This has been the best Hostel experience. Amazing friendly and caring staff. Clean beds. The other people in the Dorm where really chill and friendly. The discount is worth it coz the Burgers are so tasty. I love this place and will definitely return when I am back in London. To put it plain and simple I LOVE the crown Battersea! Mixed feelings about this place. Had a good experience apart from being charged £5.60 for a lemonade with a small amount of beer. Never been charged the price of a full pint for a lemonade. If it was a shandy I'd understand more as it's half beer, but I could barely taste the beer. Pretty diabolical. No budging when I complained either. Otherwise had a good experience, friendly manager and good vegan burger.

It was nice. They had a TV and good burgers. My 2 friends are vegetarian and said they were the best veggie burgers they have had. I have a meat burger, it was nice. The staff were friendly and were on top of their work. It was a good evening!

Great hostel with friendly and accommodating employees! The pub has good food, drink selection, delicious espresso beverages, with a comfortable lax feel. The rooms are clean and have lockers, they’re a tiny bit crammed but each bunk has a sense of privacy to it. I’d definitely stay here again, or one of their other locations!

Nice hostel. Bathrooms could be a little cleaner (at least some of them), but everything worked and so it was fine. We stayed in a 15 people bedroom, so it was a little noisy. Windows don't open full, so that's a problem in summer (heat and smell!). Nice food and drinks in the restaurant!

Nice pub/hostel, the pub have stylish interior, lovely atmosphere. Good selection of drinks, freshly prepared, tasty burgers. The hostel area is a bit disapointing. Toilets need more attention, many times was no toilet paper, no soap. Room is generally in good condition. However the cleaning isn't great. The cleaner didn't mopped up the floor and as a resoult the dust was floating around in the air causing difficulties to breathing. Despite some issues and inconvenience it was an ok stay.

The staff is pretty friendly but a little desorganized. The rooms are a bit too small for 18 beds, luckily my room wasn’t full. But the beds and bathrooms are pretty good, it doesn’t felt like it was old and dirty. The pub downstairs is very nice and a good place to chill and eat, which is very close to good markets, restaurants and a few steps to a bus station.

Good atmosphere, good food, decent prices

Very clean and secure place. They even have a locker in each room for each bed to store you belonging. Just take a key and padlock with you. Fresh towels that you can keep after you've used it. Definitely recommend this place. Open 24hrs and can get a fresh cup of coffee at 3am. Now how good is that 😊. Thank you guys. Customer service is 7 stars. Just need a microwave to make it 10 stars lol.

Super casual hostel and bar with a relaxed feeling to it. Super friendly staff members who take their time to make sure you are enjoying the establishment. The bar features local craft beer which I absolutely adore and offers a wide varied pub menu which include everyday brunch items. The hostel side so far seems quite nice requiring 2 codes to enter the hostel itself and your room. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. I personally found the temp of the room to be extremely hot but maybe it's because I'm used to -30 degree celcius weather right now being Canadian. Over all it's been a good experience and I would recommend this place for anyone especially a budget traveler.

Nice hostel for the price, I liked the rooms but they were very hot. I only disliked the washrooms, they could be cleaner and the water pressure wasn't good, you also have to push the water tap all the time. The staff was really nice, 5 stars for them.

You get what you pay for. Cheapest bed is on a triple deck bunk bed. Very little headroom. Very busy shared toilets and showers. Very comfy duvets and pillows!!! I didn't try their food downstairs. The showers have liquid soap dispensers but you have to bring your own towel.

I like coming back here because of the clean bedding (nice if it had curtains), the hospitality, they're very nice about you sitting in the bar. And, a very courteous gentleman by the name of Paul (he works mid nights). He's very easy to talk to, kind, and makes me feel most welcomed. Thank you!

The staff were friendly, however the rooms were really hot and stuffy which became uncomfortable and sickly. Which isn't great in a mixed dorm as it's not easy for us ladies to feel safe sleeping in our undies to be cool enough. I also stayed here as I was doing some workshops near by and was hoping to get a decent nights sleep, the bar said it closed at midnight online however music was blasting all evening so I couldn't sleep, still going at nearly 1am. Music loud enough to be able to clearly tell what songs are playing too. Not sure if staff were having a lock in but would be good to be mindful of music levels. Even in the bar area it seemed quite loud so wouldn't ruin atmosphere to turn it down for everyone. Anyway hoping the music goes off soon so I can actually sleep here!

As a visitor, I've stayed in the hostel at The Crown and, as a resident of SW London, have had the occasional visit for a drink or three... it's a pretty cool place. The hostel is of an average standard, though clean enough and has everything you need if you don't mind a no-frills bed for the night. The staff have always been helpful and friendly and, as a boozer, it's got a reasonable selection of drinks and a nice little beer garden out front. Personally, I preferred the old island bar format - it reminded me of Cheers! - though it makes sense to have the bar on the left (as it now is) to give one side of the lounge a common room type feel for paying guests.

Great staff. Good location in that there is a bus stop right outside the door. Clean rooms. Bathrooms need a bit of cleaning. Great price. The burger was fantastic! There is also a great brick oven pizza place, right across the street, that was wonderful.

What makes this pub fantastic is the staff and that cannot be stressed enough. They make it a wonderful experience every time you walk in the door. The food and drink is nice and the hostel rooms since being renovated are ok some of the nicer ones in london. Definitely come on Thursday for the pub quiz, the quiz master Jake is wonderful!

Good security from each room, Good transport links, buses and tubes/train stations within a 10 minute walk. Great for over night stays, or for solo travellers. Had to get our beds re made as they hadnt been done for our arrival, but once clean they were so comfortable. Smells of fresh paint and everything else was spotlessly clean. Felt safe staying there too. Daytime receptionist was lovely. Night time receptionist was a nightmare and we had to tell him how to do his job.

