hear the rail at all! Slept great! The location was just a short walk to tower of London, great location and great price. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were awesome! So happy with our stay! Great first few nights in London! Thank you!
K. H.
Staff were friendly, room was clean and comfortable felt at ease during the stay.
J. R.
It's a nice place. The staff is welcoming, the shared areas are clean and orderly. The room that I had in the 5th floor was large and clean. The 'issues' so to speak is that the bathroom is sparse. There's no shampoo or conditioner, few towels and it feels very sterile and lacks warmth - like a hospital bathroom. If you are looking for a place to sleep in a convenient area, this is a solid bet. If you are going for a bit of refinement, perhaps not.
Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz

I love staying at this hotel.
Their rooms are beautifully laid out and their beds are super soft.💕
The only problem i had was connecting the wifi to my tablet (but it connected to my phone) the 2 receptionists were super friendly and helpful with my problem.
Overall i'd recommend this to anyone who's going to a conference or even a convention (though you need to book in advance as the rooms go pretty quickly)
Z. S.
The room and the bathroom is quite basic. It is tidy and clean which is nice but it misses a lot of common furniture: there are not enough wardrobes or shelves in the room, there is no toilet brush in the bathroom and the wifi is irritationally weak.
J. H.
Considering its location, the value of this Hotel is phenominal. The staff were absolutely fantastic, the relationship and fun they had with each other really shone through. The next time I'm in the area for another business trip I will most likely use them again. For those that like a quick drink, there is a lovely public house opposite.
M.
Make no mistake - this is a budget hotel. You get the basics - a clean bed and a clean bathroom but every possible extra has been removed from the offering and the wifi is as slow as I have only seen overseas. That said, you could write some emails but only if you are using one device.
P. J. R.
Lovely budget hotel! Staff super friendly and helpful, and when we asked to switch rooms to one with a bathtub (we only have a shower at home and specifically bought Bath bombs for our time here) they did it right away!
S. A.
Good premier inn minutes walk from the Tower of London. Fantastic location. Rooms large and good quality - probably could do with a referb in due course but perfectly fine. Breakfast really good and fresh. Perfect London location at good prices on a Sunday eve.
D. G.
One elevator held together with tape. Room tiny compared to other hotels in the chain. TV very outdated 4:3 model and too small to be seen from the bed. Food not great considering the cost. In dire need of refurbishment and refreshing.
OK for a one night stop-and-flop but wouldn't do any longer.
K. T.
Old building but they have refurbed it well. Bathroom is basic but the aircon was a life saver! Small TV (smallest I've seen in a premier inn for a while) and be wary- there is a tower hill one AND a tower bridge one, make sure you have booked/are travelling to the correct hotel
J. R.
Staff were friendly & very helpful rooms were clean but i did not get a twin room got a double with two single mattresses & they do not serve food on Saturday or Sunday evenings does not say this on there webpage. And continental breakfast was also basic. It is very basic.
L. G.
Fantastic location, literally right next to the Tower of London site for tourists, and right next to the Tower Hill entrance fo the subway. Staff is very helpful and friendly, good selection of food for breakfast, and the hotel was always clean and well maintained. Also within walking distance of a couple local bars and restaurants.
r.
Premier Inns rarely let you down. They are good value, clean, comfortable properties with decent enough food. My only gripe was the hugely inflated room rates that coincided with a large event at nearby Excel. All the hotels in this part of London do it and you can't help feeling like you've just been robbed. I paid over £750 for 4 nights with the 'meal deal'. The room rates went up by £100 a night while the show was on and it's just taking advantage of people. I love Premier Inn but that's not a good rate for a loyal customer and it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Sort that out and it'll be 5 stars next time.
J. T.
Friendly helpful staff, very central to Tower Hill. We've used here a few times and will definitely use them again!
K. W.
Very welcoming & friendly staff, room was nice and clean will go back again
M. R.
Air con didn't work and I was in the lower ground floor and I couldn't open the window so it was very hot. Booked four rooms well in advance and all of us were on different floors. We stayed at a Premier Inn in South Mimms and that was completely much better than this one.
C. C.
This Hotel is extremely conveniently located ... that's the main reason that I chose it. A 5 minute walk from the Tower of London and London Bridge. Check was smooth, but I got a somewhat nasty surprise when I reached my allocated room .... it was in the basement, and while there was a small sliver of a window, the sky was just not visible from our room. Wish they'd prepared me for this possibility when I was booking on the net! Would've looked for an alternative. Eventually, it wasn't a very big deal because we stayed two nights and hardly spent any time in the room. Breakfast was just about okay but rather expensive. On the whole, I wouldn't recommend it for the simple reason that it doesn't tell the whole story upfront!
