My husband surprised me with an overnight stay here for my birthday.
When we arrived the reception was a bit busy, although there was 3 receptionist they went as quick as they could (arrived round 2.30pm checked in by 3).
Our room was lovely, we have a river room, decoration on the bed as well as chocolate on arrival. Unfortunately we missed afternoon tea which we had to pre-book. Room was very spacious and clean, no complaints at all. Good selection of tea and coffee but no water in the coffee machine or fridge.
Dinner was lovely, although more selections would have been nice. We ordered 2 nibbles (didn't like any of the starter choices, mains and dessert.) Our water Gabriel was amazing throughout, bonus kept us entertained too! Drinks are over priced.
Breakfast was decent enough nothing special, again decent selections of teas, pastries etc.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay, lovely birthday treat!

Great overnight stay on this luxury yacht. Rooms were spacious and very well equipped. Good service. Excellent restaurant but a bit on the pricey side. Drinks also a tad expensive too.

Great service checkin from Sarah. Room very spacious (missing few simple things), like water and decent coffee machine. Room service, nobody answered phone and no menu in room. Private Event was very good. Breakfast looked good but uncooked veggie sausages and other aspects which was disappointing which is where you lost a star. Would come again though. Good novelty.

Arrived at hotel told room would be ready @ 4pm which is late. No coffee or water in the room. No line to phone reception. There was no booklet which shows hotel details and menu. Quite basic.
2 adults staying but only 1 hand and 1 bath towel.
Dinner was nice but not much of it. Very expensive with 12.5% surcharge. Bar almost empty and astronomical priced. 2 gins £40! I noticed they didn't hand out the Drinks list they came and asked what you wanted. The cooked Breakfast included was nice but not much choice of cereal or breads. After a wait for breakfast our check out was 11.00 and the card would not allow us to use the lift or enter hotel room so had to walk down to reception where they extended an hour. No apology just saying the system cuts off on time. Another person on our floor had the same experience. None of the staff had a smile or made you feel welcome. Not a great experience very overhyped.

Beautifully appointed rooms and fantastic staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. A special mention for Dietrich and the lady from Cap Verde on night duty, both of whom provided exceptional customer service Unfortunately though the hotel has significant minor issues such as: no mini bar in room (but in check out was told this could have been arranged had I asked); no information brochure in room regarding services or opening times of restaurant, bar etc; extremely limited and poorly thought out bar menu; £4.50 ( + 12.5% service charge) for a small (not even standard 330ml bottle of Coke and lifts that kept malfunctioning. In a high class restaurant, I don't mind paying a high mark up on fine wines but not on a few sips of Coke. Having travelled the World, attention to these details compares unfavourably to hotels of similar quality and I cannot understand why the management has declined to address these.

This hotel was amazing! The room was outstanding and the staff exceptionally. I recommend this hotel for couples, families and functions. We had my husband’s 40th birthday on the Yacht... it was LIVE!
I would definitely book again and again.

The novelty of being on the boat was great and the bed was really comfy. The room was large and had a nice river view out of the port window. Breakfast was average and priced about the same as most hotels but had quite limited options. Not sure honey on the avo toast is to everyone's taste (perhaps put it on the side). The drinks were also rather pricey (£20 for a pint and a glass of wine with service charge) but sitting on the bar deck with views of London helped compensate the expense.
We had a classic river view room and there was a coffee machine and bar but no water or tea/coffee supplies at all in the room. The weather outside was warm and unfortunately in the below deck rooms you have no opening windows and the aircon was more like a fan is it did not generate any cool air. Over night the room was up to 26C which was pretty unbearable and no real support from reception because the hotel was packed due to the event we were attending at the O2 Arena.
Hint: If you are attending an event at the O2 Arena make sure you leave plenty of time to use the Emirates cable cars over the river and avoid the queues. Uber and taxis are not a viable/quicker option as you get stuck in traffic that ultimately takes longer than waiting for the cable car. You can tap your contactless card on entry for £4 one way.
Its sounds pretty negative but in reality I would love to go back and just do things slightly differently knowing the layout and how things work at the hotel. I would recommend and other than the heat of the room, the service was pretty flawless and its worth a visit.

Check in was quick and seamless.
The room was spacious and the whole yacht was spotless, we felt very comfortable and well looked after.
Breakfast was delicious with good options.

A fantastic birthday surprise for my other half. Service, accommodation and food excellent. Disappointed that they still charge 12.5 %service charge.. I thought that that was up to the customer? So 4 pints of Perroni came to £38.25....🙄

Amazing hotel, not too expensive for what it is. Relaly friendly and lovely staff, so helpful, especially Sarah was amazing. Let us check out late. Breakfast was superb and filled us up all the way to dinner. Room sizes are very generous and comfortable bed. Room has a fridge and TV too. Ship is a bit old now and due for replacement, it's a bit kitsch, but that's half the fun. Big chandeliers and lots of brass/gold everywhere. Love it. Surprisingly a very quiet and peaceful nights sleep.

The executive room with river view was lovely. Nice, clean room with amenities and a large bathroom space. The staff were all great and the food was good. The only downside was the extortionate bar. Really empty and devoid of any atmosphere and yet still charging £18 for a cocktail and £8.50 for a pint of peroni. It was empty in there and I can see why. Otherwise, lovely hotel and will definitely try to come back.

Yacht hotel experience to be truly romantic Getaway in the heart of London, onboard the UK's only Super Yacht Luxury Hotel with city views and exquisite cuisine.
Breakfast was good and staff was very friendly too.
Only I would say to be prepared for parking hassles as there is no valet parking and also what nearest parking available is not accessible to yacht. There is a long walk.

We went for afternoon noon tea to celebrate our anniversary. Receptionist was very welcoming, she gave us a table with good view of river , we ordered Risotto which chef made as per our child's requirements. Afternoon noon tea was delicious, all baking was done fresh in house, scones and pie were warm( straight out from oven). In end restaurant gave us discount on Risotto as it was made for a child they charged child plate price. All staff were very courteous , they frequently asked for refills of drinks which not many restaurants do.

Had the most amazing time her for my partners bday. Great food and the service was excellent. GABRIEL looked after us so well and made the evening really special. Thank you
A. P.
Stunning hotel and definitely a special treat as food and drinks are expensive. Rooms are big and spacious and the bed is comfy. There was an annoying humming noise all night which I assume was the water pump. I’m a light sleeper and was glad i brought my ear plugs!! Staff were attentive and friendly and we even got a free drink because our room wasn’t ready
P. S.
Fantastic hotel. Booked an exec double room with balcony. Bearing in mind it's a yacht the balcony was pretty redundant. The room was clean and the bathroom very nice indeed. Watch the step up into the bathroom...no warnings. Breakfast was included but I'd hate to have to pay £16.50 for a very average offering. The staff were great, even with the more troublesome guests. On the whole the look of the hotel is superb but not sure it quite justifies the price. I'll be returning, but won't be upgrading my room next time as there appears to be very little difference for a much bigger price tag.

Whilst searching hotel sites for an overnight stay in a London I came across Sunborn. The novelty of staying on a yacht for a night was the overriding factor in why I chose this hotel. We used public transport to get to the hotel and it was extremely easy (Jubilee line to Canning Town then two stops on the DLR to Custom House). The yacht is located no more than five minutes walk from Custom House DLR and the area was very quiet. Check in was from 3pm and we arrived about 430pm, there was no queue and the staff member at the desk was friendly, polite and informative. We were given two room keys and as we were staying on a bed & breakfast basis we were told the breakfast area was in the restaurant directly above the reception and was served between 7am-10am. As I had booked a room with a dockside view we were offered an upgrade with a water view for £40 but I declined this offer. We took the lift down to our room and was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. It looked more like a suite as it had enough room for a king-size bed and a two seater sofa. There was also a flatscreen TV which you could swivel round to watch from the bed, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, plenty of storage space for clothes, hairdryer (the same ones you get abroad), two sets of fluffy white towels and toiletries. I liked the lighting in the room and also the large mirrors which made the room look even more spacious. The shower had good water pressure and the bed was comfortable. We went down for breakfast just before 9am and the restaurant was filling up already. The staff were very efficient and polite and we were seated quickly. There was a choice of cereal or you could order a cooked breakfast which was included in the B&B price, we both opted for the cooked breakfast. I had the vegetarian breakfast and my boyfriend had the smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast. There was also tea and coffee on offer as well as fresh fruit juice. Check out was at 11am but we headed out about 10am and again the staff member was polite and friendly. I would recommend staying at Sunborn as the rooms were a nice size, very clean and well equipped. The staff were very polite and helpful and although we didn't go out to eat there were a few restaurants nearby. It was also easily accessible on public transport.