Very warm and welcoming staff, you enter straight into the bar which is great and comfortable, the rooms are alright - clean, the bed's aren't squeaky, there's enough space and there are lockers. The only thing that put me off the first night was a really weak water flow from the shower I used and also there was no hot water, only mild-temperature one, but it was ok because I didn't have to wash my hair, and the rest of the nights it was fine. The stairs are quite narrow and you have to watch your step but that's not a reason not to recommend this hostel. Also, I had to spend more than half an hour every day to get to the centre but it wasn't much of a problem because I love using public transport when I'm travelling, it enables me to get to know the city and learn how it works :)

Was a bit tired, but has been done up and was at the reopening. New management are lovely, staff helpful and efficient. Menu is simple and the burger was really tasty. Very good gins & beers, and just a lovely atmosphere.

Nice hostel with recently updated dorms and well equipped bathrooms/washrooms. Outlets and baskets in each bunk to hold personal items and small lockers, one assigned for each bunk. However, the dorm was quite stuffy and hot despite it not being above 65 Fahrenheit outside.

Don't get the pizzas, they are cooked from frozen and suck. Burgers are small and underwhelming. Beer selection is good. Rooms have lockers and are standard trip bunks. No curtains which is horrible. Bathrooms are fine, little dirty but you'll get over it. The pub is really good, especially so if you have a good group to be with. Location is okay, closest tube is like a 20 minute walk - chapham Commons. Stay here cuz it's cheap.

Have stayed here for a night on a trip to london, good place for bachelors, cafe downstairs is good, wifi connection was good, view from the window was good, only the stairs were narrow and i had luggage.hence slightly difficult, cleanliness of the toilets could be improved, the rooms have 9 beds (3x3) if more people have luggage could get stuffy, bed/pillow were clean and comfortable, could sleep well(luckily no loud snorers..) check in check out was easy(passport/Id proof reqd), the guy was courteous and allowed me to keep my luggage after checking out my room (10.00 am) and was allowed to sit in the cafe for 2 hours surfing the net. All in all a good value for money proposition.

The Crown has been our local for the last 14 months and has been nothing but outstanding on every occasion. The beer is great, the atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are friendly and the food epic - all round the perfect pub. During the summer the team at the Crown have delivered for us on multiple occasions, including hosting a group of friends in their very reasonably priced and comfortable hostel and hosting an informal rehearsal dinner with friends and family on very short notice, with no hassle or fuss. Sadly we are now moving out of the area, but will be back to visit!

The three of us needed somewhere to stay and we ended up here. It did the job perfectly, especially for the cost. Only downside was the radiator being stuck on full whack so had to open the window all night (traffic noise). Oh and the naked guy who didn't lock the toilet.

Visited The Crown as I was recommended to go and try the burgers that are being served as part of the Burger Craft pop up. It did not disappoint, I had "The Juicy Bastard" burger with hash browns. The burger was a tower of goodness and hash browns cooked to perfection. The pricing was reasonable and the staff were warm and friendly. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a tasty burger in a welcoming environment.

Unique and atmospheric gem! A fully refurbished, contemporary place, lovely atmosphere with high quality delicious foods / menu & craft beers. Rooms are clean, bedding also. The beds are triple deck bunk beds with very little head room. Bed needs a bit more privacy eg. curtain & vertical separation from the other's noises (snoring) You have a private locker in the room - but you need a padlock. This is my 2nd staying here and I still definitely have a good impression. 1st I had bites, 2nd time, no bed bugs. Staff is abs okay and kind. The place is safe: there was a very impertinent problematical quest here - the staff had dealt with the situation quickly, within 15 mins, and with highly polite manner! Grat!

Thursday Quiz Night it’s good fun in a group although be prepared for a long pub quiz that goes on for 2-3 hours finishing around 11-11:30, drinks a pretty over priced for a hostel and in general for the area, and food isn’t bad! I would suggest the pancakes!

The rooms are small and with little private space but still clean. The mattresses are uncomfortable and we bang easily so it's narrow. The hostel provided a comforter and a good pillow, which is good. The sanitary are good, clean also. The hosts are not friendly to a hostel, they do not talk to you. And there is no atmosphere (neither good nor bad). The price / quality ratio is still interesting considering the location. (Original) Auberge de jeunesse située à proximité du centre -ville de Londres (une vingtaine de minutes en train). Accueil cordial, sans plus. Je m'attendais à mieux pour l'accueil pour une auberge de jeunesse. Les chambres sont petites et avec peu d'espace privé mais tout de même propre. Les matelas sont peu confortables et on se cogne facilement tellement c'est étroit. L'auberge fourni une couette et un bon oreiller, ce qui est bien. Les sanitaires sont biens, propres également. Les hôtes ne sont pas sympathiques pour une auberge de jeunesse, ils ne vous parlent pas. Et il n y a pas d'ambiance (ni bonne, ni mauvaise). Le rapport qualité / prix est tout de même intéressant compte tenu de la localisation.

To ostatnie było zaskoczeniem, bo na parterze znajduje się klimatyczny pub. Dobry dojazd – tuż obok przystanek autobusu 345 (ze stacji Clapham North). Miła obsługa. Najlepszy stosunek jakości do ceny. Z wad: tylko dwie ubikacje w całym obiekcie (na parterze (w pubie) i na piętrze), kłopoty z wentylacją -- w gorące dni pokoje były przegrzane, ciasno (ale to standard w obiektach tego typu).