R. F.
We booked a double room for a night this weekend, service was extremely simple and pleasent, bed was comfortable and weLL sized, I fit in it with leg room and I'm 6ft 5! The location was perfect as it was in the middle of London, great for sight seeing and lovely for tourists/visitors who want a convenient location to stay at! Would recommend here for anybody who wants a peaceful, comfortable night's sleep.
J. P.
Friendly and helpful staff, got us an iron and ironing board quickly when requested. Comfortable beds and nice temperatures in the rooms. Great location

Stayed here as booked it in January and got a great deal. Room 510 5th floor, end of the corridor. Very clean, quiet. Shower needs to be hotter. Tv in stupid place so when in bed can hardly see it.
Bed comfy. Hotel in good position to tower hill tube. Ate breakfast at wetherspoons, £4 cheaper than hotel.
D. B.
Amazing for the price! Lovely rooms, very comfortable beds and very clean. Many friendly staff. In the heart of tower hill with many landmarks and events around. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
S. s.
Absolutely loved our stay. Very comfortable bed, super quiet at night. The staff were exceptional and couldn't have been more helpful. Would highly recommend.
P. M.
Exactly what you expect of a Premier Inn. Clean, good bed, good room size, decent breakfast, good WiFi. The only item that lets the room down is the TV which is a little small compared to today's standard. Staff were all very polite and accomodating.
G. '. E.
Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Great location, about 8 minutes walk to Tower Hill tube and Docklands Light Rail (DLR) station so easy to get anywhere in Greater London.
Free internet sign in was unreliable, but eventually worked. Internet speed good enough for checking email and browsing, but not for streaming media. A pay-for option is available if you want connectivity good enough for Netflix/YouTube.
The breakfast was excellent. Continental and full English (fried) breakfast options. Staff were happy to prepare eggs to order.
Would stay there again.

On all my business trip to London this is the hotel I like to stay at. Its got nice rooms and a good breakfast and complimentary Wifi, which is great for guys who want to work, while they are in their room. Only bummer being that they no longer have phones in their rooms, so you need to go to the front desk all the time If you need anything.
V. W.
Clean and comfortable as you would expect from premier Inn. Rooms small and only had shower facilities (no bath) but price was reasonable and you can't expect a huge room for less than £80 in central london. Staff friendly and helpful. I didn't eat here so can't comment on the food.
A. B.
Clean, comfortable, roomy shower. A nice bar area downstairs and a good range of food for breakfast (although that does cost extra). Not too pricey and good location for Tower Bridge.
P. C.
Friendly, large rooms, tasty food in the restaurant. Food delayed for 1 hour on Monday which was a pain but they let me know in advance and let me know when it was being cooked, so they dealt with it well!
I didn't get the ladies name but the lady in the restaurant was very nice and remembered my order the next night!
N. “.
Fairly typical London budget hotel, featuring all common Premier Inn accoutrements, but for the most part service was pretty average, particularly in the restaurant. Admittedly I was part of a large group, but details such as dietary requirements went ignored on several occasions, certain orders were delivered incorrectly and as such meals took rather longer than would be expected, even for a large group. On the whole though mistakes were corrected and staff were polite about it so as and when I'm back in the area to work an event, I will likely return.
P. B.
The hotel is quite close to tower bridge and easy to walk to. First the pro's. The staff are very helpful and the food in the restaurant is amongst the best I've had in a premier inn. The con's. The room was small. Tv smaller and to top it off. The room was really cold. And that's with the thermostat set to 28. The Window/ locked sliding door needs replacing with double glazing.
B.
The location was close by to the London Tobacco Dock where I was attending hyperjapan so a short walk wasn't much out of my way. The room was very clean and quiet with no sound of passing trains noticable despite being right by the overground railway. The reception was very helpful being my first time staying alone in terms of checking in/out and switching my room since I had a twin room booked but I was alone.
B. D.
Very friendly, extremely helpful staff, couldn't have been better as far as my wife & I were concerned. Changed our room at a moments notice because of shower difficulties. Full of praise for the hotel.
M. F.
The location is very close to Tower and excellent for City travellers. Rooms with enough space between bed and wall and Breakfast with all you can eat. We will try to take it again if we visit London next time.
