A. A.We had an absolutely lovely experience at The Franklin. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, especially when it came to COVID testing for travelers in and out of the UK. They made the process easy and worry free! The location of the hotel is within walking distance/short ride to major points of interest and dining options. The hotel accommodations and amenities made us feel like we were on a dream vacation! Thank you for everything!
C. F.I had a 1 night stay at The Franklin in August. I arrived before check-in, but was able to get into the room, which was excellent after a long flight and a lot of travel. The staff were all remarkably friendly and professional. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The room was very well appointed and spotless. I can't begin to express how happy I was while there. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. It was absolutely a refreshing sleep. It was unfortunate that it was only a one night stay. When I return to London in the future, I hope to stay here for a much longer time frame.
T.What a stunning hotel! I simply adore the decor. Sadly I wasn’t there to spend the night but I had stopped by for afternoon tea which was delightful and I hope to return at some point to have a full meal in feb restaurant (and stay in one of the beautiful rooms)

N.On arrival we were told we had been upgraded to an executive suite which was a very nice surprise however, the room was dark , the bedroom area small and cramped and not what i expected for a 5 star hotel. We had to ask for more tea and coffee for the bedroom as only given a small amount. There was no mirror near a plug socket so had to improvise to do my hair. There was no atmosphere in the bar on Saturday evening or in the restaurant for breakfast on Sunday morning. The staff are all very attentive and polite but the place just lacks some life.
The breakfast was nice and plenty of choice but I am not sure I would stay here again if in the area.
J.We had our pre-wedding night here! We had so much going on with so many people coming in and out of the hotel! Thank you for being so understanding and putting up with us.
There was never too much trouble for all the staff at the Franklin. We really got spoilt with fruit in the room and a room upgrade too!
The hotel is stunning. When you walk into those doors, you feel like you have walked into another world. Our makeup artists and photographers and of course ourselves we’re totally blown away!
If you like the Gatsby movie and real class and beauty with all the service to match then this is the place to be!
Pillows were too soft my liking and room was too warm for me but other than that pretty much perfect! Breakfast was amazing.

M.Small and stylish boutique hotel, staff were mostly great, charming and well intentioned. Our room was a good size, it overlooked a pretty garden square. Unfortunately the hotel let itself down on a few key areas that suggest it may be more style than substance, for example heating system was not able to maintain a constant temperature with nights getting very hot, a number of the blinds and curtains were broken and the breakfast wasn’t great, missing a few basics like butter and normal condiments on both days we were there. We had a particularly unpleasant experience at 1am on the night before check out with the night staff insisting we pay part of our bill then and there, which was not something I’d experienced at a quality hotel before.
All in all, it looks great but misses the mark on some of the basics of great hospitality. For the money I’d suggest a more traditional 5* peer in the area.
E. B.Great little bar and very welcoming staff. The hotel is situated on a lovely backyard and it all feels very homey. We will definitely be back to review the restaurant and dinner, as well as the rooms. From a design point of view, we were definitely very impressed.
Location wise, perfect for hotel guests to access a number of museums, Harrods, Hyde Park, tube etc. while sleeping in a quiet street.
S. P.Our stay at the Franklin was outstanding - beautiful room, and a lovely hotel. Service was impeccable and staff could not have been more helpful. Service at breakfast was a little slow, but I think this more due to the late hour that we dined than anything else. I did also find it a little odd the amount of times I had to give my credit card details as there weren't any charges aside from the room cost - online, on arrival and then on check-out. But these are very minor things in an otherwise faultless experience at a spectacular hotel.

Hotel is the most beautiful I have been to in London but the real added value here is the staff.
Reception team made a real difference in our experience, always helpful and lead by really nice managers.
Bar is small but cosy and cocktails are great! Just let the super skilled bar manager know what you like and he will create something amazing for you!
You book a first time for the ambiance and great location but come back thanks to the staff and the service they deliver.
K. A.This hotel is absolutely superb. From the moment we arrived until departure we were made to feel totally at home - in luxury surroundings. Our room (junior suite) was beautiful & spacious and the bathroom had a deep bath and 2 rainfall showers. The staff, especially the reception staff, couldn't have been more helpful and really set the mark very high in terms of service. The only negative point is the lack of a chest of drawers or somewhere to unpack clothes. There is an area for hanging clothes but no proper wardrobe. Everything else was beyond excellent!