Beautiful hotel and lovely breakfast in the morning. But bottled water for £7! At least give a choice between tap water or the bottled water. Overall, lovely experience.

This was a surprise from my lovely wife whom I truly love ❤ 😍 💖 and I will always love her, having not ever been here before it was a big surprise for me and I am so thankful for the opportunity to visit and how wonderful it was too. My wife and my daughter and our two best friends had a great here and we were very impressed with the way we were all welcome by the staff and the friendliness politeness and how helpful everyone was, the food selection was excellent and the food itself was very good 👍🏿.
A.
The staff were very clueless. We had booked & upgraded, we got there and they put us in the wrong room after we explained the upgrade. They accused us of lying about upgrading. They gave us the wrong keys 3 times. We spoke to the manager was who was very Self entitled ignorant man the service was appalling.
S. K.
The staff made our stay very pleasurable, they were so friendly upon arrival, especially Sarah and a lady whose name began with G, Giselle or something like that (I'm so sorry if I've got ur name wrong).
The decor and room view was amazing, very comfortable bed and heated flooring in the bathroom! Only thing I would say is I'd only go in the summer, it was toooo cold to be out on the deck in this freezing weather.
There was a bar staff member; Nate who provided excellent customer service. He is an asset to the sunborn hotel and I will definitely be coming back based on his customer service and friendly nature.
The reception staff especially Sarah and the G lady were also reasons I will be returning and booking this stay for my friends birthdays!
Customer service is key to bringing customers back and the people mentioned are an absolute asset to the sunborn. They should be given a payrise!
The breakfast service was impeccable too. Defo returning in the summer 😌

No decaf coffee anywhere! Not in the room or for breakfast. Dinner was trying to be high end, but missing the quality, e.g. £36 steak came with a steak sauce that was semi frozen. Hair dryer required a red button pressing, but there was no red button! Otherwise, it's nice to stay somewhere different and the vibe was nice.

Although there were no issues as such, there were lots of small 'niggles' which when added together make the experience fall short of expectation for a 4* hotel and therefore would lead to me not recommending the hotel.
Despite being advertised as included with the room, there were no slippers (I only had high heels which meant I couldn't wear them round the room and instead had go barefoot on wooden flooring which is unpleasant) and no in-room tablet, there was also no information booklet or room service menu in the room which meant we were not able to look at the facilities on offer or order food to our room, there was also no toilet brush and the robes provided were very small, my husband is a size M and I am a size 12, which are not large sizes, yet the robes were to small to use (despite the tags saying medium), so assume their laundry service has shrunk these? The robes were also incredibly scratchy and the belts were mis-matched - the robes were towelling, however, the belts appeared to be from a waffle style robe, this gives quite an unprofessional image. The service in the restaurant for dinner was slow and inattentive, we had 2 courses and only had 1 drink each in this time, nobody checked if we would like to order another and when I finally managed attract the waiter's attention, it took so long to arrive that I had actually finished my dinner and was waiting for the bill . . . meaning I was thirsty during dinner and didn't get a chance to drink the second drink I had paid for and ordered, despite this poor service, a service charge was added to our bill. Breakfast was also disappointing, I had smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast, my toast was burnt and soggy where over buttered, my husband had a cooked breakfast and husband's fried egg was not runny where overcooked. Overall, I feel that the above items meant that the luxurious experience promised on your website was not delivered and it did not feel like a 4* experience - if it wasn't for the location, I do not feel the experience offered matches expectation for the prices charged.

We visited here for an afternoon tea for a family treat whilst we were staying in London for a mini break. The yacht looked absolutely incredible. The foyer area was breathtaking, a large chandelier surrounded by two spiraling staircases either side. We were ably assisted from the start of our experience and taken to our table overlooking the dock area of the Thames. We didn't have too long to wait for our afternoon tea. The food itself was more than ample, four finger sandwiches and a mini-brioche roll. Two fruit scones and four other cakes complete on a three tiered china tray. We opted for a champagne cocktail option, which was a great accompaniment to the food that was served. We were also given a variety of options for tea, ranging from the usual English breakfast, darjeeling, Earl Grey etc. Our waiter was always on hand to answer our questions and was very passionate about their job. We left there feeling full and satisfied and knowing that when we return to the capital for a break that we will definitely consider staying at the Sunborn Yacht Hotel

Overall lovely room, helpful reception, great views. Restaurant was really nice, only downside was very limited menu selection.
J. W.
Simply put I think it’s the best hotel in London. Open and airy with very large rooms. To sit on the stern deck and enjoy an afternoon tea by the water is divine. The staff are so nice and can’t recommend here place enough if you want to be away from the bustle but stay in a cool place.
C. S.
Nice experience to sleep on a yacht, not much more to do or see unfortunately, one floor has a bar and small balcony, another floor has a restaurant and small balcony. No welcome folder with information on the yacht or things to do locally etc.
s. a.
The best team and manager was a great with customer service , they changed our room with no extra money and the best view ever of river side , We just love it and thanks them and will definitely will come back again .

Not as good as I'd hoped, but not as bad as I'd feared from some of the recent reviews.
The room was fine and clean but just like any hotel room pretty much anywhere.
The bar closed at 11pm, which seemed unusually early.
Breakfast was good, though we were forgotten for nearly 30 minutes after we sat down. When it arrived, quality and quantity were very good.
However, the self-service items weren't well maintained. Coffee and juice was empty and refilled too slowly. Croissants were promised in "2 minutes" but actually took close to an hour to appear.
It's different, a bit (not enough to give the wow factor), but you're probably better off spending a little less and choosing a different hotel.

Really nice setting. We visited for afternoon tea which was a gift from friends. It was excellent as we're all the staff who were friendly and attentive.

Fabulous place to stay Food was good rooms were beautiful
Although we had a bedside light that didn't work and a lot of European plug sockets so take adapters with you. Also it's a bit of a walk with heavy bags but that's the price you pay for where you stay. The only real downside is they charge A 12.5% gratuity on everything and for the love of God if you try to ring them you can't get through. Having said that I will go again

Excellent. Absolutely relaxing bedrooms. Great breakfast, lovely friendly staff. I had such a lovely time there. There's a restaurant with tasty food and the bar is cool too.Great Great place for surprising your loved ones. 😍

Customer Service fantastic.
Room was beautiful, big and everything we needed,we asked that the beds be split into 2 singles and that was done for us
Beds so comfortable and beautiful crisp bed linen
The yacht was stunning and breakfast was fabulous
The only criticism we had was at 10.30 last orders were called up on the bar terrace and there is no other entertainment on the yacht.
Very few restaurants and no bars to frequent after this time.
All in all a mum and daughter fun,and chilled overnight stay.
A. V.
Overall a nice hotel but quite underwhelming. Definitely not good value for money and overpriced. The most ridiculous thing was that I paid £25 for a birthday package decoration and got 3 basic balloons worth 5 quid all-together.
S. H. M.
Lovely large room, fabulous staff, very clean , super breakfast , just perfect, we had the best time!
Highly recommend the cable car that’s close by .
R. N.
The hotel and rooms in itself are lovely, spacious and overlooking some amazing scenery. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The only downside was the food. Breakfast is not cooked fresh and seemed like it had sat on a hot tray for hours aswell as the scrambled egg being soggy both mornings we ate there. More like buffet food. Went for dinner expecting a 5 star meal (due to the prices) but was let down by the steak being overcooked, portobello mushroom looked more like a tiny flat mushroom that was shoved under the steak. Everything else spot on.
S. P.
Short stay after are wedding. Love the atmosphere. Are room was huge we had a perfect sea view. The restaurant was also nice, a small selection but great options.
F. H.
I stayed there for a night in a junior suite. The location, service and river view side were fabulous.
However, the 1st impression was bad as the first receptionist had a bad attitude and not welcoming at all and I request to get another room or to upgrade he confirmed that they are fully booked. As soon as I got my room i call the reception and another member staff answered and I asked the same thing from him, he was so helpful and really really did a nice job to make my stay amazing.
The bad thing was the room was so so cold.