P. F.
great premier inn, newly fitted out last November, so lovely clean rooms. The staff were all very helpful and happy. A great location for visiting The Tate Modern and Globe Theatre with easy access to all the city with the tube only a 5 min walk away. We would definitely take the children again
S. B.
This was an absolutely wonderful experience ! Not for the stay, but for the amazing staff who helped me cancel my booking and obtain a refund.
My birthday was planned around stopping at the Premier Inn with my family and then having the weekend in London for my birthday visiting the Royal albert hall, the shard and so forth.
But on the eve of my trip I had to cancel as my Mum had to go back into hospital as a recent check up at the doctors had revealed her ilness had come back.
I was so distraught, having to ring up every establishment that I had booked (RAH, Oblix restaurant, the Duck N' Waffle, train tickets...a complete nightmare!) I really was at the end of my tether !
I had tried to use the App on my phone which was a bit annoying and having to ring numbers that just sent me round in circles!
But then I got through, and an amazing lady in reception pointed me in the right direction to a phone number (where another amazing lady took my call ! ) where I could explain the sitation and plead my case for a refund!
I would give 10 ten stars if I could !!!! Cannot thank the staff enough for being so great !!
P. G.
As almost all London Premier Inn hotels. Simple room that has all you need. Good value. Food is not bad, typical UK menu. Food quality varies from current employees.
M. Z.
Really nice hotel, the room was pretty clean and well maintained. The Thyme restaurant served great food, I didn't need to eat anywhere else, he food was well priced too. Staff were friendly and helpful too.
d. h.
Great location, comfortable rooms and good service. However if you get a room facing the train station get ready for a bit of noise! I was in 426, luckily I was shattered and fell asleep after a short period
C. B.
Well located for The Tower of London and travel into London via numerous tube connections. The room was simple' comfortable and clean as you would expect. We were on the ground floor without a view. If you can get on one higher floors you may get an excellent view of The Tower.
D. B.
Check in was slow owing to computer problems and the TV in the room was not working, turned it off and on again and fixed it myself! The TV is really old though and not even wide screen, at well over £160 per night for a basic room, they should have decent TVs by now especially how cheap they are in 2019! The Thyme restaurant I have to say is very good for the price! Ordered a steak and it came out within 10 minutes exactly how I wanted it!
J. S.
Another fantastic stay at London City Premier Inn. This is now our favourite London hotel, the staff are great, the room very comfortable, and the breakfast choice the best we have had anywhere.
R.
Generally good, with quiet and respectful clientele. Very close to London Bridge and some nice nearby bars/restaurants. One downside is that some rooms face train tracks and if you're a light sleeper you can expect to be woken quite early!
C. W.
We have just come back from our stay with you at the weekend .what can we say very helpful staff , food was excellent, and most of all our room was spotless , comfy beds after a long day we much appreciated those beds .thank you each and one of you for making our stay very memorable. We loved it so much we booked again for December thank you.
T. H.
Premier Inn. Avoid basement. Room 12 that I was initially allocated has virtually no natural light. Room 501 lovely and airy, nice air-con but wifi not currently working in that room. Asked staff to look at but no response to email.
D. C.
The staff here are very good, warm, welcoming, friendly and efficient. The breakfast is exellent, and the cook really is interested in his job. He gave me a great lesson in cooking croissants because I asked what brand he was serving. Apparently they are the same as in the other branches. It really is something he is doing because they are the best ones I have ever eaten.
a. m.
Clean hotel, but Windows didn't open and room very small however location was close to public transport, a car park close by but can Be expensive weekdays and also a 0ub across the road. Staff were friendly and efficient.
R. K.
Good location. Rooms are reasonable, but the televisions need replacing. Food is adequate but there are lots of places nearby that provide better options. Reasonably quiet. Overall it's exactly what you expect from a premier inn.
D. P.
A good value hotel for those wanting easy access to Central London. Tower of London and Tobacco Dock are both only a short walk away from it, with Aldgate and Tower Hill tube stations only about 10 minutes walk away.
Rooms in hotel are standard Premier Inn - clean and simple. Standard features include a desk, small TV, hairdryer, space to store luggage and clothes and Wi-Fi available in the room. 4 stars due to a mix-up with the rooms (booked two twin rooms and given one twin and one double), though this was sorted out by reception.
A. A.
Nice room, comfy bed, solid breakfast in the morning, what more could you want? I also took a few minutes in the morning and walked across Tower Bridge and along the Thames rather than going straight to the office - the hotel is in a really nice location.
