V. H.The staff is really nice! I had a 7 day reservation and my flight got cancelled last minute, usually hostels charge you at least for the first night, but they didn't charge at all, even though I could be there only for three nights. Location is nice, I felt safe walking late in the area and you have anything you could need to a walking distance. It's absolutely necessary to use the metro to get to the tourist attractions but the station is really close. Would come back!
R. B.The owner is great. Can get single rooms with a twin or double bed. Bar below so don't need to go anywhere else for a drink. It is like a Cheers bar with wonderful, eclectic regulars. Also it is close to both the above ground train and the subway station, which makes it easy to get to and from the airport or anywhere else around London. The botanical gardens is just a short tube ride from the closest line.
E. T.Had difficulty locating it because we didn't realize the Talbot Bar was the entry point (noticed a small sign on the door after carefully rereading the booking confirmation). Very friendly and helpful staff and the rooms are clean. Minimalist in the way of furniture, as to be expected with a hostel. We thought we had booked a double (two twins side by side that could be pushed together, but we were placed into a room with a bunk bed set. Good WiFi connection and fully equipped kitchen free to use. Two bathrooms with showers shared between approximately 10 guest rooms.
C. Z.Really nice hostel, located in a quiet area. The room was simple, clean and comfortable, I had an excellent night's sleep. Close to the tube station. The landlady was so nice, friendly and helpful as well!
N. D.Rooms are very basic, but it's a hostel so you shouldn't be expecting anything a whole lot. Everything, including the bathrooms, was very clean though. Nice bar below with a good local crowd and nice vibe. Less than a half hour to downtown London through the tube including walking time.
K. M.The hostel is close to the Acton town tub station. Very easy walk! Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Kitchen is fully stocked and plenty of fridge space. Staff are friendly and helpful. Close to grocery stores.
F. S.Nice Palace to stay, beautiful neighborhood! Hosts are really kind, we had problems getting there so we arrived at 3:30 am. They welcomed us without problems giving us maps and information about the city.

The owner and the bartender are friendly people. It's good to sit at the bar in the evening and talk to both of them, and my girlfriend and I were invited to the weekly poker round.
The rooms are ok, you can use the kitchen if you are not fussy.
You have to consider that the hostel is not close to the city center, so a subway ticket must always be bought! There is a cheap shop in the immediate vicinity (5 minutes' walk). On the whole further to be recommended!

Das Hostel kann ich weiter empfehlen.
Der Besitzer und die Baarkeeperin sind freundliche Menschen. Man kann abends gut an der Bar sitzen und mit beiden reden, auch wurden meine Freundin und ich in die wöchentliche Pokerrunde eingeladen.
Die Zimmer sind ok, die Küche kann man benutzen wenn man nicht pingelich ist.
Bedacht werden muss, das Hostel liegt nicht in der Nähe der Innenstadt, so muss immer ein Subwayticket gekauft werden! Ein billiger Einkaufsladen gibt es dafür in direkter Nähe (5 Min Fußweg). Im großen Ganze weiter zum empfehlen!