We was looking for somewhere to take two little boys that was a little different. My son had two trips to Disney cancelled due to Covid, so I let him pick where we go. He absolutely loved the idea of staying on a boat so we opted for the Sunborn. I’m so so glad we did. Everything about this stay was perfect. The hotel is immaculate. The breakfast and evening meal were superb. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The bed, honestly the most comfy bed I have ever slept on. The best thing though was the service from a gentleman named Micheal. He went above and beyond to make this a special stay for both the adults and the children. I’ve never experienced such amazing service and thoughtfulness and I’ve stayed in many hotels. In my opinion this is a five star hotel and the service (thanks to Micheal) is the best in the world. When someone ensures the children have an amazing stay, as a parent you could wish for nothing more. Thank you for having us. We will be back.
There are also treatment rooms, we didn’t get to experience them but we are planning to the next time we stay. If you are considering staying at this hotel then go for it, you will not be disappointed.
K. B.
If you do go, parking is a goood 5-7 min walk, and once you park it's a 24hour parking for £20, so make sure you get everything with you before you call it a night, as if you park for 1 hour or 24hour it's still £20.
I came here for my wife's birthday, thinking a yacht hotel, that's different so let's give it a try. We booked a standard room but upon viewing room ( the window were really tiny & felt dark) we upgraded to a room with a balcony with the ocean view.
The room was good and the balcony view was nice for with it is. (Not the best balcony, a bit tight.)
The decor inside was great. As far as the restaurants all were closed each time I tried. All have weird hours,
For the price I'd say can get something better however for 1 night it was great.
J. T.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable and big but the service at the reception very poor, they don't answer the phone calling outside of the hotel and into the hotel as well. No customer service, they give a room but not any service. The breakfast very expensive for a very poor food. The views of my room was miserable, 2nd floor and on front of a parking area, not dock, river etc. I asked for upgrade bc I was celebrating my bf birthday but they said I wasn't a customer because I didn't book directly with the hotel. I booked with booking.com and also, I did the request in previous days. Also, some minutes before to do the check in I saw that some websites was offering the same price I paid for a better room with a views to the river, it means they had room availables but they didn't want to be nice to my request. If you book there be careful if you book with dock views, it is very miserable and sad views. Also, not windows, not fresh air in the room. Anyway, I don't recommend this place.

Who loves boats? Who loves hotels? Who loves London? Well, if it's all three (or one of them or a combination of them) , you will love it!
Clean etc. Friendly staff, calm well designed large rooms , speedy WiFi and a great cooked breakfast.
It's literally a 2 min prance over to the Excel centre !
Thank you sunborn hotel people!
J. S.
We had a lovely time, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The only issues I would raise is the lift is very difficult to use. We also feel that adding some bottled water in the fridge is the basic standard in any hotel. It's a real shame that this was missing. But in saying all that, we would return again.
M. B.
The Sunborn is a great alternative hotel, ideal for an overnight stay if attending the O2 but also for something a little different for London visits. The afternoon tea is amazing with the scones cooked fresh for each customer. Breakfast was plentiful and very nice.
J. H.
Brilliant stay rooms nice and comfortable.
Staff were all polite. The only thing I would complain about which isn't really a complaint is the chef doesn't know how to cook eggs. I has scrambled egg it was runny and tasted disgusting, next day I fried egg asked for Sunny Side up when it it came it it was snotty. Not sunny side up
C. H.
Good stay, lovely room, very clean. Lunch was great, cocktail bar very enjoyable. Breakfast a bun fight! Check-in and assistance by Salmi who was exceptional, and Bonnie in the restaurant was delightful and very helpful. Particular thanks to you both.

Great place to stay, however wasnt offer8to upgrade so didn't have a good view from my room

Stayed on this beautiful yacht Saturday night with friends for my birthday treat and we were not disappointed, just loved the whole ambience of the experience - the rooms were super comfortable and very spacious, staff lovely - I cannot wait to go again and enjoy the restaurant for a tasty dinner and superb breakfast 5*

O seara perfecta pt aniversare sotului ,staff ul foarte prietenos , curat ,mancarea foarte buna (compliments for chefs 👨🍳 and Alex) Singura nemultumire a fost ca nu am gasit apa in frigider si papuci de unica folosinta in camera🤔( am inteles ca trebuia sa cerem la receptie!)👍There are no slippers and it is not pleasant to walk around the room barefoot and you do not have drinking water to make tea or coffee, it is not very pleasant! We're talking about a 4-star hotel ... 😞! Congratulations to Alex from the restaurant and to the chef! Very friendly staff, clean room nice atmosphere, I definitely recommend for these things! ...for me 5 🌟

Beautiful hotel..lovely outlook.stunning views.staff were very friendly.lovely and peaceful area..lots of choice around you to eat drink and just chill out watching wakeboarding swimmers joggers ..got the virgin skyline cable experience near by.which takes you right to the O2 arena..just a fabulous 👌 👏 stay.
Fully recommend this to anyone wanting a different weekend experience..They had a few functions going in but this did not affect our experience at all.Loved it 100%.

Room was great and staff were so friendly and helpful. Sadly, the cream tea was not the best. Very disappointed with tasteless sandwiches, but the deserts were delightful.

Great food , very nice room . Best bed I've slept in for a long time . Staff very helpful. Will be back

I had an absolute blast on this yacht. I went with my gf for her birthday and i couldn't of ask for a more special place to stay (and she loves any type of boat) and it had one of the best bar staff (josh) i have come across in a long time .
K. M.
Such a beautiful hotel with the most incredible views. We spent 1 night here. Checking in was quick and easy. We booked the afternoon tea with champagne and it was outstanding. Staff were really lovely. We visited to celebrate our anniversary and they wished us a happy anniversary on arrival and again with a chocolate message on one of the cakes. So thoughtful and we really appreciate it.
We visited the Sundown Bar in the evening and had breakfast in morning. We will be returning again and next time we will be booking the spa.
D. H.
Novelty factor great. Practicality of where located poor. Long walk to boat and nothing to do OK it but eat in their expensive restaurant. Car park was twenty pounds to keep car there over night
M. D.
Feels very executive and “treat” like. Welcome staff were fab and managed to con/convince us to upgrade to a balcony room. Kind of felt that, as you can’t see anything through the balcony wall and it’s high, that this was a bit of a rip off for the extra £40, and it faced into the excel centre rather than our to the water. Don’t be fooled to say yes!
Food is delicious. The doors at the front of the ship in the dining area need their glass relaxing as the seals have gone and they mist up, spoiling the gorgeous view that you’re paying for. Overall still very nice.
S. R.
Whot an amazing experience ...lovely staff and beautiful bedrooms and to finish off with English breakfast to die for 10/10 well done ✔️
B. V.
I went for drinks just to kill time. There were two things I may have tried on the menu but everything seemed overpriced for what they were. I imagine it would look lovely at dusk or even dawn being on the water but It was raining while I was there. The ambiance/décor is of dated cruise ship luxury. The boat has no engine so Chances are it will be there for a while. The Emirates cable cars are only meters away and only £8 round trip per adult if you intend on disembarking at Greenwich peninsula. O2 building is right across the river. There is also some form of cable kite surfing on the water that I only discovered looking down from the cable cars. That may not be the correct name for it but anyone who loves watersports might want to try it whilst staying at the sunborn or nearby.
P. P.
We had the afternoon tea for two! Staff were amazing and couldn't do enough, food was really nice warm scones were soooo good. Certainly looking forward to revisiting again

It was my birthday, so arranged for friends to go for afternoon tea. Staff was great, really good service. Food was excellent.