M. F.
Great Location within walking distance of the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and DLR and Underground. Close to pubs. Family room was great and a really good size. Service attentive and happy to help! Lovely stay!
D. M.
Had two nights here and could not fault it. The welcome was friendly and check in super quick. Had a large room with lovely shower and the bed was sooooooo comfortable it was hard to leave it!! Easy walk from Tower Hill Tube and Tower Bridge for easy access to Tower of London, St Katherines Docks (a great find) and even for the South Bank. Will definitely be revisiting.
M. F.
Quiet considering location. I was at the back and could hear trains on the nearby line passing at night but not enough to keep me awake. Everything else is exactly what you would expect from this chain at this price point.
Clean functional room, courteous and helpful staff, restaurant clean with excellent selection of choice for breakfast.
S. B.
A bit dated compared to other PI I've stayed in. No flat screen tv, no multi-port USB etc. However, clean and comfortable. Good location hence 4 star
T. W.
Stayed in a single room in the lower ground floor and the noise was silent, you could hear a feather drop. The room i stayed in was massive in comparison to premier inns in Bristol or Blackpool which I've stayed in before. The TV was of adequate size as well as the shower that came with a seat, no bath but I don't like baths that much anyway. Breakfast was the classic all you can eat rather than the one in Bangor where you have to order your food, thoroughly good service all round especially as I went to Wimbledon the day after to see Dustin Brown vs Nick C. Nice exterior and placed straight near Tower Hill 3 mins if you do your Landan walk to get there 5 mins for the normal person from outta town. 6 stars given (if possible).
D. M.
The staff is super nice, and helpful! Incredibly so. The room is a nice economy. Great price for downtown London. Just a couple blocks from the tube and the Tower of London. Easy access to all of London. Actually not a bad restaurant in the hotel and there is a Nice pub/food place just kitty corner called wetherspoons. The only knock I give the place is the wifi was spotty. For me that was a big deal since my phone didn't work over here, so my only access to the outside world was thru the wifi
G. B.
Mediocre for a Premier Inn. Not sure what it is about this one, but it's not up to the usual standard I get from Premier Inn. First impressions of the room were not the best, there's been an empty drinks bottle under my bed for the past 3 days, from the last occupant I'm assuming. Staff seem very busy, breakfast was dried out first morning but improved over the course of the week. Overal, like I said, mediocre... Thanks.
A. P.
Would defdinately stay again :D lovely and welcoming staff and a beautifly clean room. The hotel was situated right next to London bridge, The Tower of London and a tube station which made getting everywhere else easy. The breakfast was a bit overpriced but because we were in London we wernt too surprised and the room was cheaper than the others in the area so it averaged out nicely.
V. P.
Convenient location, clean and spacious room. We had an undisturbed nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. Great hotel for a great price.
P. B.
Decent hotel, clean and tidy rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast and nice selection of food for the evening meal. Very central to lots of sights in London. My only gripe is the TV's in the bedrooms, really small and dated.
J. W.
Hotel is well situated, clean but looking a little tired now. Free WiFi is useless, didn't attempt their premium WiFi. Friendly staff and a good breakfast! Would recommend if you are o a budget
P. C.
Stayed in a double room, which was spacious and clean, probably overall too essential. Breakfast was rich and of good quality. A bit expensive for the price I paid.
B. R.
Had a great stay with my family, 4 of us in a big room, loads of space, also in a great location just round the corner from tower bridge and pubs and restaurants.
M. P.
Nice spacious rooms and good bathroom, some of the lifts were out of order during our stay but the hotel has a great location near tower bridge and about 7 minutes walk from Tower Hill underground station
B. J.
Great location for holidays in capital with docklands light railway and underground station close by. Also plenty of buses to centre and theatres. Quite considering location. No views could be in basement which is where restaurant is too. Weekend staff are less efficient in restaurant at weekends much better service Mon to Fri when you don't have to hint cutlery. Wetherspoons over road but not full menu and fish and chips speci ran out very early Friday. Tesco express is also round the corner. All staff on reception helpful and polite
C. A.
I have given a 5 star for price, locality and the staff. So easy to get places it's less then 5 min walk to Tower of London. It was clean, tidy and staff were friendly and helpful.
A. D.
Your usual Premier inn can't fault them.
K. S.
Decent place, good breakfast, very professional staff. Room was ok, nothing fancy, but not lacking. Great location. Would stay again.
