C. T.Stayed just the one night in this family run hotel. So handy for the Excel (we went for the motorbike show).
Everyone was so friendly and couldn’t help us enough. The front of house who greeted us at 5pm locked our pushbikes away inside the hotel storeroom.
Breakfast was freshly cooked to order. Lovely fluffy scrambled egg and beans. Other half had sausage, eggs and beans. Mounds of toast and coffee /tea.
Excellent value for money and booking directly with the hotel is highly recommended. Found the hotel on booking.com but was same price direct with more flexibility.

This place is one of those rare hidden gems. Free parking, friendly and helpful staff and good location. The hotel is very good value.

R. D.Hidden little gem! Welcoming staff, comfortable, and a short stroll from the excel. Lots of lovely, well thought out touches - such as the complimentary fruit in reception, use of kitchen facilities and an ironing board available. I had a much better stay than my boss, who spent over £250 a night at the Hilton in Canary Wharf (lol). This hotel isn’t trying to be the Four Seasons, and nor should it. It’s good old fashioned, honest value for money… oh and spotless! It’s my new go-to for my frequent trips to the excel - thank you for looking after me!

The price was very fair considering other local hotels and apartments given the time of year.
A lovely run hotel that looks very stylish in the main lobby, topped of with very presentable staff.
One in which came out to greet us at the car and help take all of our luggage in for us without us even asking (which was a huge help)
There was fresh fruit daily that we could help ourselves too, along with a constant supply of bottled water in a fridge, and access to the kitchen (with microwave). Which tops any amenities I have ever had in a hotel, especially ones located around the Excel.
The room was a very decent size, I'm not quite sure why some reviews state the rooms being small? Its a hotel room, you just sleep there? Haha. Even then, the double bedroom I stayed in was more than adequate (once again compared to other rival hotels around the excel) A large double wardrobe, with a safe inside for security and peace of mind over valuables.
The TV has a HDMI port, so even if regular TV isn't your thing, you can always bring a device to use during your stay (however my Chromecast did not work with the wifi there)
The hairdryer in our room wasn't working, but upon telling the front desk, one of the staff fetched a spare hairdryer up to us almost immediately (Which was wonderful)
We had an ironing board & iron, as well as a dressing table (with drawers) which was super helpful for our short stay with the amount of cosplay we had brought.
Overall I don't think I can fault a single thing with the hotel or the staff themselves. They went above and beyond for us, and its genuinely the best experience I have had in over 8 years of staying around the Excel for comicon. :)
P. H.Was very skeptical about the hotel as saw it being built just before 2012 Olympics and thought it was a strange position. Room was very small but very clean and comfortable. Reception staff were very helpful. This was just what we wanted and was very cheap. Certainly will stay again when we visit our daughter.
One word of warning though - the lady in the room next door was clearly having a good time and we could hear everything. So beware - not much privacy if that is what you want!

Friendly helpful staff, clean & tidy room with a fan, coffee making facilities, a reasonable shower that was hot & an elevator to each floor. Having the added bonus of secure off road parking in London is a big plus,along with 24hr reception. For the price if you want a decent place to sleep & shower you can't go wrong. Reasonably close to travel by Uber into the city for less than 20 quid, or next to the bus route if you want to save some ££. Would definitely use again!

R. G.If you are going to ExCel the location is just perfect, you can get there in less than 10 minutes by walking. The staff is really nice and very helpful. Our room was ok, but nothing special. The bed was comfortable, but the shower could be better (it’s fixed), but overall it was good.
There is free fruit at the reception (orange, banana, apple) which is very nice. There is a very well equipped kitchen you can use (microwave, fridge, stove). You can take free water and juice from the fridge.
The breakfast was good. You can have a toast, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, a small sausage. And tee or coffee for drink.

R. N.Had a weekend stay here and the staff were amazing. They have a secure car park and helped bring in our luggage. We had a nice private balcony. Staff are very attentive. Cant say enough good things about them. They also give you a free hot breakfast! I was quite sceptical when we was coming in as the surrounding area doesnt seem pleasant but the hotel is definitely a diamond in the rough.
T. O.Very friendly on arrival, carried bags to our room which was nice but clearly expected a tip and lingered at the door, I only ever tip on exit as good service should be part of the experience. Breakfast was included but if you like your bacon this is not the hotel for you as it's not on the menu. Rooms well decorated and very clean.
J. J.Small independent hotel. Great shower, comfortable room, complimentary water, fruit juice and fruit as well as the usual tea and coffee facilities. There are microwaves you can use to heat your own food too! Free parking for 4 cars. The only reason I have given 4 stars not 5 is that the annexe I stayed in was a short walk up the street - okay as the weather was good but could have made going to breakfast a trial if the weather wasn't good. Overall very good
F. S.I don't like the moquette so much but for the rest the hotel is not bad. I enjoyed a trip in London and that hotel was cheap. Fruits and water free everyday and friendly staff.
Breakfast from 7 to 9:30 but with the same menu all the days.
The rooms were not to much large but you can adapt yourself.
You can't change the temperature with a thermostat.
4 stars because for the price we spent it was ok to encounter that kind of problem.
But if they want to improve their service, in my opinion, they have to change something

A. s.Room clean, comfy and had everything we needed including hairdryer, iron and ironing board. perfectly placed for our visit to the x factor live at the Excel...ten minutes walk. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful in advising use regarding local transport links and amenities. Use of the hotel kitchen, crockery and cutlery made it really easy for us to bring food back and prepare it. Would definitely come back and would recommend to anyone.