A very nice hotel, but let down by the lack of attention to detail. Some of the seals in double glazing in the main bar / restaurant have blown, causing condensation inside the units, in our corridor, a glass plate has remained on the floor uncollected for the entirety of our stay and the shower area in our room is very tired and needs regrouting. The evening meal was good, however, it lacked finesse and the starters were lacking and poor value for money! Breakfast was very good, however, be warned you may be queuing to get your table if you arrive at a busy time. Overall we liked it but don't feel the need to return.

A unique experience to stay on a luxury yacht in London's Docklands.
A superb location and plenty to do and see in the local area, along with alternative eating places if you don't dine on board.
Just 10 minutes walk the DLR train station.
The yacht itself is beautiful and the rooms are spacious, clean and have everything you need. The huge beds are very comfortable too.
The drinks and food are somewhat pricey, but that's only to be expected considering the luxurious experience.
Overall, 5 star rating from us and highly recommend a stay.
R. L.
Outstanding hotel, staff were really friendly and fun, lovely setting, everything was great, nice food, very cosy and comfortable, would definitely recommend
B. K.
Great location, don't book if they have a conference on they think more of corperate sorts than guests on the boat. Good breakfast.
P. N.
Oh, man... this was a great experience. I had the seafood platter and white wine. Great outside deck to enjoy your experience. The waiter/waitress crew was great. By far the best experience I have had in the area. Nothing to complain about. I will for sure come back and enjoy the service and the great views. Top nodge 👍🏻

Excellent service and friendly staff. Great food and atmosphere. Definitely worth another visit.

We were missing being on a ship and stumbled across this little gem.
I have now been here a couple of times for Afternoon tea and simply love it, the decor is lovely and the restaurant staff are great and very accommodating.
The Afternoon tea itself is wonderful, the scones are always fresh and hot, the sandwiches tasty and the cakes simply yummy.
The Sunborn Yacht is a must in my opinion!
D. R.
Really impressed by room size, decor, and bedding! Ignore bad reviews. Bring your own waterb bottle lol

Absolutely love this hotel, this is the 4th time myself and my husband have been, the staff are always so friendly and welcoming, the lovely man who checked us in was so friendly and polite and see that we have been more then once, and gave us a great complimentary upgrade! (Sorry I didn't get his name) the rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfy and the breakfast is on point! (Although had to queue for a table)but the delicious breakfast made up for the wait, would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely be going back there .
A. D.
Put it this way, you won't believe your actually on a Yacht! Lovely Decor with helpful Smart Looking Staff. Great for Afternoon Tea with warm scones, clotted cream and jam, cute little sandwiches (assorted) and a couple glasses of Champagne to finish off a Lovely Sunday Afternoon treat!

Took the wife for a late birthday present. Lovely place, great room, great people. Go as soon as you can

Just had the most fabulous meal at the Sunborn London Yacht Hotel, the food was fantastic and the staff were brilliant
G. M.
A unique hotel, providing large rooms, great food and a well-crafted drinks menu. I'd recommend the Sunborn Group makes more use of the 5th floor to differentiate the guest experience. The hotel doesn't offer much for solo travellers, adding a casino on 5 akin to Sunborn Gibraltar may help.
A. N.
We had a blast as always. Came in just in time fpr a beautiful sunny spell. Josh, bar tender was fab and great host..
S.
My 5 stars are for the hotel stay only as me and my husband didn’t eat on board or drink but we have stayed here twice now in the executive room balcony with river view lovely and staff were very accommodating and polite no complaints at all!!
A. H. T.
We came for afternoon tea with my fiancé's family as a treat after our engagement. I'm lactose Intolerant and I really, really appreciated that they catered an entire platter to my dietary restrictions. It all tasted blissfully lovely (so good that my non-lactose-intolerant 2 yr old niece-to-be only wanted the treats from my platter!😅) and the service was wonderful!
J. T.
Beautiful vessel turned hotel, clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Very enjoyable breakfast overlooking the dock, o2 and London skyline. Would highly recommend.
F. K.
Highly recommended for a weekend away. I booked with booking.com and also they are on Groupon. The rooms are very clean and exactly as pictured . We enjoyed the view of the Thames River and went on the cable cars and also visited the Emirates Areoplane exhibition with simulators and informative displays .
There are many places to eat around the area and close to the 02.

Luxury yes, spoilt yes.
Staff all friendly and helpful . Cabins were massive with all that you needed. Breakfast I choose full english and found it Well worth it.
The experience was amazing.
Lot of money but all worth it.

We came on the 20th July to celebrate our 25th (Silver) wedding anniversary. Wow. What a beautiful boat/Yatch. Our room was lovely. Only thing is our air conditioning didn’t work. But it didn’t spoil our experience. Food was delicious. We had a lovely time. Would definitely recommend.
M. L.
Loved it..the room was spotless had the best night sleep ever!! Drinks are a bit pricey..but that comes with a bit of luxury...staff were very helpful, breakfast was amazing..definitely going back !!
J. W.
Fantastic hotel, staff go out of their way to welcome you. Didn't try the food so I can't comment, but the room was fantastic, everything you need and more
I. T.
Oh what an amazing place!! Staff all very friendly. Special thanks to Gintare! You made our stay! Felt very welcomed.
Had a lovely light supper on the deck, food very delicious.
And rooms are just out of this world! Highly recommend this place!
We are certainly coming back for more!

Lovely different experience. Beautiful interiors and friendly staff.