C. K.
I went during the hot summer of 2018 and when I got in premier inn I was offered an ice cold glass of water and an ice pop I just thought that was lovely
I also got my pyjamma's folded under my pillow in my hotel room.
And one of the nights I ordered a takeaway and this lovely man named David who works there phoned up and ordered for me and david collected the food and brought it up to my room personally
I would of loved to give him a big tip but on our last day in london he had a day of work
M. F.
Premier Inn arent the best hotels I've stayed in but I have stayed in this one twice. Always clean and the staff are always great. Really cant fault it for the prices they charge in the centre of the capital. 5 mins walk from Tower Bridge. Theres a Tesco Metro across the street aswell as a Wetherspoons pub.
S. W.
Ideal location, staff wete friendly and the room and bed very comfortable. A special mention for David the waiter working in the restaurant ... his customer service was excellent.
S. L.
Same premier Inn experience, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, however, the back part of the hotel has busy trainlines running just a roads width away from the windows, I was woken up on a couple of occasions due to train noise
J. S. (.
A good value hotel with clean and well maintained rooms. Thanks very much to Mimi on reception for help to make our stay more special!
m. f.
Friendly staff, clean, comfortable, and a great breakfast.
J. R.
Friendly staff, accommodated me in the resteraunt even though they were about to close. The room was also nice and clean. Could do with updating the anceint TVs though!
T. S.
Decent place to stay with roomy space. Basic bathrooms. 4:3 TV. Lack of privacy as ground floor room window, while milky, was facing an accessible path.
J. M.
Good city centre location and very close to the tower of London. Very quiet when I stayed but the menu in the restaurant is not the best you will be best ti eat out.
J. K.
Great location for London tourism. Short walk to Tower Hill or Aldgate tube stations. Bus stops nearby. Usual good quality Premier Inn. Wetherspoons just across the road!!
C. H.
Great Hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean.
The staff is very polite. The Hotel is located close to some Hot Spots and the local transport.
A. T.
Great value, clean, up to Premier Inn's usual high standards. Multitasking receptionist/bar tender/waitress/bell hop went out of her way to look after us.
j.
A very comfortable large family air conditioned room with a very comfortable bed and a good breakfast. Good prices for London as well and only a 5 min walk from Tower Hill Underground Station.
G. L.
The location of this hotel is perfect, just around the corner from St Katherines Docks, Tower Bridge, The Thames and Spitalfields Market. Clean & tidy rooms with plenty of room for a quick stay over. Would recommend.
D. C.
First time we've stayed in this particular Premier Inn. We usually stay in the Stratford one when down in London visiting my daughter but she has moved to Limehouse so this on seems closer. Although staff were five star, the rooms here aren't as new or same standard as Stratford Premier Inn.
J. S.
Stayed in this hotel a handful of times. Always extremely nice staff! Well looked after by David and Maria! Highly recommended!
G. Z.
Nice basic hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great location for accessibility to the underground and other transport links
P. W.
Great value for a hotel in this situation.
C.
Great friendly staff... a huge room (although tiny bathroom!) and aircon (which isn't always the case with Prem Inn)... and whilst my room overlooked a railway, I didn't hear a thing so they had clearly invested in decent sound proofing!
M. P. (. a.
Its a Premier inn. Clean and tidy, comfortable bed with the basics to hand. Quiet so you can get some rest and reasonably well located to move around London.
L. F.
The room was clean but very dated. Not been upgraded recently like some of the Premier Inns I've stayed in.
The staff were pleasant but the food and room were really expensive for what you got.
D. S.
Rooms were of generous size and noise reduction between rooms was good. Location was walkable from Liverpool Street Station and nearby to lots of sights
S. S.
Great hotel, very comfortable, good breakfast and an exceptionally help full receptionist Mimi, would definitely recommend!
M. R.
Issues with corporate payment sorted quickly along with adjustments to room. Nice big spacious room. Impressed, will visit again.
G. L.
A basic Premier Inn but perfectly situated in London. Close to the Tube and the Tower of London. 1star off for the views from my room (115). See attached photos.
J. A.
Nice hotel, staff are very friendly and professional. Would give 5 stars but some of the amenities in my room had run out
c. s.
5 mins to the city via Tower Bridge. Super room everything you need. Amazing comfy bed. Staff are uber friendly n can't do enough for you. Breakfast buffet ...amazing
B. L.
Lovely big room, friendly staff and a great breakfast. Normal Premier Inn great service.
s.