T. G.Ideal location for the Excel. Don’t be put off from outside it’s a lovely little hotel inside. Free fruit and bottled water and use of the kitchen. We stayed in a balcony room and it had everything you need hairdryer, tv, safe, iron and ironing board, fridge, tea and coffee and most importantly a fan!!!
Staff and owner very helpful he let us leave the car in there car park whilst at the Excel even offered me some plasters.
Overall we couldn’t fault it.

c. f.Clean room, nice bed and a hot shower. Staff couldn’t have been anymore helpful. My tyre was slashed by a hidden bottle in the road on the way there. The guy behind the desk even went to he own car to get me a jack and came out to hold a light while I changed the tyre to my spare.
K. G.For what we needed it was perfect, a bed and a jumping of point. It was, to use an English expression, cheap and cheerful. Just remember ‘cheap’ is relative to what you want! Two doors from a kebab place, on the other side of the road three places down a decent fish and chip shop. Also a small corner grocery store 100yds away. Bus stop 25 feet and the returning bus was 20yds away. The hotel has an elevator, 24hr reception. The room was adequate with all we needed and a comfortable bed. Everything was clean and modern but by US standards a bit small shower stall no tub (water was boiling hot which to me was a bonus, I live a hot shower to ease the aches and pains after a long day walking in the city and the markets (Borough Market is a must, all fruit and veg etc, but the food!! Many countries represented, too much by far to try, but worth a try..)
Breakfast is included in the price, a fair selection.
Clean, comfortable beds, hot water and breakfast. Need a bus to get to the tube (subway) and back busses run pretty late but check so you know your limits!!

The free breakfast was very good and made to order, here is fresh fruit and chilled water available 24/7 again in with the price. WiFi is also free and works as well as it needs too. Room was clean and well presented if a tad small, but you can't have everything. For a short stay this is a great hotel and would definitely use again.
F. M.A small hotel in a reasonably quiet position about 10 minutes walk from the Excel centre and a DLR stop. Noticeably courteous and helpful staff on the desk. The room was a little on the small side but in good condition. Very clean. Comfortable bed, slept very well. Bathroom a bit cramped but OK.
Breakfast was included but I didn't have time on this occasion. Quiet residential area with a few shops nearby.

A. G.Stayed in room G04 although a very small room it was Abdul the owner who was the reason I gave 4 stars. He was excellent and gave exceptional service. Parking in rear private car park is limited, room very small and ensuite even smaller. I asked to be on ground floor and this was granted so thank you for that Abdul. There are amenities nearby ie. Convenience store and fast food outlets if required.

G. V.I only stayed for one night, but for the given price I could not imagine better. Clean rooms and more spaceous then some other ones, a kind service and good breakfast. What was great that you get free fruits and drinks from the kitchen any time and you can use the kitchen amenities for your own food too.
i. j.Room is really small. So compact as it is on budget ferries. But receptionist is kind and friendly. You have breakfest included. And there is a kitchen on ground floor . Fruits and drinks are free.

P. S.The room was tiny, but perfectly functional. There are a few shops and takeaways located nearby. Fruit, bottled water and juice is provided for free. You can use the kitchen to cook your own food. It's probably best to call them about parking as spaces are limited.

PERFECT 3 nights here. From day one We felt relaxed, like home away from home.
The Staff was excellent from day one. Complementary bottle water in the fridge, fresh fruits for You to help yourself.
The Room was already to check in by 12 instead of 2pm.
The use of Microwave in the kitchen for guests to heat their own food!

A. R.Such a lovely and clean atmosphere to be in whilst at Comic Con... it's great cause there was also other people going to Comic Con staying at the hotel too! There is a communal kitchen on the ground floor that you can actually use to cook any food that you might buy... rather than having to order takeaways every night.
Ensuite bathroom with a lighted mirror. The bedroom is so lovely and cozy, and comes with a TV and free WiFi. Breakfast is free and is made for you 7am - 9am.
It was such a great stay and I will be coming back another time.
S. H.Run by a bunch of good people, it's an affordable place to stay for a couple of days. The men in the reception are very helpful and always on hand to help out the newbies. Located in the heart of London Excel, it's only a few minutes away from the London City airport. The room service and the cleanliness could still be a lot better though.

The receptionist had an English adapter for me to borrow, you cannot go here with your European charger or plug.
Anyway, the staff is very nice and helpful, and fast.
The hotel is slightly outside the center, but you can get there in no time with the DLR.
It is walkable within 10 minutes from Prince Regent station.
Also few stops from London City Airport.

In de week voor kerst had ik een eenpersoonskamer in dit hotel.
Hij was niet duur, maar piepklein. Twee kleding hangers op een rail als kast.
Meer paste niet in de kamer.
Compacte wc, wastafel en douche.
En 2 balkons, waar je op mocht roken, mocht je dat willen.
Matras voelde alsof de springveren erdoorheen zouden komen,dus ik vreesde het ergste, maar heb heerlijk geslapen.
Was aan de straatzijde, maar geen last van lawaai gehad.
Burootje met koffiezetapparaat aanwezig en kleine tv aan de muur.
Ontbijt in de kleine lobby tussen 7.00 en 9.30 uur.
Soms moet je even wachten,ze hebben maar 9 tweepersoons tafeltjes.
Ze komen met een klein menukaartje waarvan je de items kan kiezen die je wilt eten.
Het is een Engels ontbijt, niet internationaal, dus je croissants kan je vergeten 😉
Gratis fruit en flesjes water mag je pakken
De receptionist had een Engelse adapter voor mij te leen, met je Europese oplader of stekker kan je hier niet terecht.
Sowieso is het personeel erg aardig en behulpzaam,en snel ook .
Het hotel ligt iets buiten het centrum, maar met de DLR ben je er zo.
Vanaf station Prince Regent is het binnen 10 minuten beloopbaar.
Ook paar haltes van Londen City Airport.
Voor dit geld kom ik nog wel eens terug!