OK so would be 5 star but first impressions count, sign on grubby wall clearly said "Please press button for reception to let you in"
this was an intercom and camera, a gentleman answered quite abruptly and rather snappy "Press the lift button" and cut off!!! Umm 4 star service???
Sadly where you first enter aka 2 lifts, one out of order, the other was up and down, then stopped but 5-6 people already in it, no thanks, so had to press again, so over 10 minutes just to get in and not the nicest area to wait when tired and mobility issues causing pain, maybe a carpet, get the old sticky mess cleaned off the wall, remove stuck up hand written notes, and sort the sign or whomever answers the intercom, etc, for this alone I will NOT book again as felt unwelcome and an inconvenience.
However inside the yacht is well received a nice Atrium staircase and chandelier, etc very clean, a feeling of being on a cruise ship, even the smell.
Reception lady was nice, in conversation I mentioned we was there for daughters birthday as we love cruises and super yachts, she said Oh Well we better give you a nice balcony suite then...
Now, I did not expect any special treatment but daughter smiling from ear to ear.
We get to our suite, which was nice, but......
it was EXACTLY what we had paid for, a Balcony with Dock view, I had misunderstood that phrase and clearly should have booked "River view" or upgraded.
Point is daughter had got extra exited but actually got nothing different to what we had paid £200 a night for? So a bit disappointed there.
Canary Wharf is alot better looking than my car (Disabled parking only) and the giant Excel hall, so be advised dock view is NOT looking over the docklands and water, this is the opposite side.
Anyway suite was nice and clean except for a few dead flies on the window doors to balcony.
Again very much the same as a cruise ship, layout was the exact same as MSC Seaview suites.
Towels, robes, TV, cooler, coffee pod machine, comfortable bed, clean WC and shower room, soaps and gels, all good.
Breakfast which was included in our price, this was fine, excellent happy staff, maybe put one of them on the intercom for arrivals?
Breakfast is limited but fine for most, we opted for x2 full English and x1 Pancakes, this is ordered via a tick box leaflet which waiters take, no mention of an issue.
Food was well presented and quick.
But only got ONE and a vegetarian full english, WE ARE NOT VEGETARIANS? I gave this to my 12yr old daughter as it was 2 small pancakes and strawberry preserve being the other choice, to be fair pancakes were nice although NOT what ordered and a full English with real meat was missed.
Sadly should have been a father and daughter memory, Yacht stay and London Shopping, but I remember a not very nice man on the intercom, getting fed up waiting to get inside and the breakfast saga.. Waiter did notice but I strictly DON'T return food, so said just leave it.
So we will look for another attempt at a London overnighter as also struggled for parking as very few disabled bays so she did not get to spend her birthday money.
l.
Very disappointed. Looks wow on media, all a front! .
We stayed in room 2008 executive room with River view/balcony, stayed for my birthday july 25th.
Hubby ordered & paid for a birthday package ( petals on the bed with towel display, chocolates (3 off ) apart from that no happy birthday or hotel attempt make a birthday special!
Staff nice, efficient.
Even meal was gorgeous, Martin our waiter was really attentive, knowledgeable about the dishes, wines.
Breakfast is bland at best, didn't bother in the 2nd day! Not worth the hour wait. No fresh milk for tea/coffee.
The rooms are dated, broken plug in the sink, cracked skirting. Aircon useless. No extractor in the hot bathroom!, small hairdryer in there!, Floor in tte bathroom heated yet heatwave outside! No bathroom flannels, no compermentary bottled water. Beds not very comfortable. Desperately needs updating, making more personal and customer/guest focused!
.
J. B.
Love super yachts, and this was delightful. However limited evening menu for vegetarian, website was out of date. My birthday celebration with my mother but no effort to make it special . Staff were superb and will return even though some issues which were resolved. I am like many so happy to be free again after a long lock down in uk 🇬🇧
M. B.
This hotel was amazing from start to finish , good ,service , good staff ,great food, excellent accommodation, beautiful views from our balcony , would most definitely go back again
J. A.
Nice for a romantic dinner and weekend.
Good views around the Excel and Dock.
M. J.
A fabulous one night stay, rooms are big and stunning
A. S.
Very very nice,we had the sharing meals in the bar, tasted beautiful both of them,Nathan was first class with his service, not over attentive, just right and knowledgeable about what they serve.going back soon
s. r.
Would give 5 stars as perfect ship and service but 1 star deducted as communication by phone was impossible trying to arrange one of our guests gluten free for afternoon tea 😏
G. B.
We had afternoon tea, it was lovely, All the food was good 👍on a loverly large yacht on the river, and close to the Docklands light railway, a great way to spend the afternoon, I would recommend it
J. R.
Was worried about the abundance of bad reviews as this was for a surprise, but my stay was amazing! (I think if you avoid boat dinners and bars you'll save yourself hassle, especially in this time) Lovely spacious room, great facilities and perfect shower room! Breakfast was perfect, we went at 9AM and was served immediately with a gorgeous view. There were a few negatives, the bed wasn't actually a king it was a twin just pushed together, which felt weird. And the lift was incredibly slow.
S. W.
Enjoyable but not worth the money. Lovely but dated accommodation. Minimal complimentary beverages supplied in rooms. Very slow service in the bar.
L. Q.
Amazing place could not fault it. Comfortable beds.
Staff could not do enough for us x
D. W.
The decor on the Sunborn is exquisite. The rooms are uniquely designed, and comfortable.
The staff (several of them) were unhelpful. The coffee pods for the machine seemed to be rationed. Each time I called reception (from my moble) they sent someone up with either two or three pods for two people. That's one - one and a half cups of coffee each...until we rang again for more.
The breakfast on both mornings was served in a lovely black, wooden box which could also be used as a tray. Unfortunately, breakfast was cold both mornings, they forgot our juice on the first morning and our toast on the second.
It is situated in a very good location, brilliant transport, restaurants and bars links.
Definitely not value for money.
S. S.
Rooms are fantastic
Dinner was fantastic
Staff are fantastic
However.
Breakfast was a massive let Down. It was under cooked, waited over an hour to be served. I would go somewhere else for breakfast. We left without eating and hungry. Such a shame.
S. P.
What an amazing place for a stay, everything from rooms to staff to restaurant we really couldnt fault it
M. O.
Was nice, only problem was waiting 45mins for breakfast, sat at the table. Checkout is a bit early too - 11am.
N. G.
Stayed over last night. Staff where all warm and welcoming meal in the restaurant was spot on and prices are nothing out of the norm for that type of area. The executive suite we had was spotless and lovley. Fridge was fully stocked as was the coffee facility in our room. We was advised of the rush in the morning for breakfast we was seated straight away after a short wait breakfast arrived will be staying again.
One thing to note take advantage of the parking app there is a ibis parking space 7mins walk from the hotel £20 for 24hrs
I. B.
Was lucky enough to get a groupon voucher to stay on this lovely boat. Was made to feel like lower class as staff looked down their nose and said "Groupon" on arrival. Given a lower rate room at the bottom. Staff fail to answer phones at reception restaurant or bar. Lots of surcharges at Rolls Royce prices for Ford products. 12% service surcharge on a normal coke thats quadrupled on it's normal retail value.Food prices crazy for medium portions. Found better restaurant with friendly staff along the waterfront. Even Lavazza cups and coffee machine had non Lavazza pods. 1 tiny bar of soap between two....Premiere Inn beat that.
Allergic to eggs and breakfast is eggs eggs and more styles of eggs. Or a bacon roll served in egg coated brioche roll. Did have nice full English option and coffee juices and sundries. Staff were better here must say. Stayed in propper 5 star hotels that are the REAL deal and worth the money. Unfortunately felt this wasn't.
T. G.
Great room, fab breakfast
m. w.
Lovely looking hotel, excellent views, very clean hotel, helpful and polite staff.
T. C.
Loved staying on the yacht hotel. It was certainly something different from our usual London stays. The whole social distancing thing was done very well and at no point was it even a concern. Staff were polite and helpful and the room was immaculate. Would go back there again without hesitation!
E. O.
Lovely hotel with great views. I would have given 5 stars had the breakfast not taken over an hour to come which meant we had to check out later. Staff are friendly and definitely worth experiencing.
L. W.
Beautiful, great rooms, lovely bars and restaurant.
D. C.
Excellent food very polite staff can't fault it at all will definitely be going back again and would highly recommend people to go there
A. E.
The reception staff were very nice, but housekeeping staff not so helpful when asked for help to get into our room and said no we can't do that. The room was really nice and breakfast very good.
A. W.
Was very comfortable had the best nights sleep in a long time but restaurant was far to expensive as we're a lot of restaurants £9 for a bottle of beer ridiculous
F. 9.
Poor service skills in bar . Long wait for drinks.
Some staff could not understand English or food allergy requirements. Very expensive drinks . Breakfast cold. Only positive was very comfortable bed. Would not return
D. W.
I booked this for my partner's birthday, we had a great time. Had drinks in the bar looking at the views, dinner and a fab brekkie. Our cabin was very spacious.
Staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay.
T. U.
Nice experience. Rooms were clean, staff were very nice and food was great. Would be going back soon.
M. K.
great experience, friendly staffs, enjoyed the stay for my husbands birthday.
R. B.
Had a free upgrade to the top deck. So the room was nice and quiet with a great view on the docks but somehow small for the price (I mean as this boat has no engine I was expecting more than on an ordinary cruise ship).
However the breakfast was terrible (nothing really healthy or tasty) with a lot of incredible fat and loud English guests going after bacon and sausages.
To get on and off board you have to take elevators that are incredible slow (I missed a speech at the Excel because I had to wait 15 minutes!
Drinks at the bar are overpriced and the bar often closed for private and noisy parties.
Staff is NOT friendly and extending checkout time not negotiable or not free.
All in all for me this ship made sense because it is special. On the other hand, I recommend firing the manager and the cook! There could be much better service and kitchen!
M. F.
Excellent hotel, fantastic staff and service. We stayed in a junior suite with river views. Everything in the room has been finished to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. Excellent views from the the balcony both in the evening and the next morning. Comfortable king size bed and plenty of space to move around the room. Loads of wardrobe space, decent size TV and plenty of lighting options.
In the restaurant for an evening meal the food was excellent and staff were very attentive. I had forgotten candles for birthday cake I had dropped off the day before but they were able to provide some free of charge. Overall an excellent night out on an luxury yacht and well worth a try. We will definitely be returning.
M. G.
The hotel was okay, I wouldn't say amazing. I found the decor of the cabins underwhelming but pleasant. Due to these times I was intrigued to see how breakfast would pan out. I was disappointed!! I know we can do the buffet style anymore but there should have at least been an option to be abke to order more if you wanted. It was a Bento box style breakfast, you had a choice of continental and a full English and then if you wanted extra bits like pancakes etc it was a separate charge for additional items. I think if buffet breakfast will be no longer, it should be that if you want more they should give that option for free like before, I know life is now about adapting but it's not about taking away completely!
Majority of staff were very friendly, helpful and nice and overall a pleasant experience. But please sort out breakfast.
p. t.
Lovely yacht, spacious bedroom with its own fridge, perfect to keep your drinks cold, only issue was the price of the drinks, starting with a cuppa tea £4:50!.
S. D.
We had a lovely stay at Sunborn London - a different experience to your usual hotel! We had (and would recommend) a room with a river view and balcony, which had a lovely view including being able to see the Emirates Skyline and o2 arena. The staff were also very polite and friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay Sunborn!
g. f.
The boat is stunning, we were checked in by a trainee whom was warm, friendly and efficient. Courtesy of a friend we got a free upgrade to the junior suite, which was a wonderful surprise!
I've given 3 stars as once checked in and in the room which was spacious and clean, it was freezing and the heating wasn't working. We called reception twice to be told give it an hour and it should work, but it only got colder. Calling a third time the man who answered sent a heater up straight away.
The in room tablet didn't work for room service when i called to ask how i could order i was transferred to a voicemail machine, i called back and was told to be patient, and transferred back to the voicemail machine. When I managed to speak to someone i was informed that what i wanted to order they no longer serve and the menu on the tablet was old.
The next day our room was made up but the bathroom was not cleaned and the mini-bar was not re-stocked with water.
The lands end restaurant was really nice, the staff there were really helpful and attentive.
Overall a nice experience but I wouldn't class it as a 4 star.
C. B.
The hotel is very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and finished to a high standard. Breakfast was most ample and offered a both continental and full English options.
Unfortunately the restaurant, whilst the food was well presented and sufficient, we felt that the price was way over the top.
Having said that, we would stay again but would opt to make use of the vast choice of other restaurants in the local area instead when it came to evening meals.
N. K.
Lovely but why are the rooms so hot when trying to sleep???????
A. P.
Not bad but for a 4 star hotel it should be better. Breakfast is not that good
G. M.
Staff were very friendly on checkin and explained the layout and services onboard really well.