The room was lovely, spacious and well appointed. Spotless clean and all the amenities were included for a perfect stay at a home away from home.
The gardens are beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet, yet, when you cross a block, you are on a main street with many shops, fabulous restaurants and Harrods. The underground was close and it was a fantastic walking area. We will definitely stay here again. It was a wonderful experience and we thank each and every one of the professional and kind staff for making our stay a perfect one.

A perfect concierge who will always arrange the taxi for you at the right moment, a room service that assure that everything is clean and comfortable to rest at night, staff members ready to fix in no time any problem you may have. What to say: the perfect elegant and calm corner where to recharge your energies after a busy day.

C. E. D.I have had the honor of staying at this fabulous place many times along with 4 Governors during business trips. Staff and Service is second to none... They remember your name and if u liked the room you were previously in.... They will get u back in that exact room. Wanted to go see a play 15 minutes before it started and I needed just one ticket. That one ticket was on the 3rd row center on the end. Wish US hotels had this service NOT expecting a tip... But u don't mind tipping these folks because they take their job so seriously and want you to enjoy your stay. U can stay in bigger better known places... But why do that if this hotel is already perfect!
s. h.We had booked our wedding night here. However, after the hotel we were going to stay at the night before let us down so spectacularly, we had only one thought, which was to book the night before at the Franklin too. And we were not let down; we were greeted warmly by staff who went out of their way to help us. The day before the wedding the staff helped organise treatments for my wife at very late notice. We had drinks that night at the bar with a few close friends and, again, the staff were brilliant. All our guests commented on the fantastic service.
Our junior suite was beautiful, comfortable and very clean.
On the day of the wedding, staff were happy to help assist all the people that arrived at the hotel on the wedding day- they even had housekeeping change the sheets and make the bed (even though we weren't staying in the same suite) so our photos would be perfect. They helped ferry up wedding bouquets etc. On the wedding night our second suite was incredible, the effort the staff had gone to was fantastic. We were so amazed. Rose petals, champagne, wedding card.... Honestly we we're blown away. The suite itself is beautiful and decor unrivalled.
We also had drinks at the bar on the second night, and once again the staff were brilliant. We really were made to feel like the only guests in the hotel which was not the case.
We will 100% be returning, the hotel is beatiful and staff are some of the best in the world.

Such an exquisite boutique hotel on a quaint quiet street. The attention to detail at every level is impressive.
The lobby, restaurant, bar, sitting rooms, and the actual suites - all feel quaint, but luxurious.
The staff is extremely professional, accommodating and pleasant -- Adding to our wonderful experience.
There is only one small recommendation - in the sitting area of the suites a bit more light is needed.
It will be difficult to stay anywhere else in London - Highly recommend!

This is my second stay in six months and it just gets better! Thank you to all the lovely staff. Breakfast was delicious, my favourite place to sit is in the restaurant (even for a drink) to enjoy the beautiful green garden in contrast to the fabulous interiors of black and grey. The Franklin is so calm I feel like it's my home with all the advantages of a hotel. My husband loved the hamman and our room with the enormous bathroom. Can't wait to return! Thank you again for your help with all my requests! We love the Franklin!
L. O.I can't say enough about how great this hotel is.....so happy we selected this amazing hotel. Not only was the room clean and modern but the staff were so helpful and friendly! My daughter ended up leaving her cellphone on a black London cab and the awesome driver called us from her phone and I asked him to take it back to the Franklin (because we were on a train to Paris at the time.). I then worked with the Franklin to overnight her phone to Paris. They were so helpful in getting this done for us. Thanks to everyone at The Franklin for a wonderful stay!!!!!
S. V.I really enjoyed the hotel. During check in I was charged for 2 rooms, since me and a friend have booked together. Although I have asked for independent credit cards for each room, I was charged for both.
Breakfast is great. Unfortunately I was attending a medical congress and left the hotel before the buffet was ready for guests, so I couldn't enjoy it the last 4 days.
The room was very cozy.
Location was perfect.