Myself and three friends stayed ere for two nights can't falt the hotel
Nice and room with brilliant kingsize bed
Air con brilliant shower
And a fantastic as much as you can eat breakfast what more do you want
R. N.
Great sized room with everything you need inclusive of a very comfortable bed. Room was on the tube tracks so it was loud at times.
L. M.
Room smelled a little stuffy and windows don't open so we were unable to air it. Otherwise a nice hotel and pleasant, clean rooms.
J. S.
Great rooms and service. The buffet breakfast was great, the options were vast and really well cooked.
T. F.
Great comfortable hotel in a really central location. Be careful though as if you use Google maps to get there it will take you to another premier inn 20 mins in the wrong direction as they are tagged incorrectly. And no I'm not an idiot apparently it happens all the timem
P. C.
Room was good. Resteraunt provided good food during the day with great service. The staff were friendly and really helpful.
R. S.
Basic Amenities like Bed,Rooms, Cleanliness, Breakfast- 5 Stars
Location - 5 Stars Tower Bridge and Aldgate at Walking 5 minutes distance, Tesco 2 minutes
Cost - A little expensive for what it is providing
I. R.
Good location, clean tidy room. Breakfast had great food but spoilt by not enough experienced staff to replenish and clear tables
K. B.
Comfy, well priced hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant is reasonably priced and good value.
T.
Good breakfast and rooms aren't too bad. Been here 4 times. 5min walk to nearest tube at Tower Hill.
G. T.
Not pleased with food. Somehow, run out of rice within half hour of restaurant opening. Also, Crispy Asian Beef Sald not crispy and had to be sent back.
N. P.
Great hotel, clean and friendly
J. V.
Nice spacious rooms, clean and tidy. People are friendly. Wifi access is not good however.
G.
Nice place , other hotels in london I have used but their prices have doubled so quite happy to use this place I will be back
M. D.
Great location.... fantastic beds...all very clean hotel..
D. P.
Good location, rooms ok if a little dated. Very average restaurant and bar area.
G. W.
Great location! Hotel seemed understaffed but they were very nice.
N. O.
For a Premier Inn it is super basic. It's clean and in a great spot though. Don't need much else
B. B.
Great location to see all the sites that are just a tube ride away. Breakfast is great. evening meal not so.
B. R.
Good rooms, good breakfast
T. F.
The room that we were in could do with an upgrade ie paint and bathroom.
J. H.
The rooms are always nice at a premier Inn however there was no heating in the room and I wasn't the only one with this problem most of the rooms on the 4th floor had no heating and only had a little heater to plug in. Other than that the staff are friendly and they do lovely breakfasts, clean rooms good for one or two night stay :)
K. F.
Great location with friendly staff and good sized, clean, well laid-out rooms. Good food with no fuss.
G. R.
Basic but clean and comfortable room. Staff were really friendly and the breakfast was great.
A. B.
Good location near to Tower of London and tube. Great value car parking nearby (Minories). Everything else what you would expect from a premier inn.
A. M.
Very good room stay close to tower bridge and complimentary breakfast was very nice.
J. E.
Nice and helpful service, great rooms for the price. Very close to restaurants, shops and the underground. Would recommend for a couple of days.
m.
Really nice room. A good nights sleep ina comfy bed. Nice breakfast
D. H.
Excellent service and comfortable accommodation, tube is about ten minutes walk away. Would recommend this hotel.
M. M.
As always Premier Inn never let me down. Wonderful experience, good sleep and excellent and helpful staff
H. M.
Very friendly staff,and clean 👍
N. L.
Hotel is run down in places, rooms tired and noise from the railway can be annoying as it comes through everywhere, even in a seeminly quiet room it comes through the bathroom vent.
A. C.
Clean and affordable. The rooms were also larger than I thought they would be. Definitely would visit again.
T. S.
The standard of Premier Inn but the room is quite small compares to other Pemier Inn Ive starlyed in London
J. R.
Excellent location, close to tower hill 5 mins walk. Clean and tidy place good room plus restaurant was really good.
D. D.

Hotel and staff great. Unfortunately Google maps directs you to back entrance not the best experience!
M. H.
Hotel was very basic. Room was small with nothing special about it. Fine for a quick stay but nothing memorable.
C. A.
Excited with English Martyr Church..😃, not bad hotel..but dont expect for free water bottle and toiletries
A. L.
Mix up with the bill, was way over what we booked it at but room, people and location very good.