Room was spacious and clean, lovely heated flooring in the bathroom! Digital tablet in the room allows simple control of the TV, getting information about the Spa and restaurants onboard, as well as being able to order room service from.
Breakfast was pretty good, nothing special but certainly well above average. Small selection of pastries, with standard cereals and bacon/eggs/sausage etc. No veggie option sausages or similar so you may be left disappointed if you’re a veggie here.
Overall would recommend this place and would go back!
R. B. (. b.
What an amazing time we had! We booked an afternoon tea which didn't have halal options available the waiter (Hassan?) Was extremely considerate and went out of his way to ensure we had suitable vegetarian options as well as alcohol free products! We had a very challenging 10 month old too and he kept him entertained while attending to other guests. On top of that when I needed hot water for my baby's milk, a lovely lady at the reception kindly went and filled our flask up with fresh, hot water without any fuss. All staff were lovely, the hotel itself is just beautiful and so many great spots to take pictures in. My only regret is I wish i stayed longer!
A. C.
We had such a lovely time at The Sunborn Yacht Hotel last night! Our room was absolutely immaculate and clean, the staff were very friendly, the food in the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced, and came out to us in good time, good covid practice in place, room service was wonderful, room was full of all the necessary amenities to make our stay enjoyable, we are looking forward to returning . Wanted to write a nice review as they deserve it! Credit where credit is due ! Thanks Sunborn see you again!
D. S.
Looks beautiful for the outside, and communal areas are gorgeous, room is very old fashioned and so is bathroom. Drinks are very expensive £19 for a beer and a Tia Maria. Service charges are a bit much. View from the sundeck was beautiful as we had lovely weather. Staff were the best thing about this place ,
R. M.
Cannot fault them, our stay was excellent! Booked through their own website, about two weeks ahead the price was very good, and the service was great. The room was very nice and clean, we had waterfront view with a balcony, which was a plus. Their cocktails are beautiful and delicious, the breakfast was also good quality and choice. Would definitely go back again.
S. W.
Was wonderfull.. even tho its massive it still feels like yr on a yacht not just a hotel.. spotless and fantastic staff throughout.. reception, bar, breakfast and housekeeping..
R. H.
Lovely afternoon , beautiful Hotel, nice selection of food and fab cocktail. Staff extremely attentive and friendly , would really recommend it.
C. M.
It was a pleasant stay but I must add that we had to keep resetting our key cards and the air con wasn't really blowing hard so it was extremely hot, the restaurant turned us away despite having numerous empty tables and directed us to the bar, as being guests of the hotel I was offended. But overall it was beautiful and I had an amazing birthday and view from my balcony and a good night's sleep, the beds were so comfy.
L.
Staff was nice
My view of the 02 not very as I look down over my balcony into the river . Just rubbish everywhere . Could of been removed not a nice site . Was so cold in room …
I. A.
Excellent service! Reception staff were great, beauty therapists were amazing, the room was cleaned really well and the breakfast was good. The only fault I would say is that the breakfast and bar team had no personality, they walked around like robots and didn't engage with customers or bring drinks out to customers sitting on the front of the yacht. Other than that the trip was awesome.
M. M.
Wonderful experience! Excellent service - we were treated like VIP's. Food was outstanding and the room and bed sublime. One of my favourite hotel stays ever. Highly recommend.
M. a. y. s.
Amazing stay. Staff great. Room was beautiful. Great nighttime views
G. S.
Stunning to look at but a number of flaws, waited a good 5 minutes at reception to book in as no one at the desk, had to get the room key reprogrammed 3 times I think they set it up for 1 night and we were staying 2.
We went to the bar to be told it was table service after half an hour I went back to the bar and the then someone was sent over.
Breakfast was pretty poor, buffet which I prefer but scrambled eggs awful, fried eggs overdone. the fact breakfast was in our room deal on the second morning we ate elsewhere.
Coffee in room was a bit minimalistic but the room was clean and quite impressive.
K. P.
We got an amazing deal staying here so try and book ahead of time. The hotel is a converted barge I believe that has travelled over from Amsterdam. The rooms are small but as you're only sleeping in them that's great. Tea and coffee were in the room too. Staff were friendly and attentive although we only had to deal with them at check-in/out. Really fun stay, thank you.
R. C.
The hotel is lovely. Rooms are a good size and the bed is very comfortable. We had a dock side room and the only negative we found was rubbish collecting in the water between the dockside and the boat. They really should clean this up as it ruins the feel of the view. The restaurant food was amazing too and breakfast was a great buffet.
R.
The rooms a a very good size. And at the budget price I paid good value.
No facilities to park and unload luggage.
The breakfast service was very basic. At £20 one would expect to be served a pot …
G. M.
Lovely stay. Lovely rooms, staff were great.
J. L.
Wow what a beautiful place very clean the room was stunning the staff so helpful it is a little on the pricey side when it comes to the menu but there is a bar downstairs with a slightly cheaper menu with sandwiches and burgers. We had the burger with chips and salad and it was one of the nicest burgers ever. The bed was comfy bathroom lovely can’t complain about anything. Breakfast was one of the best too I would 109percent recommend staying here. Just make sure you got plenty of money 😂
K. R.
Beautiful Yacht, good service with a 1920/30s decor grand feel to the interior.
Ever so slightly worn in places. Eg two of our sockets in our room were loose.
Under floor heating in the bathroom is a nice touch.
Food- one main vegi option as of September 2020
No vegan option.
It's a tad pricey for what you get but then I think because of all the measures put in place for COVID you are not used to paying £23 for a main and having cutlery wrapped in plastic, salt and pepper sachets that you find in a fast food place.
Not the Sunborn fault at all but it's a factor to consider.
We chose an optional extra of a birthday cake and balloons in the room for £45.
Take your own as it's not worth it. It's an £6 cake from the shop with £1 banners from a pound place.
Didn't have the option to state which cake. Birthday boy didn't eat it as he doesn't like chocolate. 😆
Overall the stay was great.
Worth it if you want to stay on a super yacht.
Staff very friendly.
M.
Victoria and Ilona were extremely helpful at checking-in and provided outstanding customer service throughout our stay, the yacht was presented immaculately and we were treated impeccably. Thankyou for a great stay
S. M.
We stayed at the Sunborn hotel a couple of years ago whilst attending an event at the ExCeL centre and we had a lovely experience. We had a room with a river view and a small balcony. It was very clean and tidy and we had no issues at all.
On our second day, we decided to have their breakfast menu for around £20pp. Although it's a little more expensive than what we wanted, we couldn't fault it at all.
We would love to stay here again but as we usually nee a hotel for 3-4 nights, it's a little too expensive for us.
E. D.
Amazing stay.Beautiful room and a.azing staff
T. S.
Fabulous stay, lovely rooms, very clean, very attentive staff. Would definitely recommend
D. S.
Definitely something different but I'd personally prefer if it were not fixed to the mooring. Once inside you literally could be in any normal hotel. Service was good at reception and in the restaurant. Food was good, prices were a little high (as you'd expect).
The only negative really was a some of the other guests. Lots of tracksuits and noisy kids.
M. K. Z.
Hotel was good! Room has nice view. Nice Lavazza coffee machine as a perk. Bed was big as promised. Checkout time is a bit irrationally early. 11:00 seems non-standard and the help desk extends it for 30 minutes if you requests for
one.
A. D.
Went there for afternoon tea. The view is glamorous, the staff are fantastic and friendly. Also the selection and plating is amazing. Would definitely come again and highly recommend.
T. A.
I had a fantastic time! It was a nice atmosphere with wonderful scenery. Staff were really friendly & helpful. Bar and breakfast was great. My bedroom was nice provided with a fleece blanket. I have stayed in many hotels but by far the best cosy sleep.
I will most certainly book again and recommend this hotel.
S. H.
Nice place surrounded by water and spacious and tidy room With good and delicious food and excellent customers , I really recommend Sunborn Yacht Hotel
E. B.
Very good service and good facilities for networking event.
D. i. L.
Fabulous food in restaurant on first visit, my waitress was great and so was the second waiter who helped with my gluten and dairy dietary needs. I wanted to ensure the ingredients were safe and he he went back to the kitchen to ask for me very graciously. Relaxed environment, aesthetic setting and feeling... very tranquil.
Therapy rooms, had a facial and back rub. Best treatment and service I've had all year. Just finished and I feel so chilled, I am speechless for once. My therapist had a wonderful touch, so relaxing, therapeutic and healing..wonderful. Receptionist was also sooooo helpful and caring. Great great great service on my first visit.
h. w.
We have just stayed here as a birthday present booked for my husband. I love the concept of this hotel and from the outside it definitely has the wow factor.
Positives:
The communal areas and dining areas are in keeping with what you would expect from this hotel. The rooms are spacious. The staff were very friendly on check in which was quick and easy.
Negatives:
Although spacious the rooms are out dated and the river view room could do with a window clean.
I ordered room service for lunch which came very quickly but it was tasteless and was also Luke warm I had the pasta from the very short menu available for in room dining menu.
Overall a good hotel for a novelty one night stay.
IF MY REVIEW HAS HELPED PLEASE GIVE IT A LIKE ...
C. H.
Can't wait to get which has been booked,!
N. M.
Great hotel. Stunning inside and out and one of the most convenient options if attending an event in or around the Excel. I would also recommend a stay here as a leisurely break as well.
Staff were friendly and efficient at check in and check out. Bar staff were also good and service with a smile.
My room was below deck meaning views from the window weren't great but meant I couldn't hear any planes taking off from London City. These are very loud from outside the boat. My room was huge with a great double bed, sofa, wardrobes, fridge, TV, desk etc. There were plenty of power points, both UK and EU points which is thoughtful. Complimentary bottles of still and sparkling water in the fridge and a good range of teas and coffees (2 packs of biscuits). In addition to a kettle there is also a posher coffee pod machine.
The bathroom was nice although not amazing. The door was on an auto close mechanism and the extractor fan either didn't work or was highly ineffective so I had to prop the door with a bin. The shower was really nice with great amount of power and hot water.
All very clean everywhere.
I didn't eat dinner here but did have breakfast which was very nice with a great selection of cooked English buffet, fruit, continental and pastries etc.
I enjoyed my stay and would recommend and return.
N. O.
Spacious rooms, very clean, very comfortable bed ..however the sofa bed wasn't great..foot end looked as if it wasn't straight and the head end kept falling through.so 13yr old had to keep moving around on it...also curtains didn't close completely so if you like a black bedroom it's a little aggravating
M.
Boat style atmosphere.
It was my friends birthday and I have requested hotel to support me to congratulate my friend. I had no response and nothing was ready upon arrival! …
D.
Rooms are spacious and decor of a very good stranded, the food in the restaurant was very good, as my wife said 'the best pork she has ever tasted' the let down is the speed of service. Starters and mains came out quickly and well spaced but taking are order of dessert was not forthcoming and was not offered coffee, got fend up with waiting, got up and went to room. The service in the restaurant in the morning was just as bad, they need to employ more staff to be able to deal the number of covers in the restaurant, poor show for an expensive/up market hotel.
L. B.
Great stay in Victoria Dock was pleasantly surprised with experience as we had read mixed reviews before.. Food was great and staff friendly, Nice spacious room and powerful shower.
K.
A unique place to stay on the Thames - lovely views on the river side of the yacht!
M. C.
Overall: An above average experience. What stop this being a great experience was little things. Calling reception, allergy information and other lines with no response. A digital menu for room service with zero allergy options. Not enough details on the tablet that has all the menus and information for the hotel. That being said the food was great. Room was expected size for a yaght hotel (smaller that normal hotels). Very comfortable bed. No noise from other rooms. Good view of the Thames and on the door step of the expo center.
L. S.
Beautiful yatch inside and out. Staff really friendly and polite. The food in the restaurant amazing. Comfy rooms had an executive river side view lots of space very impressive 👌
も.
I'm sure that this hotel was the best among the hotels during my two-week stay in London.
Friendly staff, nice view, comfortable room.
If I have an opportunity to stay in London, I will surely choose this!
J. M.
Just returned from a fabulous stay at this unique hotel. We booked a river side view and were delighted with our room and the size of the balcony, everything was perfect and very relaxing... until we realised a hen party had arrived in the next couple of rooms to us. I asked at reception if there were any rooms available to swap to and they were very accommodating and understanding and we were promptly moved to a equally lovely room but with a smaller balcony but we were just grateful to have some peace.
D. W.
Lovely mini cruise, but only one port of call! Room very luxurious, far larger than you would ever expect on a real boat. Big very comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom. Lagoon view from the porthole. Also enjoyed the Lands End restaurant, great food and service, and lovely views.
G. B.
brillant lovely place for a special celebration and over night stayxx
s. s.
Awesome 👍
Staff are very professional and go the extra mile for your stay to be enjoyable.
Breakfast is great. Serve yourself of which we liked.
Evening meal can be pricey but is not a complaint as presented to a very high standard. 10/10 for food.
Will be coming to stay again 👍