There had been several events: e.g. when they brought a cake to congratulate my son, when the organized the doctor for me daughter etc. The hotel was nicely decorated and the breakfast /dinner good quality. The original room received had been to small - but the one we got later was just right.

m. j.Comfortable well beautifully designed small rooms, quit environment. Unexperienced young staff, not particularly interested in their guests. Excellent food in restaurant and impeccable drinks in the bar. The breakfast did not function at all, wrong time for serving (on morning up to 1 hour!), wrong orders, undrinkable coffee... Staff at the departure completely unexperienced and very unprofessional. Maybe extra persons as it was Sunday morning?

The room was comfotable with a pleasant view but, unfortunately, on the 5th floor (one floor over the elevator service) in a sort of attic that make the room a little bit narrow, other "bug" just an open wardrobe.

The location, whilst extremely quiet is well placed for South Kensington Tube Station and bus routes too.
The room was very good, the bar was great without the struggle to get seated as is often the case in London hotels and the breakfast was a delight.
All the staff were great and we’d definitely return.

C. I.On arriving at the hotel I found the reception area very dark and dull and not at all welcoming, however the staff were charming. Our room was also very dark and dull, decorated in dark grey throughout.
There was no complimentary tea or coffee which would have been a nice touch as the cost of staying here was very high.
We left early on Chelsea Flower Show day and returned at 2.30pm and our room had not been serviced in this time!!!
S. G.Had a lovely one night stay. Room fab, decor in public rooms lovely. Sadly didn’t have time for the hammam etc. Nice atmosphere. Breakfast a little bit of a let down. With a £35 price tag, and with food very well presented, waiting for 15 mins for a pat of butter to eat my bread was disappointing. Overall, though, I’d recommend the hotel.

When you enter you are greeted by friendly staff and a dark art deco interior.
The restaurant had a carefully curated selection of Italian cuisine and the presentation of the dishes was more than interesting.

R. S.What can I say about The Franklin, this hotel completely blew us away! I booked a Thursday night stay on our way back from Paris as a surprise for my fiancé’s 30th birthday and WOW. The staff are friendly, helpful and a 5/5 on the customer service scale. I spent a few day emailing the hotel about our special occasion and everything was spot on, they even provided us with a cake, balloons and an upgrade (to the Presidential Suite), they took care of us like royalty. The room was spotless, well equipped and had a lovely ambiance. Our meal in the restaurant couldn’t of been better, it was an absolute treat and was perfectly executed, tasted delightful and again the service made the experience even more special. I can’t thank the hotel enough for making our stay exceptional. I have been recommending this hotel all week to my clients in my business and will continue to do so as neither of us can praise them enough. My fiancé was absolutely delighted.
R. Z.I recently was a guest at the Franklin Hotel in Chelsea Knightsbridge area. The Franklin is a marvelous hotel, the staff is wonderful and very helpful. The location is so convenient, allowing you to shop locally at Harrods, walk to a series of nice restaurants and easy access to the Tube. I enjoyed the breakfast. The rooms are very comfortable and equipped with the latest technology to ensure the modern traveling has what they need to be productive. However, it is the beauty and ambiance of the hotel and the great staff that make it a great place to stay!