Lovely room, immaculate with dressing gowns and slippers, toiletries included except shower gel also could have done with a bath tow each. Fantastic balcony room with great views across the Thames. Stunning interior, bar area very nice however very expensive. Good buffet breakfast, full English, danish pastries, cereal, fruits, etc. Did not eat in restaurant but had nibbles in the bar which were freshly cooked fish gougons and chips £4 each very good value till they stuck a needless service charge on top.

The Sunborn London has always been a location l've fallen inlove with but l had only ever come onboard to eat and always dreamt of staying. Staying there even though for one night courtesy of Groupon which included breakfast has been a mindblowing experience! I love a water view as it is so you can imagine the serenity that comes with being onboard although the ship is docked. However with not much parking available l'd either suggest to use public transport or cab services but you do have parking at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and around the area but at an incredibly high amount of between £20-24.
The interior is superb,a classic yacht finish of embossed shiny wood like details. The chandeliers just make you feel like you're in a palace on water, creating that royal feel. The room had a seaview so was lovely creating that cruiseship feel, and what can l say about the bed, true King size style and just absolutely perfect. Our room came with lounge area with sofa and table it literally created an apartment away from home feel. Only thing ld say is staying on the bottom deck network was an issue but luckily thank to 4/5g my phone had reception. The inroom tablet system wasnt really functioning properly could do with a little update and aircon when we tried to switch it on made bit of a funny noise. However the room stayed cool and the experience was detrimented by any of this although l feel the positive feedback could really help them make the experience 5 star plus.Breakfast was splendid with a choice of English Breakfast and classic dishes like Eggs Benedict and more. Staff where really helpful, pleasant and informative. A top location to definitely add on your places to go bucket list in London.