D. B.We only stayed one night at this beautifully decorated hotel in Knightsbridge, to attend a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in the evening (a short walk away). It's a very smart, contemporary boutique hotel with all the amenities you'd need and expect (even a garden - which is unusual for central London). The stand out feature though was the friendly staff, who were welcoming and professional and made you feel comfortable from arrival to departure. The Franklin is definitely on my shortlist to stay again.
P. B.This does not meet the standards of a 5 star hotel for me. The bath tub was faulty and the air con was weak. The rooms are small.
S. C.This is a beautifully designed luxury hotel, well-located for Knightsbridge, museums etc. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom well-appointed. The staff are warm, friendly and made us feel very welcome throughout the stay. We didn't have breakfast but did have cocktails in then bar (the mixologist is very good). I would highly recommend this hotel and would return.
M. A.My stay at The Franklin has been one of my really favourite stays in London. The hotel is so cozy and comfortable. The location is ideal and accessible to so many museums, shopping districts and major London's landmarks. The staff at the reception and the concierge were really friendly and very helpful. They were a big help for securing me great seats at the theatre in such short notices. I loved the hotel interior and decors in all the places. My room was so beautiful and very nicely designed. I think the smartphone that is placed in the room is very helpful. I used it for few times. It was really great! I was lucky enough to be at the hotel during the time of the special exhibition of Frida Kahlo at the Victoria and Albert Museum and was able to try the special afternoon tea and got a ticket to the sold-out exhibition. I have recommended the hotel to so many friends and family members and some of them have already booked their stays at The Franklin for December. I will always keep it as my number one choice whenever I plan to come to London.
G. R.Once again, a terrific experience with Starhotels. After such a nice, recent stay at The Pelham in South Kensington, decided to try The Franklin. Was not disappointed. I really like the personal, elegant feel there. When you enter it feels like being in a home. Food was very good, and I like the breakfast selection. The only suggestion is to put in a shower downstairs next to the steam room. The gym is small but effective, but would be nice to have a shower after the steam room before going back to the room. Otherwise all great, and especially the friendly, professional service.

A. D.A hidden gem two blocks from Harrods. Has a gorgeous Courtyard in the centre which is exclusive to the hotel. The bacon and tarrot poached egg breakfast was off the chart. N. K.I arrived to the hotel quite early just to drop off my bags. I was surprised to hear my room was ready, not only that, I received a complimentary upgrade! Throughout my stay, the service was fantastic. All staff were wonderful and went out of their way to ensure my stay was perfect. I will be back!!

C. S.The Franklin is a lovely hotel but seems too obsessed with branding and not enough about the individual customers needs. Corridors are very dark painted in 'Wormwood Scrubs' grey, our room too although beautiful and stylish wasn't big enough to carry the dark walls and there was no desk which you would expect in a superior double as almost everyone these days has a laptop. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, come on guys even you basic Travel Lodge would have the means to make yourself a hot drink, for some reason our curtains were changed after our first night the curtains which were taken down were left on the chair for the duration of our stay. Our room 402 was right next to the stairwell where the house keeping were coming through talking loudly andbanging about outside our door, they then hoovered outside the door and even under the door, so much for 'do not disturb' we were on holiday and wanted some relaxation in a morning. Overall a nice hotel, would we stay again? No would we recommend to a friend? No. There are plenty of hotels in London for a similar price who respect your wishes not to be disturbed and where you can when you decide to get up make yourself a cup of coffee. But above all, I would point out the extremely kindness and efficiency of all the Hotel Staff members: From Mico and Sandro the Concierge, who brilliantly recommended me the best places in London for eating out, to Fabiola at the Breakfast Room and Salvarore in charge of the Bar. All of them made my staying at the Franklin Hotel a wonderful experience in this five star boutique hotel, that I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about spending some days in London and looking forward a very charming experience in a very well located beautiful hotel.
j.We visited the Franklin Hotel, the weekend of April 20th. We were invited for a wedding in London.
Once we arrived at the beautiful hotel, everybody took care of us : a little tea/coffee, friendly staff(without being pushy though), the concierge was a real hero: I made all my appointments very late but I had an amazing hairdresser, nice restaurant for 2, taxi in a couple of minutes,.. he was just great! Regarding the room, the hotel offered us an upgrade: pure luxury! The cocktails at te bar, even the virgin cockaitls were delicious! We were "pampered" from the beginning of our stay until the end. Special thanks to Mr. Miko Selcuk, who is a super nice gentlemen and help for the car rental for our countryside trip to costwolds.