Treated my mum to an afternoon tea for her birthday and it was a really nice experience from start to finish. Staff was lovely and friendly especially Salomey who was a great host to us. Freshly made sandwiches, cakes and scones and was pleasantly surprised to a complimentary birthday cake which was absolutely delicious. We were also offered free refills of sandwiches and drinks which was an added bonus so overall we had a great day and would definitely recommend.

The hotel is very elegant and up market a perfect stay for an anniversary celebration for the night. The room was clean with plenty of storage. You'll end up with a window staring a concrete wall. Special thanks for the staff who made it happen. We had the best buffet breakfast we've ever had.

For the price, location and wow factor this had it all. Great stay, very comfortable and extremely convenient if visiting O2 arena. The wife was very impressed which is always a win. I would recommend taking the trip over via cable car, which added to an amazing experience. Would have been 5 stars had the bar on board been opened longer with a little enterrainment/music.

I booked a room on the Sunborn for my wife's birthday, I was planning on staying elsewhere in London but then came across the Sunborn and the unique factor got me and after looking at the reviews and facilities I went ahead and booked it.
Upon arriving we made our way to reception and were greeted by a friendly and efficient member of staff who checked us in and directed us to our room and thankfully made no mention of the romantic package I had added to our room as a surprise (a lovely arrangement of towel sculptures and fresh rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bed and a tray of chocolates)
We made our way to the room, on the fourth floor which was very nice. We had a great view over the water and the room was clean well maintained and well equipped. There was a fridge with 2 bottles of complimentary water. A good coffee machine and tea making facilities as well as a king sized bed, sofa and table, large shower ironing facilities and bathrobes. All in all very nice and comfortable.

Beautiful decor, quite blingy. Rooms are great, very quiet, lovely private balcony. Specious, clean and very nice. Didn't eat here in 3 days as there was so much local choice and it seemed a little expensive. Such a lovely and quiet area of London.

Fell in love last year when i walked past. Did not disappoint. Beautiful lobby. Lovely staff. Our room was super king. Balcony perfect. Late night drinks yummy. Buffet breakfast tasty- only note: table placings too close to food counter area. Late check out worth it. Definately coming back.

What a fantastic night out and accomodation. The views were brilliant and the food and service were excellent. I'd rate the whole experience 5 star plus. Everything exceeded all of my expectation and I have to say I had set the bar high. The staff were exceptional in every department. No complaints what so ever. Thank you all and I look forward to my next visit. Perfect perfect perfect!!!

Well I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights to relax and do something different.
The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms are clean and decent and the general appearance of everything looks spot on. Food is also great, very nicely presented and tastes lovely.
There were a few things that hurt the experience. We asked to sit by the window when we reserved the restaurant for the evening an were told its first come first serve, surely enough we arrived on time and the seats were empty but we were told they were 'reserved' funny enough. This happened on both dinner occasions. After the first dinner we relaxed in the bar area and I noticed a sticky toffee pudding in the menu which looked good so I ordered it only to be told they didn't have any which was fair enough so we asked if it was possible to reserve one for the following dinner an was told the would contact us in our room. They didn't contact us. When we turned up for dinner we were told they didn't do it anymore and they tried to contact us. Lastly when noticed a 'Sunday brunch menu' on the list of food the was offered on Sunday's, this looked quite good so we booked it, when we turned up we was given the normal evening menu and was told the brunch menu didn't exist anymore even though it's clearly advertised in our room.
Overall the experience was not good enough in my opinion due to those small things that all seemed to add up. However those aside, the location atmosphere and rooms are all really good

Celebrated my birthday here it was exquisite and classy. I really enjoyed the experience and would love to go again.
The hotel rooms are massive and high quality, all the staff are very professional too.

Nice quiet place to stay. Overslept due to black out curtains. Crew kindly still provided small breakfast at 11 am.

I all ways wanted to stay on this ship but there was very little atmosphere due to the covid pandemic.
You need to be a were of the service charges that are added to your bill even though you have no choice on were to have your dinner or getting a drink from the bar.
Payed a lot of money for dinner to be brought to the room and the time I got to my desert all the ice cream had melted and it was cold along with my dinner as they brought your stater, main and desert all at the same time.
When i book my room you have the choice of a river view or quey side, we went for river view I can tell you, you can't see the river so I was miss lead with this discription.
It should be renamed water View or basin view.
I can say I have done this but I won't be going back this was not a good wedding anniversary experience for us.

Beautiful yacht. Elegant decor and lighting. Very welcoming. Had a fantastic time at a business event and all white after party on the top deck which was ours exclusively for the night. Ended up staying one night in a double room with a friend after the event. Room service was available and enjoyed. The room itself had a window and was a nice size with good amenities, tv, coffee machine etc.
However, on a very warm day the aircon system did not work in the room and I felt the staff could have done a little more to resolve the issue after acknowledging there was an issue. Numerous calls to reception resulted in a fan being brought to the room at some point late in the night but this did not meet our needs. I believe a discount was offered upon check out which was the only right thing to do, so thank you.
Breakfast was good. I would recommend this hotel.

Absolutely lovely and prestigious hotel. Staff very friendly and polite. Got complimentary drinks and chocolates when staff heard it was our anniversary. Room is clean and we got one ober looking the thames. Nice decor. Feels like you are on a cruise ship. Love it. Great for the kids as well who enjoyed watching speed boats from the deck.

A lovely 3 course meal for a decent price in a place that feels like luxury but not obnoxiously so. The staff were very welcoming and somehow despite being on a fancy yacht, there was still a homey feel about it. Great view, shame it was too cold to go outside though!

The actual yacht hotel is fab, their restaurant food quality is excellent, the rooms are excellent, the service I got was not really as I expected, while I was checking in another guest just butted in and the receptionist just left me standing there while she attended the other guest. When I sat down for breakfast the coffee was served without milk, and I had to go and get my own, as did a fellow guest. There were actually lots of waiters working but getting anyone's attention was a bit difficult, and finally I don't mind tattoos but in a service business they need to be discreet, one waiter had a huge one on his neck which looked awful for a role such a breakfast waiter. Finally, I think their staff need to speak better English. Checkout experience very good.

Nice hotel, with big bedrooms. great cocktails, the food is a little over priced, the staff are friendly and accommodating.

Quite pricey but amazing experience.

My partner brought me here for my birthday treat ,beautiful yacht food excellent although mains bit pricey, we had rib eye although it was lovely there was not much thought in the presentation and garnish but still enjoyed

Overall it was a pleasant experience. Hotel is beautiful, room was big and clean. But few things gave the hotel a bit of a cheap feeling:
1. The fact they charge deposit when you check in
2. TV in the room in so old and only has free channels. Many budget hotels now have paid channels
3. Coffee at the breakfast was very disappointing, bad tasting filtered coffee. You expect to have a decent coffee machine at the hotel of this level
4. Breakfast finishes at 10.30 am. We got to the restaurant at 10.20 and things like mushrooms, hash browns and eggs were almost finished. And seem like no one tried to refill the trays. People who came after us did not get any hash browns and mushrooms
